walk-in at 9:05pm ( they closed at 10 ) , i asked if it ok, they agreed to serve, sit us down then have an attitude said you need to order now kitchen is close soon , ok fine we ordered in 5 minutes . we have 4 adults , 2 babies and 1 infant , the server/ manager ( name Kamin show in the reciept ) included 20% tip and we asked her why since the baby and infant not eat , she start to fight with us honestly we always leave good tip anyway but she have the worst attitude ever , we been here many many times the food is good but nope never again , you can always refuse us when we walk in if you don't feel comfortable to stay late ...

Food was good. Didn’t take too long to arrive after ordering, accommodated for no fish sauce, brown rice requests. Vegetarian menu, lots of options. Aesthetic ambience.

I’ve been a regular at this restaurant for almost 10 years, but my recent experience was disappointing. We arrived at 9 p.m., an hour before closing, with a group of seven (four adults, two babies under two, and one infant). Although they agreed to let us in, the service was poor, and the staff’s attitude (her name is Kamin) was unpleasant. Despite ordering right away, we felt rushed and unwelcome, and our group, consisting of 4 adults and 3 babies who were not eating, was charged an additional 20% for the tip.

The staff's behavior was unacceptable. They threw the food on the table as if we were eating without paying. When I politely asked for an explanation about the 20% charge, the staff member yelled at me. She then aggressively grabbed the bill from my hand and, upon returning, slammed it on the table, leaving us all shocked.

I would not recommend this place to anyone due to their unprofessional and rude service.

This was my second visit which was overdue. Their service, food and ambient lighting altogether create a delightful environment. A wonderful place to enjoy dining alone or with others.

10/06/24 It’s been a while since I last visited Bangkok. The food arrived on time, still hot and well-packaged. However, without the table spices, the flavors I was expecting were missing. This will be my last time ordering through the DoorDash app. Next time, I’ll visit the restaurant to fully enjoy the authentic flavors.

This place is racist towards white people. If you are white and order anything beyond mild, it doesn’t matter, it will still be mild. I ordered a level 5 spice and my toddler could eat it. If my black wife orders for me, it is done right. Interesting coincidence. *Bangkok Garden, there are white people in this world who love actually very spicy food and get Thai food because it can be very spicy. Ding Ding.*

You gotta be kidding me! No Larp or Yum salad? No yellow curry? Need to put those on the menu ASAP! Norfolk location has a bigger selection by far!

All the foods are delicious

I didn’t like the Kai Saparot. It’s extremely sweet. The egg rolls are just okay. I feel like I wasted my money. I can’t eat that Kai Saparot. It is way too sweet.

Just ordered from this place and disappointed. Food was in very small portions considering it 20 for one person. It has more sauce than food.

Good service, food always delicious and served quickly, atmosphere is very nice. I particularly recommend the, pad Thai woon sen, Thai red curry and pad kee mao! For dessert the mango sticky rice is very good, and not too sweet. Several delicious vegetarian options as well, so there's something on the menu for everyone.

Their pad Thai is AMAZING! Honestly one of the best I’ve had yet. The restaurant atmosphere is really nice too! Really enjoyed my experience here. Would definitely come back again

Ordered pad Thai with the lowest spicy rating we could and it was so spicy we were crying after a few bites. If you like spicy food though, it’s pretty good.

Amazing food, decent prices, sadly the wait time is long even if you're picking up. I only ever see two waitresses, even when they're at their peak leading to slow service. Expect to wait if you come, but the food is worth it.

This is a cozy place for dining. I love the vibe in the restaurant, and their servers are very friendly. My husband and I enjoyed the goong houm pa (lumpia with jumbo shrimp).

I had planned on going to a fast food place, but the line was crazy. Leaving the parking lot, I saw a Bangkok Garden ... I love Thai food! I decided to go for something other than my favorite Pad See Ew and try the crab fried rice. OMG, am I so glad I did! What amazed me was the amount of lump crab meat, not the weird phony stuff but real crab. Service was prompt with the biggest drinks at a sit-down place. I can't wait to return and try more.

Food tasted better than chinese food BUT.I paid 20 buks for beef and rice and the beef portion was like for the child berely any meat at all. WE NEED MORE MEAT . i can get 2 new york strip steaks for 20 dollars

So I order from here all the time sometimes I eat there sometimes I order delivery like I did tonight. Normally I would give it 5 stars without a second thought... this time not so much. 4 out of 5 items I ordered turned out good but the last item not so much, it was spicy eggplant one of my favorite dishes but this time not only was it basically room temperature and didn't have as much broth/sauce it Normally does but it was clearly not finished cooking both the peppers and the eggplant were both basically raw. If it was just cold I wouldn't really care that much if it was just the peppers being under cooked i would of just shrugged it off but the under cooked eggplant really disappointed me.

We usually go to the one on Hilltop. Among other things, we ordered chicken paad thai - what should normally be a signature dish for Thai food. The noodle was dry, clumpy, and without any flavor. Couldn't believe it. It needs consistency. Why does McDonald's or any fast food places keep doing good? I believe it's because of consistency. Everything tastes exactly as expected.

I came here with some friends while I was not that hungry, I ordered some appetizers. This particular night, they were having some staffing challenges. There was only one gentleman working the front of the house doing the best he could to keep all of the guests pleased. We noticed that we were waiting to be seated and decided to still give this place a try.

I ordered the plamouk tod (calamari rings) and Siam wings. The calamari rings were delicious! I will be getting more of these when I return to this establishment. The Siam wings were a bland to me. The dipping sauce saved the day, but it tasted like the chicken was not seasoned before they cooked it.

The atmosphere of the soothing with nice music and low light. The restaurant is definitely a great one for a date night or get together with friends. I will be returning to this restaurant to do a review with more food. I do not want to take any stars away from the place for the staffing because they were doing the best they could do with what they had and the gentleman was pleasant.

Had a lovely lunch with friends at Bangkok Garden. The staff were pleasant and prompt. The Panang curry and spring rolls are to die for! Highly recommend this place for a quiet, cozy and flavorful bite to eat! Will be coming back soon, hungry for more.

I placed a Uber order. I eat here frequently. Asked for 2 X's spicy. Food was so SPICY you couldn't eat! Called multiple times, left on hold, left messages. NO RESPONSE FROM BANGKOK GARDEN'S. Very disappointing in customer service and who ever made the food!!

This is one of my favorite Thai eateries outside of Thailand. The chefs are very good at making dishes to order (other than the soups). You can get most things spicy or not spicy at all. My favorite is the Thai Basil Chicken Recipe (ผัดกระเพราไก่).

My food was good however did not have the flavor I was expecting. Prepared and served immediately after we placed our order. The staff offered to prepare something else but I declined. As a nice gesture, the manager took the item off my bill. Will definitely return for Thai good the next time I'm in that part of town.

I tried the sweet and sour chicken (sorry I don't remember the Thai name). It was the right amount of sweet! The veggies were perfectly crisp tender.

Try the egg rolls. They are delicious. I think they had the clear noodles in them which gives them a yummy texture. And the sauce to dip it in is fresh and delicious.

The pumpkin curry is amazing.

Ordered take-out from the Lynnhaven location Friday after work. I've gone here a few times before. Customer service was great as usual, however the food was not all good. The chicken and shrimp pad thai tasted slightly burned as did the vegetable spring rolls. The pad thai noodles were dry and appeared overcooked. The jasmine fried rice was filled with yellow & green onions, and egg. The rice is the reason for the 3 stars.

This place is phenomenal! I eat here at least twice a month. Best of the several locations they have. Food is always packaged with care and looks as good in the nice containers they use as it would on the plate. I love the shrimp pad thai, red curry, chicken satay, tempura shrimp, chicken fried rice and the spring rolls. I've tried other things that were also delicious, but always get the ones I've mentioned. Always kind and courteous and my order is always 100% accurate. What a great find, I'll be eating there for life!

Never had Thai before, our waiter made some great recommendations which we picked from. Expecting to share, he brought extra plates but with his detailed recommendations we all chose the perfect dish for ourselves. Everything was hit, fresh and tasted amazing! We will be back to try more dishes!!

I’ve eaten here many times in the past and love their pumpkin curry. Today I ordered my favorite and when I got home it was bland, not at all delicious as it normally is. I called the store and they were very polite and contrite, explaining that they had a new chef on staff. New people make mistakes and that is fine. What makes this a five-star review and keeps me as a repeat customer is their actions. Their head chef remade my meal and when I brought it home; It. Was. Amazing. Try the red curry, it has the perfect balance of sweet, savory and spice. Thank you Bangkok Garden!!

I've eaten Thai food all over the world. The food at Bangkok Garden as is good – or better – than any I have had anywhere.

Always friendly and quick service. Great variety of menu items including some rotating specials on the chalkboard. Star dock for slight inconsistencies - my favorite item to order is vegetable Tom Kah and while it is always delicious, the vegetables included are not always the same, sometimes with more (more filling) other times less.

Huge portion of pad thai compared to other places. The service was awesome, been here 3 times and every time was excellent service. Highly recommend if you love thai food. They're curry was also 5 out of a 5!

My family and I love Bangkok Garden at Hilltop and at TownCenter and have been regular patrons of both for years. Today we ordered from this Salem Crossing location for the first time as we have moved to this side of town. Our experience was disappointing from the initial phone call, the customer service, the portion size of the food, and quality of the food. The woman on the phone taking the order was rushing and impatient which might have contributed to all of orders being incorrect. We ordered the dinner size and received the lunch size of each meal. The heat/pepper intensity in each meal was incorrect causing multiple members of the family to be unable to eat. We ordered combination meats and multiple orders failed to have all of the meats in it. They did not include the salads that typically come with our meal. Overall the experience was not only disappointing in comparison to the other locations but actually unpleasant. Hoping that management will intervene and improve this location as it’s closest to my home but for now we will be looking elsewhere for our Thai cravings.

First there was no manager to address any concerns with the menu item Tempura shrimp. Second they did a poor job trying to convince me that they did not understand. It’s kind of funny they understand money....Crazy who does this stuff to consumers? In the grocery store I buy butterflies shrimp and that’s what they had the nerve to try to pass off as tempura shrimp. They charge as though it was the real deal. So disappointed in this experience had to tell someone to be aware. And to strive to get what you pay for.....

If you’ve been to other locations then you know what to expect. I’m sure it’s not the best example of Thai on the planet but always consistent.

Food is great but the waitresses could be nicer and not so rude to families that bring children. I visited last with my 4 year old and immediately I saw the waitress roll her eyes at us, not sure why I still proceeded to walk in and wait for a table. She continued to be rude to us for no reason and upset because I asked if they had crayons for the kid to color.... I am not coming back again I didn’t feel welcome here and I had prohibited my husband and family to visit this place. Restaurant is advertised as family friendly but your waitresses don’t think that way it seems like we were judged from the minute we walked in

Went here for a small birthday dinner. I ordered a chicken pad Thai, beef Yum salad, and my wife ordered a coconut soup. Before the meals come we each had a ginger salad and one egg roll. However, one hot crispy roll is surely not enough, so we ordered them as an appetizer. The pad Thai was thick and plentiful, so we took some home to eat tomorrow. I have been here several times and never have been disappointed.
