Stopped in here for a weeknight dinner with a friend. The atmosphere was very quaint and quiet around 5:30 and picked up towards the end of our meal. I had the chicken pad Thai with level 2 spicy. I seem to have forgotten how spicy Thai spicy actually was because my spice tolerance was not at that level. Nevertheless, it was still flavorful and the addition of the lemon wedge elevated the dish. The portions were generous as well! I can’t wait to try their other dishes.

Atmosphere is great. People are friendly. Food is underwhelming. Fried rice is under seasoned, so is the drunken noodle. It’s almost flavorless like you are struggling to taste it. The Panang is also pretty underwhelming. I was excited because I love Thai food and it was recommended on a VB group but if you eat here you will be disappointed. Bummer as the atmosphere is great and people working there are very friendly. Won’t be back.

The Chicken Satay and Summer Rolls - Chicken were absolutely the worst that I have ever eaten. I have been going to the restaurant 4 many years and I have eaten Thai food from the mid west to the east coast.. this was a huge disappointment.. I would have gotten my $$ back but on July 30th I got carryout.. the satay was so salty that you could not eat it, the summer rolls had no basil and was mostly lettuce but the worst thing was how thick and tough the Spring Roll Wrappers were.. not edible. This vist was a huge disappointment and I will not ever return.... I wonder WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO WHAT WAS ALWAYS GOOD AND CONSISTENT.. DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$.

We are pretty regular take out customers. The food is constantly good, but today it was just wonderful! Whoever is the cook at Loehman's location on 6/23 should be the trainer for the rest of the cooks. Yum!

Excellent Thai food! The red curry was on point with others I’ve enjoyed in top restaurants in larger cities. Food portions are abundant (yay leftovers). Our server Thipp went out of her way to make sure my meal was completely gluten free. Great experience

This is my favorite Friday night take out. Food is always ready when I arrive. The staff are friendly and I go so much, they know me by name and order!

We got two orders of the drunken noodles with chicken (pad kee mao) and the fried pork wontons (gyow grob). Wow wow wow! Everything was delicious. The homemade sauce that came with the wontons paired perfectly with it. The drunken noodles came with more chicken than I've ever had in the same dish at other Thai restaurants, and more vegetables too (broccoli, onion, and orange/red/green bell pepper among other items). Very happy with our takeout choice. (Would've been nice to eat inside too, the place is beautiful and cozy.)

This has always been a favorite date night restaurant for us over the years. We don't come that often but never have we come and been disappointed. It is always great food and we love the atmosphere and the beautiful, warm, rich wood decor. Highly recommend.

Absolutely NO! Absolutely not going back and i was fooled with all these good reviews! If you’ve been to other Thai cousins before you can tell the bad taste and low quality food in your first try! The food volume is insanely high and that exactly explains the bad quality! The service was also disappointing and very aggressive! We will not be back every again!

Oh my gosh! This is my moving forward to any Thai place here in VB. The drunken noodles are on another level, but what brings me back is the customer service. They recognize me and my kids. They're kind and loving. That Thai tea is on another level!!

My favorite Thai food place

A small group of us ate lunch at the Loehmanns Plaza Virginia Beach location. It was quite busy, however our food came out hot and quickly. I ordered the pad Thai combo with shrimp and chicken, no peanuts and a side of plain jasmine rice. Absolutely delicious! I could taste the freshness of the shrimp and the chicken was thinly sliced into pieces. The pad kee mao (drunken noodles) not pictured, were tasty and a little spicy. We forgot to give the spice level when ordering. The server was attentive and quick. Overall, this restaurant has consistently good food.

Although there was a miscommunication with my order, I asked for fried rice but when I heard the woman say “pad Thai” I thought she meant the same thing, so just make sure to be patient and clarify with whoever takes your order. This was my first time visiting this location and I was impressed by the quality of food and service. The interior is clean and spacious with lovely artwork. If I wasn’t so busy today I would have dined in.

I went to our favorite Bangkok garden to get some food to go. I usually get two Thai iced tea no ice with my order. I would drink some while waiting for our food and asked for a refill when the food is ready. This time, I got a server who doesn't usually take my orders but knows that I'm a regular. I asked for a refill and she replied, "huh" with an attitude. Then, tell me that she "will do this one favor" and tried to explain to me that I can't get a refill since my drink has no ice. I almost told her to give me my tip back so I can buy some more tea. I've been supporting this restaurant through the pandemic at least once a month. I'll be taking a break from this restaurant.

We ordered papaya salad, green curry and chicken satte. Green curry was spice level 1 but still very spicy so make sure what you are opting for. Otherwise taste is good snd servers are friendly and nice.

Whenever we desire Thai, we think of Bangkok Gardens. They have several locations in the Tidewater area, but we are near the Virginia Beach Blvd location in Loman's Plaza.
The restaurant is always clean and comfortable. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. The appetizers are quick to be served and the entree is served at the perfect time.

The menu provides excellent choices. We enjoy everything on the menu. In fact we go once a week and order a different dish each visit.

Randomly craved thai food and ended here since it was the closest place to me. The food was amazing, the panang curry was simply perfect and the spring roll was outstanding. To top it all off the Customer Service that they provide was immaculate! Will definitely be making this a regular spot.

Food was great! I managed to tear myself away from my usual choices: Tom yum soup with shrimp , Pad Thai with pork, and bean thread salad. Instead I had a chicken with ginger stir fry heated to a 1 pepper level. It was flavorful and spicy. Lots of snow peas and tender chicken. Our server warned us the restaurant was running a little slower. Fine with me; I had more time to catch up with my friend. I’ve been a fan for years.

i always come to this location at night time for dinner and order my good to go. its usually always the older lady or the younger lady placing my order… the younger lady is always nice, sweet and pleasant to me. the older lady is always pushy, rude and never let me get my order out before interrupting me. every single time she is like this, so this isn't me picking on her… every-time i pay for my food she says “ok go sit down over there and it will be out shortly. the younger lady is always so nicer and asks me “would you mind having a seat over there until your food is ready”? major difference. i just thought she was just a grumpy old lady until i noticed her making small talk and laughing and smiling with the customer that just placed his to go order behind me. she told him to have a good day and everything. than i noticed they were of the same ethnicity. it all makes sense now… my money still spends the same as his but whatever

food is always good though and actually you get alot for what you pay for… i just wish i can always get the younger lady to take my order… i understand elder people being stuck in their ways but nevertheless, this is either blatant racism or awful customer service by this older lady… i’ll let yall decide

My family and I dined in this past Sunday around 1pm. They have signs posted about the lunch menu running until 4pm. We ordered from the waitress clearly from the lunch menu. Ultimately I was charged dinner prices for our orders including a $6 kid meal that was marked up to $9.50 on the check. The total bill was at least $25 over what I had expected to pay. I don't mind paying dinner prices but you can't bait and switch like this it's not right. They refused to honor the menu price for lunch, during lunch hours, and the waitress lied saying she told me we were ordering dinner prices which absolutely did not happen. There are plenty of other Thai restaurants we will be trying in the future.

Very good reviews about food but would not know because when we pulled up at 8:15 pm they were already closed. Hours of operation say 12pm - 9pm on website on the door. I walk up with my brother and staff is sitting down eating, we can’t get in because they are closed. Could not even come to the door and even explain… If you close at 8 update your website and your front door with the proper hours of operation.

I've been coming here for years but it's a bit unpredictable. Sometimes the food is entirely different and not for the better. If you try to customize your order, I think that causes a real slow down and different flavor as well. Service is friendly but can be slow. There are a lot of vegan options.

I entered this establishment today and I spoke said good evening to the woman that was a waitress; really to any and everyone but a waitress she rolled her eyes at me did not say anything in return. So since I got tired of standing, I took a menu that is hanging by the door; and so I decided to sit at the booth. I have been here before and honestly did not think anything of it. Because I was said to myself maybe they are short staffed. But as I waited again at the booth; no one came to take my order nothing but kept eye contact with me as if they were going to come and service me. As soon as a young woman entered and waited like I did the same woman that rolled her eyes said hi to the young woman and proceeded to take her to her seat and take her order. I left. That was very disgusting. Distasteful. I will not be returning. I do not choose spend my hard earned money with unprofessional people. And to know that they are Thai based as well as their ethnicity; makes me feel a certain type of way because that it is not the way of life for “Buddha”. Treat people how you would want to be treated. They have no integrity at this restaurant. Don’t spend your money here. No one needs or deserve to be treated in a disrespectful/unfair manner.

will never come back here again, so rude we looked at the restaurant hours on a monday and it said they close at 10, we walk up to the door at 9:15pm. and someone just shuts the door and locks it right in front of our face. so rude they could’ve at least opened the door and told us they weren’t serving.

Drove over 30 minutes to this location and called an hour before closing with no answer. When I arrived, the doors were locked. I called again because they still had a lot of workers inside. Still no response. Finally a worker came to the door to tell me they were closed even though they close at 10. When I asked her what time they close she told me basically whenever they want depending on if it’s busy or not. They could’ve at least picked up the phone and said they were closing over and hour early because they felt like it. Horrible experience and they should make sure they let everyone know they choose their hours depending on how they feel.

Don’t get me wrong, the food is great, always has been. My husband has been coming here since he was a child, so we’ve always ordered from here when we’ve wanted Thia food. But lately I’ve called to place a to go order, and they’ll put me on hold for 20+ minutes before being able to talk to anyone. And then tonight I called to place a to go order and at 7pm she told me to call back in an hour… I asked if I could just place the order and come in an hour and she said no. So since I was right by the restaurant I just decided to go in to place the order… we’ll when I went in I expected them to be super busy seeing as how she wouldn’t take my to go order over the phone.. there was max 4 tables with people.. I asked a lady if I could place an order to go and she said yes, than the phone rang and they took another to go order over the phone before helping me… when I had just previously called 5 minutes prior and was told to call back in an hour! Why was I told no and to call back in an hour, but she was able to answer this call and take there order 5 minutes later? After the reoccurring issues it’s unfortunate that we will be find a different Thia restaurant to order from here on out.

I went here with my friend back in 2008. I’m positive this is the place, based on what I remember from the decor. We both had the drunken noodles and could not stop eating them even as our eyes watered, and we are from the land of Buffalo wings so we are generally fine with a nice amount of spice.

I have been trying to find Pad Kee Mao that is the same as what we had here for YEARS and I’ve concluded that my only option is to find an excuse to come back to Virginia Beach. I can’t speak to authenticity, I just know that what we ate was really really good.

Absolutely amazing. I had Laab Gai for the first time many years ago overseas, and this is the first time I've seen it since. Definitely worth it, especially because they give you so much that you have leftovers for the next day and it's every bit as good the second go round. Phenomenal!
