Sat on the patio, enjoyed the views, the weather, wonderful service.
The food was outstanding.

Diner Review №2

Wow....just wow...first time visitors....the popcorn for the first timers does have some kick.

Diner Review №3

My wife and I just went here for the first time to have dinner for Valentine's Day. We didn't have a wait because I made reservations online. I was very pleased with the array of gluten-free selections. The starter popcorn definitely has a kick to it- I liked it but it was a bit much for my wife. I got the gochujang chicken tacos and firecracker chicken fried rice which were both super good. It is hard to find gluten-free crispy chicken, let alone something so flavorful. The cocktails were made fresh, and happy hour (at least during the week) lasts until 7pm. The portions were enough to have leftovers the next night. We will definitely be back here again soon!

Diner Review №4

We made a reservation for four for a special Valentine’s Day dinner. We were ushered to our table right by the door. We pleaded for a different table and were told we didn’t specify a certain table when we made the reservation so we were stuck with the worst table in the restaurant. Every time the door opened, we were blasted with cold air. We retrieved a blanket from our car so we could feel some warmth huddled under the blanket. NOT impressed with them at all!!!! Be fair warned!!

Diner Review №5

The place was a little loud when we first walked in arriving at the tailend of happy hour. Our server was wonderful, loved the eclectic menu, not your typical Asian food. The ahi tuna and dumplings were very good, the pork lo mein exceptional, miso sea bass was a little small portion wise but cooked perfectly The service was good but too quick wanting to clear dishes before we were actually finished with them. I would definitely come back and try some other dishes,

Diner Review №6

Ordered on doordash and got complete wrong order, food was 40 minutes late and was cold temp

Diner Review №7

I’m not sure what happened to this place. I used to love their food. Take-out was a pathetic experience. We ordered two meals for take-out and they quoted us 40 minutes. Totally acceptable for a smaller busy restaurant. We arrived approximately 5 minutes after the quoted time. After lots of button pushing… a couple conversations with the kitchen she said the ticket never printed out in the back of the house. Okay cool, things happen. She said it would be 20 additional minutes. I told her we would be waiting in the car and asked her to bring it out when it’s ready. After another 30 minutes, I went in to check on the order. She went and talked to the kitchen and then huddled with management for a while. She came back and told me that only one order was complete. I was blown away. I asked her for my money back. After huddling with management (in the front of house) for another 5 minutes the manager came up with my voided receipt and didn’t say a word and walked away. I said to the hostess before I left “let me guess, nothing was ever started for our order…” She confirmed. I’ll never go back. Shame because we used to go here all the time. I’d share photos of my food but, we never got any.

Diner Review №8

We have been here a many times prior to this experience the evening of 1/24/25. We consider it a special treat to go here. It is our dinning place for our family to celebrate bigger events. We have been coming here for at least 4 years. Last night was disappointing 😔.

Let's talk about the food first. It was just OK. Not at the same level as other times we have been here. We always have the Calamari and it was just OK. It was a bit overcooked and the portion seemed smaller and breading seemed heavier than all our prior visits. The Combo fried rice was also disappointing, and we order this every time we are here. It was more like white rice that they put soy sauce on last minute and topped with a little bit of meat. There was not one egg. Scant, and I mean SCANT, slivers of carrots and a few green onion pieces. It was salty but otherwise flavorless. We ordered the Spicy chicken, and there was minimal spice and it was ordered with fried rice but we received white rice instead. We tried the chicken and rice soup for the first time and the flavors was good, we liked it but it was cool temperature wise, I like my soup served hot. Also we felt it needed more rice. We also had The Baller, another item we Always order. It was ordered as my daughter's entree for her 13 th Birthday Dinner. We came on her birthday, her choice because of the calamari and this sushi roll. It was served almost 5 minutes after our other hot entrees from the kitchen. This made no sense, since we had appetizers, so there was plenty of time to make it.

Atmosphere - the booth we sat in by the far wall, not far from the kitchen was uncomfortable. It was tight, and we are Not big people. The cushion was not supportive at all. The music ended several times for periods of time.

Service - We had never had Erica as a server. She was nice but unfortunately slow and not accurate. We waited almost 20 minutes to order our food. She put the drinks down at the wrong people despite saying what she was putting down was correct, it was infact the opposite once each person took a sip. She also entered pot stickers instead of calamari and when pot stickers came out they had to find her and she did not take ownership of this error, tried to play it off as a expediter error. How do we know? She gave us a bill with both the pot stickers and the calamari on it. She did not catch this and when we asked for it to be removed her reply was, they were supposed to take that off. It would have been better for her to check the bill before presenting it. Had we not checked it we would have ended up paying for something we did not order and did not receive.

One other aside, at another table a man's coat had fallen off his chair and the servers walked by it over and over again, as it was close to the kitchen, and did not tell the man or pick it up. I went over after a bit and let him know and picked it up.

We did not see a manager the whole time we were there. Usually this has NOT been our experience. We did not make a fuss as our daughter asked us not to. We enjoyed our special time together for her birthday but definitely were disappointed ☹️ 😞.

I went with friends after the Barrett Jackson car show. It was my first time there. Had the seared ahi tuna appetizer. My friend had lettuce wraps. Really good food and service. We went back a few days later. Highly recommended.

Diner Review №10

Just too busy. Staff overwhelmed.

Diner Review №12

Menu had tons of interesting choices. Orange peel chicken, gyoza, and general Ling’s chicken were awesome. Long life soup was huge for only $5 and gyoza were delicious.

Very friendly, attentive service. I look forward to trying the miso glazed salmon whenever I’m next in Phoenix

Diner Review №13

I absolutely love Ling & Louie's. They do a great job with allergies and gluten-free. And strangely, they have a meatloaf that is fantastic. We go often and love the food and service.

Diner Review №14

Love the Mongolian beef and the crab puff wantons.

Diner Review №15

We enjoyed this place so much we went back again before we left town. Symphony & Abby were both great and very attentive.
The kids bento boxes are so good for the kids and a great price.
On both visits, all or food was excellent. Next time we are in town, we will definitely be back.

Diner Review №16

The staff was very helpful with making sure my food allergy was noted to the kitchen, and they helped with ordering, so I would not have any problems. The food was really good.

Diner Review №17

Sorry to say but what happened to this place? We were kept waiting to be seated (had a reservation) while the hostess took a food order and kept running into the kitchen with questions and telling us the computer was "acting up". We were finally seated in a booth with some of the last customer's sauce all over the seat! Our server said it was his 4th day. Trying to be patient, we repeated our order several times and waited...Our appetizer never came and although dinner FINALLY did, the walnuts were burned in the walnut shrimp. We took it to go and tossed in the garbage. So sorry to see one of our favorite places go downhill like this.

Everything is fantastic including the service. The only issue is everything they make has a hint of spice which a member of our party is very sensitive to. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate her.

Diner Review №24

Excellent food and great service!

Diner Review №25

The most amazing Chinese food I have ever had. The crab puffs are very addictive.

Diner Review №28

I visited Ling & Louie’s a few weeks ago. The restaurant had nice decor; however, the hostile staff overshadowed the experience altogether. It almost became comical how rude the waitress was inadvertently also happened to be the hostess. The was bland. I understand the concept of fusion however they took it to a new level not in a good way. I think if you’re stopping in for a quick bar food, it’s fine but I definitely would not recommend them for dinner. It was also pretty pricey for what we got.

Diner Review №29

Update, just a heads up, Larry is also a great waiter!!!

Wow... just wow!!! This was our first time here, and our waitress, Symphony, was wonderful!! She was so friendly, funny and great! I had the Beef Kung Pow, and my daughter had the General Ling's Chicken... both were terrific!! We also shared the Chicken Lettuce Wraps to start with, and they were wonderful! We plan to return next weekend!!! Everyone should give them a try !

This is my first time visiting this restaurant in it was definitely really good. The service was phenomenal. My waitress smiled and gave us a good service all day of us being there. They have a bar, TVs, inside and outside for drinking and eating. The bathrooms were clean, and I definitely felt at home being there. Thank you so much. If you are in the area, come check it out.

Diner Review №52

Dined in on a whim based of 4 star rating.

Came in on a Monday afternoon.

Signature cocktails are exceedingly sweet. Their "repesado Manhattan " is overly sweetened and heavily masked the spirit of choice. The "secret garden" (gin, sparkling wine, and some quantity of pineapple and kiwi) tastes like a generic green energy drink and perhaps a whisper of gin.

The Korean fried chicken sandwich is decent. Marked as spicy, more like tangy.

Mongolian beef is also surprisingly sweet. It honestly reminded me of something from panda express in general taste.

Overall it's fine, but I couldn't see myself craving it at any point and I wouldn't go there for drinks intentionally ever.

The service was good, and decently quick so thats nice.

Prices for the quality are a bit high. $80 before tip for food I could get at a fast food spot, even with drinks is a bit high, but I'll pass that off as the economy being expensive at this time.

Ordered take out and they didn't get my order. The staff were quick to remedy the situation and were super apologetic. I sat down at the bar and caught the tail end of happy hour. Friendly bartender, and the food was worth the wait. Will definitely be back.

Diner Review №59

Service was not great; we weren’t checked on often and were not asked if we wanted another drink. Had we been asked we would have had another round

Diner Review №60

I always sit at the bar, and for a couple of good reasons. First, they have a great little bar, most especially when the weather is nice and they open it up to the outside patio. Next up is the fantastic bar staff, Walker for sure, but all of them are great. Lastly I like to shoot right down and be able to put in my food and drink order in right away. Three food is thoughtfully fantastic, and HHour is a great little deal as well. And I almost forgot the wonderful craft cocktails, Smoky being among my solid favourites!

Diner Review №61

Great food, bloody Mary, and service

Diner Review №62

Great for allergies, and very friendly service

Diner Review №63

It took a while for our entire party to show up. While we were waiting, the staff was very attentive. When we finally ordered our food family style, every dish was unique and true to its roots. Chinese food is the first food I branched out to moving out of Montana. This place has some good Chinese (and Korean and . . . ) food.

Diner Review №64

Love it! Kevin did a great job! Very good food, and a very enjoyable time. I Will definitely be back.

Diner Review №65

It was our first time here and we came for restaurant week. I had reviewed the menu beforehand and it looked like a fun place. We made a reservation ahead of time. Our server, Brandon was very helpful and we took all of his recommendations. We ordered fried calamari, General Ling’s chicken, and the walnut shrimp. It was absolutely delicious! The portions were fair and we brought home leftovers. For dessert we ordered the banana spring roll and we were very happy with it.

Sam, the manager was a great host and came over to our table and spoke with us. Overall, the service was 10/10. We plan to come back and try some of the Mexican fusion food next time!

Diner Review №66

This place is great for special occasions and sharing food. We had so much I really loved, the cakes was great, the icecream was great. Loved the starters we had, and the waitstaff was wonderful. Highly recommend!

Diner Review №77

Tried the sushi and grilled cheese. The sushi was good. The grill cheese arrived, & over done on one side and was set on the plate with that side down to hide it, but as soon as I took a bite I tasted burnt. The waiter was excellent and took it back to bring another sushi roll.

Diner Review №78

Found just looking for restaurants near where we already were, definitely not a disappointment. Sat in the outside patio area, food was awesome specially the calamari.

Diner Review №79

Legit shout out to Sam the manager. Being pregnant and wanting specific foods when you ABSOLUTELY need them, can be tricky. I called to make substitutions and he was really freaking cool. Made sure I got EXACTLY what I was craving. Thanks man. Uncle Fu's fried rice with extra beef and extra sauce AMAZING. Thank you for making this big fat girl happy! 🫶🏼

First time at L&L and big props to Bobby G. for the most amazing professional service to our group. From the miso sea bass to the sliders, kung pao, and lettuce cups, this plate really has it all in the Asian fusion department, with fresh spicy flavorful well prepared food that was delicious. Came 30 minutes before closing for a big meal and got seated right away and treated like kings by Bobby, Sam and the great kitchen staff. Diner Review №98

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ling & Louie's, and I must say it was a gastronomic journey that left me thoroughly impressed. The star attractions of my meal were the Spicy Jeweled Beef and Beef Kung Pao, both of which were not only bursting with flavor but also generously portioned.

The Spicy Jeweled Beef was a delightful symphony of flavors. Each bite was a perfect balance of spiciness, sweetness, and a hint of savory goodness. The beef was cooked to perfection – tender and succulent, while the medley of colorful vegetables added a visual and flavorful treat to the dish. The combination of spices used in the marinade created a memorable taste that lingered on my palate, making each mouthful a delightful experience.

Equally impressive was the Beef Kung Pao, a dish that showcased the artistry of Ling & Louie's culinary team. The tender chunks of beef were complemented by a rich and complex Kung Pao sauce, featuring the perfect blend of soy, vinegar, and just the right amount of heat. The inclusion of crunchy peanuts and crisp vegetables added both texture and depth to the dish, elevating it to a truly satisfying culinary experience.

What stood out beyond the delectable flavors was the portion size. Ling & Louie's did not skimp on generosity. The servings of both the Spicy Jeweled Beef and Beef Kung Pao were ample, ensuring that I not only enjoyed the taste but also left the restaurant feeling completely satisfied.

The ambiance of Ling & Louie's was another highlight of my dining experience. The warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with attentive service, enhanced the overall enjoyment of the meal.

In conclusion, my visit to Ling & Louie's was a culinary delight, with the Spicy Jeweled Beef and Beef Kung Pao stealing the spotlight. If you're looking for a restaurant that delivers on both flavour and portion size, Ling & Louie's is a must-visit. I wholeheartedly recommend trying these dishes for an unforgettable dining experience that tantalizes the taste buds and leaves you craving for more.

Food was of ok flavor, but all was served luke warm. The chicken rice soup, and mongolian beef were both lune warm and u was one of only a handful if guests in the entire restaurant around 8;30pm. Should have been a clue. I was hungry so i ate it. Server came by when i was almost done. When i told him, he took $3 off the bill. I woukd have rather had hot food. When the sushi came , i was concerned if food not hot, sushi probably not kept cold. Sushi was ok not flavorful anddid not finish it, overall was poor sushi presentation. My recommendation go elsewhere

Stopped into Ling & Louie's for the first time last evening. Hmm... Nice quiet atmosphere with a Buddha-influenced décor. Sat at the bar and enjoyed a reasonably priced 12-year Scotch served by a curt and conceited bartendress with the personality of an olive. Ordered the Chicken Lettuce Wraps. They were quite good. Similar to PF Chang's but minus the chewy chicken bits. Finished my drink quickly and left my meal half-eaten to escape the cause of my suffering... the awful bartendress.

Fun place to eat on Thanksgiving eve, our family tradition. We are new in the area, do it was nice to find a fun Chinese place with really good food!! Highly recommend.

Diner Review №131

The restaurant looked like it was dressed by a Michelin-star interior designer who moonlights as a stand-up comic. The food? Pretty solid. We ordered orange chicken that was so eager, it practically flew to our table. Meanwhile, the Tropics roll took a leisurely stroll, arriving fashionably late like it was making a grand entrance at a sushi red carpet event. The manager popped by, offering apologies and a freebie for the sushi's diva-like tardiness. Apparently, their two kitchens – one for sushi, one for grill – seem to be in a long-distance relationship and need to work on their communication skills. Maybe a couples' therapy session for kitchens is in order?

Diner Review №132

I had the Chicken lettuce wraps, which were very good, and also the shishito peppers which were amazing, so much delicious sauce to soak into the peppers.

Diner Review №133

Feels too soon to post as I have only been there once and tried two items on the menu, but at least I anticipate going back.

I had the lettuce wraps and the hangover fried rice. I thought both items were very good. Portion size on the fried rice was quite large, I didn't even finish.

Again, very good. I'd like to go back and try some different entrées to see if there is something I would rate at 5 stars.

Diner Review №148

I bet it’s great on the weekends but Monday night just get like the leftover sushi and 4th string chefs were present. The appetizer tower was really good but I don’t think we had a single roll that was broken before we picked it up and they all tasted overly-vinegary like. My wife complained of stomach issues today… there were a bunch of fruit flies at the table, but the waitress, symphony was really great and attentive and the decor was nice, just the sushi really needed work and they were out of shrimp tempura as well…

Diner Review №149

Went last night (Monday) and it was okay.

Pros: atmosphere, server (Symphony) was attentive and great, tower appetizer was good.

Cons: both sushi rolls were pretty subpar and falling apart on the plate (rainbow roll had vinegar taste to it and tropical roll was decent), menus were dirty and had to request clean ones, gnats were bothering us inside at the end of the meal, stomach aches afterwards and today (mild food poisoning), which led us to believe the 3rd string cook just used the fish from this past weekend.

I get that it was a Monday night but for a first impression, not great besides the service.

I can’t possibly recommend this restaurant enough. My grandma and I were dining in to celebrate my 24th bday when she suddenly suffered a medical emergency. The staff at Ling and Louie’s helped me call 9-1-1 and were so unbelievably kind during this scary time. The manager (I think his name is Bobby) even gave us a $100 gift card and asked us to come back when grandma was better. Omg so damn good. I had to come write a review because it was amazing when we had it in the restaurant but we just ordered through Doordarsh and sometimes when you get it to go it's not as good. But oh my god it was fantastic the flavor was still there and perfect 🥰 little pricey but definitely worth it every single time.

Had one of the best experiences I’ve had at a restaurant in a while, thanks to the waiter. Walker was sharp, welcoming and had a great attitude.

Diner Review №173

Scrumptious lettuce cups and NEW stir fried cauliflower rice! Sweet Happy Hour too. Great server named Symphony.

I love this place. The boys get together every other month or so and this time I picked LL's. Never a single complaint. I had the Surf and Turf and the flavors were magnificent. See you again soon.

Diner Review №175

Loved our food and service from Symphony.

Food was amazing. Lindsay recommended the jeweled beef and will get it again. The crab wontons were better than any other I have had.

Gluten Free Asian food! And a huge selection at that! So amazing!! I have never seen anything like this menu! Thank you Ling & Louie's for making the switch to gluten free, for the most part. I have Celiac disease and eating out is SOOOOOO scary. It wasn't scary here AT ALL. I wish more restaurants made little switches like gluten free soy sauce. Easy switch and so amazing for people who can't eat gluten. And for the people who can eat gluten, they can't even really tell the difference! I will be back frequently! So thankful I found this gem. Just wish there was one in Phoenix too!

Update: Still amazing. I go several times a month. Love it! Amazing staff too!

Had dinner for a special occasion with my hubby. Ordered Jeweled beef the jeweled beef (was marked as spicy) and my husband ordered the orange peel with chicken we ordered lettuce wrap as an appetizer. Lettuce wrap was great, the jeweled beef came it had no spicy I asked our waitress about the dish and it was indicated that it was spicy. I told her it was missing the spice. The waitress replied that they had ran out of the spices, ok why did she not mention this prior to my plate being served. So, I could ordered something else. During our conversation my husband was hoping that the waitress would notice him pounding on the so called chicken that was hard as a rock, no she did not notice and continued to the next guest. We asked her back to share with her that the orange peel chicken was mostly batter gave her the plate with 4 large pieces with nothing but batter. To my surprise when she handed my bill there was a full bill no discount given. This will be my last experience there.

I ordered the spicy jeweled beef. It was good, but extremely salty! It really overpowered the dish

I love having a GF Asian restaurant I can count on. The food is great, wonderful presentation. They can substitute tofu for meat and are even willing to make vegetarian sushi off menu. DO, expect to wait for service. I consider this place a "conversation restaurant" (good things come to those who wait). I would not advise coming here if you're on a time crunch, we waited about 20-30 mins before being acknowledged, werent even served drinks. I even asked if a server was designated to our table and waited another 10 mins before getting water.. I'll definitely return because options are slim for a gf vegan diner and my GF carnivore family love their options.

My family loves Ling and Louie’s not only for the delicious food but the staff is always very friendly and timely! The Ling’s ginger lime margarita is my favorite specialty drink. The kung pao edamame is a real treat

This was my first time there and the other four members of our party had been previously. I have to agree with them that the food was excellent as was the entire experience. I'll definitely be going back!

Diner Review №196

The staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent. I plan on going back sometime.

Diner Review №197

Service not the best. My honey walnut shrimp was delicious but the rest of my party weren't as pleased.

Decided to try here after another restaurants wait was too long. Symphony was a great server and pointed out her favorites. We decided to try a few of their cocktails which were all amazing. Instead of ordering entrees we ordered 5 different shareables. They were all well cooked, presented and tasted delicious! I was thrilled the other restaurant didn’t work out so that we ended up here. Would highly recommend. The price to good portion was on point.

One of my favorite restaurants in Scottsdale. Very good food. Excellent service. Exceptional management.

The patio and bar area are the best spots to sit. Friendly service and good happy hour with Japanese Whiskey. Vegetarian options are available and they will also substitute tofu in place of animal protein.
