THE most delicious and beautifully plated to-go order I've ever received in this city. Delivery time itself was pretty average, but when I opened the bag I couldn't believe the presentation! Fresh ingredients and great developed flavor. Also the fresh rolls are massive! Highly recommend this spot for both dine-in and at-home.

Stopped here because the 7-11 claimed they didn't have a bathroom. The mussaman curry? I've had far better tasting. This was watered down. The containers & rice weren't filled to the top; they needed smaller. I've spent less for the same order in NYC. I am SO disappointed~ Live & learn. 😞

The service was extremely poor, and the food was unsatisfactory. When we tried to get it replaced, they ignored us.

I don't recommend this. For the first time in my life I faced with the fact that it is so terrible to treat a client. We ordered our favorite Tom Yum soup. The soup was brought with a very unpleasant smell and was impossible to eat. it was terrible. when we called the employee he said that's how it should be. They refused to replace the dish with another one. They did not apologize and refused to take the check. If you don’t want to spoil your mood and spend money on food that you can’t eat, avoid this restaurant.

Worst experience with a Thai restaurant, the tom yum stank, the cream in it was curdled into flakes. but worst of all, the manager did not remove it from our check as we asked and did not exchange it for another dish. Would not recommend to visit

This place has awful service. We ordered a soup and it wasn’t looking as it supposed be, and second it smelled super bad. We kindly asked for submission but got denied and never got any apologies and money back. Cleanness of this place is also one star. DO NOT RECOMMEND

The wontons we ordered came empty, almost like crackers. And we ordered pad thai which i usually love from other locations, but the one from this location smelled rancid to the point where i couldn’t bring myself to eat it. They refused to refund or even exchange the meal for something else

Hello, when me and my friend got there it was so cute and we found it to be a little hidden gem, the food looked delicious but the service was WHACK! My friend politely asked for a change of meal due to the smell and she say “no we don't do that here” and the we asked about a refund… “no we don’t do that either”. This is ridiculous. My friend was willing to pay the same amount for a better dish, but the employee (probably apart of ownership) denied it and made a customer pay for something she did not even like. Either get this place together or hire new management. Again cute place but service was not up to par.

No refund, no redo, nothing. beyond disappointing. wouldn’t recommend coming here, i visited a while back and the food looked presentable but was distasteful and had a rustic, scary smell. the filled meat was not even filled.

I don't know if I have a 'favorite' thai place but I've been here maybe 6 times now and this is certainly near the top. Off street parking around back is a big plus. I got a honeydew/banana bubble tea, was worth the extra money!

Typical Thai cuisine. Great food, menu has a lot of traditional Thai dishes. Thai ice tea is awesome. It is in a great location, trendy crowd here, also close to VCU campus. Kinda best Thai place to go if you are visiting Richmond.

I called in my order for chicken pho with chicken broth and a spicy eggplant. She told me that they only had veggie broth or beef broth. I told her the veggie would be fine but that I’m allergic to beef. I said it multiple times as when I ate there in person ordering the same thing, the waitress triple checked they didn’t give me beef broth. I got home. Ready to eat and dumped the broth in and there was brown stuff in the bottom….they gave me vegetable pho in BEEF broth. I immediately took medication. But they were closed when I tried to call. I’ll try in the morning. I have never had a bad experience there and I love the rest of their menu. I only have had pho ever the last time I went so it’s unfortunate. I probably will order that elsewhere

I've been going for years, and I'm gonna keep going. Everything on the menu is great. The food comes out quickly, and the staff is polite. I took my boyfriend there. Now we're married. Our favorites are the pho and the drunken noodles.

What happened Nisa Thai?? This placed used to be our go to. The last two times we went were super disappointed by the quality of food and overall bland taste. Will not be ordering from nisa thai again.

Stopped into Nisa before a show over at the Altria Theater back in December. There were a few other people there, and I assume this place is frequented by college students most often.

The server was doing hostess duty plus serving and seemed to be pulled in too many directions at once. It took her a minute to come over to greet us and get our order because the phone kept ringing, and she prioritized answering it over dealing with the customers in person.

The bubble tea that we got was fine. The boba was a little different than what I'm used to. The papaya salad that I got was extremely spicy. I was not asked what spice level I wanted, so I'm not sure if that was how that type of papaya salad was supposed to be prepared? It was spicy, but I was able to eat it, and we unfortunately didn't have time to wait for her to come over/check on us and ask for a replacement, so I just drank a bunch of water to quell the spice.

When we went to pay the bill, we quickly asked what the difference was between the two papaya salads on the menu was (one is in the meals, one is in the appetizers, I got the one in the meals section). The server either did not seem to know too much about the dish itself, or she just didn't know how to explain it, and just told us it was where the dish originated and that's what the difference was.

I usually get delivery here and the taste has been impeccable and consistent. While portions aren’t huge for the price, the balance of flavors make up for it. My roommate does not recommend the pho, though.

I ordered mixed vegetables and asked for no carrots. Although there are MANY vegetables that this restaurant has in various dishes, I was given a dish with onions and cabbage for $14. I never plan to come here again. The food quality was less desirable.

Maasaman curry was very watery and not a lot of flavor. Light on protein as well. Disappointing it’s usually one of my favorites. Ordered seafood soup not spicy. It was way too spicy and didn’t eat. Was charged for it at the end too. That surprised me as it clearly wasn’t eaten. Maybe a mistake? 🤷
If you enjoy sake, steer clear of theirs. I should have questioned it while ordering. It was the only saki available no namebrand listed. And it tasted like it could take the enamel off my teeth.
The crispy rolls were delicious.
If the meals were inexpensive, then I understand why. For 2 dinner plates and sake it was $50 before tip. 3 stars because the person who served us was very nice.

Cozy restaurant with a twist of many different food options. If you drive in and don't pay close attention to the sign, you might miss that they have parking BEHIND the building. I believe it's free. Don't park at the 7 eleven or you will be towed! In my opinion they have THE BEST wonton soup!

Boba tea is light and not too sweet. Fried duck dish is yummy.

Never had any satisfaction after eating in this restaurant. The price is high compared to the quality and amount of the foods. The nearby two Thai restaurants (Thai top ten and crazy thai) are much much better than this place. Small sitting area. The waitress rudely asked me to sit in the last row when all the seats of front rows are empty and not reserved. When I was about to sit on the front rows the waitress rudely asked me to sit in last row. Not sure there AC was working.Then after some times she said another customer ‘you can sit wherever you want’.I really did not understand that. The extra charge for chicken was just ripping you off because there are hardly any chickens there. No varieties of vegetables when ordered for salads.

This is the Thai food I couldn't find for a decade before I moved to Richmond. Other Thai restaurants here may be fancier or have better plating, but this place is what keeps pulling me back. It's the messy, oily, spicy, and absolutely delicious type of authentic Thai food that leaves you both satisfied and wanting more only a couple days later.

A small, a hole in the wall space made into a comforting area that almost feels like a karaoke bar.

The food was great and the service was prompt and helpful. The drunken noodle was actually Thai spicy (though you can order it milder) and they brought out my Thai iced coffee with the meal, which was perfect!

The sweet and sour chicken is not real chicken! It is not breaded. It is disgusting. My friend took 1 bite and couldn’t eat it was all slimy and was a thin sauce that tasted like boiled meat juice plain! Then they wouldn’t even let her exchange her food for a different item or a refund because their so money hungry SMH so much for a happy customer! We spent over $50 and the service was terrible!! Not to mention no mint leaves for the tea and they short the limes and jalapeños on the pho bowl!

Very small and the 1 waitress was rushing us. This was our 1st time eating out for Thai and we needed help with the menu. She stopped us from asking questions mid sentence to answer the phone. Meaning she left our table mid order to go to the front to answer the phone. I asked for my cooked tomatoes on the side...it was placed on the side but COLD and RAW! Who eats hot food with a cold side???? Parking was an issue. Had to find parking and walk. Will not be returning when there's many options with parking.

I have tried to give this place a chance several times and hit or miss doesn't begin to describe it unfortunately. The first time I had an entree and drunken noodles that were pretty close to stellar, but every time since then has become progressively worse. I don't mind food being a little on the bland or cheap tasting side...but I expect the price to reflect that. $65 for 2 flavorless appetizers, and 2 orders of insanely dry, flavorless lo mein noodles, which were only ordered because the last time I ordered the drunken noodles it was a globby, shapeless hunk of spice. The third appetizer was wonton soup that wasnt even close to filled all the way, and only contained 3 dumplings. I rarely if ever leave reviews, but considering how highly rated this place is it feels absolutely essential to warn of the inconsistency which, in my experience, is far more misses than hits.

One star has to be awarded on the basis of the wonton soup, the flavor is so good it shows that this place is absolutely capable of making quality food. A shame it's only in faint memories at this point

Ordered on grub hub the seafood pho and seafood drunken noodles Thai hot. First of all there was only one scallop inside my pho. Second of all the drunken noodles were definitely not Thai hot like I requested. Wasent much flavor in it either. It was not the worst I’ve ever had but needless say I was very disappointed. No chopsticks no fork absolutely nothing no napkins or anything. Seafood all tasted the same like it has been cooked in the same pot of boiling water all day long with no salt, seasoning, etc… definitely won’t be ordering her again.

The price has gone up. I ordered pho to go, for $15 I came back with 4 thin slices of meat, tiny portion of food. Very disappointed.

I love coming here! It has become a comfort place for me here in Richmond. On a rainy day I always trust that their Pho and mango sticky rice will soothe me.
Also their sweet tea is really sweet and I personally love it.

It is a nice place, the waitress was very nice and friendly. Food is mostly good (except for the rice), but there was exactly 5 tapioca beads in our bubble teas.

Trust me, get their Thai tea. Probably the most refreshing and delicious Thai Tea you’ll get for a very good price. I visited Nisa Thai a couple of times with friends before while hanging around Downtown and I always go for their drinks! My friend has tried many other flavors as well and loved all of them, and the Pad Thai is also very well made. Seasoned well, not too dry or wet, and a generous portion. I’ve also ordered various kinds of their soups (apologies, cannot remember specific names) and each one tasted amazing and always hit the spot! Their restaurant location can be a little awkward to navigate and they do have parking at the back of the shop, and it’s in walking distance from many other places. Interior is very sweet, appealing, and the owners and waitresses are all very accommodating and attentive. Service is almost always quick and efficient. Bring all your friends for some delicious Thai Cuisine!

They have great gluten free options, just ask, most dishes can be gluten free, but not all. They are also conveniently close to Altria theater for pre-show dinner.

Pad Thai with prawn or chicken is good and consistent. They were very good with accommodating my love for spice. My complaint arises from the Thai Green Curry. It was watery, overly sweetened, and had a lack of shrimp paste flavor.

Food was good. They do have limited Halal beef and chicken options on the menu, however anything we ordered from the menu they said it wasn't available in halal. We ended up ordering all vegetarian items for a party of seven.

Make sure you let them know that you want Halal meat. The staff is helpful.

Waited 10 minutes before someone came over to take order and to even bring water. Ordered food only wanted pho and a few appetizer that were fried. Waited 30 minutes no food. No one even came back to even acknowledge our long wait and ensure our food was being made. We were completely ignored. So were just got up and left. There was only 7 other people in restaurant when we entered but they were done dining. We were the only one to be served. Guess they cater to pickup orders.

I work locally and forgot my lunch so I ordered from grubhub from this restaurant and was very pleased. I love coconut based soups and ordered one with tofu and another with shrimp for tomorrow. I also got sticky rice. It was all very tasty. I will order again.

Abating experience! Sushi is no longer in their menu, but they have great Thai/Vietnamese/Asian cuisine. The ambiance is tranquil and really great staff. Not to mention they offer Halal meat substitutions! This was a great food find while we were down in Richmond for the weekend. Thanks Nisa Thai you guys are awesome!

Went here for lunch and the basil shrimp fried rice and the rice was over cooked and the manager was like they boil or steam the shrimp first then cook it in the rice so yeah it’s just like that. Like okay so sounds like you know what the problem is and you’re just cool and don’t want to give me my 3 dollars back For the 6 shrimp I got that were like rubber. I had to pick them out. And the waitress serving us was brand new she was nice but the manager was rude and stand offish.

very prompt delivery! had the faux-duck basil stir fry (think the duck was wheat gluten, i actually thought it was rather good as far as seitan goes) which was great, good amount of heat to it and it felt very substantial and fresh.

also got drunken noodles which were pretty good, i think the delivery made them not be as good as they would normally be because they got compressed in the package, which happens.

additionally, i got sticky rice and mango which, i don't want to talk up fruit too much but they gave me a really perfectly ripe mango, i loved it so much.

considering it's rather decently priced i think this place is great

We had the opportunity to have lunch at Nisa That Cuisine, and walked away happy.
The restaurant looks lovely, the atmosphere is relaxing, the service was excellent, and the food beat our expectations, not to mention the serving size was more than adequate. The two of us had dinners and Bubble Tea, and with tip it came to slightly more than $40. Well worth it.

I can't speak on eating in, but I have ordered delivery and it was PHENOMENAL. I ordered the Taro bubble tea and the Drunken Noodle Jar with tofu. The spice level was perfect, the vegetables were cooked just right, and the portion was satisfying. I can't wait to try different items on the menu!

Convenient to VCU, The Fan, and the expressway. Excellent food and super-friendly staff, although the wait for food is often a bit long. It's near my house, so I take friends here from out of town when they visit. Always a highlight of their trip!

Worst dining experience ever and the waitress/hostess was very rude and disrespectful. Told us leave her alone and give her a break because she's the only one working and don't give her attitude. When she walked past our table serval.time and didn't bother to ask if we needed anything or refill our cups when they were clearly empty. If I could give negative stars I certainly would. The food was bland. Not sure how you mess up bubble tea, but they did. I had chicken and shrimp pineapple rice. There were 4 shrimps and barely any chicken in the dish. Shrimp still had the tails on. No regard for covid placing her hands on our straws with no covers on them and then placing them on the bare table. The fried wontons didnt having in filling. They may as well be crispy chips. Absolutely disappointing.

Just ordered Nisa for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. We got their crispy rolls, mango rice, chicken pad see ew and shrimp fried rice. Delivery was quick and the delivery guy was super sweet. If you haven't checked them out, definitely give them a try! We will be back next time we're in Richmond.

Surprisingly Good! I already had japanese ramen at home so I only picked up an appetizer. The shrimp dumplings were minced but Chunky 🤗 They gave me 4 but in actuality 6 because 2 of them were doubled up. The sauce was perfect. Will try them out again

Highly recommend. Showed up right when the delivery estimation said, and on a Friday night no less. The food was hot and DELICIOUS. We got the two fresh rolls, Tom Yum soup, Slice Eye Round Pho and the Chicken Pad Thai. Everything was great and as advertised. I had been craving Pho for some time and was not disappointed. I liked how they cooked the Eye Round ahead of time so I didn't have to worry about making sure my broth was searing hot like one must usually do when getting Pho delivered. I have lived in Richmond for over two years and this was the best delivery process I've experienced thus far. Will definitely order from here again.

We found this place when the pandemic started and we order from them about every other week. We absolutely love everything about them, food is always top notch. We can't wait until everything calms down and we can go in and enjoy the restaurant experience.

My bf and I have been ordering takeout and delivery from Nisa Thai for almost 2 years now and that'll never change. We love ordering pho to go...their employees are so nice - esp their delivery guy. These guys are great.

Fresh, quick, great flavor. Numerous choices from seafood to vegetarian. Friendly staff. Ability to customize heat levels (and dishes are accurate to the heat level you specify). Reasonable price for the portions. Parking is available in the back if you turn right from Belvedere Street.

Portions are not only ridiculously small for the price you are paying but the quality of food is pitiful. I try not to be too hard on places but this is an absolute joke. Food was overcooked by a mile, order was incorrect, and price point was insulting for what you ultimately receive. Never again. I should have gotten Burger King.

Fresh food, awesome price, great service, unique taste from the typical. Try their green tea has a wonderful warming extra flavor! Tom yum chicken hot and sour soup was great!

Nice and cozy place. Tried dinner here. Food was tasty and spicy. Be sure to ask about spice level or request to make it less spicy if you are not used to it. Plus, less spicy tastes good as Thai cuisine has that sweet and spice combination. Also, there is lunch and dinner portion that you can ask for any menu item, any time of the day. Parking there is a problem. There's very limited space behind the block.

Not many people know this place or think to try it out. It is underrated for sure and not heard about at your regular family table. So please let me be the one to inform you that this place is awesome. The food is most certainly fresh and full of flavor. The portions are very considerable. I myself struggle to finish an entre in one sitting. The place is also small and has a comfortable setting not to much open space to make you feel like you're in an empty room even if you happen to be the only one there eating by chance. I definitely would reccomend this place to others looks for a nice quick and tasty meal. :)
