Our family had curry, fried rice, and a noodle dish, plus spring rolls and dessert. The average price per main meal was $15, however, everyone brought home half of their meals as the portions are huge. Everything was super delicious. We will definitely come back.

Came in with high hopes and was not disappointed. The dining area is modern and clean. There is plenty of space between tables and it felt quite comfortable. Service was good but noticed it got loud once a bunch of people got in so it made it hard to hear the server. Ordered drunken noodles and soup. Both were fantastic! Spice was on point. My only complaint is the sweet tea was extremely sweet and needed to be mixed with unsweetened to make it normal. If you enjoy Thai, check out this place. It is worth it. Note, there was a price increase on 12/1 so the menu online may not match the in house price.

I stopped in for lunch, I was greeted and seated right away. I had the wings as an appetizer, they were tasty and very hot to the touch which is always a plus for me. I've had them before, they are filling and the sauce is flavorful. I went with the noodle soul, with cabbage and added some beef. The soup was hot, had a great flavor to it and was plentiful. I didn't care much for the beef, it was a little chewy but I am really starting to be against eating a bunch of meat anyway, so it may just be me. Anyway, the price is right, the place is clean and the staff is welcoming! Definitely a repeat to explore more of the menu.

I just had super fresh sushi at this restaurant. I usually hesitate to get sushi from someplace that isn’t specifically a sushi restaurant but I had the Bento box and everything was fresh and delicious. The service was spot on. The bathroom was spotless. Great food, great atmosphere.

Fried prawns are not fresh

The Pad Thai doesn't taste fresh and we didn't finish it. The Boba tea was all watered down. Even with that...the service was really good and the mango sticky rice was really good.

My husband and I went here on Christmas Eve and were very pleased. The food was excellent and the service was great. We enjoyed ourselves. The server was very attentive and friendly. We appreciated them being open on Christmas Eve and appreciate how we were treated. We will definitely return. Thank you again for the excellent service and food.

I ordered the crab fried rice. It never disappoints.

Unfortunately, my visit here was fairly disappointing. I ordered one of my favorite dishes, pad see ew, and was let down when I saw they didn't use the correct noodles that make the dish unique. Otherwise, the food tasted fine.

Worse, I was never checked on for a refill until I flagged a waiter down for my check, and even then had to wait some time.

Hopefully this was just an off day, as I don't believe the rest of the reviews are lying.

Sushi should be whole pieces of fish not food processed. Cheep way to mask inferior fish. Sad part is no one would admit that is not sushi. Do not waste your money!

I have visited several locations (love them all) but this location is one of the best. The sushi is fresh and the staff is very nice. We visited during a busy lunch time on a Saturday and the staff was still attentive and apologized for the slight wait. I will be visiting again.

I ordered Tuna Avocado salad and something similar to pad Thai. Both of them are so sweet...Tuna avocado salad is a little bit weird, because tuna is really tuna, no mixed flavor of sauce or avocado. The thing similar to pad Thai, the menu says it is spicy, but it is so sweet...another thing the sushi medu I got first was not clean, with sticky rice on it. I would say I want to give a 3.5/5, but definitely not a 4/5...

I try to go here as much as I can while I am in Portsmouth. I live in Chesapeake. I just order Chicken Fried rice and 6 wings. My wings are old and nasty. I am going to return them tomorrow because I live too far and I broke my ankle so I can’t go back right now. Disappointed because they are so nice and the restaurant is clean. Customers check your items of you take out.

It IS Thai food, not a restaurant trying to imitate it. Ordering online is simple and staff inside upon pickup were friendly. Atmosphere inside seemed great and I would like to eat inside next time. I ordered food for two, there was enough food to feed three maybe four. Food was delicious. They have multiple levels of spiciness, so those who like spicy but not too much need not worry.

Amazing food, I tried their curry chicken perfectly seasoned and potions was lovely. Service was great friendly and comfortable. Will be back.

Fast, friendly service with plenty of seating. The food is always fresh and flavorful. I usually pick up, but dined-in today for lunch. The place is always very clean. I enjoyed the Bangkok Spring Rolls - crispy Thai style spring rolls filled with cabbage, carrots, and clear noodle. Choice of chicken or vegetarian. Served with sweet and sour sauce. The Pad Ka Na (Meat with Broccoli) with a choice of chicken, beef, pork, or shrimp (I chose BEEF) stir fried with broccoli and garlic in their special house sauce and the Kang Kheow Wan - choice of chicken, beef, pork, or shrimp green curry paste sautéed with Coconut milk, bell peppers, sweet peas, and sweet basil leaves.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

At first glance the prices seem reasonable. When you receive the bill a 20% service fee is added and they are still expecting a tip. The food was acceptable but not worth the added cost.

It's not on the menu that I saw but get the Crab Regun. Yum yum and yum. I enjoyed a meal of chicken and tiny corn. The rice was perfect. I enjoy this restaurant located on High Street across from the New Welcome Center. Go try this Thi food, it's delicious and it's parent place is located in Churchland.

This is my second visit to the Portsmouth location. The first time I chose take out and this time I chose to dine in. I appreciated the dine in experience comes with a small portion of lettuce with a forth of a slice of tomato (yes, extremely small) but very fresh drizzled with a little sweet ginger salad dressing accompanied by one lumpia and dipping sauce. I ordered and a soup both times. The pad Thai costs $2 extra for a meat combo and $3 extra for meat and shrimp. Eddie was a great server because he told me which was his favorite soup...Tom Yum Talay… very good! I thought the meal and soup were tasty but the portions are small. My order was $25 before the tip. I’d recommend the restaurant and plan to return.

I love Bangkok Garden! The waiters are always pleasant and prompt. The food is so flavorful, aromatic, and fresh (never too oily). Portion size is plentiful (I always have left overs) and the price is extremely affordable. I never have had a bad meal here. It's one of my favorite places to eat and I will continue to come back.

Went in for lunch today with a friend of mine and ordered spring rolls and 2 entrees. The spring rolls were ok and as expected, but both entrees were incorrect. My friend questioned his entrée, knowing what it should be as he is a frequent Thai diner, and was told by our server that he was incorrect and that we were served correctly. Soon after, I noticed my dish was also wrong. We finally flagged our server down after 2 tries and questioned the dishes, now with a menu in hand and she admitted they were incorrect and took the dishes from us. She mentioned that our proper dishes would be "awhile" which we agreed to, not having ate much after sitting an hour. After waiting another 20 minutes, we had to return to work and had to leave. Trust the 1 star reviews, I never review but felt it was necessary. The food may be acceptable but the service is the worst I've seen.

Although I was optimistic, I would not recommend this place. Everything was flavorless, but the sauces that came with the appetizers were good. The chicken and veggie dumplings definitely have pork in them! I got the #24 and the chicken was so dry with no seasonings. The #25 was also very bland and too sweet. Lastly, the sweet tea had a garlic taste, maybe they didn't clean the cups properly. My lovely husband still paid for the meal and left a tip.

You can never ever go wrong with Bangkok Noodle or Garden locations when you want Thai! Thai is my number 1 fave food, and I only partake from a Bangkok Garden location.

We order Penang Curry and Green Curry…. When we got home, we discover a long bug with many legs in our food. It looked like a baby centipede. When we called to make a complaint and asked for a refund, she told us to come in so she could see the bug. When we got to the restaurant, we waited for 30 mins until she came out. She came out with a terrible attitude. She looked at the food and said it wasn’t a bug. I asked her what it was then, and she didn’t have an answer for me. (She knew it was a bug)Finally, she said she would give us a refund. Customer service is terrible!

I called in an order of shrimp fried rice. Picked up the food and got home and realized it was crab fried rice. Went back to get a refund and they insisted on remaking the food with shrimp and it would be done in 2 minutes. Got home with the new order and the tails were still on the shrimp. Ended up just throwing the food away and going to Chick-fil-a. What a waste of $15.83. Why would I order shrimp fried rice and want to have to pick through the food to remove the tails before eating. Should have just gotten a refund.

I've eaten here three times and haven't been disappointed. I always get the dumplings (very flavorful and the sauce 👌) I've tried most of their appetizers, the lemongrass soup and fried rice. The servers are friendly and obviously the food is very good- especially when washed down with a Sapporo.

Nice quiet location in olde towne next to the Children's Museum. Interior decor is beautiful with a tuk tuk inside. I ordered the masaman curry. I can't handle Thai spicy so I ordered mild. It was delicious with just the right amount of heat. Mango sticky rice had a nice aroma of pandan. Don't forget to check out this place next time you're in Olde Towne.

I love the food at all the Bangkok Garden locations that I’ve been to. My spouse is Thai and introduced me to the Bangkok Garden restaurants. We get take-out from the new downtown location a few days every week since it opened. I’ve tried my favorite dishes here, like Yum Woon Sen, Tom Ka, Yen Ta Pho and Larb Gai, and they are always excellent. This location also has nicest decor and atmosphere of any Thai restaurant I’ve been to outside of Washington D.C.

Came here on Sunday night. Only our party of 5 where in the restaurant so I wasn't sure if the food would be good. Boy was I wrong. The soups were all piping hot, full bodied and so flavorful. We ordered the wonton soup, coconut soup and lemongrass soup. All excellent. The chicken wing appetizer was so crispy and came out steaming hot. All of our main dishes where excellent. Can't wait to go back. The decor was also warm and inviting. I highly recommend this place!

Great food and great place. I remember when this location was a different restaurant, they did an amazing job updating and remolding the location. The food is delicious. I have already been there multiple times and order lunch for our entire team earlier this week. Everyone loved their food and for two of them, it was their first time eating Thai. Highly recommended.

I got the food home and it did not even look appetizing. The meat was dried up, spring rolls were gummy...definitely not steamed. Overall, BADDDD! I was tired, did not feel like fighting. Threw it all in the trash. They need to take themselves out of business before they cause harm.
