A local gem in Dunedin with excellent sushi and Asian food. Prices are incredibly affordable with filling portion sizes. Service was pleasant and attentive. Food was nicely plated and full of flavor. We really appreciated how extensive the menu was too. We will definitely make this a regular spot!

Great experience ordering delivery online from their website. We got sushi, chicken with rice paper platter, and a couple other appetizers. Everything was delicious and way more food than we expected. We really enjoyed their take on the Philadelphia roll with beef in it. Delivery was perfect, on time, and courteous. Way better than ordering from a Delivery app. Highly recommend for a date night meal. We will definitely be in to check out the restaurant itself and more of their delicious food.

This restaurant is AMAZING! The ambiance is not what I originally expected from a smaller restaurant like this one that is located in a mini shopping center. They did a great job utilizing space, the decor is colorful and whimsical, and the cleanliness is extraordinary. I really enjoyed eating at Blue Sake. The place was clean and they did a good job on the decor. The service was good and was attentive. The seafood flambé tasted great and they used some big seafood shrimp and scallops and the chili sauce was flavorful. The Singapore noodle was well flavored with curry powder with the right amount of vegetables.

The menu had such a variety of food from Thai, Japanese, and Thai. I will be back to try some of the other Asian fusion dishes.

The Tom Yum soup contain fresh mushrooms and onions but they could do better with the flavor of the broth. The spider sushi was good but I don’t think this is a place I would come if I was in the mood for sushi.

The old waitress is very rude and always yelling and arguing with customer. She always angry all the time. I personally see her yelling with customer over the phone very loudly. Very bad customer service. The owner should take note.

Me and my family thought this place was a joke to us. Not coming back here. The waiter didn’t know what was on the menu and got our order wrong after us having to repeat it 3 times. Ordered Togo. 1 entree Thai hot and the other normal. Both came Thai hot. Both were basically just a box of rice with 4-5 single bites of chicken and 3-4 veggies. Called up and asked if they can make us what we ordered and what we gave them money for. She said to just ask ask for her next time we order and they’ll credit it back. Right. Like you’ll be there next time we call and remember us. Basically we’ll just never call again. Wouldn’t recommend.

I picked up a delivery at this restaurant yesterday. After visiting the toilet, I decided to treat my hands with an antiseptic that stood near the washbasin.. But as soon as I pressed it, a jet of antiseptic hit me right in the eye. Most likely, no one has used antiseptics for a long time and the holes from where it comes out have clogged, leaving only a small hole and therefore the departure of the jet has changed. I immediately felt a strong burning sensation and started rinsing with water. But as soon as I pressed it, a jet of antiseptic hit me right in the eye. I didn't expect this. Today I feel an unpleasant sensation in my eye and I'm going to visit the doctor. And most likely I will turn to a lawyer for advice.

It’s not a big name place to begin with, driven by it a ton never really considered it, but when we got a $15 coupon for my birthday month we thought “heck, let’s try it out”. We show the coupon ahead of time to make sure it’s valid, and the server says we have to buy a drink in order to use it. I looked at it back and forth and it doesn’t say that anywhere on the coupon, but whatever, we ordered a sweet tea. She comes back and says we actually have to order 2 drinks, or at least I’m pretty sure that’s what she said, there was a language barrier between us and our server. I asked to get clarification from a manager and the manager said it’s a mistake, it was supposed to say purchase of two drinks, so we need to buy two drinks. Obviously this is a bait and switch by a cheap owner who’s trying to guilt people into spending more money and nullify the coupon. I said that’s fine we’ll leave this is a scam and she said she’d “make an exception”. Whatever.

Food comes out all at once, again, whatever. Tried the “chicken fresh roll” and I kid you not, there was a SLIVER of chicken on this thing. It was comical. It was essentially a lettuce wrap. At this point it was funny.

The sushi was actually solid, but the crab Rangoon was just average.

Finally the bill comes and we give the coupon for $15 off an item and they chose the cheapest item. I asked if it could be one of the sushi rolls, not the $7 “fresh roll”, and they said no it doesn’t specify which entree we decide. Ha! Such a scummy run business that doesn’t want return clients. Deserves to fail like it currently is (place was empty). But the sushi was pretty good.

The food is AMAZING and the staff is so friendly! We got the drunken noodles and singapore fried rice. We only got mild spice levels, but definitely could’ve done medium. Their yum yum sauce might be the best i’ve ever had. Our bill was only $40 for two entrees and two alcoholic drinks. Such a local gem!

I ordered unagi, which was the main course of my dinner. It's in your life. I called the restaurant she told me the printer is not working in the sushi area so they didn't get the order. If you know your printer is not working in the sushi area wouldn't you call customers to make sure that you weren't skipping their order?

I really hate to do this because pretty much all of my reviews are positive BUT I want to save yall. I did a lot of research for a good place and the reviews here were so positive and there were tons of them. However, this was the worst sushi, soup, and food I’ve ever eaten. Sushi was not fresh. The soup had no flavor despite me adding an entire packet of soy sauce. The pad see you noodles with shrimp were so overcooked I could only surmise it was from lunch the day before. The noodles were so mushy they wouldn’t stay on the fork and the shrimp had been boiled to death I assume. Like I said I hate to do this but please don’t believe the rave reviews online. Total waste of money and I only ate half of the soup.

I’ve been to this place 3 times and I usually don’t leave reviews unless I’m very happy or very dissatisfied. The rolls and other dishes taste good for sure but the portions are actually pretty small for the price they charge. The over load the rice in their rolls so make sure to order with less rice.. also their sake is watered down and that technically stealing of you ask me. I pay for a sake, I want to drink sake. A bottle of sake is so cheap at the market too, why are you watering it down? And the service isn’t that good either but once they realize you’re upset they do pay more attention to your table.. but why does it take all that to get their attention? I won’t be returning here.

This place has gone down hill big time. They are omitting ingredients from their dishes. Won’t be going back. Another restaurant that is cutting corners while raising prices. 4 little pieces of chicken and zero vegetables that was described in their menu in their Pad Thai dish. Waist of money. Never again.

I got an uber eat order and had to call to make an adjustment to my order, they were extremely friendly and helpful and removed the nuts from my order since i'm allergic and the food was very good. Amazing customer service and food. Definitely recommend! x

I've tried sushi here a number of times, and every time I've been disappointed. It doesn't taste very fresh, im not sure if it's the fish, or the rice, or a combination, or I don't like their rice seasoning or what. I honestly don't think it's any better than publix sushi.

Ordered with Uber eats. Got Thai chicken fried rice because they had a bogo special. Yet portion size is so little. Not a deal at all. Frankly, disappointing. Don’t offer the deal if you are just splitting and normal size portion into two boxes.

Ordered through ubereats and got half portion meals, and the chicken fried rice should have just been called fried rice as there was very little chicken. Unacceptable and disappointing. I recommend not ordering from here.

Although I have lived in Dunedin for years, I only recently discovered Blue Sake. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Great lunch specials during the week. Nice ambiance and fast, friendly service. I’ll definitely be returning.

Overall, chose this place because it seemed to have good reviews. However walking in you’re greeted with weird smell. Then the company staff barely want to talk to you, or take your order. Had 2 appetizers one of which was clearly frozen “crispy spring rolls” and second being chicken gyoza which had a syrup like sauce. Left after that. Highly suggest going somewhere else.

The first few times I went I was very pleased. Then, not so much. I decided to give them a chance to redeem themselves before posting a negative review. Twice in a row I have gone and ordered my normal, the angel roll, and been completely skimped on the tuna on top. The first time I was given only the tiniest piece placed in the middle with the rest being shrimp and avocado. So next time I order it modified to have no shrimp on top at all, still only a small slice of tuna... Very frustrating! Haven't gone back in quite a while, but decided to give them another chance tonight. I asked for no shrimp and extra extra roe, which I was charged extra for. And I had absolutely NO extra roe at all! It this point, I'm just done.

Amazing food and prices! 6.95 for 8 pieces of Spicy tuna roll is a steal. You can tell if the sushi is fresh by the rice. If it falls apart or breaks when eating it then its fresh. If the rice is hard and doesn't even get close to breaking then its not fresh. Sake was amazing and my mothers Alaska Roll was amazing also. Tried multiple places in my area and this was the only place that reminded me of Japanese restaurants like NYC which I moved here a year ago.

This restaurant used to be a favorite. We stopped by a while ago and noticed a new menu and the prices were 30-40% higher! I asked the water what happened, he smugly said "inflation" with a grin. We left and won't look back. There are plenty of other restaurants that won't take advantage of hard working people. You lost a customer and local. See my menu from just last year. You cannot tell me chicken had gone by 40%!

I've been coming to Ble Sake for years, and I always loved they're food and drinks. The last couple visits, the food was not quite as good, thus the 3 stars.

We have been enjoying Blue Sake for nearly 7 years now and never had a bad experience nor a dish we didn't like! (We dine and take out.) Do yourself a favor and give them a try! You won't regret it! The food and staff are phenomenal. Love, love, love Blue Sake!!

Ordered the chicken pad Thai as takeout. It was ok . Not the best I’ve had. Missing spice and crunch from peanuts/bean sprouts.

I’ve always enjoyed the food here and usually get the Blue Sake Pho but today I got the Singapore Noodles with shrimp and it was delicious!! The portion was generous enough that I have a nice serving for lunch tomorrow. If I hasn’t also got an order of salmon nigiri I probably would have finished the noodles. The small salad with the tasty dressing was the perfect size to start the meal with.

The drinks, food, atmosphere is phenomenal. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. We even asked if they sold their salad dressing and they made a special accommodation for us and sold us some! The food is to die for for real.

I loved this place and have never had an issue until yesterday and today! I placed a delivery order for sushi through Uber eats. I received the wrong order. I tried calling the restaurant but they didn’t answer. So I contacted them the next day, which was today, and the guy I spoke to, which was very nice, stated he would remake our sushi and I asked if I could pick it up when I got off work. He agreed! I called at 6pm to let them know I would be on my way and the lady that answered stated “I threw it away and I’m not remaking it” and told me to call Uber then hung up on me. She was extremely rude which was not necessary! This is not Uber Eats fault that your establishment made the wrong food! Our new order, that I was to pick up today was made prior to me getting off work and calling them to let them know I would be on the way, which was agreed upon originally. Horrible customer service! Again I received food that I wasn’t even able to give to my daughter to eat because it was made with peanuts so it was a waste of money. Two horrible experiences within a day! Will definitely find another place to go.

Worst Thai food I've ever eaten. Thai beef salad had no cabbage at all and almost no lettuce, hardly any chicken in Pad Thai Chicken which was sickly sweet and a gooey mess from overcooked noodles and the sushi was not fresh at all it was pre-made and ice cold from refrigeration even after being delivered. I definitely wouldn't eat here again nor would I recommend it.

I have eaten much better sushi in other places. It was just average. Plus we asked for a sweet potato sushi and the sweet potato was undercooked. They were gracious enough to take it back and make us a new one which was better. We also ordered their Papaya salad which was also very average. The service was average. The sake was overpriced. Not luke warm, cold. We had been regulars but will not be moving forward.

My daughter and I ate here based on a recommendation from a friend. I live nearby and had never noticed this restaurant tucked in where it is.
The menu really has a wide variety of options from different Asian cuisines and my daughter and I both tried options that were new to us. Our meals were very good and a nice diversion from the usual Asian restaurant menu items.
The waiter was friendly and helpful without being intrusive. I got the distinct impression this is a family-run business and we felt welcomed even though we were there a little late in the evening.
The decor was unremarkable but seemed well maintained.
Now that we have discovered this restaurant we will definitely go back and try out some of the other unique items on their menu.

Loved every bit of my experience dinning in tonight. The staff was friendly, the bathrooms clean, the food fresh, and even the customers were friendly. Def can't wait to try more of their menu. It's pretty extensive and I saw lots of yummy items I want to try.

Had the Drunken Noodle and it was delicious > their curries are outstanding has well > have them add the spice heat level you can handle > hot works for me > now a once a week customer

Watch out for the hidden fees and upcharges
$2.00 for a side of spicy mayo ( printed menu price $0.50)
$4.25 for a kids side of miso soup. we opted for the soup rather than the kids side and was charged full price . Kids meal missing a side
$1.00 up charge for food cost. No where on the menu was this printed
We talked to the server and just got a blank stare

I normally order from this restaurant once or twice a month...I just ordered again ... the portions were baby to child size at the same cost the delivery guy did not follow instructions ....very disappointing....but not just the restaurant fault and the delivery guy's fault ....I also blame the current administration that is running our country to be the biggest fault...you only follow the leader.. probably never ordering from this place again

Great food. Didn't like they plated our rolls together at all. We weren't even sitting close together. This is our second time there and the food didn't disappoint

When I got my receipt I just paid the bill because that's what your supposed to do..But I had previously looked at the menu so I knew the prices of everythingSo there was no need for me to look back at the receipt upon payingBut if I did I saw that I have been cheated not once but twice they charge me an extra $1.50 for a glass of Marlow house wine they gave me four small chicken wings Instead of six pieces of chicken...sorry it was not chicken wings it was a portion of chicken wing they gave me four for $8.95 and then they charge me for additional extra sauce that I asked for honestly for the but did not need for the small chicken wings pieces /portions that I received I didn't need a sauce I needed chicken whole wings I felt like a true African AmericanThey didn't even ask me how my food was but the waiter made it his business to ask the people right in front of me out there food was and when he proceeded to walk away I volunteered to say i was good tooMy bill only came to $32 that is nothing but it is something when You don't receive what you paid for especially in such a time of a pandemic and joblessPeople out hereI didn't want to be treated like a individual African-American I would be treated like a customer .And every time I went back it got worseI didn't want to think it was just me But today they show their true colors how they treat Individuals different I'm sorry

Real Thai food, delicious and well priced. Sushi was fresh and the rolls creative....and again, well priced. The sevice is impeccable; polite, knowledgeable, efficient and fast. Highly reccomend a visit!

First time visit, came because of a coupon. Very glad we dined here. Had the papaya salad, Indonesian Haksa, and Beef Teriyaki. Everything was very tasty. Service was good.
