The pad Thai was very good! The sweet and sour chicken was also tasty. My daughter liked the bubble tea. The serving sizes are very large. The service is friendly but very slow. It's probably better to call ahead or just get takeout. The dining room is tiny. It might seat 10 people max.

I do really recomend this place. I was on my way home and I found this Thai restaurant. The service is amazing and the food is great too. The bathrooms are super clean and that tells a lot of the cleaness of the place. I had a pineapple rice with chicken for just 16 dollars and the size was perfect.

The quality of the food and service you get from this place is incredible. Just be careful if you have friends or families with allergies, the menu is all inclusive, but some dishes have shell fish and peanut oil in them.

If you are careful ordering, this is going to be one of the better dining experiences in the city of Petersburg. I highly recommend the bubble tea if you haven’t had one, it is quite the experience.

Also, Thai food can be spicy, but that’s why we love it!

Nice place and friendly owners. I asked for the chicken curry as spicy as possible, and they went out of their way to do just that, including an extra side of minced chilis. It was perfect! Will definitely stop again!

Nothing Thai about Nisa Thai 2. I ordered the Drunken Noodles & Pad See Ew, and it was flavorless and tasted like it was cooked in vegetable oil. Both dishes were oily and the Drunken Noodles didn’t have any spice at all, and the serving size is small.
I would never order here again. If you’re looking for tasty, local Thai in this area, I recommend Kacha Thai in Hopewell.

Had to-go while stopping in town for the night, the whole area is really cute and Nisa is no exception. Very quick service and the food was excellent! I had the yellow curry and my partner did garlic chicken both were excellent. I only wish I had tried their Tom Kha because given how good the curry was I'm sure it would've been excellent. I hope I'll be back soon!

THERE ARE MORE TABLES! I came back to edit this because I've been seeing reviews that down grade this place because it's small. There are only 3 tables up front, but there's a whole down stairs area with 8 or 9 tables. Not sure if this area is open in the evening, but I've been for lunch and this is usually where I sit at. It's a great local place for Thai food! I found them during the pandemic and I've kept coming back. The food is great, the prices are reasonable, and the service is fast. I can usually place an order and walk out with my food within 10-15 mins. Side note: if you do decide to dine-in there's more seating than what you see. There are 3 tables up front but there are more downstairs.

Disclosure: we’re Thai food aficionados, and we have a diary of over 40-50 Thai places we’ve visited. The fact this place has a vegetarian menu (including Drunken noodles) is a big plus, and their food was decent just not our favorite (the vegetarian duck dish was good though, just not really spicy)

On our bill, each item was billed $1 more than listed on the menu: when we asked, we were told that the prices had risen but beware menus were still pending. The hostess did give us a “discount” to make the prices the same as the menu and free tea by way of apology though

Me and mom my would always come here in this restaurant and I would recommend this. Please be mindful that this is an Asian Cuisine, so how they do things is different than others. (I just wanted to inform MOST of y’all) The service was superb and the server was such a sweet and nice lady! Love her❤️ Overall, 5/5 give it a try!

Being away from home, I wanted a nice homestyle meal. The staff was friendly and service was fast. I got my favorite, mussaman curry, and it was not bad at all. I definitely appreciate their authenticity and friendly service.

This review is based on delivery order...Very dry drunken noodles and pad Thai. The chicken on both was good though. Overall, flavor was just okay. No spiciness at all. We were both a little bummed.

We will give them a second chance at another date and update review then.

I’m incredibly disappointed in who ever is working the kitchen today. I just had my food delivered and received the most burnt and over cooked wings. The pho broth taste terrible, overly salty. The only thing eatable were my shrimp rolls. This is not my first time ordering from this restaurant but unfortunately this will definitely be my last.

They gave me the wrong order.

Y'all! I cannot even begin to describe the terrible experience we just had. We ordered Doordash pickup and arrived at the scheduled time to get our food. After waiting for a bit, were told our food had been picked up by a Doordash delivery driver and accidentally delivered to the wrong house. Oh, but wait, the driver was on the way back and we need to wait because the food wasn't opened. We insisted they either remake or refund the food. They refused and insisted we wait for the food to come back or work through Doordash for a refund. I mean, come on, it left your restaurant and went to someone else's house, but you just want us to trust that it wasn't opened? That's just gross. We left without our food or a refund. Definitely will not return, which sucks, because this the only Thai place in town. For what it's worth, we were there for over 20 minutes and in that time 1) the Doordash driver did not return, but 2) the person whose house our food went to showed up and got their food hot and fast (and free, because Doordash had refunded them)

First time patron. Had Spring Roll, spicy Thai Shrimp Basil and Iced Tea. The Shrimp Basil was so good that I inquired about Sunday hours so that I could return with my son the next day. Unfortunately, they are closed on Sundays. One lady took care of tables and cash register . She was still able to keep my iced tea filled. There are only a few tables for dine-in and they kept busy with takeouts. There are other locations; this is the only one I visited. If I am back in area, I would definitely consider visiting again and highly recommend others give it a try.

Definitely on par with the worst pho I have had. Took a chance because they were local and definitely was a let down. The meat (beef) seemed old and dry, the bean sprouts were brown and the broth was almost clear which was my first indicator that this might not be right. I've had it all over the country and never been quite like this. My wife and I both tossed ours and crossed this place off the list.

I absolutely enjoy the chicken fried rice with no onions ( not saying it’s bad with onions ) I just don’t eat onions. But great place to eat and enjoy a peaceful environment.

Food was good, but price was much too high for what you get. I paid for the premium size for both dishes, Thai fried rice and basil shrimp. The fried rice was about the same size as other establishments, so I'm not sure what was premium about it. The portion size for the basil shrimp was very disappointing. It was the standard sized to-go container and it was maybe 1/4 full. The veggies were mostly just huge junks of onions. The sauce wasn't enough for the rice. I can't imagine how much I would have received had I ordered the regular size. Overall, I spent $37 on two rice dishes and didn't have leftovers and I don't eat much, so I almost always have leftovers.

If you say you are open until 9p, then be open until 9p, don’t have your open sign on.

I ordered on the online and went in to pick it up and then they told me that it doesn’t work with Q menu so I had to wait for the food and had to re-order at the store however, the food came out in less than 10 minutes and was really good!

The service was TERRIBLE. (Dine in experience) They acted like they didn't want to serve me because of my skin color. The food wasn't good either. Absolutely no taste. Your better off going to the places in Richmond. Once again, the service was bad. Once I was done eating she didn't even say thank you or anything just threw the receipt at me.

The food is good but never order online. They don’t check those orders. I call myself ordering ahead waited 30 mins. Call to see if the order done, she’s like ok let me see… hang up. I get there and they still haven’t started cooking my chicken and rice 🙄 I waited 10 MORE minutes before I just said forget it and left.

Very disappointed. High rating for Thai in our area, so we gave it a try. I ordered Pad See Ewe. The noodles were very overcooked. The sauce wasn't anything to write home about. I ordered the premium (not sure what made it premium) and there were only 5 Broccoli pieces. The dish and food was overall very oily. I ended up tossing most of it in the trash. What a waste, lesson learned.

OMG this hidden gem is so delicious! Great customer service and yummy food. The only thing I would say is the portions seemed rather small. I ordered the Basil Duck premium and I think they accidentally gave me a regular size portion. I also ordered the Curry chicken, chicken fried rice, Curry Puff and Tod Mun. The Tod Mun is so yummy and the curry puff with the cucumber dipping sauce is great.
Update: I went here on a Saturday afternoon and it was clearly busy. I called in and they prepared my order. When I got home, my husband noticed that there was hair in our food. The place is usually running pretty smoothly, but this particular day things seemed a bit chaotic. The food was still good but I was disappointed about the hair in my food

Wow Lao! Words can't describe how good and authentic! Ordered the dumplings, Roasted Duck 🦆 basil stir fry and som tum Lao with shrimp. 🦐
Both were a bit spicy and we loved it. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

Don't waste your money on the fried wontons. It's like two folded fried chips with nothing inside and the Sweet and sour chicken was 90% veggies. Food its overpriced in my opinion.

Ground level tables were occupied, so we were brought downstairs. Area with no charm at all, and kid (owner's?) playing video game at a table. I wasn't too impressed with my curry, the potato chunks looked green and were too hard for my liking (I like it when they fall apart, not when I have to cut with a knife). My husband liked his dish okay. We ordered the large portions, which indeed are large, although only a small amount of rice with them. Our waiter never checked in on us at all after delivering the food, and when we went upstairs to ask for a to go box and pay, we found him him eating his own dinner. We were surprised that on our bill 3 x $1.00 charge was added, and one time $0.50. I believe the latter was for take out boxes that we asked for, but the former was vague. The lady mentioned something about prices going up. The menu had some prices crossed out and changed, but I guess ours got a hidden price increase. I certainly didn't appreciate being charged more than advertised on the menu (could have said so at time of ordering?). Total was $38 for 2 chicken curry dinners. I have had much better for much less, and with the lacking service and atmosphere, I won't be going there again.

Best Thai takeout south of Richmond VA. Boba tea is delicious. If you love Thai food this is your takeout location.

This restaurant was good, but could make simple changes to be better.

1. We had dine in — late June- over 85F inside- door open and No AC (employee said it was broken)

2. Curry was soup consistency— great taste and flavor but more like Curry Tom Yum soup (if there is such a thing?).

3. Prices reasonable— except for drinks (non-alcoholic)

4. Spring rolls good, but do not recommend fish cakes at all.

Overall this isn’t a bad place — I’d probably stick with some Thai staples and not venture around the menu too much. Good take out option, and they had lots of door dash orders. If you want excellent Thai in the area, you’ll probably have to go to north of Petersburg.

They fogot to give me broth with my pho. Smh

Amazing food! If you like pasta try #24 and #9. If you like soup try #69 with brisket. There is additional seating on the lower level with a wet bar and television. Seriously try it.

Truly the best Thai takeaway in Richmond Virginia

The Pho place in Chester closed (closed today sign has been up for months now), so I wanted to find a new place. Pho Saigon on Hull has never impressed me with their broth. I was given a suggestion by a friend to try Nisa Thai 2 and that their “pho” was amazing. First off, it is tasty, but it’s not Vietnamese style broth in any form. It tastes like wonton soup broth. I ordered to go and the setup was as such: the beef was cooked and all of the ingredients were in the bowl together. All other pho places, the meal itself comes deconstructed. The food was good, but do not think this replaces Vietnamese pho.

Very small place with limited dining table (approximately 4). Food was typical Thai. Tom Yum soup was very flavorful and my cashew chicken curry was good too. Curry was balanced and portion was just right. I would go back here.
