Great food! Huge menu that could be easily adapted to gluten free! Super fun vibe. We had “summer rolls” and also their regular pad thai. Incredible flavor! The summer rolls came within minutes of ordering and it wasn’t too long for the pad thai either. My husband and I split the one order of each and were full!

The food was amazing. A must have for Thai food lovers. Had the Pad Thai which was awesome, very authentic. And the Khao Soi Gai, was very delicious. We had Nate as our waiter , very helpful and knowledgeable. We will be back , that's for sure.

I have visited this place several times. Regrettably, I feel that on this last occasion, the quality has lowered. The red curry was extremely sweet, like jam; maybe it's getting americanized. I'd warn the waiter to make it less sweet like the original Thai. White rice should be complementary all-you-can-eat with the curry. Pad kra pao was very good.

Atchana’s is a fabulous restaurant and we have always had a great experience! We have been coming for a couple years, and my fiancé and I recently had our engagement party in their upstairs room. They went out of their way to make our party perfect and were so easy to work with. Thanks to Mickey and everybody at Atchanas!

Food was good but not great. We were asked to leave because they needed the table two minutes after paying the bill. Many better Thai restaurants to go to that don’t rush you out.

Surprised by the high rating. Food here was in the disgusting to average range. Noodles came out of the kitchen and served still hard. The rest was distinctly average apart from the Tom Kha Gai which was good. Disappointing generally. Location in the middle of the grove which is nice and a simple format which is refreshing for miami.

A great find in coconut grove. A cute neighborhood restaurant right on grand and commodore. We ordered the Pad thai & Veggie Green Curry. The servings were more than enough for upto 3 people. Not sure what homegrown meant, but the veggies in the green curry were so fresh & crunching, felt like they were from a kitchen garden.
It was with great pleasure that we ate our food with wine & beer. We did sit indoors, which is a cozy atmosphere with a great big fish tank.

I rarely leave bad reviews. Where to start…

Genuinely feel like I got scammed last night after paying for this and taking it back home to eat with my family. We ordered takeout at the bar, and despite the lackluster demeanor of the man who took our order, I thought I might have found a solid Thai spot in miami. We placed the order and ordered some Thai Tea and beef satay to eat while we waited. The Thai tea came out first and I have never tasted something so sweet in my life. I’ve had Thai tea many times, including in Thailand, and this was over-sweetened to the point of being undrinkable. When I mentioned this to the man, he said “it’s Thai tea, Thai tea is sweet” rather than just accept my experience as truth. I said I could not drink it and instead of offering to make it with less sugar he just took them away. Some time later he swung by and placed some cash in front of us (since we had already paid) without saying a word or making eye contact. The beef satay came out a few minutes later. Some skewers were over salted, some lacked flavor, the sauces were decent but not great. Just ok. I was beginning to have some doubts about the place.

When we finally got our order and were halfway back home, we get a call from one of the servers at the restaurant — who unlike the man at the bar was nice and polite — saying they had forgotten to pack two items in our order. He offered to deliver them to us but we just went back and picked them up.

So after all of that, we finally had the food. It was underwhelming to say the least. The summer rolls which were supposed to have shrimp had only vegetables, and the sauce was quite bad. The pad kee mao was miles from being authentic. Noodles were dry and lacked flavor. The panang curry was very unbalanced, tasting too much like coconut milk and not enough like everything else. To make matters worse, we had ordered the mango sticky rice for dessert and found that we had received the sticky rice side dish instead. The jumping squid (which single handedly satisfied my craving for authentic Thai cooking) and the crispy duck were enjoyable relative to the rest of the food, but we were overall very disappointed and sad to have paid so much money for mediocre cooking and poor service.

Every single person we interacted with was super nice! The food was yummy and they're kid friendly too.

We had the most delicious and fun couples dinner with the delightful Tasha as our server. We had delicious foods and sat right by the gorgeous fish tank and had so much fun. reasonably priced, dinner for four including a big bottle of sake was $250 with tip included and dessert

Oscar & Hector always come through like a pair of brilliant magicians: they keep bringing dishes out of the kitchen that you didn't know you desperately needed your whole life until you have your first taste. Love at first bite.

Big up to the owners for keeping this venue feel like the last oasis in 33133 that makes you feel like you're back in the Grove that you grew up in.

(Our daughter Nina loves this restaurant so much that she created a mini Atchana’s play set with menu and everything - even crispy duck!!)

I was here during vacation and, if you are planning to go here stay away from the special fried rice it has little to no flavor, and very bland.

Good Thai food just next to Coco Walk, the food was so good that I didn't have time to take more photos. The servers were wuiete friendly and helped us get a table inside per request despite the table was served with the orders. Would come back to get the pad thai and some curry

This was the best Thai food I’ve ever had! We were looking for a new place for lunch and tried this on a whim. The staff were super friendly and gave us great recommendations. You could tell many customers were repeat frequenters there because they all seemed to know many of the staff by first name when they walked in. We got the crispy duck and khao soi with grouper. The duck was insanely flavorful and most importantly the perfect combination of tender meat and crispy skin. It was served with fresh, perfectly cooked vegetables and a delicious, spiced sauce. The khao soi was one of the best noodle dishes I’ve ever had. It was a Thai noodle curry and the broth was insanely flavorful. We will go back every time we visit Miami for sure! And all the other dishes being brought to other customers filled the room with intoxicatingly good smells.

Come with patience. You’ll get authentic Thai food, but the wait time is excessive. We were a party of three and spent about 1 hour at the restaurant waiting to be seated. The food took 30-40 minutes and didn’t come out altogether. The servers were extremely nice, but the restaurant management could do better.

I have a gluten allergy and my waiter was very catering. He explained each item on the menu I was able to eat and things they could make gluten free. Thai is tricky with gluten so I was very impressed. They also offer gluten free soy sauce!

As a lifetime, lover of Thailand and Thai food… This is one of my all-time favorite restaurants in Miami. The dishes are authentic and consistently good. The staff are exceptionally caring and efficient. My favorite dishes are the spring rolls, the super fresh fish dishes, the mango key lime pie and their own “Steve’s Mango Siracha” The array of optional spicy sauces is unusually sophisticated.
Atchana‘s homegrown and home-cooked approach extend to the cozy relaxed atmosphere both downstairs and in there upstairs event space. Unlike so many of Miami’s transplant restaurants, Atchana’s Reflects the true Grove atmosphere, and environment with the gorgeous aquarium downstairs and the Cypress river aquarium in the upstairs event space. Atchana and her husband, Steve are nearly always there to welcome me and .are vigilant over all.

My favorite place in Coconut Grove! The waitstaff is very friendly and I got to chat with the owner the last time I was there! The food is always tasty and I always leave with leftovers!

I walked up at 9:16 to get a table the “busser” comes up to me and tells me “no seats we close at nine thir”…… was about to say 9:30 but stops and looks at his watch and says 9:15. To which I respond it’s 1 minute it’s 9:16 you can’t sit me. He flat out walked away. Rude, horrible customer service. I have been there way later on many separate occasions. Good news is I found a place 7 minutes away named MOON THAI that is way better food, way better quality, and WAY BETTER customer service. 10/10 recommend.

They closed the kitchen at 9:15 PM. If they do so, why don’t they update their hours online instead of putting that they close at 10 PM

Interesting place. I would consider myself a fairly experienced Thai food customer, so take this review with that background. Ordered three appetizers, two of which are ordered to spice level desired (satay doesn’t apply to this). All three were quality ingredients, presentation, but the two items ordered with a spice preference were ordered “hot”, the larb and the mixed friend rice. Shockingly, those had zero spice, nothing. Like hospital cafeteria food. Seriously disappointed, the whole table was. The mixed satay was fine, chicken definitely better than the beef, but overall good. The two other apps were just a total waste, and double the price of other (authentic) Thai restaurants. This is a major miss, and unacceptable, so I could not recommend visiting this place. Bland larb is a food sin, so do not go to this restaurant if you’re looking for authentic Thai food that has flavor. For a main, we had a green curry duck. It was decent, extremely fatty, even for duck. And absolutely zero spice, even though we ordered it hot. So, skip this place if you want real Thai food. There’s a far superior, and much less expensive, Thai restaurant in north Miami called Pranya, which offers authentic Thai food, and you can actually get it to a spice level that the cuisine is intended to be served at.

One of the few authentic Thai restaurant around Miami, I eat there at least 3 times a month and they always prepare my favorite Khai Soi perfect, good portions, fast service .

Food was good, but not amazing. Service was below expectations, never truly greeted and not treated with respect. The waiter didn’t introduce himself and seemed impatient while we ordered.

Both the flavors and customer service here are out of this world. Can’t wait to go back! Pad Thai and the yellow curry are the best I’ve ever had.

Having been to Thailand and tried the real thing, and other Thai restaurants in Europe, not all dishes here are authentic.

The satay chicken was good and the portion was very generous. The green chicken curry while also copious was over powered by coconut cream and Thai aubergines (eggplant) were absent. Disappointing.

The Pad Thai was tasty, but a pile of messy noodles. One has to request crushed peanut if one likes that version.

Service was very friendly and helpful, but not attentive. Our starters never came out. Our mains appeared and were returned to the kitchen to be kept warm while the forgotten starters were made.

We had fun anyway. I don’t know if there are better Thai places in Miami, but I will not return to this one.

The service was top notch. We sat inside and on a coolish night in the grove they had the air and fans blasting. It was so cold. Then, the food, which was tasty, arrived barely warm. I had it re heated and it was better..but it got cold so fast due to the ice box temperature of the restaurant. I'm never cold..and I was freezing. I'd eat there again but definitely outside!!

This place lives up to its amazing reviews. They say they can make everything as you would like it. Amazing service. Reasonably priced.

I love seeing the same faces when we come here. We get stuck getting the same things because they just remind us of all the incredible Thai food we used to have in New York. We always get the Thai beef jerky, large gai and you must eat with sticky rice. The drunken noodles and pad woon sen. We just had the green cury and so delicious! Fun, wonderful Thai restaurant in the heart of Coconut Grove! Delicious dishes that are reasonably priced and big enough to share, nice wine list, lively atmosphere, and super friendly and attentive staff make for a delightful experience.

Was very excited to try this place upon great recommendations but the whole eve was a disappointment. The waitress forgot to put in our complete order to begin with and we kept waiting and waiting for the soup. Had to remind her twice …which didn’t come eventually. The food was just about warm as if it was made and sitting there. I think she forgot to bring it out in time. All other tables had food piping hot..we could see that. And it wasn’t even so busy so I wonder why !! Don’t think will go back.

I was born and raised in Asia. The food here is relatively good but still considered American style thail food. I don’t quite give bad comments but today I was really annoyed because I waited 30mins for the table and someone later came took my table. While the server promised me I am the first in line. BTW it took more than 30 mins to have first appetizer, no drinks at all. The waitress also missed to order dog bowl for my puppy. Really bad experience, feels like waste tons of time in meaningless waiting. Ruin my whole Sunday. Ohhh btw, there is no PARKING. Took 20mins to find a parking slot and 1 hour for 12$. This place is overrated af, do not come if you have more choices.

I rarely leave negative reviews, as I'm usually patient and empathetic towards the challenges faced by the service industry. However, my recent visit compelled me to share my disappointment. I placed a pickup order at 7:45 PM, with an estimated pickup time of 8:30 PM, which required me to drive from Brickell to Coconut Grove.

Upon arrival, the hostess informed me that the kitchen was running behind schedule but failed to provide any estimated time or reassurance about my order's readiness. After inquiring, I was told it would be another 15-20 minutes. Returning at 9:10 PM - allowing an extra 40 minutes for any possible delay - I found my food still unprepared, with no signs of urgency or concern. Finally receiving my order at 9:26 PM, about an hour after the promised time, showed a complete lack of consideration for customers' time.

To make matters worse, they omitted one of the rice portions that should have accompanied the Penang chicken or tofu dish. As if that wasn't enough, the food quality itself left much to be desired. The pad see ew was unusually sweet, a far cry from the authentic taste I expected and waited so long for.

Regrettably, this experience has left a lasting negative impression, and I cannot recommend this restaurant. I will never set foot in it again. Fortunately, there are far superior Thai restaurants in the city that offer both better service and taste.

Lovely location. We sat outside and had our lunch. The food was very good. We had papaya salad, drunken noodles, wonton, and ramen. Loved papaya salad and wonton.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Food arrived quickly.

The energy in this restaurant alone will make you want to come back!! The staff is soooo nice, and the food is great! The owners have been in the business for decades & used to have an amazing restaurant in a green building I went to often when I was younger. They have a cute little indoor bar too in case you just want to pop in and sip on some sake

My daughter has frequented this restaurant several times and I surprised her to dine here. We had no reservations and walked in. We advised hostess we were 2 people and we asked to sit inside . She said she would get back to me. I told her we would wait if necessary. She returned and said she could sit us right away. I paid for parking and proceeded to sit. After we sat she came back to tell us we had to get up as a reservation had arrived. How embarrassing and disrespectful. This all happened in front of the owners who did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. Extremely dissatisfied. I manage
a small business and this is definitely not the way I would treat my customers.

The Service was fantastic, the crew was very friendly and made me feel like a frequent customer even though I was visiting from out of town. The food was delicious, and spiced just right, finally the atmosphere was perfect with good vibes from the staff and patrons alike.

easily the best thai food i’ve had in years. i was feeling tired and beat up after a long day of driving and came to atchana’s with a mighty craving for thai food. i got the panang curry with tofu instead of chicken and i felt better from the very first bite. the curry was so much more fragrant and flavorful than any i’ve had at a thai restaurant in a very long time, i liked the pretty wide variety of vegetables, and the tofu had great flavor and a nice soft texture too.

while the prices are kind of high (but definitely pretty average for this area) the portions are also quite large (at least for the curry). i ended up taking some of my order to go and they included a fresh serving of rice for me to take with me which was very thoughtful!

We were going to other place but I smelled the food at this place while we were passing by and I told my boyfriend “OMG the food smells sooooo good here”. Long story short, we end up staying here and we have no regrets. The food was so delicious (and I'm very picky with my food) service was amazing! We met the owner, she was very nice too! Definitely recommend this place! We will come back many times!

I love Atchana's! It is the best Thai food in South Florida. The portions are big and the ingredients are always fresh! It is not extremely cheap but the food is worth every penny!

The food is decent here not a 5 star but not below a 3 star I actually wanted to give them a 3 1/2 star review but google doesn't do half star rating. Anyway my order was messed up and rushed it was busy but not that busy 🙃. Sorry for not having pictures as I always do, I'll give the another future try soon, but the moral was down so I wasn't on my picture game. I feel on a good day I could give them a almost 4 star but we have to see next visit.

I have eaten Thai all over the globe. I own multiple restaurants that have an Asian basis. This place was as good tonight as I remember l. The spicy duck is amazing. The mixed Sate perfectly seasoned. My wife's noodle dish super. Definitely homemade Thai food with love. Anytime they want to open in the Carribean I am with them. Do not miss this place when in Miami.

5 stars food, 5 stars beer and 5 stars service

Eaten in-house many times. It's solid food for Miami but run-of-the-mill for NYC, DC or SoCal. It's EXTREMELY pricy considering the ingredients used in the food ($15.00 for dried beef? $8.00 for Tofu soup? $28.00 for pad thai?!?)

Four simple apps and a pad thai came out to $105 before any add-on service charges.

That's abusive pricing, IMO.

A note for management on deliveries: You shouldn't deliver any fried food in sealed plastic containers... it just makes for a soggy mess.

If I'm spending $9.00 for egg rolls the least you can do is package them correctly.

A note for Google: Add a "VALUE" star rating so users can see if the restaurant is worth the price. It allows us to better put the pieces together (Didn't you guys buy Zagat forever ago?)

My favorite Thai restaurant in Miami

Atchana's Homegrown Thai is a hidden gem in Coconut Grove, Miami. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the positive energy and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant is decorated with traditional Thai decor, creating a cozy and welcoming environment.

The menu offers an array of classic Thai dishes that are cooked to perfection. All of the ingredients are locally sourced from the Redlands, ensuring freshness and quality in every bite. The spice level was just right for me - not too spicy and quite flavorful. The presentation was also top-notch as well. I had green curry with crispy duck and I don’t have words to describe how good it was. My wife had curry grouper, and her comment was “I needed this in my life” 🤣.

The service was excellent. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu items, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal.

Overall, my experience at Atchana's Homegrown Thai was outstanding! The food was delicious and full of flavor, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for an authentic Thai dining experience in Miami!

Delicious food! I’ve been on the search for great Thai in Miami for a while and this place really delivered. Sunday lunch staff was super kind and attentive and even let my kids feed the fishes. I will def keep coming back!

good food but overpriced

My wife and I have enjoyed this restaurant since moving back since covid HOWEVER, today we purchased 4 dishes for my mother who is VERY DISCRIMINATING and she LOVED IT!!

If you have a Thai good craving, this is the spot for the satisfaction. Get the satay protein which comes with a mini fire grill for extra searing. Wings are great, and the pad Thai and Beef Curry with special fried rice.

A hidden Gem in Coconut Grove, the food is exellent, service top notch , and the portions are generous, does not disappoint.

Cute little corner restaurant, offering a dog menu. Small but varied and standard Thai food options. Attentive but not overbearing service. The tree lined street makes sitting outside pleasant, with the exception of mosquitos.

When you think of THAI FOOD, there’s no way to get a better place on this. Atchana’s herself will make you feel like at home, charming wise but in Thailand food wise.

Lychee Sangria was a great drink but I don’t recommend the Singha Margarita if you aren’t a beer person. I recommend the beef satay !

Best Services & Best Overall Thai Restaurant in Coconut Grove!

What a gem! Delicious Thai dishes with so much flavor. The portions were so good for the price! They are all family size so you can share with everybody. Service was fast and waiters were all friendly. The coconut chicken noodle soup was my favorite. Pad thai and pad see ew were great as well! Only thing I didn’t like was the thai iced tea… way too sweet for all of us.

I wanted to love this place as it is really cute. I will also say I recognize that I ordered salmon teriyaki at a Thai restaurant, but I really wanted a piece of fish. It came out soaked in teriyaki and was very cold. Would not recommend at all. The spring rolls were good and my friend's Pad Thai was pretty tasty.

Do you like Thai food? It doesn’t matter, you will love this place. The food is pristinely prepared, and we have liked every dish we have tried after a handful of visits. It is authentic and delicious, and the staff is extremely friendly. (Not sure what to order? Get the massaman curry with beef.)

One of the best restaurants in the grove. The staff is SUPER nice and really care about you having a good meal - they always have good recommendations and can answer all of your questions! You can swap any of the dishes with the different protein options. Only beer & wine, no liquor.

I’ve been here a few times I Work nearby and it is a welcome surprise. This is not a faux Thai place. The food is good and authentic and the people are nice with good service. I am definitely a fan. Going over the weekend with my family next.

Great authentic curry

They passed my standard Thai restaurant test (panang curry & pad kee mao) with flying colors. Some of the best I've had, and loved the condiments at the table available to spice things up to your taste. Great service and highly recommend 👍

Recently enjoyed outdoor dining here. I took my waiter JC's recommendation of Khao Soi Gai and the coconut curry soup was fantastic! My dog enjoyed the pet menu - salmon rice bowl! The service was first class and I will be returning often.

Arrived. They were out of Basil so a lot of the menu wasn’t available. Ordered. Sat for 45 minutes watching people around us who had arrived after us get food. Waiter claimed it was a “kitchen mix up” - we think he just forgot to put in our order. We left and went to Lokal next door. Which was great. The Seafood Pad Thai for $37 Beef Massaman Curry were out of this world. Great THAI Restaurant. Appetizers we had Dumplins and Soup. 💯 Reccomend

I have to admit, I was not a fan of this place the first few times I went. I have a group of friends that love this place and I just kind of gritted my teeth and go. Then, I had the ribs. And my opinion of this place completely changed. Wow! I have been back for the Basil Ribs 3 times now. Can't wait to go back and have them again.

Fantastic, delicious and fresh ramen bowl! You can taste the clean fresh crisp of every ingredient. Get it HOT if you like very hot.
