Cozy restaurant serving Thai curries, noodles & other classic entrees in a relaxed setting.
Beware! Stay away from this Thai restaurant. Smile Thai has gone completely downhill. Every time we call, they claim they don’t have a driver for deliveries beyond 2 miles, even though I live only 4 miles away.
Recently, my wife ordered from them, and the experience was terrible. The food arrived cold, the vegetables were completely undercooked, and despite specifically asking for no spice for the kids, the food was extremely spicy. My 7-year-old even threw up because of how unbearably hot it was.
We also requested three extra sides of rice, only to discover they’ve switched to tiny containers that are half the size of their previous ones—about the size of a sauce container. When I spoke to the manager about it, he insisted the portion sizes had been the same for years even though we order recently before the same thing every time, which is hard to believe. Their portions are now so small that it’s impossible to enjoy their dishes with such little rice.
When I called back to express my concerns, the woman I spoke to was dismissive, talked over me, and denied any wrongdoing. It’s clear that customer service is not a priority for them.
I will never order from Smile Thai again. They show zero care or accountability for their mistakes. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for Thai food.
Thank you for reviewing the customer cocerns. You did replace order for me without any questions asked.Appreciate that.
However, the missing ingredients in my order is still true and will stick to my initial claim(unfortunately, I couldnt snap a pic).Anyways, mix up happens and I'm glad you responded. That tells your commitment towards customers and business.

Ordered Pineapple fried rice and tofu soup last night for pickup. They mixed up with Thai fried rice or something. When questioned during pickup, they did re make pine apple fried rice for me.
After coming home and opened the box ready to eat, pine apple fried rice has just 2 pieces of pine apple,no carrots,no scallions
I am a truck Driver and travel all over USA I am always looking for good food and special Asian food because I like to eat with a lots of Rice. I love the food in this place and good portion, I have a leftovers for the end of the day. Totally recommend this place. Nancy and her brother always take care of me nicely.
Delicious food 10/10 for everything we ordered - pictured below.
Staff is also very friendly. Will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu items.
This is a cozy little establishment but don’t let it fool you when it comes to quality and taste. Prices are pretty reasonable too.
I've been going here for about 9 years and love it every time. The food is delicious, the service is great, and I always have enough for leftovers the next day. Thank you for providing us with amazing food!
This is best place to eat Thai food. Good news is that they have lots of vegetarian options and everything is very tasty. Family owned business never disappoint us. I will highly recommend every one who is looking for good food must try this place. Lucky to have them in our neighborhood.

First visit and enjoyed the food and service. Fresh and hot and provided everything I needed.🤍
I love their service, it makes me feel like I’m at home, and the food is so addicting. 10/10 would come back again!!
We ordered and picked up. Food was fabulous 👌 and the people were very friendly and helpful with our choices

Basil fried rice was bland no flavor taste like plain rice chicken satay was good
Smaller restaurant with about 12 tables (mostly booths). We have been ordering mostly takeout for years but enjoy dining in when we have the time.
All the apps are solid and my daughter goes crazy for their kua kai (pictured). My wife goes between the kua kai, pad thai, and the goong ob woonsen. I usually get the seafood versions of drunken noodle or basil fried rice, extra thai spicy.
Great service, great food, and it's nice and quiet when dining in.
This is unlike any thai food I have had before. Taste is completely off. Also they use ground beef for drunken noodles...
Would recommend their veg tofu soup, chive dumplings, spring rolls, drunken noodles, alternate vegetables
We love thai food but its unfortunate that what we ordered at Smile Thai was below par. Basil fried rice did not have any flavor, rice was hard to chew/either old or not properly cooked and added extra vegetables but did not have a good mix. Chicken Curry was not good as well. We thought of feeding our 5 yrs old the steamed rice but was not properly cooked as well. I was surprised that the food got ready within 5-12 mins from my online order and wondering if it was made fresh. Sorry to add this but not planning to try again. Just my personal experience and may be they messed up this time
Food is marginal at best. There were bits of egg shells in my pineapple fried rice and still bits of skin on the onions in my drunken noodles. The onions were also very under cooked.
I have tried pad Thai at every Thai restaurant in a 15 mile radius and I can proudly say that Smile Thai has the best.
The noodles are never dry and are drenched in the perfect sauce that is not too sweet and not too sour. One thing that other restaurants struggle with is their noodles are dry, but I’ve never had dry noodles from Smile Thai. Another thing that puts me off with pad Thai is oily noodles, but smile Thai barely uses oil and it tastes amazing.
The noodles to price ratio is amazing. You pay about $13-16 depending on the poultry of your choice. I think the price is great for the amount of pad Thai you get. I get so much food that sometimes I can’t even finish it! It’s nice to know that I am getting my money’s worth.
Customer service is amazing! I always order my pad Thai without peanuts and sometimes when I forget to say no peanuts they still don’t put it in because they know me! The man and the woman that work at the counter are very nice and I have never had anything negative about my experience there.
When I go to college, I always thing about coming back to have smile Thai because no other place compares.
Consistently good food, quantity and quality after several visits. Will definitely come back for more. Update Dec 2023, still delicious and plentiful servings for takeout. 5/5😋
Get the fried rice!! is the best!! And I got soup with a roll for free👌so good for the price
Nice Thai spot. Food hits all the right notes without being extraordinary. Service was nice and quick. Everything was packed well and still warm when we got it home. Definitely adding to our rotation.
Services are great. Foods are good and delicious.
We have ordered from them a few times and the food has always been great. Tonight I was adventurous and ordered something different, and my system could not handle the spice. I called and explained the situation to the manager (I think) and he was very understanding and made other recommendations for me. I ordered a different dish and he had it delivered, and again it was great.
We highly recommend Smile Thai Cuisine!
Food is decent
Delicious food 10/10 for everything we ordered - pictured below.
Staff is also very friendly. Will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu items.
This is a cozy little establishment but don’t let it fool you when it comes to quality and taste. Prices are pretty reasonable too.
Nice lunch specials
Great pad Thai.
Really yummy Thai food! Avoid delivery, they take forever, but pick up is pretty quick.
They messed up the phone order and had opportunity to make it right quickly. They lied about what was said on the phone and then chose to make things very difficult. Really poor customer service for food that is already just so-so.
Anybody want to buy out a Thai restaurant? This place needs new management and a course in customer service. We won’t be returning.
Surprisingly but no lunch menu. The taste was alright.
Awesome environment. Kind people.
Ordered
1. tum yum soup - good
2. Drunken noodles- good, however needs improvements to add fee more veggies.
Simple 'n' hassle free dining experience with great food ...
The basic Thai Basil Fried Rice was not made properly. The fried egg was very stinky and the rice and the vegetables were too stinky. I ate one spoon and told them I didn’t like it , they didn’t have the courtesy to even check if I could change to another meal. Very poor customer service and bad food.
Just so-so. Living close by we thought to try it for take away on a Friday night but were quite disappointed both with the Tom Kha shrimp soup and the Pad Thai.
The soup was over the top lemony. Not sure how what flavor they were going for. On the other hand, the Pad Thai was quite devoid of favor - the noodles had just a hint of soy sauce, the herbs were flavorless and even the chicken was bland.
Prices were reasonable but flavors were all of
Great Thai food. You can never go wrong if you love Thai food. The soup they serve on the house is the best.
Great selection of food and it was very good
Great staff and fresh food
Food was tasty , we ordered chicken fried rice and drunken noodles.. both were good , will visit again
It's ok. Not the best
Bad food. They put ground beef for a beef dish that costs over $15. Def not fresh ingredients either.
Restaurant looked neat. Tried fried rice and noodles. Flavours were just alright.
I can’t speak to their service because I’ve only ordered takeout from here, but their food exceeded my expectations. I'll be a regular customer from now on.
This is best place to eat Thai food. Good news is that they have lots of vegetarian options and everything is very tasty. Family owned business never disappoint us. I will highly recommend every one who is looking for good food must try this place. Lucky to have them in our neighborhood.
I dont want to support businesses that are afraid of their customers.
I have had better Thai food. Not horrible, but likely will not order from them again.
I've been going here a lot and it's always been great, but tonight I just had the best chicken chili basil ever. Highly recommend!
Duck was amazing!
Disappointed. Ordered take out. Serving sizes were pretty small. Most dishes looked like soup. Wth? Didn't order any soup. Perhaps the dining in experience is better.
If you want rotten seafood, than this is the Thai restaurant for you. Don’t waste your money on this place, they serve expired and rotten food.
Consistently good food. The Panang Chicken is outstanding as is the crispy duck. Whether eating in or taking out the service is also excellent!
Great food
I enjoyed a girls night with friends. We decided to order take out and I made the orders via phone.
This establishment had great customer service presence and even better food!!
This pescatarian gal ordered the Choo chi shrimp. My friend ordered the kee mow noodles. The food looked great and taste great.
A nice, local Thai restaurant. Absolutely try the Basil duck and the Panang curry, two of our favorites. Spiced to order. Quick local delivery. Friendly customer service, and reasonable prices. Food is always delivered fresh and hot - including fried foods, which have a limited shelf life and normally come soggy from other establishments. Highly recommend. Not only is it the only Thai place in south riding/stone ridge, but it's good to boot. They could be sloppy and say we're the only game in town, but they don't.
I am addicted to their menu. Everything is good.
Everything had too much salt or MSG.
Good, nothing new or different, but what I had was well done ⚡
I love their Pad Thai!
Great food!
Really good Thai food. Authentic flavors just like what you experience in Bangkok.
I love the food. Mom and Pop shop with true Thai food. Price is very reasonable. Just let them know your level of spicness!
I recommend the drunken noodles with chicken. I've been here a few times and the food is very good. I don't think it is expensive as some Thai restaurants in the area and the portion sizes are reasonable.
Reasonably good Thai in Stone Ridge.
This place was in walking distance from where i was visiting. It was clean and the service was nice. I ordered the "basil chicken" and just felt it was a little more watery than what I get everywhere else. Would go back amd try something else. Food tasted good.
Smile Thai is fantastic! It's the only Thai place that will deliver to our house. Their crispy duck kaprow is my absolute favorite dish on the menu. My wife's go-to is usually the pad thai or kee mow (drunken noodles). Their portions are fairly decent sized for the price and delivery is much faster than the Chinese restaurants in the area. They are definitely my go-to when I am in the mood for Asian food!
Great family owned business!
Um good
Bad customer service......very disappointing food.
very poor customer service and bad food.....don not take order correct on phone.
Great food
Ordered couple times from here. This place is the only Thai place near me. So far, I think it's been ok. Nothing too fancy or anything. Thai foods are usually expensive compare to Chinese foods. Portions are pretty smaller too. Other than those two I think it's ok. I love Thai foods so I think I am going to keep going to this place since it's close to my house.
Take out was a disappointment. Soup and curry VERY salty and had more of an MSG flavor. Will travel a bit further for more authentic Thai taste.
Excellent Thai cuisine. Fast friendly service. Great for eat-in or carryout.
Awesome food! Very authentic.
Great food- fast delivery. Great option for people who want a quick bite. Don’t miss their sticky mango rice dessert!!
Great spring rolls and pad thai.
Family business, really good
Great little thai place for a quick lunch! ++
Just awful customer service. Ordered take out a few weeks ago via their phone service. Two entrees were ordered mild and one hot. The operator confirmed the order, and it was confirmed upon pickup. Well.....all entrees were extremely spicy. We had to throw away two of the orders. We called the restaurant and they said we'll just give you free entrees next time you come in, as we are (were) regulars. At our next visit it was now only 15% off, no two free entrees. They had a record of our call and complaint but basically said screw you, we're not giving you free food just because the previous orders were wrong. Awful customer service! We will never eat there again!! Thank goodness for competition and other Thai restaursnts in the local area.
This is worst thai place what so ever...i don't usually write review because I can take care of this kinda problems by talking to owner or manager. But even if I talk to them they don't know what the problem was so I am writing to let everyone know this place SUCKS!!...I've ordered pad sew ew seafood n just had two or three shrimp that it was hiding under...and I've asked for spicy sauce which everyone knows that thai pepper with fish sauce! They didn't think it was that?? Really?? Anyways reduclious restaurant ever!!
Nice little place with a super friendly staff and really good food!
Love the spicy Krapow dinner. My kids enjoy the red curry and chicken satay. Little expensive, but what isn't around here.
Little pricy. Too much MSG.
Food is okay ,not the best Thai restaurant.
You will feel suffocating in the restaurant .
Terrible. I never like to waste food, but unfortunately everything went to trash. Chicken Satay was the only thing okay to eat, rest Tom yum soup (smelled Fish Sauce), Fried Rice, Basil Stir Fry and Crispy Banana all are awful.
Make sure to double check that the order you said is what they heard (if ordering on the phone). We've had a few mistakes in the past but they always take care of me.
I love the Thai fried rice since it's always delicious here.
Good Thai carryout and delivery. They provide very fast delivery.
I got the drunken noodles with beef and the beef was ground beef. Not what I expected and wasn't good. For $9 I would think you'd put better quality of meat in it.
i like paradise fried rice and hot pot mussels. i think overall quality of the restaurant is getting better and better.
This is a diamond in the rough! Kinda hidden from the main view of the highway, I was so glad I found this place. The panang curry was that perfect mixture of sweet and spicy. I will most certainly return to this place multiple times!
