A safe bet when trying a new Thai restaurant is their Pad Thai and let me tell you, this is some of the best Pad Thai I've had in the Nova area.

They had a great balance of rice noodles, chicken, peanut, vegetables and in their dish they include red tofu. Great portion size and price.

I used their website to order ahead for pick up and it was super easy to do and they had the order ready in less than 20 minutes.

You can also order in-store for pick up or dine-in with table service.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and very clean.

This restaurant has plenty of vegetarian options clearly labeled on the menu. Many dishes you get to choose your protein, so can customize your dish.

I had no expectations, walked in and it was a really good vibe so started off well - I LOVE LOVE the ambience/ the staff are so friendly - they seem super stress free and that’s the most important for employees when they’re working so that was nice to see. Very attentive staff.

Food was great! We had drunken noodles & Thai curry, summer rolls for appetizers. So good! We’re both vegetarians and had a good variety to choose from.

The meal was so filling and had extra for dinner. It was yummy. Thai tea was great too sweet for me but good. The sticky mango rice I didn't eat yet but it looks good. I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. Lots of light coming in plus kitchen decorations and plants hung up. It was a chill peaceful atmosphere. The staff is very nice.

I ordered on their site for pick up. Very friendly when I arrived , the pad see ew was amazing! Medium spicy did it for me and tasted perfect. They are quick as well with getting their orders done. The chop sticks they provide are high quality and enjoyed eating my food with them. Highly recommend this place.

Had a fantastic meal here tonight! We ordered the drunken noodles, larb gai tod, the crispy chicken with winter melon, and the fried banana ice cream for dessert. Every single dish was absolutely delicious. The flavors were vibrant and authentic, and the portions were generous.

The service was also excellent – friendly, attentive, and efficient.

The pad thai was fantastic, and the customer service was phenomenal for our takeout orders. The restrictions had a great atmosphere, but it was a little cramped and difficult to get around. Will definitely be back again.

The food was very tasteless and overpriced. I have tried so many Thai restaurants. I have never had a bad experience like this.

My family and I ordered Panang curry, Basil chicken and Wonton soup. The Panang curry, was good but a little bit creamy. My Basil chicken was amazing, the Wonton soup was also good. The mango sticky rice was wonderful. Would come back, 5 out of 5 stars

Tried for the first time last night. I very rarely give a restaurant 5 stars, but the food here was so good I saved half my food for today so I can savor it! I got the crispy chicken with kapow sauce.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant known for its incredible drunken noodles, and I must say, they did not disappoint. Ordered takeout for pad thai and green curry, both were pretty good.

My family and I have been going to this restaurant for a couple of years and have recommended to my family and friends before. I will no longer be going to the restaurant anymore. As you see in the picture they served a spoil broccoli. When I pointed out, the waitress was apologetic. She asked if I wanted a new one which I decline so they took it out of my bill. The total bill came out to $75 for two. Not worth it. Also, it's odd that they still ask for a tip when they served spoiled food. El descaro! I hope I don't get sick.

I ordered a brownie sundae and Thai tea and it was amazing! Best Thai tea EVER!!! The bathrooms were also realy clean and sanitary and the inside of the restaurant was ADORABLE!!! I honestly would recommend bringing friends here!

I have only done takeout / delivery from this place so far. The food is great and we have enjoyed the both times we had done takeout from here. The dine-in looked great as well. It has a cute cafe kind of vibe. Hope to dine-in here soon in the future as well.

Since 2022, something changed with the basil fried rice. I’ve tried it 3-4 times and it’s always disappointed me and I will not longer recommend.

This place is great!

I disagree with some others that this place has no signature dishes. There is one dish I always have to get here and I swear I've tried 3 other Thai places that don't compare: Spicy Basil Fried Rice.

Now, normally growing up my family never got fried rice because it was seen as a waste of money. Makes sense, why would you ever pay for something you can make at home? This place has changed my mind about that.

The Spicy Basil Fried Rice is something different. It's truly not like normal fried rice, it's a mix of wonderful spices that I always finish eating and wonder when my next visit to Ocha Thai will be.

If you get one thing on the menu and don't mind spicy (and it's really spicy), give the Spicy Basil Fried Rice a try.

Turns out I didn’t find the smell of fish sauce pleasing. So I requested that my Pad Thai plate be returned. The servers were very accommodating and got me a new Pad Thai plate without Fish sauce. Thank you!

First time in the area so I wanted Pad Thai for lunch. The type of rice noodles was not depicted as in the menu. Instead of thin, flat noodles, they used rice vermicelli for my dish. If you order Pad Thai make sure you’re okay with being served with rice vermicelli noodles.

Had I been warned about this beforehand, I would have gladly ordered a different dish. When I brought it up to the restaurant they said they don’t have the flat noodles anymore and walked away. The noodles overall were overcooked with the bean sprouts and all mushed together. I had to eat anyway because I didn’t want to waste food.

Two people served our table but neither were accommodating to customer concerns nor willing to resolve conflicts. We spent over $60 to support the local business but this experience was not worth a return.
Would not recommend.

We had a pickup order from this place and when we got home we realized they gave us a wrong item. When we called them, they not only apologized but they delivered the correct item to our house free of charge. Classy move by a classy restaurant. The food here is good too.

We were seated and order taken promptly. The waitress was very attentive.

The food was hot and fresh. We ordered pork pad thai, crispy duck, wonton soup, and the calamari appetizer. For dessert, we had the durian smoothie and mango chiffon cake.

The appetizer, soup, and entrees weren't bad, but I've certainly had better. The desserts were the best part of the meal and it is clear that this is what they excel at.

In the future, I wouldn't be against eating lunch or dinner here again, but I'd probably come here exclusively for desserts and drinks instead.

It was the first delicious dinner in a long time, with a quiet and calm interior, friendly staff, not strong but delicious seasonings and food, and a delicious dessert.

I rarely leave reviews, but the service here was so unacceptable that I feel compelled to share my experience. I found hair in my food, which is completely inexcusable. Instead of offering a genuine apology, they only offered to remake my meal so they could still charge me for it, which has never happened to me before. I declined because my appetite was ruined, and I was honestly baffled by the service. In my other experiences, I've had a full meal replacement at no cost.

Typically, restaurants cover the cost of your meal in situations like this, but they were still petty enough to charge me for the drink I was supposed to have with my meal. To make matters worse, our waitress brought us the check halfway through our meal and again during dessert, despite the restaurant being nearly empty with only about three other customers an hour after opening. I hope they retrain this waitress because this was unacceptable.

Service was not good. I placed an order on the phone and person who took my order was not friendly. She was only interested in how fast to hang up the phone. She did not allow me to ask questions, or she did not ask how I would like my food spicy level. As for the food, my curry dish was good, but my fried rice was not. It was too oily and did not have enough vegetables/verities.

Upon picking up the order, I mentioned their service and they had no concern about it. As if my opinion does not matter. That is arrogance and my business must not mean anything to them.

Total rip off, >$120 for four to eat meager meals consisting of 4" bowls half full of water and rice. We were all hungry again in an hour.

I oredered fried rice instead they sent pad thai which was totally dry and overpacked in one container. Noodles were not mixed with the sauce properly very bad service so disappointed.

This place is a hidden gem. A great place to eat and generally pretty quick. They have a lunch special throughout the week as well as a dinner menu. They have a whole menu of specialty drinks also, so be sure to check that out.

This is a marvelous Thai Kitchen. Today, 3/11/24, was the first time I gave them a try. The atmosphere is charming and clean. The service is excellent. I was greeted immediately, and I never waited more than a few minutes for anything. I ordered off the lunch menu a Thai iced tea, Pad Thai chicken(hot) with a spring roll. The Thai tea was delicious. The Spring Roll was excellent. It came in a tiny terracotta pot that had a red sauce in the bottom that reminded me of the red sauce that comes with sweet and sour chicken. It was not typical, but still very good. The Pad Thai was also slightly different from the more “orangish-brown” looking Pad Thai I am used to, but it was still excellent. It had an inherent sweet taste, but it partnered well with the spice level of Hot. The menu has a lot of options. Everything looks great, so I look forward to returning and trying other dishes. If you visit or live in the area, this is a must-try.

This place is hands down one of the best restaurants I have ever tried — and will ever try in my entire life. The staff? Amazing! The food? Positively mind blowing! The ambience? Impeccable. Your tastebuds and stomach will thank you for going to Ocha. They have great portion sizes and something for everyone on their menu. If I could only pick two foods to eat for the rest of my life it would be their pad thai & crispy chicken w/ panang curry. Normally, I might skip getting desserts at restaurants. Not at Ocha. Do not eat here if you are gluten sensitive or have celiac disease. I called to ask if they provided gluten free options and they confirmed they did. Very cute place in the corner of the mall strip. Service was warm and welcoming. We were immediately greeted and took our order promptly. Everything came out fast and hot. Everything was delicious! The vegan green curry app, Thai tea, chicken drunken noodle and hot tea. Will deff be coming back.

After three of us ordered and got our appetizers, a waitress came to our table and told my wife (who had brought homemade food in a box due to dietary restrictions) that outside food wasn’t allowed in the restaurant. We explained her food restrictions and also asked her if they cannot allow, we will be happy to take everything to go. The waitress very kindly said it was fine to eat here. About 10 minutes later, while we were working on our appetizers, a different (and very rude) waitress came with the entrees and told us we could not bring other food into the restaurant. She said she cannot serve the entrees and we will have to do a take out. Despite of telling her about our discussion with the other waitress, she did not listen and hastily took the food back to pack. We were furious as we had to leave our food half way to come home and eat the rest.

Talking about the food, it was honestly sub par and not anywhere close to some of our favourite joints in the area that serve authentic Thai food.

There were some really good things and some less than good things about this place. Conveniently located by the office, a co worker and I went for lunch. Super cute set atmosphere and decor. Menu options were good. Very good prices and portions. We got the pad Thai with fried tofu lunch set with chicken wontons, panang curry, beef salad, and Thai tea. Pad Thai is was quite good. Moist, flavorful. Chicken wonton lacked filling and was basically a fried wonton skin, which was good. Would have preferred the sweet chili sauce to have been on the side and not just pour into the plate. Friend said panang curry needed some salt, but was good. This made more sense when we saw it didn’t have fish sauce. Offering fish sauce to season would have been nice. Beef salad was not very good. The beef wasn’t a great quality and cooked more than I prefer. There was a lot going on regular lettuce which isn’t usually how Thai beef salad has been served elsewhere. It didn’t have as many other vegetables or herbs - mostly just red onion. The dressing was quite sweet and not as balanced or flavorful or fresh tasting as expected. Thai tea was standard Thai tea and good. Service was fast and efficient, but not necessarily welcoming.

BLUF: Food was great, time to get the food was something to be desired. It took almost an hr to get 2 meals after being quoted 15-30 mins. We tried their pumpkin custard sticky rice which was mediocre but only because of the custard; the sticky rice was perfect. We will be going back but only when we have time to wait.

Nasty customer service!
I have been a regular customer here ever since this place opened. Today, I decided to order a curry for take out. When I got home, the cardboard takeout box was on it's side in the bag and all the sauce spilled out. I called Ocha Thai to see if I could get a refund. I was met with much hostility by a man on the on phone line who proceeded to tell me it was my fault that the sauce spilled. I live 5 minutes from this restaurant and the takeout bag did not move while in the car. When I tried to explain this to them, they continued to berate me. I do not think I will continue to eat here as they do not care about customers and are very rude.

I LOVE this place. Vegan friendly, tastes amazing, nice people.

Our first time dining at Ocha and we LOVED everything about this hidden gem of Centreville. The staff are amazing - constant drink refills, speedy and friendly service. All the items we ordered were delicious and portions were perfect. Don’t forget to order the mango sticky rice at the end :) The decor is cozy and we’ll be back very soon!

Decor was a cross between a Thai restaurant and a coffee shop. But very nice. Food was just OK. I got the red curry hot. Curry flavor was a bit toned down. Pad Thai was ok, but again, no flavor pops.

Stopped here to have lunch before our flight back home to San Diego. I ordered the Duck curry and my wife ordered the Green curry with chicken.. both were excellent! We are well versed in quality Thai and thi place exceeded our expectations for a casual restaurant. Just the right amount of spiciness!

They served me frozen chicken that they heated. Atleast they should have thawed it before heating. I myself being a good cook , I can’t give a good review here. Their Tofu also was horrible. They need to rework on their Menu and cooking process. I wouldn’t go here again or recommend anyone.

The Thai cuisine is very familiar to my palette and yet my tastebuds jumped with joy after every mouthful of this delicious food.
Ordered-
Papaya salad, Ginger stir fry, fried rice with egg and red curry.
Every dish tasted good and served hot.

Papaya salad was very refreshing and I craved for more. Fried rice stole the show with very refreshing and subtle flavors of fresh veggies. Red curry is soul touching and you can't ask for more.
Given the inflation, prices were reasonable. Seating area is clean and cute. Service was quick and they were good enough to check up on the tables every few minutes.
Worth a try!

Their menu displayed a lychee drink, will have to come back to try it some other time.

I’m not going to reduce this restaurant’s overall rating BUT I AM DISAPPOINTED with our take out this round. Ocha Thai typically has the best Thai food in the DMV in my opinion: quality, service and quantity. However, this time we were given barely any larb gai in our order. Barely a quarter of the container is full. I understand that this is an appetizer but I’ve never had barely anything in a container presented to me. Hopefully, this is a one time occurrence, because $8 for essentially one leaf of lettuce cut up and 2 oz of meat is ridiculous. The curry however is generously portioned.

Edit: After starting to eat after my initial review and upon further inspection (half of the dish is actually lettuce. The meat was covering more lettuce after moving the food around)

Original Thai food- everything is excellent! I have tried different thai restaurants in this area- but this one is outstanding- just go and try once- you won't be disappointed!!

I got the lunch drunken noodle, small salad with peanut sauce and watermelon smoothie. The food is so fresh and flavorful, the price is right, and the portions are large enough for two meals. This is really a stand out Thai restaurant that has a unique drink menu to please anyone and everyone. Enjoy!

I love these guys! Their food brings me back to the streets of Thailand, being the most authentic tasting in the area to me. Service is always great and love the look inside. My favorite dishes there are Pad see ew, basil fried rice and my wife loves their curries and Drunken noodles. The dessert menu is amazing as you can tell they put so much effort in the art of those plates and cups, but still have that WHOA flavor. Highly recommend!

I lived in Chantilly for only the summer but Ocha was easily my favorite restaurant in the area. The business is well run, the service is always fast and friendly, and the Thai fried rice is fantastic. I am truly going to miss this restaurant and I recommend it to anyone who likes Thai food.

Nice place, average food, overpriced, bare minimum service. Ordered pad Thai with shrimp and if it’s true that you can judge a Thai spot by its pad Thai, then this place ain’t great. Tasted a bit too sweet, lacking depth of flavor, shrimp was very shrimpy so no marinade on it. Just seemed like the bare minimum and not a dish worth $20. This felt more like a $8-10 plate.

The noodles were all chopped up and when it was served, it smelled like a dog smells; none of that savory thai smell. And I have a stabbing headache from it so there was something in the food that really doesn’t agree with me.

It’s definitely got more of a cafe vibe than restaurant. Service was done by a sour faced woman who has never smiled in her life and seemed to be shooting eye daggers at me whenever she had to come by the table.

Just thoroughly unimpressed. I would believe it if I learned they heated up a frozen meal. Won’t be back. There’s other outstanding thai places around.

The best Thai restaurant in the Chantilly/Fairfax area, hands down. The Pad Thai is out of this world, and their drink menu is incredible.

This place is amazing! It has so many good options for food and it is an amazing place to go to if you want to relax. The service wasn't good the last time I went there. There was this short lady, she wasn't being nice to us. But, in the end, everything else is amazing.

I ordered the drunken noodle to their Thai spicy level and it was the perfect heat level. This will be my go-to restaurant whenever I crave something spicy😋

We ordered crispy chicken Thai fried rice, green curry with crispy chicken and crispy chicken kapaw and steamed dumplings. We went overboard with crispy chicken however overall food was good. Ambience was good. Good customer service and something unique!!!!

We love this local Thai restaurant in sully station. The restaurant is cute and the service is friendly. The food is great, but I wouldn’t say excellent. I get the pad Thai and it could use a biiiit more flavor.

This is our go-to Thai place! This place is AWESOME for vegetarians because you can request fish sauce to be omitted from almost every dish on their menu. They also have an assortment of fun drinks, but their classic Thai tea can't be beat. I highly recommend the Crispy Chicken with Panang Curry. It's like chicken katsu but served with delicious curry instead of Japanese gravy. My partner loves their vegetarian Pad Thai with fried tofu. We also like to share the roti bread (it is flaky and crispy) with a side of peanut sauce! So divine ✨

Desserts are great here! However, the owner made me very uncomfortable when I mis-clicked to no-tip on the kiosk after ordering a drink. She then assumed the tip was on the table and verbally asked “Is the tip on the table?”Then, she said “Why didn’t you leave a tip?” and stood there making us and her workers feel uncomfortable. Honestly, service was not great and the owner’s confrontation shocked me. As a business owner, I believe you should never talk to a customer like this. If you want to go here without feeling uncomfortable, make sure to leave a tip and really spend some time at the tip section of the kiosk so you don’t accidentally press no tip and get confronted by the owner herself.

Glad that I found this spot. Place is hommy, at the corner of Sully st. I ordered a Passionfruit drink, and chicken satay. Service was great. I definitely will be back for dinner.

It pains me to rate this place a 3 because it really is one of my favorite Thai restaurants but lately they can’t seem to get my order right and it’s really frustrating. I always order through Uber eats so luckily I get refunds but it’s really annoying when I’m expecting to get the food I order and either get something completely different or something I can’t even eat. The last two times something has been wrong. Once, I ordered a meal with tofu, since I’m vegetarian, and received my meal with chicken rendering it completely inedible for me. I’m also pregnant so this was especially frustrating and it was too late to order something else. Today, I ordered a Thai tea crème brulee which is normally delicious but today I received some sort of coffee drink? My hope is that this review will cause Ocha Thai to pay a little more attention to orders before they go out for delivery. I don’t want to stop ordering from here because again, I love the food, but if I keep not getting what I order what’s the point?

Wow I’ve never had better Thai food than I’ve had here. We got crème brûlée Thai tea, matcha cream cheese Thai tea, and creamy Thai tea and wow! Incredible. Also get the dumplings and the larb and thank me later 😊. The chicken curry that my husband got was the best curry I’ve tasted. I got the spicy chicken and it was so delicious. Will definitely be back again!
