Very much enjoyed the food here. The staff were very friendly also. The Crispy Beef appetizer is amazing, I highly recommend it. The Pad Prik Pow with both the beef or chicken was delicious. If you like it spicy, ask for more heat as the medium isn't very hot. Will definitely eat here again!
DELISH! The menu has dishes that're international, so it's not just Thai but also Japanese and probably more than that too.
They have a sushi chef that'll make yours minutes after you order it (and you can watch him too). The appetizers are a good size and all dishes I had tasted lovely, from the drunken noodles to the salmon to the sushi, though personally I was partial to the one that fades from dark red to white. The decorations are nice and flowery so l'd say it's good for a date, and the staff pick the playlist so the songs are new and upbeat. 10/10 would stuff my face again lol
Portion sizes to price ratio for their appetizers was incredibly off. $10 for crab rangoons that could fit in the palm of my hand. The green curry was really watery, instead of creamy, which I’ve never seen before. Pad Thai flavor felt diluted as well, and the tom yum soup did not have a pleasant odor. The fresh rolls, while tasty, were also incredibly small for $8.
Disappointing. Appetizers were tiny, but prices did not reflect that. Look at the pictures of the crab rangoon of how small they are. We ordered to go, so maybe the to go is smaller. The curry dishes were very watery and flavor was lacking. Also, the website promises a discount if you order over $100. They told us we ordered from Google, even though we ordered from their website. I do not recommend this place.
I order on door dash and everything was good. 2 things bother me during my dinner it was the portion of the mango rice was tiny for the price. The second things was that the mango was too ripe (see picture) or not good to serve because under the mango it was very brown ... The other food was good but this nope
The drinks, food and service were excellent, definitely coming back here with my habibi
Flavor is good but the Thai Rama had almost no chicken in it. It’s minced, which is fine, but there’s such a small quantity.
Always enjoy my visits at Thai Select. I've been coming here for years to hang out with friends. The food is delicious, the servive exemplary and pricing very affordable. It's my favorite place for lunch and dinner!
Food was awesome I had the beef stew. And garlic butter wings. Server was attentive and the place was quiet and clean
The service and food is amazing. I recomm d drunken noodles, the owner is soooo nice! Let us come in and made a wonderful experience for us. Please come eat here, you will be satisfied!
There was very little meat in the minced meat plate which is a little confusing considering the name of the item…. The flavor and spice was excellent though!
I got the takeout pad thai and drunken noodles. Both were a little sweet for my taste. Nothing crazy.
Food was great. I ordered for delivery and it was very flavorful! I ordered the Deelish fried lunch and shrimp gyoza! AMAZING
Ordered for pickup so won't rate service or atmosphere. The food was so flavorless. Ordered Pad Thai and Green Curry, both chicken. Pad Thai just tastes like noodles, peanuts and oil. Curry itself has little to no taste and is extremely watery, leaving me to believe it is watered down. Overall, I wouldn't buy this for a homeless guy.
If this is the best Thai food in the DC area, I recommend leaving.
Great deal for restaurant week.
I ordered spicy salmon roll on their kiosk and waited nearly 30 minutes, and instead got tiny maki roll (small one that have seaweed outside) that cut into 6 tiny pieces.
After walking all the way back to show them my order, I was told it’s correct but pictures on their kiosk was wrong. To be exact, he said “oh! Sorry, the order is correct but picture is wrong.” So, beware of dining or ordering from here bc I went in to their ordering app and the incorrect picture is still there.

I got sick last few times I ate here. I liked the food but I tried it again to see if the food poisoning didn’t come from somewhere else. 3 times in a row I got sick. I won’t be going back.
Really tasty curry but the portion is smaller than some other places in the area
I ordered the fresh rolls that came in such a tiny portion for $8. The sauce containers for the fresh rolls and the crab rangoons were less than 1/3 of the way filled. I will say the crab rangoons were delicious, but tiny. The pad Thai had almost no flavor to it. It tasted diluted and the carrots were cut into large pieces that were barely cooked. It was like eating raw carrots. We ended up throwing the entire meal away.

Me senti botada del restaurante y no me gusto lá actitud del mesero. Nunca mas vuelvo.
Very disrespectful. Not worth the time/money.
I was seated in a corner for one. Secondly, the server Pete provided customer with one napkin. I had to prompt the server for more napkins. Pete did not check on table regularly. I was left to defend for myself. The server only came to clean table while occupied and eating. Server never returned to check on me to provide check. I had to ask manager for check who pleasantly printed check. But, after noticing his staff did not work effortlessly to see that the customer was satisfied, the manager had the audacity to question me about how is his server "going to eat." Never should a manager approach a customer with a question like this. If the server Pete had served his customer to earn a tip then it will be gladly provided. Talk to your server not the customer.
Have been coming here since they opened and loved their lunch deal. We enjoy the flavor and feel as though it’s very clean and light. I would recommend the Pad See Ew. Their mild is actually more like a medium to me, so I would recommend asking for less (regular) spice if you can’t handle spice. The dining area expanded and adds a great dining atmosphere.
Blend and fried rice had a weird smell.
Love the food here. It is a regular takeout place for us. Both the Chinese and Thai food dishes are excellent.
They missed spelled my name on the order and my order was incorrect. I ordered drunken noodles, with no spice with chicken. They in turn served me mild drunken noodles mild spice with chicken.
Orange chicken too tough. Ìt was my first time there.😞
Food was terrific and service was even better. Thanks to the restaurant for a lovely experience.
Been coming here for a few years now and they recently expanded the seating into the adjoining space and they did a really good job at it. Happy hour has beers under 5 bucks and the food is slightly below area prices. If you call ahead you can get takeout pretty quick too. Definitely would recommend dinner for families, but there might be a better place in the area to catch a game.
😍😍😍😍
I was a regular take-out customer given their quick orders and decent food but their quality has gone down completely in the past months (probably since they expanded). In my last order, the curry was watered down with barely any flavor, I found a plastic thing in my Pad See Ew, and the sushi was terrible. What a shame that this place is no longer reliable for a decent Thai craving.
I don’t understand how this place has so many positive reviews. I ordered the Pad See Ew with Tofu from Uber Eats. There was not any flavor. It tastes like they just cooked the ingredients without adding any soy sauce or anything. It also had regular broccoli which was off putting. I’ll have to remember not to order here again as this was wholly a waste.
We love Thai food. The pineapple fried rice with chicken and the cashew nut chicken we highly recommend! We will be back!
Drunken noodles have good taste good heat I like that they use tomatoes in there version but the Togo portions are a little small
One of my fav spots! I usually stick with Green Curry but decided to get a poke bowl this time and it was phenomenal. The fish was fresh and had lots of sauce if you got a marinated option. The toppings were also fresh and delicious and the rice is always good. The prices are so reasonable, service is fast, and I always enjoy my meal.
This is going to sound like exaggeration but the food was genuinely some of the most flavorful Thai food I've had in Northern Virginia. They have a combo menu where you can get a smaller portion of two popular dishes - I got drunken noodles and panang curry. I wish more places did this - I'm normally conflicted between the two. Service was lightning quick too. Would recommend highly.
Every time I order their gluten free dishes on Uber Eats I select the tab for Mild on each dish- clearly stated on the order receipt - every single time I get extra spicey-hot dishes delivered to me. Management needs to fix this and make sure the cooks know mild is on there for a reason. Thanks for a third ruined meal. I like you have gluten freee - but done.
It is a nice and compact store. Good food, quick and efficient service, nice ambience.
I order on door dash and everything was good. 2 things bother me during my dinner it was the portion of the mango rice was tiny for the price. The second things was that the mango was too ripe (see picture) or not good to serve because under the mango it was very brown ... The other food was good but this nope
I ordered online crab meat fried rice for pick up and not good at all they just put 3 small pieces of crab meat on top and that’s it and the rice was not even good 😤
Great Thai food with a vast menu. Poké is good too.
Excellent food and quick service. Love to see some additions to the fried rice section!
Penang was a bit salty and bland flavor. Shrimp was over cooked.
Mango Sticky rice was ok!
We decided to try to this place just to be cute. We wanted to try a different Thai spot from our usual place just to see what else is out there.
Not sure if I would order from here again.
Rice seems kind of stale. Drunken noodles are decent. Shumai was not good at all. Prob the least desirable item we ordered. The Penang curry is ok as well. It’s not a fantastic meal but a decent meal.
I am a big fan of Thai food and went to this place, expecting some real, genuine Thai as it was recommended by a local. The food is really too mediocre. Ordered combo platter comprising Phad Thai and chicken curry. Phad Thai had too much fish sauce in it, and curry had too much sugar. White rice that came with it was turning quite hard and tasted as if it had been cooked a while ago. I have been to many Thai food joints in various countries, but food here lacks the authentic taste of Thai. Disappointed.
Terrible drunken noodles! Flavorless noodles and tough chicken for $17 was incredibly disappointing. Avoid at all costs!
This was my go to spot but today it was awful. The calamari was $8 and there was maybe 7 pieces in there, the rice was clearly old and cold even though I came 12 minutes after ordering, the pad se ew didn't have any flavor. This place is expensive and not worth you money, I wouldn't come here. Lots of better options. Small portions, big prices, very mediocre food.
Ordered on Ubereats, HORRIBLE FOOD. Pad-se-ew had no flavor whats so ever, just tasted like bland noodles. The spring rolls were tiny and obviously not fresh. Mango sticky rice, they gave me old mangos cuz they’re browning. The sticky rice had coconut milk poured all over it but not mixed in. TERRIBLE NEVER AGAIN. Also, $17 FOR A SMALL BOX?! BYEEE
I'm not sure what I received but the order was for pad se eew. My meal consisted of noodles and chicken sauteed in oil...sauce, the critical part of the dish, none. Not one drop. Leaving the dish bland and flavorless.
My tom ka soup with chicken had decent flavor but someone forgot the chicken.
Perhaps it was just a really bad night in the kitchen, or perhaps they figured if it's delivery we can't send it back to the kitchen. We won't be ordering from here again.
Food is always solid. No complaints. I wish the portions were bigger for the price. Always professional people and no problems.
First time trying takeout from this place. I think they forgot to add sauce when they sautéed it. I thought maybe they skimped on the sauce, but no there’s not a drop of salt. Just sautéed noodle and chicken. Had to sautee this myself with some soy sauce. They gave free spring rolls with my order but the spring rolls were also flavorless.
Waooooh trop cool beau et propre
Good food
The food was good but not very special. The good thing is you can get Thai and Japanese at one place. Also the waiter and the service was good. The atmosphere was good but the bathrooms were dirty.
I ordered curry duck mild and it was super spicy. And the taste was ok.
My family and I went here for lunch last week and had the papaya salad, shittake maki, drunken noodles and mango curry. The food is super fresh and well made, but my only slight complaint is that the drunken noodles tasted different across both orders! The staff is super cognizant of dietary needs and as vegetarians and vegans, we loved that!
The atmosphere was nice and the service wasn’t even the worst but the food was honestly not good. I’ve had microwave chicken and broccoli and grocery store sushi that tasted better. my friends and i took a few bites and then just left bc we genuinely couldn’t finish it. I would try to go somewhere else if you can.
Brought me microwave chicken and soggy food and no help are anything very disappointed.
Very expensive for mediocre takeout food. Spring rolls are small, noodles were soggy and unflavored, and no takeout silverware. Very disappointed for such a costly meal.
They drop your order on the counter instead of handing it to you.
Food is good but these folks are not capable of following instructions on a mobile order. We regularly ask for spicy and if we dont ask in person they always forget to make it hot...
I ordered delivery at work today and I wish I hadn’t. I got sushi, it was decent but for 18 dollars I expected more. I also got orange chicken and calamari, that too was overpriced for a super small portion. I had to eat my food with my fingers because they didn’t give me a fork nor chopsticks. I couldn’t stomach too much of the orange chicken so I just threw it away.
Tasty food at very reasonable prices makes this a great spot in Rosslyn. Has a mix of Thai food, sushi, bento boxes. We’ve gotten a pretty wide range of things and all have been good. The boba tea is also $3.50 during their happy hour, which is from 12-7 on weekends. A great deal, especially because it’s pretty good (I’m no boba specialist but I have tried a fair amount).
My go to Thai spot closest to me. No complaints and I love the pineapple fried rice.
Amazing Thai food!
Very nice little gem! Wonton soup was tasty with extra pork 😋 Drunken noodles spicy and filling! Definitely on my places to eat list!
Decent food but slow service
Food isn't the best thai food ever, very busy take away joint so if you are looking for dinner out atmosphere..this isn't it.
Wanted to like this place. They were so nice to include a garden roll in my order. But it's just legitimately bad food and clearly NOT a Thai restaurant. I ordered the most basic Thai dish - Pad Thai - which even the most americanized Thai restaurants can get right and this was just so gross. It had no fish sauce or tamarind flavor. No salt nothing. And very little veggies. Just dry poorly cooked noodles. And they're charging $15 for this. I'm not sure how anyone is giving this restaurant a decent review.
Update:
Ate there again last week: ordered fried rice, cashew tofu and pad thai, as well as bubble milk tea. Everything was still excellent! Had to wait about 20 minutes for a table to clear for our party of 9. (Went on Saturday afternoon for lunch).

Original review:
Small cozy thai restaurant with reasonable prices and good food! Ordered 3 lunch meals (pad thai, fried rice and garlic beef) for $52. Each lunch meal comes with small soup and choice of spring roll or 2 veggie dumplings. Would recommend! Fast and courteous service
Modest place with Plenty vegetarian options.
I ordered Drunken Noodle and garlic beef. It was nasty both of them. Over cooked watery pasta and dry rice . No flavor no salt nothing good taste at all.
I wouldn’t recommend
Delicious
Worst drunken noodles I ever had on my life.
Nice location with friendly service and a decent quick bite or a casual dinner.
Les quantités sont bonnes, mais les plats peuvent être améliorés.
Great food and service. They have high turnover with takeout.
Worst customer service on food deliveries; fail to accommodate special requests even after calling them. Always mess up with the orders and do not follow special instructions.
Another unprofessional restaurant that shows selective signs of being friendly. They are friendly to some and horrible to others. The food is average at best. I believe a lot of people eat here due to the cheap price! Food is not too far from bland.
9/10 recommend. Love their food!
The crab Rangoon and Shrimp pad thai were so delicious. I suggest get mild (spiciness level)for the pad thai.
This place goes so hard. Ironically, I would not personally recommend any of their Thai food (maybe the papaya salad), but their nigiri prices are unmatched and quality is very decent. I hoover up 10-20 of those little guys on the regular.
One of my favorite Thai restaurants in Arlington.
Best Thai food I’ve had in the area. Delivery came very hot and fresh. So many delicious flavors. Noodles in pad seu were incredibly thick. Highly recommend
They make the best bubble tea.
Great poke bowl.
Authentic Thai food. Very good. Don't sit too close to the rear of the restaurant; you'll be bumped and jostled by people picking up their carryout.
SMH they gave me a hard time when picking up my order. I wonder why they never add plasticware. Basic flavored food. Nothing fancy about it!
Nice, quiet place with quick service and tasty dishes. Their curry noodle dishes are a highlight.
I ordered takeout and my order was done very quickly. Food was good, I enjoyed the pad Thai and panang curry. I would skip the Thai select wings next time because they were a little dry and some wings were tiny.
Average Thai food but a decent option if you want something quick.
I think I have given them this rating primarily as I had asked for Thai hot but when they brought the food it was at best not even American hot! That only after I added some spice/chilli' powder to it. Disappointed at that; well that and that spice tray had to be asked for. Portion size was on the small side so don't go hungry. And, do NOT order the calamari unless you like chewing on rubber bands!
I feel that when I go to the effort to ask for a certain level of spiciness (which was not even initially asked for) and brought out it is not even close to what I asked for that I just don't matter to them. Not my business, my money, or my recommendations.
Bottom line? I will not be returning to this restaurant for most any reason that I can think of. Hope your luck (and selection) is better. Oh, BTW, my dinning companion had pretty much the same thoughts as I.
Lastly, although we had left that calamari untouched after the initial taste, we were not asked about nor were we offered any substitute in its place (nor refund). Hmm
Chef doesn’t know the spice levels. Burning me for what. :(
After moving back from Thailand in august 2021 I struggled to find that authentic Thai cuisine. After a few months of searching I found it here at Thai select. The staff is always so nice and friendly. You can tell how delicious this place is by the constant flow in and out of door dash drivers. Easily my favorite spot to go eat out by myself in Arlington.
Great food. Not big on ambience and serving... But the quality of of food greatly makes up for everything else
Very mediocre food. The pad see ew was very disappointing.
Love the pineapple fried rice and the curry!
Ordered online at 9:37PM and food was picked up at 9:50PM so pretty quick and also nice that they made the food still when they closed at 10PM. I got pad se eew for 15$ which I think is a pretty good price for the location. Food was good. Just need to double check if they added utensils.
Best Thai in northern Virginia. Go with the red curry or basil eggplant
First time getting Thai food here and I was beyond impressed. The lunch portion was the perfect amount and the extra care they took to cut a vent into the crab rangoon container, so they don't get soggy, was unexpected, but really shows they care about quality!
Don't let the negative reviews sway you, the food was fantastic! Definitely my new go-to Thai food restaurant!
Thank you, Thai Select!
Haben im Restaurant gegessen. Sehr gut und günstig. Etwas unruhig, weil viel Take away durch den Laden geht.
Pretty lackluster Thai food that was soggy and kind of bland. The size of the menu should have been a warning of the quality I guess.
Unfortunately, not as described in the menu and overpriced for the ingredients. I had a mango curry and there was no fresh mango, no eggplant, no bamboo sprouts and no thai basil. Also the Tofu option had only 4 pieces of Tofu. Very cheap content and not worth the price. Also the restaurant should label dishes that contain peanuts.
Great Thai food.
Nice food but no parking. Imagine picking up your order and getting out to find your car gone in under a minute. The management need to find a better solution for this
First time checking out this place. It’s basically everything Asian regarding cuisine- Thai, Japanese, and Chinese food. So you can get curry, sushi or American Chinese- general Tao’s chicken. I get it they have adapted to the reality of the area. Food was tasty. I had a Thai noodle dish. It was mild in flavor which was my preference. Not a fan of spicy but my boyfriend had a spicy curry. Oh, they have non-dairy bubble teas too! Service- friendly, professional and pleasant. Decor- it was really nice inside with the flowers and food photos. It was whimsical actually. Bathroom - clean and organized. Overall, I would recommend this place at least for the Thai food.
Good food.
Takeout is delicious and lunch deals are great!
When walking in at lunch, they ask if you want lunch plate or dinner plate, they claim dinner plate is bigger than lunch plate, but they are the same. Dinner is more expensive, I just got a chicken pad thai and a tea for $22. Compared to other local Thai restaurants, this is just for cash grab.
Love excellent work
Good food!
great poke bowls and curry :)
Food tastes great but you dont get enough for the price. This Cashew Stirfry hardly had any cashews in it, came with a small thing of rice and was $16 :/
I do prefer their fried tofu over others. Theirs is juicy on the inside and not dried out. Their summer roles are divine.
Food wasn't bad, but I actually ordered from Yin Soups and I expected the portions to be larger because the price is so high. $15.99 for Wonton Soup should be a large portion! But it turns out Yin Soups doesn't exist anywhere, except on Doordash and it's actually just Thai Select charging me $15.99 and giving me the same Wonton Soup they charge $8.00 for. They outright deceived me! It wouldn't be a big deal if they charged the same price and were simply trying to reach a new audience, but that's obviously not the case. I won't be ordering from Yin Soups or Thai Select anytime soon.
The Pad Thai is fantastic! I’ve tried a few Thai restaurants in the area and this is by far the best.
The food here was really good, and the price is incredible. Very nice service too.
Our favorite place for takeout! Everything on the menu has been great. I especially enjoy the Poke bowl and the drinks. This is literally the only place we get Chinese, Japanese, and Thai food, and it's all so good.
Delivery was on time and the food was amazing! Will definitely be ordering again!
Our go-to Thai place. Very gluten-free friendly! Love the sushi, pad Thai, drunken noodles, and Thai coffee.
I went here on Valentines day eve and they added a Valentines desert free of charge. The personal touch made my day. This is my go to spot for South Rosslyn east Asian take out.
I went in to order take out on a busy weekend night. They were able to take my order and prepare my food with no issues in under 15 mins while managing many Doordash orders at once. Didnt mess up my order! Impressive!
RECOMMEND!
It was what the kids wanted
Food was absolutely disgusting. Poor food quality and packaging. I honestly felt sick after taking a few bites. I could not eat it.
Really great Thai food! I am always pleased when we order food from here. It has become our go to Thai takeout place in the Arlington area. I have tried a couple different dishes and I liked them all. Try it!
Ordered on Postmates under the name Rice and Roll and it was solidly meh.
Pad See Ew - good noodle texture but a weird, and slightly off-putting molasses flavor (maybe even pancake syrup...) and was quite sweet. Pretty sure it wasn't just palm sugar. It also was very light on gai lan. And didn't have any of the smokey wok flavor. I love a good Pad see ew and would not order that again.
Krapow - This was much better. Nice sauce. Good heat.
Spicy tuna roll - decent but very mushy filling. I know these type of rolls use the scraps but the texture was sort of off-putting. Also, they packed the sushi together with the hot items and by the time it arrived the sushi was hot so I had to let it cool down to room temp before eating.
A final note: this was totally my misunderstanding but useful information for others. On the app, there was a section for BOGO minced chicken and under that you could select various dishes --- pad see ew, pad Thai, krapow, red/green curry. I should have realized that meant that the protein in those dishes was ground chicken but I didn't. I didn't hate it necessarily but it was kind of disappointing.
