Love this place, please eat here ,food is great .family owned very nice people .I wanted to add. What this place my lack in atmosphere they make up with in quality food and price.I'd rather eat at an ok looking place that has great food. Than an expensive place with ok food

Diner Review №3

Disappointed with my visit to Nai. Service was nonexistent—no water, no menu (had to grab one myself), and my fresh spring rolls never arrived. The waitress never checked on me, and the food was bland. Definitely not worth the experience.

Diner Review №4

Authentic taste. Friendly burmese owner.

Diner Review №5

The pad Thai is great. Solid portion size and good spice.

Diner Review №6

I went here thinking it was boba tea world in a random thai restaurant... and it was? Idek

The drink was nice though! Though they didn't have many flavour options available. The lady was sweet too

Diner Review №7

amazing shrimp udon, the waitress is very nice

Diner Review №8

We had an amazing pre-theater dinner at Nai Restaurant before seeing a holiday show at Alleyway Theater.

We made reservations, and our table was waiting for us when we arrived.

The selection of Thai, Burmese, and Japanese entrees - including bubble tea - and appetizers is vast!

We tried a mix of appetizers including the vegetable samosas and edamame. Our entrees included red curry, pad thai, and homestyle chicken curry.

The food came out piping hot and was cooked to our exact spice-level requests, which was awesome.

All of the food was very flavorful, fresh, and very well cooked and prepared.

We also tried lychee bubble tea with tapioca and a thai iced tea. They were great!

This is a hidden gem at the end of Main Street and you should add it to your pre-downtown event rotation. It’s close to the arena, the theatre district, the comedy club, the casino, and the convention center.

They also offer takeout through DoorDash and Square.

Highly recommend! 5/5

The service is great. It gets pretty busy around lunch so be prepared to wait.

Homestyle beef curry and milk tea were really great!

Diner Review №17

Very disappointing and distasteful. Got the green papaya salad. It was very smelly and not appetizing. The menu didn’t state that it had fish sauce in it. The chicken fried rice also smelled bad and I found hair in my food. It smelled like old food mixed in with like juices of garbage. rakhapura Was very good but this new business not so much, I was disappointed.

Diner Review №19

Very nice people and even better food.
Well worth coming to visit

Diner Review №20

Family run restaurant with good service and tasty food

Diner Review №21

Good food
Excellent service
Pad kra Pao and pad see ew was great

Diner Review №22

Food is very good. Price is also reasonable

Diner Review №23

Great food!!!

Diner Review №24

This place is delicious!!! Some of the best Burmese food I’ve ever had!!!

Diner Review №25

Food was absolutely delicious! Great portion sizes at a low price! Very convenient and walkable location!

Diner Review №26

With a 4.6 rating on Google we expected a delicious meal but we were very disappointed. While the waitress was very nice and welcoming, we didn't find the food satisfying at all. The papaya salad was just okay and the other two dishes tasted bad to us (although the four shrimp in one of the dishes were tasty). Other people rave about the food so maybe we just didn't pick good choices??

Diner Review №27

Very good place food taste like home made food really delicious and I would recomand this to my family and friends
I love the place

Diner Review №28

So delicious will definatley return.

Diner Review №29

Diner Review №30

Delicious Banh Mi and Vermicelli Noodles 😋

Diner Review №31

Ok, but nothing to write home about. Got the hibachi chicken. Looked nice, but not a whole lot of flavor and meat was a bit dry/tough. I'd go back to try something completely different, but this one was a little disappointing.

Diner Review №32

Stopped in for a Monday lunch while waiting for the eclipse at the ballpark. Their Thai noodle soup was just like phó and was amazing! Their chili crisp spice was a nice addition to the beef, and their shrimp were huge!

Diner Review №33

This place doesn’t miss. Customer service is amazing, portions sizes are perfect, price is fair, and the food is amazingggg!!!

Diner Review №34

This place used to be called Rakhapura — as far as I am aware it is the same owners, it has just been renamed.

That being said, their food is amazing — from the sushi to their soups. Very quick service if you’re looking to sit down during your lunch break downtown; if not their pick-up is usually 15 minutes or so — still fairly quick considering all the sides they give you for soups — it’s basically a “make your own” kind of soup, which is amazing as you can control how much spice you’d like to add to it.

Would 100% recommend!

Diner Review №38

I love their Green Curry 👌

Diner Review №39

Excellent multi cultural cuisine. Especially love the green and red curry dishes. Samosas, dumplings, all good. Really like the spicy fried vermicelli. My go to place for lunch in downtown buffalo.

Diner Review №40

Diner Review №41

Dined in, order was took fast and food was delicious!

Diner Review №42

Interesting menu with Burmese, Thai and Japanese offerings.
One suggestion for improvement- drinks were served in plastic and styrofoam, location and clientele deserve better.
I had a soup with vermicelli, vegetarian, excellent.
Service was great. Place is new at time of this review.

Diner Review №43

Just a note that my review was for Rakhapura. I haven't been under the new owners.

I had the tofu salad and the garden veggie roll. Hostess was super helpful with my questions about the menu. Everything was delicious but the tofu salad was out of this world!

Diner Review №44

Place was pretty good food-wise. Over priced for the portions they give you — ordered Red Beef Curry and had about 5 pieces of beef in the whole thing for $16…overall it’s an OK place if you’re downtown in your office with limited options. Wouldn’t recommend if you have options.

When they were Rakhapura they were much better…shame. Wont be back.

Diner Review №45

----Sadly posting an edit to my below review. Since the rebrand, the (online ordering at least) menu has dwindled with options and I feel like every time I try and go back, what I got last time isn't there anymore. My go-to's aren't on the menu anymore and I agree with the other reviews on quantity/quality for price. I miss Rakhapura!

----------
I ALWAYS order lunch from here! The sushi is good and the bubble tea is good too, but the Pad Thai is above and beyond. I've often requested minor changes online and they always accommodate. They put raw bean sprouts on top of the Pad Thai and I'm not a big fan of them raw, so I asked for them cooked in with the Pad Thai itself. They didn't hesitate and it was GREAT. Highly recommend everything about this place!!!!

Diner Review №46

The experience we had a few weeks ago didn’t come close to the reviews. I was not impressed at all.

Diner Review №47

I really like the boba here. Affordable price and decent size for a regular

Diner Review №48

My recent visit to Rakhapura & Nai Restaurant left me thoroughly impressed. The sushi they served was undeniably good – fresh, expertly prepared, and bursting with flavor. The quality of their sushi truly stood out and left me craving for more.

Equally impressive was the excellent service provided by the staff. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was exceptional. From recommendations to timely refills, they were on top of their game.

I wholeheartedly recommend Rakhapura & Nai Restaurant to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience. Whether you're a sushi enthusiast or simply seeking great service, this place won't disappoint. It's a gem worth discovering and revisiting.

Diner Review №49

My goodness! What a gem. I got lunch here for the first time a couple of weeks ago and have been going back a couple of times per week since. I typically get the Shan noodle salad with curry chicken which is a riot of flavor. The menu has a ton of other Burmese specialties and I’m excited to try as many of them as I can.

Highly recommend! We’re so fortunate to have this vibrant Burmese community in Western New York

Diner Review №50

I second Shabhia A's recent review of Nai. I was a huge fan of Rakhapura and really though their food was some of the best you could find in Buffalo. The two times I've ordered after the sale and rebrand I've been horribly disappointed. The food is bland and lacking in anything positive. I'm sorry to say I won't be going back, but I will try to find out if the Rakhapura staff is working somewhere else. Really a sad turn of events.

Diner Review №51

Rakapura food tasted very good but I ordered the same item from Nai and the food quantity and taste significantly declined. I asked for my dish to be extra spicy and it was not spicy at all. Sad to see the quality of the food decline.

Diner Review №52

Delicious food, we ordered the spicy tuna roll, lo mein, and pad see ew. All three were delicious. If you like spicy go ahead and order spicy the medium wasn't that hot. The service was a little slow.

Diner Review №53

Incredible food. Very friendly staff. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

Diner Review №54

Diner Review №55

First time here. The food was 😋. I ordered a squid salad and they were out of it. They made me an octopus salad that was out of this world! Hope I can order that again. The rest of our order was delicious too! 🔥

Diner Review №56

Dziś miałem okazję odwiedzić tą restauracje, muszę przyznać, że zostałem mile zaskoczony tą restauracją. Chicken noodle salad, po prostu niebo w gębie. I gorąco polecam Thai Tea,coś fantastycznego. Nie ma skali by opisać walory smakowe. Gorąco polecam

Diner Review №57

Diner Review №68

They have the best pad Thai there!

Diner Review №69

Delicious food, and excellent customer service. I would recommend, 5/5.

Diner Review №70

The food at Rakhapura is WONDERFUL! I highly recommend everything, especially the soup and the rice noodle dishes. YUM.

Diner Review №71

Thai food and sushi cooked by a welcoming family. Tasted so fresh, it was some of the best Thai food I have had anywhere. I will go back.

Diner Review №72

Sushi is amazing

Diner Review №73

Delicious food and excellent service.

Diner Review №74

This place is amazing! We ordered 6 different things and they were all fantastic.

Diner Review №75

Diner Review №76

My coworker and I stopped in at Rakhapura because we're not from Buffalo and we're used to having restaurants like Rakhapura in abundance where we're located (Buffalo is sparse).

We were extremely impressed with the presentation and quality of the food. The rice was perfect, and the tea was excellent. I had Pad Kra Pao with Chicken and it was fantastic! The vegetables were fresh, the sauce was flavorful and aromatic, and the chicken was tender. My coworker went with the staple Pad Thai and he was elated with his as well. Next time I'm out here for business I'll be stopping back in. :)

Diner Review №82

delicious and cheap food, i love it. went there today with friends and will definitely go again. workers were super friendly and food came very fast, they even have delicious large boba with extra pearls for 4$!

Diner Review №83

Food is great. Bubble tea is great. And it's for a great price. This place is a no brainer if you are downtown and don't want bar food.

Diner Review №84

Very tasty and fresh! Can’t wait to try some of their noodle dishes

Inside is very neat and clean, staff was also very kind

Diner Review №85

Delicious and affordable!

Diner Review №86

The food was delicious . The people who run this restaurant were so attentive and humble that it was a pleasure dinning there.

Diner Review №87

The bubble tea is sooo good! And the food is even better. I had such a great experience here and I will absolutely go back

Diner Review №88

This was my favorite place in West side bazaar and Yellow noodle salad was always my go-to and that has not changed till date. I am so happy for the Burmese family that could expand into their own restaurant in downtown Buffalo. I am slightly ashamed that I have delayed writing this place a review for so long when I've already visited the place at least 5 times. The quality was consistent every time I've been and you bet I ordered yellow noodle salad every time I've been there. I'm a vegetarian so they kindly remove the meat part in the dish and serve it with sliced egg instead. It has a very unique flavor that's unlike any Indian or Burmese food I've had that keeps me coming back. It's redundant to mention that it's absolutely delicious!

They actually have a decent space in downtown Buffalo where large parties can easily dine. Their menu is extensive from sushi to noodles to rice and everything my friends have ever tried has been great too (fried yellow noodle, seaweed salad, pad see u). The family that runs this are very sweet and accommodating if you have dietary restrictions. Even though this place is a lot further away from my office than some of the other places, I make a point of going there at least once a month. I cannot recommend this place more. It delivers authentic food at a very reasonable price in a central location.

Diner Review №89

Flavorful and amazing cuisine

Diner Review №90

I have enjoyed everything that I've had there, albeit I have had a limited number of items there because I enjoy them quite a bit. I have found that an order of fresh spring rolls and samosas make for a delicious and filling lunch. The samosas are prepared differently than others that I have had from other places. They are light and flaky and wonderful. The pad thai is tasty, and I'll bet is even better if eaten on premises. Some day I'll have to try dining in.

Diner Review №91

Went twice and got the sushi and the boba tea and everything was delicious. Highly recommend. Clean restaurant, great prices and friendly staff. Highly recommend the Strawberry with the mango boba balls

Diner Review №92

Ordered the chicken curry Thai hot and it was delicious! Great flavor and very spicy. Highly recommend!

Diner Review №93

I ordered food for takeout for me and my partner and wanted to try a few different things since we’ve never been here before. We ordered the Garlic Noodle, Shan Noodle, Tempura Shrimp Roll, and Samosas. Everything we tried was delicious with my stand out favorite being the Shan noodle. Don't even know how to really describe the flavors, but it was so good! The portions didn’t seem as big as I expected looking at the size of the containers they came in but actually were very a perfect portion once plated. Saw way I felt about how dry the meals looks in the container (see pics), but once you stir it up its much saucy enough. The tempura roll was good and definitely would recommend the samosas too.

Diner Review №95

Sat for 30 minutes waiting for my order to be taken...server acknowledged I was ready to order twice, but was distracted by the 3 other tables in the dinning section I was in... I guess he can only handle 4-5 customers at a time.

Diner Review №96

Sat for 20 minutes with the server acknowledging that I was ready to order several times... Still no service, so I went elsewhere for lunch.

Diner Review №97

Good noodle spot for the area. A little greasy, but tasted great and fresh.

Diner Review №98

just moved downtown and was walking around exploring and decided to stop in and try it out.
… wow.. i have ordered at least 5 times in last 3 weeks.. just so perfectly seasoned.. and soo fresh.. lots of veggies/chicken .. my faves are the pad see u and fried rice/vermicelli. cream cheese sushi so yum!!! orders are done super quick and so close to all the new lofts/apartments downtown. i’m in love.

Diner Review №104

Great attention and very good flavor!!

Diner Review №105

The food was great. I had 2 different Sushis. Service was a little slow but small staff and understandable. The interior could use an update, still has columns from old greek restaurant that used to be there. Felt a little dirty ( floor was sticky)

Diner Review №106

Absolutely disgusting food, one bit and every went in the garbage. Awful food, don’t waste your time or money.
Barf 🤢

Diner Review №107

Hidden Jem with delicious cuisine. The staff is always very friendly.

Diner Review №108

It's very delicious. The lady cooks and serves is very efficient, so nice and friendly. Always with smile. After a long road trip and on the way to go home it's much appreciated to met kind people like her.

Diner Review №109

Great food, awesome service. They gave me some of the spicy umami seasoning they put out to take home and I've been shaking it on everything.

Google Maps currently has the wrong location for this place, it's on the Cathedral side of Church St., facing Main St.

Edit: Looks like Google fixed it, it's now showing the correct location. Good work, Google. Get more people in the door!

Loved the sushi. Their rice noodles were yummy! Very nice family owned restaurant.

Diner Review №115

Diner Review №116

Great food , nice atmosphere
Nice fast friendly service
Definitely be back can't wait
Big menu lots to choose from

Diner Review №117

Not for me. The beef was not fresh. It tasted like beef jerky and ruined the Fried Vermicelli. Actually none of the ingredients tasted fresh in this dish. Disappointed. serve fresh meat and seafood. If not available remove it from the menu. Have a week by week menu to accommodate fresh items available if necessary. A little bit fresh is better then a whole lot of offerings that are not fresh. Hopefully the chef will adjust and correct.

Diner Review №118

Delicious.
