Came by to have lunch and was greeted by a very friendly young lady and told I can sit anywhere I wanted. Before she left she asked what I wanted to drink and gave me a menu.
The menu has many choices and I decided on Pad King she asked how spicy I wanted it and we had a discussion on American spicy it Thai spicy. I choose 6 Thai spicy. The food came out fairly quickly and I got white rice with my meal. I think the spice was just more red pepper flakes and not a real Thai spice for heat. But the dish was decent and I got a portion size that was about right for lunch. There were no leftovers which is unusual for me because I normally can’t eat the entire meal.
I think the place although hidden in a corner or a small shopping center had good food and was extremely clean the staff was outstanding.
I have been coming here for years however hadn’t come for a bit. I ordered the same as always a green papaya salad. We did take out. When we got home I noticed it to be about a 1/4 of the size it used to be. 1/2 of it was a few pieces of iceberg lettuce totaling 1/2 a cup at most. The green papaya salad was probably less than a 1 cup of papaya. They charged $14.06. I called and asked when they changed their sizes of which she told me they are new owners in the past year. They are running the business in greed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON NOTHING. I returned the food for a refund. If you need shredded papaya to make your own easy it is only $2.99 lb. Or $1.99 a lb at Rancho Market. So the mark up is way beyond greed. And that is on the high side. After reading other reviews it seems like they have become stingy not caring about their customers. Never again
The container in the picture is a small container maybe 8”x6”.
Looking at the humble outside one might think not worth it a try however; they may not be fancy but they serve great tasting food and have an atmosphere where their customer is the most important thing. The serving sizes are huge and plentiful. Great did. Will definitely be back.
We come here often, so we were surprised when we noticed that our spring rolls had only ONE shrimp per roll. I called to ask how many they put per roll and they said 2-3 depending on the size. Now normally I wouldn’t have called but I was thrown off since the singular shrimp is cut in half to make it seem like there is more. Pretty disappointing and honestly seemed dishonest. I know to many it may not be a big deal but others may think differently, the order is a little over $10. I think the order should have more than 1 shrimp per roll. 4 spring rolls per order. The food is delicious we love it but not thrilled about today’s experience
My wife was in the area and was craving some Thai food. She looked up Thai places around the area and this place popped up close by. We ordered papaya salad, chicken larb, Thai basil fried rice, and pad lad na. All of those dishes were delicious! Everything tasted fresh and very flavorful. The service my wife said was good and they were very nice. I definitely will try it again if I'm ever in the area. It's a small shop located in a very small strip mall so you can easily miss it.
We went here during a snow storm for dinner as it was close to our hotel. We were the only customer that night but there were some people doing the pick up order. The guy who served us was very friendly. The food was prepared fresh so it took a while to come out. The portion was very generous that we had to bring some back to our hotel.
- Fresh spring rolls: 4 pieces of big rolls. The vegetable filling was fresh and the peanut sauce was good.
- Egg drop soup: good & simple warm soup on snowy day. The soup wasn't overly salty and lots of egg inside.
- Pad Thai with chicken: it was ok. It didn't taste authentic but it still tasted good (taste on sweeter side). Lots of big chicken pieces.
Delicious food and the service was great!
Very good food, accommodated or large group quickly and efficiently. Highly recommended.
Definitely will be back. We had a group of five. The Red curry and the Tom Kha soup entres were so good. We also tried curry puffs and the wontons with cream cheese. Very good. Thank again.
The foods are very good but it’s a little pricey for the amount of foods received.
In all honesty, Thai Issan makes the absolute best curries around! PHENOMENAL! My wife and i have come here as repeat customers more than any other restaurant. Highly highly highly recommended! I have had all of the curries, and they are all magical!
They were super fast and kind. The food is so good and they gave us Lindor chocolates at the end to celebrate the new year! Very confident that this is a 5 out of 5!
Amazing ladies amazing food, now to go into a food coma ! 😋
One of the best Pad Thai ive ever had! Lina is an amazing server and makes sure that youre happy with your hot and fast meal
Great food, good size portions. Good and nice, quick service.
Pad thai & the curry was great, mango sticky rice delicious!
I buy in doordash and I put no spyce and My food was so spyce! Terrible.😢
Small, family run, great food.
This might be some of the worst Thai in Utah. The curry was too sweet and didn’t look fresh at all. First time in my life that I actually threw the meal away without finishing it.

Might be the best Thai I have ever enjoyed!
Came by to have lunch and was greeted by a very friendly young lady and told I can sit anywhere I wanted. Before she left she asked what I wanted to drink and gave me a menu.

Prior Pad Thai? Amazing! Tonight's rendition? Subpar shrimp, inedible egg and an unbalanced sea of sauce!
This place has the some of the best (if not THE best) this food in the Valley. Everything I’ve tried here is excellent. Always prepared in a timely manner and priced at a reasonable rate.
Super good food for a great price. Cute little tucked away place. I will recommend this place and go again
Looking at the humble outside one might think not worth it a try however; they may not be fancy but they serve great tasting food and have an atmosphere where their customer is the most important thing. The serving sizes are huge and plentiful. Great did. Will definitely be back.
Every time we come here, everything is amazing. From the food to the service. It’s the best Thai place near my house!
Food is high quality and flavorful. Today when I went in for pickup, my food wasn’t quite done and the owner gave me some water! That was nice.
Anyway 10/10
Eaten here twice. Food is so fresh and yummy. Clean. Quiet little restaurant without the annoying loud music that other restaurants have. My favorite Thai in The Salt Lake Valley.
It's so hard to find Basil Fried Rice in Thai restaurants around this area. When I tried it here, it tasted exactly as I remembered back in California which was very delicious and the right flavor. The thai tea was also excellent and the restaurant was pleasant to dine in. I will definitely be coming back again for more as this was just what I was looking for.
Such delicious food! I loved the Pad Ped Noodle. The fresh basil added such a yummy flavor. The yellow curry was also so good. We'll be back!
We come here often, so we were surprised when we noticed that our spring rolls had only ONE shrimp per roll. I called to ask how many they put per roll and they said 2-3 depending on the size. Great massaman curry!
Sooooo goooood! Medium spicy papaya salad made me sweat! Pad se ew also not too salty like other places. Wish it had a tinge more vegetables and less chicken but still very very good. Pricing is also great and affordable. Loved it 😍 Coming back here for sure!
This place was fabulous. Get the Tom Yum Soup. The rest of the food was good, but the Tom Yum soup was amazing and the portion size is huge.
This restaurant is super unassuming and kind of hidden in a plaza but was such a good find. The food was so flavorful and the service was friendly! They need to open another location closer to salt lake !!!
Excellent food. The pad Thai was so flavorful and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. Plump and fresh. Drunken noodle and panang curry were both packed full of fresh veggies. Spice levels were right on. The servers were both very friendly, quick, efficient. Everything was clean and the atmosphere was welcoming.
Food was delicious, service was fast and building was clean! Will definitely eat there again!!!
On a quiet Tuesday we came in with a group of about 40 people and the solitary chef went to work making amazing dishes. She and her children were so friendly and kind and the food was excellent. Curries were spiced appropriately and the drunken noodles were spot on. A wonderful “hole in the wall” Thai restaurant
This is Salt Lake City's hidden gem. It's a nice small restaurant, the food is amazing prepared to order! Large portions, great prices!
Had dinner with my daughter, who's vegan, and her boy friend and it was really good. Fresh and delicious. The green curry was great and so was the yellow. We plan on visiting this local spot again.
Their combination fried rice is good
After they changed the owner. Everything gets worse. I being eating at this place about two years. Miss the old owner. Now the food size is getting smaller. For example the fried rice is half compared with before, and Pho has less meat and noodles. The service is sucks, they never refill my water, and I always have to go up to the front for napkins.
This little shop is absolutely delicious! Best Panang Curry we have had in a really long time. Ped Pad noodle dish with beef was also super delicious. Beef was soft and tasty. Veggies were fresh and so good
The food is good quality and you get a decent amount of food for what you pay for. Medium sized menu but with a good variety of selections. The prices are maybe a what you'd expect. Server is attentive and responsive. A good place. I really hope more people go there so it stays in business.
Top notch curry. Especially for the price! Glad the old couple passed it down. The kids and grandkids are doing great with the place!
Very good.
Their curries, we got massaman and pineapple, are not just tasty, but full of veggies and meat. They didn't skimp. Each had a unique and delicious flavor.
Chicken satay was good, but nothing special.
We also got a dish called Egg Roll Noodles. It was probably our favorite as it was surprisingly good. It has vermicelli noodles in a pho like broth with egg roll pieces and some salad items. Yum.
Do yourself a favor and give this place a try.
Great food for a reasonable price
I've eaten at most of the Thai restaurants in the valley and this one has the best food! The food is authentic and not too sweet, like a lot of other thai restaurants. They're also so great about accommodating my gluten allergy. Their drunken noodles are delicious. I eat here once a week and haven't had any reactions. I love this restaurant and I want them to stay open forever.
Best Thai & Laos food around! Very authentic and recipes passed from generations. It's like somebody cooked up mom's dishes from home. Very delicious!!! %100 recommend to everyone!
I do not typically leave reviews but the food and service here were both so exceptional that I feel the need to post something. If I lived in Salt Lake, this is where I would send everyone for Thai food. Every dish was fresh and fantastic. The service was friendly, very honest, and very helpful. I will be coming back here every time I’m in town.
Hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Great price, excellent portions, and the food was fantastic. Will be going back next time I’m in Utah. If you’re a local you should make this a regular stop.
Fast and friendly service! And the massaman curry is so good!
New owners, great service, reasonable prices and Good food!
Food and staff are amazing. Been a few years but the owner still remembered me and my usual order.
THE BEST THAI IN UTAH! Been coming here for years! Such great quality food and flavor. My personal favorite is the Massaman but everything is delicious. The people are so nice. They recently changed the container size and wish they had kept it the same, but still the best.
It's rare that I post a 5-star review without multiple visits to a restaurant, but I had such an enjoyable time at Thai Issan that I had to post one. The restaurant itself feels very authentic and inviting. The service we experienced was friendly, but not overbearing. Our food came out quickly, and it was obvious that it was freshly made. I had the yellow curry (recommendation from other reviews), and it was absolutely divine. I would highly recommend stopping here for a delicious meal. I know I'll be back again soon!
I love Thai food! I had the yellow curry (with chicken) and spring rolls. The vegetables were so fresh, it was all delicious, and the service was amazing. We will definitely be coming back!
Called ahead 2 days in a row the curry so good. Second time was a longer wait, but they were busier. They forgot the spice one one, but the food is still great. The "spicey" is at best a medium, very Americanized and the pad Thai was not my favorite . But it's clean and staff very nice and you wont be sad with the curry or spring rolls
My favorite restaurant! The yellow curry is perfect.
The food was really good. I had a curry with medium spice and it wasn't too hot. The service was fine. Only one person working the front end and he was doing well. It wasn't very busy on a weekday lunch.
Update:
They are under new management now. Prices have gone up, selection has gone down, and the staff gives off a vibe like they don't actually want to be there. The food is still perfectly good, but I feel like the curry has lost some of its magic. Not bad, but less magical. Pity.

Original review:
Lots of great options here. The egg rolls, curry, beef with broccoli, and wonton soup were all very good. They also have phở that isn't bad but it's not my favorite place for phở. The server is very friendly and likes to joke around with the patrons. We've been here twice so far and will happily be back again soon.
Such a disappointment. We were craving Thai food, and believing the 4.8 star review, decided to stop for dinner on our way home from Moab. After dinner, I was moved to apologize to my wife for taking her here. Meals simply lacked the delicious and complex flavor and spice one would expect from a typical Thai restaurant. The soup and curry were way over sweetened as I assume other dishes must be. Not what we were hoping for, but apparently a local favorite?
The best Thai Food in Utah.
The original owner retired I learned and the grandkids took over. This was our favorite Thai food place in the valley. We went there tonight and it was just bad. Food was bland. Seemed like it was out all day and not fresh. So sad.
Fantastic place! Great vibe.
Thai Issan has always been a family staple for us when it comes to comfort food and a delicious meal. The older couple who used to be here have retired, we met the new owners last time and really appreciated their push for truly authentic Thai food.
The Khao Piak is my go-to on a chilly winters day, it has always hit the spot, and it still does.
The new owners really cleaned up where the previous owners didn’t and the space now feels cleaner and more welcoming. I can see how much they care about the customers and to give them the best dining experience.
I’ve loved this place before and still do, I look forward to seeing the positive impacts these guys will make here.
Excellent! Went there after a DMV appointment down the street, based on a Google search and reviews. We had spring rolls, Tom Kha Gai and Pad Khee Mao. All delicious. Relaxed friendly atmosphere. Definitely worth the drive if you're not in Taylorsville. Warning: generous portions, come hungry!
Love the food, I return every year, & the flavor is always there. It never changes.
I really liked the food, service, and environment. I felt it was a very good value as well
I always get the curry or 🍜 it was delicious!
We have gone here more than a handful of times. It use to be one of our top five places that were our go-to’s however with that said I hope to only give feedback that can help the place thrive and improve. The flavors are all there and really good what has been unfortunate lately is the food temperatures. We really wish they were hotter. It has been two times now that we have noticed the chicken or meat being warm at best, fully cooked yes but not quite hot. The iced coffee has become truly overpowering in sweetness overload. Hopefully they can take these critiques and improve. The younger staff is nice and the owners definitely have a unique personality with Momma bear being a bit spicy, we enjoy the husbands commentary he’s a jokester that likes to make ya smile.
I have been everywhere in Salt Lake, and this is definitely top 5 for sure. The flavor is such a simple dish is hard to find. i usually buy fried rice and"fix it" at home. This rice left me craving more, and no extra seasoning was needed. Packed with flavor down to the last grain of rice incredible. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu.
Thai Issan is my favorite Thai restaurant in Utah. I loved the Pad Thai and Yellow Curry. The staff was friendly and added to the overall enjoyment of my meal. This place is a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic Thai cuisine.
This is a quiet little restaurant with excellent food and prices are very low! We just got back from Thailand, and this food tasted just like what we ate there. So delicious and fresh!
this is something I've been searching for for a while the absolute best thai food I've had for a while tom yum is my go to and it is sooooo good not to mention the other stuff I tried was absolute fire thank you guys so much
Me encanta la comida es deliciosa !!
Amazing food and customer service! Highly recommend people to come check it out. Friendly faces and bomb food
This place is so yummy! I went to the restaurant when the previous owners were still there but they recently had a change in ownership, so I was nervous it wasn’t gonna be the same. However they have exceeded my expectations. The food is still amazing and the staff is so friendly! This place is a 10/10 in my opinion.
Wonderful food and homey atmosphere! The new owners are so kind and went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. So much attention to detail with food presentation and the person who cooked our food even came out to greet us! Will be returning ASAP!
I walked in and Chloe welcomed me with the biggest smile! She recommend their chicken pad Thai and I can’t thank her enough! This pad Thai is the best I’ve tasted in Utah and I’ve been to a lot! I can’t forget about China’s outstanding service making sure our food is looking good and tasty! The picture says it all! 10/10 would recommend coming here again!
Sooo good! We had take out but the flavor was amazing! This is our new favorite Thai place. Loved it!!!
Best Tom Yum in town! Their curry selection is also worth a visit multiple times just to try all of their delicious choices. And of course, the Pad Thai is never a miss! The staff are extremely friendly and professional. If you're looking for authentic Thai food then this is the place!
Massaman curry was full of flavors and very tasty! Great friendly staff.
Tasty food, excellent service!
This is the real deal. My Pad See Ew dish was fantastic. Fresh noodles, fresh vegetables, tasty sauce. And the service was also great.
Absolutely delicious food! I got veggie Pad Siew and it's the best noodle dish I've ever had. The service was prompt and very friendly. Food was prepared very quickly and served hot! I really like that they put the dish with spice powder on the table so you can add just the amount you want. No need to worry about ordering too spicy food! Super friendly staff. They gave us recomendations on what to order next time. This will be my go-to place for Thai food!
Had the best experience at Thai Issan. Delicious food, quick & friendly service, and an altogether great time. Would highly recommend trying them out, I will definitely be coming back!
I love this restaurant and look forward to coming here every time I’m in Utah! I had the panang curry tonight and the flavor was perfect- spicy and rich!! We also had sweet and sour chicken and pad Thai. The pad Thai was unique with a smoky flavor. I usually have the Khaopiek- so tasty and the best for cold weather. Can’t wait to try more of the food here. The service is fast and friendly and the owners do a great job making this a welcoming, warm place.
Everything we've tried from here is amazing! The food is so flavorful compared to anywhere else I've tried in the entire state. I recommend them to absolutely everyone!
There aren’t very many mom & pops around theses days that run there own place.
This place has been here for 9 years according to the owners. Run by the owners they seat you, take your order and mom does all the cooking. This is a hidden surprise if you’re looking for a five star restaurant this place is not for you.
The deep fried egg rolls were crispy and very tasty pineappleas and massuman curry were also tasty dishes. We will be back to try there many other dishes. Owners are down to earth who should have retired years ago but has decided to work because according to them it keeps them young. They may be a little rough around the edges but they will do there best to serve you the best Thai dishes in the valley. Try them you won’t be disappointed.
The yellow curry was really good. The pad thai not the best I had but okay. I ordered egg rolls and the lady brought out spring rolls I told her I ordered egg rolls she took them back and the lady in the back cooking sounded upset. When the egg rolls finally came out I found some meat that looked raw. When I told the lady she took the plate back and the old lady came out. She started yelling about how that's how they cook them, that it's not raw. I explained to her it's pork and it needs to be cooked all the way and I didn't want to get sick. She got even louder and said well I just won't charge you and you don't have to eat them. That's fair but she didn't have to get upset over something that's there fault. I feel sorry for the waitress because she was doing everything right and still was getting yelled at. It honestly ruined the whole meal I wanted to get up and leave but just wanted to be honest and pay for the food I ate. I will never return after this incident that sucks because the curry was really good.
We came here on our way to a concert at Usana. It doesn't look like much from the outside, just a small store in a strip mall. The inside was decorated very nicely. The man who served us was very nice and welcoming. My husband got the Massaman Curry, and I got the Pad Hong Tay. The Curry was really yummy, and all the flavors worked really well together. The Pad was very unique, with thin noodles rolled up like taquitos. The egg rolls were also some of the best.
Server/owner was nice and funny.
Good was good, came out hot. Not the best Thai I've had, but good.
i ordered takeout over the phone, the person who took my order seemed a little irritated. the restaurant itself is really cute & the person who grabbed my order was very nice. the food is AMAZING. i will definitely be back. the service was super fast, my food was ready in about 10-15 mins.
This is the perfect little hole in the wall! Great food! I’ll definitely be back next time I’m visiting slc.
Massaman Curry was especially delicious!! It was our first time trying this place and we’ll definitely be going back!
Authentic thai
Totally UNauthentic Thai food. I didn’t taste any nam pla (aka fish sauce, a hallmark of Thai cuisine), didn’t have any peanuts (another hallmark), or have any bean sprouts. I didn’t like what I ordered which were the Pad Thai, ham fried rice with egg, and egg rolls. Instead of sweet chili sauce, I got ketchup with extra sugar a some spiciness for my bland egg rolls. The shell was not good quality because they had lots of bubbles on them, if you look closely. Egg rolls with smooth exteriors is a sign of good quality. Rice tasted like it was flavored with soy sauce and sugar. If you like highly Americanized Thai food, then this restaurant is for you. Don’t expect authenticity. Service was fast. Food was ready when I arrived which was 10 minutes before it was scheduled to be picked up. Service was pleasant.
Kindest service and the best Thai food in SLC. It feels like youbwere invited into somones personal home and feed food from the heart.
Really amazing food and such sweet folks! Would definitely recommend!
First time here and I can't wait to come back. I am greatful for this place and the people who keep it up and running. Delicious food.
Very good food and friendly people! The yellow curry is great!
I love this place. They have the best Pad Thai I've ever had. The owner is super cool and really nice.
Don't let the location fool you. Quality food.
My favorite restaurant in Salt Lake City. I love the owners, super nice!
I didn’t like your food,
This is my 2nd time eating here and it won't be the last! Today I had the Red Curry Noodle Soup and it definitely hit the spot on this cold day! If you haven't tried this place-do it now! Honestly the best Thai food I've had in the state! The fried egg rolls are also worth trying!
Amazing Panang chicken curry!!!! I knew it was good food when a bunch of cops were eating there!! Man is very nice (owner?) at cash register. Funny and giving— gave me 2 pot stickers w/ my rice! I’ll definitely be back!! I go to SLCC for school 2 days a week so I’ll try and come when in town!
It's a hole in the wall in an unremarkable strip mall. That's how you know it's going to be high-quality authentic ethnic food! And it's among the best in the valley. Would pit it against any Thai in the valley.
This is my and the organization I work for main go to place for weekly eating. Every item on the menu is amazing and is by far the best Thai restaurant that I have eaten across the nation. I compare every Tom ka gai I eat to there’s to establish a baseline for how well the rest of the meal will be. If you love mom and pop shops that empathize quality of quantity while still providing large quantities of food for a reasonable price this place is your best bet. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
They pretty much made what they wanted to make, not what we ordered. Then they said that was the way they make it, not what the menu said it was. Not impressed. Will not be back.
Great vibe, same people running Thai Issan for several years, serving steamed rice in an authentic aluminum bowl. Menu has plenty of options, including vegan, with however much spice you want. Calling ahead to take out (or eat in) is welcome/convenient.
We went here with my parents, and all of us were very impressed! The server was very attentive and nice. When our toddler decided the food was too spicy, they made him a little bowl of rice and broth (which he loved). My parents regularly eat Thai food at a place near their house, and they said this place was much better! Personally, I had the massaman curry and loved it. My husband got the same thing and also loved it! He also really enjoyed the cream cheese wontons. Friendly staff, good food, and cute venue - will definitely go back!
I eat here often. This place is a hidden jewel. Everything is delicious! Several selections you may not recognize... don't get what you always get. Try something new. Trust me... you won't regret it.
Lots of food. You'll get two or three servings out of this. Well priced.
Cute, friendly little couple that owns and runs this place.
Can't wait to go back again!
Their food's okay but the older lady that works there is extremely rude I haven't came back since
Panang Curry or Pad Thai - Some of the best in the valley!
Great food!
Dated review -2/4/23- Although this restaurant has averaged great and amazing food quality, it is with much disappointment I'm sharing that for the first time from a restaurant in Utah that I have received overt racism in action and in words shared with me here. I was going into the restaurant to order for take out dinner just 2 & 1/2 hours ago. I was first met by an Asian male worker who asked if I was dining in the restaurant or ordering for take out. I told him I was ordering for take out. Then within minutes, a Asian female staff came out to where I was at the desk or cashier area and right away said "If you are ordering out to pick up, you need to go to that area back there and pointed near the door where there was some seats, then go back outside and order online and then wait outside for me to bring your order!" I looked at her and said, What?" Then she walked off. For I had already looked at the website, before going in and there was no ordering online available that is offered . Some caucasian adults seated at the table closest to the cashier area where I was standing overheard the conversation and all had a questioning look on their faces as I looked at them. I said, in a calm voice verbally , "This is wrong ". Then I went to the area near the door entrance and sat for a moment at a stool, contemplating what had just happened. After a brief interaction with a caucasian gentleman, who was sitting with a family member and woman of color, I informed him that I would not eat in an establishment from receiving this treatment. He shared and apologized to me for what I had just experienced. This was the first and final time, I will be in a space/environment that informed me I am not wanted or accepted there.
I never write reviews, but I couldn't ignore what we witnessed on our second visit to this place. Tonight we watched a black woman come in and ask to place a takeout order on her work break; it was humiliating to see how they treated her. After the staff essentially denied her service and retreated to the kitchen for no reason we could ascertain, another customer spoke to her and apologized on their behalf. Disgusting.
So my review?
Racist staff/owners-I guess this place might be good if you're white, but beware if you have any color in your skin, they might deny you service or make you stand outside to "order online"--there's no way to do so--and wait for your food. Would not recommend unless you're ok supporting racists.
We won't be back.
Super delicious food :) love the folks here. Best Thai food in all of Utah!
Great food, lovely staff!
Amazing Thai food and the service was top notch! 👌
My husband and I tried this place for the first time and it was sooo good! My husband ordered the massaman curry which was some of the best we’ve had. And I ordered the beef pho. The fresh spring rolls are also delicious. The owner was super friendly and funny. I highly recommend!
Amazing curry!
Great food! This is our favorite local spot for Thai take-out. Love their curries and dumplings especially.
The yellow chicken curry here is amazing. The customer service is awesome too. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for some Tai food
The green curry is a really weird color that stains the chicken like a chemical green color. Taste ok but worried about what's in this
Nice people, amazing flavors, great experience! The place was quiet while we ate. Just a perfect spot that's close to home!
I'm so sad to make this review because the first time we went here in person and had the house special Kaopiek soup, it was all amazing. I became pregnant and so sick, a nice clear broth soup sounded perfect, so I ordered pick up. When I got home, the soup was the consistency of gloop, like chewy noodles sitting in hair gel and my husband said the pad thai was awful. We called to see if there was something they could do to make the situation better and instead we were told "so what are you going to do about it?" And we told them we couldn't come back, it was too far, we just wanted to let them know (business feedback is usually helpful). And then they put the cook on the phone. We told her the same thing and we were lectured that this was how it was supposed to be. We tried to explain that we had it before and it was NOTHING like this. But we were met with no sympathy, even after driving 20 minutes to pick up and pay for a soup that made me want to puke. Soup should not move like jello, even being piping hot, in any culture. If this is how they wanted their soup presented, then there should be consistency, and usually telling a customer that they are wrong, will turn them away. So sad, because we could have been serious repeat customers, but no more.
I love it!!!! Good food!!!
This is our favorite lunch spot! Drunken noodles with chicken, spice level 2 always hits the spot! The pad thai is really good too! Favorites from my coworkers include all the curries. Fresh ingredients and one entree is enough for two meals! No other Thai place compares with this hidden gem!
Super yummy food. Owner is very cool.
I love the owners and the food, so good:) recommend the pho or khao piak😻
I've been coming here for years. Never been disappointed. My daughter loves the mango sticky rice.
Cashew stir fry = a LOT of FRESH veggies.
Some of the best Curry in Utah. Don't let their location scare you away. The plaza is a bit rundown. The food is worth it. Try spice level 5 if you like heat 🔥
These people are so wonderful! Feels like eating at home.❤️ The food is AMAZING.
I was greeted with a "hello" one of the workers, he seemed to be a friendly person. I ordered the Kaopiek (House special) and it came with beansprouts and Thai bread bites. The soup, to put it simply, felt and tasted like the one my mother used to make for me. The base seemed to be some sort of chicken consomme, with rich, brothy flavor. The udon noodles were soft and starchy, and they went well with the chewy chicken slices. The bowl was about 10' and filled to the brim. This was all $12.99, which is a very reasonable price for what I had.
Absolutely incredible. The curries are to die for. Don't miss out on this mom and pop shop, it's incredible. Every dish has been amazing. Highly recommend the Panang and Massaman curry.
One of the best Thai food restaurants in Salt Lake and I’ve tried many!
Amazing food for great price . Great staff . I eat here all the time. Try it...you won't regret it.
The moment I stepped into Thai Issan, I knew I was in the right place. A place where the food smells as good as it tastes! This was my first time visiting from Connecticut and I must say, I definitely have a new reason to stop by Salt Lake City. Great personalized service as well.
Nice restaurant with good taste of food.Price is reasonable and good portions
Just a small place. The owner will show you plenty of attention and will try to make you enjoy your food. The servings are good sized
My new favorite Thai place!
