Thai classics are turned out of this popular, tiny counter serve with window & sidewalk seating.
I love hole-in-the-wall places and this is definitely one. Very basic and only a couple spots to sit if you’re eating there. They are very nice but the language barrier do t allow for any questions. I ordered the Yellow Curry with dumplings. It was good, but standard fair. Great place to grab lunch in a hurry. If you order to go, careful as the liquid spills out.
No frills, family run, walk in Thai place. We got the chicken pad Thai and the chicken pineapple fried rice and they were delicious! They made our food to order so it was piping hot and the flavor was perfect. The fried rice is a curry base so be prepared for that and the pad Thai is a sweeter sauce which I prefer.
They have a small bar inside and a couple tables outside and the park is across the street.
Super tasty food and for an incredible price!! We got the massaman curry and the pad see ew, they were delightful. The curry had a super flavor, that was our favorite, with loads of veggies and a generous portion of pork! Would absolutely come again. The owners were awesome, I’ve never seen anyone work so quickly and efficiently before. Loved this place
My new favorite Thai place in down! Such a cute little place tucked away near pioneer park. It gives very east coast city/ NYC vibe. You order right where they are cooking and you can literally watch them put the food from the pan into the to go container! So hot, so fresh, so yummy. The workers here are also WORRRKKKING! each time I’ve come by they are so busy. They only have like 3 people working and they still get the food out so fast. The outside dining atmosphere is also super cute. Will definitely be back!
Okay, I’ll say it. Best Thai food in Salt Lake City. I’ve been here many times, Take out and Eaten on their patio, and it’s never once disappointed me. It is a little hole in the wall that has room for maybe 6 people to stand in it so it could easily be missed. I have only ever seen 2 people there running the show (I’m assuming husband and wife but I could be wrong). I love their Pad Seiw, I usually get chicken but sometimes I do shrimp. Both delicious. My wife likes the Pad Thai. Also very good but the Seiw is better. Their Curry Dumplings are drop dead delicious. Perfect taste with a tiny kick of heat. Always apply the chili flakes and lime, it makes it so much better. But if you’re not into heat it is still good without.
I don’t know why you’re still reading this and haven’t gotten any yet.. Go be gone with you! Get some now!
this food is to die for. the pumpkin curry is absolutely delicious with the brown rice! very affordable as well with great drink options
best thai food i’ve found near me, little hole in the wall store. sad they didn’t have nam tok but i understand
Amazing food! authentic and very affordable! $25 will feed you for 3 days

Great take out
Delicious in every way. Get the curry dumplings
The best Thai food I’ve had and affordable with huge portions!
Drunken noodles are my favorite been going here for years the folks that run this place are great! Good price and quick service
Best Thai food in SLC. Hands down. Consistently been good for years
Where do I even start. I come here more than once a week.. Curry dumplings, pad thai, yellow curry, drunken noodles, mango sticky rice, whatever uou order, you can’t go wrong with anything here.
I got the daily special which was chicken yellow curry. I loved it! Great portion size for the price. I liked the taste too
Cozy little Thai street food restaurant. Amazing food for very good prices. Mostly outdoor seating and takeaway.
Fantastic food, fast service, and affordable.
Everything was good and made well. The spice is a little bland for Thai food.
Fast service and incredible food!! Every time we’re in Salt Lake we stop here. The Pad See Ew & Pad Woon Sen dishes are our favorites.
Best Thai food, owners are incredibly nice and the food is delicious, everything is made to order right in front of you, can’t recommend this place enough

Best Thai food in North America
I have been coming here for over a year pretty consistently. I have always loved the variety of food that they have and the excellent surface. I always feel welcomed and I know I'm going to have a good experience every time I come.
Love the food here AND the prices! I will say the pad see ew was no where near as flavorful as the pad kee mao, but for a little over $10 for the flavor and portion size you can't beat it!
By far the BESTTTTT Thai food in Salt Lake. The couple who runs it are so kind and make it right in front of you. It is also so reasonably price, I cannot recommend enough.
Best curry I’ve had in the states. The perfect fast and hot comfort food. Their curry dumplings are too good to be true.
I love hole in the wall shops and this fit that vibe perfectly. I got the chicken pad Thai for me and fiancé and it. Was. Amazing!! Had a great portion size for the price and was so yummy!
Food was ok
Love this spot. Always delicious and fast service!
Love Laan Na! Favorite Thai food in SLC hands down.
I’ve been eating at Laan Na Thai for a long time & the food is pretty tasty, but today I had an experience that ruined everything! I ordered my usual chicken pad thai and halfway through my meal I bit into something with an unusual texture. I spat it out and noticed something horrible - a cockroach in my noodles 🤮 I can’t even begin to explain how sick I felt seeing it. Absolutely disgusting. Brings up questions of how clean the kitchen is & how the food is stored. Sad to say I will never ever ever eat here again or recommend this place to anyone. Be careful ordering food here!
Every day a specific, delicious special, plus fresh, great meals you'd expect from Thai restaurants.
Wednesday is Pineapple Chicken Curry. There is Pumpkin Chicken Curry, tom ka Curry, and so much more.
This place used to be more thoughtful and delicious. Examples of the poor quality of food we received in our order: bland fried rice, not even worth taking home to try to improve soon at home by adding flavor and spice, veggie rolls have nothing of substance in them, and the Pad Se Ew noodles are slimy. And it’s all served up in styrofoam, a profoundly wasteful to-go product, and all the food is takeout!!
Living close to this place is addicting We definitely love this place for take out. Food is really good for a good price. My favorite is the pineapple fried rice with shrimp, cashew chicken and Massaman curry.
best thai food in SLC and so well priced!
Love this place
Food was just ok. Not very flavorful. It was cold. Rice was old. Nothing special.
The interior space was dirty. Outside dinning was pleasant because of good weather.
Great food. Sweet people.
Best chicken Pad Thai and chicken Drunken Noodles I’ve ever had. Definitely a takeout place. Food is cooked fresh in woks right before your eyes. Generous helpings!
My son brought me here it was my first time but he's been here a few.. there is no seating except on the tables out front I imagine they get a lot of takeout business lunch business from being right downtown and by the park. We had the drunken noodles and it was very tasty just make sure you get some Thai chili flakes to top it off!!
Everything was amazing especially the dumplings which are very unique.
Laan Na Thai is a solid choice for Thai food in Salt Lake City. It’s a small, unassuming place near Pioneer Park that could be easy to overlook, but the food is consistently good. The Pad Seiw and Pad Thai are reliable options, and the Curry Dumplings stand out as particularly well done. The food is served quickly, even with a small team running things. If you like a bit of spice, adding chili flakes and lime does the trick. Overall, it's worth a visit if you're in the area.
Best Thai food in Salt Lake City. Specifically my favorite Chicken Pad Thai in Salt Lake but anything I’ve ordered is delicious.
We got the Thai fried rice with beef, drunken noodles with shrimp and tofu, and veggie rolls. Both dishes were very bland with the drunken noodles being the better of the two. The Thai fried rice was terrible - comprised of white rice with bits of onion and rubbery pieces of beef. The veggie rolls were dry and barely warm. I felt reluctant to give this place a bad review given how small it is, but this was some of the worst Thai food I’ve ever had.
This spot is freakin goated. Never experienced placing my order for red curry and having it handed to me before I even paid. Not to mention it was like $7 for a single portion combo which in 2024 I thought was impossible… and the quality of the food was miraculous, insanely flavorful curry. People running this place are sweet too. Go here go here go here go here it’s Thai time.
This is as authentic as you can get for Thai food in America. Inexpensive options for the popular Thai dishes you’ll find in Thailand. Dining in was impossible when we visited in early July when the temps were over 109 degrees and tables and seating were all outdoors so keep that in mind if you go during summer.
Great value and yummy 😋
Whenever I'm in SLC I make sure I stop here for the pad thai. This time I tried the curry dumplings and they were also amazing.
Laan Na is one of my absolute favorite hidden gems downtown! It's a local family-owned business and the food they serve is superb! There's not a lot of indoor seating (though they have a few tables outside with umbrellas for shade), but it is delicious and very affordable.
Hands down one of the best thai food places in town. You will see your food made and serve hot.
One of my favorite spots in town! Good portions!! Good Food!! Good Service!! Has a good vibe too!
My all time favorite Thai restaurant ever in salt lake, yes I tried almost all trendy locations. But Laan Na will always be my favorite, the food are amazing the best Pad Thai and Drunken noodles. The only only downside to the place, is that dine in area is kinda small. But perfect casual spot for some amazing Thai food.
Easily my favorite Thai place in all of Salt Lake County. I almost always get the pad Thai and mango sticky rice.
A hidden gem! Drunken Noodles with chicken was great. Portion size was quite large. Nice little seating area outside.
Very authentic Thai food. Not much indoor seating but they have five or so tables with chairs outside. We ordered the pad siew with tofu and it was delish. Tofu was soft. They have chili flakes so you can add your own heat and the normal dish is very mild. Portions are generous. Would recommend! Total was $11.41.
Great sticky rice and mango. No fresh rolls :/
I walk in and order and I’m served so quickly… everything is so fresh and AMAZING! Seriously my favorite Thai spot no matter where I go. Even out of Utah it’s not as good as them!
Great authentic food!! Good potion sizes too.

Food was amazing, definitely better to carry out, as the space is very limited. Would come back and try more of the food here, everything looked delicious.
Delicious, authentic and super fast! Can’t beat the lunch special prices
Fast, delicious, affordable. Cannot ask for much more!
Not much seating inside, either to go or outside.
I come here often for the drunken noodles. It's the best Thai I've ever had. My order ended up way too spicy tonight, and they were happy to remake it for me. Truly delicious food, but also the nicest workers. Also, I love eating out on the patio.
The food and price is just amazing. The best curry and Thai noodles I had anywhere. Ate here two times during a 3 day visit to Salt Lake City.
Best Thai in SLC
Always the best thai food. Very local vibe. Quick service. Perfect for take out, not so much for dine in unless it’s nice outside. I eat here at least 2/3 times a month consistently. Thanks for always the amazing food over the years !
Not much for seating more of a grab and go place. Had pad Thai and chicken Sautee. Chicken Sautee was decent not my fav. Pad Thai was meh. Lacked depth and good flavor.
Great value for what you get. Super sweet people run it. Authentic. Tasty. Cheap. Pin this spot!
I am always in search of the kind of pad thai I used to get in Dallas. I am usually unimpressed. I think today I found my thai place! I gotta warn you though... this is not a pretty sit down restaurant, this is a "hole in the wall" with seating for 3. The portions were generous. As a small woman, I could only eat half. There were all these yummy fried egg pieces and the tofu was large and velvety soft. Yum! I wish, wish, wish it was closer to me! Sigh. I also got cashew chicken to go. It was yummy too but salty. Thats typical though. Now I wish I had ordered some mango sticky rice. I saw they have chicken satay. There were a lot of items Id like to try. Def going back!
Best pad Thai I’ve ever had!
Best hole in the wall Thai place ever it's 7 dollars for the best massuman you will ever have, you pay get good food and are gone fast
It serves a delicious food. Very small place so to-go would be more convience.
Such a quaint little spot. This is the only place I have found really good drunken noodles since moving to Utah (13 years ago).
Best Thai food in SLC! Awesome atmosphere and quick service!
What the restaurant lacks in seating, it makes up for it in flavor.
The food was AMAZING, and the service was quick. 10/10 would recommend
Walked in, wasn't greeted, because she was too busy on the phone with earbuds. Didn't ask what I wanted, I just told her. Thai fried rice had a few bits of egg, and the only veggie was just a whole bunch of onions. She just plopped it on counter in to go bag and kept chatting on the phone. Terrible customer service and a dish made in a way to clearly cut cost..nope
Best Thai in town. If you’re looking for that one place that’s a hole in the wall find, this is it. Reasonable prices, fresh food, big portions and an entrepreneurial journey that showcases hard work and passion. Big fan.
Very few thai places as good as this exist. If you found this place, consider yourself very lucky. It's a privilege to be served authentic meals by 1st generation immigrants.
Food is great!! Best Thai food in Salt Lake!
This little hole in the wall is a gem! The food is so tasty, they make it fresh and they work quick! I always get the drunken noodles! And it’s always delicious. It’s great for grabbing a delicious quick lunch or dinner, portion sizes are great too.
love this place! The owners work so hard. The food is delicious and it is well priced. Worth trying for lunch or as a great take out option!
I should have known it was going to be good since only 6 people can sit inside the restaurant. I go the veggie drunken noodles and they did not disappoint. I typically like to get the curry when going to new Thai restaurants but I wasn't in the mood for curry dumplings.
If you need a nice Thai fix this is your spot.
I can rate it as the most authentic Thai restaurant I have ever had since I came to U.S.. Taste like I am back to Thailand. Even better than all asian reataurants I have tried during my time in Chicago in the past 3 years.
The store is run by a sweet and friendly Thai couple, small and cozy. No big fancy menu, but they know what they are offering. Highly recommend Pad Thai. Yellow curry chicken is also good.
By far the Best pad Thai in town! Love the couple that runs the restaurant, they work hard and are kind. It is as authentic as it gets! Always my go to Thai place!

A let down
The lady cooking is creating art. The food was soooo solid, not greasy, and seasoned just right! Got the Pad Thai with Shrimp, I would skip on the spring rolls, next time.
I cannot rave about this place enough. I got the drunken noodles with chicken and it was to die for! The restaurant is run by a couple and that’s it. They have amazing food. Would not recommend sitting inside and eating (it’s like a sauna in there) but there is outdoor seating available. Great portions and the mango sticky rice was also delicious!
Best Thai place in Salt Lake and surroundings. Authentic food made with love by the Thai couple. All dishes are simply delicious
Ordered the Panang Beef ( chicken) curry but it was sweet and looked unappetizing too. The lady could be more friendly. The place was ok. But it was cheap so it’s all good.
pineapple curry, shrimp/chicken/beef drunken noodle
Mango rice
Downtown Togo places, not my type
I haven’t tried the food yet. I just made a takeout order in the restaurant (after trying to call three times before I arrived) and the employee working there was talking on the phone the entire time. She didn’t really acknowledge me. She seemed annoyed when I said I wanted to order something else. I had ordered two combos, and I also asked for an order of Drunken Noodles and she said they didn’t have any. When I needed to pay, she turned away from me when I scanned my card. It was my first time to the restaurant so I was very disappointed after hearing about how good it is, and reading some of the reviews.
Great value, quick service, and tasty food. It seems pretty authentic too!
I’ve been going to this place for years since i’ve lived in salt lake, I’m thai myself and they do such a great job providing authentic food!! The portions are great for the price and i haven’t found better tasting thai food in utah. The couple that runs this place are so unbelievably sweet and hardworking, i see them working there every day of the week that i’ve visited and no matter how busy they are they are always the sweetest. They deserve the world and i hope they stay open for as long as they allow it !!!
been coming here for years and have never been disappointed
Gone here a few times and have loved it! Their drunken noodles and Beef Pad Thai are so good and they’re big portions too! Parking is a bit difficult depending on the day because it’s right next to pioneer park. The restaurant itself is small so barely any seating but there are plenty of tables outside. They also do takeout over the phone and did my order very quick and like to be efficient so they get you in and out.
All menu items I've had are delicious. This is the smallest, hole in the wall, authentic, Thai place. Love it! 😋
Mom and pop shop that has very authentic great tasting thai food. It felt like i were in Thailand being served by a husband and wife. The food was exceptional and made fresh. 10/10 would recommend!
Delicious take out. Super quick
It is scorching hot inside that tiny kitchen and I can respect the hell out of them for putting out so many orders all day long. Delicious food too. Great job!
Get the curry dumplings, only thing you'll regret is not ordering two orders, even when one is so much food. Best Pad Thai in Utah, and I highly recommend the pineapple fried rice.
Favorite Thai place in SLC hands down. I never write reviews but this place is worth it 10/10
Not that great or friendly
Favorite Thai place in SLC, love their pad thai & Thai teas and recently tried their pad see ew!
Real gem of a place in Salt Lake City. We got take out here and ate every last bit of it. The owners are clearly very good at what they do given the awards on the wall and you know it’s going to be delicious food based on the atmosphere when you walk in. Best Thai food I’ve had in a while!
The Pad See Ew was the best I've ever had. I am part thai and I love food that brings me back! Very authentic and delicious.
It was very hot inside and small, there is outside seating. This place is a hole in the wall and perfect for a quick bite of Thai food. I was not a fan of the Thai tea.
If you're looking for delicious, high quality, authentic thai food, hers is the best you can find. Amazing portions, fast wonderful service and incredible food. Love her. Love her food. Thank you so much!!!
One of the best little hole in the wall restaurants I've been to! The Thai curry was amazing and the prices are unbeatable! They also serve different dishes every day! I will definitely be coming back here!
The best place to have thai in Salt Lake City
Very good food. Would go back and recommend though it may not be my favorite Thai place in Utah. But still would definitely recommend it!
We enjoyed the combo chicken and pork masaman curry for less than $9 and the Thai basil in it was stupendous. The cooks were smiling when we ordered and we could tell that they cared. Although the place was small, we loved the service, the price, how healthy it was, and the chance to eat delicious Thai food outside.
Very authentic. Very tasty. Very friendly.
The food was delicious and quick. They offer a good variety of dishes (but not an overwhelming amount). The Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles were my favorites.
This place always hits the spot. The seasoning from their well-used woks imbues a magical taste that leaves me salivating as I'm writing this review.
Hole in the wall, great prices, fast, and there's pioneer park across the street to enjoy it.
Drunken noodles, pad Thai, and Thai fried rice are my favorites.
The food is always fresh and good! Everytime we are in Salt Lake we make this trip to Laan Na Thai.
Pad Thai is full of flavor and and the Thai tea is perfect! Can’t recommend enough
The food was really good. The inside is tiny so don't plan on eating inside. I was very sceptical when I first walked in, but it was worth risking it. I had the curry chicken, it was amazing!
Really good food for takeout!
Phenomenal
10/10 Thai. Highlyyy recommend.
Fast and easy Thai food. It’s all tasty, and the brown rice is an absolute must. It makes the meal.
I’m a particularly big fan of anything on their daily menu (especially the curries) and the two-item combo. It’s fast, delicious and cheap. The other items — pad Thai, fried rice, those sorts of things — are also incredible, but I’d recommend going for those if it’s not busy.
We eat here weekly, it is one of our favorite places. Never had a bad dish.
One of the most authentic Thai experiences in SLC. Pad thai was actually made the correct way, and wasn't too sweet. Drunken noodles could have been just a little more charred. Curry dumplings were delish . Everything is cooked in a wok, which was refreshing. I'll definitely be back to try the pad see eiw next!
Amazingly delicious and authentic. The service was friendly and fast!
For a life changing experience, try the curry dumplings. You won't regret it.
I’m new to Utah and came here based off recommendation. They were extremely rude to me, completely ignored me while I stood in front of them waiting to order for 5 minutes. Also, the woman cook has no clue of what good customer service is. She rolled her eyes at me for absolutely no reason and seemed to not want to provide me service and had an attitude. I didn’t even do anything besides walk in. I will never come back here again.
I’ve never been excited when someone suggests Thai food. It just happened to be that I hadn’t been to an amazing place like this one! Just beyond amazing!!
Pad Thai is killer. Always love coming here!
I loved this place! To tiny to really eat in store but everything else was great!! Service was great and food was amazing, highly recommend this place!!
Fastest and most delicious Thai food I've ever ordered. Pad Thai is fantastic.
The curry dumplings 💖😭
great food, good prices, but our entire group that ate there got the stomach flu. So possibly a cleanliness problem.
Cute small 6 seater with additional outdoor across from the park. Kind and patient owners as it was hard to choose what to eat. I had the vegetarian green curry noodles-delicious, I ate the entire dish.
My friend ate this as her first Thai Food-lucky duck!
Our office is around the corner, and we get lunch here all of the time. The food is always amazing and very affordable. The couple that run the shop are friendly, and they work so hard.
