Some of the best most authentic Thai food I’ve ever had. So many good clean flavors and such a kind & generous staff. Will be coming here every time I am back in SLC. Such nice family vibes and overall great experience. Everything homemade , and the homemade kombucha was SO GOOD 🙏❤️ 11/10 would recommend.

Diner Review №3

Never had a bad meal here my favorite is the chicken Thai basil, and I love the calamari

Diner Review №4

The servings tend to be large so they are great for sharing and/or leftovers. The food is tasty and the people are lovely.

Diner Review №5

Unquestionably one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to outside of Thailand. The food is fantastic and the staff are extremely kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

Diner Review №6

Years ago this was my go-to thai spot but they have fallen off in recent years. The curry I got was watery and not worth finishing - hopefully they just had an off night but I would be hard pressed to return.

Diner Review №7

Based on the reviews, this place is much better eating in the restaurant. We did take out. We ordered on the site and waited 30 minutes as it said it would take 35-40 minutes. We got to the restaurant, our food was just sitting out, one lid popped open on the styrofoam container, everything getting cold. Apparently everything was cooked and had been sitting there for a while.
I ordered the pad Thai, and I have to say it was the worst I have ever had. Zero flavor, the noodles clumped and were stuck together, the chicken had the texture of being boiled. I didn’t even eat more than 2 bites.
Seems like the food is much better in restaurant. I definitely do not recommend a Togo order. You will waste your money.

Diner Review №8

Love the food and homey atmosphere. Very authentic.

Diner Review №9

Simply the warmest most welcoming, stunningly refreshing, thai Cafe in Utah!!

Diner Review №10

Best Thai food I’ve ever had. Been dining here for 20 years and it never misses a beat. And the staff are all wonderful.

Diner Review №11

Well this place blew us away to say the least! You gotta know what you’re getting yourself into, it’s not trendy or instagrammable but that doesn’t mean it isn’t possibly the best Thai food I’ve ever had. The staff was so kind and wonderful, even if it’s not the quickest service in the world, and they are very helpful in picking dishes and spice levels. It’s a wonderfully charming place that absolutely delivers on flavor. Everything from our pad Thai to the ginger tea and fresh squeezed lime juice and fried spring rolls was amazing. They don’t mess around with spice so heed their warnings, which are lovingly printed on the menus. Honestly, if you’re looking for a cozy little spot with incredible food, you just can’t go wrong. I fear Thai food is ruined for me now because nothing with ever compare. Absolutely amazing spot.

Diner Review №12

I love this restaurant. Today I realized how important it was to me. I had just finished two snow shoe tours in park city(herding cats, adult baby sitting, walking my humans) and I was absolutely drained. No joy or whimsy left. My boss and I were talking about how bad pc tai is and I recommended here. As I was telling him about it my heart grew three sizes(back to normal)Not only do they have great ingredients and very kind ladies they truly cook with love. Just talking about it I felt like I had been hugged and I felt so loved. So I placed my order and floated down parleys canyon right to their door step. Walked in and got a free rose they occasionally have at the door. I always take a sip of yellow curry before I drive home then make love to my plate. ❤️

Diner Review №13

Great Thai food! The waitress was amazing. Great attention to the customers. We are so happy and full.

Diner Review №14

Wow, my new favorite Thai place in Salt Lake City. We had 4 entrees and they were all amazing. Customer service is top notch and so very friendly. We had the Satay and pork potsticker appetizers . For the meal we had Pad Preaw Wan / sweet and sour, Pad Prik Paow, Pad Siew, and Pad Kee Mao. Fantastic comes to mind. All of it. I highly recommend you give this place some dining time.

Diner Review №18

I was an organic veggie farmer for a decade, I grow most my own food these days, and I have owned my own farm-to-table cafe. I describe myself, with the hope you’ll trust my review. This is my favorite restaurant in SLC. Excellent food. Fresh. Vibrant. And, the folks who run it are kind, giving, and loving humans. I feel like I’m at home every time I go. It blows my mind this place does not have 5 stars. How do other Thai restaurants have higher ratings!? I’ll never understand why so few humans recognize good food. This place is one of those few gems in SLC that makes living here possible, if you care about wholesome, vibrant, and delicious food.

Diner Review №19

The loveliest home cooked Thai food. Will keep you coming back for more. Service is friendly.

Diner Review №20

Very cute little Thai shop with some of the best Thai food in the city! They have great gluten free options!

Diner Review №21

Best Thai in SLC.

Diner Review №22

We are here many years ago, and I still recall it as one of the best meals I've ever had, the food was so good that when I left I had a euphoria like I had been drinking or something.

Diner Review №23

BEST Thai food I’ve had since being in Thailand. This will be my go-to from now on.

Visiting Utah from VA. My best friend wanted to check out some bookstores and we got hungry. We trued stopping at some restaurant that was closed and so we stumbled by this Thai place.

I am not sure if the universe is looking out for me, but my goodness this place hit the spot like no thai restaurant I’ve had to date. I don’t know how else to explain the freshness in the food but it has that touch. Tom Yum soup… absolute killer. Followed up by some random noodle dish I have never heard of. I was upset at myself for ordering a noodle dish because it’s tough to assess a good noodle dish, but this was different. The noodle was somehow so light and the flavor was so subtly packed.

The service and the welcoming attitude of the server was top notch. This place is the perfect definition of a hole in the wall type place that cares far more about how good the food is than anything else. Absolute 10/10.

Diner Review №28

Ten out of ten thia cuisine. The tom yum soup was maybe the best appetizer soup I've had in my life. The curry was fresh. Everything slapped and it's evident

Diner Review №29

The ladies here are so sweet and friendly! The food is incredible. Prices are great too!

Diner Review №30

The food is fantastic. The service is great. The people are kind and warm. The atmosphere is cute, but be warned it's a not fancy environment. The restaurant is lived in and warm. All of their curries are amazing.

Diner Review №31

Diner Review №32

I would say thus is one of thr top thai restaurants in SLC. Family business and their Thai tea is amazing!

Diner Review №33

Nice for lunch or dinner

Diner Review №34

Best thai in SLC area.

Diner Review №35

I have always wanted to try them but didn't get the chance. I finally had a chance to try their food at Utah Asian Festival. While the food is good, I am a bit shocked to see the prices quite a bit above where my neighborhood thai restaurants are (also run by Thai people) and I gave them the feedback about prices. The restaurant replied saying he is confident that their prices are among the lowest--$25 for a salad and a drink doesn't seem cheap so it is for everyone to judge on their claim.

Diner Review №36

Both food and service were excellent.

Diner Review №37

Absolutely delicious food and great service. Puffs curry were on special and they were amazing.

My partner and I decided to walk over to Chanon Thai this evening and we ended up experiencing the BEST service and AMAZING food. I haven’t felt this at HOME in a restaurant before, they treated us so kindly and WELCOMED us in with open arms. Forever recommending this place to eat and Chanon Thai received new regulars! We can’t wait to go back! Thank you thank you thank you! 🙏🏼

Diner Review №42

We LOVE this place! They have the best Tom Kha and Tom Yum soup. Also, their curries are to die for! So good!

Diner Review №43

Family owned and Best Thai in UT, soups, larb, curry, everything is so delicious

Diner Review №44

Diner Review №45

I love this place. In my top 5 restaurants in Salt Lake. (No particular order: Chanon Thai, Central 9th, Arlo, Bar Nohm, and The Pearl). They treat you like a friend your very first time in. The food is incredible, and the staff is so friendly. My favorites are the sweet and sour fish and massaman curry.

Diner Review №46

This place felt like going to grandma’s house. So warm and inviting. I even got mango and sticky rice for my birthday. The curry pastry (kinda like a samosa) was delicious. Handmade and baked. Both dishes were done well. I had pad se ew with chicken and it was egg heavy which was not my favorite. Though the food wasn’t as seasoned, we were able to season it our liking with the sauces/spices provided. My husband enjoyed his vegetable and tofu dish.

Overall, please give this place a visit. The service and kindness alone is top tier.

Diner Review №47

We were there for my mom’s Birthday. The food was delicious we got a noodle dish and a fried rice dish it was Amazing. Our server was AMAZING too she was the only one serving she was very kind. We will be coming back.❤️ - Harper S.

Diner Review №48

Excellent! Have been here many times.

Diner Review №49

Best Thai in slc. Sweetest service in the world.

Diner Review №50

Best Thai Tea in town.

Diner Review №51

Try the curry puffs right now! We had to order a second round because they were so good.

Diner Review №52

This Curry is ridiculously ridiculous, meaning way too darn good to be real.

Update 2024: this place is still probably my favorite Thai place. They have these new curry puffs that are basically just meat pies (like the delicious ones you find in New Zealand and Europe haha). They saw our toddler didn't eat much so they brought us out a fruit plate for free. These people are top tier people. Highly recommend this place!

Diner Review №53

Hands down this is one of the best restaurants in salt lake.

Diner Review №54

Food is amazing. Staff friendly.

Diner Review №55

Love their food

Diner Review №56

One of my favorite places. The food tastes so authentic and familiar. The Tom yum is always my favorite. But I’ve loved everything I’ve tried from the menu so far. It is also priced very fairly.

Diner Review №57

So accommodating and the food was amazing! The staff was wonderful! It is a must when you are in Salt Lake!

Diner Review №58

It was very good! Definitely one of the best Thai places in the valley!

Diner Review №59

Diner Review №60

Diner Review №61

Best Thai food in the world!!!! Paw and her crew are AMAZING! Food and the service are top notch!!!

Diner Review №62

Pad Thai was amazing. Lots of flavor just the right amount of kick. Will definitely eat here again.

Diner Review №63

Best Thai food I’ve had (though my experience is admittedly limited). Kind staff. “Hole in the wall” authenticity including mismatched plates added to the charm and down to earth realness. We will be back for sure.

Diner Review №64

Delicious food, great customer service and a very comforting atmosphere I definitely recommend and I will be eating here again.

Diner Review №65

All amazing and great service to boot!
Best in Salt Lake

Diner Review №66

Fabulous Thai food. Friendly waitress and other workers. This may be some of the best Thai food I've ever eaten. We ordered Tom Ka with chicken, Green Papaya Salad, Dang gang red curry....it had lots of veggies including acorn squash that is added in season. All are yummy.

Diner Review №67

What a find! A true neighborhood gem. Food was sooo good. Wish I lived closer, I’d return often!

Diner Review №68

Diner Review №69

This place is so cute! I think it's a family owned business and the owners are really nice. We tried the Tom yum and the pad Tai and it was really good. The tables are kind of squished together, but it gives off the family vibe I guess haha the building may look old, but they keep the place nice and the bathroom is really clean. There are random plants here and there and I really liked the atmosphere. Again, their food is amazing as well, so I'll definitely come back to try other menus.

Diner Review №70

Excellent Thai food near downtown SLC. I recommend the Tom Sum (green papaya salad) and their green curry.

Diner Review №71

I'm beyond impressed with Chanon Thai cafe! 😍 I am blown away of how generous the portion size they gave me! I got the delicious Tom Yum soup to-go! Perfect amount of spice and extremely flavorful! It came with Rice and a salad with Thai Peanut sauce! I will be coming here again and recommend this place to anyone who is a fan of Thai Food. The staff is so friendly and welcoming! ✨✨✨ (The picture indicates how much food I got! I'm so full)😋

Diner Review №79

Channon Thai is a GEM! They are the kindest people and they make you feel like family. I had a pickup order where they gave me a small soup when I ordered large (I hadn’t noticed), but they actually realized their mistake and texted me, insisting to resolve it 😭❤️. I work nearby, and they offered to bring me food the next day at work, which is so above and beyond for such a minor mistake. The food was amazing!! Their kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity are so refreshing to see. As long as Channon Thai is around, I will support this restaurant and the amazing people who work here :).

Diner Review №80

We come here as a family fairly often and love it! Chanon Thai is a family run business that is truly part of the community. The staff are always so sweet and thoughtful, and the food is delicious. We’ve tried many items from their menu, and have yet to be disappointed. We especially love their Nam Sod, curries, sticky mango rice, and drinks. We recommend this place to everyone we know!

Diner Review №81

The best Thai food in SLC. The staff was great and very nice. Will be back.

Diner Review №82

YOU GOTTA READ THIS REVIEW: I took my family to Chanon Thai Cafe to celebrate one of our foreign exchange student's birthdays. It is such a quaint little restaurant. The service was great and we absolutely loved the food. The prices were reasonable and they gave me a 15% discount (not sure why, but was grateful for it). That alone is easily a 5 Star experience. BUT THEN THIS HAPPENED: About two hours after we left the restaurant, my wife realized she did not know where her purse was. We called the restaurant and they confirmed that they had it. The sweet lady on the phone asked if I could come right away to get it. I asked when they were going to close, and she replied that they had already closed but they were waiting for me to call. I was so shocked. I apologized and told her I was 30 minutes away and she didn't hesitate to tell me that she would wait for me. I was shocked again. When I made it to the restaurant, I had a $20 bill in my hand. I thought it was the least I could do to compensate them for the time they waited. When they opened the door, I was greeted by 3 smiling faces. The lady that answered the door apologized for not noticing that we left the purse. Can you imagine that? She then turned the purse over to me and handed me a package of their amazing mango sticky rice. She then insisted that I take two containers of Organic spinach with me as well. And to top it off, she absolutely refused my $20. She just said "Just come back and see us again". And that I will certainly do!!! I was so impressed with the way they handled this. It just warmed my heart and made me love the people in the world even more. This was much more than a great meal, it was a rememberable experience. This is my new favorite Thai Restaurant!

Diner Review №83

Lived in Thailand for 7 years and am constantly disappointed by Thai restaurants for not tasting authentic but Chanon is PERFECT. I love this restaurant so much. Such a sweet staff and almost always hook me up with freebies like small plates of whatever they're all eating themselves at the back table 🥰 khop kun na ka!! Arroyyyy maaaak!

I have found my new favorite Thai restaurant, in Utah or otherwise.. Unreal flavor. Incredibly fresh ingredients. Undiluted coconut milk in the curries. Super nice staff. Fair prices. Absolutely loved it. I couldn’t recommend it more.

Diner Review №95

Friendly staff! Great tasting food! Simple but hit the spot!

Diner Review №96

This is a family-run business, I had to wait for a bit to be seated but it was well worth it - this was by far the best Thai food I have had in my life!

Diner Review №97

Friendly staff and awesome tasty food. First time we went and we will definitely come back. Everything looks delicious.
We had a soup (13), appetizer (2 and 5), entree (41) and a delicious sangria Big Island.
Excellent!

Hands down the best, authentic and flavorful Thai food we’ve had in the states. We lived in Thailand and this is as good as it gets. With a warm and lovely staff and cozy environment it’s as good as it gets!

Diner Review №102

Went to Chanon for the first time and LOVED it. I know I'm echoing other reviews here, but the service was impeccable. Food was delicious and perfectly spiced. We will definitely be back!

Diner Review №103

Absolutely amazing! This laid back little restaurant has great authentic Thai cuisine and excellent service. A gem of the SLC area.

Diner Review №104

First time at this place and it definitely won't be my last. The food was fantastic and the service was great! I Iove thai food so I have high expectations and the curry exceeded my expectations. Great flavors and perfectly cooked vegetables.

Diner Review №105

I loved everything about this restaurant. I visited Thailand several years ago and have missed being able to find truly good Thai food in the States. The food is incredible and the staff is so warm and welcoming - I felt like I was walking into their home. We got a variety of dishes and really enjoyed everything. The only thing we would change is to order spicy rather than medium next time - you can tell they are used to American taste buds and go pretty easy on it, which is completely understandable.
I cannot recommend Chanon Thai enough! We will certainly be back very soon.

Diner Review №106

Diner Review №107

super cute family owned thai restaurant!! food and service were both amazing and there were so many options on the menu! will definitely be coming here again

Diner Review №108

Another spot for favorite PAD THAI 🧡.
I always come in with my mother -in- law, she really love their KOMBUCHA. Would be back again .....

Diner Review №109

Ok this place is amazing the staff was super friendly and the food was beyond 5 stars so delicious will definitely be returning here to try more dishes if you haven't been here make a stop!!

Diner Review №110

I love channon thai! It’s a go to take out spot for our family. The owners and staff are always so kind. When I had to wait for my take out order they have offered samples of their delicious homemade kombucha. I’ve never had a bad dish here and no matter the season their mango sticky rice is always perfect. Their patio is so nice for summer nights. The patio is dog friendly and our server brought our dog his own bowl of water. Cannot recommend enough!

Diner Review №111

Everything I’ve had was excellent. There are many decent Thai places in SLC, but This one stands above the rest. It is the best and most authentic Thai I’ve had in Utah.

Diner Review №112

Diner Review №113

Diner Review №114

Chanon Thai is the absolute best Thai food in the valley! Great prices and amazing quality! Their pad Thai is especially incredible and I’d highly recommend it.

Diner Review №115

Chanon Thai might be my favorite Thai in the Salt Lake City area. Staff is very sweet, service is quick, and the food is delicious. I've gotten the tofu tod, tom yum, pad thai, pad kee mao, green curry, panang curry, and stir fried eggplant. All were nicely seasoned and spiced. Prices are very reasonable, and the location, on 900 S, is very accessible.

Diner Review №116

I love this place! Looks to be family run, the vibe is very comfortable and friendly, and the place is cheery and full of plants. The food has been so fresh and fragrant every time, they bring certain ingredients from Thailand that you can’t buy here. Super safe for me being gluten free, our server said her daughter has celiac so she was knowledgeable and reassuring. She said they use the type of Thai soy sauce that doesn’t have wheat. Most menu items are safe, including the noodles, curries, and soups and a bunch of other specialties. I’ve eaten here about five times and never had a reaction. Great lunch specials too

Diner Review №117

Diner Review №126

We arrived and were immediately seated on the patio. Our sever was so friendly and gave great suggestions. The food was SO delicious!!! Fresh, flavorful and filling. We will definitely be back!

Diner Review №127

Oh my gosh! This was, hands down, the best Thai I’ve had. There were six in our party and we ordered 6 different dishes so we could share. Everything was delicious, but the pineapple curry with shrimp was the table favorite. Most of also ordered the lime juice, and again, amazing!! Ok, I’m not a fan of kombucha. I’ve tried several different store bought and fresh made kombucha, so I was skeptical, but listen, I walked out of the restaurant with an entire bottle! I’ll definitely be back!

Diner Review №128

Diner Review №129

This evening was our second time at Thai Chanon and it was ✨absolutely magical✨ in every way. Over the top.
The food was as delicious as it was before. The first time we went there (last winter) it was CRAZY busy, and we met many fun and friendly people while we were waiting; it was such a party atmosphere! This evening was quiet and intimate, and the beautiful family (adults and children) who work there spent lots of time laughing, sharing, and talking with us. It felt like sitting around the table with our loved ones. We came away with such gratitude for the kindness and attention given to us, and will come back again for the food and the fun! The fresh kombucha and Thai iced tea were so unique! No photos to share, but some of the most feel-good memories that will stay with us! 100% recommend this place!

Diner Review №130

This cozy eatery serves up some delicious, authentic Thai cuisine. It felt like we were eating in someone’s home, in the best way! Service was fantastic. I’d love to come back!

Diner Review №131

Diner Review №132

Red curry was amazing! We tried chicken with it and one of their duck specials. Loved the food, and this is a really cool family restaurant in a fun area. The staff were so friendly and gave phenomenal service.

Diner Review №133

This was my first time dining in at Channon Thai- what a wonderful experience. The homey feel and welcoming staff make you feel like you’re a part of the family. The food is delicious with fresh vegetables. I go a recommendation for a new dish I hadn’t tried before and it’s now a new favorite of mine Mee Jay- a wonderful umami flavored noodles and veggies. I didn’t get food pics- but I did get pictures of the gorgeous homemade Kombucha they sell from a local down the street. Not only were they delicious and fresh- but beautiful! A must go to place here in SLC

Diner Review №134

Awesome food, great service

Diner Review №135

This place is a gem! First time going and hands down the absolute best Coconut Chicken Soup, I've ever had! Their appetizer plate was off the charts as well. Definitely recommend and definitely going back. Outstanding service as well. My new favorite Thai place!!

Diner Review №136

Green curry is amazing! Packed with flavor and a kick of spice. We had chicken fried rice also but it was bland. Kombucha is made in-house and was delicious!

Diner Review №137

Il migliore thai! Perfetto, autentico, raffinato, prezzi giusti

Diner Review №138

Soooo good! First time here and everyone in our party LOVED the excellent dishes. We had young ones with us and the staff was great with them. Thank you Chanon !

Diner Review №139

You know it’s a good sign when you walk in the door and hear Thai coming from every corner of the restaurant - from both the diners and the staff. Everything from the flavors, to the presentation, to the warmth of the service made us feel like we were sitting down to an authentic and wholesome meal in someone’s home in Thailand. The lunch special portions were great, and they even refilled our rice automatically when they noticed we were running low. The menu is also extremely vegan friendly. Recommend the pad puck, pad kee mao, panang curry, and tbh probably just everything!

Diner Review №140

We had the pleasure of dining in this restatement today and it was one of the best experiences I've had. To start we got seated as soon as we walked in. I loved seeing the staff work together as a team to make our experience extra pleasant. Right away one of the ladies that was not even our server realized my purse was on the floor and very sweetly she pulled up a chair for me to put my purse on. I was very impressed by her kindness. Once our server approached she was so sweet and made us very comfortable and feel welcomed. Her suggestion on food was right on point. She was both a delight and knowledgeable. The food was cooked to perfection. I had the scallos dish and it was delicious. I can say this place has become my favorite Thai restaurant in salt lake city and I dine out often, so it means a lot when I feel like I can't wait to go back and try their other dishes. I wish I had the staff's name to mention them by their name but unfortunately I got too caught up. Anyways it is worth the try, you will get hooked.

Diner Review №141

Delicious food and fun staff.

Diner Review №142

Food is all delicious. Sea food curry is delicious but for some reason always comes overcooked (kinda rubbery). Also never open when we are hungry lol :) gotta always check if this place is open. everything else is worth five stars!!!

Diner Review №160

Diner Review №161

This is a true family restaurant. It feels like you are having a really delicious dinner at a friend's house.

Diner Review №162

I recently dined at a fantastic Thai restaurant that is locally owned and I couldn't be happier with my experience. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with a warm smile and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure to answer any questions I had about the menu and the various dishes.

As for the food, it was absolutely delicious! I ordered a few items and they were cooked to perfection, with just the right balance of sweet and savory flavors. The portion size was generous and I left feeling completely satisfied.

I also appreciated the attention to detail in the presentation of the dishes - they were all beautifully presented on the plate.

Overall, I highly recommend this Thai restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic meal. The locally owned aspect is just an added bonus, as it's always great to support small businesses in the community. So, if you're in the area and in the mood for some delicious Thai cuisine, give this restaurant a try - you won't be disappointed!

This sweet restaurant felt so homey when we missed being home because our flight was cancelled this Christmas Eve. They were so kind and wonderful to us. The food was amazing! We are definitely coming back.

Diner Review №165

Ordered take out and it was not good at all. Both noodle and stir fry we ordered lack of flavor and very small portions, vegetables tasted raw Almost it definitely need to be cook more. Reasonable price but not tasty.

came here over the summer and recently came online to look through thai restaurants in SLC because i wanted to come back again. the food was absolutely amazing and authentic. i had spicy drunken noodles and it was so spicy but i physically couldn't stop eating them because of how amazing they were. i'm hoping to go back to SLC and eat here again.

if you want authentic Thai food, you came to the right place! i usually judge a thai restaurant based on their pad thai, and their pad thai did not disappoint! the food was 10/10, service 10/10, and the owners are the friendliest people! it feels very homie here

Cozy spot w bangin Thai food in a casual atmosphere. Tom yum and the green curry were awesome, best Thai I've had in the city easily

Diner Review №171

Great cheap thai eat in salt lake. It was very small and cozy restaurant and really had great family vibes. The second I walked in we were greeted with free samples and really flavorful thai curry. Great atmosphere for a small family eatery

Absolutely amazing! Some of the best Thai food in Salt Lake (and perhaps I’ve had overall!) Every dish is full of flavor. The medium level has a good baseline spice. Fantastic service, super personable and hospitable. You are really made to feel welcomed here. Excited to come back and try the whole menu! :)

Worst noodles ever. Came with hardly any sauce, practically raw vegetables, and 3 times more spicy than what I ordered. Never go here.

Diner Review №175

The best Thai restautant in Salt Lake. This family run restaurant is a great place for good inexpensive food.

Nice but average humble Thai restaurant. Kra Pao pork packed some good heat. Tom kha and the tom yum were flavorful and hit all the right flavors they should. Lime juice was refreshing and made fresh. Service was friendly and as quick as the late lunch crowds allowed.

Diner Review №179

AMAZING. Not only was it the best Thai fo we’ve had in a long time, the service was top notch. The staff were so helpful with recommendations, gave us fun samples, shared bits of Thai culture with us & even sent out a free dessert with the check. We were visiting Salt Lake & wish so badly that this place was in our hometown.

I found Chanon Thai Cafe online and was really looking forward to trying it.
Sadly, this business as well as all the neighbor businesses are completely inaccessible to wheelchair users. If you have limited mobility, don't bother with this place or its neighbors.
The ADA has been in place for 32 years. There really is NO excuse for inaccessibility.
We went to Blue Lemon instead. The food was fantastic, as was the service.
Go to Blue Lemon!

Awesome thai food, coconut ice cream and mango sweet rice was the icing on top! The staff is just as welcoming and caring as any family run restaurant would

Nice food and nice people.

Best Thai of my life

Diner Review №189

We order takeout every weekend. Tonight the beef was leather, inedible.
Using new styrofoam divided containers that hold less AND the portions are noticeably smaller. The sticky rice with mango - four thin slices of unripened mango and maybe 1/4 cup sticky rice. Both poor quality and poor quantity make this a no-go.

So amazing I couldn’t wait to get up from my table to leave a review. How can this quality and quantity of food be so cheap?! How can the staff be so friendly?! This place blew my mind!

I've been going to chanon thai for almost 8 years and it remains my favorite Thai restaurant.

Diner Review №196

Some of the most authentic and high quality Thai cuisine I've ever had. Small cozy restaurant. They are so friendly and very accommodating. I wish they were open 7 days a week I'd give 6 stars if i could. I'd move to Utah just so I could eat here. This place is seriously top notch. I typically get dinner and also lunch for the next day so I git to try a few different dishes.

The tomkha soup was definitely one of the best I've had. The prices and portions were great. I loved that they offered thai spicy options which differs greatly from the American spicy option. Just an over all great experience.

They offer alot of information about the culture within the menu. They are a small restaurant but offer outdoor seating and do other services like catering for weddings, even help you to plan a trip to Thailand.

Watch out for busy times with limited seating it may take a bit to get a table but their turnover rate is pretty quick and totally worth it.

If you're in the area or just visiting this place is an absolute must!!!

100% the best Thai restaurant in SLC. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. The food is exceptionally flavorful and fresh. Really, this places stands above SLC’s many average Thai restaurants. Generous servings, reasonable prices, and kind staff/owners. Eat in for the best experience. Pad Thai is solid, but chicken larb, beef panang curry, and moo yang stand out.

Diner Review №198

Food is so so good and the cutest atmosphere. It is nice and quiet, you can sit outside but not by a super busy loud road. Such good, nice service and the food was so fresh and flavorful!
