This is a Thai pho outlet and not a Vietnamese pho so this review focuses on the Thai taste. The broth was light and by far the tastiest Thai pho I have tried. I ordered P4 from their menu. I would like to see tripe added as an option. I wished the broth was hotter than what was served to us and more noodles. The food did hit the spot. Edamame was free.

Sabai Jai is a great restaurant with a mixture of Thai food and Vietnamese food. As you entered the restaurant you will notice that there are two menus. In this case I took the fried Thai rice R16. This dish was great with plenty of seafood (as per my choice). I also ordered a Thai iced tea. I must mention this is the biggest tea I ever saw. Even with such great portions I think the flavor was what anybody could wish from a Thai restaurant. It's definitely a place I would go back to. Something that I found curios and I want to share it is that when I ask to get the food to go. I got a real plastic container instead. I find this a cute detail.

Overall, maybe it is better to eat in the restaurant because your experience may be different. I wanted to give 3 stars, but felt that was a little harsh, so bumped it to 4.

I had their green curry. It was the first time I had had this dish & it was delicious! I had a hard time stopping when I was full. I highly recommend it! I tried several of their other dishes when they had their grand opening a few weeks ago & they were all wonderful!

I was excited to try this place because of the convenient location. It truly surpassed my expectations! We ordered takeout and I picked up the food with my son. The hosts offered us a seat since we arrived a little early. My young child caused a bit of a commotion with an accident and the restaurant really went above and beyond in their kind response. Most relevant to this review, everything we ordered was flavorful and delicious, especially the green papaya salad, the pad thai and the spicy eggplant tofu curry. The shrimp wontons were also unlike anything we had tried before - very tasty. We will definitely be eating here again!

My boyfriend and I are are travelling and we were craving Pho, Sabai Jai was the right choice! The kindest most accommodating staff and delicious food! We highly recommend this place!

Everything we’ve ordered is amazing!! Yellow curry, red curry, tom kha soup. We’ve tried lots of Thai restaurants. This one is our favorite.

The food and service here were just lovely. We started with Pot Stickers that were crispy with dipping sauce. My friend had Pho and I had Seafood Panang Curry. The curry was a delight. Rich with a sweet coconut flavor. My friend seemed to enjoy the Pho as well. The meal was a very reasonable price for the quality of the food. I highly recommend trying this small and cost restaurant.

This is now my go to for green curry, it was the best I've ever had! I highly recommend!

Update: This is to the owners response. I have not received a refund but i was surprised to see the extra $4.68 you charged me after the fact that is not on my receipt nor did i agree to pay.

To say I am disappointed is an understatement. This was our first time trying the pho here. I'm extreme pho lover so after looking at the great reviews we decided to try it. We ordered a P2 and P4 to go! Pricing online is different then what we were charged $17 each but hey good Pho is worth it. Unfortunately this was not good, the broth is very bland, meat is rubbery and in a ball at the bottom of the cup like it was roles up and tossed in. I'm sad to say it but this is probably the worst Pho I have ever had.

This place is 11/10, by far the best Thai food I’ve had. You have to try their pho 🍜 the broth is incredible, and the Thai iced tea was divine. Would highly recommend trying this place out if you haven’t already

Sabai Jai replaced my family's favorite Pho spot, so it had big shoes to fill. So far, it's really good! I have yet to try their pho, but their Thai offerings are quite tasty: curries, stir-fry, mango sticky rice.

Our meals were delicious! I had spicy cashew with tofu and I could eat it everyday! My partner ate Spicy Basil tofu with extra veggies very spicy and he loved it. Our friend got chicken pad Thai and a Thai coffee and enjoyed both!! Sooooo good!

I ordered take-out, and the food was ready right on time. The pad kee mao was delicious with pepper flakes on the side so I could make it as spicy as i wanted. My only complaint is that the sticky rice was more like bricky rice and was inedible. Aside from that, it was a good experience.

Ok, this is a gem of a family owned restaurant. The owner is an accomplished Thai chef. The restaurant is located in a strip mall, but should be on 25th st. We had the vegie spring roll and potstickers for appetizers and yellow curry and pad thai noodles for entries. I have been to Thai land and her cooking compares favorably. This place is a must. Top two restaurants in Ogden. Her husband waited on us and shared their background, which made us feel like family.

Was once my favorite place for PHO ate there last week, and it was terrible. The stock was so full of grease, it was like eating a bowl of lard. Paid for extra meat got three meatballs and two slices of steak. Even after a nice tip ,was the saddest and most disappointing meals I have ever had

To start they brought a small plate of still warm edamame with some salt sprinkled on it. I love to start any meal with a green vegetable as it helps balance blood sugar. I'd say it was ok. I've had better but I appreciated it.

I ordered cashew chicken. They asked the spice level - from 1 to 5 with 5 being the most spicy. I picked 3 and I'm really happy with that level. It has a slight burn to it (if that's how to describe it) but I wouldn't call it spicy. I thought it was perfect. This was my favorite dish. It comes with rice. I wanted to eat it all. Vibrant colors, flavors with perfectly cooked vegetables. It was $16 and I took home leftovers. There isn't a lunch menu so it was more than I usually spend for lunch.

My friend got green curry chicken and it was at a level 1 so it was good but I think level 2 would've been better. It comes in a bowl, like soup and a plate with rice.

The only thing I didn't care for was the pineapple fried rice. It has raisins in it and while it looked beautiful and had fresh tomato and cucumber slices on the plate, I just didn't love the flavor. It had a lot going on. I believe it had fresh tomatoes in it. Very different from any fried rice I've had before and I wouldn't order it. Not that it was bad, I would just try another flavor.

I always wanted to taste Thai food. Really very good. I recommend it.

I'm in culinary, and I must say the basil chiffonade was so consistent and so very thin. Like 2 mm thin. Not varying in consistency whatsoever.

Like, this food is so fresh. I had the Beef Panang Curry and the Tofu Pad Thai - level 3 spice. The portions are perfect. Curry was probably 28oz or so plus about a cup of rice. I'm not shoveling in the last 8 bites waaaay past full. (Just making smaller and smaller bites to stretch it bc it's hard to part ways with it)

The prices are great as well. Perfectly stuffed for $16 each (before tip).

Pro tip: 1-5 for spice level at Sabai Jai
(From 1: "no spice" all the way to 5: "effing hot")

Amazing service, insanely nice staff and DELICIOUS food! So stoked this place is close.

So excited to have a place nearby with actually good pho. Pho broth was flavorful right out of the kitchen and didn’t need additives. Meat was properly thin and soft. Noodles were a tiny bit too soft but still very good. Atmosphere was very clean. We are excited to come back and try the curry.

Couple small recommendations for this new business. Add pricing to take out menus. Add some blinds to help with late evening glare from sun and car windows.

Went to a new Thai restaurant in Ogden, Sabai Jai. It’s located at Harrison and 20th, next to Fresh Market.

It was sooooo good! I got the cream cheese wontons and pad Thai, and would highly recommend them! For who remember when this location was Pho Bahn, the news owners have done a complete remodel inside and it’s now a very nicely appointed sit-down restaurant.

They are closed Mondays, but open every other day of the week. Go check em out, you won’t be disappointed!

Very delicious tofu pad Thai

We had the mango sticky rice dessert, tom yum shrimp soup, and chicken potstickers. Delicious and perfect serving size. Authentic flavorings and dipping sauces. Came here thinking it was Pho Banh but they just opened and getting a new sign up soon!

The food is absolutely delicious. I lived in Thailand for a few years and having their pad see ew brought back the memories of a tiny food stand near where I lived that served only that dish. The staff, who I assume are the owners, were so friendly and hospitable too.

The food is very fascinating, and I’ll be visiting again. Support a local business! Go there and grab some wontons, you won’t regret it.
