It’s rare to find a place around here that offers such fresh, flavorful food and generous portions. The restaurant itself is cozy, impeccably clean, and exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The service is top-notch, with the staff always making sure you’re taken care of. But what really stands out is the food. Every dish I’ve tried has been bursting with authentic flavors, from perfectly balanced spices to the freshness of the ingredients. I’ve had the chance to try two different dishes, and both were fantastic—large portions that left me satisfied but still craving more.

Lucky Thai in Herriman is hands down the best Thai food I’ve had in Utah! We ordered Thai yellow curry, the crazy fruit mix drink and mango sticky rice. All were so authentic and delicious. The veggies and ingredients are freshly cut which makes such a huge difference in the quality of the food. The owners are so sweet and really care about their customers. They took the time to get to know us and made the experience feel like a real home cooked meal with friends! I’m so grateful to have such an amazing local restaurant open up in Herriman. We’ll be regulars - highly recommend you support them!

I lived in Thailand and I rate every Thai restaurant based on their น้ำตก (beef waterfall) and แกงมัสมั่น (Massaman curry) and this place is top tier. The portion sizes are great! People might say this is a take out only but this is exactly what a normal Thai restaurant looks like and how people go and sit in a restaurant. Try it out peeps!

We visit Utah from Texas a couple of times a year. We found this place last summer, and loved it. We eat a decent amount of Thai, and our go-to initial order is yellow curry and pad see ew. Last summer, this place nailed it. Some of the best of both that we've had in awhile. Not as good as our place in San Francisco, but pretty close. Anyway, today the yellow curry was a bit sweet. Edible, but not great. And pad see ew was straight up flavorless. It was actually crazy how flavorless it was... I'm not sure if we'll be back tbh.

The food was amazing and service was great. Probably the best Pho I’ve had in all of salt lake. Only complaint is they need more locations!

I love this place. Their food is as good as anyone’s in the valley. Their green curry, massaman, pad Thai, and anything else I’ve ordered from here are top notch. They add a lot of meat and veggies in their curry and noodle dishes and it’s so consistent! My go to out in riverton, but I’d pick it over nearly anywhere I’ve tried in the Salt Lake Valley.

Ordered online at 5:16 pm. It said order was ready at 5:36. Got to restaurant at 5:55 and it was not ready. Waited inside for another 30 minutes until the food was ready. They kept saying it was almost ready and they were bagging it. Ruined all the other food we had in the car as they were cold by the time we had it. If they would have said it was 20-30 minutes more, I could have taken it home and came back.

Absolutely wonderful food that came out steaming hot! Beautifully decorated and clean little front dining area if you want to dine in. The gentleman up front was super nice and accommodating. We will definitely be returning ❤️.

Wow! This place was incredible!! I had the Laab and it tasted just like it did in Bangkok. They are very generous portion sizes and reasonable rates. Very pleasant business owner a nice quiet environment. Definitely coming back on the regular now that I know they are here.

Okay I just got a to-go order from here (which they were kind enough to stay 5 minutes after to make for me), and holy cow it is sooo good! Seriously I think these are the best Drunken Noodles we’ve ever had, and we eat Thai food all the time and have been to Thailand.

We went for lunch after returning from restless trip to Toledo, Ohio. The food was excellent and the owner is super friendly. Luck Thai will be our no. Choice for Thai food.

Holy crap! Just had our first experience with them, we'll go back for sure! We got the drunken noodles and Massman curry. Phenomenal! Definitely recommend giving them a try! Service was excellent and very friendly! The shop is cozy and welcoming. We'll be trying way more in the future!

Ordered pad Thai but they served pad see ew instead. It tasted like black soy sauce which pad Thai doesn’t have that ingredient. It was edible but wasn’t what I ordered.

Thai food is one of my favorites, but this is the worst I've ever had. We ordered Green Curry and Pad See Ew. The green curry was drenched in sugar ... it had absolutely no eggplants, almost no bamboo shoots but plenty of onion. I've never been so disappointed at food. The pad see ew wasn't any better. I was so excited to find a nearby Thai restaurant ... so sad

This place is incredible. From the service to the food this place is a MUST GO for any foodies and Thai lovers. I had the yellow curry and it was phenomenal. Not to mention the portion sizes are MASSIVE. The vibe is very cozy and hole in the wall. I would HIGHLY RECCOMEND the crispy pork belly appetizer. Very authentic and delicious.

So only different couples dollars and it’s not bigger deal but don’t make Sense when u cost customer diff then your menu without say anything… not happy about they treat customers like dumb …

Had an amazing green curry! The nice lady who took my order asked if I wanted medium spicy and I thought “medium should be ok”. I ate the whole thing with tears in my eyes and loved it. Also pretty good fried dumplings (great sauce) and pad thai

Just tried this place after seeing it open. There really isn't much Thai in Herriman so the convenience of the location is nice. The food was great. I've tried a lot of thai restaurants in the valley and this already ranks among my favorites.

Tried Pad ped, red curry, and massaman. All great.

Edit: I have since tried Pad gra prow (they mince the meat), yellow curry, and drunken noodles here. Have not disappointed!

Great Thai food with plenty of options also generous portions for your money. Try the fried pork belly, papaya salad (spicy), and beef waterfall (spicy). I order sticky rice every time. They also have more mild options for people who have issues with spicy food. Like fried rice or paad thai. The sesame and egg rolls are on point as well.

Their food is absolutely delicious! And It seems I can’t go a week without their yellow curry! The owners are kind, attentive and care about your experience. They do a good deal of takeout business, but if it’s not crowded, I’m happy to sit down for a meal in good company. We truly wanted to like Lucky Thai, as we do not have enough such options near by, but alas, after trying it out last night we were greatly disappointed. We ordered the green curry chicken, yellow curry with tofu, Mongolian beef and basil fried rice. My stars are for the basil rice, which was nice... however, the yellow curry could not have had more salt in it, it was barely edible! The tofu had a slightly stale taste like it had been left open in a refrigerator too long, not appetizing. The green curry chicken had, dare I say, a green dye in it? It was neon almost, bright green and looked artificial. We asked for that to be spicy, and it had very little punch at all, if anything. The Mongolian beef was nice, but underwhelming again as the flavor was lacking. Sadly, we are unlikely to return and regret taking a chance given all the good reviews, though I should have believed the few who also reported tremendous amounts of salt. The owners seem lovely and the place is small and accessible, great for takeout, but yikes, we are definitely bummed it was not what others described as a "good meal".

The food was amazing!! And the owners were so so nice, made us feel very welcome and cozy! My boyfriend and I got the yellow curry, egg drop soup, and chow mein. The yellow curry was probably the best curry I’ve ever had, I’ve traveled a lot so that’s saying something! The egg drop soup is perfection and the chow mein was very good and authentic tasting. Overall, an amazing experience :)

Thai food is one of my favorite things to eat. I travel a lot for work so I’m a hard critic. I’ve had a lot of delicious Thai food in California, I was eager to try this new place near my home in Herriman yellow curry did not disappoint. It was very flavorful and was paired beautifully with Jasmine rice. I finished my dinner off with delicious mayo, and sticky rice. I would definitely recommend trying this place!

Best Thai food I've had in years!! We went a couple of weeks ago on the second or third day after they opened, and at the time they didn't have a google listing yet, but now that they do, here's my review!

We ordered several dishes (Massaman Curry, Shrimp Fried Rice, Chicken Pad Thai, and Mongolian Beef), and they were all EXCELLENT! Level 2 spiciness was perfect for my family, though I got level 3 for the Mongolian Beef and have been craving more of it ever since. Portion sizes were large so we had plenty of yummy leftovers, and all of the flavors were exactly what I hope to get at a Thai restaurant.

Do note that the restaurant seating area is very limited, so we just ordered ours at take-out and then went over to Smith's to grab a few groceries while we waited. I'll definitely be going back soon to try out more dishes...or maybe just get more of that amazing Mongolian Beef!

We love Thai food and are incredibly picky. No exaggeration this is the BEST Thai food I’ve eaten in the entire valley. It’s a cozy cafe style where you order and sit down, not a restaurant with a waiter. There is extremely limited seating and it’s a basic cafe…but, don’t let that stop you. The food is tremendous. It’s one of those truly special foods options you find and instantly will be come lifelong customers. We ordered the yellow curry and cashew chicken, both were top notch and I’ve been to Thailand and South Asia many times. It’ll be our weekly go-to local gem.

This place is the new diamond in the rough in Herriman. We had been driving to Salt Lake City for good Thai food. The yellow curry is the best we’ve ever had and the drunken noodles are legendary. The sticky rice is also the bomb!

We had the Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai with chicken. Both are very good and very fresh. Loved both. Pad Thai with extra limes was amazing almost killed the whole plate. The Mango Sticky rice was fantastic as well. Definitely try this place 100% great.

Just tried the new Thai restaurant in Herriman, at 5500 west and 13100 south, Lucky Thai. OMG this was some of the best Thai food I have had in a very long time. The yellow curry and drunken noodles were fantastic! Just the right level of heat and sweet. The service was fantastic. It is owned and run by a very nice couple. There are a few tables to eat at, but the take-out was great. Please give this place a try if you are in the Herriman area. I really want to keep this mom and pop place going.

5 stars for the mango sticky rice! Excellent. Ordered Mussulman Curry with “zero” spice and it was the spiciest Thai dish I’ve ever had (and I’ve eaten a lot of Thai). I was hoping they accidentally dropped a canister of red pepper in it (it was speckled red throughout) but she said that’s as mild as it comes. I was stoked to have Thai in our own little Herriman but my capsaicin receptors can’t handle their recipe. My wife’s level-2-spice drunken noodles were much better and less spicy than my level-0.

I don’t love that all the displayed prices are the cash-only levels and then you get a pretty hefty up-charge for using a card, along with a request for a 20% tip.

Great food. Really flavorful and fresh. Yellow curry was amazing and the curry fried rice was excellent. The fresh spring rolls were pretty heavy on the fresh mint flavor if you like mint leaf you'll like these but if mint leaf isn't for you I'd pass on the fresh spring rolls and try a different appetizer.

Also, there is a table and a few seats at a counter, but I'd consider this restaurant mostly for takeout.
