This place is good. The staff and their hospitality is warm and welcoming, but the food is okay, and not what the reviews made me presume.
Either the reviewers have exaggerated, or I was having a bad day.
I ordered their sampler plate of appetizers that had dumpling cheese roll spring roll and one other item. Everything felt overdone over fried. The server claimed everything is handmade daily but the dish didn't made feel so. In main course I ordered red curry and pineapple rice but when you have read "authentic" taste in reviews, your expectations are now set for experience which didn't turn out so. My red curry looks yellow see poctures.
The curry was missing the touch of lemon grass flavor, coconut milk was too thick and taste uncooked, I was able to taste the rawness of it. Pineapple rice was okay.
Restaurant is good and even the server and team is great at handling the requests which made me feel better.
I will assume it was my bad day and may give another visit and I hope I get chance to update this review.

I absolutely loved Sukhithai Thai restaurant! It was my first time here, and it was perfect in every way. The atmosphere was authentic and welcoming. The service was prompt, attentive, and friendly. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and happy. The duck curry was simply, ridiculously delicious! It was pricy, but worth it. The regular spiciness was just right for me. The duck was cooked perfectly. There was a good amount of vegetables and gorgeous presentation. The rest of the menu had affordable pricing. My husband got a noodle dish that he liked. He said the carrots were cooked perfectly. The edamame appetizer was a fresh and tasty. The hot tea I got was served in a beautiful tea cup. I can't wait to come back! The seating area is small, but cozy and well decorated. They seem to have a booming take-out business.

Best Thai in san antonio. I eat it every week. The staff are amazing and my order is always right. Cant say enough good things about them

I always am a huge supporter of a small business. There are two things which annoy me a lot. Charging customers a fee for using credit card. They have a sticky note posted for it. To save some cents you would be losing customers. Secondly inadequate portion sizes.

Green curry was served with decent portion for the curry and inadequate rice portion.

The spiciness goes from 1 to 4. We ordered 3 and it was spicy enough for us to complete food with bubble tea.

When we walked in the place had an unpleasant smell and got down after a while. They have a few tables and a decent seating area.

Some of staff members were friendly. Had to ask few times for cutlery and plates.

Nothing stood out from what we tried apart from the green curry which was nice. The appetizers and the fried rice were ok..ok nothing to be amazed about.

I have been a weekly customer for almost two years now! I love all the food I have tried!! Massaman curry, cheese rolls, and thai tea are my fave! All the curries are delicious! I may be spelling names wrong....but I also enjoy catching up every week with Beam and occasionally getting to see Zinc too! I'm so lucky they are 5 minutes from my house!

Normally it is very good however I came in and got a tofu red curry specifically because my wife does not eat meat. There were multiple pieces of chicken and pork throughout the curry.
We will give it another try since this is the first time but please be mindful not to add things that should not be in our food.

We had ordered Pad Thai and Pad Mama. Both items had no flavor and all the vegetables were missing from both items. So, what we had received was basically noodles. Very baffling and disappointing experience. Not going to order again from this location.

Today I ordered combination pad thai to go for picnic lunch. It was 18.00 dollars. Flavors was there but beef was a cheap cut and was tough, tofu was diced into little bits cube missed it you have to look for it, was there chicken? And only 3 shrimp, very little bean sprouts and half a lime wedge. My biggest complaint was the utensils... cheap toy that bends and hard to use, one napkin ...so thin. Come on give your customers usable utensils. Would I buy again? NO.

My husband and I LOVE this place. Their food is so fresh and flavorful. They have impeccable customer service and are always joyful. The only spicy curry in SA that’s actually spicy. Prices are reasonable. Great portion sizes and dinning in a sweet intimate experience.

Went to the establishment on 17 June paid with my Apple Pay and realized I didn’t have my debit card to finish the transaction so instead of canceling out my transaction because I didn’t receive any food. This restaurant proceeded to process transaction through knowing they should have voided it out.

If I wasn’t able to make it back before y’all closed why tf would yall proceed to process the transaction STOP IT! THATS STEALLING, YALL CHARGED ME FOR SOMETHING I DIDNT RECEIVE!!!

Now let’s talk Medium, this will have you tearing up because damn is it hot but super good for any spice lover. Finally Thai Hot, please do not attempt unless you want to burn your mouth, it’s good don’t get me wrong, but if your not an experienced spice lover you’ll end up wasting this perfect dish (please don’t waste!) Please if you don’t like spice just ask for no spice.

Let’s wrap this review up now! If you haven’t tried this place please give it a chance, there’s obviously a reason it’s popping up all over San Antonio.

My wife and I always get the Thai fried rice from them. It is so flavorful and fragrant. Add some of the hot oil and fish sauce and it makes it that much better.

This was my first time ordering food from here off ubereats and my chicken pad thai was hot and very delicious! The Fresh rolls were perfect, filled with nice crisp veggies, and came with delicious peanut sauce as well! I will definitely order here in the future.

Sukhothai has been my favorite place to get authentic and amazing Thai food in San Antonio. This establishment has never failed to provide excellent service and food any time that I have gone.

I was absolutely devastated when they closed their location near Lackland, but I am happy that they have multiple locations around San Antonio.

P.S. - The Pad Woonsen is the best dish they serve. Hands down.

So I placed an order for takeout over the phone. I ordered the Seafood salad and didn't notice that it was accompanied by a side fried rice. I specifically ordered the salad to be medium spicy and when I got home, the salad is delicious but if medium spicy means very spicy, then I need to order it mild next time.

I went there after reading good reviews. It's a small place and i assume it mostly takeout customers, because they only had a seating capacity of less than 20. I was doubting the reviews but the food proved me wrong. It tasted amazing and portions were good. The medium was a bit spicy for my friend so choose your spice levels correctly.

Do not order takeout from this place, whether Uber eats or directly. Eve nif you add notes asking for soy sauce, and chopsticks, they do not add it. It is the little details, and it has happened three times already. I guess I wanted to give them more chances. Once is a coincidence or error, twice is an aberration, three times is a pattern.

We came here because of reviews saying this place was one of the “best Thai restaurants in SA” but honestly, no. I’ve had way better here. The spring rolls were just ok, not too impressed. The Chicken Pad Thai was “good” but again, nothing to write home about. It also lacked so much spice. However, they did not ask me for a spice level when I ordered. I probably should have mentioned it myself thinking back on it now. I will say the service was great and my order was ready fast! Might give it another try upping the spice level. But so far, definitely not my favorite here in SA.

As someone who hasn't frequented Thai food places before, when asked, they walked me through their menu and were able to make recommendations based off of their own preferences and also let me know what we're the popular items. Have tried several of their selections from the menu and all were quite good in quality and proportions.

This place is usually really good, not sure what happened but today I ordered two pad see you noodles and they had a terrible burnt smell to them, there was little pieces of burned noodles in there so either they burned some noodles and cooked the rest in there or picked them out but it was inedible which is sad because I’m pregnant and was craving it so badly. EDIT ( owner replied on here to bring back the food to get a new one but that happened yesterday and the food went into the garbage)

Small place with big flavors! Located next to a gas station, but don't that fool you. Great service, and you can taste the freshness in the food. If I have to say something negative, it would be the small dining area; 5 tables. Most orders were carryout. Oh, and you have to try their smoothies!

many years ago, i worked at a thai restaurant in Illinois where i was the only employee who was not born and raised in thailand. it quickly became my favorite food genre. since then, i have been desperately searching for anything that even comes CLOSE to their authenticity. most other places in SATX are watered down or whitewashed, but sukhothai is always perfectly spicy and flavorful! i haven’t found a single menu item that hasn’t blown me away <3 from the bottom of my heart, i love you sukhothai

Out of this world Thai food! Always greeted by super friendly staff. The food is nothing short of amazing. I've tried a wide assortment of their dishes and haven't been disappointed by any of them.
I love spicy food and they definitely bring the heat! I usually order "level" 3 and that is about as hot as I can eat, comfortably.
I would call in your order as they are always busy (that's how good it is!), but the staff is always busting their butts.

First time trying Sukothai Restaurant in this location. Very limited seating area, service was very fast. Love the presentation of the food. Taste good too. Crispy Pork Belly Fried Rice was so good.

So it had been about 7 years since I had Curry. I had the biggest urge for Curry. And I happen to be in the area and this was the place that I found on Google. I went and tried it and honestly some of the best curry that I've had in a while. All of the food was delicious I was very happy. And I will be returning to that spot if I need Curry in my life again.

They are a weekly staple in our house. Good customer service is an understatement. The ladies that answer are always extremely nice. When I come in to pick up they are always fast and courteous. I recommend them to everyone. I love their food. Highly recommend if you are wanting Thai!

I love this place. Authentic Thai, the spice is delicious and just right (sukothai Hot) for me of course. Friendly staff and simply awesome. If you haven't been to Thailand thus place is the closest you'll get to it. khawp khun

It’s the real deal. Best Thai dishes in San Antonio. Super convenient location for anyone kn the NW side of town to carry out on a weekday.

There is another location over by 410, PLEASE make sure you order at the right location.

But, the staff were so friendly and kind that they didn’t charge me again to have them remake the food here at the location off of Tezel. Stand up people! Coming back here on the regular.

I actually used to like this place but lately they have been stingy with their food. I ordered curry and they gave me a little portion of rice?? And same for my sesame chicken. They give me a dinner size for the curry and sesame but barely any rice to eat it with? Last time I paid for hot oil and they didn’t give it to me and then the noodles I ordered on the side weren’t even flavored, it was just a side of udon noodles that were just cooked. What in the world???

I’m done with this place though. I don’t want to have to cook rice cause they didn’t give me enough. I would gladly pay more for rice but don’t continue to jip me… They are becoming stingy with the rice and hot oil and never give you utensils unless you go in person. Most people won’t care until it happens to them… if you are fine with little rice then this might not bother you but as an Asian, I want my rice!

*update* - she stated the rice was free, which is understandable since I ordered 2 dishes. However, any other place I’ve been to has given me way more rice than this… this was just one small scoop & I used to work at a Chinese restaurant so I know portion sizes on rice… and to be honest, you have cheated me out of utensils multiple times, but sure…

Who cares where it’s located?! Its an amazing hole-in-the-wall! The food here is fresh, authentic, and delicious. They let you choose your spice level and even have their OWN level of spice. Great prices and serving sizes and you can even ask for extra. This place makes the most yummy orange chicken and it’s actually what real orange chicken should taste like. Not to mention amazing Thai food.

The Pineapple Curry is excellent. The spring rolls are better than most. Love the Cashew Chicken, it is so good.

The staff at the counter, she is super nice. I ordered pad woon sen and it was soooo good. plus, they have military discount👍🏻

Definitely the best Thai food I've had on the Northwest side. The various salads (papaya in particular), and red and green curries are amazing!
