Kin Thai & Sushi (San Antonio Dominion Restaurant) - Just discovered this place. We went there for Thai cuisine, which we had, but the sushi rolls we saw come out looked fantastic, so we will definitely go back for sushi next time. We ordered the Thai Spring Rolls, Chicken Phat Thai, and Chicken Phat Khing, and were treated to some Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. Everything looked great and tasted delicious. The Phat Thai was as good as we have had anywhere! The servers were efficient, attentive and courteous. Prices very reasonable. The dining room was full, but not noisy. A very pleasant ambiance for a casual dinner.

Kim Thai and sushi is one of the hidden gems in the Dominion area. The service was phenomenal. Our server Ana made recommendations on best dishes to try. The presentation of food is amazing with fresh flower decorating the papaya salad. Real authentic food! We enjoyed our meal and best of all it was served right away. We didn’t have to wait too to get our meal ready. They cater to the lunch crowd so they offer $12 meal. In this day and age having a $12 meal with soup and all is the way to go if you love eating good. They give you big portions so come hungry. We ended up taking it time and made another meal out of it.

Great taste and presentation

This is our favorite Thai go to place! The red dragon roll and chicken jasmine soup are our favorites! All of the staff are so attentive and friendly, like Family... Especially Sam. We ❤️ him! Always clean and the sushi chefs have been here a long time and are amazing!! They can make anything!!

Awesome Thai food, really delicious with excellent service. Staff are super nice and friendly. Ask for pik for hot stuff on the side to add to your dish for extra hotness.

I’m not a fan of long black hair mixed into my pad thai noodles. I will not be returning.

Have thrown away my to-go 2x bc they got the order wrong and 2nd time bc it was the worst pad thai ever, period. Noodles were all stuck together, bc there wasn't any sauce and no flavor whatsoever. Service is some of the worst as they don't understand the meaning of service, instead, it's translated to bad attitude, which starts with the manager at this place. Never again!

The food was excellent. I have one disappointment about the Tum Yum soup. It had no taste, l had to put extra spicy to flavor it.

This used to be our favorite place for Asian cuisine. However, our last order was not up to the standard we became accustomed to. The ingredients were different for our staple meal and the garden roll was not fresh at all or there was something else wrong with it. The french fries were the best part of our meal. We were disappointed to say the least and I hope the quality is back to what it was if we decide to order from here again.

Wether you dine in or order takeout, the food is always delicious, fresh, and served with a smile! They make some of the best sushi in the city too.

The food was delicious, amazing sushi rolls, very high quality seafood. Wonderful spring rolls as well. Very friendly staff, only issue was the women's bathroom was not handicap accessible due to a shelf blocking the door. I hope they fix that, because we will be returning.

This is an updated review. I had given them 5 stars previously , however todays experience was unfortunately terrible. Everything we had was bad. Rice was over cooked and the beef was bland, tough and inedible. I hate to do this but they should know.

Although the place was super busy when we visited, it was definitely worth the wait. The spicy Thai dishes were particularly outstanding. The employees here are top-notch, and the owners are sweet, which adds to the charm of this place.

After taking a "break" from Kin we have tried it again several times and were happy we came back. The food is very good,authentic and the portions very generous especially for a Thai restaurant. The service is very good and most important they follow your requests fully. We will continue visiting and are recommending Kin as the best Thai restaurant in the greater neighborhood. The sushi is also outstanding in quality and verity.

This place is so good! One of the bes thai places I have ever been to. It’s a little place but the environment is really nice. We tried their pad thai and kin cashew with beef. LOVED both! If you like thai definitely give it a try! Tried their thai tea too. Liked the flavor of the tea but not the boba in it. Would definitely go back to try their other food!

Good food but deceptive online tip practices. I ordered takeout not knowing that the third party online app they use is defaulted to 20% tip!!!! Please be careful when you order online for take out!! I ended up paying $6.80 for take out :(

Everything was delicious. Our favorite was the Volcano Roll. Caterpillar Roll was a close second. It was my son's first time eating crab, shrimp, and eel, and he loved them all! Kin's was a great choice.

I've been here a few times and have ordered different foods. So far, everything I've tried I absolutely enjoy and is delicious. I've never been disappointed. Highly recommended.

We have been here for lunch and the food is great! The tea is good but each drink is $3 even the kids.
Something I thought was odd is that our family is two adults and 4 kids under the age of 10 and they charged gratuity. I understand for 6 adults but not for our size kiddos.
Something else is their hours are not always what google says. We tried to go again for a Friday early dinner and they were closed.
Take it for what you will but I don’t think if we go again I’ll take my kids because if anyone knows kids, two share one plate so the gratuity isn’t worth it.

This is one of my wife's and my's go to thai restaurants around San antonio. The Thai food is really good, little lighter on seasoning than I get from most other thai places but still flavorful.

Service is very friendly and attentive. Its a little place that can get busy so you may wanna try going on off hours.

I really like their kin thai spring rolls and fried rice dishes, although we had their sushi and it was pretty good too, if a little expensive.

What a wonderful place! We are originally from the Seattle area and have enjoyed Thai here in San Antonio. But recently a friend recommended this restaurant for us to try. We were excited to learn our dishes did not disappoint! The Phad Thai had outstanding flavor and we loved the little orchids on our plates. For desert my husband and Ienjoyed the Fried Bananas and icecream. By far, one of the best Thai Food restaurants we've ever experienced. Now we can't wait to go back to try all the dishes on thier menu! I have to say, we enjoyed watching all the orders from others around us arriving to thier tables. Such beautiful and unique presentations!

Be careful when order online!!!!! Every time we order, something is missing. Last two times it was mango mousse (now they don’t offer it anymore). Today we are missing Spider Roll. I called and guy told me he did add it to the bag, he was resistant to admit that it was missing from the order. Another thing Tom Yum soup (always goes with shrimp) before was $8 with shrimp, now when you order online you have to add shrimp (required) and it adds $4 on top, amount of shrimp same as before. Truly to say, I am tired ordering and every time something missing. Service quality are went down, horrible service. I am not recommending this place anyone. Rip off me so many time!!!

Wow! We have been looking for “Our” sushi place since we’ve moved here…. This is it. Good portions. Fresh fish! Great pairings of flavors. Just the right amount of sauce. Thai food too! Hubby had that for lunch one day and raved

Atmosphere, Sushi, and Service were all fantastic on each one of our multiple visits. It's one thing to eat at an establishment once and have a good/bad experience. We've eaten here multiple times, and it's CONSISTENTLY GOOD! I'm not sure what more you can ask for than consistency.... Highly recommend!

I listen to the sports channel and their advertisement actually worked. We decided to come in and give this place a try. Unfortunately, we stood at the front for 5 minutes waiting while at least 3 staff members made eye contact and went about their business. I understand if you’re busy…but an acknowledgement is the only acceptable response. We left and went to Costa Pacifica…not Thai food…but we were not ignored.

Tasteless pineapple fried rice, had only 2 pieces of can pineapples, the chicken in was tastless. They should marinate their 2 pcs meats before throwing on the food. The curry was too watery . Very disatisfied first time n last i order from this place.

The food was awesome here. We had both Thai food and Sushi and everything was excellent. The portions were huge. We had to get to-go boxes, lol. Loved the nice and clean atmosphere. Loved how the wait-staff worked as a team and never let our drinks run out. I highly recommend this place.

Me and my boyfriend tried this place for the first time and I was very excited because I saw the reviews and many left positive ones but unfortunately my experience wasn’t great. The prices are pretty high for the food quality. Jasmine rice on side was mushy and was very disappointing. The food is presentable I would say but pictures doesn’t mean it taste good. I got the curry and the potatoes were hard and she were the carrots.. some were soft and some were hard. One of the waiters touched my straw with his whole arm rubbing on it and didn’t bother to ask if I wanted a new one so I had to ask for a new one. Horrible experience. Wouldn’t come back.
