After years of experience in Ft Worth we opened a second brand new TIE Thai restaurant conveniently located behind the Exxon Gas station at 1601 S 9th St, Midlothian, TX 76065. Please come in and enjoy our wonderful healthy food made with special herbs. If you are in a hurry, order to go via our own website: ThaiMidlothian com
Really tasty, even though we asked for spicy couldve been a bit more. The fried basil rice was really tasty. Yellow curry with chicken and the spicy peanut sauce with pork all had great flavor. Definitely coming back to try a few other dishes. Follow up a couple years later. Very small portions rice not even filled to top of container and over 40$. Won’t be back. Very disappointed. Small small portions rice asked for spicy not spicy at all. And the added foil just filled the container.
I went on a date here and it was great! The food was top notch hands down the best Thai I've ever had or even made myself! We got steamed dumplings to start and I got the punang curry and my date got orange chicken we also got Thai tea and Thai iced coffee both were perfect. TK was our server and chef and he was attentive but not overbearing and his food looks like the pictures online perfection! The restaurant is nicely decorated and provides a nice atmosphere. 5 out of 5 stars no doubt is my favorite restaurant!
Just finished up lunch here and it was so good! I grabbed the orange chicken with a spice level of three. It was delicious with the perfect amount of spice. We had the steamed dumplings as an appetizer and they were perfection. The iced Thai tea was also tasty. The service was quick and friendly- shout out to TK!
No tie here, they are the best in town. Very friendly and extreme confidence in the quality and flavor of their food. The owner takes a lot of pride in the dishes prepared, as she should. Everything was delicious. We ordered to-go, Thai fried rice and drunken noodles. The cream cheese crab is a new favorite of mine. The sweet and sour sauce is unmatched!
This is our family’s favorite restaurant in all of Midlothian! We always get the green and red curry fried rice and orange chicken. The staff is really great and the restaurant has a great atmosphere and is very clean. Highly recommend this place to everyone!
Love this place
Probably the best Thai restaurant out on this side of Dallas. I’ve tried different options on the menu and the food always hits. Fresh veggies used and good protein. I only wish for bigger portions.
Made it all the way he after waiting nearly an hour to discover that I was given dry rice wrapped in foil and plastic for my mango stick rice and no one was answered the phone!
The Duck curry was delicious!

I've gotten Thai food at a few different spots (mostly Crushcraft Thai), and unfortunately, this place did not compare.
I have a consistent experience every time. Food and customer service A+!
The prices are high for the experience.
The food here tastes great- it’s really my favorite Thai food in a 20 mile radius, but over the last couple of years the portions the decreased significantly and the prices have gone up. I would love to eat here more but unfortunately the value just isn’t there anymore. I paid for a dinner portion and it was half of a medium to go box - it used to be overflowing. No lime included anymore either.
The food tastes great. Serving sizes are really small for the money.
We love Tie Thai. They have the best Thai food around. My husband gets the Pad Thai and I get the Pad Kee Mao.
This place is terrific! Food was top notch and service the same, thanks TK.
Probably the best Thai food in midlothian. I recommend the yellow curry.
If you like Thai this is the place.
The food was so fresh and everything tasted so wonderful. Very authentic Thai! I highly recommend it!
Great food. You can pick your spice level.
We stopped by on our way home, almost no waiters. It took a long time for the food to come and the people who came 5 second before us got their food. We have to wait for ours. And the waiter personally asked me to tip her more like seriously.

Enjoy this place! Excellent service, sweetest people work here, Asasha, Tho, and another young waitress my family met today. The food is, no joke, the best Thai food me, my wife and kids have had in the DFW! Can't beat the flavors and authenticity. Such a warming and welcoming atmosphere and pleasant establishment all around. We have been here now about 7 times and, God Willing, we will continue to frequent Tie Thai :) Take my advice and try it! You and your family will love it as much as we do. Thank you!
This is one of the best food places i've ever been to, no joke! The pad suki is my favorite and I get food here every chance i get! I ❤️ tie thai
The food is delicious! Restaurant is super clean with a nice atmosphere.
Excellent Thai food. Everything is authentic, fresh, and delicious. They have a robust take-out business. Dining in is my favorite, though, for the freshness and atmosphere.
Food here is good. Service can be a little struggle but overall it's the only Thai place in our small town so..deal with it. :-)
Great atmosphere!
Delicious food!
Food was great and the server was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back!

My family stopped in while we were on a road trip. The restaurant and restrooms are clean. There is a relaxed atmosphere. We had two curries, pad Thai and cashew chicken. Each meal was delicious and the portions were good sized. 👍 Would definitely recommend.
Overpriced, underwhelming. Chicken skewers are barely half a chicken breast cut 4 ways. When your pad Thai is watery and has to be scooped up with a spoon, you know you messed up. Only saving grace is the Thai iced tea, which you can make easily at home with a youtube video. Maybe the owners need to watch a few videos on how to make Thai food, because this isn’t it. Save your money and go to Kai-Tip at Dallas farmers market or Banana Leaf in Plano.
First time here and it was really good! I had green curry and my wife had red curry, both were amazing. The cucumber salad and fried calamari were also very good. We will definitely come back. So glad this place is in Midlothian
Very impressed. We've been meaning to try Tie Thai for a while and last night we did finally. The food was delicious. The ambience was nice. The owner was very sweet and very helpful. The service was great as well. We will definitely be going back again soon.
Finally, a Thai restaurant serving Midlothian, Waxahachie and surrounding area.
And the food is very very good. not necessarily what you’d expect farther out here in the southern eco-suburbs.
If you want a bar, this is not your place. But it is BYOB so bring you cheap Coors Light or your most expensive wine, it will go well with the well prepared Thai dishes.
I love this place; I eat here at least once a week. The Pad Kee Mao and Green Curry are my favorite.
The food was great, and it was busy for the one guy working there. He did a decent job, but when my wife left her phone there the server may have tried to take it, but after she had it locked and threatened to call the cops he magically found it.
Great food at a great price
Really good food. I have eaten here several times, and have also ordered take out. I love the curry options.
Great food
Food is amazing. Only complain is they get very busy and you have the wait a while. Very nice people and great service!
This is my go to place for Pho. They have been short staffed for a while now. So be prepared to wait a bit. Their food is great. Always fresh. Pho is awesome.
Both or meals were fantastic.
Welcoming hosts and environment. Great food and a nice change of pace for an area with not a ton asian restaurants.
The chicken pad Thai is really good but their drunken noodle is another story. Last time I ordered it and it barely had any noodles and seasoning wasn’t good. I called in to talk to the manager and was told I get a callback never did. Their sweet sticky rice is good but not worth what they’re charging. Dumplings are ok. Thai fried rice wasn’t too bad.
It was delicious food.
Thanks..
The food is as always, very good, but the customer service is very marginal. The restaurant is short handed and that affects the experience of customers.
I decided to come here for the first time in years after work and I’m so glad I did! Two young ladies took care of me and were so so kind and helpful in choosing a meal for my husband. The red curry was amazing, just like years ago when I came, THE perfect spice level just like I requested. These ladies were seriously phenomenal and I appreciate this business more than words can say. :)
Had really good experience this weekend. First time eating here and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The food was delicious Cook fresh. Will be back.
We have looked everywhere in Texas for Thai food that comes close to the west coast fresh Thai we miss so much and we FOUND IT FINALLY at Tie Thai! We almost broke out with the Hallelujah chorus! Fantastic !
Cant believe Ive been in the area a year and just found this place. Red curry was marvelous. Staff was wonderful. Great dining experience. Loved that music that was on wasnt blaring loud and we could have a conversation.
Hostess was nice and friendly, but the food took quite a while to come out (nobody was there but my wife and I). The prices seemed fair, but the portions are extremely small. I paid $12 for a plate that should have costed about $7.50. There was about 4 small slices of chicken in my "chicken" yakisoba as well. Also, one of the staff had a young girl who was waiting there near the back coming in and out of the kitchen. She was coughing up a storm literally every second we were there. I would have have someone take her home if I was the owner because it was very unappetizing to eat there while she was coughing.
EDIT: Kaliyah was an outstanding host. I changed my review to 4 stars because of her.
Excellent food and staff
So I usually judge a this place based on their spring and/or summer rolls, and this place leaves so much to be desired regarding flavor. The peanut sauce tasted like sweet and sour with a few peanuts mixed in. There was iceberg lettuce as opposed to real cabbage and the basil was bland.
The drunken noodles were okay, but I didn't really taste the sauce, and couldnt taste the basil at all unfortunately. And there were quarted tomato slices with just felt odd. $20 for this wasn't really worth it, with the portions being on the smaller side, at least for delivery.
Would eat again though
The food here is amazing but the ladies running this place are even better. Great service and food.
Honestly, the food is fantastic. That’s the 2 stars. The missing 3 stars are for the service and audacity for a server to tell us they were “running” around when they were clearly observed at the front stand playing on their phone.
Started out with 3 drinks, only got 2 and had to wait for 20 minutes for the 3rd, which came out in a can.
The food was not correct and our server should probably write things down better.
The overall atmosphere is good with the food being above average compared to surrounding Thai places.
Tie Thai gets a 2 star rating due to the service being extremely slow and inaccurate.
The food is decent, but not up to the quality you would expect given the price. I’ve been here several times and stood at the door without being helped for so long that I became frustrated and left. Happened again today so I went to Adoriana where I was instantly greeted, seated, and brought a drink.
If you have an hour or more to spend at lunch, TIE Thai is a decent spot.
Tie thai pho, bro!!
The service was good. But, I would probably not go back. I paid $15 and the food was just okay and it was supposed to be a dinner portion, but was barely a lunch portion.
Update in March 2023...
Since we put up great reviews the place started getting a lot more business. We went back and it was absolutely horrible service.
They had a single girls trying to run the entire place; checking people out, taking takeout orders and waitress. The entire dining room was full and about half the people were obviously done for awhile and quite ready to leave.
We were given menus when we were seated but after 45mins without so much as being offered water or drink orders we got up and left.
I hope they will get with the program quickly and hire some staff or in my opinion they shouldn't have a dining room.
The food is obviously good there was a very busy takeout going on.
I am not sure if people in the area don't like great Thai food or don't realize this place is there; we were concerned to see not many people there during a Saturday dinner hour but they are one of the best Thai restaurants I've ever been to and I come from a foodie rich area.
Great prices, great selection, and excellent service and atmosphere. We brought little kids and they were very kid friendly.
We will definitely be going back now that we have found this spot.
Pad ke mao and green curry. Simply amazing.
Just decent Thai. If you've never had thai then you may like it. If you know your Thai food then save your money. On a positive note it is bring your own beer.
My husband and I ate here for the first time today and it was excellent! Pho is basically a food group for me and we both love Thai in general and can’t believe we haven’t tried it sooner. We had the edamame, Shrimp Pho and Shrimp Pad Thai. Shrimp were fresh and huge! All the flavors were there and the service was great. Highly recommend!
The food is always delicious. Wait staff are the best. We find ourselves eating here weekly because it's just that good. Highly recommended!!!
I ate at TIE for years when they were located in downtown Fort Worth. I stopped by today when I was driving through Midlothian and was so happy that my favorite dish tasted the same. I love this place! The pineapple fried rice with chicken is awesome, and I wish I could still walk there every week.
The food here is so good. Great flavors, and good portions. Quick service and always well packed for when you do take out. Great quality food. I try something new every time and have yet to be disappointed. Highly recommend.
Food is amazing service is good staff is very good will definitely be coming back 😋
Food was gross and the service sucked. Paid $70 for trash.
Rude rude woman worker? Owner? (I'm not sure) but this is the 2nd (& very last time) I have had my day "attempted" to be ruined by this woman's scorn.
I was overly pleasant & tried to reach a compromise but i guess she doesn't want my business. If you want to risk it, I'D BEWARE!!
My spring rolls were left off our 80$ order. We also asked for brown rice and did not get it. 3rd time we have had food from here. Disappointed
I ordered the seafood soup and I waited outside for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Two tomatoes wedges, some herbs (mint) , 2 shrimp, 1dried scallop, 2 imitation crab pieces and one mussel and mushrooms.
Nothing like this picture!! Not noodles!!! I called to complain but nobody answered the phone. $17.00 soup for nothing. I will never come back.
Enjoy the flavors here very much! Food is made with much care, great fusion of flavors, Very nice ambiance and the service was timely and very genuine. Be sure to bring your own wine and they will happily bring you a wine glass or two! The orange chicken is from scratch and amazing, the yellow and massaman curries are fantastic. You can order with beef, chicken, or pork. Be sure to try the Tom Kha soup!
The server has a very good aurora
Food was great
The food was very good. Authentic. Having said that, it took us 10 min before the waitress came and ackowledged us. It also took another hour in a half before our food was delivered. They desperately need help. On another note, they had people going in and out of the kitchen that looked like customers. Portions could have been a kittle bigger too.
Don't come here!!!! Please I beg you, bad service, it takes forever for your food. I have never experienced anything like this before in my life. I was with other people so I felt compelled to wait. If it was just me I would have left.
If you have 3-4 hours on your hands waiting for service/food then please feel free to come here. Food is okay, but it took forever. I saw 3 other people walk in get water and never got served again so they had to walk out. Even when you order takeout it takes forever to get your food. Whoever is the owner please get more help with the two ladies that work there. Don't come here, it will only make you mad. I wish I could say something better but it's just ridiculous the wait time!! SMH
Not in any rush to get your food to you, needs major attitude adjustments in the workplace. Kindness goes a long way and I wasn't shown any.
Yall…. This place is HORRIBLE!!! They are so rude. 0/10 recommend!!
Learn how to treat your customers better
Worst costumer service EVER!!! Very rude staff. DO NOT dine here or even order from here, waste of time and $$.
Horrible costumer service
Great Thai food! Great atmosphere. You could hear your groups conversation. Great service
The food is good and it was not busy at all. And the staff is very friendly and you can choose hot spicy you want your food.
⛔️ A FLY in my yellow curry !!!
Also, the server took 20 minutes to come to my table to take my order
The worst restaurant experience I’ve had in Midlothian
Not recommended at all.
Thank good ness for this Thai restaurant in Midlothian!! Cute little restaurant on the side the gas station. Great Thai menu. Authentic food. Veggie and tofu options available. They are short staffed but the food is worth the wait. I like their pad Thai with chicken spicy 4 and fried rice with beef spicy 4 and Pad kee mow with chicken spicy 1. Their steamed dumplings and fried gyoza are so good and lots of flavor ! We got the sticky rice mango as well. So fresh. Thai tea and Thai coffee is very good. Staff is attentive and friendly. 10/10 would recommend.
I hate to give this rating. We’ve eaten here at least once a week for years now.
But it has just gone downhill…
When they get it right, it’s really good, but it is so inconsistent now.
From spice level to amount of ingredients, you just never know.
Their soda fountain is broke too often and the then they charge $2.50 for a can of soda…. And it’s flat! How is soda from the can flat??
The final straw today was we went and ordered the crispy spring rolls. She mentioned that they don’t have handmade, but frozen ones now… but they said they are basically the same. They were horrible. But they still charged us.
While the servers are nice, the quality and care has just gone away…. sadly they lost a long time loyal customer.
And they were the only Thai place around… so sad.
It's good, but due to short staff I wasn't able to order some items. Not a great experience when you want something specific.
Placed a lunch order, got a confirmation, got there, and a hand written sign says closed for lunch. Poor management if you can't even let your customers know you're closed.
Service was great. Taste of food was good but not great we ordered Pad Thai, Yakisoba, Basil Fried Rice, and Sea Food soup. The best out of all 4 was the Basil Fried Rice, all the rest were good but not great. I think for the price portions should be a bit bigger for example the Sea Food Soup was pretty much 16 dlls and is a very small bowl. And the Thai iced tea was 80% ice 3 sips and that's it the tea was gone all ice left in the glass.
Very good food!
Great price. Best Thai around....
I've eaten lot's of Thai food and pad Thai is my favorite dish and this was by far the worst pad Thai I've ever had!! Ordered peanut sauce with it and it definitely was not peanut sauce! It was nothing more than sweet and sour sauce. Absolutely terrible all the way around would not recommend it to even someone I didn't like!
Great server, very friendly and made sure we felt important. Good size portions and VERY tasty.
Best Thai food I’ve had in a long time! My husband and I ordered the Thai tea, spring rolls, pho and green curry. Everything tasted fresh, cooked perfectly and very flavorful. Reasonably priced and the staff was very friendly. Will absolutely be returning soon!
This was my first time at the restaurant and my friend suggested going there, so I ordered to-go. The young lady at the front was very pleasant, and had trouble finding my order on the computer, but my food was ready. She worked diligently to figure out the issue. She ended up having to get whom I assume was the manager/owner to help her. She calls out my name and asks me what I ordered in the middle of the restaurant. She then came to the computer where she was demeaning the young lady right in front of me and kept huffing and puffing. I felt bad for the young lady. Once she walked away, I told the manager/owner that the way she was talking to the employee in front of guests was inappropriate and unprofessional. She kept trying to interrupt me and not let me finish. Once I was done, instead of apologizing, she thanked me for my advice. What?! I was confused.
As for the food, it was pretty good in taste, but the quantity did not match the price point.
Sadly, my first and last visit.
Súper sabroso
We've been coming to them since they were in downtown ft worth
Tottaly awesome and amazing
Some of the BEST Thai food I have ever eaten! Absolutely delicious!
Terrible service. Waited over a hour and half for a scheduled online order. Will not be ordering again.
3.5. Our first time eating at this restaurant and my husband and I both agreed that if we were in the area we’d come eat again but wouldn’t go out of the way. Portion of drunken noodles was pretty good but quite small. We are not huge eaters and are on the smaller side. It wasn’t worth what it was priced. Definitely get An appetizer. Staff was friendly but any change of ingredients was frowned upon. Restaurant was clean. Ambiance was just ok.
I have usually had good customer service but the new hostess they hired is rude. I tried calling multiple times to place a carry out order and it rang and rang-no answer. Decided to stop in to place order. Advised that I didn’t think their phone was working and was told that “sorry, we have been busy so phone orders are not our priority and we don’t answer the phone ”. And then proceeded to tell me that it would be a 40 minute wait. That is why I wanted to call this in! Food is always great but with this kind of service will most likely not be back.
Always a delight. Never disappoints. Great service & great Thai authenticity.
Nothing special
Great customer service & amazing food!!
Unfortunately the server we had must have been new because everything went wrong. We ordered two dishes that were supposed to have chicken but they came out with beef. We also ordered steamed dumplings but they gave us fried dumplings. We didn’t say anything about the fried dumplings but when the dishes came out with beef, we sent them back and they redid them with chicken. One of the dishes was so spicy that we could not eat it. The server had told us that she would ask for it to be mild. We later found out that this dish could not be made mild. The server did not mention it so we ended up with one in edible dish. If she had told us this we would’ve gladly ordered something different. So we left with only one of us having eaten. Then, to cap it all off, they charged us for BOTH dishes AND they charged us extra for BEEF which we neither ordered nor ate. this last part was the fault of the manager, not the server. What a disappointment! We had been looking forward to dinner out. We should not have had to pay for a dinner we did not eat.
Wonderful Thai food and very polite staff.
Get the Duck curry!
Good Pho and delightful mango sticky rice.
Food was good and authentic. The service was great also.
Great owners, well run business. Excellent.Thai tea always
My first time trying this place. Staff was super friendly. The food was decent, and while I might pick something else next time, it wasn't bad for what it was. The one thing is I'm pretty sure one of the dishes I ordered was suppose to come with rice, but I did not get any rice.
Overall, give them a try and see what you think. It's a little bit of a drive for me, so it's not a place I'll make it to often, but I would give them another go in the future.
Very good, nice people too.
Very friendly staff serving up fresh tasting delicious foods. Our whole group has always been pleased.
Good food! The service is slow, show up for a Togo order on time and then wait another 20 minutes, it was a slow time
The best Thai food ever! We are regulars best spot in town to grab lunch 😋
Ordered the seafood soup ... so disappointed it was hard and smelled nothing but fish ( old fish)
I ordered the soup , spring rolls.and curry chicken it was very good, seasoned great. Loved it I will come back soon!
This place is wonderful. Food is good. Plenty of selections and the prices won't break the bank. They could use a few extra employees and it would be a great Thai spot. It rivals the big places
Food is great but they are having staffing issues and we're not able to fulfill my recent order.
Everything here tastes great!
Service is always excellent! Food is good too.
Great food, great service, friendly staff. Worth driving a little off your route to eat here.
So slow and horrible customer service. No one answers the phone. Made an online order, showed up when I was told by the online Order. When I walked in 35 min later; I was told they had not even started on my order yet and would be another 45 min. A father and son had sat down during this time. Sat for about 10 min. No one acknowledged him and he left. 1 waitress and 1 cook. I unfortunately will not be coming back. This is my 2nd time coming here and both times have been a horrible experience. Will not be giving this place a 3rd chance. The people running this place have no idea what they are doing. Probably why they shut down their Fort Worth location and moved to Midlothian.
Some of the best Thai in Dfw. Food speaks for itself. Service is above average, family owned and operated. Worthy
Best Thai I've had in Texas. Great service and price as well!
The food was absolutely amazing! Everything we ordered was fresh and picture perfect too. I highly recommend coming here.
Great Thai food and restaurant! Andre was super friendly and the food was delicious. We got the red curry and panang curry, and we loved it! This is probably one of the better Thai food restaurants around — great food and great service!
This place has Authentic Thai food and it is incredible! They’ve had some much needed wait staff changes, so the service is better! Love that whatever you order is made to order and with the freshest ingredients.
Excellent food and even better service. Their spice is much less than other Thai restaurants, so heat chasers will need to ask for more than level 4.
The food is great, calm environment, and the owner is very nice. I love supporting small businesses and this place certainly deserves it.
Food is always amazing. We have done takeout and dine in and never had any issues. Owners are friendly and inviting. Give it a try and you will not be disappointed!
The food and service was excellent. The owner greeted me at the door. The food was every bit as good as what I’ve found in ftw only it’s a mile from home. I had the shrimp pad kao kai and probably will again soon.
What a fantastic and beautiful restaurant tucked into the most unassuming location. TIE Thai has fantastic food and phenomenal service. You MUST try it out for yourself. There wasn't one dish of the six we ordered that disappointed our tastebuds.
This place was excellent. Great establishment for a casual outing or a celebratory dining experience. I gave this restaurant five stars because the establishment was clean, the server was nice and knowledgeable about the menu. My experience was breath taking. I recommend this place. It was worth it. I'm satisfied and full. Great Thai food.
Andre the manager is so PROFESSIONAL, FUNNY, AND HOSPITABLE. THE WAITRESS WAS SO KIND, PATIENT, AND FAST. If you want Thai food or just looking for something different. Try this place! Not to mention the decor and ambience is so on point. This is a great date night spot or a casual lunch/dinner spot. Plus you have to get the Thai tea you won't regret it!
The flavors are great but the portions are small.
Best place for Thai food in Ellis County! I just wish you guys would deliver via DoorDash or UberEats. We’ve been back twice so far, and everything has been delicious.
Love the food!!!
Slow service, but the food was great and worth the wait. We had the crispy spring rolls and crab cream cheese for starters. My wife ordered the pad kee mao, and I got the the sizzling beach, which is mixed seafood in red curry.
