Artwork hangs on olive-colored walls at this low-key restaurant for Vietnamese & Thai cooking.
Super weird, I've had green curry so many times, it's my go-to Thai, but this wasn't it. Super bland, no salt, no sweet, just thicker milky sauce with zero flavor. I had my family try because I started thinking something was wrong with my taste buds, they said it was the worst curry they've ever tried. I think maybe the cook didn't finish it? I don't know how else to explain how bad this was. I had to throw it away. You can see the picture. Bummer. I'm giving 2 starts because the fried spring rolls and fried rice were okay, but would not order again. Even peanut sauce on the side tasted off.
Excellent Green Curry with coconut & chicken...white rice. Had the Cabinet.... Entire meal was excellent.
Seated immediately in the front Corner booth table. Waiter very attentive and bar staff gracious as we were leaving.
I especially like their ice water with a hint of cucumber very refreshing after spicy food.
Will return for sure.
Ordered summer rolls and two vermicelli Bun bowls. The summer rolls looked great! Unfortunately they were not edible. They were so chewy and tasteless. The pork bun had a meat called bbq pork. It was clearly a pressed roll of meat as it was an odd pink. Granted we ordered to go . It came with vermicelli, a cucumber slice and old bean sprouts. The spring roll Bun came with same tasteless bean sprouts. However the spring rolls were edible. This is a hard pass for Vietnamese food.
Extremely disappointing food.
Can’t believe how bland tasteless and insipid the food was.
The green Thai curry was only sugar and coconut milk.
The noodles was thick flat one inch wide doughy mass served with some fried tofu and a bland liquid which was supposed to be some sauce.
The broccoli in garlic sauce was equally disappointing as in the whole dish there must be only 3 or 4 pieces of broccoli.
No doubt the food was fresh but totally unpalatable.
There was no differentiation between the dishes as all tasted the same bland tasteless pile of food.
Only good part was that it was open till 10:30 pm and after the concert one of the few options open where vegan food was available.
Would Not recommend if you want some authentic Vietnamese cuisine.
Totally feel we wasted money.
Enjoyed my meal. Took a bit to get my menu once I was seated but with only one server around at the time that is perfectly okay. Wonton soup was very good. Drank all of it quickly despite how hot it was. Burnt my tongue a bit but it was worth. Thai fried rice was okay. Has a little of a charred taste to it but not too overbearing. In general it was a good meal and visit
The people there are nice. Kim is very friendly. The food was not anything close to authentic Thai. There were peas and green beans in the curry which is random and the basil noodles I expected to be thick egg noodles which they were thin crispy hard noodles. The green curry was so thick idk what was in there. I didn’t enjoy it. Some flavor but the green curry and basil noodle I do not recommend at all. On top of that I ordered brown rice and got white. If you want authentic Thai this is not it. I may be more biased bc living in NYC and LA has spoiled me to some of the best authentic Thai food.
Great food, nice wait staff, and the food comes out hot and quick.
Love Kim!!! This place is so lovely. Came here on a Saturday evening. Great food and service. Definitely try it out!!
Delicious food and fast service!
We celebrate many different birthdays there.
Alex gave us fantastic service! Wonderful food. Loved the Classic Pad Thai, and spring rolls! We’ll be back! Thank you.
Tonight, I had the Chicken Pad Se Ew. The flavor was delightful. As an added bonus, the water has a hint of cucumber and lemon flavor. I'm looking forward to eating here again in the future.

It was aight.
if i could give 0 stars, i would. gave this place a chance because of the reviews, however the food was flavourless and inedible. not a single thing is authentically thai or vietnamese. my husband, who never sends food back, sent it back and refused to order anything else. i, unfortunately, was too nice and paid for my dish. the staff couldn’t even pronounce the proper names of the dishes, but they were nice. that’s all i can really say about this resturaunt.
I recently moved to northern PA from Philly last summer , we go to Buffalo a lot now for our shopping since there’s nothing really near us. My husband and I missed our city food a lot , especially Pho and wanted to give this place a try - the food here is amazing! We also brought our friends one time , for them to try something new and now my good girl friend loves Pho just as much as I do. The last time we brought my mom with us and The owners still let us dine in even though we were there 1hr before closing. My mom loved her Pad Thai dish, she’s not really a soup person in the summer so there’s something for everyone! We made sure to leave a generous tip because this shop didn’t have to be so kind and accommodating towards us. The atmosphere and hospitality are always amazing! The decor is so comfortable and stylist as well . This is our spot for sure and I can’t wait to come back again soon because I am craving Pho again 😁
Food was bangin and came out in like 10 minutes. Service was very chill as well. Good spot.
Fantastic yellow curry and summer rolls.
Excellent Green Curry with coconut & chicken...white rice. Had the Cabinet.... Entire meal was excellent.

The food here is amazing. But don’t order it on Grubhub or any delivery service. They mess it up 9/10 times.
Food is high level. The room and service is so-so.
Ordered summer rolls and two vermicelli Bun bowls. The summer rolls looked great! Unfortunately they were not edible. They were so chewy and tasteless. The pork bun had a meat called bbq pork. The food is really good, and would recommend it if visiting Buffalo!! The interior is very beautiful and the staff are very pleasant. The menu allowed a large variety of choices!
High quality four- or five-star restaurant here in Buffalo that serves up authentic southeast Asian cuisine in a classy Historic structure that (while is not without its problems) is preserved by a positive business showcasing the pride of their culture to Western New Yorkers. Well done.
I ordered take out and the portion is very less. I cannot believe why this place has so many 5 star reviews.
We were in Buffalo for the eclipse and came to this restaurant for dinner. We are glad we did! The food was delicious, prices were fine and servings generous. We loved that dishes were authentic, flavorful and bright. We were four people and all of us really enjoyed what we had. As a plus, the restaurant has a very affordable cocktail menu, including an interesting Martini cocktail selection. The staff were welcoming , super polite and helpful. We loved this place and we are sure to come again when in town
Wonderful Flavors Burst In Your Mouth. This Is A Special Place. Don't Miss This Cafe.
My wife and I both enjoyed our meals, I had the sizzling duck and she had the tofu green curry. The spice level was okay, but they have multiple sauces you can choose from to spice it up to your liking. Definitely would go back.
I got the crazy noodles dinner with chicken. The chicken was on the dry side and had small bones still in it. There wasn't much in terms of veggies in the meal and was mainly noodles stuck together 5 thick.
They also don't label the meals when you get takeout and it's hard to tell the orders apart sometimes if it's similar dishes - for example we had one order of gluten free noodles but no way to tell which one that was. Plus side though is that they offer gluten free.
I ordered from here because I’ve heard many good things about it. I got the pad Thai it was unlike any I’ve ever had before. It was bland, no spices, no flavor, just terrible. After spending over $50 on just 2 items (delivered) I was very disappointed and upset it wasn’t even edible. I ended up throwing it away. So waste of time & money. Definitely would not order from here ever again!
It may just be me not enjoying this kind of food. But the food for me and my girlfriend was completely in edible. Would not recommend this location
Great food

Delicious but confusing to get in lol.
Definitely a neighborhood gem. Portion sizes are extremely generous. Price is reasonable.
I travel a lot and always look for my Vietnamese taste. Food is great here compare with my home town food in Little Saigon in Orange County, California.
The food is always fantastic when I come here. Such great flavors. Everything is super fresh. Always try something new each time. The server Diamond was very attentive and helpful when asked about a menu item. Kudos to a great team. There usually isn't any wait to be seated.
We were here for a Friday lunch. The food was below mediocre. The soup extremely sweet. The bun was ok, but not more than that.
Best pad see ew in Buffalo
Super cool restaurant. The food was amazing and reasonable. Large portions. Atmosphere was very soothing.
Always a cool place to meet up with friends
Most disappointing & expensive Thai Food Ever. Ordered vegetable spring roll and was served summer spring roll instead. Ordered beer, which never made it. Absolutely flavorless basil fried rice. Extremely tangy pad thai. Vegetable+Tofu is charged 3.99 and there's hardly any vegetables in the plate. Tofu was dry and rubber like. Even the cucumber water wasn't fresh. The only plus point was that hostess was pleasant.
I loved it. The food was awesome and flavorful. The spring rolls were tasty, just the way I like them. I will be back.
Food was okay server was unkept. Fly's everywhere I can only imagine watch the kitchen was like.
My soup was a little too sweet and my cousins was a little too salty. Food was ok but the service was great
Delicious food good service 👍👍👍
The food is good and the service very nice I love this places he so nice and awesome 💜💜💜💜💜
Omg..I've had pho from all over the world but this was the best I've ever had. The Saigon wings was incredible and crispy. Kim and the staff was amazing. I love the ambience and the service. Can't wait to come.
The food was good, and the service was nice. One thing we noticed; a lot of fixing to do, especially by the booths at the windows on Elmwood.
First experience in last three weeks was fabulous. Today is second time, it was disappointing. Exactly same noodles we order , but today like not cooked so well , probably change a different chef ? I don’t think we will come back anymore.
Clean environment also there is friendly employees, it's very good place2be hang out with friends and family
Great food friendly staff
The worst customer service ever. Do not order food from this cafe. Firstly, they gave me a partially wrong take out order. I call the restaurant back and they told me to come back and return the food for a refund. I go back to the restaurant which was a 20 min drive and gave her the food. She flips again and says we cannot refund you the money for the food and took my food. Just robbing me out.
Additionally, the chicken and shrimp were overcooked and chewy. There were no wontons in the wonton soup as well. Never going back here and suggesting people to stay away from these fraudsters.
Great service awesome apps and drinks near the bar. Definitely going back.
The food is overpriced. Not worth it.
Delicious food
Not only authentic but a very cool and creative environment. Tai and Vietnamese cuisine not fusion two esperante ethnic foods coexisting on one menu.
My go to is either the wings or the best wonton soup I’ve had in Buffalo to start. Then I usually have the Pad Se Ew or if I want Vietnamese the Bun Cha (vermicelli noodles with veggies, sweet vinegar sauce and tiny crunchy spring rolls)
Does not disappoint
Food was fabulous, authentic and well presented.
👍
Glad to come back for dinner after Covid!
Came here on a Friday night, it wasn’t too busy (most likely because of the Bills game going on at the same time). We had 7 people and they’re able to seat us right away. My friends ordered Saigon fried rice and said it’s one of the best fried rice they’ve had in a long time! Pad see ew was also tasty and very close to authentic, probably the closest in town! (And I’m Thai) pot stickers were ok, nothing special. vermicelli (Bun) dishes were good and fresh. I’d definitely be back!
Food is pretty good ..4.5
This place rocks. Attentive staff, great flavors and a diverse and customizable menu. Can't wait to go back
No Ac. Horrible. Sat outside. Theb28 min wait I guess was well worth it.?? The food was great. Do not drink the Kung fu wine. Brutal. But with some upkeep and maintenance. This could be an easy 5 stars
We ignored a singular, recent, negative review and went with the overwhelmingly positive reviews and ARE WE HAPPY !! A delightful late afternoon/early evening random picks from their ample menu were each a revelation, uniformly perfectly cooked the freshest ingredients with subtle flavors. Service was helpful without being overbearing and a relief after a day of seeing sights, our warm up to Gardens Buffalo weekend. Great choice.
The water not it
The staff is very friendly and courteous. The Summer Rolls and Sem Cuon are very good fresh, light appetizer options. I had the Salmon with Tumeric Sauce in a clay pot which was excellent. It came with a side of rice but I added a side of mixed veggies. The Vietnemese Iced Coffee with Condensed Milk is also a great choice but I wish it was a little larger. I highly recommend trying this place out!
Great food
Love beef shaking dish...I also enjoy the thai coco cocktail drink.
Food was so so. For the price, there is better out there. The prices online also differed what my receipt reflected which was disappointing. They have a wide selection of dishes which is a plus but we ordered 'the most popular' and the ones they recommended and they were mediocre at best.
I found a roach in the bottom of my Vietnamese ice tea mixed in with the ice. Apparently I’m not the only person to have had a roach issue here with my food.
Perfect ginger scallion tofu, green curry and vermicelli V1 with beef!
Stopped in for lunch which was a treat. The service was great from start to end.
For food, I got the spring rolls, pho (P1) and Saigon fried rice with chicken. My pho broth was good although I felt it needed fish sauce to improve the flavor.
The spring rolls were made with chicken and shrimp and tasted quite fresh!
Thé thaï tea here is just right —not too sweet but just right. The fried rice I got was to go but I took a little taste and it is definitely one of the better ones I’ve had here.
Overall I enjoyed my meal here; I would advise you watch where you park though. It’s a bit tricky around that area.
Solid, well done, Thai food.
This place has the best duck entree! But what upsets me is that in the past few months, every time we have tried dining here, they are CLOSED! (Tried like 5 times in 3 months maybe?)
To the owners of this place, we live so far away from your restaurant. Almost 30 mins drive. The least you can do is update your hours on Google so we all know.
Gas prices are high these days. These long trips are making your loyal customers sad.
We really don’t want to lose hope in this restaurant. Really frustrating, unfortunately!
I wanted to like the food but it was so bland and not really good definitely not worth the prices
Extremely disappointing food.

Used to eat here all the time. Still really good and one of the better Thai restaurants down town.
I had the Saigon wings and pad Thai, SO GOOD. I ordered it two days in a row. Wish the quantity of wings were more.
Have loved this place for years. Still wonderful.
Love it! Love the wings. Great curry. Great service.
Delicious. Excellent service. Great prices.
Very good and great prices I see people have said it was expensive on reviews, that it was$ 80.00 for dinner for 4 people LOL are bill for 4 people was 225.00 and that wasn't with the beers we had with dinner Will be going back again soon
Really disappointed with the food we got here. For one it was fairly expensive (~$80 for 4 people). But the big issue was all our food was terribly bland. My noodle dish had a watery sauce with no spices or flavors at all. The others in our group had similar experiences - no flavor, super bland. We all finished our food (not going to waste it), but unanimously decided that it's not worth going back here again.
Good side - all the food arrived very hot & fresh. But that's about the only good thing here.
Great food. Cozy environment. Quality service.
Food was great and our server Diamond was awesome!
I LOVE THE FOOD I WAS SO HAPPY TO EAT ORDERED FROM DOORDASH AND A ROACH CRAWLED OUT OF MY BAG MY JOB HAS TO EXTERMINATE NOW THANK YOU SAIGON CAFE GREAT JOB
Delicious food. Good for vegetarian
Amazing pot stickers
Good food ...friendly staff..deff will go back
Upscale but not up price. Short staffed when we visited.
Thai Basil rice & the fish sauce here is amazing!
Fluffy, light & full of flavor!
Large portions of delicious food with options for spice levels on all dishes. Service was fabulous for dine in and any time I have ordered take out, the staff has been equally as pleasant.
This place used to be amazing! I love pad Thai and I got it here all the time. It’s gotten pretty bland recently. I actually have mixed my own sauce to make it have any taste the last few times I’ve ordered. I probly won’t order again but their calamari is amazing and has an awesome sauce. Basically, they are amazing and also have some big opportunities. If you haven’t tried it I’d recommend giving them a chance; based on your taste preferences you may love it.
Service and servers, the best! All extra friendly people! Nice environment. Expansive menu. Lovely food, beautifully presented!
Waitress was very nice, food was good, but they have a roach problem they need to take care of..🤢
Four of us each had a different dish and all were great. Tamarind Thai. Yellow curry. Scallion Ginger. Crazy Noodles. Choice of protein with each dish. Great service. We will be back.
Good food, Diamond is awesome!
We had the most amazing waiter. My only issue is there was no central air. Food was delicious. Beautiful decor in restaurant too.
The staff helped me dine in by modifying their existing dish to vegan, and it still tasted great. I respect them respecting my food preference. I will definitely go again.
I’ve gon here a couple of times and always had pleasant experience, however, this new waitress has gon above and beyond. Not only is she nice and gets her job done (fast service) she’s genuine, funny, and good to all around. Thank you Diamond for making my experience even more amazing ❤️
Everyone working here is always nice. They were slammed tonight but somehow managed to get our order out fast and accurately. Been eating at this place here and there over the years and never had a bad experience. They do both Thai and Vietnamese and they seem to do both reasonably well! Can't go wrong with pad thai/see ew or a curry. I like the thai tamarind too.
The yellow curry was excellent
EXCELLENT-CREATIVE!
Pad Thai is amazing here
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal there.
Excellent
Had dinner here over the weekend. All food came wildly under-spiced, even the red curry which was asked to be extra spicy . Staff was clearly not pleased to be serving us, leaving us wondering what we had done wrong. The check came before we were finished eating.
One star is only because I wasn't able to give them zero stars. Me and my fiance had an appointment at 2pm and we stopped by for a quick lunch. Got there at noon and it was very quiet- only 1 other table there other than us. Ordered pho and we didn't get it until 130 PM. I've never had to wait an hour an a half for pho before. We had to rush to eat and then promptly leave. That wasn't hard to do, however. The pho broth was bland. Like zero flavor. I'm 90% sure it was just beef and noodles in water. Neither my fiance or I could even finish it because it was so bland. The waitress was wearing see through leggings and you could see EVERYTHING. Her panties and EVERYTHING. Not the best service plus she spilled my fiances hot pho everywhere. Will probably never visit ever again.
Best Pad Thai I have ever had!
There a little pricey, but food is good.
Great food, it's been a long time since I've had Thai food and Saigon Cafe definitely knocked out of the park. Thank you for the great food.
Always amazing 👏
Friendly staff and good food!
Outstanding Customer service & beyond delicious
Great and fresh as always
Got to go, the Pho Ga was well packaged and had a lot of fresh accoutrements. The meal was ready quickly and on time.
Great fare! Sneaky but important in this era is to have little to no loss of quality with to-go or delivery versions of the same meal, and they did a fantastic job translating their awesome dishes to a just as fantastic delivery product.
Great service and food! Highly recommend.
Big portions for good price!
Great service. Great food. Great location. Great prices.
Service was very good, food was tasty.
Wonderful service, great food. Amazing soup. So good!!!
