Low-key Thai joint in snug, homey confines serving familiar eats such as noodle soups & curries.
This place is a hidden gem in Lubbock! Don't expect fancy, but very low key family own traditional Thai place. The was amazing! very fresh, tasty and well portioned. We shared the chicken noodle soup and pad Thai and took some home.
It's self service, you order from the counter and they will bring it to the table. Very affordable for the quality and quantity of the food. The place is on the small side, it has about 4 booth and 5 or so tables, so it gets busy pretty easily. Highly recommended for those looking for authentic Thai food.
Do not let the look or location keep you from trying out this place. It’s a type of hole-in- the wall place that is just amazing. Staff is great and very nice. The food was amazing! I had the best wonton soup! The egg rolls were also great. The teriyaki chicken was so good and flavorful with the fried rice and steamed veggies to perfection! My boyfriend had the spicy chicken and the whole meal he kept saying “holy sh**” so beware it is true to the name. We will be returning for sure. :))
Great, great lunch and experience. Love it. First time here and we were impressed!
Best, most authentic Thai food I've had in years. Fresh and spicy flavor. The Yum Woon Sen was great. I ordered medium spicy and it was just right for me. The beef noodle soup was also good. Portions were generous and the price was affordable. We will be back next time we're in town.
4 stars because we'll try other things next time but there were some cons.
Pad Thai, both mild and medium, were both bland and had very little sauce. The chicken satay with peanut sauce was delicious. I ended up pouring the remaining sauce on my Pad Thai and it made it 1000% better.
We'll be back to try other dishes & maybe to ask for a side of the peanut sauce.
We're new to Lubbock so maybe this is normal but something to keep in mind when choosing restaurants is this one is pretty run down. Don't look at any of the window sills or dining room fixtures too closely. It didn't give off an unclean vibe per se & I'm guessing that rent and mortgage expenses make it hard for restaurants to maintain buildings, but this is definitely a "whole in the wall" type restaurant.
Bad serc6
Bangkok is home made deliciousness.

Huge menu, good food
😊
It's average used to be really good not very hot as I remember less portional sizes
Wow! This small hole in the wall Thai restaurant was incredible! The pad Thai and hot and sour soup were flavorful and spiced well. I’ll definitely be back.
Their Pad Tai is ok, but everything else I've tried on the menu is Terrible. I've had much better Hamburger Helper than the garbage they sell. I have know idea how anyone gives them 5 stars. They haven't had quality Tai food before. Go to Panda Express you will be much better off.
Great food and Friendly staff.
SO GOOD!!!
To trying out new foods to try
Pho LA was so good definitely would be back when I'm in lubbock.

Excellent customer service
Quiet 🤫 and Relaxing 🧘
I give five stars on the serving Amount, I bought the 4 meat fried rice Beef, Chicken, Pork and Shrimp
For the amount that you get $14.02 wasn’t bad at all.
However, It was LACKING FLAVOR VERY BLAND it needs some extra seasonings maybe like some ONION🧅powder and some GARLIC🧄powder. My plate was a little bit too DRY None of the meats🥩🍤🦐🍗🐖had any moisture/liquid, Even the Tomatoes 🍅 were dry. I will definitely 👍 try again maybe 🤔 something different.
The food was amazing it is so worth it and my meal was onley 10$ like what a deal
The absolute BEST Thai food in town!

I tried the panang curry yesterday. Panang is a favorite of mine and this did not disappoint!
It was a little different than what I'm used to but not in a bad way at all. Normally I'm used to it being a thick consistency, this one was more liquidy. It was amazing, some of the best I've had anywhere, and I've probably tried at least a dozen from different areas of the country.
Just great, and nice people too.
This place has the one and only beef noodle soup that matters! It's a piping hot bowl of delicious happiness! Can't find anything comparable anywhere else thats on PERIOD. I will always go out my way to eat here while I'm in town.
Hands down best thai food in lubbock. Family is amazing as well
Service is outstanding! My husband loooooves the food!
Panang curry, watered down, lacks flavor. Spicy chicken- carrots uncooked, chicken chewy and zero flavor/spice. Broccoli not even cooked/raw. This place was underwhelming and disappointing.
Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had!!
I've been going here for over 10 years, and it's the best Thai restaurant in town. The staff is friendly and the food is always good.
I have been a client for 30 plus years when he worked for Shoguns when he opened his restaurant I followed him. The food is delicious I highly recommended it. Every time I come to Lubbock this is my place to eat and always makes us feel like family. I would highly recommend it.
Thank you for making us feel right at home.🥰 I get mainly the stake and shrimp fried rice and vegetables but everything is really good there
Bro I got two pieces of shrimp in my pad Thai. Ik we’re in a recession but I didn’t pay 15$ just to get two pieces of shrimp and a fried egg in my noodles as a replacement.and then I didn’t even get the red cabbage like how they have it presented in the photo option menu.
Man the food was great!!!
My family and I have found a new favorite in town. Definitely a hidden gem in Lubbock. The Beef Panang is absolutely fantastic, the fried wontons are crispy perfection, and the little chips that come free with any meal are addicting. Today, my wife and I felt like soup and decided to give the Beef Noodle Soup a try, and holy cow...I honestly just expected a "fine" comfort soup, but it was outstanding and very flavorful. My 8 yr old daughter even loved it.
My wife had the Pad Thai from here the other day and she said it was just "fine", but honestly, I think this place really just does any kind of broth/soup so well that it's not worth taking any stars away from. Stick to any of their soups, curries, etc and it will be fantastic (though I'm sure there are several non-soup dishes that are good as well). And all this is coming from a guy that doesn't do soup-type dishes very often, but they're just so flavorful and filling that I'm going to have to go back and try several of their other similar dishes, cause I have very little doubt that they would be any less impressive.
I had a great experience here for my first time and thought I’d leave a review. The man working the counter was very friendly and helpful and kind when I ordered. The food came out quick, even during their lunch rush, and it was exceptionally fresh. I had the beef noodle soup and the portion size is excellent. I could not even finish it all! The broth was savory and the beef was well cooked. The noodles were just right and the veggies added that extra bit of taste and texture that made the dish that much better. For my first experience I thought it was excellent! I’ll be back without a doubt.
Their beef noodle soup is out of this world. Best I’ve tried out of all the Thai restaurants in Lubbock. Piping hot, quality meat and fresh ingredients. New go-to for beef noodle soup. Fast and affordable too! Most places change $13-15 for soup. My order was $10.
One of the best places to eat in Lubbock amazing is not even close to how good this place is even the spring rolls are the best thing I've ever tasted a must for anyone and everyone trust me you won't be disappointed if you agree 👍 it's a 5 star Lubbock attraction then comment please
Great food, very friendly service!
Food was great. Portion was HUGE! It's a little cramped and hot in dining room but don't let that hold you back from the great food and service.
First time customer, food is delicious and great price..will go back again most probably...
Best Thai food I’ve ever had… really amazing!
One of the best Thai places in lubbock!!!
No frills but delicious! one of my faves and easy to place to go orders.

DO NOT EXPECT THEM TO ANSWER THE PHONE! We have drove all the way into Lubbock to eat here and guess what they were closed! We have tried to call beforehand to make sure they were open and guess what? Their Phone was busy, then they wouldn't answer. How could their phone be busy one minute and just ring and ring minutes later? They have lost our business fore sure!
I dunno man. The pad Thai wasn't really that good. I didn't eat it. They're super nice there tho
Best Pho in Lubbock!!
Do not let the look or location keep you from trying out this place. It’s a type of hole-in- the wall place that is just amazing. Staff is great and very nice. The food was amazing! Great, great lunch and experience. Love it. First time here and we were impressed!
Unfortunately the sign says they would be open today. Very disappointing.
If you say your going to be open please be open.
Delicious!
Great pace great food thank you
This is my favorite place to get my Thai food fix!
Excellent. Thoroughly excellent. As authentic as it gets. FlavorFULL.
Chicken satay and chicken panamg, highly recommended.
Was very pleased with dinner.
I love this place
I am Thai. I went there and would like to say that they don't know how to cook Thai food but for the people that is not Thai. They might like it. Curry is taste like water, Tom Yum it no sour and not Tom Yum taste.
Service is friendly and prompt, and the food is fresh, hot, and delicious! My favorite is the Bankok Special.
Good friendly staff, great food and refreshing drinks collection.
Yummy.
Great food friendly staff
Great hole in the wall Thai place. Very fresh, very authentic. Not your usual ground up peanuts in Chinese food you get at a lot of places.
Food was good
Been eating here for years now. Never disappointed.
Enjoyed delicious food well prepared and quickly served. Owner is very nice and employees are nice and hard working. Great little gem in Lubbock!
Have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. It’s so good. Normally get the beef noodle soup and egg rolls, but I’ve had teriyaki chicken, fried rice and several other things and it’s all good. The 1 star reviews are just miserable people who must not like anything because it’s one of the best food joints in Lubbock period. If you’re scared of spice be careful though because medium will get you, maybe get mild.
My favorite place to eat in town!!! We found this place right when we moved here, and it remains our favorite years later. The food is always tasty, served up fast, and they can customize the spice to anyone's taste.
I like this place.
Panang curry was only okay at best. Eating in was also not that comfortable as it was very hot inside. Take out would likely be the way to go.
Another excellent choice.. Drive through window.., can be busy at lunch, and for good reason
Very good for the price, fair portions for fair prices. Food is pretty satisfactory as well, could use a little more flavor for a few things but no complaints
I've been going to the amazing restaurant for 8 years and it's always hot and fresh. And the employees there are sweet and hard working.
Fast and great service!
Pad Thai was very good
I had an amazing time here at this establishment. I highly recommend their beef noodle soup. I was recommended it by a friend and was not let down.
Great food for the price.
Had the ginger chicken, it was great. Nice filling portion size. Rice was good too. They have barqs root beer which is always nice.
Volcano soup is 5/5!
Good food... had the panang curry.... came out quick... place was a very typical Thai restaurant with plain/dated furnishings.
Small restaurant with amazing food! Fantastic egg rolls, spring rolls and Moo Sae Tae. Affordable pricing, friendly waitstaff. Highly recommended!
An absolute hole-in-the-wall gold mine! The place is small and is always packed when I try to eat. However, they prep and serve the meals extremely fast!
The building is over 50 years old, the place is humid, A/C is broke, and the dining furniture is well over 40 years old. However, it's worth the lack of luxury to enjoy a meal from this place! I've eaten here with a group of 20, as well as have brought a small group of friends and family here.
Food is delicious. And if you like it spicy, let them know, they've got different levels of heat at your disposal!
Amazing restaurant. My spouse had graduation and we needed a place to host a large size crowd, with kids that brought in fast food. The owner, waiters were all amazing and friendly. The food was excellent, the noodles, rice, soup was best ever! Highly recommended.
Tried this for the first time and saw that most people recommend the beef noodle soup. Got mild and to go. Smelt very good but when I tried the soup, it was soooo sweet and they gave me maybe 5 or 6 pieces or beef the size of a quarter. Very disappointed
Fantastic food, neat local place
Bangkok Thai is one of the best restaurants in Lubbock. The food is always amazing. The spicy Pad Thai is my favorite but you can’t go wrong with any dish.
The owner is always so friendly. Great prices, never have to wait when I call ahead.
I highly recommend this place!
The only problem I have is when you go to a described room we're derived through they have no pictures of the items you're looking to order. Plus the guy taking your order has a serious attitude on him. Very flamboyant!
Great portion sizes for a low price. Bangkok Thai is also always fast and tasty. Their food has never been out of character for me, as someone with a sensitive stomach I appreciate the care they take. Lubbock support this business!!
I go to this place about once a week with fellow employees. The place is small but the food is amazing. I get the pad Thai with the extra spicy and it has the right amount of food and heat with it.
fantastic service fantastic food fantastic price
It was good. I had Pad Thai and it seems a bit underwhelming. My friend had fried rice and likes it. So probably worth a visit. The staff was helpful and the food was served quickly.
Great food and great family owned local business. Been coming here for year's and it's always amazing.
This is one of the most hidden gems, in town. People who know, know. Food is phenomenal. Portions are huge. Flavor is amazing. Staff is awesome!!!
They provide a lot of food, we couldn't finish the food. Overall tasty and has lots of variation in the menu.
We LOVE Bangkok Thai! Their Beef Noodle soup is a favorite! It is similar to a beef pho. Their service is always so fast we always get our food minutes after ordering. Highly recommend giving this place a try!
Me and wife have been eating there for years. We love their Tai food
Pad Thai is incredible. Try it all!
Super delicious food. Really enjoyed the fried rice and the pork on the stick . The egg rolls was on point and the beef and broccoli with noodles and gravy !!!!!! Super fast service and friendly staff. Large portions !!!!!!! Definitely recommend!!!!!!
Beef (or pork) noodle bowl ALL THE WAY! This place MAY be breaking health codes and I don’t care. It’s fantastic
Unfortunately this was a No for me. I went in for Pho and it was the weirdest Pho I've ever had! When I got it I was so confused Like what the Pho is this??? The Beef is cooked! it had broccoli and cabbage in it! The noodles were cooked as well also very little Beef came with my order. There was no other meats to choose from like in authentic Pho you usually get thin strips of uncooked beef, tendon, tripe, or meatballs or all of these. There was no Bean Sprouts, Mint, Saw leaves, jalapeño or limes! I asked for Hossin Sauce and the guy at the counter said they didn't have any. I get my order and ask the girl who goes to her Dad and asks him and they did have some. If the guy at the counter would have just asked that would have been nice but he seemed more annoyed by my question. I added in the Sriracha and Hossin Sauce but it just did not taste good at all. The egg rolls were good. I was told that this place is really good so I will give it another chance but definitely won't be ordering Pho from here it's not Authentic Pho.
Worst Thai food we have ever had . No taste
I tried this place for the first time a few days ago. The sauce was sooo watery that we had to use bowls instead of plates. If I wanted soup, I would have ordered soup. The flavor was lacking as well. Just terrible! I will not be eating here again. My search for GOOD Thai food continues.
Very good food at an incredible price, tasty
Food cooked made to order, very nice people here.
Awesome food, great service. Pretty busy most of the time, but they've got it together so no worries. A++
Authentic thai food! Taste is amazing. Service is fabulous.
Good service, delish food.
Very good and very large portions for the price!
Had the beef and noodles the food was really good. There was just way too much cabbage in the meal.
I use to wk with Taco the owner of this place . Excellent and mouth watering food All ways .
Our first visit here which I told the cashier. My son and I went at 11:15am. We went early enough "thinking" we would get fresh food. Wrong! We ordered cheese won tons and chicken fried rice. The cheese won tons were so old and refried in oil. They were sooo hard. The rice was old too. We received our food within 8 minutes. My favorite food is Thai and always had it fresh. This place is NOT the place for freshness. Very disappointed!
Awesome and very delicious
Rice is extremely clumpy and chicken curry was very low effort.
Delicious curry
IMO, best brick and mortar Thai food in the Hub City. I’ve been a customer for nearly a decade now and will continue to be. Quick but great quality.
We always get Pad Thai (Hot) w/ extra chicken. Egg drop soup w/ rice chips to top it off!
Love it here! The food is authentic, fresh, delicious, and the staff is awesome, highly recommend this place
Love this place
Best in Town
Hopefully well be open went by to get dinner says they are open online to order and they where closed once i got there.
😥.
Will yall be open july1st or 2nd?
My favorite thai food place in Lubbock!
Restaurant was closed.
Great food and EXCEPTIONAL customer service...we visit this establishment at least once a week!! Beef noodle soup is AMAZING!!!
Pretty much once a week I'm ordering from this place. I always get their panang curry. I've tried the other places in Lubbock and I think they have good Panang too but there's something about this place I just really like.
Such good and friendly service. Me and my girlfriend got a Pad See Ew, BBQ Chicken, and a Thai tea and everything was delicious. Cannot recommend this place enough!
Came here on a whim and I’m so glad I did. Got the pad Thai and wonton soup. I’m picky about my wonton soup bc it is my favorite and I was so pleased!! The best one I have had in Lubbock and the pad Thai was amazing. Will definitely be coming again!!
Awesome experience everytime.
All of the dishes on the menu are good. And the people are even better. Go visit them.
Food was terrific. Great!
Excellent cuisine!!! Prepared fresh...will be going back again. Great prices as well.
Food is reasonable and very tasty
The Beef Noodle soup is incredible!
Always my favorite.
Thank you small business America and the folks at Bangkok restaurant for serving such amazing food!
Best little hole in the wall restaurant!
I've been a regular here for years and the customer service is simply wonderful. They treat you like family here. The food quality is solid considering the price and they are always willing to customize your order. Cleanliness could use improvement.
How I have I not reviewed this place yet!? It’s one of my favorite Thai places in town! Food is delicious, soup is great for a sore throat, and to-go portions are generous! Staff is always friendly. Love this place!
