Relaxed, strip-mall eatery offering curries, fried rice & other Thai staples in a laid-back setting.
You don't go to Chiangmai because it's nice or fancy, you go there because you want THE BEST Thai food you'll possibly ever have. Food is consistently excellent regardless of cook, and their magical kitchen will have your meal out in 2 minutes, steaming hot! You can tell the servers are experienced, long term employees; they're friendly, efficient, and seem to know all the usual customers.
Some of my personal favorites are the cashew chicken, pad Thai, vegetable paradise, [shrimp] fried rice, and fried rice in a hollowed out half pineapple. Bottom line... If you haven't tried Chiangmai, get in the car and go, now - except Monday, they're closed on Monday.
Decent Thai food. The reason I keep coming back is because they have a well marked menu with several gluten free options. Their curry is dairy free and tasty.
Waiter was so busy he came across rude.He was trying to correct me in what I wanted to eat? Food was better than ever. After we got our ticket,we were waiting on the receipt, finally he noticed we were looking funny and ask us was there something else? We need our receipt oh you need a receipt...uh yes.Ijs,all of this reflects on your tip,but I guess you seen that.
Went back recently and was disappointed by the service, food and experience compared to 9 months ago. Sticky, dirty seats and tables so was the menus. Soup was ok. Thai basil lacked flavor so asked for some spicy peppers or hot sauce or seasoning, didn’t get much but red crushed peppers, wet not dried peppers flakes and no other spices available to adjust. Tofu was fried up too much so it was dried, chewy. Couldn’t wait to get out of there. See following for comments from last year. Plenty of seating and menu items to pick from. Good service. Food portion is small for the price. The appetizer Thai dumplings fried was not worth it. Shrimp was tiny and barely worth it to put on top. Delicious food but expected more of experience for the price.
This was our first time in and had a delicious meal. It took a minute to read all the options on the varied menu and in the end chose a Beef pho and a shrimp dish. Along with steamed dumplings. The spice level was on point and customized to your taste and tolerance. They seem to do a good business in person and to go. The restaurant is set up with two dining section and the kitchen behind one section. Once we ordered our food came out quickly and was hot and fresh. Service was marginal, everyone was friendly but not attentive. Overall we would return if for nothing but to discover another dish.
Walked in at 8pm and I am now leaving at 818pm and not a single employee said a word to me, i stood by the host stand the entire time. I just wanted a to go order smh
Hit and miss you never know how the wait staff will be and how good the food is if hot.

My husband and I ordered same food, came my plate was much less quantity.
I usually not finish my plate when I go eat out,but I could eat more that time.
Also, each time spice was different level even I ordered same “hot”.
Waiter never came back for refill water either .
The real deal in Northeast Texas! If you love Thai, this is the place to go.
Best ramen bar in town! Fresh food every time and a superbly clean kitchen. Please STOP putting tomatos in the fried rice tho. It's atrocious. Anyway, I'll always eat here!!
Best pad thai in the area. I didn't go during peak hours, so I can't speak to the quality of the service you'll receive.
Wife had curried fish and loved it. .
After ordering pad thai at 30+ different restaurants around Texas, I can tell you their Pad Thai is better than Lil Thai House and is among the best I've had.
Bland, greasy, disappointing Thai food. Tried it twice now (panang curry, beef chow mein kee mao, red curry). Even asking for a spicier dish results in sub-par food. The curry sauce is flavorful but the chicken and veggies within taste like they were boiled plain first and have no taste or fragrance. I was hoping for better.
Horrible service sat for 20 minute+ non came to take order or offer drinks

Go to any random Thai place in Dallas and you will be blown away at how much better it is than this. This place doesn’t even use true wide rice noodles for pad kee mao
Food was quickly brought to us. Itwas great. 3 days later leftovers still yummy. We are going at least one weekly
This place is a great location for lunch or dinner! Authentic dishes with 5 levels of spice and tasteful food no matter what you order.
I don’t think I can be fair reviewing Asian Restaurants in East Texas (I grew up in the far East 10 years). The Spring Rolls were Really GOOD, that’s my number 1 measure! The dishes were more fusion than authentic and just didn’t meet my expectations. Service was great! I would recommend, overall.
Amazing!!!!
Ryan was our waiter. Great friendly service.
Delicious food with a nice variety to select from.
Delicious Pad Thai. Great Service and chill atmosphere. Just watch the spice levels. 4 out of 5 is still hot!!
Good flavors but serve very small portions and pricey .
The food was excellent. I had the Tom kha and the Pad See U
We love this place. Food is amazing and the service is always friendly and fast. Everything we have tried so far has been consistently good. Big menu, so we keep coming back for more. Favorite go to, Fried garlic rice.
Can’t review the food because the waitress never came to take our order. They apparently don’t need the business. No one but my son and I were there at the time.
Always wonderful food, friendly staff, cool that they got the new room next door.
I love them ☺️
Absolutely stellar. Not only was the food delicious but the service was spectacular. My drink didn't go below half full the entire time. The food was brought to the table extremely fast and our waiter was beyond accommodating. This has become a place I will continue to support!
By far one of the best places I have ever eaten at in Longview!!!!! I wish I had gotten pictures of our food, but I was so invested in eating it😫💖
We had crab ragoon and wonton soup for appetizers and then Tim got the pineapple curry and I got the beef noodle soup for our entires, and then to top it off, we had fried banana with some ice cream and all of that for 60 bucks!!
I highly highly recommend going if you haven’t!!!
Here for lunch. Tina was our server. She addressed our questions and dietary requests. The spice profile on the menu was accurate. We had Prik Khing chicken and the pineapple rice. We had a small issue with the order which Tina quickly rectified.
Bryan was amazing. He greeted us with a smile took out time to answer questions and I definitely come back.
Small portions, the flavor was fantastic but barely any meat. Lots of veggies and sauce. Also they forgot my rice, sadly I didn't notice until I got home. Placing the order was fast and easy, the person answering the phone was pleasant and easy to place order with. I placed a takeout order so can't say much about the atmosphere.
It is always excellent
Crab Fried Rice!!!
Their food is consistently amazing. Order your food at the highest spicy level you can tolerate. The levels are listed on the menu.
Thai food is largely about chiles and herbs. Enjoy that experience.
The Tom Yum soup is always amazing. The Num Yuah is equally special.
This is our new favorite place to eat when we are in the mood for Asian foods.
DELICIOUS!! OUR WAITRESS WAS REALLY NICE, FRIENDLY AND THE SERVICE WAS SUPER QUICK!!
I'm really unhappy to Dining in today. it's Easter holiday day so my uncle's first time in longview visiting, Today it last day he going to New York so I take him to the best Thai food in longview that I ever had. Today what Service do to us ,I don't know if you're having a bad day or something. Was very rude and disrespectful.First of all I ask her. Can we please order now? She said yes. She could just say, wait, I had to order someone else's first i'll be sure cause I am service, I understand. Then you get all our food thank you and then we finish it, you just check on us one time. And Never came back. we're ready to pay, We know you Busy but you let stand in the front and wait and wait for you. That is OK. We put the tips on the tables but you Start to mumbling in the front says that we don't give you a tip. You know why you don't see a tip because you don't even check on my tables. And when I leave , You decided YELL to used says that you're not gonna tip. I'll say it back to her you don't see in the table. And I ask her, why would she was being ruled at the first. She said I was rushing her. Girl??? Did you know what is RUNNING did I rush you saying where's my food, where's my stuff? NO Never. Or are you just being racist because I'm Asian?? Seeing us as Asian, it mean we don't tip. That's why you started yelling at us. So reason I want order Faster because I have to catch a plane My uncle is going back to New York. The first picture is showing loving did food I even tell my friends and family to go there. The second picture Is the airplane. thank you so much for food. but If she's still in there, I'm not coming back.
Good food and service. Opportunity to keep the restaurant and bathroom cleaner
The food at this place is simply amazing!
We drive a hour to come here and is always worth it!
Food and service was very good.
Their drinks is so gross food is ok
I was so excited when GPS took me to a strip mall. More excited when there was no big sign. Almost wet my pants when I saw the plants crawling up the walls inside. I haven't had Thai food this good since I moved away from Washington State in 2021. Tofu pad Thai 4 stars just like home.
Quiet atmosphere, quick service, and delicious!
Food was really good! Can't wait to go back and try a different menu item.
Great food and service. The 5 of us were able to eat so many dishes and enjoy a bottle of wine, all four about $100. Very reasonable and we were all full when we left. Loved it
The curry is delicious. Great service and atmosphere.
You owe it to yourself to try this place. It's got something for everyone!
Always great here at Chiangmai. Chinese sausage fried rice is amazing. Pad Thai was phenomenal. Best fresh spring rolls in Longview.
Worst and most rude manager I have ever dealt with. They double charged my card and after calling for over a week finally spoke with Tina who basically told me I’m overreacting and that she doesn’t know what I want her to do about it. Such a disappointment. New to the area and hoped this would be one of our go-to spots. Not with management like that.
I have been a (take out) customer here for the last year and a half, but the last few meals here have made me reconsider coming back. However, one thing I appreciate about the take out is that it is super fast, and if you're sitting down at the restaurant it's decorated really nicely.
The problem is that the food is wildly inconsistent. The amount of meat in a dish, the flavor, and the spice level (heat) is all over the place. No matter how it is ordered, sometimes it's super spicy, sometimes very bland. Sometimes lots of meat, sometimes hardly any at all-- and everything in between. I really appreciate having "local" restaurants around, which is why I have been a loyal patron, but I won't be returning.
For what it is worth, I called the restaurant before writing this and politely gave them the opportunity to make it up to me in some way. Instead of taking my feedback seriously, they blamed it on my decision to order online instead of call this last time, and said if I wanted a 50% off coupon I'd need to figure out how to get it through that 3rd party online service.
One of the best Thai food places in Longview.
Never fails to disappoint. Chicken Panang Curry 🌶🌶 🌶 is one of my go to dishes.
Tried to eat here for lunch today- took over 5 minutes to get menus and when we finally asked for some, the server responded, "You'll get them when I get to you!"
So, we left!
Probably the best Thai food I’ve had outside of Thailand. I liked the atmosphere because it was quiet and nicely decorated.
The Garlic Fried Rice is amazing!!
Why would you cut the shrimp spring rolls in half, they were so over stuffed with lettuce and loosely rolled and just huge and cut in half one bite made the biggest mess. The flavors of the crab rice wasn’t good either. Way Over priced food.
Dining in or taking out Thai K has always been A+ in food, staff, and atmosphere!
Ordered the Egg Rolls as an Appetizer... I've had better. Not recommended. Ordered the Cashew Squid. Squid was over cooked so it was like chewing rubber. Told the waiter and he apologized but didn't offer me to speak with the manager or comp anything in anyway. So, I was polite and paid. Still left a good tip. I just won't be giving them anymore business.
Wonderful food. I could go there every day.
Great selection. The curry dishes are so good. Pad Thai and chow mein are great too!
Pho here is AMAZING!!!
Needs better air handling and better lighting.
This is one of my go-to's when I'm craving some spicy Thai curry!! Never disappoints!!
The inside could use some updating but the food was delicious
Quality REAL Thai food. Wonderful food and the update to the restaurant is beautiful. The beef noodle soup “pho” is fantastic. Deep brown broth with tons of flavor. Meat could be sliced thinner per traditional pho but no real complaints. Garlic fried rice is amazing. Be careful with your spice. It is Thai chilis used.
Delicious food but expected more of experience for the price.
A good Thai place is hard to find around here. This place is great.
Service was a bit rough at lunch today. I don't fault the waitress as I believe they were under staffed. That being said it was some of the best chicken fried rice I have ever had! I can't wait to return!
I may of gone on a off day. But honestly the spring rolls were dry and bland. The chicken looked like the preseason cooked slices in bags from Kroger. And the cost for the taste was not equal in value. I will try it again. Because I love love love Asian food. Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean all of it. But they flavors and quality have to be there if they are going to charge 13 bucks for dry spring rolls with barely enough peanut sauce for one.
Excellent Thai food
I have been a regular since they opened and have always been very happy with the food, love the soups and apps! Service is always great, and Tina is the best!!
One of my favorites in town
Flavor flavor flavor! If savory is your thing, this is the place for you. Lots of menu options. Large portions.
Excellent food and very good service.
This is one of our go to places in Longview. I would highly recommend the garlic fried rice, pineapple fried rice, and any of the currys. My two favorite are the yellow curry, and Panang Curry.
Food and service were on point!! This was my 1st time there but will not be my last.
Me encanta toda la variedad de comida tailandesa que nos ofrece siempre, muy rico todo 😋🤤😁.
The food here is excellent, this place was my introduction into Thai food. I moved away sadly to the Dallas area. We try the Thai places every where we go and nothing compares. We've made multiple 8 hour round trip drives just to eat here. My favorite dish is the garlic fried rice with beef, nothing compares for me. Their curries and pad Thai are also great but it's the garlic fried rice with me. I buy 8 to 10 extras and deep freeze it. It actually reheats really well when I need my fix. I just ate here on the way to Arkansas and plan on making a big order on Tuesday to bring home. The customer service is excellent here and the staff is friendly. 5 star reviews are given out to much on here but this establishment is definitely deserving of one.
I eat here all the time and I love it. The Thai dumplings, wonton soup, bacon fried rice, and their mango and sweet rice dish are all fantastic options that I recommend to anyone.
Huge menu at this place! It made it hard to choose. The green curry was amazing. If you're up for a little dessert adventure, try the sticky rice with mango. It was different but good.
Good Thai option if you want something other than the regular every day restaurant. The wait staff aren't super nice but they are not rude. Just more interested in looking cool and getting your food out to you quickly.
This was my first time to try this restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised. I'm happy to know they offer many gluten free options. Thank you for putting it on your menu. It was only $30 for 2 people to eat lunch - a great deal IMO for a LOT of food!!
Just recently discovered this absolute gem! I’ve never tried curries until now, but every single one has been amazing! Has quickly become a favorite at our office! We haven’t found anything we don’t love!
I had pineapple fried rice. Super yummy. Served in a half pineapple. Shrimp, chicken, cashews. Yum!!
Feel the taste of Thailand in the US
First time here got the beef noodle soup. Broth was great but the beef had no flavor as of cooked separately and added.
Marked off bucket list.
Good food at a good price!
The best ever
Food is always pretty good.
Never been to a Thai restaurant. I wasn’t sure to give it a 5 star. Then too many people will be crowding it. I had the SUPER GRILL. That was the best meal I’ve had in a long time. The shrimp, chicken, beef & vegetables were perfect. The spicy was just enough heat. I’m a pepper head anyways.
The food was amazing with the perfect amount of heat!! I highly recommend it if you're in the area. I live @ 40 miles from there and I'd make the drive to eat there.
Delicious! I recommend the coconut soup!
Love this place. It is one of the most authentic Thi restruants in Longview. I go almost on a weekly basis. If I have an opportunity to go out, this place is always on the list. Still one of my favorite places to visit. Top 3 dishes (in my opinion) Garlic chicken fried rice, street style krapaw with beef, and the massaman curry.
Friendly service and quick takeout
This is one of my favorite Thai places to eat. Can never get enough.
It was very good. Our waiter, Peyton, was wonderful. My husband, a curry lover, said the red curry was wonderful and the level of heat (2) was perfect.
This is a weekly stop for my family. Incredible Thai dishes. They make my favorite green curry by far
Surprisingly good Thai food here in Longview texas. I've eaten Thai food all over the world at home or in restaurants.
Ordered delivery and the food was packaged great and was delivered still hot. The only negative was that it wasn't spicy. When ordering they ask you how spicy you want it and I said medium on three of the orders and super spicy on the 4th order. Nothing had any spice no heat no chilies!!! This broke my little Asian heart. But the food was still tasty and everybody was happy.
Awesome food and service. Small restaurant but very homey. Choices can be mild or spicy and adjusted for allergies. Very enjoyable
Update. Complained about roaches being on table and food and they just laughed and walked away. Did not care about sanitation and still have roach problem. Will never come back.
Really good food. I'd go back
Amazing delicious Thai cuisine!
Please open your restaurant in Shreveport!
Had the Duck Curry and Yellow Curry for my Husband and I. It was very well spiced as requested. Food was very good and service was great. They do alot of takeout orders. We will return.
Last visit was upsetting. I always order the same dish with a spice level of 1. Everything looked normal with a small pinch of peppers on the top of the meal. What I wasn't expecting were the extra peppers underneath. My mouth was instantly on fire when I took a bite of the food touching that second dose of peppers.
But here is were the real problem begins... My husband's water was already empty and I quickly drained the last bit of mine. He asked the Server (Tina F, according to the receipt) for more water. She proceeded to finish cleaning a couple empty tables and then went (presumably) to get more water. I was visibly uncomfortable from the unexpected peppers. So after waiting a couple more minutes he carried the glasses up front to get refills. Tina was checking someone out....and my husband bringing the glasses up front for refills upset her.
I understand that restaurants get really busy at lunch. My husband has worked in several bars and restaurants in the past so we are really sympathetic to those in the service industry and our tips usually reflect that. But the attitude and demeanor of Tina F, will absolutely keep me away from there for the foreseeable future. After the initial "Water Incident" she sweetly spoke with the table next to us thanking them for "being so patient" then with a deadpan face and monotone voice turned and asked us if we needed anything. I think the situation could have been salvaged but her body language and tone of voice, when compared to how she interacted with everyone else, made it clear she just wanted us gone... and yes, I did still tip. It was only 13% which is very low for us...but as uncomfortable as I felt just sitting there, it was generous.
Amazing food!
I ordered pad thai to go with no peanuts and specified that it was because of a peanut allergy. They gave me peanuts anyway, so my daughter couldn't eat any. It's a good thing I checked, or we would have had to go to the hospital due to their negligence.
So disappointed to report that the place was so dirty - floors not swept, cabinets hanging on their hinges, cobwebs on the ceiling, bathrooms filthy. The chicken in my pad Thai was cold to lukewarm. Won’t be coming back
Ever since I moved to back to Texas and discovered this restaurant, I was in love. I would always get the Whole Crispy Tilapia with the rice and veggies and spring rolls it would be so delicious and make me sooooo happy! However, I’m not sure what has happened. Over the last month I have gotten the whole fish 5 times and 2-3 of those times the fish was spoiled and cooked and served to me. It smelled rancid when i took a piece. I sent it back and they made another one and that too was spoiled. They didn’t seem too phased by it! I didn’t ask for my money back but I should have. I just said I wouldn’t go back anymore. Tried again today and decided that’s it no more! I spent $30.00 and the didn’t get all of my food and what I did get was cold except the spring rolls one of the sweet cooks ran out to me. I understand they were in rush hour for lunch and doing the best they could with hardly no staff members on hand but still it’s nice to count on them for lunch as a high quality restaurant to provide a fresh meal for the prices they charge. I hate to lose them as they started out so well and it seemed like they cared more about providing quality dishes at first. I have friends who have stopped coming back here as well because the quality has gone down.
Hi there I just wanted to bring to your attention an issue I had today. This was my first negative experience with Chiangmai since moving to Longview 3 years ago. At 5pm I placed an order for pick up at 630pm. It was for 1 chicken pad Thai and a Boba tea. I am a physician working nights so I placed it at 630 so I could pick it up and get to my shift which starts at 7pm. I get to the restraint at 640pm and my order isn't ready. I didn't understand why it wouldn't be ready when I had placed the order so far in advance but I sat down and waited. A young man got my Boba tea ready for me and I was appreciative of that. I was finally given my order a little after 650pm and asked to speak to the manager Tina but was told that she was busy and did not have time to talk to me. The young man helped me again and was nice and calm. I just explained that I didn't understand why my order wouldn't have been ready and would have liked an explanation. I felt like I didn't matter and that Tina was avoiding me because of what she thought would be potential conflict. I felt like I was poorly treated and wanted an explanation. Either way, I hope my experience does not happen to anyone else and hopefully Chiangmai can take actions so no one else has to experience it. Thank you
How in the world is this place getting 4.5 stars. They committed restaurant sin by running my credit card without seeing my check so I knocked off a star... now to the food, it's mediocre but if you want thai food this is an option to try. It's very thai tex-mex. This is what I "think" they do, they precooked the meat for all the dishes... then they throw the cooked meat in the dish and warm it up. So my curry sauce was ok but the meat and veggies were BLAND! Now that I think about it, that's another restaurant sin when I am paying 30 bucks for a meal. Oh and the rice was not good at all... overcooked and zero flavor and i think it was plain white rice. But it was late Saturday and in longview but my thai friends mama would yell at me for eating this. Oh ps, the bus boy at this place is crazy good, I tipped him separately because he was working hard and I truly appreciated it. He was the best part of my dining experience.
Nice little place with plenty of options. The food was tasty, and service was good. Those who aren't used to spicy, use caution, they don't offer refunds if it's too spicy for you.
I was shocked to find a good Thai restaurant in Longview of all places, great prices too.
COVID got me super spoiled to getting takeout and I’ve never actually dined in here but the food is AMAZING! The staff is always friendly both over the phone and in person! The shrimp pad Thai and Thai tea are my favorite items to order! Very well priced for the large portions and tastes incredible!
The food was good
Absolutely incredible food.
My first time there and it won't be by last time
This is my favorite place to eat with my daughter. 🥰
It is tucked away in the corner of the strip mall. Curbside appeal is a little deceptive.
Food was excellent 👌. Good flavor and portions.
Appetizers were Chicken Spring Rolls and Fried Pork Belly. 😋 Sauces were spot on.
We ordered Garlic Fried Rice and Spicey Duck for main courses.
You don't even have to be into Thai food and this place would change your mind.
Plenty of different choices and preparations.
For us,this isn't a one time stop for one or two favorites. We will be back repeatedly to explore the menu further.
Manager is awful and racist
10/10 so yummy!
Food is flavorful. Roaches are a real problem here. I only order to go and yet see roaches when I pick up my order and other patrons see them at their tables.
