Had to edit my original five star review to one. The sushi side of this restaurant was perfect- as usual. The thai side, not so much. They somehow lost two thirds of our order! He nonchalantly said, "sorry. We were busy". I had to reorder and wait. He offered no discount, no drink while you wait, NOTHING. Terrible customer service and the potions were small. Sad b/c this place used to be one of our favs.

Nice fast service on a Saturday night. Sushi, onigiri, & kani salad was delicious. Didn't love the pad thai but I'd definitely go back for sushi.

The people working here are clearly racist. My mother and I, the only people of color in the dining area, waited a good 20 minutes for service, and our food didn’t arrive until 30 minutes later. All while some white ladies were served first, despite arriving later.There was also a black man who wasn’t being paid very much attention and even had to get up and grab his own menu.

Ordered pad Thai. Waited over 30 mins for barely passable pad Thai. Thai 5 was so much better

We are vegan and this was our 2nd visit within a week. Just a small little place, but the food was second to none. My first dish was the Amazing and my 2nd was the Green Curry dish. The owner and staff were super friendly and the service was excellent. We found our new favorite go to spot.

I went to this restaurant for the first time on Monday. It's a very small restaurant, about 6 tables, and they do have wait staff to see to your needs. However, I went for takeout and they seem to have a great takeout setup. I ordered the Spring Rolls, which are vegetarian, and they were excellent. The outside was cooked to a lovely crisp, and the inside filling was yummy and not dry. I had the Shrimp Pad Thai which was delicious. My daughter had the Tofu Pad Thai which she enjoyed very much. My husband had the Vegetable Delight with Shrimp, which had a sauce and was flavorful with crisp veggies that were not overcooked. The staff was also helpful. The only drawback for me was that the food was served in styrofoam, but they did have some foil in the containers separating the food from the Styrofoam. I would definitely eat here again, and perhaps ask if I can take my own bowls.

I ordered the Red Curry with Shrimp.
A whole 4 shrimp, and no green beans as menu states.
For $20 Ill go somewhere else.

Found this place because a friend posted that they had the best Pad Thai he’d ever had! I ordered the Pad Thai, fried rice, and Pad See Ew. The man taking my order, who I assume owns the place, also insisted I try the lemon grass tea and gave me one for free. He made all of the food very quickly - under 5 minutes, and then gave me a 15% off coupon for next time. Everything was delicious!! Will definitely be back as the food and service were amazing.

Of the many panang curries I have experienced in my lifetime, this ranks in the bottom portion of my list. The restaurant was under construction so takeout was the only option.

The curry was inherently watery and the flavor seemed diluted, very little spice whatsoever. The veggies were good and plentiful which helps the ranking a bit. If you enjoy spicy robust curry this place isn’t for you.

This place was my favorite during pre-covid and they stopped letting people dine in.

Food was so good. We got chicken satay, chicken gyoza, drunken noodles, and mango sticky rice. Wish I’d have taken photos but we devoured it before thinking of leaving a review.

Didn’t catch his name, but the employee there was so friendly. Even gave us both free samples of their lemongrass tea which is very tasty! (Also, have read lemongrass tea is a natural mosquito repellent so worth a shot 😂)

We took it to-go, but Noho Junction does have seating and fun table games/darts/TV to entertain yourself with. If that place got more foot traffic and filled each counter with different vendors, would be such a cute food court to hangout at, maybe even work from if they have WiFi (I didn’t ask).

This used to be one of my favorite places, but it's really kind of gone downhill. My orders have been cancelled the last two times I placed it because they didn't have the dishes - and they didn't have the replacement dishes. The prior time they got my order wrong even though it read chest on the receipt they provided. The dish I ordered for my friend was seasoned wrong. Ireally hope they can come back from whatever problems they're having, but right now I can't recommend Thai 5, you'll probably get the wrong order if you even get one.

I really enjoyed the beef pho. Didn’t expect the best pho figuring I ordered pretty late on a Saturday night but it exceeded my expectations. I've tried four different meals here and they've all been amazing. The food tastes super fresh and genuinely delicious. It's like every dish has its own unique, authentic flavor that makes you want to come back for more. Honestly, it's just really good food!

A little pricey for lunch but there are very nice and the food is great.

I ordered takeout from here for the first time. They were out of every appetizer except chicken wings. They were out of the noodles for pad woon sen, which I wanted to order. I got pad see ew with shrimp instead, which was the blandest version of it that I've ever had. It had no sauce, just dry noodles with zero flavor.

I also got the crab fried rice, which was OK, but overall the place was a huge disappointment. Won't be going back.

Came here for a late night meal. Ordered Thai fried rice and chicken and pepper. No flavor of Thai in the food, it’s just rice chicken and soy sauce. Poor flavors.

Not sure how they have so many stars. Food is Mid at best. Maybe it was what we ordered.
The Crab Rangoons were barely filled and we had to throw out both orders, it’s was literally fried wonton wrappers.
The rice was plain everyday white people rice. So gross. The curry we ordered was plain, the protein was dry and tough.
Will never return.

The pad thai noodles where hard and chewy.

The shrimp-chicken Pad Thai was not delicious at all. Noodles were very chewy, chicken wasn’t tendered. The amount of shrimps (4) and pieces of chicken were extremely small. The food was too salty, couldn’t finish it. Had a stomachache thereafter

Disappointed. What I ordered was spicy drunken noodles with chicken, basic Thai dish, right? No effort was made in making this dish even the tiniest bit delicious. It was as if the person cooking had no idea what Thai food was. What I got was bland flat noodles with zero flavor tossed with old chicken or chicken that was reheated and thrown back into the mix. The portion was large but that didn't matter because I ate maybe 5 bites then tossed it in the trash. Never again.

Great Thai food, and relatively fast…lives up to the name. Had the pad Thai and it was good, could have used more meat but that is a personal preference. We will return and a great option for grab and go.

Got door dash delivery with high hopes, unfortunately it disappointed some. The Tom Kha soup wasn’t even coconut based unless it was just a mistake that was sent, the garlic and black pepper chicken entree was very soupy and just overall lacking certain complex Thai flavors. The larb gai was probably the best overall. There’s better take out and delivery Thai options.

I love this place… Don’t expect a formal experience as this is a Thai street food place in South Tampa, mainly designed for carry out at the pick up window. Just order ahead and roll in and grab the awesome food. The Pad Thai never disappoints. They always make it with the freshest of ingredients and give you enough for two meals!

It came out pretty quickly, but was clearly fresh and made from scratch.

I was told by the barber next door (also an awesome spot of you need a hair cut- the Perfect Image) that they have authentic spice. So they told me to start off with medium and it was perfect! I didn't notice the spice too much at first (but admittedly told them I wanted low to medium heat), but got a little of the mouth burn and watery nose half-way through. So I was very happy with the balance! They even included extra peppers and hot sauce so I could add more if I liked :)

I have ordered here sooooo many times and I love the food. I live right down the street. I usually get the Lad Na, but I get it without noodles and just get a side of white rice.
I call today to order it and the person who answered the phone said they could not do that, that the new chef is unable to remove the noodles. I thought everything was homemade here, kind of confusing since I was only asking to remove the noodles. Kind of disappointing. didn’t even get to order

We've eaten here a couple of times. We had Pad Tahi with Tofu, and a Pad Thai with Chicken. The first time the food was okay, but I had ordered my Pad Thai Chicken Thai Hot, and there wasn't a lick of spice in the dish. The second time we went they seemed overwhelmed and understaffed. And the meal sucked. Imagine the most salty sodium loaded dish you could serve someone. Wait, you don't have to, just order dinner from Thai 5. And once again, Thai Hot was Thai Not. I wont Thai up any more of my time or money eating here.

great thai food, chicken wings are done right. Way better than any other chicken wing place out there. I tried something different this time; an eggplant dish and it was absolutely delicious. I gave 4 stars for atmosphere cause it doesn't offer indoor seating anymore since COVID-19 so their pickup window is on the busy South Dale Mabry which isn't a great atmosphere. I suggest if they can move this outdoor area in the back near their kitchen backdoor it will be a more pleasant seating area. as for the 4 stars in atmosphere if I would to give a lower star this place does not deserve due to current situation and location. it is what it is.

Authentic, flavorful and full of fresh ingredients. Sometimes Thai food can be too heavy and overpowering, when eating in the states. This is the authentic, real deal, and leaves you feeling good after.

We got the panang curry, which was soup like and the perfect consistency. The white rice was cooked to perfection to have on the side.

The Tom Ka was flavorful. The pad Thai was the perfect amount of sweet, I have a hard time finding good pad Thai but this was it!

We will certainly be back

They have the best crab fried rice. Real crab, not that imitation crab either. The portion is huge, i usually have it for dinner and the next day for lunch

I ordered Uber eats from Thai 5 Fast Food. The portion sizes are big, but
that’s about it. I ordered the beef salad and basil chicken and ate it as soon
as I got home. The beef salad was covered in red seasoning and all of the salad greens were soggy (cucumber, lettuce, tomato). The basil chick had a strange overwhelming flavor, and the container was full of liquid (it was like soup). The food had a strange taste, and it was not fresh. I would not recommend this place.

The young man working here just ran out food out to us IN A LIGHTNING STORM! Such courtesy is really rare (we felt so bad)! Food was delicious as well. Will come back for sure!

Our to go containers were not “car safe” for the road. The Saran Wrap under the foam takeout box was full of teriyaki sauce and spilled in the car. The food overall was okay, not the best tasting teriyaki sauce. We got the spring rolls, beef teriyaki, and chicken & shrimp teriyaki with noodles. Meat was dry, even with the extra sauce

This place may not be the most beautiful when you drive up... but let me tell you this place is a gem. Since COVID they don't have inside seating but all you do is go to a walk up window, order, and 5-10 minutes later they're handing you your food. The food is always carefully wrapped, piping hot (even when you get home) and taste authentic. My boyfriend and I are picky about Thai as there are a few places back by our old home that's great but this is just as good. They have the most flavorful and saucy Pad Thai I've ever had. One slight mid mark I would give them is the spice level... I can easily do Thai hot but still taste great. Our favorites are the Pad Thai and Red Curry. Order hot/Thai hot and thank me later.

The food had no flavor at all. They gave us burned chicken. The Buffalo sauce was expired. The drunken noodles tasted like cardboard. This place used to be good. They also made the excuse that the chicken was fresh & the cook probably didn’t know how long to cook them when I called to complain.

Yummy!! I was visitingLargo/Clearwater area & had a craving for Thai food. Restaurant was very clean & the food was amazing!! Customer service was outstanding! I will definitely come here again the next time I’m in the area. Oh & as others said, portion size is great too. I may just take the hour drive sometime in the near future just to eat here. I’m very picky when It comes to Thai food, but I can truly say this place would be worth the drive! 😀

The quality of food was better when they started, they used to give more chicken but now they only gave me 2 pieces of chicken and the rest of the chicken ws crumbles, and this is the second time that happens, I guess after covid-19 since most is to go, they kind of shorten the portions .

We ordered our food (small order- 2 entrees and possibly an app) at 12:33 pm through grub hub. We were getting extremely hungry as the app kept saying it was “delayed.” We finally called Thai 5 at 2pm and we were told that it’s our fault because we used grub hub instead of a different delivery service. He also informed us that they do not make the food until the driver gets there and pays for it. We have been going to Thai 5 for years now and now all of a sudden this happens. So just a heads up everyone, pick the right delivery service and expect a very long wait time.

They have really skimped on the meat portions lately. Also, the sashimi is VERY disappointing and all three of the thinly sliced salmon had skin on them. Not coming back unless we just want a noodle dish.

This is one of my go-to places for takeout in South Tampa. The food is great quality, and there are so many options! I love that I can get fresh food, lots of vegetables, tofu, and sushi all at one place! Also, Boba Tea!

Me and my boyfriend John's favorite is the Tom Ka with Shrimp. We get it every time with the sushi Mexican Roll. Always trying something new on their menu never disappoints. Shrimp and food is always fresh. Fantastic place to eat. My favorite takeout. The food is very flavorful just love it. Service is super polite. Great food for great prices. Worth ever penny. Fantastic bang for your buck. Portions amazing. I cannot tell you I been to places and nothing compares still number 1 in our book hands down. Best Kept Secret in South Tampa. Overall amazing experience. 10 Stars

Just awesome. The quantity is more than enough for one person. We ordered spicy fried rice with fried tofu. It was one of the best we have had so far! Definitely recommended.

Not much thai food under my belt but I must say I was very satisfied with my food, the customer service and the convenience of ordering.

The food was really good, we got a cashew beef bowl and pad thai. The pad thai smelled great. My only gripe was that I wish there was more cashews in my dish, but large portions make up for that.

Great food and great prices. Their rewards program is worth the couple minutes to sign up. Favorites are Pumpkin Curry with Chicken, Yum Beef Salad, Drunken Noodles, Duck Fried Rice.

Foods cooks well and in good time. However, in my opinion, it lacks flavor in some aspects compared to other Thai restaurant experiences I've had.

Worst drunken noodles I've ever had. The noodles were dry and rubbery. The chicken was overcooked. The egg looked like a dirty scrambled ball. And they sprinkled a line of pepper over top everything. The Thai tea is okay, very watery. And the mango sticky rice was not good (the mango was good) the rice was trash and there was no cream overtop. Super disappointing food.

I was so excited to try this!! I ordered at the window and patiently waited for my food. I received my ordered and headed straight for the car so that I could dive in. I ordered a strawberry Milk Boba, which, to my surprise was.... frozen?? It was awful. I ordered a lunch box and decided this would turn things around. I waited 15 almost 20 minutes for my food and everything in my box was luke warm at best. Flavor was decent, noodles were different but good. Overall, not impressed :(

Not the best in South Tampa but it is cheap, quick, and fast.

The food is just okay and the service was even worse. When I called to order take out the other person on the phone answered the phone by saying "Yeah" .... this should have been a huge red flag to hang up and try another Thai place! Maybe don't put the person on the phone who is clearly a young kid who doesn't care about doing his job. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and placed my order anyway knowing this place was almost 30 minutes from me. The food looked good on the menu. Upon arriving and looking at the receipt I realized there was an error on my order and I brought it to his attention. He was pretty rude about it. Claimed the way I said it on the phone was "confusing"....again if he actually cared to do his job properly he would have just asked me to clarify anything I had said over the phone. He never even read my order back to me to confirm my order. Anyway he was just flat out rude and the food was mediocre. Even if I was a much closer distance away I would NEVER come back to this place.

I love this place. It is amazing food, nice people, and big portions. Plus, it is a local joint. My go-to is the drunken noodles. My wife likes the sushi or pad Thai.

I ordered a Thai basil hot, and my ordered had absolutely no Thai basil in it (literally not even one leaf) and it wasn't hot. I even said "is the Thai hot actually hot? I like it pretty hot." I was very disappointed.

Definitely the best Thailand food in the city of Tampa! You don't have to drive elsewhere to get other options of Thai food other than THAI 5!
