I was craving curry, so the waiter suggested the yellow curry. The little minions ordered the kid’s chicken fried rice. My SO ordered the drunken noodles. The service was fast, and the food came out piping hot! The only problem was…..everything was so sweet. Ridiculously sweet. I thought I was mistaken, but my SO tried the boys’ fried rice and my curry, and he agreed it was way too sweet. We will not be coming back.

Craving some Thai food and hadn’t had a pad Thai in a long time.

First off, came in for lunch and on their menu so many dishes were only $9.99, which was great since you usually see it to be around $13 or so.

I ordered the pad Thai and thought I would be given a small lunch portion given it’s only $10, and well, it was a lot of food! I finished it all and the pad Thai is exactly how I like it. The flavor was there and it was a lot of noodles, I mean, a lot!! So worth it.

Went for lunch on a Saturday in February. The service was really good, the team was efficient and they worked together in taking our order and picking up our dirty plates from the table. The restroom was clean as well. It’s a nice little spot where the food was good, professionalism high, and the cleanliness was good.
Saw a few families with small children too, they all seemed to have a good time as well. Glad the restaurant services could provide for kiddos too.

Food is excellent (5/5) provided you have time to dine in. Curb side Pick service is the worst of the worst, no one answered my phone call.. I saw people going inside to pick it up. So I also went inside , in my pyjamas, to pick it up. There is hardly any sincere apology. Pick up time is minimum 15 minutes later than what they mention to you online. So count all that if you want to pick up. This restaurant requires some Americans (White OR African Americans) to understand the customer service. All their workers appear from Asia and they don't understand the customer service that pick up is a very important service.

So I feel bad writing this review because it’s made me realize that, of the many times I’ve eaten here and enjoyed it, I’ve never taken the time to write a good review—but here we go.

Unfortunately, my most recent experience was a huge letdown. The food was honestly pretty terrible. The dishes were bland, poorly seasoned, and cold—definitely not the quality I had come to expect. My meal was honestly unappetizing, and I couldn’t even finish it. I hate to say it, but I won’t be coming back anytime soon unless there’s a major change in the kitchen. It’s disappointing, because this place used to be a favorite. Hopefully, they can turn it around.

This used to be my mom and I's favorite Thai spot in the DFW metroplex! However recently, I don't know if they changed owners or changed jobs but the food hasn't been as good in the past few months as it used to be. For example, recently my mom and I got takeout and when we tasted we realized none of our noodles had sauce on them or flavor. I had to add oyster sauce and garlic powder once I got home. The food just didn't taste the same as it used to (and we get the same time every time so I know how it used to taste). I don't know if this instance was an oversight where they forgot to add sauce or seasoning, but we noticed the food has changed. We will still probably eat here, but I wish the food tasted the same as before.

I generally don't like leaving negative reviews for places but think it's important to share my experience here in case anyone with a severe allergy decides to visit..

I want to start by saying I only eat halal meat, which is why I could not eat their chicken..

I ordered a shrimp pad Thai, they gave me a chicken pad Thai so I sent it back and told them again that I ordered a shrimp pad Thai.. they apologised and 15 minutes later bring me a shrimp pad Thai.. as I was eating it I found pieces of chicken in it. It seems all they did was remove the chicken and replace it with shrimp. I flagged our server and he immediately took it into the back, I told him I did not want it re-made and he was very apologetic. He removed it from our bill and offered me a free beverage which I declined. Though the server was nice, something like this should not happen in a respectable restaurant. This was very disappointing so say the least, will not be returning.

This is a cool little Thai place with excellent food, smiling servers and decent prices. I order from here 2 to 3 times a week!

Saturday lunch. Friendly efficient service. My red curry was chock full of fresh veggies with the perfect snap. Generous tofu. I got the mild but would ask for level 2 next time. Husband had a veg and noodle dish with beef, mild and it was very flavorful.

This is my favorite Thai food restaurant. It’s always fresh, hot and delicious. The crab Rangoon, orange chicken, sweet basil fried rice and tom kha Gai are all sooooo good. They have good lunch specials and are always busy at lunch time.

I visited Thailand several times over the decades and eaten a lot of genuine Thai food there also Thai food here in the US.

Sweet Basil is superb! Wonderful flavors, currys, and spices that put me right back in Thailand! Love the flexibility and willingness to accommodate my specific tastes and combinations. That is the sign of a very good chef. They can cook to order.

The wait staff is friendly and very courteous. They are also eager to please and very knowledgeable of the menu and foods. I loved the ambience of Sweet Basil. You step off the street in Hurst to enter a restaurant in Bangkok. Enjoy!

Had the combination Fried Rice. Lots of flavors. Btw. They have soy sauce at the table. Don't use it. It is incompatible with Thai herbs and spices.

I've passed bye this unassuming store front restaurant dozens of times and, boy, I've been missing out. My belly wanted soup and I went there to order my favorite... the Tom Kha with noodles. I've had this dish all over the country, and this one was exceptionally. Creamy, sour, tangy, sweet, and at level 3 heat, the perfect amount of spicy. Plenty of mushrooms to soak up that fabulous broth brought the perfect umami flavor. I got it with chicken, and I'll for sure try the shrimp next time. The curries looked fantastic also. The service was spectacular. Very kind, inviting smiles, and super helpful. Despite being very busy my food came out quickly. Hot and fresh! My only small complaint is that in the Texas summer heat, inside the restaurant was a little balmy and stuffy, but certainly not so bad it'll keep me away. I'm very thankful to have found this spot.

We have ordered from here many times and it's been great. It definitely was a go to during COVID. We actually dined in a few nights ago and the service wasn't good. We got a menu and drinks but then got forgotten. 15 minutes later someone finally came over and took our order. We got the food pretty quick but it wasn't great either. The sauce was really good but the meat itself was very bland. This trip won't stop me from going back since it's been so good in the past but maybe we will just do to go orders going forward.

This has been our favorite weekly dinner for so many years now! The food is amazing and I usually end up taking a to go box home because of the portion sizes. I know raving about iced tea seems crazy, but it really is the best! The staff there is so great and even though they may not know our names, they know our faces and are so great to visit with! AMAZING Tom Kha soup and the BEST Pad Thai I’ve had in DFW, and I’ve had sooooo many. I also am obsessed with the duck curry. The staff is also amazingly friendly and welcoming. I’m a Thai food buff and this is my favorite place to go.

Curry was good. Be warned tho, "coconut ice cream" is actually DAIRY ice cream with coconut in it. As a vegan who is lactose intollerant, i asked before i ordered and they said it was okay but after i started eating it, something seemed off. I asked them to double check and sure enough, dairy. They were nice enough to take it off the bill, but now i still get to deal with lactose hell. Thanks.

A lovely local Thai spot. Cozy, clean and quaint inside with cultural decor. The ladies who run the restaurant are wonderful. Service is fast and friendly. One of my favorite places to pick up food or dine in at! I highly recommend their veggie egg rolls and tom kha with either chicken or pork. My favorite entree I also recommend is their Thai BBQ pork- absolutely delectable. And you cannot go wrong with their coconut lemonade and custard sticky rice for dessert!

Misleading information is being told at this place. So, I actually loved this place and had been eating there for years when I found out there are no vegetarian options. When I initially asked about the curries and the Tom yum soup, I was told it was vegetarian broth and no meat was used. So I sent a fellow vegan and he was told nothing in the menu is vegetarian Bc they use chicken broth in everything, including the curries and stir fry’s plus they use fish paste in the curries anyway. I am only mad bc I was told by several employees it was vegetarian. I asked if it just changed and they said no, it’s always been like that. So I ask why I was told it was vegan, and they said they didn’t know chicken broth wasn’t vegetarian and or fish paste. So now I don’t trust anything from this place, and rightly so Bc I’m vegan.I don’t think it was on purpose of course, and they are mostly nice people there. But imagine all the animal biproducts i have unknowingly consumed. It’s just so gross and I wanted to review it so other vegan can know what their getting into. I honestly don’t know what’s going on there Bc my stomach normally gets upset if I eat something with any biproducts in it. I will say the stir fry’s and Currie never hurt my stomach but the soup definitely did the last time I consumed it. So it’s just a toss up about who really know what they cook with, but I’m not going back.

This was my first visit and I will say it won't be my last! The dish I had was so good, super flavorful. The staff was great, very welcoming and attentive. The service was fast. I'm excited about trying other items from the menu. 😋

I waited a few minutes to get seated, which happens, but after being seated I was not attended for 30 minutes and waited another 20 minutes to receive my food. Would not recommend for busy days even though it is delicious. I had to move from dine in to take out for the waitress to ask about the cooks about my fried rice plate.
