Mira Sushi never disappoints as far as good sushi in NY goes. Their sushi menu is pretty extensive so you have great options outside of the basic ones. Haven’t tried their noodle dishes as yet but looking forward to it!

She offered recommendations and kept checking in but not to a point where it was annoying. The food was delicious. MANAGER DOESNT CARE, OWNERS DONT CARE. We came to celebrate a birthday party. Ordered steamed veggie dumplings = cold inside not fully cooked. There are 6 pieces in the order and all 5 of us instantly had one and had to stop. We told the waitress and weren't given another order. Among other appetizers ordered was broccoli/garlic = broccoli was dirty and not washed properly. When pointing this out to waitress, no response or action was taken. Spring rolls used to come as a 4 piece platter. Now they are serving only 3, and cutting them in half to simulate 6 pieces and for this they also increased the price. They tasted off as well like not fully cooked or frozen for way too long. All of us are long term customers since before this business was renamed and taken over by new management. With this new management, every single visit for years now, has problems with our orders that are never addressed or rectified by a manager. We ordered appetizers and a large sushi platter to start but when met with such disrespectful behavior and poor quality food preparation all 5 of us decided not to order main courses. For being so cheap with your portion sizes and indifference to the mistakes that occur every visit, being so rude cheap and stingy, cost you over a hundred dollars in main courses and future business. Rectify this by training your staff to be respectful and to have the intention to satisfy and feed people not just transactional business. When things go wrong like a dish being undercooked, that dish should be replaced immediately, not taken away and offered nothing in return. That same dish should be returned to the chef for tasting and inspection to improve quality control. Start making those spring rolls fresh in house don't buy frozen: you will make a higher quality product and will taste better. It will be worth the price you're charging, whereas currently three spring rolls cut into 6 halves are an insult to customers. Thankfully your sushi chefs can still perform well and make good sushi, the rest of the menu is in dire need of updating or attention to detail to actually cook things properly. Flash frying a frozen spring roll in an authentic Asian fusion restaurant is an embarrassing state of affairs. By comparison I could buy a box of 6 frozen spring rolls and make them at home in the air frier in 5 minutes and spend half of what this restaurant charges. The whole idea of eating out in a restaurant is to get food that is better than what I'd make at home. The restaurant was basically empty so there was no reason for such poor quality except for the negligence in the kitchen. Keep it up and it will be permanently empty

I would like to say that this is the best place for sushi around here. it is a fusion Japanese and Thai food restaurant. the sashimi was super fresh also lobster King roll and super dragon roll are amazing. But the service needs to be improved

I’ve grown up and lived in the neighborhood most of my life. I’m disheartened to write this review but it’s upsetting to see how bad the quality in food safety and quality has gotten ever since Kyoto (previous chef and owner restaurant) was changed to Mira and under new management.

My mother ate here last night ordered a a valentines roll at the bar. In the past we have seen salmon that’s undercooked or mushy and sour, and yet still gave Mira Sushi another chance.

After dinner last night my mother has been experiencing food poisoning and it’s a scary to know the quality complaints from us and other locals have been for a few years yet their rating appears high.. pls do better because that’s pretty disgusting for a restaurant to be careless and dish out fishy food.

On purposely the receptionist pretended she couldn't hear me 10-20 minutes before lunch special is over, tried to ask family and friends to order quick before the lunch special is over but she would hang up or just repeat hello over and over. I occasionally go to Mira Sushi afterschool with my friends. I am so glad it is near my school because I absolutely love it! First, the lighting is so good! The decorations and atmosphere is okay, but it's still nice. The Tatami booths require an extra 20% gratuity charge (understandable, but a bummer), and they're comfortable and fun. I highly recommend the volcano roll, it is absolutely delicious! The eel avocado roll is also very satisfying. The Valentine Roll was kind of mushy and didn't have much taste, but it's still okay. Their drinks are spectacular (Purple Haze) and their Bento boxes are not that bad, pretty good (the shrimp chilli one). I also loved their miso soup the first time, the second time was not as good but still great. Overall, I recommend going to Mira Sushi because it is a really nice place to eat with your friends and the sushi is delicious. The prices are affordable and you can expect to get full without paying too much. The service is fine, but they charged me 54 dollars instead of 45 when I went even when the cashier kept clarifying if I wanted to pay 45 dollars (I was splitting a bill). Hopefully I'll go back and get my change. Other than that, please go!

I usually order out but decided to dine in. Until they started serving everyone who entered the store after me. I will give them credit though they gave me my drink timely but nothing else. So they get one star for everything.

I recently dined at Mira sushi and had a very disappointing experience. I was charged twice for tips – the 50ish old lady I missed heard they called her Yuni or Luni server added an auto-gratuity without notifying me were seated at tatami she's have a bad manner and have a loud voice she's shouldn't be a server ,food was good too bad the service is lack and dishonesty and very slow service very much unprofessional, for not been notify auto gratuity and then I was prompted to add an additional tip on top of that is very scamming!!!. This feels like a deliberate attempt to overcharge customers, as no one made it clear that an automatic gratuity had already been included. This kind of dishonesty is unacceptable and leaves a bad impression. If you plan to eat here, be very careful about your bill – you might end up paying far more than you expect.

The greeting on entry to Mira is extremely warm. Mei always has a smile and is willing to offer recommendations that I trust. Always an extra effort from her and staff! I always feel welcome at Mira!

Stopped at Mira Sushi on the way to JFK. Atmosphere was great, very welcoming the second you enter, no wait. Menu is extensive, lots of delicious options for food and drink at reasonable prices. Food was absolutely delicious, everything was fresh and tasty. Service was great too. There was never a time where we were waiting to be helped. Employees are very friendly. 10/10 would recommend.

The food was good. My kids also enjoyed the food so much! They gave recommendations and checked in from time to time. One thing I was NOT happy about is the automatic 20% of gratitude on the receipt that I almost missed, and after I swiped the card, the receipt has another box of numbers to pay tips : 15%, 18%, 20% etc. I usually don't look at the receipt and just add my tips after I swipe the card, but I could have paid double tips!

I've eaten here in person and often get delivery from here. The sushi rolls are so fresh! It's a little on the pricey side compared to some other sushi spots in the area but it's definitely worth it! Fast delivery and fresh food. And when I ate there by myself before, the service was welcoming and fast. I definitely recommend this place!

So unfortunately I won’t be ordering from here again. Service and atmosphere was great but the sushi was just ok. Cooked sushi was clearly fried who knows when and not fresh and to top it off we found a staple in the godfather roll.

First I normally eat their alot . Ordered some take out a angry dragon roll . Found it to be a little extra crunchy so I pulled out a staple . Honestly I don’t know what it was from in there but it was . Just becarefull chewing the sushi .

I’d like to start off by saying service was amazing. My friend couldn’t use chopsticks and had asked for a fork and so the waitress brought out chopsticks with training wheels for him which is super thoughtful. Food presentation was great however upon arrival we noticed baby flies on the food and that just ruined the whole meal. Didn’t enjoy and eat it. Would just recommend they do a better job cleaning the plates or whatever went wrong that day. (I hate leaving bad reviews but it needed to be said)

Flavor of pad thai was good. But i ordered it with tofu and the tofu was not good at all. Seemed low effort towards preparing the tofu. Tofu couldve been fried to add texture and seasoned for flavor like most places, but was not. Hopefully in the future they work on improving their tofu dish

My partner did get sushi since we paid for it but the server sounded mean when I asked where my noodle was. We r never coming here again although it is very close to my house. Food is okay I guess. Go somewhere else, you will find better place with better servers!!!

This, in my opinion, is the best sushi restaurant in the area. It is a combination of Japanese and Thai cuisine, so there are vegetarian alternatives and something for everyone. The meal is reasonably priced, and the service is cordial and courteous. Both the ambiance and the music choices were excellent. To celebrate my daughter's birthday, we went there for dinner and had sizzling fish, dynasty dumplings, California rolls, Philly rolls, vegetarian oshinko rolls, and Thai basil fried rice. We enjoyed the chocolate lava cake and green tea ice cream as our meal's finale. Everything was tasty and generously sized. We had a great evening and would definitely eat there again!

Every time I come here I get the fried shumai and it is simply amazing! All the food here use FRESH ingredients and the meat quality is exceptional. Will keep coming here until I try the entire menu. One thing to note is that if you like very spicy food, you must ask your server for extra!

Fitst things first, the food was great. We ordered the godfather roll (very interesting and unique take), as well as the drunken noodles and thai fried rice. All of them were delicious.

That being said, we sat at their "tatami booth," which is misleading because it is
1. Not lined with tatami, you are sitting on a wood bench. I found it to not be very comfortable.
2. Comes at a 20% gratuity charge to serve and clean your own table as the serving staff cannot reach the table very well.

Having worked FOH for 4 years, I have always seen it as a bonus if a customer helped clean the table, but ive never seen it as a necessity.

Thematically, i felt there was a lot to be desired in terms of what these booths were meant to be. For me personally, it felt that i was paying "more" to be inconvinienced.

The audacity to put 20% gratuity after they missed one whole order. The waiter took the order with no notepad - sure if he is going to remember every order. On top, no waiters/servers taking any responsibility.

Sushi was phenomenal, some of the best I’ve had in Queens. The fried Thai Banana dessert with one scoop of vanilla ice cream is a must try in my opinion. The decor and vibes were very chill and the server was friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
