Relaxed strip-mall eatery serving a menu of classic Thai dishes in a compact, assuming space.
Ordered to go for valentine’s dinner. Food was ready in 20 minutes. We ordered chicken pad Thai, cashew chicken and pineapple fried rice. Everything tasted very good except for Pineapple fried rice which had a bit too strong curry flavor. Quantity portion was generous so I would say good value for the money. We ordered medium spice level which was fine. We got some spices on the side.
We will definitely be back for a dine in experience.
In my honest opinion, Thai Chefs is hands down the best Thai restaurant in the city. The vegetable soup is rich and aromatic, with fresh vegetables(you can also add a protein for an additional cost). The chicken satay was perfectly seasoned and tender, served with a delicious peanut sauce. The red curry was creamy, spicy, and bursting with authentic flavors. Highly recommended!
From someone who used to live in Thailand: If you’re looking for authentic Thai food, I would highly recommend Thai Chefs. The kitchen is run and operated by a sweet Thai couple.
I’ve been coming here ever since I moved to Katy area many years ago. Thai chefs is my go-to after coming home from a months long trip. Their food has been consistently excellent after numerous visits over the years.
I have gone there’s several times and always have a good experience. Friendly waitstaff, great flavorful food and I love the mango sticky rice dessert (when available/in season). I’ve had the Pad Thai, Basil rice, and vegetable soup and all have been delicious. There’s limited parking in the front but additional parking in the back.
September 2023 update: the food is still excellent. I love the Pad See Ew .The service is always excellent. The food is always fresh.
First of all my alteration lady told me about this place (Susie Tailor's on 529)... she was spot on. The Pad Thai was excellent; just enough sweet, spicy and savory. We had vegetable pad thai, a shrimp pad thai, something with garlic and ginger.. rice of course. Everything was tasty. Would we good back. Yes, we already went back!!!

Their Thai tea is unique but tasty! I love love love their basil fried rice with shrimp 🍤. Good portion too!!!
You must visit.
Service at this establishment is always great as far as the servers but owner is stingy with ingredients. I was denied extra fried onions I asked to pay for extra fried onion to go cup and was told by the owner if I wanted to buy a whole bag instead of a small to go cup.
Only reason I ask for extra onions is because the food lacks flavor sometimes.
Won’t be back for a while after being a loyal customer for years.
perry good food.
Best food I ever had I will definitely be back This place is awesome.
The best Thai food I’ve had in the Houston area. Very flavorful, Decent portions, and right priced.
Anybody that doesn’t give this place 5 stars is lying to themselves. I eat Thai food all around the world, a thousand+ different places. No one does it better than this small restaurant Houston was blessed with. Eat here as many times as you can before you die.
This food was fabulous! Definitely will return.
Wish they have bilingual servers because is hard to understand the menu even with pictures they are not explicitly but the food is great 😸👍
AMAZING. I’m salivating writing this I’ve been 20+ times here and ordered the Red/Yellow/Green Curry and their Pad Thai and it has never disappointed!! Their portions are just right and their lunch specials are great deals!! Shout out to Bird & Melanie (sorry if I spelled their name wrong) the best servers a family could ask for. Spent many celebrations here - will always come back. You have a customer for life and recommend this place to anyone who will listen. Thank you!!

Great neighborhood restaurant. One of my favorites is the veggie soup. Many items are vegan or vegetarian friendly. The yellow curry is a must try!! I also appreciate that they have brown rice.
The service is a high point, as well. Many times, it is held down by only 1 person! Please remember to tip well!!
The Thai food is very authentic. After traveling to Thailand, I can say that the flavors are spot on with those we had in Thailand!
This is a neighborhood gem, plus it's good to support a small family run business.
Best pad see ew I've had in a long time.
Best Thai restaurant in Houston.
Food was ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT! I came in at 8:34pm and was treated so well, seated with care , ordered taken promptly and served quickly! I had Tom Yum and Spicy Basil with Rice also a Thai Tea! Everything was delicious! Definitely will be back with family!!!!
Very good pad thai and spring rolls for lunch. Service was excellent.
We ordered take out and it was ready almost exactly when I walked in during dinner hours. I had a change to my order and it wasn’t an issue at all. They CRAM your takeout tupperware with the food. My wife and I couldn’t finish everything. And it was freaking amazing! I can’t say enough about this place. It impressed my work colleagues last week and now my wife. 5 stars is in anyone’s book.
Fantastic Thai food!
Great place for Thai food!
Courteous staff and excellent food. Our family favorite in Cypress.
Arrived to pick my food and had to spend more time waiting for my food because the gave my food to someone else. The service and the people that work are the worst. Don't come to this place.

Cheese rolls and fried tofu starters are really good. Basil Fried rice is excellent! Go Thai hot level!
This is a feel good restaurant , the best part in this restaurant is that we get vegetarian soup with veg broth, being a vegetarian I didn’t find this in any Thai restaurant every where it is with fish broth even though it is vegetable soup….
Really good Thai food but service is about average.
Top-caliber Thai food better than most anything you could get even in Thailand. Staff were pretty awesome.
Serving sizes are quite generous, though the prices are a bit more than I’d hoped ($9.95 for an order of fried rice).
I do wish they had more dishes from the Isan region of northeastern Thailand, like some spicy ลาบหมูอีสาน with the roasted rice in it. Maybe in the future?
Please try the sho she
Absolutely love it !!!! Yellow curry is my favorite with no.2 level of spicy, just so you know their food can get really spicy so careful on choosing the level of spiciness
Excelente servicio y la comida deliciosa !!!
Awesome service. Food is tasty.
I guess I'm not impressed by them this time around. And you'll get a disservice if you end up going to the place 40 mins before the closing time. They might as well just lock the doors and not let anyone else enter or change their working hours to not be 9pm. At least the food was still good.
Best Thai food I've ever had. Really good flavors.
The best Thai restaurant in the area.
First time ordering and unfortunately, my last time. I ordered the chicken larb salad and fish cakes. The chicken larb salad was so salty I couldn’t eat it. And I’m a heavy salt user. The chunk of iceberg lettuce that accompanied it was brown and inedible. The fish cakes were tasty but they were the size of poker chips and for the price was a total rip. The photo on their website sure fooled me. Sorry Thai Chefs, but your kitchen was definitely “out to lunch” tonight.
Food is consistently great and the service is wonderful. Lady at the front register is always kind.
We had the pad kee mao beef and shrimp and pad thai chicken and beef, to drink i had their thai coffee. It was all delicious, if you are undecided wether to go spicy or not they have condiments on the table to adjust the flavor. The coffee was sweet and strong, everything very flavorful. I would come back.
Our go-to Thai restaurant in the Cypress area. Generous portions and always fresh.
Small portion for the amount paid. Rude service.
Excellent little hidden Thai restaurant. This a great out of the way place that can be easily missed because of the location and the fact that there is a much larger Vietnamese restaurant in the same strip mall. I came here with a friend for lunch and have become addicted to this place ever since. The food is always fresh and excellent, the servings the right size, and the prices are reasonable. There is never a problem with bad meat or non-fresh products, which is sometimes an issue with Asian places. I love this restaurant. The only knock I have is that the parking sucks, you usually have to park in the back and walk around the building, unless you get lucky and a spot is open in the front. But beyond the parking problems, the food at this place is amazing.
Our favourite local Thai restaurant. Our fave is the pineapple curry and Panang curry with extra veg. Many other great dishes.
Where should I begin.. was looking for some Eggrolls and walked into this place. Same setting with an OPEN sink which is being UTILIZED for drinking water!!! Ugh. The Lady literally was standing at a sink (which looks like it should be a bathroom sink) place a pitcher in it, load the customers cups with ice; unfortunately I didn't see where she got it from, but let's just say there was no refrigerator there!!! Yuck
Okay food. Got my eggrolls and another appetizer; they were HOT and straight from a bag. Nothing was made fresh, not even the broccoli they serve was freshly cut but rather store bought! :(
Well maybe the rice is made there!
>>Will NOT return. Ooh BTW they give CANNED sodas so I'm quite sure that means NO refills.
If i could give it a 4.5 stars, i definitely good. The only reason is the service is great, and the food is good compared to the price, however the fried rice wasnt fantastic, it was alright. 5 stars, because i feel bad giving 4.
Super sweet each and every time I’ve came here. Thank you for your hospitality, and most importantly, the AMAZING FOOD!
First time having Thai food. Red curry was delicious and the flat rice noodles are officially my favorite noodles now.
it is delicious most of menus. Just wonder on the website said Satay and Fish Cake are serves 5 pcs each but we got only 4 pcs each. Just to let chef know and we are still love your foods.
Food was very good , red curry and Tom kha were closest to taste from Thailand .
Best coconut ice cream I have ever had in my life. I’ve tried numerous gelato + ice cream places and this random Thai place’s ice cream beats all of them.
Best Thai food I've had around Houston.
Great food..but dare to order via phone call no one answers the phone. Thank Thai Chef
Their pad thai is absolutely amazing!
Best Pad Thai around!
Love it.
One of the few Thai places that will give it to you Thai spicy.
Reasonably priced and good service. Seating is tight but worth it IMHO.
It's become my new go-to for Thai food
THIS IS THE BEST PLACE EVER. THEIR PAD THAI AND MANGO STICKY RICE WILL FOREVER HAVE ME IN A CHOKEHOLD. I WILL SINGLE HANDILY FUND THIS PLACE WITH MY BUSINESS. IF I DIDN’T HAVE FAT IN MY LIVER AND HAD MORE MONEY, I WOULD EAT HERE EVERY NIGHT OF THE WEEK (EXCEPT TUESDAYS BECAUSE THEY CLOSE AT 3).
Great food and service, never have to wait long.
Very good food been here multiple times . You can never go wrong with this place
Food is excellent as is the service. My go to Thai place
Best Thai in Katy area !
Showing some love after the owners house got on fire
I love Thai Chefs! My boyfriend and I can always count on the food to be spot on!
A real hidden gem! The yellow curry is SO great! Pad see ew is really delicious, and their noodles are spot on. Quiet place, excellent service, very clean, nice decor. Not overbearing. Highly recommend!
Super good! Loved it
Terrible!!
Great little spot to get your Thai food fix. My wife and I aren’t from the area, but we were here during lunchtime and were looking for a restaurant to try. Since we both love Thai and this place had good reviews, we decided to give it a try. It definitely did not disappoint. We both had curry (Panang and red) on the spiciest level available. It was perfectly spiced (for our liking) and not overly done. Highly recommend!!!
first time here, food was decent especially for the area not many Asian restaurants in the area much less a specialty one like this Thai restaurant. thought service was a bit slow but saw only one waitress working, I guess understandable during this climate of short staffing but the woman could have been the owner who knows. cute restaurant but a bit small especially small parking lot
After hearing rave reviews about this place, we popped in for lunch. Food was good, but because we politely requested a table that wasn't inches from the bathroom, the lady waiting on us was rude the entire time.
Spilled water and ice on our food when refilling drinks, dropped silverware on the table, snapped at my husband that she'd "be with you in a minute" when he just went to get his own chopsticks from the front counter. Just rude in general.
So sit by the bathroom, or you'll pay for it for the remainder of your visit. 😥
Yum! Very cute and clean, love a small Thai restaurant. Service very good, food is obviously made to order and it is very yummy :) loved it
We always get take out here. It's our go to place for pad thai.
Been coming here since 2014! I love this gem, best Thai in Houston hands down!!
The blandest Pad Thai I’ve ever had. I fried an egg to go with my leftovers and it had more flavor than the whole dish.
Pretty good
Never disappoints, Awesome!
Very bad service , some lady with short hair was in charge of my table; she had a very bad attitude. Our food came in spicy after we told her not spicy. The second time the food came out it was burnt and we didn’t want it, after we told her she still proceed to charge us for the plate. Horrible service don't recommend coming here.
Me and my wife with little kid had decent food at this place. Food tasted okay. Paid the bill and left no tip as the service was not that gr8. The owner was behind us after we exited the door demanding for TIP. Very Rude and un-professional behavior. They never indicated that TIP is MANDATORY for two or more people ...Would NEVER EVER visit again. I wouldnt suggest going here. There are better places to go
First experience in this Thai restaurant and positive experience. The restaurant room is very well decorated.
Large choice of dishes with spicy option (from nothing to level 4). The food was really good..especially the home made coconut ice cream that is delicious. The Thai tea was also very pleasant.
I love this place! I would definitely recommend their curries!
I've been coming here for quite a while now. The service is always great and so is the food. I especially love their Pad Thai and Fried Rice.
Very small place. Only 1 server was there but was able to take good care of our table, friendly and respectful. Good food. Good prices.
Exactly the way I like it!
Always delicious!! I can close my eyes point at something in the menu and enjoy it. Done it twice now. The place is small so no big parties.
I went there couple days ago when it was nice and cold out.
I ordered Tom Yum soup with level 3 spicy, and it was perfect!! All the flavors of soup, veggies and meat.. ahhh!! Yum!
I also ordered Thai shrimp fried rice, level 2 spicy and it was very flavorful as well. It was a perfect meal for a nice cold weather ..
Tight parking location, but their Pad Thai is delicious.
Great customer service
The Tom Kha soup is sooo delicious I can’t wait to have it again! Wonderful flavors, lots of chicken and mushrooms, parsley and green onions. The coconut milk and lime broth was outstanding! This will now be on my “comfort food” list!
😋 I love this place food good and yummy like Thai style.
Great care services, good food
Love this place! They have my favorite pineapple curry.
Clean, efficient service, excellent food made to order...ie,your dish is prepared as you wait.
Amazing food and service. Not expensive at all. Certainly I'll come back.
Excellent. I had the pineapple curry with pork. I asked for spicy and it almost got ghe best of me. Honestly, everything on the table was aces. Highly recommended.
The food here was delicious. Came here for dinner with 2 friends. For appetizers, we had dumplings and satay. We had the pad thai with shrimp, basil entree with chicken, & the pineapple curry. Every single thing was amazing. We will definitely be back
My girlfriend got the pad Thai and I got pad kee mao and we were both very happy with the taste and portion size. Quiet place, good service, and tasty food which came out probably less than five mins after ordering.
Reviews didn’t disappoint, super service and food was fantastic!! Would come again in a heart beat!!!
I used to come here a lot, and I loved their food. But as of recently they have been inconsistent and the quality of their dishes has taken a dive. I probably will just stop coming because there are better thai places in Houston
Ordered takeout and the pad thai was so dry with little seasoning.. quality not the same as eating in or just did not give their best
Absolutely Delicious! Excellent service and charming, clean atmosphere. A Semi-Hidden gem. We will be back for sure.
The food is fantastic
Pad thais are okay, had better. But overall great service!
3 adults and 3 kids eating basic and partially unappetizing food cost $140…oh and they charged 18% gratuity without letting us know
I tip 20% so they lost out on a few bucks by being inhospitable and including it
Based strictly on food I would not go back
Service was par for Thai
Policy is just rude
I co worker told me about this place. It is so good and it has levels of spicy.
I DID REALLY LIKE IT THE FOOD IS SO GOOD AND THE THAI TEA IS SOOOO GOOD I DID REALLY LIKE IT
Best Thai food in Houston! Tre and Noi provide amazing service! We LOVE this place! Thanks Thai Chefs!!!!
Very good good with fresh chilies.
Really tasty!!!
Best Tom Yum soup served in a pot. I also enjoyed the Tiger Cry beef served thai hot, it will open your sinuses so drink lots of water.
I ordered the Massaman curry, mango sticky rice and pad Thai. The Massaman curry was very salty and difficult to finish. The pad Thai didn’t have a lot of flavor. The sticky rice with the mango and sticky rice was dry and crunchy and the condensed milk have separated making it an unpleasant experience. Maybe I caught them on a bad day but I was sadly disappointed with the quality of the food.
Very very good and spicy thaifood
Good Food!! Where was this place hiding?? Glad I found it!
The thai basil rice i get, was tasteless and very small for $15 a 🍽🍛. The service is just there
Nice hole in the wall Thai place. Love the food, it's great tasting.
The food is hella good for the price! Everyone who I brought here loves this place. I usually get the chicken panang curry (spicy coconut curry).
