This is a quaint little Thai place that has been around a long time, and that is usually a good sign. Food was served warm, fast and good sized portions. We enjoyed our meal. There is better Thai food out there, but this is a great local spot to support.

And then when I called again to ask to confirm once again because of what I was told previously I was told I could combine them. I can get a straight answer. :(

EXCELLENT Authentic Thai Food! Family owned and operated. This restaurant has been serving the Absolute Best Thai Food in the area for YEARS! They are Fantastic for lunch or dinner. Note lunch photos are just as nice as dinner experience. This is Not Fast Food, this is for lunch when you have a hour, not minutes. It's not that they are slow, it's because everything is cooked to order. The food and experience the family prepares is AMAZING!

This place is a rip off !!!!

I have ordered dine in here several times ands never had this happened to me . I ordered fried rice ( chicken) white rice with Thai curry. To my surprise when I came home the bowl with white rice one table spoons d fried rice all vegetables with hardly any rice to eat it with . This is ridiculous. I’m beyond disappointed.

Ive been around and Thai is one of my favorites when eating out. This has to be one the best Thai food restaurants I've ever been to.

Just ate here tonight and this place is amazing... the food was excellent as well as the service. I also got to watch part of the football game on one of there 5 tvs and the portions are big and now I have lunch tomorrow lol.. I'll be coming here atleast once a week.

My fiancé and I love this neighborhood gem!! My favorite dish is the red curry with pineapple (i believe it’s C4). We often dine in and get takeout as well. The service is always so friendly and you can really tell they put their heart into it. Thank you, Thai Am!

We got doordash to deliver. I had the red curry chicken, which was basically canned.Bamboo shoots frozen peas green bell peppers and chicken. The sauce was decent but come on can't you use fresh vegetables?????My friends Pad Keemow was okay...kinda oily and there again added frozen peas! Wow really. Why would you use frozen and canned vegetables. Not cool . I cook better. Very dissatisfied. With what you charge you should use fresh vegetables other than green bell peppers.

Food was amazing I had seafood with noodles and a soup everything was great up until I bit some of the noodles and noticed a hair and boy was it long and curly definitely not my hair. I know these things happen but please be more conscientious for your customers. Other than that all was good. Also send utensils and napkins when people order online. Again common courtesy. Slap some hairnets on your coworkers.

We went here for the first time and the food was great. My cousin said the curry puffs was the best she's ever had. The panang curry with beef was so good. My sister liked her shrimp pad see ew and said she would eat there again, which is a feat in itself. Definitely recommend.

Always a delight here. The servers are attentive and kind, the flavors are perfect (rich but light enough that i want multiple items each time… even if that means leftovers!) Lunch deal is a great bargain but there’s no time I won’t go. Curry dishes, pad thai, and tom yum soup are personal faves.

This place is flat out delicious. Food is just so good. Even when it’s delivered via doordash. Fair prices, always offering savings here and there, and I could go on, but I won’t. Just go try it and see for yourself

Best thai food in st. Pete!! This restaurant is a st pete staple. They were open before and after the hurricane when everywhere else was closed, they deserve your business! Its not easy being one of the only restaurants open during hard times!

Not only was I shocked that a pad thai dish and a soup came out to over $30, I had the worst stomach pains after eating the meal. Although I was disappointed in my order, the service was kind.

After reading the snarky response to my review, 4.4 stars means that Thai-Am restaurant might have potential to be a good restaurant. I just won’t be returning because I was overcharged and physically unsatisfied with the food preparation.

Visited Thai-Am Restaurant at 9pm this evening for the first time . We felt for some Thai food , today was a long day, its unfortunate that we arrived one hour prior to the restaurant closing. We were party of 5 . Noting Big boss lady at the entrance like a Samoain security guard watching everything as the the staff was doing a good job . Her facial expression wasn't welcoming. We ordered 1 Shrimp dinner, 1 Thai Snapper dinner ,1 Ginger Snapper 2 fried duck which were fried and too DRY as though it was left overs . So we asked politely for a ginger sauce . The Big bully Boss lady interjected stating "The Kitchen Closed".!!
She made NO effort to provide customer service.
One of the servers took the time to get a sauce for us , which was greatly appreciated . As we recieved our bill which were seperately done x 5 noting the gratuity was already included once added up it was approx $25 . Then the nerve of Big boss lady had to ask WHY we didnt leave a tip ??? I asked her excuse me ? I responded its included in the bill. She repeated if there was a problem ? I reminded her that we're NOT obligated to give anything, furthermore it was already included in our bill. We definitely would NOT revisit due to her attitude 🙄 unacceptable behavior . 😤

The 1 star is for the Big Bully Boss Lady . She definitely could benefit from a Customer Service Course Thumbs down 👎 for you ....

we first ordered delivery from here about a year ago. it was so incredibly good, we began ordering at least twice a month. we never knew exactly where the actual restaurant was. today, we unexpectedly drove past it and immediately knew we had to stop in, even though we weren't really ready for lunch and they were about twenty minutes from closing. the food was even more incredible than the superb dishes we get delivered. the atmosphere was great. the prices were great. the service was incredible. the presentation of the meal was only surpassed by the taste of all the food. thai-am consistently exceeds every expectation. well done!

I don’t understand how you can have egg noodles on the menu, but then serve somebody $.69 Ramen noodles and then I called you to confirm and then I was told yes that’s what we serve. Everything else is good but you can’t have egg noodles on your menu and then hand somebody Ramen noodles. I’m just trying to help you guys up your game I’m sorry

It is a small restaurant but excellent Thai food. I had a fried red snapper with a sweet chili sauce. We dined in, but I saw a lot of takeout.

Good Thai food, crispy roll were outstanding, same with Pad Thai and Pineapple Fried Rice. The Tom Yum soup was not the best. Dessert suggestion Mango - Rice was very good.

Just moved to the area and thought we’d check this place out. Thai Am has a very busy take out business. If the take out order popularity was so good, you’d think the food is really great, right? We were disappointed. Our order of shrimp pad Thai was too soupy and very sweet. The spicy Thai chicken was served with flaming whiskey. It was impressive but the dish was really soaked with too much whiskey and it wasn’t that spicy. The rice that came with the dishes wasn’t enough. By the time our server asked if we wanted more, we were pretty much finished.

I’d give this place another shot. Portion sizes were good. Maybe the chef was having a bad night with the sauces.

Food never arrived, was still charged.

I have ordered from Thai Am for over 5 years. I was recently charged 2$ to add bean sprout to a dish online, since I don't eat onions. Bean sprouts isn't listed as an option to be charged at extea cost . Its just as much as adding extra meat. Otherwise I would have not added if I had an opton. I feel like I should have been notified of extra charges prior to my online order. I spoke to the manager who explained this to me today. I ordered bean sprout in the past and was not charge a few weeks back. I am disappointed with the customer service and lack of communication with menu items and poor customer service. I don't care how good the food is, which can be at times poorly cooked, you have lost a customer and I will not encourage my friends to dune here as we have more oprions!

The best Pad See Ew!

We had the panang curry and the pad Thai. Very delicious. Pad Thai was perfectly slimy and sticky. Panang curry had veggies and was also very yummy. The lady did not ask us how hot we wanted it, I thought it was perfect. My husband complained a little.. he likes to sweat when he eats Thai food.

Very small and tight inside but it’s cute . The older woman was very rude and I’m assuming upset that I had a question about the soup and salad that comes with the lunch special she barked “ I can’t switch “ I have allergies so I just wanted to know what was coming out . So we left she started talking to me in another language but took my order in English ! She then followed us outside to our car .

I just got back from Bangkok on a Muay Thai retreat and made sure to try pad Thai from multiple spots so I could compare it with my favorite place here at home in St Pete. Now that I’m back i can say with confidence that Thai Am has the best pad Thai in the world! It’s so delicious and we order from here at least twice a month and it’s ALWAYS delicious. Thanks Thai am for making such delicious food! 👊🏽

Food and service is fantastic

We’ve had Thai Am several times, and we’ve ordered via their website, Uber Eats, DoorDash, Postmates, etc., and EVERY TIME our food is always correct and always incredible!! My husband adores any dish they have with glass noodles, and I personally always get the Pad See Ew because I love the wide rice noodles! I have food aversions and I always get mine without veggies or meat, and regardless of the platform I place the order on they ALWAYS get it right! Countless times when I’ve ordered from other places they’ll mess it up so when we order from this place it’s reassuring to know that I don’t really have to worry about whether or not my food will be right. I truly can’t recommend this place enough, best Thai food in the area for sure!!

If you're looking for some tasty green curry, this is your spot. I went for dinner here the other night with my boyfriend and it was so good we got take out there again. Their summer rolls were sooo good and I usually don't like them. It was definitely the home made peanut sauce they have. Seriously this plcae sells it by the container if you want to take some home and I was so close to doing that lol. I would recommend this place on that alone. Also their Basil Fried Rice... Incredible. if you like chicken fried rice and just want to switch it up a little bit id highly suggest that. Very reasonably priced too. 10/10 would recommend.

This is my favorite restaurant. We have tried several appetizers and dishes and they've all been delicious. The staff is always so nice too. We usually order for take-out, but have dined in as well and had a great experience. They have suuuuuper good Thai tea! I would 100% recommend this place.

You can tell they pay attention to detail, the staff was very friendly, the food was fast, delicious, great quality and fresh, they garnish their dishes with a beautiful flower. We got Pad see ew with pork and chicken fried rice! Their water tasted filtered which is great because usually a lot of places serve you tap water with a chlorinated taste. My hot jasmine tea was great as well. To top it off their prices are very reasonable and they give you a punchcard. Thank you! We look forward to our next visit.

I usually order the Panang Curry w/tofu and my partner always orders the Kao Pad and it’s always delicious. I’ve been there in person and through delivery. The restaurant is in a little shopping plaza and it’s a very nice, clean,restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. Also, if you use UberEATS and I probably shouldn’t be telling you this because they may stop the promotion if I do.😆 if you order the Panang curry through UberEATS, which is what I normally order, it’s buy one get one free! So you get two meals for the price of one. I always have one for lunch the next day and it taste just as good the next day. This is hands down my favorite restaurant. I’ve been to other Thai places and it just doesn’t feel the same or taste as good as this place. If you like Thai food or just curries in general this place is great. 😄

This place is absolutely incredible! This was by far the best Thai food I have ever had. Also, my fiancée and I both agreed that the lady who served us is one of the nicest human beings. She noticed the poorly wrapped bandages around my thumb from slamming it in a car door earlier in the morning. She wrapped it with tape herself and did a much better job than I did 😂. I've gotten takeout here a few times and have been enjoying exploring their menu 😊 My favorite so far is their gaeng phed (red curry). The curry has a rich flavor and they serve it with perfectly cooked jasmine rice. I also really enjoyed the shrimp kao pad (fried rice) and fresh veggie spring rolls (best part is their peanut sauce). Other things I've tried that have been meh were the pad thai (okay, but a little sweet for my taste) and shrimp tom kha soup (way more sour than I'm used to). I normally love pad kee mao (drunken noodles) but the one time I got it here, it was a bit soggy and didn't taste very fresh. Maybe it was an off day but I probably wouldn't get it here again. With that being said, I've had enough delicious food here that will keep me coming back to try more things 🙂

Terrible lunch today!!! First, they forget to put my order in. After waiting 25 minutes and other tables coming in after me being served I asked where my lunch was. Waitress apologized and brought my food out a minute later only to be served a soupy mess that was supposed to be pad thai. When the waitress asked why I didn't eat it I told her "look it looks like soup" she apologized again then gave me my bill!!! What a joke. Paid my bill but won't be back. Too bad this place went down hill I used to like it. Sign of the times I guess.

My meal was Delicious!! While dining, I was noticing the amount of carry out traffic. A constant stream of to go orders,,,, good for them. I asked for a box to take the rest of my meal home - it came to me with a scoop of rice added to goveith my leftovers. Great touch! Thank you.

EXCELLENT Authentic Thai Food! Family owned and operated. This restaurant has been serving the Absolute Best Thai Food in the area for YEARS! They are Fantastic for lunch or dinner. Note lunch photos are just as nice as dinner experience. This is Not Fast Food, this is for lunch when you have a hour, not minutes. It's not that they are slow, it's because everything is cooked to order. The food and experience the family prepares is AMAZING!

I’ve order takeout from here a few times recently. Everything was good. Fair prices and good portions.

Waited 1.5 hours for take out. Food was awful. 15 bucks for a handful of tofu and veggies in something like a dog food tasting gravy. Worst Asian food I've had in st. Petersburg. Couldn't even eat it, going to bed hungry and upset.

Delicious soups!

My wife and I are regular customers, and our experiences have consistently been great. Service is always personable and attentive, and the food is exceptional with attractive presentation. This restaurant appreciates our business and to our surprise, presented us with a gift-bag of little things from Thailand. If you like Thai food, (our faves are Chicken on Fire, and the Steamed Dumplings) do yourself a favor and get over there soon!

Me and my family have been coming to this restaurant for many years and never have been disappointed! They are always accommodating to my fish allergy, making my food with no fish or oyster sauce every time! The food is always consistently good and with nice portion sizing. We ordered tonight for Christmas Eve dinner and were gifted a nice purse/bag. How thoughtful! Even though we moved we still make the drive over the bridge to eat at our favorite Thai restaurant! Why they put so much sugar on their dishes!! Red Curry & Tom Kha Gai Soup overly sweet. The " Jazmin Rice "was horribly overcooked. Never again! I miss Sila Thai so much!!

Good food, the busser was super helpful with the menu and description of what we were ordering. Small dining area which made it seem crowded with only 5 tables seated.

We reserved the restaurant for our large group of 40 people! The food was excellent and we would definitely go back.

We are very happy they are open for dine in again. They have excellent, authentic Thia food. Interesting desserts and appetizers. The staff are very pleasant, helpful and patient.

Had a great lunch here with a friend. The food was delicious and came out fast, the staff were attentive and professional, and all at a great price. I would recommend the chicken satay or appetizer platter, all the apps are good.

The server Lady very friendly and welcome me with enthusiasm. Pad Thai, Thai tea and fresh rolls was Delicious.

If I could give a 3 1/2 stars I would. Consistency would be my only complaint. I have ordered the same dish prepared the same way for 3 years now. Squid Panang super Thai hot. The sauce is often different in flavor and sometimes lacking the spiciness. Just ordered this same dish two nights ago and it was completely different in flavor. Could not taste any peanut in the Panang and my Thai hot was more of a Thai mild. 😞 Different peppers for different times of the year is understandable but completely different panang flavor aside the hot peppers is a disappointment.
