The food was amazing! We started with the Tom Yum and Tom Kha soup which was flavorful and fresh. For the main course, we had the noodles, rice, Garlic fish and Triple Flavor Fish and it was cooked to perfection—packed with vibrant flavors and the perfect balance of spice. The portions were generous, and everything tasted so authentic. Overall, everything was absolutely delicious, and we can’t wait to return!

I came in for lunch ordered the yellow curry (medium) & fried chicken dumplings. Large yummy portions for lunch plus you get a veg spring roll & Tom yum soup was the soup of the day. YOU MUST TRY THIS PLACE. It’s absolutely delicious, I ordered Chicken Pad Thai to go & it was another hit. Take note… SPICE LEVELS ARE HIGH! I ordered level 3 medium & it was more like 4.5.

The food and service were great.
We ordered Grilled Thai Sausage, Chicken Wings, Crispy Whole Fish and Crab Fried Rice.
Sausage was authentic Thai/Lao style with lemongrass, Kefir lime leaves and chili peppers. It wasn’t too spicy for most Houstonians, I bet.
Chicken wings came with soy based sauce and it’s unique and pleasant.
Crispy Fish was Tilapia deep fried and had a hot and sweet sauce with sautéed bell peppers. Again it want super hot.
Crab Fried Rice had a real rump crab meat and the flavor is fantastic. With the check totaled at $50 with tax is a great value.
There is plenty of parking space, the family oriented atmosphere is great for kids. We will be back for sure!

My first time visiting H-Town from the usual Forthworth stops. My uncle recommended me this new thai restaurant to order because he fell in love with their papaya salads. We ended up order couple more things like their crab fried rice, lard na and basil fried rice. Boy! They were all tasty with intense flavors- the spicy level was also perfect and just right. Thank you uncle and this restaurant for feeding me on my last night in Texas before back to the Coast 🙏🏻

It’s been a while since I’ve ordered food from here. I never had a complaint. However as I recently placed an order I noticed quite a few mistakes leading me to believe there must be a different owner which turned out to be the case. Instead of chicken fried rice they gave me beef. Instead of brown rice they gave me white rice. The yellow curry is like a soup when it should be thicker and that’s why they put it in a soup container. I used to get it in a bowl because of its thickness. The fried rice is extremely salty. They won’t get my business again. Very disappointed. I miss the previous owner.

The only reason I am giving this a 1 star is because these last two times we have tried to eat there, They were closed for a private party! We drive from Texas City Texas to go have a good time in Houston and this was one of our favorite places! But we will not be back. Very disappointing when you go and find a note on doors saying closed for a private party!

The food is very pricey compare to the quality and quantity. There are many other surrounding Thai places with better prices and quantity of food and quality. Seems like new owner needs to step up their services.

Best yellow curry in Hosuton with shrimp and they added mushrooms and eggplant for me. Nice quiet atmosphere without the frills but the food is what you come for here. Great service and it looks like it is just a mom and pop opertaion but they care and they are superfast. The quality cant be beat. I went to regions thai on Louetta and dee dee thai in the heights and none of them could match the tastes here. It was on par with my experience in Bangkok and I have been craving yellow curry in Hosuton like I had in thailand. This is it!!!

Can't get enough of this restaurant. I recommend their Potak Seafood sound with steam rice and vegetables egg rolls. Those are my go to when I crave thai food. Their Pad thai is really good too.

Everything was delicious and authentic. We had a group of 12 adults and ate through the whole menu. My favorites were the Nam Khao and Chicken Larb. My family seemed to particularly enjoy the Fried Fish and Tom Yum Soup.

Unfortunately there seems to be a major change in the quality and taste of the food. It used to be excellent, but now it is barely OK. I don't know if management or the cooks changed but I gave them a couple of tries this month and neither was very good - the quality and deliciousness that I remember is long gone. Food is missing that sweet, umami, sour, bright flavor. Spice level when asking for medium (3 star) is all over the place. One dish was extremely spicy while the next had no spice at all. Even pad Thai was a complete disappointment. I expect so much more - especially since eating here is nearly $20 per dish. So sad to see a great restaurant like this change so quickly and for the worse. I will not be eating here again.

I was in town for work and stopped in for dinner. I and a family were the only ones eating here which is crazy because this place should be packed. I’ve eaten at high places and food wasn’t half as good and twice as much. If you live here , show up.

Tried it 3x since new owners. Quality of food has gone down and portions are so small for the big price changes. Owners are super nice though. Super disappointed because we use to come 1x a week with old owners. Dined in today and this elderly asian lady had a hard time assisting us as a waitress. Needs help communicating.

This place is awesome. The soups are delicious!!! I love the orange chicken at lunch time and my server Kim is always very nice Very pleasant and very friendly When I come in and she never forgets me. They also make special accommodations if you want your food mild spicy or extra spicy. I highly recommend this place.

Updating again: new decor, same menu, no service. Literally NO service. I'm taking my stars back.

Updating because it needs to be done. New owners. Kept the menu, but it's not as good. Things that are supposed to be spicy are not. Not even a little. It tasted fine but not as good as used to be. It's also god awful expensive.

New staff is still kind, just can’t justify the price anymore. It used to be $9.99 and now it’s $13.99.

A friend recommended that I try this place & I'm so glad I did. Decided to have a family dinner here for almost 12 people. Plenty of parking and we were able get a table together fairly easy. The dishes are very easy to have as shareables/family style. Our waiter was polite and helped to recommend several dishes that I wouldn't have thought to order b/c I am not familiar w/this cuisine, but I am so glad he did! WOW. Several people in my party said that this is the best meal they have had, hands down. It was an amazing experience topped with BYOB--thank you. We brought our own wine and sake to enjoy. Here are some highlights that were ordered: Beef Jerky, Nam Khao Tod (crispy rice, oh so good), Thai Sausage (sweet), Papaya Salad, Nam Tok, Crab Fried Rice (good), Thai Basil Fried Rice, Heavenly Chicken, Pad Ped Pladuk (excellent and surprisingly everyone's favorite dish!), Pad Se Ew w/tofu (good), Pad Ke Mao w/beef, and Chicken Lettuce Wrap. Everything was very good and we were happy to support local small business. This is family run and highly, highly recommended. You don't need to visit restaurants inside the loop to find something unique. This is the spot. It is located in a mostly empty shopping lot, but that should not deter you. You would be missing out if you don't try it once.

Not only was the food absolutely delicious, the service was fantastic. I tried the yellow curry the first time I went there and it was nice and flavorful and very filling. I had leftovers. The second time I went I had the lad na and let me tell you, that dish has become my favorite. For dessert I had the mango sticky rice and I’m obsessed. I felt like Remy from ratatouille after he took a bite of the strawberry and cheese.

When I day this is some of the BEST Tai food I've ever had in my life it is!!!! Everyone is so nice and friendly and the food is so authentic! 😋 if I could give more then 5 stars I would because it deserves it... 100 out 10 would recommend!

I really like there food here. I appreciate they change it to fit other people pallet that can’t handle spicy food but i like there traditional Thai spicy’s even thou it’s hot. The soups are definitely a try specially the coconut flavored one.

The place is fairly basic, and not much of a decor. But the food is really good a pretty authentic. Service is also really good.

I had mixed vegetables with chicken, my husband had pineapple curry. Perfect ratio of veggies and protein, fresh ingredients, service was great, prices reasonable. Thai milk tea was really good too. I definitely recommend this one.

I had no idea it would be the best fried rice I've ever eaten. Perfectly seasoned not over oiled, with every bite It got better and better as I couldn't help but say mmm and ahh. I honestly didn't expect much but the cook they have got back there had to have been an iron chef! 😄 I am so pleased I stopped in and would highly recommend trying this out for yourself.

We like the food here and we have it fairly regularly. Our favorite dishes are the red curry, kee mao, and basil chicken.

They no longer have their lunch specials and sometimes the Kee Mao is a little too sweet for our tastes.

Still, we enjoy the food very much, like supporting this small business and recommend it to our friends.

When I came here (a Wednesday evening) it wasn't busy at all. Food was very good and I absolutely loved it as it had many flavors. I haven't had much Thai food so this seemed like a great place to go, not for trying out Thai cuisine cuisine for the first time but it's still good and I recommend it. The atmosphere seemed at home and was quiet with a calm environment. A lot of the food did have peanuts so beware of allergies. The wait time was also reasonable, not too long but I wouldn't say fast. They also had the menus under the glass of the table, which I liked because its more sanitary and you don't need to flip back and forth looking for things (like I've done at a lot of other places).

Horrible service…. The “owner” came out hostile after the food was horrible and said if you don’t like food then don’t come back but you have to pay…. We didn’t even eat the food cause it was sooo gross…. Definitely don’t come to this place….

Ordered the Shuu Chee fish which was good, big bummer was the white rice was not substituted for fried rice.

The food has been great here every time we've visited. The Thai spring rolls were excellent as a starter. We also had the basil fried rice and the pad kee mao, both of which were outstanding. We've tried new things each time we've visited and we have been impressed with everything.

The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because it is always very warm inside the restaurant. You could call it hot and not be far from the truth. If you order anything remotely spicy you can soon find yourself in an uncomfortable setting.

I have been a patron of this restaurant for years. A great, family owned business where the food is prepared with love and pride. I would recommend this place to anyone. Lots of yummy dishes to try. If you don’t like spicy food, they can make it very mild so everyone is happy. I highly recommend Panang!

They just became stingy with they take out food. I tip them at least $5.00 for take out & there is less meat & more vegetables.

Don't be fooled by the location or even how it looks on the inside. The food is solid and comes out fast. I'm not sure why this place isn't busier than it is, but that's also what I like about it. Pad Thai, Green curry, and Yellow Curry Soup are must try dishes. I'm not sure why the manager doesn't make the soup a lunch offer though!

Wow. This place is great! I thought I knew good Thai food, but I was mistaken. I started dating this wonderful Asian girl, she says “I will take you to get REAL Thai food.” I was skeptical.

The pad Thai is incredible. The noodles are sweet and gummy and they LOAD up the plate. The Tom kha soup is perfectly sour and the heaven chicken is tangy and full of flavor.

The staff is attentive and the service was quick too!

This is now my favorite Thai resteraunt in Houston and one of my favorites over all.

If you are looking fir something new give this place a try. They could really use the business!

We have eaten here for years and i will continue to eat here. The chinese fried rice is amazing, yellow curry noddle soup is so so good! Crispy egg rolls and great sauce, amazing chicken spring rolls. Pad thai and pad woo sin is also so so good! Just go, its good food, great prices and don't forget to tip!

Good food at reasonable prices. We get take out quite often but have enjoyed eating in lately.

We ordered the Kee Mao and Green Curry and it was absolutely delicious. This was our second time there and we order different dishes each time. Both times we really enjoyed our food. Their prices are very reasonable and you will not regret giving them a shot.

Food was not what I hoped for, nor was the service or price. Only one server on duty and she was BUSY. We ordered two appetizers, one entre and two bowls of soup (curry and Tom Yum). Cheese rolls were cold in the middle and overall ok. The chicken kabobs were quite bland. I ordered the vegetable stir fry with shrimp...mediocre at best. Rice accompanying all dishes was dry and not a full serving. I will say the soups were decent, my wife liked them. I personally was not a fan of the curry, or Tom yum.

We were flat out told that desert would take too long (sticky rice and mango?!?!). I was astonished. Lol. But I get it, she was busy. She was the only person handling to go orders, all the tables and every phone call. I couldn’t even get a water refill. 🤷‍♂️

All in all I would NOT recommend dining at this restaurant. My wife and I would only come back to order some curry to go (for her, not me). Very disappointed as we were hoping it would be great...not so. $52 total bill including tip and we left very dissatisfied.

Absolutely delicious! Got the tofu pad thai togo and it was perfect. It was flavorful and cooked just right. Only criticism was that the food in the Styrofoam togo container was warping the box. Most places this happens with hot food which is why I like foil to go down first. Regardless, excellent place and recommended.

1st time order. The food met my expectation. However, I did not get a notification via text message when food is ready as mentioned by beyondmenu.com. Since I dont believe this issue got anything to do with the restaurant, I am going to give it 5 stars ...

First time ordering takeout and the food is VERY underwhelming. The pad Thai was dry with very little sauce or flavor and way over cooked noodles. The pad see ew was also very bland and had hardly any noodles. Our spring rolls also came completely busted open and were difficult to eat. The only thing of redeeming value was the Tom kha soup which was delicious. That’s the only reason I went two stars instead of one. Overall, I think we’ll stick to our usual favorite thai place next time.

I ordered takeout recently for dinner and got the yellow curry. They manage takeout through a third party online service. I placed my order for immediate pickup ASAP. One hour later, still no call so I decided to call them and it turns out it had been ready 45 minutes ago. Why didn't they call or email me?? My food just sat there cold for 45 minutes. I feel like that's a very basic thing to do for to go orders is call the customer when food is ready or send out a notification via 3rd party ordering service. Anyway I get there and picked it up. I get back home and open the rice box, and I kid you not there was less than a cup of rice in there. It was sad. The rice to curry ratio was disappointing. I have no clue why they skimped on rice... It was overall disappointing from ordering to getting the food. The only plus was that it was close to my house and the curry itself was pretty good. I don't know if I'd give it another chance after such a disappointing first visit. Might just go back to my original neighborhood favorite elsewhere.

Huge portions, fantastic service, relaxing atmosphere, and great tasting Thai! The Tom Yum came out in this flaming pot that kept it warm, which was both nice and interesting to watch. They did something really cool with their menus too: the menus are visible through the glass tabletops, so you don't have to worry about handling nasty menus or asking for a menu when you want to order dessert! Which, by the way, you should totally do because their sticky rice is the bomb!

Great Pad Thai and Mango Curry!

Found restaurant through Google search. Had good reviews so I wanted to try. Feedback is cleaning could be so much better I can see dust on tables nearby and the salt shakers on my table. During a pandemic cleaning should be top notch. Decorating also needs to be updated. They still had Christmas and Halloween decor in August 2020. I dont know that I will be back. The appetizers cheese roll was ok. The sauce could be better. Dumplings were a bit over fried borderline burned. The curry was good tasting. Staff was attentive.. Overall Houston being a culinary city with so many options this one fell a bit short for me.

The best!! Peanut 🥜 Sauce is to die for. And the Service is awesome too.
