Food is good, which is why I spend $130 on takeout yet they demand tips on TAKEOUT… this tipping culture is making y’all lose customers very weird behavior. I didn’t appreciate driving 20 minutes there and pick up my food yet pay extra to pick up my own food!

Diner Review №2

The food is amazing, and the service is even better. They are always consistent and take care of you. It’s become a staple in my diet!

Diner Review №3

Very good. Spice level 2 is wasn't painful. Fresh food, prepared fast.

Diner Review №4

As a non Thai person I’m pretty impressed with the cuisine and this restaurant. We had
Crab Cream Cheese Rolls - loved it!!!! I’m gonna visit restaurant at least for this again.
Pad Kee Mao - good
Laotian Fried Rice Shrimp - again love it.

The Laotian Fried Rice is amazing (no spice or tomatoes for me)! The woman working in front suggested I try it and I’m so happy I listened to her.

Diner Review №10

Great fast thai food. Flavors were bomb but I got the thai hot spicy level and it was a bit too hot and I can take some heat. I would eat here again but go one spicy level lower.

Diner Review №11

That Asian girl at the front, I love her attitude. She packaged it fast. Fast paste and amazing attitude.

Diner Review №12

Great Service!
I had ordered at another location on accident and they still helped me out and was able to get my phone in 10 minutes.

Diner Review №13

First time to try here. We ordered lunch to be delivered for 6 people. Everything was quick and smooth no issues. Food arrived still a little hot. All orders were correct nothing missing or incorrect. I ordered the drunken noodles and had them very spicy. They were very good, and a lot of spice just like they advertised. We will definitely order from here again.

Diner Review №14

The food is consistently fresh and flavorful - outstanding quality! The yellow curry is the best, and drunken noodles are a must try! The service is quick and friendly!!

Diner Review №15

The best Southeast Asian food and AUTHENTIC in Victory Park. Everything so good. They never miss. I recommend the Nam Cao and Crab Rolls.

Diner Review №16

One of the Best pad Thai I’ve found in local area. Good spice levels.

Diner Review №17

Diner Review №18

I placed my pick up order at the wrong location but the manager was kind enough to make it for me at no extra charge. Food is great as always!!

Diner Review №19

Friendly staff and delicious steaming hot food. Recommend the pad thai with beef. Only take-out, but they have a few small outside tables.

Diner Review №20

I ordered food on UberEats from my hotel and they did not provide utensils. Big oversight. Why would you send out food to a hotel guest without plastic ware? Am I supposed to eat noodles with my hand? Awful!

Diner Review №21

Awsome service!! Yesenia made my day! Great staff also! My go to once a week!

Diner Review №22

Just ordered this for pickup through Uber Eats and it was hot so clearly it was freshly prepared. I’ve been searching for a good Thai spot and I’ve found a few that do the job but this one was amazing and will have me coming back for more. The other Thai restaurants were good enough but not enough to make me crave them like this did. I had the drunken noodles with shrimp. This will definitely be my go-to the next time I want Thai food.

Diner Review №23

Great establishment and staff, food always turns out hot and fresh.

Diner Review №24

If you love authentic quick and delicious Thai food then this is where you need to be.

Diner Review №26

Good tasting fried rice

Diner Review №27

Love this place! Excellent food, fast service, generous flavorful portions, people are so nice… Great for pick up and there's also a few tables outside. Highly recommend!! Parking is easy with free validation.

Diner Review №28

I had a problem with my order and they helped me correct it, very kind, helpful, good food

Diner Review №29

Diner Review №30

Not one vegan option. They’ve fish sauce in everything per the hostess. Apparently not even pineapple fried rice is vegan 🤯

Diner Review №31

Remade my order even though it was for a different location. Awesome service!

Diner Review №32

Diner Review №33

Yesenia is the best! Always has great customer service and a positive attitude. Definitely recommend the spot!

Diner Review №34

I ordered Uber eats and ordered pad Thai and red curry. The red curry was delicious! I would suggest to get an extra rice for all that curry. The Pad Thai had too many condiments/ sauce… on it. Not sure what was used or whether this is a different style of pad Thai from Thailand that I’m used to eating. It had a lot of pepper type sauce and sugar/ sweetener.

The restaurant carefully packed all my food nicely for delivery.

I moved to Dallas a few years ago and finally found my go to Thai restaurant. NYC has incredible Thai food so the standard is pretty high, but Zaap does an incredible job. The Pad See Ew is amazing. The location I go to is super convenient (only a 3 minute walk). The staff are super friendly and get your order out quickly. 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for good, spicy, and flavorful Thai food!

Diner Review №37

This place is convenient for local residents. However, it seems that the food is pre-prepared and simply heated, rather than cooked. I suspect it might be a mass kitchen producing imitation “wok” dishes.

I got 3 shrimp with my red curry. Is that normal?

Diner Review №38

The new portion sized treys are B.S. literally gives you half of the orginal containers with way to much rice.

Diner Review №39

The best Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) I have had in Dallas. I get tofu for the protein, no egg and no tomatoes. My food is always hot, fresh and tasty. A good spot to pick up something quick and good. Parking is difficult on the street, but they do validate parking for the garage.

Diner Review №40

Was looking for a Laos restaurant & found this little spot that's full of flavor. I ordered the Kao Piek, which is a Laos version of chicken noodle soup, and this was delicious! I ordered a side of Laos Pappaya Salad. Both were authentic for a place that looks like a fast food joint. A definite must try when in Dalls, TX.

Diner Review №42

Such nice service. Really easy to order. Best place to go after a stars or mavs game!

Diner Review №43

My wife ordered takeout from here and the wings, curry, house special fried rice and mango sticky rice were flavorful with the right amount of seasoning.
We were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed our dinner especially for the price
We will definitely eat from here again

Diner Review №44

I just moved to the area and I was in search of authentic Lao/Thai dishes. Many places are either too bland or Americanize. The first time I tried Zaap was in Greenville Ave. And I love the decor, simple, modernized with traditional food items. It’s straight to the point and the selections on the menu offer more traditional dishes than other restaurant lack of. This is the best Lao & Thai street food in the area in my opinion.
The flavors and ingredients are fresh and reminds me of my mom’s and aunts home cooking. It’s hard to find a restaurant that stay true to the culture. I am so happy that this location opened at Victory Park, it’s closer to me and this is my go to spot for take out at least once a week. My go to heavenly beef, the combo set with papaya salad, wings or Lao sausage with sticky rice, can’t go wrong with curry, pad Thai, Tom Yum, egg rolls, Thai basil chicken, fried rice, and of course my all time fave and a must is NAM KHAO. Just try it all! My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Diner Review №45

So kind and accommodating and the food is delicious!! I mistakenly placed an order at the wrong location and they were quick to help me out without issue!!

Diner Review №46

This is my go to lunch spot I can walk to from work! By the time I pick it up and walk back to sit down and eat it’s still piping hot and fresh!
I highly recommend the Drunken Noodles lvl 3 spicy! Be careful if you go any higher than that!

Diner Review №47

I am so glad they opened this store in downtown area. It becomes my “go-to” place for lunch. Great food, fast preparation and very well service!

Diner Review №48

I placed an Uber eats order with this restaurant. Upon delivery my entire order was thrown out in the bag. I contacted the restaurant to speak with a manager to let them know how my order was delivered and I was told to dispute it with Uber instead. This is extremely unacceptable and horrible customer service. Definitely won’t be ordering from here again!

Diner Review №50

Cool little place. Delicious food! If you are on your way to the game grab a bite there.

Diner Review №51

Looking for Lao food? Go somewhere else. (Even for Thai food - go elsewhere)

Food was a complete disappointment. There were so many rave reviews and this place just did not add up to it. If you are truly accustomed to asian flavors, this place should be a zero star. If you want to try your hand at asian flavors - go somewhere else.

I ordered their wings, lao style papaya salad, nam khao, lao sausage, sticky rice, and jeow bong.

Service - They were very friendly and had my food ready to go when I got there to pick it up. No complaints. I was in and out in less than 2 seconds. Location is nice and convienent. Its a small location so once you enter, the cash register is literally right there. Will have to dine outside if you're trying to have a sit down meal.

FOOD

Wings - Tasteless. There's fried garlic topped on the wings, but the wings itself had zero flavor. I mean - nada. Its almost like the wings were just fried, plain.

Lao Sausage - I was excited for this because lao sausages are my favorite. This had, again, zero flavors. No herbs and spices that you would usually find in a well made lao sausage. It tasted like plain pork meat in a casing to sell off as "sausage". Go to a true lao restaurant for the real deal. Can't be passing this off as "lao sausage".

Papaya Salad (Lao Style) - I specifially ordered lao style because I like the crab paste and if they choose to include, padaek. All the funk, dark color, and flavors. This.. was definitely not lao style. Maybe thai style but a far cry from lao style. Not even remotely close. It was mostly a lime flavor. That is NOT what a papaya salad should taste like.

Nam Khao - This was maybe the only dish that had some flavors and was passable. Its a little to sweet for nmm khao, but its close. Wouldn't buy it from here again though.

Sticky Rice - Cant really go wrong here except they did. Sticky rice was EXPENSIVE compared to just about anywhere else. And what did I get for paying $5? 2 tiny balls wrapped in saean wrap, thrown into a larger paper box. The amount of rice recieved should have costed only $1. It was a ridiculouy small amount for anyone.

Jeow bong - You can't call this jeow bong. This is NOT jeow bong. Not even close. This, instead, is the exact flavor you would use as a dipping sauce for vietnamese eggrolls. Thats it.

Overall, if you want to taste true lao flavors, go somewhere else. The price and taste of food here is not worth it. Very nice staff, but I'm here for food. My critique lies within the taste of the food. I have nothing against their service as it was very professional. However, that does not change my mind nor should I be lenient on my opinions of their products - the food.

Diner Review №52

I ordered the Laotian fried rice and it’s the best fried rice I’ve ever had. They charge a dollar for soy sauce and forgot to put mine in the bag…but this has to be the best food I’ve had from a restaurant in a while so that makes up for it.

Diner Review №53

Muy recomendado servicio y comida muy excelente

Diner Review №54

My dish was extremely salty

Diner Review №55

The food was amazing really friendly and helpful staff they helped us navigate threw the menu and i was really blown away at how fast the food was made. These people are awesome. Definitely coming back!!

Diner Review №56

Not a sit in restaurant. Standing room only to order.

Diner Review №57

Food is really good. Primarily a take out spot as there are only 3 tables outside to sit at. Close to AAC if you can grab a table and want to eat something better than what the AAC offers before going to a game. There is no bathroom, so that was a little inconvenient. I would probably order from them regularly if I lived nearby. The dine in options (or lack thereof) and lack of bathroom is only reason why I don't give them a 5 star.

Diner Review №58

Great food. Great service.

Diner Review №59

Great food at a good price

Diner Review №60

Hands down best Thai place in the area. Have ordered from Ka, Mint, and a plethora of other Thai places. Not saying those aren’t decent options but Zaap tastes much fresher and accommodates any special instructions provided. Cheers to the staff/chef!

Diner Review №61

delicioso muy recomendado

Diner Review №62

YAY we have a location in Victory Park!!! Their food is fantastic and now I don't have to drive across town to get it. Fantastic addition to the neighborhood.

Diner Review №63

The garlic chicken wings and Pad Thai are phenomenal!

Diner Review №64

we were heading to the airport and wanted one last bite before heading out. Passed it while heading to another restaurant, and decided to take a chance. It was everything we needed that we didn’t know we needed.
Fast Thai food, no seating indoors, a few tables and a bench outside. If you want quick take out, this would be the spot. Got the drunken noodles with pork and a chicken pad Thai. The pork in the drunken noodles was sort of ground which I’ve never had before but it worked, the whole dish was very flavorful and saucey (a little too much sauce for me). I would had wanted a few more noodles to soak up the sauce. The chicken was tender and rich in flavor and the peanuts come in a separate container which I think is a smart touch. We also got the Lao sausage but it’s not worth getting, not super juicy and was not that interesting. Staff was friendly and personable. Overall, given our short time constraint and having been disappointed before with an Asian fusion place, this place pleasantly surprised us.

Drunken noodles were okay

Diner Review №66

So happy this place opened up in Victory Park. Food is always solid!

SO glad Zaap Kitchen opened up another location in Victory Park!! It's such a fun area and Zaap Kitchen is the perfect newest addition. Can't get enough of their Pad Thai!

Diner Review №74

I’m so glad this place opened up! The neighborhood needed some variety as far as food goes. This is the spot for Thai food! I’ve had their drunken noodles and it doesn’t disappoint. The noodles are saucy & flavorful and not dry. The shrimp blankets are my fav appetizer so far - it’s perfectly seasoned. I will definitely be back to try it all :)

Diner Review №75

Definitely a must try, the drunken noodles were delicious and aren’t skimpy with the protein! Service is quick and food is given hot.

Diner Review №76

Hubby and I had this for dinner and it was some of the best pad Thai!!! Also, the way they put the crushed peanuts in a separate container without me having to ask 10/10.
