Lao and Thai cuisine
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I recently dined at this fantastic Thai restaurant and was absolutely blown away! The fried rice was simply divine, perfectly cooked with just the right amount of spice to give it that authentic Thai kick. Every bite was a delightful explosion of flavors. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an exceptional Thai dining experience. Can’t wait to come back!
The foods come in very small portions but the display looks great! Their sticky rice has hard, clumped pieces of it. The curry noodle tastes good but plain with no bamboo, no egg plant, no quail egg, not even a carrot/potato/pea is in it. Papaya salad tastes stale like it has been frozen. The Thai tea has a slight bitterness taste to it and colored my whole mouth to orange. Recommended for newbies to SE Asian cuisine and should be called "Intro Bite to Lao and Thai" instead lol. I don't really like the high chair and table and how there's no music inside but hostess seems nice.
Are you looking for great Thai in the greater Denton area? Go here! It’s not visible from the highway and can therefore be easily missed… but don’t! We had several things and were all top notch. The service was kind, speedy, and efficient. They even accommodated my dietary needs! Pictured: Tom Kha, Crab Rangoon, Kuay Jab, Pad Thai, and Black Sticky Rice.
Note: They definitely bring the heat, so choose your level carefully!
Fine is the best way to describe the Thai food here. Nothing special when it comes to Sesame Chicken, Pad Sew Ewe, or Curry...
I've only been once, so maybe (hopefully) I just got a bad batch, but we do not plan to return.
This place is normally the wife's and I favorite take-out spot. I should have known from the moment I walked in. The wife places our order through grubhub, based of the app we were notified of the approximate pick up time. We get notified about 5 minutes before our arrival that our order was ready for pick-up. I walk in and was not even greeted just asked about dine-in or pick-up. I tell the young lady behind the counter that I'm picking up an order the wife placed through grubhub and asked for her name I give the wife's info and was told it would be ready shortly.
I stand back from the counter and then see the owner walk out of the office (which is located off the kitchen) and she begins prepping my dishes to hand to the cook. The cook prepares all 5 of my dishes, which consisted of a basil fried rice (level 3 spice), orange chicken (level 5 spice) pad see ew (level 2 spice) which was ordered for my stepdaughter who is just building up her spice tolerance, wife and I both ordered pad kee mow (spice level 4 for her and spice level 5 for me) I drive home anxiously awaiting one of my favorite Thai dishes.
I tear open the bag hand out the appropriate dishes to the family. I grab my plate and fork dish out a portion of said pad kee mow, and fried rice here. I should have known by the lack of nasal stimuli that there was literally zero spice in my dishes. I thought we'll maybe I'm just tonexcited to partake in my food that I just missed it. Well wouldn't you know, I take a bite of fried rice with absolute disappointment then a bite of pad kee mow and more disappointment.
I step away from the table and immediately call and am explain my disappointment to the young lady that answers the phone. I am basically told that the blame lies on their supplier of chilies has provided them with a order of lackluster chili both fresh and flake. I explain mine and my families disappointment in lack of spice in all our dishes, only to be told oh well. I basically tell her that it would be nice if we were notified of the lack of spice either offered to sell us more flake or fresh chili pepper to compensate for mild chili or just offer the opportunity to return and pick some up. We then exchange about 5 minutes of dialog without a resolution. I then ask what time the owner or manager would be in tomorrow so that I can take the matter up with her. The young lady finally says we'll she's available if you'd like to speak with her, I then tell the youngblady that I'd rather speak with her in person tomorrow as I will not delay dinner with my family any longer. Luckily I had some Korean chili flake and Sriracha to help make up for mild food.
TLDR: Ordered spicy food and was disappointed. Owner / manger could take a trip to the store to acquire ingredients to supplement mild chili's from their supplier. We could have ordered from Panda Express with the same result, but YMMV. Good luck!!
I will update this review after my discussion with the manager / owner tomorrow afternoon. Pictures show we are willing to pay for our extras.
We ordered takeout and while the food was tasty (peanut chicken, crab Rangoon & sesame chicken ) these were some of the smallest portions we've ever had for takeout. Containers were barely half full and I was still hungry afterwards.
Came at 8pm - The cashiers take your order, it excludes smiles. There are no condiments on the tables, anything you need extra you go to the front and ask for it, also you’ll pay $1.50 for a thimble of the fish sauce. Cashier/servers did not check to on us. The owner sat at one of the tables, looking at his phone without offering anything. Notice lots of to go orders, I suppose they don’t need to have serviceable manners if your sales come from to go orders. Food was below average, thank goodness I was hungry. About the food: Sticky rice was NOT sticky rice,, soup was OK, fried coconut shrimp was flattened to death, over fried, with no flavor, and fried spring rolls were also tasteless . The sauce for both was corn syrup. I tried to fix it up a little bit with some soy sauce and some Sriracha. It wasn’t a good meal. The place is clean.
Delicious Thai and Lao food! My partner and I absolutely love this place, and we order take out on a regular basis; they never disappoint and they're food is always fresh and hot. 10/10 would highly recommend!

Nice to find authentic Laotian cuisine in North Texas
Food hit the spot! 😁

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I ordered the Tom Yum soup, and to my horror, something was MOVING in it. I don’t know if it was a bug or something else, but it was enough to make me lose my appetite immediately. The staff didn’t seem overly concerned when I brought it up. Absolutely unacceptable. I won’t be coming back.”
Service was very friendly and the cooks are legit. When you got an asian lady in the back cooking you know its going to be good
Best crab rangoons I have ever had!!
Something changed with the food or the cook, but something was definitely missing in terms of flavor and quality. Nothing was spiced even a little when I ordered a #2 spice level. This was one of our go-to for Thai, but I don’t think we can do it anymore.
Great food and decent price.

Ordered pad see ew take out. They added something I was allergic to that I specifically specified not to add and I made sure it was on the receipt. It wasn’t till I got home and mixed up the food that I saw it. I called them and they didn’t believe me so I had to bring the old dish in to show them, they then proceeded to remake my new dish in about 3 minutes. It tasted very salty and had no flavor. They didn’t offer me a refund or any sort of compensation. While the server was very nice, I would’ve expected better customer service and taste.
Favorite location, friendly staff. You know who you are! Appreciate you

We are semi regulars here and usually get the same dishes. They are are always good but today was expectionally delicious for me. I get the Basil mince with pork (similar to pad grapao) and always like it extra spicy (8 on a scale of 1-5). Today the kitchen had access to some fresh thai chilies and it showed. The blend of flavors and depth of spiciness was some of the best I've ever had. Couple that with a fried egg on top and the associated richness was a perfect balance.
This place is awesome!
Flavorful food, adjustable spice level & friendly staff. This is my regular go-to place for Thai food.
This is absolutely the best and most amazing quality Thai restaurant I have ever been to!
Fresh made from scratch, I just can’t believe this place exist here in Corinth! I have not had a bad dish yet.
Anytime we come to town we try to make it here.
This place is so good, it’s become a once a week place for my fam. I love the papaya salad, any of the soups, the noodle dishes, and the salad rolls. But the star is their handmade noodle chicken soup, a go to every time anyone gets sick. All very traditional, all f’ing awesome. Highly recommend this joint.
This place is awesome. But they always close 30 to 45 mins early, then they say they close. It's frustrating...
We order take out or we dine in at least twice a month from this restaurant. Our go to is pad kee mao and yellow curry and both are very flavorful. It’s reasonable considering it is a foreign authentic cuisine. Staff is friendly and our kids love the food too.
We were fortunate to be located very close to this restaurant while on a trip and picked up food to go. We eat Thai food all the time and this restaurant served some of the best Pad Thai we have ever had. Everything we ordered was delicious. If we lived closer, this would be a routine stop for us. Food was delicious, service was great and the order was ready quickly.
Always great food friendly service and well priced. We eat here at leat 3 times a month.
The Khao soi is incredible, thank y'all so much.
The food is the best I’ve had in a long time! We ordered Pad See Ew, Crab Rangoon, Sesame Chicken, Thai Tea, & Mango desert, everything was absolutely delicious 😋😋 We look forward to bringing our family members to enjoy the wonderful dishes! Try them out, it’s a bit warm in restaurant but food makes up for that, satisfied customers!
So good!
I love this place!!!! 💕💕💕💕
Great place to find delicious gluten free food!
Love this place !
Our family comes here several times a month and we have never been disappointed. I would highly recommend to anyone who loves Asian food!
I've ordered delivery twice from here and I'm hooked. The presence is amazing. The food is even better. I'm obsessed. This is going to be my weekly treat to myself after a long work week. I call it "Pho Friday" and order their chicken Pho. But I might switch it up going forward and try something else. The Thai tea crab rangoons are also tasty! I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. :)
The food here is absolutely fantastic. It has been one of my go-to places over the last 6 months. I’m a creature of habit and generally get the same thing but whenever I have ventured out, I have not been disappointed.
You'll still be hungry portions are small but tastes good.
I live right next to this place and I come here around once a week. It’s always so good. I love all their soups. The cashiers are also super nice.
Love that your order at the register the young lady is super nice, friendly and professional!!!
I love the food options here feels like I’m in Thailand and I’ve never been 😅 they even have a full coconut you can drink from 😋
I had the Thai papaya salad and chicken pad Thai!! 😋
Out of the multiple Thai places we’ve tried in DFW, this place in particular was delicious and the best tasting. We had the fried chicken wings, Tom Kha soup, Pad See Ew, Yellow Curry Fried Rice, and the mango sticky rice. They were all delicious and fresh. Highly recommend!
Great vibe but the food are washed down version of Thai and Laos. The cashiers can offer a bit more hospitality.
Excellent food, quick service and very friendly.
Got take out from here for lunch and it was delicious! Order was completed super quick. Ordered Pad See Ew and it was super fresh and had great flavor - prob the best Pad See Ew we’ve had. Also got shrimp salad rolls and peanut sauce which were great! So happy to have such a great place so close to home.
Been here a few times and we are never disappointed. It can get busy at times, but it’s worth the wait. I’ve had the yellow curry, pad Thai, and tried the pad kee mow. All delicious!
Food is delicious and spice level was right but dinner portion is more like a lunch special at full price.
This place is so very good. I travel from McKinney to Corinth just to get the Crab Fried Rice and Pad Kee Mow. There is a location in Allen but it doesnt compare to this one. I highly recommend 10 out of 10.
Great spice level and unique dishes
So disappointed with the customer service! I’ve been coming here for a while now and the service seems to be going down hill. Long story short…they messed up my previous order and wanted me to drive back to the store to return it (in the rain). I asked for a manager and was told they would call me back. I waited approximately 3 hours for them to call me back and according to the cashier, the manager said that they don’t issue refunds but agreed to give me “credit on my next order” compensation for the incorrect item I received. Well, today placed an order but I didn’t order the same thing. When I asked about the credit, the cashier said that I had to order the same thing in order to get the credit. That’s not what I was originally told and feel like I was forced to ordering something I didn’t want. This is unacceptable and surely not customer friendly. You messed up my original order so the credit should have been issued regardless of what I ordered…as long as I ordered something.. It’s the principle! Treat your customers the way that you would like to be treated!
Signed one unhappy customer!!
Friendly staff, food taste great, clean.
Horrible service. Bland food. I recommend you keep driving past this place.
Good vegetarian dishes, able to adjust spice level
Clean place and food were great
I ordered door dash here. I got the larb gai chicken and I was super disappointed. I’ve had a lot of different places and this is the worst one i’ve ever had. Their allen location is better.
Hair in food! I had a long hair in my food. They wouldn’t comp the meal, but they offered to make another one. Grossed me out. I don’t want to eat ANOTHER plate with hair in it!
Mediocre food and worse service
I highly recommend Bite of Lao and Thai. I always order Pad See Ew and Tom Kha which are both excellent but after looking at the menu and reading other reviews I definitely need to try some of their other dishes....like the crab fried rice and the pineapple fried rice. Bet I won't be disappointed either!!!
My wife and I just ate at A Bite of Lao and Thai and we were very impressed. The food was delicious - my wife had Cashew Chicken and I had Red Curry. Both dishes were great! Their prices are very affordable and the service was awesome. We WILL be regular customers. I highly recommend this restaurant if you love great Thai / Lao food in a bright and friendly environment. Just go! You'll love this place!
For me, this particular 'A Bite of Lao and Thai' has been a hit and a miss.
We have bought a couple of items from this restaurant over the past year or so, and some items have been good (the Pad Thai) and some items have just gone bad in quality over time (Tom yum soup, for example).
We continue to get dinner from here at times but it almost seems like they are losing their grip on quality, slowly.
Service is ok, and I really cannot comment on it since all of my orders have been takeouts.
A decent atmosphere to dine in, although not a lot of tables to sit at, which is understandable.
A year ago, I would given 5/5 but with the decline in quality, it's now at 3/5.

I was super excited to try this restaurant. I just moved to the area and I really love Thai food. I came here in hopes that this would be my go to spot based off of the reviews. I came in around 8:25pm not realizing that they closed at 9:00. As soon as I walked in and got to the register where two girls were standing neither one of them said a word. They did not greet us at all instead I heard grunts, huffs, and puffs and my partner who came with me saw that one of the hosts banged her hand on the counter as if she was mad. It is never that serious. Communication is key! If the kitchen was closed I would have completely understood, but instead you give us stank faces, and utter everything else but words. I never make reviews but I am going to start for both good and bad experiences. Mainly to point out the fact that we are all human and despite that you have no clue as to who you encounter it’s never good to leave a bad taste in someone’s mouth like that.
The food is fabulous. We ordered two appetizers and two dinners. My husband had the house special octopus. It was tender and the sauce was fantastic. I had the drunken noodles and loved the flavor. Nice to have a nearby place for fabulous food!!
Torn about sharing how good this place is. I want them to do really well, but I don’t want the secret to get out because this place is seriously good. Best Thai food in Denton area.
Nice place outside an apartment complex. Menu is nice, lots of variety. I'll be back, knowing now that difference between a 3 out of 5 on the spice scale!
Great food and service!!! Came in with a family of 6 plus another family of 4 and everything came out yummy. We will be back!
Food was great very tasty, my plate portion was a good size. Would definitely recommend. Over all good service
While the ambiance at A Bite of Lao and Thai - Corinth, TX initially seemed promising, the lighting was a major letdown. The dining area was either too dim or too harshly lit, making it difficult to read the menu or see the presentation of the dishes. It created an uncomfortable and uninviting atmosphere that made it challenging to fully enjoy the dining experience. Improving the lighting would greatly enhance the overall ambiance and customer satisfaction.
Great variety of Thai food that is prepared exceptionally well. Spicy, spicy if you like that way. The restaurant atmosphere is simple. However, I go for the food which is great.
Items were missing from the platter we ordered. It did not have what was listed on the menu. When we questioned it the chef was not interested. we got a shrug and “I only work here” from the staff. No one cared.
Are you looking for great Thai in the greater Denton area? Go here! It’s not visible from the highway and can therefore be easily missed… but don’t! We had several things and were all top notch. excellent food. the pad see ew was the best I've had. the service was excellent. its a family run operation which i love.
Just had lunch. Ate the Sukiyaki soup and WOW. I love asian soups. And this was a different version of Sukiyaki. Delicious! And I had the suasage appetizer with the wonderful suace. I will definately go back as they offer several other dishes that I know I will love.
Update: This place is legit - they got all the opening issues worked out. I’ve been back 3 times since writing my last review and the food/service has been excellent. So glad to have such a great restaurant lose to home.
I had a couple of bad experiences when they first opened. The fried rice was a little too greasy and there weren’t enough vegetables and tofu…but they just opened so I wanted to hang with them, so I tried a few more times and the food is greatly improved. The price and location are a big plus. If you’re in the area give them a shot.
I've enjoyed the food every single time. It's great having a Thai restaurant in Corinth!
Food was amazing. We got shrimp pad thai, pineapple fried rice, and pork egg rolls. It was so fresh and flavorful! I have travelled many parts of the US and internationally, by far....this has been the most flavorful meal! For those who think they can handle spicy..stick with a level 4!
Awesome! Great family runing the busy.
It was amazing, the mango sticky rice was delightful against the level 3 spicy orange chicken. I will go back to try other things soon!
Family run restaurant. The food was next level great! Service was fantastic. I had the Pad Kee Mow and let me tell you, it was unreal. We also had the papaya salad and that was fantastic too! This place is our new fave. Check this place out if you want great Lao or Thai!
Really good service and amazing food! Must try the soup. It’s so far one of the best I had. Just moved to the area and luckily find this hidden gem ✨
I've been to this restaurant no less than 4 times in the last 10 days...it is that good! The service and the food are great! Great flavor, super fresh (saw them cutting the vegetables by hand, no frozen veggies), good portions...really can't go wrong here!
Ordered Thai flat noodles and pho. The noodles turned out far better than pho.
Excellent Pad See Ew and Tom Kha soup! Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Will definitely return!
So happy with the food we got here. Tom kha, pad Thai, and pad see ew were all delicious.
Always like to support the local places, checked this one out tonight. Ordered the Tom kha soup (chicken), chicken pad thai, and panang curry chicken. The Tom kha was good, although a bit strong on the onion and cilantro. The pad thai and curry were quite tasty though. Will definitely return and try additional dishes next time.
I've had better. It's loud due to the kitchen vent fan. The food was just ok. The service was good but not great.
It's a decent place for flavor but sticky rice was soggy (aka not sticky enough). It's also a little concerning when the cashier cannot pronounce larb correctly when that is the national dish of Laos so low expectations were already set from the get-go and it matched the food. I might give this this place a try again later when they have more time to adjust. Ordered larb gai with sticky rice and nam khao.
Absolutely love this place and so glad I dont have to drive to Carrollton or Dallas for amazing thai food! We've been several times and tried different dishes each time - loved them all. Kids love the orange chicken, which is not your usual sickeningly sweet sauce. More of an orange peel sauce. My favorite so far is the Pad Kee Mow. We love super super spicy Thai, and they deliver on that end too.
I tried the orange chicken and Tom yum soup. The Tom yum soup was delicious! It was flavorful -sweet and tangy and 4 spice level was hot! I loved it. I just wished there was more chicken because there was a few pieces.
The orange chicken was pitiful. It looked and tasted like I got 7 pieces of friend chicken in some watery orange chicken sauce and it didn’t marinade on the chicken. The broccoli was undercooked. I wouldn’t come back from that.
I'm so glad A Bite of Lao and Thai is now in Corinth! We used to eat at the Allen location all the time, but since moving to Denton, we haven't had the opportunity to drive that distance, now we don't have to! Our order was hot, even by the time we got home, it was made correctly, the food was amazing, and the staff was extremely nice.
Our Order: Pad Thai, Sweet and Sour Chicken, (2) Tom Yum soups, order of fried rice, and one crab ragoon. All were AMAZING!
Staying at a local hotel after traveling for 6hrs from out of state.
Ordered sesame chicken with veggies found a long one hair wrapped in a piece of broccoli.
Told the lady working and said she tried calling owner got no answer on phone
The restaurant did nothing to make it right.
Employee offered to pay for a new meal with her own money.
Why would you do that
I am a small business owner and I would never do that to my customers who walked in my business.
I am sorry your business ethics are so poor .
I would never recomend eating there.
Sorry I didn't rest and drive somewhere else.
Best Thai in the area. I'd put it up against all the other Thai food spots up in Denton. Great flavor and execution. The restaurant's ambience isn't spectacular, but it's byob.
Love that there is authentic Lao and Thai food here. I highly recommend for your taste buds 😄
Great place to eat..the pepper steak was my favorite…eat this over Panda Express any day
Good food, good service, and good prices. Really enjoyed it
Best Thai food in the area, and it's very well priced.
Delicious basic fried rice (Spicy). I've had the chicken one day and beef the other, both were superb. Super tasty, and it feels like they made it with 1 day old rice.
Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Food is delicious!
Great service and delicious food!
I ordered the following off Doordash today: Beef pho 0 spice and 1 thai tea. I noticed this place was new on Doordash and thought I'd try because I really love pho. I did not see the restaurant itself so I cannot speak for that. I will say after today's lunch, I really want to go to the restaurant.
Pho: Came with some meatballs and cooked beef in a broth in it's own container. Noodles and veggies were in their own container. Great way to package this item to go. The broth on its own was extremely flavorful and some of the best pho broth I've had! The meat might've cooked a bit extra sitting in the broth, but it was still very tasty! The veggies were fresh and plentiful. I will say I think it would've been nice if there was a little side of hoisin like it is at a nearby pho place. However, it was still good on it's own.
Thai tea: Classic delicious thai tea that came in it's own bag. Was delicious and not watered down.
I look forward to trying more items and coming in person.
