Classic and modern Thai fair, cozy, and comfortable atmosphere. BYOB beer and wine only. All unannounced tables over 5 people will not be seated.

Found this restaurant after checking out the Chinese grocery. We were surprised by the generous portion of each dish. This was also the very first time we discovered Kuai Jab in Texas. We don’t see this dish offered in countless Asian restaurants we visited. The flavor of Kuai Jab was pretty closed to Asia even though it can be less salty.
Great job preparing the meals for us. We were be back and we highly recommend this Thai restaurant.
My rating as 5 is the highest
Taste 4/5
Temperature 5/5 food was served hot.

Cleanliness 4/5
This place was vey nice! As soon as we got in we were greeted by the server! She was very nice and friendly I got a Thai ice tea and soon after that we start to order!
The food arrived fairly quick my wife got the Pad Thai and I got the Kra Prow Kai Dow! I ordered a 5/10 spicy level and I was very satisfied with the level of spicy it had the perfect amount of kick for me! Hahahaha
My wife wanted the Pad Thai to be more spicy so she added more chilli.
The experience was very nice and enjoyable … this is a very nice place to explore and check out the food was very tasty and we were both very happy! I would definitely come back and get some more Pad Thai next time I crave some Thai food 🍲
I recommend this place if you have a craving for Thai food and they will deliver!
Feel free to check out the pictures and see for yourself how they go !!!
I just happened to be hungry while in the area and spotted this place. I'm SO glad I decided to give it a try. This was one of those meals that your soul thanks you for while eating. The chicken curry puffs look so delicate, you can tell they are made with care. I also ordered the massa man curry pork. Not only was it absolutely delicious, but the portion is definitely enough to feed two people. I highly recommend this place and will be back soon, lots of things on the menu I want to try now.
My Panama Chicken, @medium heat, was one of the best I’ve had. The sauce had a nice thick texture and not watery.
My partner had the Yellow Curry with chicken and was also very pleased with her dish.
We shared the spring rolls with the house peanut dipping sauce…I’d like that recipe 😎
First time visiting and won't be my last. Had the Drunken noodles at a level 5 heat. It was perfect. The papaya salad with shrimp.......on boy! Duck pad thai......OUTSTANDING. I recommend this restaurant for great service, great food and great atmosphere. Let me know and I will co.e with you.
We were here on thursday night dinner on Rainy/foggy day! There were couple of tables occupied we were asked to sit ourselves where ever we wanted.
Ordered Taro Curry, Pineapple fried rice with chicken, Pineapple fried rice with tofu and drunken noodles with no spice!
We asked what are the spice levels and waitress said they have spice levels 1-10, anything over 5 is thai hot levels. So we ordered spice level 5 for the fried rice!
Waitress stopped by after few and said they did not have flat noodles so we ordered kids fried rice!
We received the fried rice before the appetizers. We had to remind them about the appetizer.
Pineapple fried rice lacked flavor, spice level 5 is more like 2. Quantity was pretty good but lack flavor made it not enjoyable. Kids found their fried rice to be ok!
Taro curry puffs were very good, although I did not see any curry flavor, not sure why they even call it that.
Overall we were disappointed with the food, we had high hopes based on the previous reviews, may be not their best night!
Flavor! Flavor! This is definitely an authentic hidden gem for anyone who likes Thai food.
Wonder experience. The owners are friendly, professional, and give great service. I love their food. It is the best!
We ordered Khao soi and drunken noodles and both were delicious!
It was great food. We definitely plan to go back more often.

My go-to local Thai place for take out and a quick meal. Very authentic flavors.
The food is customized to your spice level. Mine is a 3. Our friend/quazi-son, Sean, likes a 7 or 8. The flavors are complex, but remain bright and have just a hint of smoky yummiest ever bliss. I highly recommend a trip to experience the whole package.

must-try for Thai food lovers! Their spicy Tom Yum soup is a flavor bomb, and the fresh spring rolls are top-notch. The cozy vibe and friendly service make this place stand out
Amazing food and prices are outstanding. Such good quality! Highly recommend treating yourself to some amazing Thai cuisine.
Live in the area and have been ordering takeout from here for years. The chicken pad Thai is the best I’ve had anywhere. The servings are huge- I can make three meals out of one order. Love this place!
Amazing food, incredible service. I got the green curry and asked for extra spicy and they delivered. This place is fantastic, you have to give it a try.
Somehow my GPS decided I needed to try this place. Listening in maybe? I had said I wanted some Tom Yum soup earlier today but hadn't been here before. Very tasty. Thai is a personal favorite. Added 3 shrimp to the chicken and a spicy level of 5 which was just right for me. They said comparable to a serrano pepper. So good and will be back. No pictures this time and maybe next. Recommend for sure.
As a Thai person this place hits all
The flavors that are authentic to Thai food. Everything is good. Try the coconut soup. Best in all of Texas.

8/26/24 Tomyumkung is legit Thai and absolutely delicious. Actually spicy if you want it to be which is rare🌶️Ask for the chopped Thai chili peppers and roasted Thai chili peppers friend!!🌶️Fantastic!!! The young man serving us was very informative and helpful. Extra knowledgeable on everything and attentive, excellent customer service, a great server. There’s nice drink options and the menu is certainly not lacking. If you want Thai food in Carrollton, I definitely recommend Tomyumkung🤟🏼
10/06/24 Birthday lunch here for me this Sunday, this’s incredibly good food! Thai cashew, Thai peanut, red curry and kra prow kai dow are amazing! The young lady serving was very attentive and kind. Everyone here have outstanding customer service! I seriously don’t think I’ll go anywhere else for Thai food other than Tomyumkung. Thank you all again for a great meal and service!💗
Food is amazing. 🤤🤤🤤
Pad Thai is best in the area. Parents have lived in Thailand and say this place is legit. Great curries, stir-fries, and mango sticky rice. A nice couple runs the place and has good service. I keep coming back!
My favorite Thai restaurant!!
Went for lunch. We have been to several Thai restaurants in Dallas. This was by far the best in terms of flavor. Portion size was also larger compared to other Thai restaurants. Started with chicken satay and fresh roll and had couple of curries (red snd green). All were fresh and flavorful. Will definitely come again.
Vary nice and excellent food. Had a group of 10 and they were very accommodating!
Good spice level friendly staff I got the calamari and pineapple fried rice. good portions too
First time going to Tomyumkung, and would definitely come back. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive, making sure that our water was topped up on a regular basis.
The portion sizes are generous and very affordable. We got the Tom Yum noodle soup and Pad Thai - both were delicious and tasted fresh. We got spice level 4 and 3 (out of 10) respectively, and we felt like it provided the perfect amount of kick.
If you love Thai food, you have to try this place. There's plenty of parking and easy to get to!
Owner was very patient with us listening to what we were looking for. Food was nice and spicey. It's worth it you should definitely check it out.
This restaurant stands out among a sea of very similar almost commodity-like Thai restaurants. TomYumKung is extraordinary. Some of their dishes are only great, but many are likely to be best you will find anywhere (perhaps short of Thailand). One of the key differentiators of food quality at TomYumKung is the passionate and fastidious attention of constantly improving ingredient quality.
The owners personally grow many of the vegetables, peppers and herbs that are either too hard to source locally or are just not at the quality level needed for the exceptional food they prepare. For example, the Thai-style papaya salad is by far the best I have had anywhere. Oftentimes you will be treated to nice chunks of a reddish green long bean that is incorporated in the salad. Along these lines, when possible, they grow kra pow (holy basil) to use in kra pow kai dow instead of the much more common Thai basil. The "real deal" gives the dish a more unique almost medicinal taste that is fantastic.
They are always looking to improve quality-whether it be subtle tweaks or more significant adjustments. It could be reducing the tamarind sauce used in pad Thai for 40+ hours or slicing fish used in the curries a bit thinner or adjusting the amount of peppers added to a dish to account for increased spiciness that comes in hot weather. Details matter. Proper execution matters. All this usually comes together at this restaurant. Probably my favorite combination of two dishes at TYK is the pad Thai (with more egg and no meat, plus fresh chilies) paired with Thai-style papaya salad. Exceptional!
One of my favorite things about this restaurant is their detailed knowledge of all the ingredients they use, which allows me to make modification requests. I don't eat pork or shellfish of any kind. Because they are so attuned to their ingredients, they can either make adjustments to fit my dietary restrictions or suggest suitable alternatives.
Got this tasty treat to go and they did not disappoint. I love trying different Thai restaurants and this place by far has authenticity. I'm sure all dishes are delicious but I tried the drunken noodles with beef and the authenticity of this platter was something I've never tasted before 10 stars the spice is to your liking as well I chose 6-7 that was quite enough. I also had a small hot and sour soup and again the taste once it hits the tongue is touched with authenticity. I will most definitely be back for more. Let's not forget the dessert sticky rice and mango well you have to go to find out😁💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
First visit was for dine in dinner. We ordered soft shell crab and Duck Pad Thai. Both were delicious and the service was spot on.
Good food.

We had a very disappointing experience at Tomyumkung Thai Cafe. Our group of 16, including two children and an infant, stopped by for lunch on a Sunday while heading to DFW Airport. Despite the restaurant being empty, the owner and her husband insisted on squeezing us into two tables even though there was plenty of space. When we asked about menu prices, the owner’s husband said prices varied depending on payment method and made the process unnecessarily complicated. He didn’t seem to know the final costs offhand. After this frustrating exchange, he abruptly asked us to leave, even after we had waited 20 minutes to place our order. We had to quickly find another restaurant, which caused us to miss our flight from DFW to LAX. This led to a 15-hour wait at the airport for the next flight. Their unprofessional and unfriendly attitude made for an incredibly stressful experience, especially for a large group with young children. Additionally, the restaurant owners seemed racist, judging us by our skin color. We want to warn potential customers about the poor service, lack of accommodation, and discriminatory behavior we encountered.
Went with some work mates who were craving Thai. I wanted to try a new place and we were not disappointed. Food was spectacular. Service was exceptional. The owner told us his story on how he ended up with the restaurant and it is an amazing story. The fact that they grow their own peppers is a nice touch. Highly recommend when the hankering for Thai hits you. Definitely my go to moving forward.
Great food!
Great food and excellent service, thank you!
I took my family here today after my daughter's high-school graduation ceremony. I'd never been here. Wow, what a terrific pick! My family isn't that familiar with Thai food, but the owner served our table himself and guided us a bit in our selections. Everything was delicious! I recommend this place very highly. Also, the owner grows his own chili peppers and makes the sauces and condiments in house, which I find very cool. Those were also delicious. The servings are very large - good value for the price. I think all of us took leftovers home. I can't wait to come back.
Holismokingawesone !
Great food.
Great service.
Small but very clean, prices are reasonable.
I wish they had Thai ice cream.
A very pleasant surprise! A very nondescript place with excellent thai food, everything was cooked to perfection, I also cant believe how affordable this place is as well and to top it off the portions are incredibly generous. Made me feel like I am back in Asia. Service was also excellent- they checked up on me just the right number of times, they were informative and food was seriously delivered instantly. 10 stars out of 5!
This place used to be the best 5 years ago! Visited recently This is the worse place ever ! Dont waste ur money. They Changed mgmt and the staff / owner is rude!!!! Food has gone down tremendously! Nothing Thai about the food. Service is horrible! Not welcoming!!! No seasoning ! No flavor! No customer seevice!! Pushy and rude!!!
-1000. . 0/10 DO NOT recommend.
I am so happy we discovered this wonderful place! The food is absolutely delicious. I recently discovered the Green Curry. Oh my goodness! I’m craving it now! The owners make everything and make sure their dishes are authentic. If you are near Carrollton, this is a must!
Best Thai food I've had in a long time. If you're a foodie please try. They actually have great quality ingredients and food. It looked, tasted, and smelled so good and high quality. Great job guys. I hope you get all the success you deserve!
This place is soooo good, best Thai food I’ve had in a while. I’m from Kansas and just can’t find nothing like it. Literally travel down there and make this place one of our destinations EVERY time ! Also, best papaya salad I’ve ever had, better than my own homemade.
Food was fantastic. I got a spice level 3 and think I could go up to a 5, but I highly recommend the Drunken noodles with tofu. Tofu was cooked perfectly and the flavor was spot on. Got to meet the owners and chef, both were very nice. Highly recommend!!
Definitely my favorite Thai restaurant in Carrollton! Spice level goes up to 10 — perfect for fans of spicier foods (like myself)!
Soup was amazing
Tom yum soup won all the stars.. the best Thai soup I have tried so far. Overall, all the items that we had were great!
Brenton and Pookie offer the best authentic Thai food in the area. Their passion and commitment to the cuisine is evident in the made from scratch food AND condiments (especially the chilli oil). Thank you both for a delicious meal!!! 🙏
This is on of our favorite places to eat in North Dallas! The flavor of the food is always amazing and portions are awesome (what's better than Thai leftovers?). The owners are so kind and always hospitable. If you haven't been yet, you are missing out. Going to Tomyumkung means supporting a lovely small business.
We liked the food but the waiter was so rude, he made it hard to enjoy our meal. He doesn't seem to know what it is to be a good server. There is many Thai restaurant around with much better service. This type of service is really rare.
Haven't had Thai food like this since Thailand. Holy geez, this place is the real deal. We had the Duck Noodle Soup, Drunken Noodles and Kra Prow and everything was fantastic. Can't wait to return and try the whole menu. If you're looking for truly authentic Thai expecuted with excellence, this is it!
This was a repeat visit that yielded an equally satisfying meal. Garlic pepper chicken with clear noodles and a pot of chrysanthemum tea.
What a great find! Don't let the only partially full shopping center fool you, there is greatness within.
Stopped in with the family and decided to start with the Appetizer Sampler. All of the items were really good, but the chicken and Taro puffs were a standout.
Moved on to the Pad Se Iew which was very well prepared. Many places make this a sweet dish but thankfully not here. Very well balanced flavors.
Also had the Larb with chicken which was excellent.
All of the food options were great, but it was spicy! We ordered a 3 on the spice scale and it was legit. No problems getting in 8 glasses of water for me today. We spoke with the server and he let us know they grow many of the hard to find ingredients like Thai Chilies themselves and they are much spicier than the dried version. You can really tell the dedication to quality with the food. Just be careful, this is a true Thai place and not for the meek. When in doubt, go more conservative than usual.
Great service in a clean and welcoming environment. Highly Reccommended!
Summer Rolls are the bomb!
Such a nice and clean restaurant. Service and people there are lovely and the food is delicious! I went there today for lunch and glad I went there!
This place is truly a gem in Carrollton for Thai food! Located in the Frankford Village shopping plaza (Josey and Frankford).
Best thai food in the area! Portions are large enough for a meal & leftovers for another meal! Vegetables are fresh & not overcooked! Plenty of spice if you want it. When I had the flu recently the Tom Yum Soup was perfect! If you have not visited yet just give them a try. You will be back!!

This place has the best pad thai and drunken noodles in Carrollton. The owner is kind and occasionally throws in some nice deals or extra stuff. I only do to-go here.
La comida muy buena
We found an authentic Thai place that has spiciness but is Thai hot. They used real Thai peppers, so when we asked for Thai hot, it was hot enough. The pad Thai hot color didn't have any red tint, which usually means they use ketchup in their food, which is not Thai. It was a brown color which tasted like tamarind sauce. The beef salad was excellent as well with a like sauce!
Item missing from order, nether the restaurant or the platform they use to order from can fix the issue. This was after phone calls and emails.
Had the $18 duck pad thai. Duck was deep fried and tough; pad Thai bland without tofu.
Edit: The owner replied so here's my answer. I didn't complain when you asked as the food was not bad enough to complain about. Still, I'd expected something better for an $18 noodles. Tip: the tip recommendations on the bill is off-putting, starting with 20% to 50%? Although I didn't get the best meal, I gave you a more than reasonable tip.
Tomyumkung Thai Cafe offered a culinary experience marked by both highs and lows. The pineapple fried rice, unfortunately, left much to be desired, giving off the distinct impression of either being reheated or prepared with stale rice, prompting a necessary return to the kitchen. On the flip side, the spicy basil catfish emerged as a true delight, showcasing the kitchen's ability to excel in flavor and execution. The overall inconsistency in the dining experience raised questions about the reliability of the offerings; it seemed like a bit of a gamble where some dishes shone while others faltered. Despite this hit-or-miss dynamic, the positive moments, especially with the spicy basil catfish, hinted at the potential for a satisfying meal at Tomyumkung Thai Cafe.
Everything was delicious! Clean environment and speedy service.
Nice Vegetarian options!
If you enjoy Thai food, this place is for you! We've eaten many different menu items and have always thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Everything is always fresh and delicious. ALWAYS! The owners are very sweet and appreciative of their patrons and they do everything from the cooking to serving. GREAT restaurant and guess what! It's BYOB!
Highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent food and excellent service.
Awesome food
Good food, reasonable price, friendly service, long wait when busy.
Had the pineapple curry with pork. Taste and flavor were great. But the pork was a bit overcooked and dry. Gave my teeth a good workout. Overall, an OK Thai place around the area.
Good food and great service !! 🙏🙏
Food was absolutely amazing! I got the broccoli chicken and it tasted fresh clean and good.
Ordered take out. Upon walking in to pick up, noticed the atmosphere was very inviting and visually appealing. The owner was running the front of the house, and he was very friendly. We ordered the chicken pad Thai and the chicken Thai cashew, and both were excellent. The pad Thai even reheats really well, which is saying a lot coming from me (normally I hate reheated Asian food for some reason.) We can’t wait to return and try dining in next time!
The food was actually pretty good. The low stars are due to the poor customer service I received. I went in the first time just to sample a small item to see if it was good. It was so I returned a few days later to get a full meal. As I'm checking out, the cashier claims my previous charge didn't go through. I checked my account where I see a pending charge for the amount I last paid and showed him stating he must be mistaken. He claims he doesn't accept my card type and that charge will fall off. I offer to go get cash and he states it's ok don't worry about it. So for this newest charge I use another card and he claims they don't accept that one either. I see the charge pending but he claims once again it'll fall off and to give him another card. I give him my husband's card which he finally accepts and I leave. Fast forward to next day and I have a total of THREE hard charges on my cards. I would like to think that the cashier is just incompetent, but it's clear he clearly tried to take advantage of me and steal my money. He didn't provide a receipt and when I went back to advise of the duplicate charges he wouldn't let me leave with the receipt only take a pic, which might I add I had to debate with him just to be able to do that much. He then claimed it still didn't go through, but if I dispute it he'll clear it all up with my banks. My bank reached out many times and no answer. Thank goodness I bank with good companies so my money was back by end of week but horrible experience. I won't be returning just based off of the theft and scheming of my funds. If you must eat here please only do so with cash money because the cashier likes to steal.
The best Thai restaurant in DFW MAGNIFICENT!
I have no idea how this place has a high rating. Here's our experience:
I can tell this place cuts corners by skipping out key elements in authentic Thai cuisines. For example, for my first entree, I tried their Duck Curry. It tastes like curry but there's no depth, like as if it's made with some random milk and they just put a ton of grocery bought curry powder.
Curry's flavor should come from the depth of its herbs, aromatics, and their roasting/sauté process. With this place, I think this place cuts all of those corners. The Duck Curry was so dull and tasted so superficial. You dont taste any vegetable, herbs, aromatics, or duck. Not a single hint or flavor. It just tasted like some random milk with curry powder.
Next, I tried their Duck Fried Rice. It was a big mountain of rice that has barely any flavor topped with duck drumstick that's so dry. This is the first time I've seen a Thai place serve ducks fried. Moreover, the choice of meat is poor so it makes the duck extra dry and hard. This is the only place I've seen a Thai place serve dry ducks and specifically only the legs.
Lastly, Crispy Duck Thai basil, to save you time, this last entree we tried is the same exact stuff. It's like the exact same duck drumstick that they use for the Duck Fried Rice but recooked in a different sugary sauce. They just top it off with some random leaves that were inedible. Despite the name, nothing about this dish is crispy. Again, same mistake, no flavor, same poor quality protein, no presentation, and very overpriced compared to other Thai places.
Overall, this spot definitely wins two awards: The priciest and worst tasting Thai place I ever had.
Server forgot what my order was as well. Place was pretty clean.
This my favorite restaurant in Carrollton. The owners are delightful and the food is delicious. I especially love the Pad Thai, Pad Woosen, Tom Kha Noodle Soup, and Duck Noodle Soup when I'm not feeling well. The Duck Noodle Soup is a family recipe.
Looking for authentic Thai when I visit Dallas. Found this one with 4.7 rating, that means it is excellent. I ordered Pad kaprao with pork and fried egg. I went with 10/10 spice and it was perfect for me. If you are looking for authentic Thai food, this is the place for you.
I have been on a Green Curry quest to find the best Green Curry in Dallas Metro. I’ve ranged from Mansfield to McKinney and everywhere in between. TomYumKung ranks in the top 3 with no question. I got a spice level 4 on the green curry and it was perfect. Where this place really stands out to me is that the Chicken actually has its own flavor. So many experiences where the chicken is unseasoned. For the Protein in the Curry category, this places takes takes the #1 spot. Very clean, quick, nice, fair priced and excellent flavor. I will be back!
Me and my fiancé got the green curry with chicken and it’s absolutely the best! The service is really nice and they do a great job! Highly recommend to someone looking for some yummy curry!
Loved the food and the spicyness levels. When trying to figure out what spice level to order the owner told me that they grew their own Thai green chilli to use in the restaurant. Knowing this I went with a 6/10 spice and it was perfect for me. If your a spice fiend and can't find a Thai restaurant to make the food spicy enough this is the place for you.
My wife had the duck noodle soup and the broth was to die for. It had a real depth of flavour that deeped further as it cooled.
Will return, great place
Definitely more than 5 stars for food. There’s a young waiter from Thailand visiting here for the summer and getting trained, and he is good. Less than 5 starts for the other person who also served us - manager? Owner? Head waiter? Don’t know but his attitude is not good - he is a bit of a condescending and arrogant man - put that aside and you will enjoy the place otherwise. Just one other thing to note: perhaps the kitchen exhaust is not working properly… the restrooms doors are sticky from grease in the air and also your clothes may pick up a bit of the greasy smell. But seriously - the food is very good. And the young waiter from Thailand is learning English and trying hard - we encouraged him.
I love Thai food. This place is small but clean. The people were friendly and the service was quick. The food portion was great. You could eat off it for 2 days. I would definitely recommend checking this place out. The food was very flavorful.
The food is excellent here, great value. Definitely recommend if you want Thai food. I recommend the green curry - full of flavor!
One of, if not the best Thai place in Dallas. When you think of authentic Thai, this place is it. The chefs / owners (married couple) make their own spices in their own backyard and cook Thai the authentic way! If you’re looking for amazing, authentic Thai food, look no further. Oh, and it’s BYOB!
I am really disappointed with this place. We didn’t get to sit at this place ,we reached at exactly 2:10 pm and they said that we are not serving now, even though it closes at 3 pm for lunch, but he said we can take carry out. Which restaurant closes the serving at 2:10 ? We also told them that we have some guest from North Carolina and we wanted to try this place , but no they didn’t let us. Also there was only one family of 4 was sitting in the whole restaurant. Please save you time and go some where else for Thai. I heard the food is good but I don’t know how it is . So This place was not
Worth my time . . This is my personal experience..
Discovered this restaurant about 2 months ago and can't stop thinking about it. Been returning about 1x per week and trying different things on the menu. Everything we have tried has been absolutely amazing.
In love with the curry and crispy duck.
We've dined in and ordered takeout. Food, service, atmosphere all 11/10.
Low quality meat. Not a ton of flavor in anything we ate. Just not very good Thai food, unfortunately
Excellent food, people are exceptional
I decided to give this place a try. I got takeout drunken noodles and pad thai. Both were great! I got level 1 spice on the drunken noodles and it was noticeable but not overpowering. The food had great depth of flavor. The food was prepped and ready to go when I walked in, and the restaurant is really nice and cozy inside. I'd love to dine in sometime.
Got the drunken noodles with shrimp. Sooo flavorful! Definitely will be back. Thank you for the great food.
The best authentic Thai restaurant, and a very friendly environment to spend time with family.
Wow, a diamond in the rough. Fantastic food, with authentic Thai flavor. A cut above other nearby options. Wish I lived here, I'd eat here all the time!
If a week goes by that I don't enjoy this exquisite cuisine, it is a week left wanting. I love to bring friends and family to share in this savory experience. Pineapple curry with duck is my go to white my gf loves the coconut curry the best. It just occurred to me that we could Pina colada that curry. Yummy
Good food a little on the pricey side though.
Me and my family went to this restaurant for lunch on the weekday around 1pm. The foods is ok so, I will said, 6 out of 10 because it wasn’t Thai Thai…!! specially most of stir-fried dishes wasn’t taste like Thai foods to me but the noodles was taste ok.! The reason that I only give out 2 star ⭐️ for this restaurant because this restaurant was charging % of debits and credit cards service to the customers so, for me… it’s not right because the prices that show on the menu should be included for those cards services fee and it was restaurant responsible not the customers. I am own the restaurant too so, that will be restaurant responsible not customers.!!!
The food was delicious. Visited a couple times and I encouraged my friends to try this new place.
But when my friends showed me the receipt of “Non-Cash charge” below the food & taxes charges…. My friends & I will not come back to this place again. I can go to other places who are willing to take my credit card and won’t charge me for this fee. This place doesn’t have servers but we still tip them. I don’t know what’s the point charge us for this?!
Food is fresh and tasty. They use a higher quality of meat than other local Thai restaurants, it is not dry and tough. The best!
This is the place if you want to go for authentic Thai food. Drunken noodles were delicious but be careful when you choose spicy level, Thai hot is very spicy.
I ordered drunken noodles, they are super good and my son ordered the soup NS2, the broth are so delicious. Highly recommend Thai food at this place. The server are very friendly and great customer services. Will be back again soon.
Great Pad Thai!
Go for the food. BTW. 4 is like a 6
This used to be my favorite Thai place, taste was authentic & spice was on point.
However, during my last time there, the flavors had changed; so much that we stopped going for a long time.
Wanted to give them a second chance so we came today at 225pm. 35 min before closing. Unfortunately we couldn't get served because the last 30 min is togo only.
Restaurants are usually 30 minutes last call, I get it. But we had 5 minutes to spare and could've been out by 3 unless the kitchen is super slow.
Tried giving it a second chance, probably won't be back.
Very authentic! Best in Dallas.
Pleasantly surprised, very unassuming gem.
My husband and I had the best time here! We ordered the duck pad thai, soft shell crab fried rice, and shrimp tom yum soup. The owners were the sweetest husband and wife team. If you want authentic Thai food, this is the place for you. We will be back again soon!
I feel awful leaving this review but I feel even more bad for wasting 40 dollars. As someone who grew up with good Thai food and has been to Thailand, the food here is not what I expected. I didn't enjoy the larb, it was super overcooked and dry. Their rice was stuck together and mushy. Really nice people, just not what I want in Thai food.
Delicious small neighborhood establishment. Thai food flavors are terrific. Have only had takeout but has always been timely and flavorful. What's not to love?
Best Thai food ever. I ordered drunken noodles. it's so delicious fresh meal. It's so hard to get fresh food in restaurants, only reheat food. If you're in the Carrollton area, you should try.
Came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. We got the chicken pad thai and the duck basil stir fry. Both were flavorful, but I'd say pretty standard for Thai food. I did enjoy the duck more since it was crispy and not as many Thai places offer this in DFW. Our server was very nice and answered our questions for recs and spice level (1-8). We got a 4 and 5, and they were relatively doable for people who normally eat spice. I would come back and try something more unique, instead of a staple pad thai. I think the pad thai was a little bit too saucy for my taste.
This place is a nice little restaurant run by the owners. Great service but the food was very flavorful and authentic. We had the green curry with chicken, pad Thai (not the orange one real pad Thai) basil pork and garlic chicken. All had they own unique flavors. Generous portion and fresh ingredients. We drove about 20 miles based on reviews and no disappointment. Definitely returning as a family and with friends.
Everything here is so tasty and the interior is much cuter than what you’d expect from the outside. Definitely my favorite Thai food in the area!
My first time going and the cashier was extremely knowledgable and helpful.
I needed something to clear my sinuses and this place hits the spot!
The food is cooked and seasoned to perfection
I will be going back!
We LOVE this place! We are plant-based so we order everything with tofu, and the owners are so good about making sure everything is just right for us. We've also brought family here that eat meat, and they were all very impressed with the chicken and beef options they got as well. Highly recommend!
Best Thai food we’ve had in town! They even grow their own chilies
We are new to the Dallas area and were looking for a pad thai place to try and saw that this one was near us and had really good reviews so we decided to stop by.
The service was amazing. Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu and about the ingredients used.
This is the best pad thai place we have had. We got a level 5 which was way too spicy for us but we could not stop eating it. Their thai tea was the perfect drink to cool of our tongues.
We will be coming back!
The drunken noodles (pad kee mao) were really good!! The service was fast and my waiter (I forgot his name lol) was very kind. I also got a big portion so it lasted me for lunch and dinner. Will definitely come back 😊
First off this is the best Thai food I’ve had in Dallas everything is nice and made from scratch
Brenton and Pookie were very attentive and welcoming. The food here was amazing compared to any other Thai food I had if you like spicy food or not you should definitely come here! Loved the quantity of food they gave and the quality was even better thank you guys.
Delicious food and great service. The people who work there are so kind and attentive. I think I found my new favorite restaurant in Carrollton.
Delicious food. Highly recommend!
Excellent flavor. Everything we ordered was good and very large portions. Loved the Thai Ice tea.
Great portions, food was delicious, staff friendly, restrooms are clean
Went today with my family, got the yellow curry! This restaurant I could tell is authentic, Brenton and his wife are very friendly and hospitable!
Really great food, the server was incredibly friendly and kind to our toddler. Highly recommend
I’m currently on the hunt for authentic Thai restaurants in Dallas and saw this restaurant pop up when we were in Carrolton. They have solid high ratings and the menu looks good so we stopped by. It was a rainy Monday night and spicy Thai food sounds delicious.
The server was great, I think his name is Brenton? He was asking questions and engaging in conversation, and it seems like he really love the restaurant. He gave suggestions from each category on the menu, and there were dishes that I’d never seen before from other restaurants. I saw a photo of their deep-fried pork belly, so I started with that. My boyfriend ordered Kra Pow Kai Dao (chicken) and I got the Tom Yum Noodle Soup.
The fried pork belly was crunchy and well-seasoned, but my favorite is the tomato dipping sauce that came with it. It was light, not too strong on the tomato flavor, and perfect to dip your pork belly in. I’m usually not a fan of tomato-based things but that sauce was perfect! It didn’t take long for our main dishes to come out, around 10-15 mins. The kra pow kai dao was exactly how my boyfriend pictured it, it was a simple stir-fried dish with good flavors, and it came with a big bowl of rice. My tom yum noodle soup looks good, but it was strong in fish sauce. It tasted salty, but it was my first time trying it so I’m not sure what to expect. I didn’t like the broth, but the egg noodles and toppings aren’t too bad. I probably wouldn’t get the dish next time.
Overall, the service was top notch and the dishes are pretty tasty. Although I didn’t like my dish, I would come back just for the fried pork belly and tomato dipping sauce itself. Maybe I’m not used to the fishy broth of tom yum soup, so I’ll probably stick to my basic order of pad thai or pad kee mao. Their spice level could definitely use a little more kick, but every Thai place is different. I got a 3 (supposed to be medium) but it wasn’t spicy at all.
Great Thai Food and Very Good Service 👍
First time eating here and great experience overall! The owner was very kind and food was great!
Did not answer my calls. Did not accept my reservations. Would not serve my party of 9. Even asked if we could split up groups, would not accept us. We were really excited too. BUMMER.
Walked in and they kicked us right out because we had 9 people. Their excuse was we didn’t call 24 hours ahead and they only had one chef so they wouldn’t serve us. Worst service I’ve ever seen. I understand having one chef makes it difficult but kicking us out so rudely was not it. Don’t recommend at all.
Hands down one of the best restaurants in the Dallas Area! If you like good food, you have to come try this place.
I took my parents and in-laws when they came to visit, they loved it as much as we do.
Favorite dishes: Tom Kha Soup *( One of the best Tom Kha I've ever had), Spicy Beef Salad, Pad Sew Ew Noodles, Yellow Curry Fried Rice, Spicy Basil Catfish, and there's another dish on under the Chef Special with Fried Tilapia but I cannot remember the name.
Excellent food and service. Green Curry is must try which is our favorite here. Food freshly made with high quality ingredients.
The food was amazing! I forgot to take any photos because I was too busy eating! We ordered a couple appetizers and shared the Duck Pad Thai. The duck was nice and crispy!
The service and food are amazing!!
First time here, decided to try it out since we shop at Carrollton Plaza.
Ordered N.1 Pad Thai with chicken, N.5 Pad woonsen with tofu, and SL.6 Spicy beef salad, and a Thai Tea.
Spicyness level 3. Definitely has a kick btw, afraid what 8 would taste like. 😂
All the dishes were delicious across the board, really like the dressing for the salad, no water added - IYKYK!
Even the cup of vegetable soup was deep with flavor.
Really appreciate the the portion sizes. We thought 3 dishes were good for two people, but honestly it can feed 4.
Only slight disappointment was there was not a lunch menu section as seen from the reviews/pictures.
Other than that, nice little restaurant, and ambiance. Prompt, and friendly staff, will definitely return with more people to try more dishes!
Good food but poor service.
We came here because of the great reviews and it lived up to the hype. Excellent food.
One of the best Thai places in town!!! Great service and all our food tasted fresh. If you dine in and are sharing food with a non-spice lover, ask for the chili tray so you can add more spice to your dish. Remember: you can control the heat going in, but not going out. You gotta try this place!
Best red curry in town lots of bang for your buck
A family run restaurant with excellent food and service. Many choices to meet whatever you are craving. Great value and good portion sizes. Have been many times and will go many more.
For to go order, I got Tomyum soup - no flavor. Can only smell and taste herbs. No sweet or tangy flavor. Pad see ew - noodles were all chopped in pieces. Couldnt enjoy flat noodle texture much. I checked the rating to order here but my experience was not at all like others. Disappointed.
Amazing food and very friendly survive. I am very happy be found this place. Give it a try
