Traditional Thai & fusion dishes are served at this popular, modern bistro.
Been here for dinner, was a busy night. The waitress kept asking if we were ready to order even before we could go through the menu. The service was quick but no empathy. It was a busy night so we didn’t fuss much, but the waitress was just waiting to be done for the night. Food is good. Has vegetarian options too.
Great spot. They are super dialed in here as a business. You cannot be seated until your entire party is present. They get packed right at 6pm for dinner. The menu has an awesome array of Thai dishes. The service is very quick and efficient. The food was awesome. Definitely a must while in Austin!
We went here during an early lunch to celebrate a coworkers birthday! 11 am and the place was practically empty but it filled in soon after. The service was fast during this time and the food was SO DELICIOUS. All four of us ordered something different and we each absolutely LOVED the flavor of our meals. The amount of the entire dishes was plentiful and the protein amount was very plentiful as well.... pleasantly surprised with this! This was my first time here, but I'll definitely be back or ordering delivery. I had the N10 aka Pad Soon Sen with chicken and shrimp 😋The other pictured dishes were F2 and pineapple fried rice.
They have really good Thai food - many of the known dishes (pad thai, green curry etc) but also some really good unique dishes
We had taro corn fritters that were very good
An excellent starter - crispy, flavorful and enough for the table
We loved the entrees too - the basil eggplant was new to us but it was a great choice
We wrapped up with fried banana rolls for dessert which were the right amount of crispy and sweet
They do get busy but are very efficient and were able to seat 5 of us on a Sat evening within 15 minutes
Great place for Thai food, we got the house salad, spinach dumplings and the vegetarian PD Thai and the black rice pudding for dessert, the spinach dumpling was not as great as I hoped and this the 4 stars, but everything else was good, the place is big and is very busy on a weekend evening, waiters are nice and attentive, we will come back for sure.
Titaya's is a great Thai restaurant. We tried the spinach wontons, which tasted decent, and the taro chips, which were nice. The chicken basil fried rice was very good, and the red curry was tasty. The place was very crowded, but overall, it's a good spot for fresh Thai food.
Absolutely unacceptable experience. The food was passable, but the service was shockingly bad. To make it worse, they added a 20% gratuity without notifying us and refused to explain why. Feels like a scam. Avoid this place!
Excellent Thai cuisine
Titaya's is one of the first Thai places I came to after moving (back) to Austin, and it was good. I was spoiled by the Asian food in the Bay Area, and none of the Thai places Ive been to is up to that standard, but theres a few that are perfectly good. The service is good and everything here has been very good. There is a lot of parking available in the big lot in front of Half Price Books if their lot is full.
Titayas Thai Cuisine offers a mixed experience. The Pad Woon Sen, while flavorful, suffered from overcooked shrimp. This is a frequent issue with takeout noodles, as the shrimp continues to cook in the container's steam. On a positive note, the eggplant dish was quite good, showcasing the kitchen's skill with vegetable preparations.
The dining experience itself was somewhat marred by the restaurant's rigid system. Numerous computer-printed signs with almost overly-strict instructions created an unwelcoming atmosphere. More frustrating was the process for picking up my to-go order. Despite my visible handicap, I was directed across the restaurant to a separate counter, a task that could have easily been handled by the server. A little more consideration and flexibility would have gone a long way.
While the food had its moments, the overcooked shrimp and inflexible service detract from the overall experience. Titayas Thai Cuisine has potential, particularly with its eggplant dishes, but needs to address the issues with takeout preparation and improve customer service to earn a higher rating. Three stars seems a fair reflection of our visit.
I haven't found better thai food in Austin. The quality is consistently excellent. The service is prompt, and the portions are generous. Solid menu.
Delicious! All was top shelf!
Zero stars for service. We were six friends celebrating two birthdays and the waiter didn’t care to make our experience any special, to start didn’t smile nor greet us at all. We were only there a few minutes hoping to dine but his attitude and the unreasonable rules (apparently 6 friends can’t share tea nor appetizers to start even when we all were about to order different entrees.) He said that is the restaurant’s rules and didn’t want to make any exception, didn’t care if we were about to leave, never offered any option for us to stay. Almost as if he just wanted us to leave. So we left.
Very good service and excellent food especially Pad Thai. One of the best Thai restaurants in Austin. Highly Recommend.
Always bustling! Super fast take out. The most reliably good Thai I have found in ATX
Disappointing Experience at Titaya's
My recent dining experience at Titaya's Thai Cuisine was incredibly frustrating. We ordered several dishes, specifically requesting one to be made spicy and another mild. However, the kitchen completely mixed up the orders, serving the spicy dish to those who requested mild and vice versa.
When we brought this to the attention of the staff, they were unapologetic and offered no compensation for the error. To add insult to injury, they do not accept American Express, which caused unnecessary inconvenience.
Due to the poor service and the lack of any attempt to rectify the situation, I would strongly advise seeking alternative Thai dining options.
Titaya has the best Thai food that I've eaten here in Austin, Texas. It's consistently delicious! The customer service is excellent, and everyone is always very friendly.
Enjoyed the food and all aspects of the service.
Been here for dinner, was a busy night. The waitress kept asking if we were ready to order even before we could go through the menu. The service was quick but no empathy. It was a busy night so we didn’t fuss much, but the waitress was just waiting to be done for the night. Food is good. Has vegetarian options too.
Delicious Thai dishes. Not your usual processed ingredients thrown together. Super friendly and sweet service staff.
1 star is too much…
Service the worst in a whole world 👌
Never again, disgusting 🤮
We came to lunch, the waitress was rude from the very beginning and constantly pretended that she did not understand us , we did not receive smiles from anyone , just a dry order , we did not pay attention and just began to eat our food (by the way, the soup tasted like dish soap) After that, I paid the bill and decided that because of the unpleasant service I would not leave a tip, but the moment we started to leave, the girl returned shouting that she had not been tipped and with the words that we should leave a tip pointed to the receipt. After that, I said that by law I was not obliged to leave a tip and besides, I did not like the service, after that the girl began to yell at me and my husband, with a small child: " What do you not like me, you should leave me a tip, you did not like me, you generally you know that in America, everyone should leave a tip, and if you don't have money to leave a tip, then you should be ashamed to go to cafes ."I specifically said , " And if I just don't have the money to pay you for tea, but I just wanted to take my family to a restaurant, " to which I received the answer indicated above (of course, the money for tea was on the card, but because of the rude service, I just didn't want to leave it, but when they started yelling at me in front of everyone for this, I was even more not going to do it." The food wasn't bad, but the service is such that I've never been in this place again, so they didn't even yell at me at home because of bad grades. And judging by the comments, I'm not the only one who's faced this.
For the first time in my life, a waitress yelled at me for not leaving a tip, but the service was terrible, I was greeted without a smile and walked out shouting that I should leave a tip, what??? 1 star is too much !!!!
Service -1000*
Never again…
My family chose this place based on all the positive Google reviews, but I regret ignoring the negative ones. First off, their "pinnable fried rice" isn't rice at all—it's nothing like the Thai fried rice I've had at every other Thai restaurant. Thai is our families fav cuisine and we have been to so many thai restaurants. It's definitely not what we expected. THIS IS NOT HOW FRIED RICE IS MADE. The drunken noodles were decent, though not the best I've had, but still better than the rice. The service was awful. It's laughable that they suggest a 20% tip when the service was so poor that it wasn’t even 20%. The staff seemed uninterested, no greetings or friendly interaction. When we asked for extra cucumber slices for our 6-month-old baby, they want to charge us extra! Really? A cucumber slice? Don't be fooled by the good reviews here, save your money and find a better place. Trust me, you'll regret it if you don't.
I’ve been here a lot of times for the past 8 years but something changed today. Probably the worst service at a restaurant I’ve ever had in Austin. The server had a problem with us since the minute we sat down for absolutely no reason. He was rude, disinterested, wouldn’t clearly answer questions about the menu. When we got us the order, one of it was wrong and he wouldn’t accept it until we had to be stern and send it away. He didn’t offer to ask us what we wanted instead or offer to fix the issue. Just straight up walked away without batting an eye. One of us basically skipped eating instead of dealing with his attitude. Having just now read other reviews I can see a pattern about the staffs rudeness towards certain folks. Never going back again.
Great thai restaurant with a lot of vegetarian options as well. We tried chicken pad thai, spinach dumplings, basil fried rice and tofu fried rice all of which were delicious especially the pad thai. The staff were nice and friendly.Parking is not a problem either. Totally recommend.
The waiter who served us forgot to put down one of my orders. After we were almost done with our meals, I went to ask the waiter if the order was ready. He sounded like I didn't order and it was my fault.
Excellent food, it's one of my favorite restaurants. The last time, I was surprised to see on the bill that we were charged for the pepper flakes and a sauce we usually order, but this time they made a charge for it. A bit disappointed by this new restaurant policy.
Nice place to eat.
Great crew !!
I really don't know how people feel when choosing a restaurant to eat with family and friends. As for me, the food only accounts for 30 percent of the reason I choose to eat at a restaurant instead of eating at home. The remaining 70 percent is because I want to experience the service and atmosphere there brings to me. However, I did not receive that, the food there I do not rate because I am not a picky eater. But they have very strange rules that I have never experienced in other restaurants. They require everyone to arrive at the appointed number of people before they will sit at the table, no one can be missing for any reason, and no one can be late, even if someone arrived first and the other 2 people arrived later, but we were willing to order in advance to wait, but they still did not accept. then to make matters worse it was my friend's birthday we brought a cake to celebrate and asked them to give us small plates (we ordered their dessert next to it) they didn't give us any because they don't allow outside food. is that a bit too strict? because not every day is a birthday right? but our waitress was very nice, very kind. i don't blame her because she did her best. but we will never come back here, i know my review won't affect you guys, but hopefully the rest of you will have a better experience than us if possible
Food it’s ok but I don’t like store policy
Enjoyed fish
Food is very good, worth the hype.
The food was okayish.. The service was the worst. We went for lunch and the waiter was rude and seemed disinterested in doing his work. I am a vegetarian and one my friend is not. We both ordered soups - one with tofu other with chicken. He mixed up our order, and tasted the chicken soup before realizing it is not vegetarian.
This goes against my religious beliefs and I cannot let it go. We decided not to tip. After the check, the waiter decided to call us out in front of everyone asking why didn't we tip. I told him because of the mix up, and he says he didn't do it. There is one thing to do a mistake, but to lie for sake of a tip is deplorable.
Giving a tip is optional based on the service we are provided. If the service is not good, I will refuse to tip. Poorly trained and entitled staff.
They have really good Thai food - many of the known dishes (pad thai, green curry etc) but also some really good unique dishes
We had taro corn fritters that were very good
An excellent starter - crispy, flavorful and enough for the table

Five-star food. Authentic, well-cooked Thai cuisine.
Zero-star service. I've been here many times, so trust me on this: if you're having a party, it's probably fine. But if you're just looking for good food, the best practice to enjoy Titaya's is to order for pick-up.
Here's what to expect from the service:
- A 10-15 minute wait after being seated before you can order.
- Another 10 minutes for water and beverages, and 20 minutes for the food to arrive.
- Waitstaff are responsible for their own tables, which is understandable, but some of them will completely ignore you—no smile, cold expressions—even if you're waving for service.
Photos to prove we've actually dined in here.
Excellent Thai cuisine.
Some of the Best Thai food in Austin hands down.
We went to Titaya’s Thai. Very busy place and mick the waiter was such a delight. Always serving his customers and with a smile. We got the corn taro fritters (looked like French fries with a sweet coating ) crunchy. Very good. We orders basil fried rice and it was made spicy (can’t figure out why they can not mild it up a little ). The fried rice was great but spicy. A little less heat would have pushed it to amazing. the red curry was very tasty.
God I love this place. All the food is amazing and my server even took my leftovers to the kitchen and packed them up for me.
Want to try some interesting Thai food? Try Titaya’s Thai Cuisine!
Their Taro Fritters are different and yum! Their Golden Tofu with Sauce is just delicious, it’s one of their signature dishes and you’ll love the taste.
Their Pad Kee Mao with Tofu is light and delicious and that’s just nice!
Do try and enjoy the taste.
Yes.
Great food at a reasonable price! Boss took us there for lunch and I had no idea what to order so I tried the Pad See Eiw noodles with chicken. I can't wait to try all the other dishes offered. Their take out is fast too. Our office is just a few mins away in Mueller and we can order while walking out the door and it's ready when we get there to pick it up.
Best Thai found I’ve found in Austin
Always a good choice for thai
I don’t give bad reviews often but I had to tonight - the service was pretty bad. Rude waiter, rude hostess, and the pad Thai was one of the worst I’ve had. They started rushing us out after only being there for 30 minutes too. I will not be coming back and I can’t recommend this place anymore either. I don’t know what happened because they used to be great.
Food delicious the environment is good. The chefs definitely did an amazing job. The waitresses were very polite
Good food but not much of the atmosphere. Service could have been better, but it was a busy time for them
Good Pad Thai. Will try other dishes in the future. Will be going back.
This is my favorite Thai food in Austin always solid
Got in ate right away very 3/4 dimensional flavors meaning you are tasting more than one thing beautiful favors -Had to savor the dishes. Thai tea was rich 🤤 delicious. Amazing food.
We had been to this place many times but today was Worst service. I regret going there for my husband’s bday dinner. Will never go back! Unfriendly staff, average food, worst dining experience!
Great spot. They are super dialed in here as a business. You cannot be seated until your entire party is present. They get packed right at 6pm for dinner. The menu has an awesome array of Thai dishes. The service is very quick and efficient. The food was awesome. Definitely a must while in Austin!
Been coming to Titaya's for years now, and the food and service is always consistent.
We recently went before closing (they were still full!) and were sat quickly.
There are a lot of tables, and waiting for a table ever takes more than 10 minutes. Lots of traditional Thai portraits and artwork all around.
DRINKS
They have alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Highly recommend the Vietnamese iced coffee. Brewed at your table, and it's nice and strong
Vietnamese iced coffee-5/5
Thai iced tea-5/5
FOOD
Sweet taro fritters-5/5
Warm, sweet, crispy bites of fried taros the sauce on this is really good
Satay Gai-5/5
Chicken satay served with peanut sauce and a cucumber vinegar. Simple appetizer with lots of flavor
Pad kee mao-5/5
spicyyy but so so good!
Kua Guai-5/5
Light sauce with noodles, bean sprouts and other veggies and your choice of protein. Recommend this if you don't want a spicy noodle dish
If you're in North Austin and need a good spot that closes at 10pm, then recommend coming here for lunch or dinner.
This is the best Thai we've found in Austin. All of the food tastes great and it's still relatively cheap.
Over 6 years of going here and they're still super consistent.
I don’t understand the hype about this place. One of the worst Thai restaurants I’ve been to. I ordered a simple pad Thai dish and it was just muddled and nothing looked fresh. Thai food is usually fresh and zesty. This was NOT good. And for those prices - NO THanks!! I won’t be going back.
Got stomach ache after having dinner here
Online order was hot and ready for pickup when they said.
Our waitress told us she would charge for lime slices! Who does that?
I have tried a lot of different Thai restaurants. This is top 2 easily. Especially the Cang Massuman curry. I could eat that everyday. One of the best thai food establishments around! I would highly recommend checking it out!
Great food great experience
Fav place for some comfort food with nice service!
Accommodating for kids too!
Sitting here at Titaya’s Thai Cuisine, eating my AMAZINGLY flavored Pad See Ew and Pad Prik King, surrounded by attractive ambiance, experiencing wonderful customer service, and realizing I never have to settle for the subpar food, customer service or limp vegetables at a certain Round Rock Thai restaurant on Gattis School Road, (with Spoon in the name)ever again. YAY!
Open atmosphere yet still private dining. Oh and SO good dining. We were about to go to another restaurant when someone overheard us talking and asked "Thai food dining, definitely recommend Titaya's if you can't go to my Thai restaurant" :-0
Hmmmm?
So we did try it and all 4 of us were very satisfied. The N2 was amazing (wished I hadn't shared) 👍👍👍👍👍
We wanted to order more food. The waiter gave us the cheque and left. We tried to ask if we can order more food, he didn't care to listen and was rude to us.. food was good but the service was very bad. If I could give 0 star for service I would.
SO GOOD! The service is great and online ordering has been 100% correct every time I have ordered.
I recently visited Tithaya Thai during Austin trip and was thoroughly impressed with the authentic Thai flavors! The dishes had a wonderful spicy kick that perfectly matched my preference for Indian flavors. Every bite was bursting with taste and authenticity.
The ambiance was pleasant, and the service was prompt and friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience. For anyone looking for a true taste of Thai cuisine with a spicy twist, I highly recommend Tithaya Thai. I will definitely be coming back for more!
Titaya's is a great Thai restaurant. We tried the spinach wontons, which tasted decent, and the taro chips, which were nice. The chicken basil fried rice was very good, and the red curry was tasty. The place was very crowded, but overall, it's a good spot for fresh Thai food.
So fresh and delicious! My favorite so far is the Y1 - salmon, tomatoes, grapes, tomatillos, and cilantro in a chili, lime, palm sugar vinaigrette. I also tried my husband's wings and Tom Yum soup which was also extremely flavorful. If you like spicy foods, they're able to deliver (mine was mild which is all I can handle).
This will be our go-to place for Thai now! We went on a Wed and even then it was pretty busy, but we were able to sit at the bar right away.
Lots of parking, too.
The best coconut chicken/shrimp soup I’ve ever had. The Satay Gai (chicken skewers) are also great. They are served with a peanut sauce and cucumber sauce. Both are awesome.
I've moved this to my top Asian food in town! They have many dishes that others do not have. Must-try the fish!
Taro fritters and fried fish with tamarind are good. Massaman curry was too sweet imo and chicken leg noodles weren't that flavorful
Titaya's Thai Cuisine is a culinary treasure! The authentic, bold flavors and beautifully presented dishes make every meal unforgettable. The Pad See Ew is a standout, and the Green Curry is perfectly balanced and delicious. The cozy atmosphere and attentive service add to the delightful experience. Whether you're a Thai food lover or a first-timer, Titaya's is sure to impress. A must-visit spot for exceptional Thai cuisine!
Wow! This was one of the best meals I’ve had in Austin. So many vegan options and everything was delicious! I will be back. Thank you
Stopped here for lunch. They only seat complete parties, so we were sat in a waiting area until the rest of our group arrived (8 people total).
I got the Pad Basil Eggplant, which was very good. The eggplant was delicious and tender. Would recommend!
Service was excellent and the food came out quick. The food was very reasonably priced for the amount given. Unfortunately, they don't split checks.
The interior atmosphere is chill. They have picture frames on the ceiling, which I thought was really neat. I also liked the muay thai statues around the restaurant.
Overall, would recommend.
I’m always part of the clean plate club when I eat here. Took my parents here as well and they absolutely loved it. Spice levels are also tolerant.
Food was good but service was terrible. After we got seated, waiter came up to us after much time had passed. When we received the food, it was cold. We were never checked on to see if we wanted anything else, I had to stand up go to the front and place an order for an extra side- multiple times, or I had to physically call him over. When it came time to tip the waiter asked us why we didn’t tip him x amount. I would have happily paid if I felt like we got taken cared for but confronting after not even checking up made me a bit upset. Food was delicious though, highly recommend the Pad Thai and curry!
went here on a sunday evening. we got tom kha, fried chicken wings, and pad thai.
tom kha was pretty decent, had very a overpowering coconut milk taste, but i think it’s just how it’s supposed to taste.
my family disliked the fried chicken wings very much. they boiled the chicken wings before frying, so the meat was very soft instead of being a little slightly chewy. also they were burned, like they’re very overcooked. portion wise also not great.
pad thai was ok. the noodles were stuck together though, so not a super enjoyable texture.
also all of the shrimps in our foods were kinda fishy.
waiter was fine, but he was very rushed but maybe it’s just how the service works there. no complaints on that tbh.
overall, i wouldn’t come back. it’s not a bad place to get thai food, but personally there are better places here in austin.
Won't allow modifications of any kind.
We drove all the way from Waco!
Simple appearance from the outset, Titaya's Thai Cuisine restaurant offers one of the best Thai meals around Texas. We straight away ask if "mango sticky rice" is available. And, it is! Then, we ordered our favorites: pad thai, pad see eiw, with chili flakes (75c) so that we can spit fire after meal! 😁 Tom Yum was also great. Thai iced tea -- fantastic!! thirst quencher during summer!!
Our server is very friendly, responsive, and quick. We definitely return for the 3rd time and on ...
Best Thai in town by far, reasonable price, a must try!
Food was ok but they charged us extra for chili flakes and fish sauce - both normal condiments in Thai food and not a big expense for the restaurant. Absolute rip off.
Pathetic service. And the server was very rude. Understaffed and bad service
Rude staff, incompetent manager (server said he was manager) that encourages racial abuse.
Never encountered such a rude behavior at a restaurant.
We went here during an early lunch to celebrate a coworkers birthday! 11 am and the place was practically empty but it filled in soon after. The service was fast during this time and the food was SO DELICIOUS. All four of us ordered something different and we each absolutely LOVED the flavor of our meals. good food at a good price. service is super quick and efficient
Service folks are very rude. Giving one star for their service.
I think this might be the best Thai restaurant in Austin! We are glad we found you now!
I have been coming to Titayas for over 4 years and I love the Pad Thai and T4 plate. The service is generally good and the food is great.
Tonight, I was standing in line to be seated behind one couple. Then another man walked in with a friend standing behind me.
The man seating the restaurant looked over me and asked the man standing behind me how many people. I interrupted and said, “I was here first and have two people.” The group behind me was also a group of two. He spoke over me again to the man and said I’ll seat you. I spoke up again and said I was here first and the person I was with was standing outside the door. The man still took the other people behind me and sat them. I felt this was completely rude and disrespectful considering I spoke up twice.
Great Thai food made and served by Thais. The food is just like I had in Thailand when stationed there.
The food was good, we ordered Basil Fried Rice and called for an extra level of spice, which btw is an extra 0.50 cents just to add extra powder. When we called for the check, the server mandated us to give higher tip, waited until I put it down.
Poor service. Went in for lunch and was added 20% tip without any notification. No communication for service throughout lunch. The food is pretty oily, not sure if it’s authentic but the Tom yum soup was fairly good.
Great food but terrible staff- our server followed us out the door and harassed us for a higher tip.
Such a great place and very authentic as well. Nice staff and service and a great variety of Thai dishes. Loved it all.
Simply delicious, great service and overall experience. Comfortable casual atmosphere to share a meal with friends and family.
Absolutely delicious food, very good for a first date night. just know ahead of time that they don't have substitutions and they don't split checks so bring cash if you're in a group
Up there as one of my favorite Thai restaurants. Friendly service and accommodating of dietary restrictions without sacrificing authentic tastes.
Reliably fantastic, always authentic Thai food!
Yum. Mango sticky rice is in season.
Hi I went there many times and many years because food is delicious, but just went last week, something is not right.
I ordered moo ping and wing are yummy.
Tom yum is not the same, it is too light taste.
Pad Cha Pla is good taste, but fish is smelly like not fresh,
Just to let you know for make it better. Thank you
Pad Thai and mango sticky rice was excellent.
Best Thai cuisine in Austin for sure.
Absolutely Incredible, the best pineapple fried rice I ever had and they do NOT skimp on Chicken
This restaurant serves very good food however, it’s very crowded so the Customer Service is bad they rarely to come and check on you. I have to wave my hands to ask for a folk several times.
My son bought food tonight dinner and found a nail in the food.
Best Thai in Austin. Will visit regularly!!
Very good Thai food!!!
Food was pretty good. Especially the pad woon sen I would definitely go back to try it again. However the lard nah was weird and was more like a soup. Not really supposed to be like an actual soup also did not provide the usual condiments (chili vinegar and chili flakes)
We also got the duck noodle soup. Was ok to me, but the duck was really tender and just fell of the bone. Also the name prik noon and sai auo was also decent.
Saw a lot of reviews about the bad service but I guess we got lucky because our server gave us normal service. Attentive and friendly.
Always great food and service! Love the curries and pad thai.
Crab meat fried rice and Tom yum soup are amazingly good. I had a hard time finding good Tom yum soup since the first time I ever had it in New York and this tops it. I crave it allll the time I need to try more stuff now oh and their Vietnamese coffee is delicious too
be aware , staff is very rude even after charging gratuity they expect you to pay good tip if you dont they will come and argue
Delicious food
They automatically add a 20% gratuity "fee"
This place is hands down the best Thai food in Austin. Ive been to many places in the area and the majority are acceptable, but this one absolutely has the best flavor and quality.
Came here with a big group and was able to order alot of dishes which we shared. All of the dishes were excellent and tasted authentic. Great friendly service. I would return to eat here again.
