This was my first time trying a Thai restaurant and I absolutely love it. Beginning with the shere craftsmanship of the place. Very elegant and classy. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was stupendous. We were in a staff dinner for Pedal Pro Bicycles and I noticed the waitress had a bicycle on her shirt so I ask if she wanted to take a picture with us. She was so cool about it . The entire staff there was very friendly so I truly recommend this place I enjoyed my experience here and can't wait to go back. 🌀

We drive by here all the time and finally went in to try it! The indoor seating area was a little stuffy, but they have a very nice outdoor patio area that was pleasant to be in.

The service was good and very friendly! The food was also very good, my only complaint would be that the portions were kind of small for the price. It was definitely enough for a meal and I was full, I'm just used to having leftovers and we didn't have any here.

The appetizers were all very good, but my favorite was the spring roll.

Just ordered this tofu pad thai, only ate the tofu… the noodles looked and tasted like they were 3 days old. Absolutely disgusting. Very disappointed. $53 for a meal (2 people) and you get something that's barely worth $4. Service was good but the food is terrible and I wish I could get a refund. Don't recommend this to anyone.

Great Thai food. They are a little short staffed but over all service and price point is great. The decor is a little dated if you don't mind the minor details I would recommend this place for lunch or Dinner. Oh and FYI if your not used to spices don't order above 3 😁

The food and service were phenomenal. As appetizer I had the sweet potatoes and carrots fritters. The rice chicken soup was really good. The duck in a coconut milk curry sauce was delicious. Enjoy!

I search for good pad thai everywhere, and this place is actually one of the few that has it. Come here and try it - October 2024

Went in at 9:30 and was told we could only do take out but no sushi, no seaweed salad etc. so we ordered curry and let me tell you so bland no flavor and boxed pre frozen spring rolls. Super small portions. Just terrible. Used to be one of Tampas best but now just garbage. No to mention they are just rude.

The duck was delicious, service on point, and super relaxing environment.

Like other reviews say, food is fine but portions are tiny. They also charged us more than what’s listed on the menu they gave us at our seats. When I mentioned it she brought a different menu with higher prices on it. We won’t return.

I’m sorry the raving reviews here have to be bought. The food was ok. The website says $12.95 for pad Thai, but it’s actually $16. The owner who took my order on the phone said nothing about the price difference. The food was served in a container the size of a lunchable. When I realized how badly I was scammed, I called and told the owner. She told me to kick rocks. This was my first time here and only reason I ordered was because it was the only Thai place open. There are many other far better places. Go there.

The website says 12.95 for pad Thai but was I was charged 15.95 for two tiny servings of pad Thai. As you can see in the photo, the portion was a joke. The size of my hand?? Don't waste your time or money here. Plenty of restaurants that will actually feed you dinner for $16. Basically the size of a grocery store frozen meal. I asked for a refund and the owner said she no but she doesnt mind if I don't come back! What business owner treats unhappy customers that way?? Horrible business practices. Spicy Noodles are always my go to here! They are very spicy I recommend no higher than a 2/5 on the spice level if you’re at all sensitive to spicy foods.

The moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly waiters who spoke Thai fluently. It was a delight to practice my limited Thai with them and feel the genuine warmth of their hospitality.

The menu offered a wide selection of classic Thai dishes, and I opted for the Tom Kha soup and Pad Thai. Let me tell you, the flavors were absolutely phenomenal! The Tom Kha was bursting with a rich coconut milk broth, perfectly balanced with the fragrant lemongrass and the right amount of spice. The Pad Thai, however, was a revelation. This might be the best Pad Thai I've had outside of Thailand! Perfectly stir-fried with fresh ingredients, each bite was a delightful explosion of sweet, savory, and tangy notes.

This restaurant clearly takes pride in using authentic recipes and fresh ingredients, and it shows in the quality of the food. It's a true taste of Thailand right here in Tampa.

I'm sorry we came for the reviews but was disappointed in the portion and quality of food in relation to prices. Yes considering inflation was still less than fair. Very small portions. Fork for scale on pad Thai 15$ meal that was dry and served in an appetizer plate. The appetizers and entrees were all very small.

Friendly staff, delicious food, 5 types of spiciness, very warm and friendly. Amazing thai in Tampa! I had the bean sprouts with shrimp, they were cooked perfectly. Wonderful place.

Had the duck, seemed like they ran out of duck and gave me whatever pieces they had left. It was soggy and salty. The fried rice was good, but very disappointed about the duck.

Inside it feels cozy and intimate with beautiful decorations all around. Most importantly the food is phenomenal. I am never displeased with quality, quantity, or flavor. I am visiting in town for a conference, and this restaurant came up as a local favorite for Thai food so I decided to give it a try.

Service was very good. Waiters were attentive and friendly.
Atmosphere- It certainly has an authentic Thai vibe, but the restaurant just felt somewhat grimy.
Food- this is the most important factor, and this is where they fell short. Firstly, pad se ew is typically a wide rice noodle in every Thai restaurant I have been to. I asked to confirm it was wide rice because it did not mention it on the menu, and she advised that it was not. They only use the thin noodles. Also, I asked if I could substitute one veg for another, and she said I couldn't do that and would charge me $3 more (?!). I pointed out that I am not ADDING, I am substituting, so that balances out the cost, but she refused, and regardless, 3 dollars to substitute is ridiculous.
The spring roll and hot and sour soup was average. I ended up getting the Spicy noodles. There was a lack of sauce, and it did not have much flavor. It tasted overdone and burnt, and as mentioned, it really lacked flavor and could only taste the spice. The other aspect is the serving size is very small, as pointed out by numerous reviews of this restaurant. They are very stingy with the serving size, and it certainly won't fulfill you if you are hungry (you can see portion in the picture). I really enjoy Thai food, but this was restaurant was disappointing.
Prices are otherwise reasonable .
I would not visit here again. There were other Thai restaurants that were highly recommended and would go for those next time.

I love the family that runs this place. They are kind and deliver the same value every time we go. The Chicken pad Thai is my go to choice.

The Tom Yum chicken soup is tasty! Thai iced tea was refreshing. I will def return. Very attentive and caring staff.

Pad thainwas 50/50. CRISPY Duck was BOILED, Even cold inside, no tasty spice, not talking hot spice. Very disapointed. Seems they dont have the right cooks. No reason to visit again.

This is a quaint place with very nice owners. The Tom Khar soup was so good, I want to learn how to make it at home so I can have it more often. This place turned me on to it! I also got Red Curry chicken, medium spice. Light portions that are still filling and flavorful and the spice actually does hit you. I'm glad I didn't go heavier. I like the small portions because it allows you to have room (appetite-wise) to try a variety of things and slow build to fullness, versus getting stuffed on just a single dish, as other restaurants do.

Such a great Thai restaurant, the staff/owners are great people, very sweet. Vegan options here of traditional Thai dishes. Restaurant has a great vibe.

We enjoyed our meal at Royal Palace. Pad Thai was very delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the crab rangoons. It was quite busy when we got there and just as we left was even busier. Good place to check out.

Amazing kitchen, all day every day

My wife and I enjoyed this place a lot… the food was absolutely delicious and fresh…

My only critique is that I Felt like the food could use more flavor and seasoning, but we understand that the daily clientele might not prefer that.

We grew up with southeast Asian foods so we have some preferences, but overall will definitely come back here and just ask next time to have them put extra seasoning.

I was disappointed by the food. Very average rice soup — mostly broth. The tofu basil was bland and the portion was on the smaller side. The space is lovely. And the staff were so friendly. I went for lunch. Maybe dinner is different?!

AC not working sat outside in 90 degrees. We stayed anyway to give food a chance. Curry was water down no flavor. Pad thai too wet with very little meat. One of the worse thai restaurant strange because tampa has a lot of thai competition.

The staff was great and the food was delicious! I had the Damrongs chicken paradise with the waitresses suggestion of chili sauce and it was incredibly good! The crab rangoons and dumplings were delicious as well. Seafood came out a little cold but was better when they brought it back out hot!

The donuts are to die for! Their Cocktails are so great because they are not loaded with unnecessary sugar. Also, we found the entrees to be really tasty. Spicy yet comforting. We got the Pad Thai Chicken and the Basil Pad Thai to share for two. It was enough and we are leaving full. The service was nice they are sweet people

I'm a fried rice fan and Royal Palace Thai serves theirs with their own homemade hot sauce on the side. I'm a regular customer whenever I visit Tampa. If you like Thai food I recommend trying Royal Palace. Their service is good and they have fair prices.

These folks are extremely rude and possess no sense of hospitality. They do not ask for water ( Basic Etiquettes). Ordered a pad thai, the portion was close to nothing as well. I do not recommend.

I dined in today for lunch and was pleased to see they require masks inside and have only outdoor seating. It’s great to see them protecting customers and employees. More people need to go here. It's never busy when we go, which I'll admit is nice, but I bet it's because the seating is outside. I'm here to tell you that if you want a real Thai experience, go here and sit outside and eat your delicious meal in a breezy warm climate akin to that of Bangkok, Thailand. Cars whizzing by, high humidity, and a WORLD of flavor. Recommend the Yellow curry, pork basil, crispy duck panang curry. 💪

The food was really great, everything we ordered was super fresh. Their soups broth is made fresh every morning & you can really tell. They’ve got the best spring rolls I’ve ever had. They need to update their menu because they don’t have sushi anymore but everything else is very yum!

This is my second time getting takeout from Royal Palace. The quality of the food is good. The fried rice lacked a little flavor and texture you would normally expect. The portion size in regards to the amount of protein and vegetables was fairly skimpy in comparison to another Thai place I patronize. If you are looking for somewhere close I definitely wouldn't advise you against it, but if another option was available I might recommend you take option 2 to compare.
Not a must go, but definitely not a never again.

I love reading reviews to see how people really feel about that place. I guess I should have noticed none of the reviews have been recent. To be short the portions were VERY small, prices were VERY high (different than website), and quality was average. I was so excited for Thai, my family loves it. Unfortunately this didn't live up the expectation other reviews set. The curry was good but average, especially for the price and portion. Pad Thai was dry and very very small portion, would compare it to a small appetizer. Overall nice dinner, not worth the price (don't believe the website or menus online) and quality was average being generous. I love supporting local businesses, especially during this struggling time, but honestly I had a lot of higher hopes. I'm not one to to be rude to a restaurant but I was honestly disappointed and I just want everyone else to know that we expect better. Hopefully this review will help the owner to go back to their old ways (saying this from their old reviews that were amazing). I hope this is helpful. Try it for yourself, if your familiar with Thai, and review for yourself.
