Sushi express never disappoints! Their sushi is colorful and fresh. The menu has so many great options to choose from and has wonderful flavor depths. The dishes always look beautiful.

When I got there, I was greeted with gentle and calming music and smiles from the people working there. I ordered two sushi plates and fried rice and it came out shortly after. The meal was absolutely amazing and I would 10/10 love to come back here! Highly recommend 😊

Been 3 times recently, loved it each time. Nigiri here is great. Best ramen in town -- the Naruto Ramen and Spicy Miso Ramen are my favs. I prefer the Chicken meat in the ramen, it's really good!

I love this place. The gyozas are so good and I love the temptation roll. Servers are all friendly, and the decor is so nice.

Best sushi I have had. It's light tasting, not fishy at all. Although I forgot the name of what I ordered, it did have crab, and it was rolled in cucumbers.

So slow. Came to pick up a take out and waited almost 30 min. No one is trying to hurry. Place was dead. They need to change their name to Sushi SLOW.

Excellent food; I've eaten here a ton of times and never gotten food poisoning. Sashimi deluxe will not disappoint and my kids love their pad Thai and other noodle dishes. Always fresh and delicious.

One of my favorite sushi places in this town.

Possibly the most lack-luster dining experience I've ever had. The fish tasted fresh and the dining room was cleanish, which was nice. Unfortunately the compliments end there. Service was so slow, we stopped ordering because everything (one roll, a sashimi plate, and veggie tempura) took so long. The one maki roll we did get was rolled so poorly, it fell apart if you looked at it. Super bummed.

I order from here at least once a week. Typically great. Not today. Today they undercooked the wontons and I'm not sure what they did to my rice but it was literally inedible. When I called to have those two of my 5 items refunded I was told to bring the food back to them. Which is absurd. Considering I orded through door dash. Door dash took responsibility for the part that was cold and refunded me immediately. And to the woman on the phone with the remarkably bad attitude. I hope you have the day you deserve.

These guys have an amazing poke bowl along with some great Thai tea! Noodles were good as well.

Despite the name, not a place to go for lunch if you are in a hurry. I even told them I needed the check and my food in a to go box so i could get back to work, but that didn't speed anything up. I didn't get to eat any of it while there!

First time I had the food here it wasn't great. So I thought I'd give it another shot but it was even worse the 2nd time. Service isn't good at all either, and the dishes we got for our soy sauce were dirty.

We went to eat on a Saturday and there is one employee running the whole store. We paid for the all you can eat, but kinda gave up because other people came in to eat and she had to get their food too. We ordered plain white rice for my son, which he didn't recieve, so we left and went to braums. The rolls were okay, but not fantastic. And we ordered an appetizer of chicken katsu that was was so burned it was black, and was served to us anyway.

From someone who has lived in California where the sushi is fenomenal this place is the closest it gets here in Amarillo! Best sushi in town. Yes even better than Bangkok!

We came in on 4 on a Saturday, turns out that there was only one person running the store. That's right 1. On a Saturday. This one employee was taking orders, making the orders, sending them out and cleaning. The quality of the rolls wasn't horrible but it wasn't great either. The fish were small slivers and its pretty hard to do all you can eat when there is only one person running an entire restaurant. Maybe that day was a fluke but if you only have one employee that cant doing everything, just don't open and wait for someone to help. Too many people in the restaurant and she turned new customers away as they came in. Not the best service.

Good sushi!

After reading mixed reviews about this restaurant, we decided to give it a try today. And OMG food was absolutely amazing. It's surprising that no one mentioned their mind-blowing appetizers. We ordered Shumai which is Japanese dumplings, it was so good that we almost ordered the third one (we picked the all you can eat menu). Their chicken wings were super tasty that I believe they can beat any other chicken wing businesses in town. Sushi was good as expected in a sushi restaurant; fresh ingredients, tasty eel sauce. We agreed with some other reviewers on one thing, their sushi has a bit more rice than meat and is wrapped a bit loose. But no big deal anyway.

Just Go!! You won't regret it. As soon as we walked in we were seated by a very nice woman. She explained the menu as the soup/salad was served before the entree. The food was made fresh and the restaurant was so clean!! It smelled amazing, the music was wonderfully played and the staff was outstanding. We ordered sushi and spicy chicken fried rice, which tasted delicious . The gentleman that took our payment even went out of his way to hold the door open for us. 😁 If I could give 10☆ I would!!

Good and low key

So they have an all you can eat sushi menu. I prefer nigiri, and I have to say, they use a lot of rice and less meat than what you would expect. That being said, 25 bucks for all you can eat is nice. 50% was good sushi, 50% was fair sushi. So take it for what it's worth.
Also it's BYOB which is kind of nice if you plan ahead.

Went in expecting a hibachi style flavor for the Japanese fried rice like other places in town. Was really disappointed. Unbelievably bland and had a fishy taste to the chicken fried rice. No real vegetables to speak of. They were incredibly nice people and maybe the sushi is a better way to go.

For $23 I was able to eat a full set of Crunchy Roll, Hawaiian Roll, Dragon Roll, Oriental roll,Siomai,Gyoza,Tempura, Miso soup!It’s so cheap!!!

So when we first ate here, the guy who owns the business helped us and we had a great experience. We tried it again after that
We ordered the unlimited, We got served once but the lady I guess she didn’t want us to order more so she didn’t came out their kitchen anymore after servicing us one round and it’s taking them forever so we just ended our tab.

We tried it again the 3rd time because we want to give this place a chance,We ordered a eel roll and it was bad, we asked if we can changed it
The lady came out and told us it wasn’t , she showed us other eels and made us try it again but it wasn’t good, She’s like forcing us like she didn’t want to admit it was bad. Anyways, like what happened last time we ordered a unlimited but they only came out after serving us one time If that’s the case they shouldn’t call it “unlimited”. Anyways, for 1 round of 6 pcs of roll that’s very expensive. Last chance was we asked for a our free ice cream and she came out we the gallon and showing us it was hard to dig, so in the end she wasn’t able to get us our ice cream.

We never came again after that experience. I think we gave enough chances.

I also want to add that I asked for a spoon one time and their assistant came with a couple of utensils that are uneven, It took him so long too to get it and you know what he gave me? A freaking big scoop!!! And he’s not asian, He is a white guy so obviously he knows what spoon is! He’s playing with us!

I guess they also got comfortable because we came 3rd time that they didn’t used their good bowls and plates anymore because they served our food with whatever plates they could find in their kitchen. Please hire a better employees.

Might have been a recent name change or is it something else? Nice little sushi restaurant. I say little, there was plenty of space with a choice of the bar, or a table or booth. Service was really nice. Always had our drinks filled and the staff kept the sushi orders coming. Everything tastest absolutely fresh. The avocado was perfect. You know how narrow that window is on perfectly ripe avocado. Got to give the kitchen staff a double thumbs up. The staff was friendly and made us glad we stopped in. We went for the all you can eat option this time, but we will be back to try the main menu selections next time.

Can't get better than all you can eat sushi!

Stopped in at lunch for all you can eat sushi for $14. When we showed up we were the only ones there so was a little nervous. Turned out to be great sushi with lots of options for rolls, appetizer and sides. I will be going back

They took my friend's order and my loves order and didn't take mine! I wanted a chicken fried rice special but she didn't even bother! I ate off my boyfriend's plate because of the sh**y service and they charged me full price for eating 4 rolls. I even explained that no one took my order and the only thing he could say was,"well i saw you eat off his plate." So he charged my 26 $ for four rolls. The food was actually really good. Sushi was great. Service is terrible and they are beyond rude!

Food was not that great over price my son could not share off of us they charge full price for him even though he only ate 3 sushi rolls. The lady charged my card twice and I can't even get anyone on the phone to see if they are getting it fixed so I have to drive back up there for her to do it for the 2 time.

no, the guy in the picture is who handled the food without washing his hands. Put on gloves and then answered the wall phone and then handled the dirty menus and then went back and started to fix my food, same gloves never changed them. Absolutely discussing and the back room was filthy with food in boxes sitting on the dirty floors.

Waited 20 minutes from the moment we paid for "fresh" sushi. Yea... No. Rice was HARD, for the price the roll sizes small, and tempura roll deep fried for WAY too long.. I think the food is good. The prices is fair for sushi. Portions are fair for the price. Quality is excellent. Service is good. It is busy throughout the day so I am not the only one who likes it. I see some bad reviews bit those people most likely complain about their mother cooking. Can't please everyone.

Great variety and excellent presentation

Looking forward to the Sushi Express since it's arrival. It's Amarillo, finding a good sushi restaurant that has fresh sushi is really difficult. Typically, I would go to United Market Street off of Georgia Street. It fresh and tastes pretty decent for the most part however; the meat portions are small.

My first and last visit to Sushi Express happened a few weeks ago. I ordered the Vegan Roll, no meat because of Lent😇. All the vegetables in the roll were fresh and crunchy. No complaints on the food.

The problem that I have is what I witnessed during the making of the roll. Let's get into it... During the checking out of another customer, I witnessed the (what appeared to be the owner and/or manager) walk over and place his finger in the wasabi sauce and fill a to-go container for the customer. This is after coughing on his hand ,behind the counter, and before he washed his hand. These are not appropriate actions in a restaurant.

Needless to say that I did not eat the wasabi..

It was okay, I ordered sweet potato roll said it had sweet potatoes cream cheese and avocado. But there was a 4th ingredient that was not listed and I don't eat shellfish so I didn't eat that roll. I stuck to the Philly roll salmon and cream cheese. They need experienced waiters, I watched the waiter while I waited for my Togo order and he delivered soup with his hands all over the top rim of the bowls. Things you notice when you've waited tables before.

Sushi not so Express. This was the worst sushi we have ever had. It was mushy, loosely rolled and bland. The panko crumbs tasted like old donut grease. The dumplings (which are fried, not steamed...my bad for not asking) tasted like dirty tap water. I had a friend try them and he spit it out. We called in the order and it took 10 minutes longer than they said. No biggy for me at the time. I wasn't in a hurry, but don't use the word "express". The guy checking us out was going a tortoise pace and made us feel awkward and we just wanted to leave. There was no reason for them to take so long. They only had two tables. The prices are no cheaper than any other sushi restaurant in town. I really don't see this place lasting long and will not be coming back.
