Lemon Grass Restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience, elevated by its highly professional and knowledgeable staff. The individual who took our order demonstrated remarkable expertise, sharing fascinating stories behind each dish and offering insightful recommendations with warmth and intelligence. His guidance led us to some of the finest selections on the menu, including an exquisite fish as main and tart that stood out as a highlight among the desserts. Every element of the meal was thoughtfully curated, and the wine pairing, suggested by the staff, complemented our dishes perfectly. The combination of outstanding service, refined flavors, and an inviting atmosphere made for an unforgettable evening.
Me and my friends decided to try this restaurant for our Valentine’s Day girls night and we was not disappointed at all. We agree we would definitely come back one day. For appetizers my friends had oysters and I had the shrimp dumplings. There were 4 dumplings and they tasted amazing and the sauce they made to go with them complimented them really well. I also tried my friend oysters which I usually don’t eat oysters but I ended up having two because they were actually good. I preferred them with the tobacco sauce though instead of the sauce it came out with. My friend also agreed my dumplings were really good. I had a drink called true loves kiss and I enjoyed that also. We all had different entrées so we were able to try different things. I had the Kao Soy, 1 friend had the seafood combo prig pow, and the other had seafood combo street tamarind. They were all amazing dishes but we agreed that mines was the best. My dish had lobster, chicken, a scallop, noodles, bokchoy all in a nice creamy curry sauce with this crunchy noodles on top to add in a different texture. It was so much that I had left overs, one of my other friends had left overs too and we left feeling so full. I’m so glad we gave this place a try. The atmosphere was even nice, there was a lot of people but it still wasn’t too loud. We was still able to talk to each at the table and laugh while enjoying our time. If you come here I think the best thing to do is to make a reservation. When we arrived I gave them my name and we was seated immediately, there was no wait. I would definitely be recommending this restaurant to people who want to try something new and different with a lot of great flavors.
One of the best meals I have ever eaten. We took our daughter for Valentine's dinner. Service was amazing, food was exceptional, drinks were tasty. We ate the seafood salad, calamari, and shrimp dumplings for our appetizers. The dumplings were the best we have eaten. I had the halibut special and the fish was perfection. My husband had the 30 ounces steak that was delicious, and our daughter had the duck. For dessert, we had the apple pie with burnt sugar ice cream. It was fabulous.
DECENT DINNER
My daughter and I came here on the night before college move-in for a nice meal.
We absolutely loved the cauliflower with two sauces and the oysters. Both appetizers were dynamite and she appreciated being able to have a gluten free deep fried option.
Stir fried dish was only ok…
Lobster was a very meager portion for $30.
I’m not sure we will come back, but I’m definitely glad we tried it out.
My wife and I took advantage of the start of Downtown Dining Week 2024 and enjoyed a 3-course meal at Lemon Grass, and overall had a great experience. The value you get during dining week is excellent, but I can't speak to their standard prices. That said, everything we had was delicious and as much a joy for the eyes as they were for our taste buds.
We went on a Saturday night (again, during Dining Week), so the restaurant was completely full, and the entire service staff was constantly busy. In spite of that, our waters were constantly refilled throughout the night, and our food came out in a very timely fashion - we never felt like the meal was lasting too long. When we finished our meal, our waitress even let us know that we were more than welcome to hang out at our table to watch the end of the Syracuse basketball game, which while we didn't take her up on it, spoke to the hospitality of the staff. My only (minor) complaint was that it was rather loud in the first dining area, but that's too be expected on a busy Saturday night in the room that includes the bar seating.
The food, as always, was outstanding. Each dish had an impressive depth and nuance of flavor that made each bite exciting. The highlight for us was the Green Curry Beef - the cinnamon basil and Thai chili curry sauce was to die for, with a perfect amount of heat so as to not overpower and take away from the intended flavor itself. Lastly, a pro-tip: do NOT skip out on dessert here. Every option is hand-crafted into a beautiful presentation, and the flavors themselves live up to their appearance. Kudos to the pastry chef for continuing to do a great job.
We ate at Lemon Grass for the first time recently and it was phenomenal!
The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. We had an amazing time! Everyone was friendly, attentive, and the entire meal from beginning to end was flawless.
We ended up ordering way too much food, but it all was just so good!
We started with the corn and blue crab soup special, which was delicious, then we got the shrimp dumplings and the yellowtail sashimi appetizer special. It was all excellent!
For our entrees we had the short rib panang curry and the dijon crusted rack of lamb. The rack of lamb was the most tender piece of lamb we have ever had. It was outstanding. The short rib panang curry was perfectly balanced with a great heat and a nice sweetness, and the short rib was tender - just delicious!
We also ordered some great drinks while we were there. Their lavender lemonade is great, as is their Thai Iced tea (a requirement whenever you're eating at a Thai restaurant). We even threw them a bit of a curveball by asking for a traditional Thai cocktail "Sabai Sabai" and they were able to make this for us as well.
For dessert we got a raspberry sorbet (which comes with seasonal fruit) and a raspberry tart. Everything was so good!
We can't wait to go back!
Exceptional service and food!!! Our favorite place with friends
Amazing food, staff and ambience every time!

We love Lemongrass. Every time is am awesome experience. From start to finish always exceptional
Great service , great atmosphere , excellent food.
unfortunately, lemongrass in 2025 is a far cry of what it once was. the quality of the service has diminished (waiter ruined a pair of sneakers, it was completely avoidable), the meal was subpar, and the atmosphere was fast casual. this used to be the best restaurant in Syracuse, but now it's mediocre.
Excellent restaurant, delicious food and great service! The pear maytag blue cheese salad and prig pow with chicken are my favorites.
Delicious and nice fine dining experience
Gorgeous ambiance, great desserts, but most have no prices listed in the menu. Service was OK.
Swordfish steak was amazing. Chili sauce was a little over powering. Would recommend highly.
We went for Christmas Eve dinner and left thinking - why is this place rated a 4.4? The food was absolutely delicious and Ethan offered attentive, personable, thoughtful service. // I will admit, the hosts were cold (rather than welcome, it was more of a can I help you vibe; an establishment like this could use a more welcoming vibe). Otherwise, all great! // We received water right away and our glasses never sat empty. Ethan read a long list of specials off the top of his head (impressive) and answered detailed questions about the menu. // The oysters and vegan dumplings were excellent. // Paneer '24 and the Thai Panang Curry was the best we've ever had. // We tried 4 desserts and they were well liked by the table, though I would have preferred soft serve ice cream. // They were out of three cock/mocktails but what we had was delicious! // Wonderful experience!
Big/high shout out to this restaurant and it's employees.while having dinner my diamond bracelet fell off my wrist and I didn't notice it til I got home, we called the restaurant and they found it and I got it back! Unfortunately, that wouldn't happen in most restaurants, but Thank God this restaurant is above them all!!!
There is an old man bartender here who is rushing people, and bullying Kennedy the other bartender. He is extreme rude and butts into conversations. He thinks he is funny but he is condescending and is making women uncomfortable at this restaurant. If it was not for Kennedy our party would have left immediately.
Food was delicious. Our waiter was rude however and we waited over 40 minutes for him to take our drink order. We were about to get up and leave truthfully. I would hesitate to recommend this restaurant.
Always an amazing experience!
I took my girlfriend out on her birthday to Lemongrass . The Service was the worst that I experienced in a long time . I was very surprised being that this is suppose to be one of Syracuse top rated restaurants, far as elegance . My waitress which was an older woman never came and checked on On my table once . I caught eye contact with her and waved her over to my table to get a refill of water. I ordered a couple Appetizers before our entrée plate arrived. Those appetizer plates were left on the table the whole time I was trying to clear those . I mentioned something to the manager nothing was done. I believe he was mad because when I left, he did not say bye to me like I heard him say to the other tables of guest that left before me, I don’t want to make out to be a race thing but no other reason I believe I was treated that way because the table next to me got a lot of attention .maybe she believed she wasn’t gonna get tipped well so she They didn’t have to attend to us. Which was which was a wrong and unfair Judgment . I tipp well over 15% I travel all around the world to fine restaurants. And did not expect this in my hometown very disappointed I’ve been wanting to go here for a long time since it was at its first location around the corner. Hopefully you won’t have the same problem.. (If I could rate service at a zero star, I would)
Don was our captain for the evening and he was absolutely amazing. He was very attentive to our needs, transforming our celebration dinner into an experience. Thank you!
We ate at Lemon Grass for the first time recently and it was phenomenal!

We can't wait to go back!
My mom and I ate here for her birthday and, after reading the reviews, I had high expectations. But sadly, I left disappointed with my experience. I ordered their catch of the day which was pan-seared halibut. The fish was overcooked, dry, and bland. Strange thing too was they served lettuce on top of the hot fish so by the time it got to my table, the lettuce had gone soft and the leaves sitting directly on top of the fish were wilted - not the most appetizing thing to scrape off. I also thought the pommes puree they served with it was a bit salty. For 60.00 a plate, it was very disappointing.
My mother had the oysters, which she loved, and the filet mignon which she said was just okay (she said the steak was not consistently cooked throughout). Overall, after spending 180+ on dinner, I don't think I'll be coming back a second time.

Nice restaurant ambience. High end. The one vegan option main course, Priew Wan, was terrible. worst tofu I’ve ever had. No flavor. Hard. Yuck. And I like tofu.
I recently visited Lemon Grass and was thoroughly disappointed with the service. Despite the restaurant appearing overstaffed, it took over 40 minutes just to have our orders taken. We tried to flag multiple individuals, but nobody seemed to want to take responsibility. This delay is unacceptable and left us frustrated from the start.
Throughout our meal, we had four different servers, none of whom seemed to know who was managing our table. This lack of coordination was evident and only added to the poor service experience. While the food itself was decent, the atrocious waiting experience overshadowed any enjoyment we might have had from our meals.
Unfortunately, due to the significant delay and confusion among the staff, our dining experience was far from enjoyable. I hope Lemon Grass addresses these service issues promptly, as this is not the level of service expected from such an establishment.
The food was as expected and approved by my Chinese wife. She’s a little picky so her stamp of approval is a big deal. What really stood out was the service, from the hostess to the waitress to the bus people. This is why we tipped $60 on a $210 check. We will be back.
Aaron aka Gabriel was an excellent waiter! Can't wait to go back!
This was my second time eating at Lemongrass and the entire experience was amazing. Not only is it a beautiful restaurant but the food is truly second to none. The Filet with Massaman and the lobster dip are must have items.
Lastly, our waitress Shauna R. was the cherry on top to our experience. She was so nice, funny, and had great suggestions for food and drinks. My wife and I really enjoyed her energy and she definitely enhanced our experience.
Walked in on a Tuesday evening expecting regular Thai food and ended up having one of the best dinners I’ve ever had in Syracuse! And the service (thank you Don!) was some of the best service I’ve ever had in all of New York.
Unfortunately took no photos because we were so focused on eating but I definitely recommend the House Spring Rolls, Shrimp Dumplings, Sashimi of the day, the Whole Seabass with sweet tamarind sauce, and any of the desserts!
Outstanding Thai food, steaks and chops, and original desserts. A beautiful bar to meet friends, and an award-winning wine list. The service and ambiance are excellent. Max, the owner/chef, is a perfectionist in the pursuit of providing the community with an outstanding dining experience. Many people consider this the best restaurant in the Syracuse area. (Note that the restaurant has moved to 113 Walton Street, one block north of its original downtown location.) UPDATE-1: Still, great service, great food, and great ambience.
The salad was fresh & crisp, served with a delicious balsamic vinaigrette. The New York strip was tender & juicy, maybe a little more done than medium rare.
We recently took my adult sons for dinner. We had a spectacular meal. Food was simply delicious . My son commented that we have dined at several Michelin rated restaurants and Lemon Grass’ food was better than nearly all of them. The service was top notch. Nevin was immensely helpful, attentive and personal . It was expensive for Syracuse but worth it…we will be completely back soon. Keep up the great work…
Lovely Mother’s Day brunch with a wide range of vegetarian options as well as attentive and helpful staff within a relaxed atmosphere. Curries could all be combined with range of proteins—most of us had tofu, which was excellently prepared, while duck also came out ideally cooked. Solid suggestions for wine pairings as well. Sizeable portions and an all around wonderful experience at one of Syracuse’s best restaurants
Really good. Pretty much a fusion type menu. I would definitely go back.
June 2022
Food was as good as I'd been told. Unfortunately, service was understaffed. Those present did an excellent job.
Love this place will definitely be back and definitely 5 star.
Great food except my NY Strip steak had a large sinew running through it that made some bites not very enjoyable. It even made it difficult to cut. Other than that, the flavor was excellent. I didn't complain because the portion was large and I couldn't eat it all anyway.
I love this restaurant, and I a foodie and a tough food critic. I have never had a meal here that was not 100% enjoyable and luxurious. My favorite, and it's tough for me to pick one, is their Thai Sweet and Sour. So much that I went home, because we lived an hour away from downtown Syracuse and figure out how to replicate it as best as I could. I am close, but still they tease out flavors that are hard to replicate. Service has always been gracious, professional and accurate, and the ambiance is high end, relaxing and indulging. I cannot recommend this place enough. It's appropriate for a date night, special occasion and also a fine dining spur of the moment, if you can get a table. Truly a gem.
It’s pricey and so worth it! Amazing Thai and Indian options although we had the fish specials. Big portions and service with a smile with awesome food presentation. A must!
Fantastic food and great service
The finest restaurant in Syracuse. I rave about their oysters, duck, short rib. Pretty much everything on the menu has a well factor and you should experience every item. The bartenders are very friendly and the music really adds to the ambience of the place. This is a great date night or anniversary restaurant. We love to go there before a show in downtown.
We were in town for a show and made a last minute reservation to have dinner. We had the best experience thanks to our wonderful server, Roman. It was a busy night and we didn’t have a lot of time for dinner. Roman ensured we were in and out in time for the show while also providing excellent service. His recommendations were perfect and the food was phenomenal! We will definitely be back!
I went to dinner with a customer on a Wednesday night. We had coconut shrimp, Oysters, dumplings and spring rolls for the appetizers. The dumplings and oysters tied for 1st. Our server pointed me in the correct direction for the main course. I had the seafood special with a spicy sauce and the dry asian noodles over the top. I couldn't find the name on the menu but i would ask for it again. It was fantastic. The desserts all got A's for presentations but I held back and had the port. It was a great night out.
I've been dining at The Lemongrass for 20 years. The food has always been excellent & still is, but the ambiance at the new location is horrid. I ate there two weeks ago & the bar had bright white overhead lights reminiscent of an office, & the dining room had the same lights on a smaller scale. Between the bright lights & the tables crammed in like sardines I felt like I was in a highschool cafeteria. Also got sick from the table a foot away from me, all of whom were coughing. Love the food but never going back to that lack of ambiance and intimacy & privacy. Not worth paying top dollar to dine in a cafeteria setting

Came to lemongrass because pastabilities was booked, so glad we did. Enjoyed fast service, delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere for a date night with my wife. Can definitely say we will be back again!
Wonderful experience! Good always has been so good! High quality, cooked perfect and just so good! Same with desert. However the main attraction has been the waiter Charles! This guy is a master at his craft! We call ahead to assure he is working and get seated in his section. His descriptions, explanations and overall making you feel heard and important is just unbelievable. Out of all the places I have eaten Charles has been by far, the best we have ever had. Trust me and ask to be seated in his section. You will just be amazed and than when you go eat somewhere else you’ll be so let down by the next waiter because of the experience with Charles. Just a great place!
One of the best meals I have ever had!
Great hostess, bartender head waitress and staff!
Stopped in quickly for a drink while out seeing a client. Wonderful atmosphere, very clean and classy. Simple yet elegant. The bar is a gorgeous white marble and very well stocked.
Didn't eat, but the menu seemed very appetizing.
I will definitely be bringing the wife back for a dinner date soon!
I wish I could remember the servers name. Older gentleman. Great server. My bill was 284. I left him 100 for a tip. Made our visit there very nice. Food was astronomically great. We will return.
The food and service is always fantastic here! A special thanks to our server, Brian, who made our experience even better than usual!
The food was good but a bit salty, the service was okay and the atmosphere was okay.. expensive for what you get, the dessert was excellent
My partner and I had been looking so forward to trying Lemon Grass.
I have to tell you, it was one of the worst experiences that I have ever had. From the moment we walked in the door, I was soured. I have never met such a rude and snotty hostess in my entire life. The way she spoke down to us was completely inappropriate and uncalled for. It's amazing to me how the owners of Lemon Grass would allow someone like that to be the first person you interact with. She should not be the face of Lemon Grass.
We sat at the bar for a few minutes before our table was ready. We had a beer and cocktail. Then the rude hostess said our table was ready and another rude person took us to a table for two. The tables were so crammed together I could have reached over and picked food off someone else's plate. Very uncomfortable when you are trying to have a romantic meal with your partner.
Then a rude server came to the table. She did not smile once the entire service. Stone cold and ignorant.
I looked around the restaurant and not one employee was smiling. They were all miserable, snobby and rude. I have never been to a restaurant before where not one employee said hello; or welcome; or how are you this evening? or thank you for coming, etc.
I agree with some of the other reviews. The food was subpar and pedestrian, at best. $88 for a steak that was overcooked on one side; and we actually had to ask for a steak knife🤦
I am certainly not complaining about the price. I knew it was going to be an expensive meal. I have no problem paying money for a great meal, but Lemon Grass was certainly not worth it.
We had to wait over 15 minutes for our server to come back and offer us a dessert menu. The ONLY good thing about this restaurant were the desserts. They tasted amazing and the presentation was beautiful. If only such care had been given to the entrees.
I will probably never return to Lemon Grass. I will stick with Pastabilities 🍝 (down the road) where the wait staff are amazing and the food is 💯 times better.
Great food and wine. Very slow for a big party. Filet massaman and lamb curry are amazing
Went for a birthday dinner fantastic place
Food was really good, but a bit overpriced for the syracuse area. The issues revolved around our incompetent waiter - either nowhere to be found right from the start (waited about 10min or so till he showed up at our table), got our order incorrect so we had to wait for the third entree to come,
forgot to bring the rice which he said he would, as well as a box for leftovers, charged us for four entrees rather than three, and then proceeded to fix the bill. Unfortunately, his fix of the bill was running our card thru incorrectly without changing a thing. Had to have the manager correct it. Anytime we asked him for something, he would come back to the table with the wrong thing or not come back at all.
The couple next to us was also frustrated cause they wanted to leave and he was nowhere to be seen. He did not bring their credit card back with the bill, and by this point they were totally annoyed with the whole situation just like us. Heard him being snarky to them too. Not professional whatsoever. Did notice the other servers working hard and moving fast. He is just not one of them...
We have always thought of lemon grass as a top Thai resataurant:than they told us they do no longer serve pad Thai a few months ago,in addition many dishes appears to be less
Authentic tase and good variety. I really missed thr pineapple fried rice. They should get it back on the menu.
My husband and I went to Lemon Grass last night for the first time for my birthday dinner. We shared the Chive Cakes appetizer. I had the Himalayan Mango Chicken, my husband had the Sweet Tamarind Scallops, and we split the Raspberry Tart for dessert. All were excellent, but the scallops (which I stole a bite of from my husband's plate) were the best. Our server was charming, friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being intrusive. It was a lovely dining experience for a special occasion.
Went here for our anniversary for the first time and the food was awesome! The food was a little pricey but was delicious. Our appetizer consisted of 4 dumplings which was rather small for what the cost was. But the meal itself was generously portioned. We both tried the curry. They have creative cocktails and homemade from scratch desserts that seasonally change. The tables were a little close together so it was a bit loud while eating. They were very consistent with refilling water glasses before they were even emptied. Overall we had a great experience and would go back again one day!
The food is decent but I expect a bit more when paying a higher than average price per person in Syracuse.
Great place I loved it 😁
Great waiter and food. Putting on must stop anytime I visit
Excellent!!..
Always excellent food and service. Don C. was our waiter and was exceptional.
Disappointing, that’s how I would describe this restaurant. Not sure why the food is so over priced when it’s not even barely good. The atmosphere was pretty decent for what it’s worth. I’d stay away from this restaurant.
There is no better location for fresh and unique seafood in CNY.
Best duck I’ve had. This place was very nice. I found the staff and other patrons to be very happy and friendly.
Excellent upscale dining. Very tasty dishes, especially the beef and seafood.
Always a fantastic meal, my favorite place to take friends and family visiting from out of town. Their menu is unique with uncommon flavors highlighted in the dishes. The curries taste like theyve been marinating a long time so you really get the full, layered flavor. Try the prig pao!
Awesome!! Can't wait to visit again!
It was wonderful! The food was sooo good (spicy and sweet!). Upscale experience but comfy casual! Wonderful way to experience Syracuse!!
I honestly don’t know why I’ve waited so long to write this but I can’t say enough good things about lemongrass. I drive an hour both ways just to come here and they’ve NEVER let me down. I cannot stress enough- if you’re still debating on going here because of the price or you’re nervous to try thai food, let this be your sign to go!! SO worth it.
Let's talk about portions that leave you satisfied and staff that leaves you impressed. This restaurant knows how to deliver on both fronts. The food is a culinary masterpiece, and the portions are generous, ensuring you won't be leaving with an empty stomach.
Place food has gone downhill since they moved
I had filet minon with green curry and it was amazing! It has a kick so if you don’t like spicy food this might not be for you. Andrea was my server and she was amazing!
Delicious. Will definitely eat here again!
I've been wanting to try Lemon Grass for some time now, I was very excited to try it for the first time tonight. Boy was I blown away! I already had the bar set at a decent level and exceeded all of my expectations. I started with a 'pour decision' to drink which was delicious. For an appetizer we had the shrimp dumplings, they. Were. Sooo. Good!!! Perfectly cooked And The little garlic crunchies on top took It will another level! Delicious on every level! For my entree I had chicken with red curry, it was hands down the best curry I have ever had in my life. This chicken curry dish is now what I will compare all other curry dishes to in the future. My fiance had the Himalayan mango dish, it was very good but I loved the curry more. We were too full to try dessert today, we saw a couple go past while being delivered and they looked delicious! We will definitely save room next time! All in all I was blown away and amazed, definitely can't wait to go back!!
Amazing;)
Great food and great service.
Charles was just wonderful in helping us choose the food and ran to get some more while the kitchen was closing
I was very excited to dine out at the Lemon Grass restaurant because I love Thai food and the reviews were great and I was personally told it was delicious. The decor is beautiful and our service was incredible but the choices we made were not that great. The presentation most definitely gets a 5 star but I was not impressed with the finished product. We ordered 2 starters a shrimp dumpling, it was probably our favorite because the sauce was so delicious but there were only 4 dumplings for $19, most definitely too expensive. We also ordered a special of the night, corn chowder soup topped with crabmeat, it was ok but nothing that made me hum about. Our entree was a house special: pan seared swordfish with mashed potatoes and fresh green beans and the Prawn Makham. I thought the sauce with the prawn makham was overly sweet to the point of not really enjoying the meal. The jasmine rice did cut the sweetness but this was most definitely a dish I would not order again. The swordfish lacked any seasoning and although it was pan seared it lacked any kind of crispness that one would expect to get with a pan-sear. Our drinks were delicious and our service was impeccable but for the overall price $187.00 for 2 people I did not leave feeling like I had an incredible dining experience.
A little expensive - be sure to ask what market price is on a dish before you order and there will be no sticker shock. Probably the at restaurant in Syracuse. Great Thai, the freshest seafood, excellent steaks.
I love this place and have been here many times but when we went for a business lunch on July 7th, the waiter was very dismissive and it’s unacceptable. He was rude and at one point spilled drinks on one of our group member and didn’t even say sorry. Lemongrass should look into this matter and ensure that such folks are retrained to be service oriented and to be nice to patrons.
Delicious! First time here. Excellent service and Hunter our waiter was very nice and attentive. We tried chicken with Himalayan mango and the paneer with prig pow as entrées and they were flavorful and generous servings. The spring rolls were okay but the sauce was so good. We ordered the local honeycomb with ice cream dessert and it was exceptional. It is pricey but worthy for a special event or celebration.
Great food. Pricey but worth it!
First time in. We were first reservation in this night and the hostess almost couldn't even be bothered with us. So abrupt and dismissive. Our server Jenna turned that around. Trust her for recommendations. Unfortunately desserts left us wishing we had just stuck with apps and entrees. I'm still tasting freezer burn an hour later. We'll still go back but not for desserts.
We had our son’s graduation dinner here. Exceptional service and exceptional food. Very high scale, they are all very attentive. Enjoyed the experience immensely. Little too pricey, but it is not your everyday dinner place. You come here for occasions to feel special. The food was absolutely amazing. From start to finish. Decadent desserts!
The service was very good and me and my friends enjoyed a nice dinner here. Some of the entrees were a bit too salty or a bit too sweet but the rice helped balance it out. I had the fish of the day cooked thai style and we ordered the seafood tower for the table. Good for a celebration or graduation dinner.
The food is always amazing staff are excellent.. Matt the bartender knows his job well
The sauce was amazing! There were hardly any vegetables. It was like eating two packets of tofu and two packets of Paneer. The service was a bit slow, but they did a great job aside from that.
Jewel
This is an average Thai restaurant charging well above average prices. Food wasn't that great, and the service was laden with bad attitude across the board. Portions are quite small in size, so make sure you aren't starving before you come here.
This was my second visit to this restaurant. While the first one was great, the second was not so. We ordered two different curries, and both of them were extremely spicy. It was to the point that all other flavors were gone. We also ordered a bottle of Gewuertstraminer from Alsace, and the waiter brought one from Germany. Received the right one after pointing it out.
We are blessed with this quality of restaurant
It has been years since I have had a meal as memorable as the one I had at Lemongrass. We had the tuna tartare appetizer, the orange duck entree, and the deboned-at-the-table fish special entree. Every bite was perfectly cooked and packed with bold, well-balanced flavor. The price may be higher, but it is well worth it for such an outstanding meal. My mouth is still watering 2 weeks later, writing this review.
1st time eating here and didn't know what to expect. I knew it was more upscale and not your typical chain style restaurant. However, after being presented with the specials, I asked what the price was for the seafood salad special. Was told $50, and it had a whole lobster on it. That was too much food for me, so the waiter told me that there is a $38 salad that was smaller, so I opted for that. The salad wasn't $38, but $45.
You pay for presentation of your food, not food. Unfortunately, the portion sizes don't justify the price. I rarely dine out, due to diet restrictions and not enjoying most restaurant meals, and this was no exception.
Sat for 2 hours without even eating yet. Didn’t light our candles and barley payed attention to our table. Will never be returning!
Phenomenal food, superb Waitress, great atmosphere!
Excellent
Nice ambiance, wonderful live jazz, clean and very relaxing setting. However, we don’t judge restaurants solely based on the vibes, but the food as well of course….
The good: “taste of Syracuse” 3 course was decently priced. $35 for an appetizer, salad, and entree. For the apps, the oysters and chive dish was great. Not hard to do oysters, but the chive dish was amazing. Great spicy soy sauce based dressing and the chive patty’s were cooked nicely. The salad was a salad, not much to say. The entrees were the sword fish, red curry, and steak all cooked nicely and sauces were perfect. The dessert was amazing as well but we all have sweet tooth’s so not hard to please.
The bad: definitely not authentically Thai at all. Keep your expectations low for authentic Asian or Thai food. The seafood dip was not good, tasted burnt. The steak at first was brought out rare/raw. Immediately when cutting in we could tell it was basically seared slightly and nothing else so we had it cooked a second time, and it came out perfect on the next go around. The red curry was alright, heavy on the oil and not spicy. Kind of watery and salty as well, definitely not the best curry nor was it authentic. The curry was a 2/5 at best. This place is relatively expensive, so I don’t think I will be returning anytime soon.
Love it!! Food is perfection and the best old fashion I have ever had!!!!!
The food, atmosphere, and service here was phenomenal. I was shocked at exactly how big the restaurant is inside.
I also ordered a mock tail that was DELICIOUS.
Nice ambiance and the food is pretty good. It's a little pricey but a nice place to dine. The desserts are great.
When Lemongrass is on they are the benchmark of fine dining in Syracuse - From American Steaks and Chops to Asian delights, Lemongrass usually exceeds expectations
Dinner was fine, but at that price point it should be more than fine. I've had better food for half the price, and better atmosphere less cost as well.
Lemongrass is one ofu favorite places to get dinner in Armory Square. Food, drinks and service are always great. Look forward to eating here again.
Good food and friendly staff!
