The food was so good. The portions were large. The service was friendly and fast. The chef came out to check on us and was so nice.

First time visit and although the service was great and restaurant atmosphere clean and pleasant, we were very disappointed with entree food quality, our protein choices and portions were sparse. Very small pieces of chicken and pork, almost like scraps. My partners plate was a 3rd decorative garnish and not the dish itself. Even the veggies in my yellow curry dish, carrots, potatoes and eggplant were sparse. Not what you would expect of a $16 Thai dish. They do also have a sushi bar but the sushi menu and rolls variety were pretty basic and lacked normal sushi restaurants/bar creativity.

We ordered two rolls and the fish was fresh, the rice the perfect consistency, and the overall flavor was harmonious. My gf got the duck curry and the duck was melt-in-your-mouth! Joe was very attentive to all the customers and myself, he made sure the meal was to my liking. He helped me decided on Tom Yum soup and this Cashew Nut Sauce Chicken dish, both of which were perfect. The Tom Yum had a delicious blend of spices and herbs that paired well with a complimentary salad they gave me.
As for the Cashew Nut Sauce, it was fantastic! The veggies and chicken were fresh, prepared well, and the cashew sauce was sweet and tangy.

Aroy D serves some of the best eats you can get in Bradenton, and the prices are fair for what you get. They’ll be my go-to for my Thai food needs!

The topping is a tempura fried crab and it makes the roll what it is, delicious! I have never had a sushi roll with that before, and I was amazed at how much flavor it added. This is my go to spot for sushi, and their Thai menu is also amazing all the way down to the dessert. The food is high quality, always fresh, and made with careful skill and effort. Highly recommend.

This was our first time here after reading some good reviews online. Lovely little place with friendly staff. Menu has lots on it including sushi, noodle dishes, and rice dishes. For drinks we had their house wine which is actually pretty good for the price of it. Overall we had a good night.

Good food, friendly and accommodating staff. Unfortunately, the bathroom (Men's) needed cleaning and maintenance. It would be in the best interest of smaller businesses to take the extra effort and always make sure their bathrooms are very clean and well tended to. On more than one occasion, I have chosen not to return to a restaurant due to a neglected lavatory and I'm sure there are others out there that feel the same the same way.

The customer serice was very excellent from the whole staff. The place vibes was family orientated and cozy. The food was very tasty no need to add salt,blackpepper or any kind of sauces. The drinks are good and the bathroom are clean. The price I paid for 5 person was cheap and it was alot of food. Definitely will be visiting this restaurant again.

This was my sixth night here on the island. I love sushi and have tried a new restaurant each night. So far every place has been outstanding yet some much better than others. Unfortunately Aroy D Thai and Sushi was absolutely awful. I have never had a spicy salmon roll that had an abundance of spicy mayo. It was horrible. I also decided to try a new roll, again filled with spicy mayo and covered with something that wasn’t tempura flakes like it was supposed to have. Even the salmon sashimi arrived to my table as salmon sushi 🍣 sent it back for the correct item, thus was the only two pieces that were edible.
I’m so sorry but this is not a place to go for sushi. I will definitely need to either go to a place I’ve been or just try some other cuisine tonight to make up for such a disappointing dinner which was unfortunately $40 😞😢

First time dinning at Aroy D Thai & Sushi. We were a party of 10 visiting from Houston, TX. We had a variety of dishes, which were very flavorful. I ordered the chicken Pad Thai & must say that it was the best chicken Pad Thai I've ever had! The service, ambiance and attention to detail was above the rest, but the wow factor was to be serviced by the owners themselves. I highly recommend Aroy D! We will definately be back !

Visited the night of the forth. Sat right away, and ordered sushi, chicken wontons, pad se ue, beef curry, and lomain for the daughter. Every dish knocked it out of the park. I have had Thai food from California to Florida, and they are second to none. Great price also.

The food is great. However, the staff who gets our orders was rude to us. He’s sighing when we asked for something, but he’s not rude to the other customers behind us, only to us. I don’t get it why he’s like that. But the black guy who serves water and cleans the table was very kind and respectful.

Had to be the worst curry we have ever eaten. The sushi was debatable. The miso soup was like colored water. Will never go back. Should have gone to our favorite, Thai Palace but wanted to try something different.

I just had what has to be the best Thai food I’ve found in the Sarasota/Bradenton area. What I loved most is the dish was jam packed with veggies and protein with ample sauce, versus loading up on the noodles (which soak up the sauce when delivered) like the other Thai houses I’ve ordered from. Crazy noodles were AWE-SOME!
I read up on the history of this restaurant, and just had to try it! You did not disappoint! I have now found my weekly Thai fix, you’ll be seeing me again regularly. Consistency is key, I’m finding other spots lacking in that area lately. Thank you for a wonderful meal!

Ordered sushi from here one morning after they had just opened. I ordered about $30 worth of food. I took one bite and immediately spat it out. The fish was off. Smelled funny and tasted funny. $30 of sushi went straight into the trash. Very disappointed because this place is very highly rated. However, you only get one chance at first impressions. If you guys want to make it up to me and invite me back, I would love to change my mind. But, as it stands, this is the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in about five years.

Good green curry!

First time ordering, coming from An area out of state that has amazing Thai food. This place was able to make the vegan accommodations without sacrificing any of the flavor. The tom kha was delicious and the added rice noodle took it to another level.

Best Thai restaurant in Bradenton. Friendly staff, great food, great atmosphere. Joe is the best! We go pretty regularly or order take out. I'm confident the duck noodle soup can fix most of my life's problems if ordered spicy enough.
The service is always prompt. Lately I've ordered the green peppercorn eggplant. My wife likes all of the sushi. They regularly have interesting special rolls.

Food has good taste but our appetizer came out with a white plastic sheet that was accidentally partially eaten by us as it was hidden in the first dish. The appetizer was removed from the bill but left an impression upon us.

The Yellow Curry with Pork is amazing. Atmoshere is great and cozy. Staff are quick, helpful and welcoming. I recently tried Thai food and now I'm addicted. Definitely recommend.

Speaking for my wife and I we are always pleased with the food and the service as well as my wife's sister who goes there often. Joe the manager is always very accommodating and a gracious host.

I went here for dinner last week. I spent a few months in japan,so i know my way around the menu.and what a menu it is? Its like they cherry picked all the greatest dishes from ja p an and thailand. Curries, pad thai, giant tuna rolls,exquisite dummplings. For this exceptional taste and scope of delicious food. The Kirin icgiban beer was ice cold. I will be back soon and often

Fried tofu was good, and shrimp pad Thai was even better. Savory. Good amount of spice to give it a kick. The waiter was very Attentive. Atmosphere was chill and cozy. The place was clean and even the bathroom was presentable. I would definitely come back!

Disappointing experience at Aroy D Thai and Sushi: we arrived pretty late for dinner around 8pm and there were just a few customers. Still, it took the restaurant staff about 40min to bring our orders, saying they were waiting for all the dishes to be cooked before bringing them to our table. They also made mistakes with two out of four orders (swapped shrimp for pork, forgot to add spice to my pad see ew). They offered a 10% discount ($6 off), but honestly they should have comped some of the dishes (especially the one with the wrong protein) or offered dessert to apologize for the long wait and mistakes. We won't be back.

Our family used to live in Thailand and we’re always searching for legit Thai food. This food is THE BEST we’ve had since moving back to the U.S. The beef salad and pad Thai is exactly the flavor of what we used to get in Thailand. The pineapple fried rice is incredible. The restaurants service is a little slow, but it’s worth the wait!

Ate there yesterday for lunch. Everything was good. I like how they prepare their tofu; torn irregularly instead of cubes. And love thatvthey had vegetarian lunch special options. Prices are too low given the quality of the preparation.
Had the thai basil stir fry which surprisingly appeared to have no thai basil. I searched and searched. No thai sweet basil(bai holopah) or the holy basil(bai gra prow)
Anyways the right thing to do would've been to say that we're out and recommend another dish. It's hard to keep stocked in fresh herbs given the quantities that Thai restaurants need. That's why it's critical to have a good connection with a farmer or large garden for lemongrass, thai basil, fresh chiles, Kha(galangal) etc. You can't get those things reliably from a wholesale asian foods distributor.

It was still good though just a shame they thought the khon kao(white people) wouldn't know the difference.
I'll definitely be back though to explore their menu further.

Best Thai food in Bradenton.

I have been here a few times but haven't left a review until now. The sushi (especially aroy d and spicy tuna rolls) are the best here. The pad thai is also amazing.

I had some sushi, very good. The salad with peanut dressing was really good. Wife had potstickers and lettuce wraps which were OK.

The worst I can say is they use K Krab.
Everything was great, when my wife, & I went today, veggies cooked just right, curries, & pasta dishes were excellent.
When I asked about spiciness, the waiter brought out a 4 dish spice holder, & explained each one, & what he liked best with different foods.
Great service, excellent food, will be back for more. 😋😋😋

This is high on my list of the top Thai restaurants in the Sarasota Bradenton area. The staff were very friendly and attentive, Jojo (I hope that's right) always made sure our drinks were full and our needs were met! Coco (again I hope that's right lol) made our sushi and made it with absolutely zero compromises, perfect!

We came 2 nights in a row, Saturday and Sunday, Sunday was busy around 8pm but still had no issues getting our food quickly and having great service!

Saturday I got the red curry with duck and extra bamboo, the flavor was fantastic and plenty of duck to boot! I love bamboo and they definitely delivered with alot! I also got a volcano roll, the roll was toasted and had a slight char from a torch on top, amazing!

Sunday I got the Panang curry extra spicy with scallops, they definitely delivered on flavor and spice, I'm a spice guy, my lips have to be numb and nose running, and they gave me extra red pepper on the side to ensure I got what I wanted. The scallops have to be the best ratio of scallop to price I've seen, not too little to feel they skimped out and not too much to feel like they are loosing money either. The scallops went perfect with the curry, not overpowering by any means. I also got a bradenton roll which came with 4 pieces, 2 full sized scallops fried and cut in half, great flavor and presentation!

Overall fantastic experience 2 nights in a row, every expectation was met and exceeded, I will definitely be returning many times in the future!

Which I food there is satisfactory not great but decent. I was disappointed in the sushi, as the tuna and yellowtail were both pretty far past their sell by date, and had an unpleasant aroma. Trips if you were very good. Nigiri sushi are very large, and would be a great value, if only fresh. Some of the prices are, in my opinion, a bit high. It’s possible that this is because they came from up north where everything is more expensive. Finally, I wanna end on a high note. The fried rice is outstanding, and no one should leave the restaurant without it.

my friends and I all were amazed. Very nice atmosphere, clean and the food is sensational.
I could see the owner/chef preparing every meal to order from the exposed kitchen part. She is a master chef, watching her was entertainment…….Everyone loved the food…we ordered a few appetizers then dinner and dessert!!. Everything was so good…

Favorite sushi around

Very good service. I had the tofu lomein. It was fresh and non greasy. My husband had Pad Thai which was also good. We had one sushi roll, also delicious. Can't wait to come again.

We tried Aroy D for the first time tonight, and we loved everything we ordered! The soup was nice and hot and very fresh, and my shrimp in my Thom Kha soup were cooked perfectly not over or under at all! The eel sushi bowl was very delicious, and I felt the portion of eel was very generous/well worth the price of the entrée. The crazy noodle with pork was very delicious, we loved the sauce and the noodles were perfect consistency. The dedication page in the front of the menu was touching to read, because you get to learn the history of the chef and how hard she worked to get here and how she has been cooking since a little girl in Bangkok. There is definitely love in this cooking!!! Coming from a chef myself I might add, so take my word and give this restaurant a try

Our experience was nothing short of terrible. Our waitress seemed very annoyed to be working today. Her nails were very dirty.
She got the appetizers order and never checked in with us after she delivered appetizers. 25 minutes after we had finished eating I had to stand up to order our food. When she brought out order, she didn't checked on us again for drink refills. We were very surprised to see the amount of sushi we received (we ordered 3 different rolls) by the time our dinner plate came we couldn't even taste it we were so full. The waitress finally made her appearance to check on our drinks, and noticed we weren't eating. She proceeded to ask if we wanted to go containers which we did. When she brought them up, she also brought the check. Since we were friends catching up we didn't pick up the bill right away. Our waitress came back 3 different times to NOW check on us. It is Monday night and the place wasn't busy at all. It was 7:10pm by the time i paid so it is not like we were overstaying as there was another table present. I pick up the bill and noticed there 2 orders of each sushi roll. I questioned the waitress on why she ordered 2 and she said I had marked it, she showed me the menu I marked and clearly it's an X. Then she just LAUGHED. Like, me paying for her mistake was so funny. I paid the bill because I am taking the extra food home. But I ended up spending $36 extra on food i had not ordered. I had never experienced such horrible service where they do not even acknowledge or apologize for their mistake. Food was ok. Not the best not the worst.

Perfection! Many times restaurants become “floridified” and tone down their flavors to suit the blander palates in town. Not this restaurant. The flavors and spices were done so well! The right heat was in all the dishes. Top choices were the green curry and for appetizers and were the chive dumplings. The mango and sticky rice for dessert was the icing on the cake. This is a restaurant worth a visit over and over again.

Ordered by phone for pick up. Sign on the door said “soft opening.” Got there a bit early. Front of the house was pleasant and attentive, offering me water while I waited. I watched the LADY sushi chef for a bit - very skilled! The fish at the sushi bar looked fresh and appetizing. Checked out the interior - it’s smallish but has ample seating with booths. There is, of course , a small sushi bar with decent seating. Also a full service bar with enough seating and a large tv for entertainment. Nice decor. Food came out well-packed. We ordered two Thai dishes and a cali roll. When I ordered, I was asked about the spice level I wanted in my dishes. Both were seasoned as requested. The medium was spicy enough without killing your taste buds. As one reviewer posted, the Thai dishes were AUTHENTIC, the flavors on point and ample portions. The cali roll was fresh, properly rolled, the right size and really tasty with 6 pieces. Also ordered cream cheese Rangoon. Nice appetizer with a homemade dipping sauce. As for price, it’s on par with other similar offerings in West Bradenton, but imo better quality and authenticity. Their Thai menu is extensive and ima try them all. Highly recommend this newcomer!

Went during the soft opening and though the staff was busy, they were very tentative and polite, making the experience more enjoyable. The food was very good and the menu options were fantastic. The only regret was I wish I didn't eat so much sushi so I could try their Thai menu. Def planning a second trip!!!
