Thai food, sushi bar, full bar, patio seating, craft cocktails.
Oh my! Best meal I had in Nashville. Seems like a very local spot that doesn't show up in any "best places to eat in Nashville" lists online. Thankfully, our hotel recommended this place to us.
I've been eating Thai/Asian food for decades and this Thai was great. They have a very expansive menu so you that can get everything.
I have never seen Khaoi Soi on the menu before so I branched out and tried this dish and it blew my mind. So yummy and tasty. I will definitely come back just for this dish.
The spring rolls in the coconut soup was pretty good.
The fried eggplant was excellent.
Overall, great! Amazing tasty food and good service.
The first time and the food was amazing. Our server was ok friendly but well save that for another day. However, the hostesses were very friendly and helpful. We asked to sit in the bar area, which was warm and had a good vibe with music. Didn't try any sushi this time, but it definitely will next time. All ingredients looked fresh, and the final product was presented beautifully. Give them a try, and I can't wait for my return visit.
So we come here often, I want to make that plain at the offset. The food is fantastic and it deserves the reputation it has but the service is bad. It takes years to get served. Don’t come here for lunch and expect to get out in a reasonable time period. The Bar is slow, the kitchen is slower and they only seem to have two wait staff working at any given time so service takes forever. We keep coming back because we genuinely want to like it but it take so long to even just a basic food order. I pay for two hours of parking across the street because I never expect to get out of here in less than an hour.
Bite a bit is a restaurant that provides a more upscale dining experience in a casual atmosphere where t shirts and shorts are perfectly acceptable.
The restaurant is relatively small inside with limited seating but has a huge patio out back.
I found myself planning future visits while browsing the extensive (paperless) menu. Everything sounded so good!
You can easily get a meal you won’t soon forget for less than $25 but it’s also a great place to visit if you want to indulge.
I was offered a spice scale of 1-5 for my entree and the 2 was not spicy by any means. If you want something spicy hot kick it up beyond that.
The food and service are excellent in an atmosphere that made you want to be there. I got a chuckle out of the “miso hangry” t shirts worn by the staff.
There is limited parking in front but there is another parking lot and street parking if you loop around to oakhurst drive. (And a bike rack)
Everything was awesome. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was about 80% full. We started with a ginger salad and some sushi. We then had the Ginger entree with shrimp. Maybe too much fresh ginger but there was no doubt they make everything from scratch. My daughter had basil fried rice with chicken. Excellent. I had Chicken Pho. Best I’ve had in Nashville so far. The sushi was excellent. Will definitely be coming back.

My husband and I ordered gyoza, and a couple sushi rolls. We sat at the bar. The food was amazing and fresh! We loved the subtle references to the Outer Banks area. Went on a Saturday night and sat down right away.
Love everything about it. I live 30 mins away and I'll happily drive here to get sushi. Everything was fast, staff was really nice and the food is quality and worth every penny.
Love this place!! I get pad Thai every time I go and it never disappoints! The spring rolls are also very delicious. The vibe inside is unique and the service is great! Would highly recommend!
Always a hit! Highly recommend ❤️
Yuck
My wife and I love coming here. Fantastic nashville staple.
Great food, great service. Only issue was the music too loud and you get out of there smelling like deep fried chicken. But worth it for the quality of the food.
Delicious thai food in huge portions and a great atmosphere. Bartender Austin is great and the Christmas decorations were amazing!
Love this place! Fresh and delicious, the sashimi silver is plenty of food for $24, pieces were big, thick and beautiful presentation! The atmosphere is bussin!
This is a low key spot with some of the best food in Nashville. Pad thai is best I've ever had

We got take out from Bite a Bit for the first time last night. The restaurant itself has such cool vibes, we wish we ate there. It was Thursday around 7pm and the place was loaded, but there were spaces at the bar. We ordered the basil fried rice and pad thai. Both dishes were super tasty. We both love spicy food and usually order "hot" on the thai menu. We figured we would be safe because there was also extra hot and thai hot....oh my gooodness the hot is HOT. So if you are in between spice levels try the medium. One star off for service because it does take about an hour to get your take out order which seems a lot slower than most thai places.
Food is great but every time we order take out, our order is wrong. Mainly brown rice is never substituted for white rice like we order but we still receive the up charge. Food is great but be very careful of takeout if you modify your order at all.
I had a terrible experience at this restaurant today when I brought my friends for a meal. We waited a long time at our table before the server finally came to take our order. We ordered regular beef, but the server brought us A5 Wagyu instead. When we pointed out the mistake, the server insisted, “When people say beef, we serve them Wagyu.”
To make matters worse, the bill was wrong when it was time to pay. We waited for another 5ish minutes for the right check. As expected, they charged us for the A5 Wagyu and demanded a 20% tip. When we raised the issue at the front desk and explained that we were only willing to pay for the regular beef we ordered, the front desk staff told us we could only get a refund if the server took the dish back.
Here’s the frustrating part: we had already pointed out the mistake when the dish was served, but the server refused to admit it or take it back. In the end, I paid for the Wagyu, but now I’m left wondering why I had to pay for her mistake in the first place. This situation was completely unacceptable.
I went for their Christmas cocktail and some dinner. They had beautiful decorations of and it was very cozy at the bar. The bar service was very friendly and attentive. This is my second time enjoying this place. The food is delicious and unique. A local treasure!
terrible service
The appetizers I had were so good I had to order another round for when my food actually came out LOL spring rolls are good, but that spicy edamame is out of this world!!!!! The Lychee martini (make that 2 please!) chef’s kiss! The sushi rolls I ordered were the Death Valley roll and the King Kong roll and they both were phenomenal…10/10 all around
Parking is really bad
Chill and casual. Attentive service. Hard working crew in the front and back. Rock solid neighborhood spot with different vibes in the main dining room, bar area and outside!
Absolutely love this place
Out of the way place but the food was amazing. It got very busy so go early.
Great Thai food options. Enjoyed the spice level too! Chicken wings (lemon pepper) were great.
One of my very favorite restaurants in town. I’m a creature of habit and always get Thai food when I’m here. It’s fantastic every time. Maybe next time I’ll grab some sushi!
The service is always prompt and everyone on staff is so kind. Bite a Bit is one of the few places in town I’ll eat at again and again! Highly recommend!
Favorite place in town. Order here at least twice a week. Unfortunately discovered a bad re-hire last time we picked up our food, and will not be returning.
Cozy atmosphere, fresh and tasty sushi, and savory pork jerky with sticky rice were all tops!
Food was awesome but I gave you the same amount of stars that y’all gave me shrimp in the curry 😂
Had a great time out on the patio...
The food was delicious! Yom took excellent care of us. I had the Khao Soi and it was the perfect level of spicy.
Cute little place. We sat at the little sushi bar because the other bar was crowded. I didn't like the fact that that bar had 2 parents sitting with their babies there. I didn't think kids are allowed to sit at a bar?? Food was good, drinks were just ok.
We pulled up and I was a lil skeptical of the building. Once inside it was packed. Which is usually a good sign. My girlfriend and I ordered 2 rolls a piece Rainbow Roll, King Kong Roll, Eastern Roll and Super Crunchy Roll! They were all amazing! Super fresh and delicious!!! Would definitely recommend this place to any sushi lover!!! Great food and atmosphere and service!!!!
In love ❤️❤️❤️❤️ everything is so tasty
My husband and I absolutely adore this place. We go here all the time for a sushi date night and they always have the best the best music & food. They have the best Tom Kah soup, their hot wings are amazing and the garlic edamame is insanely good. Two thumbs up for date night!
This is my new favorite Thai in town! The service is super fast and the portions are great for the price (which is really reasonable!). They get very busy, even on a Monday night when we went so get there early.
Jenny was amazing and handle our table and our different needs ! So sweet ! S/o to her and the manger ! Thank you for making my birthday great ! Drinks and donuts were my fav !
Everything is great! Austin is so friendly and I’ve always had a good experience.
อร่อยมากสุดๆ
best food, good staff, nice restaurant!
Something shady going on here
Not very friendly and sort of dark
We have some world class Thai restaurants where we live so it takes a lot to impress me but this place delivered. My ‘What The Duck’ was possibly the best duck dish I’ve ever had. Everything that we saw come out of the kitchen from sushi to curry to pho looked amazing. We are traveling and were looking forward to exploring the Nashville BBQ scene but this was so good we are already about going back! Props to the very friendly staff for not rushing us out even though we were running up against closing time.
First time trying this amazing restaurant with our new move to Nashville. This restaurant is, HANDS-DOWN the best Thai restaurant I have visited. There are soooo many options to choose from. Everything is fresh, hot, and flavorful. Please give them a try. You will not be disappointed.
My favorite place for Pho in nashville. This hidden gem has an AMAZING patio space that’s open in the warmer months. Dishes I love: Pad See Ou, Beef Pho, and the Monster sushi roll. My girlfriend and I love coming here on date night for the great food and fun local atmosphere.
A great Asian spot in East Nashville. I enjoy the food, but increasing prices have kept me from frequenting as often as I’d like. I wish they’d do a more affordable lunch menu like when they first opened.
The food here is incredible! We've only had the sushi at this place but would highly recommend. In addition, they have a good selection of Tai food as well. Definitely on our list to try next time. The only downside to this restaurant is its website. When were were placing a pickup order, it said that the food would be ready in about 20 minutes. After we placed the order, we got an email confirmation telling us that it would take a little over an hour. A bit frustrating but the food was still great!
I have only had takeout, but it is always pleasant and kind service. They always answer you questions and willing to make everything right.
Talk to Kevin
The food & cocktail were delicious & our waitress (don’t remember her name) was so nice & patient!
Found this little gem while visiting Nashville! The food is absolutely amazing and the mango margaritas were incredible! We live in myrtle beach sc and would come back just to eat here again! Absolutely amazing, you HAVE to try this place out, you won't be disappointed!
The BEST Thai in town!!!
Katie is very wonderful. The food and service were extraordinary. Highly recommend checking this place out. The best Thai and Sushi food around South Florida
An enjoyable place to eat. One of the few places you can actually get flavorful food that's as spicy as you can handle it. I would say about the only downside to the place is the service can be a bit slow at times. I don't feel like it's intentional though, more like that's just the pace of the restaurant.
The first time and the food was amazing. Our server was ok friendly but well save that for another day. However, the hostesses were very friendly and helpful. Saw one of their hilarious Instagram posts and had to hop over for a late lunch on a Sunday! Sat at the bar. We had the crispy chicken pad thai, panang curry, lychee margarita, and thai chili margarita. The flavors and portion size were admirable, delicious, just darn spot on. Pricing is similar to Hawker's BUT I will go to Bite a Bit over Hawker's any day now. Bite a Bit is so much tastier, and overall provides more value for your money. Our total bill was about $63 for the items listed. I can't wait to go back and try something else from their menu!
Went back for the second time and ordered sushi, still awesome!
Loved the food!! And we got to bring our dogs on the patio!
Worth the hour and 20 minute drive it takes us to get here. Dragon ball appetizer is GREAT!

Probably the best quality sushi I've had in Nashville. Food is always good. Quite busy so be prepared to sit at the bar due to limited seating in the bar area.
Also be prepared to spend over $100 if ordering alcoholic drinks for two people.
Bite A Bit: A Delicious Dilemma (#EastNashvilleEats #WorthTheSplurge)
Bite A Bit in East Nashville is a foodie's dream come true . It's a two-in-one haven, offering both mouthwatering Thai cuisine and delectable sushi. The appetizers are a party in themselves – from the crispy calamari to the addictive BAB wings with their lemon and serrano pepper zing, you'll be fighting the urge to share (especially those spring rolls! ). Sharing, however, is perfect for the Tom Kha soup, a fragrant and flavorful must-try.
The sushi selection is equally impressive, with each roll sounding more tempting than the last. My personal favorite? The Long Hunter Roll – a symphony of salmon, crab, jalapeño, and cream cheese, all deep-fried to perfection and drizzled with sweet chili sauce.
My only drawback: Bite A Bit can be a bit of a splurge. While the food is undeniably delicious, the prices can be unpredictable. For me, it's a place best enjoyed for special occasions or when you're ready to indulge a bit.
In short:
l Pros: Incredible Thai and sushi options, amazing appetizers, delicious cocktails and beers, perfect for sharing.
l Cons: Prices aren't always accurate and can be on the high side.
Overall: Despite the price hiccup, Bite A Bit is absolutely worth a visit. Just be prepared to fall in love with the food (and maybe plan your budget accordingly). You won't be disappointed!
We got takeout from here & both got different curries & they both had absolutely no flavor. Not to mention the $13 crab rangoons that were actually the only good thing we got but their prices on everything are way too steep for what it is. Fresh rolls were also not at all impressive. Disappointed because i’ve been here many times & dine-in is def better for sushi but their thai overall needs a lot of work. I want to like this place cuz it’s adorable but it just sucks. Not to mention everyone who works there is also quite rude & standoffish.
Food was good. When they say choose a spice level, please be advised. I got 3 and it was very spicy. Choose 1 or 2 if you don't want too much. My boyfriend got sushi and I got lo mein with chicken. We also got the tuna jalapeño bombs and wonton soup. It's a good restaurant. Only thing I don't like is that since it was just 2 of us we couldn't make a reservation. So we had to sit at the sushi bar.
Also the tea wasn't good.
Best sushi in Nashville hands down. The bit noodles were also incredible.
So happy we found this spot, and it's close to home. My wife loves Thai, and I love sushi (thus why I only took photos of sushi rolls....oops!), so this was a perfect compromise.
The sushi was pretty good! The fish tasted fresh and has great flavor. I ordered the spicy yellowtsil roll and the Heart Attack. Definitely enough for one person. My wife ordered Crispy Chicken Pad See Ew and said it was great. There's many more selections we can't wait to try.
Bite a Bit Thai Sushi is special
One of a kind places
Very good and authentic. Will be going back and def reccomend.
My absolute favorite Thai, the food is always fresh, hot and delicious. Basil Fried Rice, Green and Red Curries are fantastic. Service is good and the staff is very friendly. I don't do sushi but my wife and daughter do, the presentation is exceptional. Highly recommend.
Did a Google Assistant dinner reservation for 10 for my bf’s bday. Super easy! Everyone was super accommodating at Bite a Bit. The host gave us options on where to sit and set up our tables quickly at arrival. The back outdoor area was perfect for the spring weather and a little more quiet (😅although we probably were a bit loud). Our server made sure my bf was given special bday attention which was great! Refreshing cocktail choices and delicious food. The gyoza was fresh and crispy and the satay chicken was well-marinated w/yummy peanut sauce. Their spicy crab and cucumber roll was perfect. My bf enjoyed the generous portion of chicken basil stir fry. We’ve been here a few times since they opened and they never disappoint. Great experience!
Everything about this restaurant is 5 stars. There are no words for how good it is. I wish we had this place in Pittsburgh, PA.
Such a great atmosphere and food was phenomenal.
Man this place was BUSY for dinner ! Sushi was fresh but the rolls are definitely a fusion style. They do have traditional rolls but I would highly recommend getting out of your comfort zone and trying a mix.
This was one of the restaurants you leave thinking “that was one of the best places I’ve ever eaten at”! The food was amazing!! Our party had the miso soup, coconut mussels, sashimi assortment, sushi roll, and Super Bowl Pho, and mango sticky rice! I can’t wait to go back and bring more friends!!
Ordered fried rice with scallops heat level 2. Scallops were tough (overcooked). Had fried rice with shrimp the week before heat level 1. The shrimp were overcooked also and the difference between heat levels 1 & 2 was so considerable couldn't eat but a couple bites of rice. AND it took forever!
We enjoyed the Monster Roll and the Chicken Lo Mein! They were both so fresh and delicious. All of the staff was so friendly even though we went on a saturday night and they were absolutely slammed. The cocktails were perfect as well. I recommend the Thai Coffee Martini but that’s just me :) the only dislike i had was that the music was overly loud for my taste. It was hard for me and my partner to have a conversation because of how loud it was. I would do pickup just to have the food again!
Get the Khao Soi. I love it! The Dragon Ball app is great too!
This is such an awesome place! Service is unbelievable! Birdy was our amazing server! She said she is always here! We were greeted, guided through the menu, and actually took the recommendations! One of, if not the best dining experiences we have had! Great music, atmosphere, and way surpassed any expectations! Thank you all for the awesome food and service!
It was a very pleasant experience, land our server was excellent 👌
We saw the IG post about Bite a Bit and when we went it exceeded our expectations. Our server was so attentive. We ordered the miso soup, flank steak satay, basil fried rice with shrimp and the pad kee mao with beef. Everything came out fresh and tasty.
The peanut sauce for the flank steak satay was one of the best sauces. We were really impressed and will definitely be back again.
Phenomenal.
This was some of the best Thai food/fusion with sushi that we’ve had in a long time! We had to wait a bit for a table, but they kept us updated. The food was fast after ordering, we didn’t get checked on much after having food, but otherwise it was great! Everything we ordered was very fresh and tasty and SOOO reasonable in price compared to other places we had visited in Nashville! Def will return when we visit again!
This was one of the best sushi places I have ever tried! The fish was so fresh and so delicious. I also tried my mom’s red curry, and it was amazing!! I would highly reccomend!!
One of my favorite places for good Thai food and sushi in Nashville. Staff is friendly and courteous. They have a good variety of sushi. The cocktails are pretty tasty as well. Only downside is that parking is limited around the restaurant.
Food and drinks are excellent, and my friend and I didn’t spend a long time waiting at all. Menu is fairly priced. My only complaint is location and capacity and feeling rushed because of it. There isn’t a super big parking lot and the restaurant itself is pretty small. My friend and I were finishing our drinks after we had paid the check (literally 5-10 minutes we stayed) and one of the bus boys was literally standing 2 feet away waiting for us to get up so he could wipe down our table. I’ve been a server and I understand wanting to flip tables, but etiquette wise it’s not a great customer experience when they feel they’re being rushed to leave, especially when they still have a drink or food. I would definitely go here again, but would maybe sit at the small bar top to avoid feeling rushed to leave. We had edamame and avocado rolls for an app, I got chicken pho and added tofu, side of fried rice, and give me a chance cocktail. Everything tasted phenomenal
Music is always too loud. The sushi is fantastic.
Chicken curry had bones and grissile. I couldn't eat it. To their credit they took it off the bill.
a good place
The Khaow Soi is out of this world... still dreaming of it.
We decided on this restaurant after reading reviews and it didn’t disappoint. The service was great. We ordered sushi and it was delicious. Despite it being busy the wait time for the food was normal. We enjoyed and will be back!
Great food and cocktails!
We’ve tried this place a couple times now (it’s nearby) both dine in and take out and as vegetarians it’s really frustrating. The dishes on the menu are not marked vegetarian or vegan and dishes that don’t typically include fish sauce (or at least not enough to notice) are overpowered by it. (Specifically the pad see ew, which is usually a soy sauce base, with maybe a bit of oyster sauce was quite fishy.) Really disappointing because we want to like this place. It’s a decent dine-in experience, though the servers were not able to be super helpful with the vegetarian options. If they would just mark the menu for vegetarians that would go a long way.
P good !
Very cool place and the food is awesome!!!
Great food and awesome atmosphere!
The crispy chicken Pad Thai was some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Very, very good food and very friendly service. If you’re in the area this is a great place to eat.
Unbelievable sushi. My favorite spot in Nashville for Thai and sushi. Highly recommend
Wonderful A bit noodles and sushi
Nice Thai food and sushi. Amazing value for the quality
1 hour and 10 minutes wait for 2 rolls and crab Rangoons. It’s a pick up order for myself. I’ll pass, tell me your located in east Nashville without saying it lol.
Food was ok. I got a crunchy crab roll. Looked pretty, but it was just eh. Service sucked. Our waitress was the only one on, but there was only one table with about five people. Had to wait forever for everything. My food came first, so I had to wait for my wife to get her meal before I could eat or I would have finished long before she even got her food. Everytime I'd look around for the server, she was absent. I understand you have things to do, but shouldn't the paying customer be the focus?
The vibe is 10/10, the food 10/10 and we tried a bunch of stuff. Maki, Nigiri, Curry, Spring Roll. We could not decide what we liked better because it was all insane. When you look at the sushi chef and he just smiles back because he KNOWS he IS HIM. Spice level is definitely geared towards westerners (white people), so if you like it hot, go for 5/5 spice level.. We got the bill and I thought it was a mistake.. for the experience we had I could not believe how affordable this was.
I was looking forward to eating here all week. Upon sitting down the atmosphere was nice and fun. That’s when it goes downhill. It took me 15 minutes to get a drink upon ordering it. I ordered a grey goose martini and it was not as good as it should’ve been. Idk if it was watered down or a cheaper vodka in the bottle. I ordered a $13 glass of wine and the bartender poured a very small glass of it that was barely 6 ounces or less! It was highway robbery! I spoke up and asked if this small amount was really $13, bc there were normal sized wine glasses available. She said it was, which I still didn’t believe, and then it wasn’t even good wine at all. It didn’t seem that busy and it took half an hour at least to get my food. The service between the bartender and getting my food was awful. It was not a good experience and I don’t plan on going back.
The atmosphere and food are exceptional. The parking is a bit of a challenge, so give yourself some extra time. I look forward to going again
Great place for sushi and definitely treat yourself to Unfiltered cold sake!
Food is incredible. Like really good. Service is hit or miss. Last time I was there service was awful but every other time it’s been ok to decent. We’ve been about 4-5 times and never great service. But seriously the food is on point. It’s a little pricey and if the service was more leaning toward excellent I’d feel better about the price.
But all in all I’ll be back and hopefully the service will take a step up.
Bite a Lot is more like it! This is easily a new favorite spot in East Nashville. We shared dragon balls, gyoza, Apollo roll, seaweed salad, Edamame, and pad see ew. The pad see ew (beef) was so good we couldn’t stop eating. Two of us split all of this and could’ve easily had a third and would’ve had more than enough food between us. The service was on point and food came out very quickly. We loved the vibe of this place. The rolls are large so be prepared. Give it a try you will have a new favorite!
Wow. Treat yourself. Awesome 👍 Thai food. Thanks for the memories
Absolutely delicious food. We’ve been here twice now and were amazed with all the food both times. We’ve had the Pad Se Ew, Pad Eggplant, Fried Rice, some sushi rolls and a few apps. Lots of gluten free options too, just need to ask/verify.
First time visiting, and I definitely would come back again. Everything tasted great. Loved the atmosphere as well
Great food. Sometimes Togo orders take way longer than expected.
I really like this place. The east side of nashville has been missing a solid Thai and sushi restaurant. Bite a Bit has managed to combine both rather successfully.
The food is delicious. I’ve been twice, the first time to get sushi (which I forgot to get photos of) and the second time branched out to the rest of the menu. The sushi was so very good. Based on everything I’ve seen come out of the kitchen, I think it’s safe to say that everything on their menu is good. It’s just deciding what you want to eat.
The service is pretty good. I only gave it a 4 star because it does seem to take quite a while to get food when they get busy. The kitchen is rather small for the size of the place, and they have plenty of take out orders. This isn’t necessarily a downside, but a recommendation to not go here if you are in a rush. Sit down and enjoy the random street food videos on the TV. Or talk to whoever you’re with, if that’s something you like to do.
The atmosphere is quaint. Not perfectly cozy but it is very enjoyable. It’s a nice spot to have in this part of East Nashville.
Now, all that being said, it is on the pricey side. It’s not downtown nashville or trendy new spot pricey. But it does seem to be the norm for most new restaurants.
For 2 people, expect to pay at least $50 with tax and tip.
