Contemporary tavern featuring Japanese, Thai & Asian fusion fare & sushi, plus a full bar.
Visited Nashville for the first time this past weekend for a girlfriend’s reunion - wanted a hearty warm meal (after snacking and drinking for a couple of days) on my way to the airport. Google searched for vegan options and found The Eastern Peak which did not disappoint. Great friendly service, and a clean, inviting atmosphere. Enjoyed the lettuce wraps tofu option and the Thai fried rice (no egg) with tofu. Both very delicious and the solid protein kick I needed! I was the first customer of the day but by the time I left it was a fairly full place (families, friends). I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great place not in the crazy downtown Nashville area.
"AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS!
I'm still trying to process the utterly disappointing and unfair treatment I received from the management and service staff at this specific location. The experience was nothing short of appalling.
What's even more shocking is that I've been a loyal customer to this establishment for years, visiting thousands of times without ever experiencing such horrific service. But today was a completely different story.
The new manager, who claimed to have been recently hired, seemed completely clueless about customer service. He was more interested in defending his staff's incompetence than resolving our issues.
To make matters worse, the only employee who tried to stand up for us and apologize for the poor service was reprimanded by the manager and her coworker. It was clear that this employee was the only one who still had some integrity and compassion.
I would never set foot in this establishment again, and I would strongly advise others to steer clear. If you value being treated with dignity and respect, DO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION.
One star is even too generous for this place. Shame on the management and staff for failing to provide even the most basic level of customer service.
I recently checked out The Eastern Peak on Thompson Lane, and it was awesome! The place has such a cozy and elegant vibe with beautiful hanging lamps and plants everywhere. The staff were super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was fresh and tasty, and their happy hour deals are definitely worth it. Highly recommend giving it a try!
Had a family lunch today for our son’s birthday. First time visiting. Unassuming locale tucked into a small shopping mall on Thompson lane. But so good! Nice, cool vibe on the inside. Great service, very friendly. Food was very tasty. We had several dishes and a sushi roll roll.
Recommend coming to this location for really good Asian food! While service wasn’t great, the food definitely stole the show. My wife and I can’t wait to go back soon! Look below to see what we got:
Appetizer: Vegetarian Spring Rolls & Sushi (Avocado, Cream Cheese, Cucumber)
Entrees: Steak Lo Mein (Medium Rare & Level 2), Tom Yum Fried Rice (Level 2), & Vegetarian Drunken Noodles (Level 2)
Drinks: Soda
It's definitely a fusion type of place for sure! Decor is gorgeous. I ordered the lunch special of 2 rolls for $16. Food came quickly. Salmon roll did have some kind of non traditional green onion sauce inside (fish sauce?) Which was unexpected, but it was delicious none the less. Really liked the crunch of the crunch roll too. I would come back here again.
First, I never give 5 stars. Emily was our server, and she was on point. Love her.
We tasted Pad Thai, basil rice, spring rolls, and soup. Tom something.
Every dish was delicious! Plenty of parking, too.
Great Thai joint just outside the city. I live in the gulch but hate the wait times for all restaurants in the lower broadway and gulch areas. Eastern Peak has tough parking but it’s never so busy that you have to wait for long. The food is bomb AF the service is great and the staff is knowledgeable. Only small complaint is that the tables are very close and not much privacy. That’s literally all I can say that’s not great! My favorite spot lately, food prices are low, portions are large and an uber from home and back is usually less than 20 dollars round trip. Well run spot, wish they had more locations.
Knew I should’ve stopped eating the chicken fried rice when I noticed the bottom of it was watery….. haven’t left my bathroom since
Muy bonito lugar 😊
Great food, expansive menu, and good options for kids. Parking lot is small and tight, but overall great experience.
Excellent food and service. Sushi, spring rolls, and drunken noodles are amazing!!!
I ordered UberEats here last night. I don't really know how it's possible to mess up something as simple as the ground chicken Thai basil stir fry, but it was awful. I didn't eat at all today so I forced myself to eat my leftovers and they were just as bad as yesterday. The wok fried edamame was good, but I can't overlook how bad the Thai ended up. I really regret spending my money on this place.
Had dinner here before Zoolumination. It was great! The orange chicken was outstanding and just what I was looking for!
Great service and wonderful food!!!
The lettuce wraps and basil fried rice here are some of my favorite meals period, absolute bangers.
Gotta say I was disappointed with the chicken dumpling soup. For a kitchen that serves delicious food consistently, this dish feels out of place. It was like Birds Eye chili and cilantro in hot water. A little salt or even lime would’ve helped. The (three) dumplings were fine.Maybe they ran out of broth and had to substitute, I don’t know, but I felt cheated after paying $7.80 for 10oz.
That said, if you avoid the soup you’ll eat very well here. Everything else is flavorful and well portioned.
*and most dishes are allergy-flexible, they even go out of their way to have gluten free brown sauce options which isn’t always the case with asian cuisine.
Finally gotta shout out the to-go team, it’s always packaged beautifully with no spills, smears, or leaks.
Delicious food! It was on the low end of the spice scale even at a 3/5. Next time I’ll order it spicier. Way nicer place than I was expecting when I drove up.
Food was good. Parking area is really small for what seemed to be a popular place.
December 14/2024 friday night. Worst pad thai I have ever had.I do not think it was fresh.Made me sick with diarrhea. I cannot recommend this place :-(
Great place, delicious food!
Tom Kha was a bit lime heavy..not quite balanced for me.. The family enjoyed the appetizers, sushi, fried rice, and other entrée we ordered.

Wonderful he's not going to 👌

USMC veteran stationed in Okinawa, I've been searching for Japanese curry like COCO ICHIBANYA in the states for years! The Manager literally asked me to see it and went to the back to the kitchen and made it happen! Minimum effort and the service was quick! Reminds me of so many good times I am truly so happy 😊 bonus points for being the only joint in Tennessee serving my favorite bourbon 🙌
We had the drunken noodles and the pad thai. Food was good but could have had more flavor. We had delivered and they forgot my spring rolls.
Door dashed it.
Red curry and pad Thai had No flavor and small portions. Probably won’t even eat the Pad Thai.
1st and last time. So many better options than this
Always heard about it but never visited. Brought coworkers from out of town and they loved it.
Great Food and Service
Great spot for a casual meal. Better experience if you eat there, I have had a few missing items on to go orders. Would still highly recommend though!
I had the Dragon Roll and Spicy Fried Rice... fantastic. The calamari was also amazing.
waiting long
My sushi was delivered in a box 2”x3” Super small portion of food for the money I paid
Love!
I sometimes do lunch at this location. The waiters are absolutely great and so friendly. This is a great place to eat.
The food was great.

Great place for Sushi. Will be going regularly.
Great atmosphere and the service is great. The food comes out quickly steaming hot. This is a routine place for us.
Best Thai food in Nashville by far. Though the food is amazing the people there make it special. We have always frequented the gulch location but sadly its no longer open. We decided to try out Thompson Station and we are glad we did. The server Terra was so sweet and accommodating. She made us feel very welcome and assured us our allergy requests would not be a problem. The food came out so fast and was all spectacular. The manager came by to check in and I was surprised to see he was the gulch location manager. We had a good conversation as always and a bit of fun. Favorite new spot in Nashville
Amazing Food, Good Drinks💯
Great sushi and sashimi...but ..I don't know why it is...all Tennessee sushi is served with octopus.
Why?
We came here for lunch and it was good. Service was great and we got our food pretty quickly too
We came in on a Sunday evening during a down pour. The kitchen was swamped with take away orders for Uber, etc.
We sat at the bar and asked for the Tennessee north Carolina ncaa world series game. Yep, we were those people, lol.
Bartender had called out sick. Yet........ through all of this, we had one of the best meals, service, and times in a while. Thank you to the staff and kitchen there. A+
One of the best Thai restaurants in Nashville area
I thought it a nice thing that they bring a carafe of water to the table, but now I know it is because you'll only get your soft drink refilled once during your visit. Other than that and the fact the manager makes his obligatory round through the dining room with his head down and/or in his phone, the sushi is done well and the server was friendly when we finally got her attention.
This place rocks! Was here the other night with some friends and the food was awesome! Soooo many sushi options, but our server Phil help us narrow it down with some of his favs. The spicy edamame was awesome too. Everything was delicious, super quick, and clean. Will definitely be going back again :)
Nice place and good service
One of the best dining experiences I’ve had while living in Nashville
I recently visited this location for my girlfriend's birthday on a Monday night, and it was fantastic. Highly recommended. Great options for entres and excellent sushi as well.
Long story short we ordered their amazing food for my son while he was in the hospital, one dish did not meet our expectations, i called the restaurant in hopes we could get a replacement next time we were in. Y’all when the manager (Trevor) heard my son was in the hospital he insisted on delivering a fresh entree, I tried to say no but he wasn’t having it. He was there lightning fast and I am in awe by the amazing customer service on a friday night when they were slammed! They are five star all the way around. Thanks Trevor!!!!
I do not understand the good ratings for this place the food is awful. I travel a lot and this place by far is the worst food period. The service was okay the food came out wrong but it didn’t matter because it was awful. I couldn’t eat any of it and had to pay for nothing not to mention the flies everywhere.
This was some of the best food I've ever eaten. The fried sampler was excellent, especially the spring rolls and crab rangoon. Grispy not greasy. I can't stop thinking about it. The tom kha soup was basic, basically delicious!!! If i could bottle it up and take the whole restaurant to memphis, i would. The price point for the quality is not to be believed. I had a hard time finding the entrance from the street, but that was the only negative. Food was just under $30, drink was $10.
Visita obligatoria ❗
Great Staff, & Service !!
Great food - however a bit on the mild side. The pad thai had great texture and flavor but we got chicken pad thai and there was quite a bit of tofu throughout. The sushi rolls were good, not amazing, and we never got our spring rolls or gyoza.
Recommend coming to this location for really good Asian food! While service wasn’t great, the food definitely stole the show. My wife and I can’t wait to go back soon! Look below to see what we got:

Awesome service and food.
The people here are always super nice. The Thai Fried rice is so good. I get the shrimp and my daughter gets the chicken with no vegetables. The sushi is also good. I'm the only one thay likes sushi, but I've had the yellow tail Nagiri which is my fav. But I also get the sampler. The Rangoons are good too. Everything is always brought out hot. The Jasmine tea is good as well. We always come back especially on door dash for when we don't want to get dressed lol
My first time at this place, I ordered take out, picked up my order, but didn't check my oders at the restaurant come to find out they forgot to give me white rice, it was suposed to be two orders of white rice and also they didn't give me any utensils with my orders..I have to eat my food without the white with my hand like I'm in the third world country...very disappointed wth your restaurant and I will not come back.
Food was fast, hot and delicious. Always quality.
Had a plate with a chicken breast and it was raw... Other than that, the food was good.
This place is mids. About 10 years ago this spot was owned by a nice family, but some chain that has multiple locations bought it. They have very little hospitality. The service is not very good and the food is lackluster. They don’t have traditional dishes and pride themselves on being a fusion place. In addition I have placed orders because I work near by, and they have started saying they won’t take my to go because I won’t give them my credit card over the phone and they charge an absurd amount for online orders and the price is already too high for the food. literally will not let me pay cash for a $16 order.
Used to love ordering from here because the food was routinely great. The past three times that we have ordered from here my lo mein has been made with spaghetti noodles. The taste has been significantly different than in the past and it’s very disappointing.
Best red curry I’ve ever had. Really delicious food.
Very good food and service, great price
Loved my dish, although it was labeled spicy hot, but it was not.
The hostess was a little rude but the food was delicious
Awesome food and awesome service. Pad Thai is amazing as well as their sushi rolls. Me and my wife eat here at least twice a month for date nights. They also have a very classy setup
This is the best asian/thai restaurant in Nashville. Hands down nothing can beat them. We eat lunch here usually one time per week with a group of six and it never gets old. Extensive menu with lots of options to satisfy the masses. The food is always super speedy and the portions are satisfying without dragging you down for the rest of the day. It gets very busy but we never wait more than 10 minutes or so for a table even with our larger group. I highly recommend the drunken noodles as well as the spicy crab roll. I am getting hungry now just thinking about it.
The server was very nice. However, the food was below average
The soup came cold so we had to request a new one.
I’ll start by saying that I went during lunch. I’m assuming lunch has a different staff than dinner.
Service was the absolute WORST. I met my friend here for lunch and after water was dropped off the waitress took at least 25 mins to come back to take our order and that was only because she caught us staring at her. Once she walked over she said “you must be ready to order?” OF COURSE!!
Secondly, my friend ordered an appetizer of spring rolls 10 mins before I walked in. It took almost 35 mins for that to arrive. We figured she forgot to put it in just as she forgot to come take our lunch order.
Next…I asked the host for a high chair and the chair was FILTHY. I’m positive it hasn’t been cleaned the entire week which is completely unsanitary.
Our food finally came back almost an hour of being here we were both unsatisfied. My sushi roll had cream cheese extremely cold and thick. It’s like they took it out of a freezer and put it straight in the roll instead of letting thaw some. The lady didn’t bring any soy sauce or ask if we needed anything.
Lastly, a guy walked out extremely pissed off. He was there before us and almost everyone else in the restaurant at this point and once he noticed we had received our food he told the waitress how it was completely unacceptable and stormed out. I don’t blame him one bit bc two separate tables that walked in after us received their food. The waitress was extremely insensitive and did not care one bit.
Again I’ll reiterate this was during lunch. I’ve went for dinner and it was incredible but today was some of the worst service of my life on top of the nasty high chair. Will not return because of this. The waitress working needs more training or to be taken off the floor.
I can’t keep calm! Let’s just say, I hadn’t found my favorite place to have Asian (fusion) food in Nashville…. Until now! I didn’t have high expectations going in but was completely blown away by my experience there.
They have an elaborate menu and usually when that’s the case, you have to know what to order at certain places. But everything we ordered here (party of 8) was great. I really enjoyed Basil Fried Rice with Chicken and Pad Thai with Tofu. Green Curry was good too. Everything was so flavorful. Don’t go by how the dishes look, they taste scrumptious.
Their staff elicits a section of its own in this review because they were not just friendly but also accommodating, warm, understanding and generous with us. We initially were just 2 at the bar, then moved to a table of 4, when a friend decided to join. Then, moved to a table of 8, when more people decided to join us. They accommodated our ever changing requests without any fuss. Everyone’s food was served but one of my friends’ and our server said it was slightly burnt so they are making it again - which shows their quality assurance is good even before the food makes it to the table and gets sent back. We had a hard deadline as we were going to watch a movie afterwards at Regal nearby, so when we were about to leave and her food was still not there, we asked them to cancel the order as we requested checks for everyone. By that time, they had already prepared the food so he gave her that in to-go box anyway to eat after the movie — which was very sweet.
They have plenty of parking at this location unlike their gulch location and it’s very convenient and easy to find parking. I’m absolutely ecstatic to have found them.
It’s my new go-to spot for Asian cuisine!!
This place was an unexpected find. We were driving around looking for a place to eat and saw this lovely restaurant. Food and service were fantastic prices are reasonable and they have a lovely happy hour menu. Highly recommended!
I used to love Eastern Peak (one of my favorite Thai restaurants), but I visited for lunch this past week and tried a chicken Thai fried rice dish that gave me really extreme food poisoning for the entire weekend. I thought I would need the ER at one point. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to go back. I’m positive my illness came from the food there, as I didn’t eat at another establishment in the days before or afterward. I really hope they give their food safety procedures a good audit.
Ordered food. My salads is literally frozen. Didn't even open the box to look at it I guess. And my chicken is super smokey. And it shouldn't be. Idk what they are on up there. This place used to be good.
Very good all around. Next time we’re in town we’ll def be back.
Food was amazing the location is kind of tricky though.
Always friendly, fast service, good food.
Their Tom kha Gai soup is delicious. Great flavor. The tuna tataki was also very good but it was a small portion. Smaller than some other places I’ve been. The drunken noodles was also delicious! I couldn’t eat it all but I sure wanted to. Amazing flavor.
My miso salmon didn't have enough of the miso sauce there so I don't know if that was the same cook or not but I need the cook or Cooks to put a little more pride in making the dishes on the menu cause I know the food is great but this time it was ok
Very nice place. Great customer service. Haley was so pleasant, and patient.
Excellent food. Excellent service.
Ok
The food is consistently delicious, but there are issues. First, we order from here regularly. We really do enjoy the food. The problem is that our order is missing food most of the time, and we don’t have the time or energy (we have little kids) to go back and correct it. Stir fry entrees are normally missing the rice, sides are often missing, etc. Also, some portion sizes are not enough to be filling, especially for the price. The vegetarian delight is delicious but only enough to feed my 4 year-old and for $14. I recommend going in person for those who are able, as the food really is so yummy.
Nicer place with ok sushi and pretty good kitchen entrees.
Amazing service. Our guy was hustling. Great sushi. Cool spot. Fair priced sushi. Will be back!
One one server for the restraunt and she is also the bar tender.
The best Ginger dressing in Nashville
Loved this place! Been hearing a lot of good things about it so finally decided to give it a try & was not disappointed. Really great service & the food was amazing. Will definitely be back soon.👍🏼
Always Quick and delicious
Great food amazing service
It's definitely a fusion type of place for sure! Decor is gorgeous. I ordered the lunch special of 2 rolls for $16. Food came quickly. Salmon roll did have some kind of non traditional green onion sauce inside (fish sauce?) Which was unexpected, but it was delicious none the less. Really liked the crunch of the crunch roll too. I would come back here again.
My partner and I came it when it was relatively empty and sat at the bar. From beginning to end, the service was excellent! The food was absolutely amazing, especially the Tom Kha and the Wonton soups. Some of the best larb I've had. I really appreciate getting actual lvl 5 Thai Hot when requested. The Crab Fried Rice is to die for! The spicy garlic edamame was cooked perfectly, and the sushi was fresh and insanely good. Would definitely recommend!!!
Went in to buy a $100 gift certificate
$110 because of the “service charge”
No thank you. There’s plenty of restaurants in this city.
I only order takeout. This was my go to Thai. THEN First they remove the green curry fried rice, and the next thing they did was limit your ability to put add INs to your dish. There was never enough vegetables, so I would always add some ANYWAY I'm out out!
Absolutely delicious. Was my first time trying Pad Thai and it is my new favorite dish 😍
Love the food
I went with a colleague after work for an early dinner and drink. The space is quiet and impersonal. Ambiance and decor feel like an afterthought.
The service was very quick and responsive, polite and not pushy. I never felt rushed.
The food was outstanding. I had beef in green curry and it was so incredibly flavorful without being overly salty. Spring rolls were served first and were very hot and fresh and crispy.
Will absolutely go again. Might not be a place to take a date, but it is an incredible place to date your appetite.
I’m changing my review as they made things right, thank you.
Good Asian food! I liked it.
First time here, Can't believe I waited so long to give this a try. Absolutely delicious, I will definitely be back soon.
Went here while in town for the GP. The food and service were so great! Server was kind and bussed the table over the courses and so we weren’t collecting plates. The food. We started with the Miso soup and Sushi (Tsunami roll in pic). Both were downed so quick and I found myself looking reluctantly at my plate when done. Ordered the seafood lo mein. So good! The vibe of the place was great and the seating good. Got some Tiramisu to go and about to demolish that. Highly recommend and thank you for the experience here :)
Food was fantastic as usual. The server did not write our order down and came back 3x to ask what we had. I have managed a steak house for 15 years and this is a huge pet peave.
Went for lunch for a business meeting. Plenty of seats in the back but we were told to stand outside in the rain. Not good service. Not any way to treat people.
Outstandingly Delicious!!
Service is awesome and the duck curry is amazing!
Forcing a service fee for takeout orders is a faceless practice. Specially 10% without the option to adjust it. Food is good.
This is a great place - everything I’ve ever had here is wonderful!
Yummy! I got the TNT roll (spicy salmon and crab sushi) and crab fried rice. Simply delicious, fast and attentive service tucked in a modern spot on Thompson Lane.
Place was great really, had the Japanese Curry with a pork cutlet. Was very tasty and did remind me of an authentic Japanese curry. Will definitely return.
Food was what I have come to expect from The Eastern Peak, good but not over the top. The day I visited I think they may have had an issue with the AC or it was just not set at an appropriate temp, felt rather warm in the dining area…
The sesame chicken was awesome!
We just called to put in a To Go order and they charge 10% service fee AND at the end they asked us if we want to leave a tip.
Are you kidding me?!?! Really low class of them. There’s lots of better Thai places that don’t charge service fees and don’t have the audacity to ask for a tip also for a to go order. Their food doesn’t even taste like authentic Thai food. See below the picture of pad Thai with chicken that was $15.
Best service!!! Best food !!! Natasia was our server, awesome,
5 star service
Today June 15th 2023
The sushi is inedible. Extremely fishy tasting. Either cheap fish or old fish. Definitely steer clear from this place. I have no idea how they have high stars. Maybe they pay a company to keep rating them, idk.
Talked to the manager and she is RUDE and extremely unpleasant. Didn’t care to listen about the complaint.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!
Excellent Thai food. You order how spicy you want it.
Crab fried rice is to die for.
Very nice and tasty Thai/Asian cuisine, great spot for lunch
