Lunch or dinner? Your dining experience with family and friends at Koi Sushi & Thai is sure to be a memorable one. We have a family friendly atmosphere with light music and attentive staff. We offer sushi bar seating where you can watch your sushi being prepared.
I go to the Midtown location probably once every week and a half on average. The staff, food, and consistency are what keeps me coming back. My photos are from several visits over the last month. Pictured are the Massaman Curry with shrimp and the Shrimp Pad Thai. Those are my two main favorites but I have had plenty of other dishes over the years but I always come back to one of those. The sushi is excellent, the bartender is a cool guy and I like that everyone knows me, including my name! It's my favorite place to go for Thai food in town, for sure. Plus, free parking 🅿️ is a Nashville "luxury" and cannot be beat.
I would not suggest coming here if you enjoy Thai Japanese food. My utensils had food on them, I asked for Thai tea with no ice no boba and I got a cup full of ice and very little tea and when I asked for them to redo it the gave me a half full cup. The Japanese ginger salad dressing didn't taste right at all it's was bland. The pad Thai was lacking as well and I needed 3 limes to give it better flavor. I've been to Japan and Thailand but this was sad. Ive eaten places stateside and never had this issue.
We were visiting from out of town and man I wish they could start a Koi in NC!! The waitresses were fabulous and the food was spectacular!! Freshest tasting sushi I have had in a long time!! Delicious spring rolls!!
Glasses left empty for long periods of time. Missing parts of meal. Missing drinks ordered with meal.
Everything about the restaurant was great. Food arrived quickly and the ambiance added to the experience.
Pad Thai was great, it was pretty dark in there for lunch time but 5/5 on food and service!
Ordered salmon teriyaki to-go. The size of the salmon that I got was a fourth the size of my fist. It wouldn’t be enough to feed a toddler. Overpriced and not worth
Have been to two of their locations and both have great Tai dishes and service is wonderful.

Best Thai food I've had in a long time.
Food was okay. Ordered chicken satay, panang curry and miso soup. They taste so bland, missing the authentic thai flavor, satay would have been better didn’t taste good.
Enjoyed the sushi
Amazing dinner. Top 5 green curries ever. Can pick your spice level as well which is nice. Garlic edamame, gyoza and lettuce wraps all excellent appetizers. Pad Thai was delicious as well. Definitely will return when we're back in this area!
I love this place. I asked for a noodle dish without any added sugar and extra spice and that’s what they did. Delicious.

This is good food and service
I enjoyed my order(drunken noodle) that flavor and spicy were just right. My husband ordered fried rice and it was good too.
Favorite spot in Nashville. Awesome staff. Dream and Liza are excellent
Great, quick food with an awesome happy hour! We like this location best in Nashville! Free 2 hours of parking in garage behind it for dine in customers.
Had mook as a server and she is absolutely the best. Kind friendly and knows the menu drinks stayed full extremely pleasant
I got the spicy miso at it was delicious
This place is fine but it's definitely not as good as the Koi on Main Street in Downtown Nashville.
Some of the best Thai food I have had. I would definitely recommend this place
This sushi was so yummy and they even have really cute bowls they put it in. They also validate your parking.
Good place, great food, very good service. Love this place.
Exceptional food and drinks! $4 sangria and $6 bloody Mary for happy hour were so yummy. We had edamamie with garlic sauce, hot and sour soup, spicy pad thai and chicken lo mein. All was amazing! The waitress was attentive and friendly.
Not packed, very good place for sushi
What is the deal with restaurants in Nashville pretending like they don’t have club soda on tap then charging $4 for Pierrier. You expect me to believe you open a Pierrier every time you make a mixed drink. I expect better customer service for a $100 dinner.
This place is the best! Fresh fish and and the food is amazing! I never cared for sushi until I came to Koi! He also has a location is Brentwood called Bluefin. Both of these locations are awesome! Never disappoints!
I get food, food come out, I eat, good, I leave
I went here with friends… none of us had been here before… it was amazing! I had a sushi roll, fried rice & the table split an order of crab ragoon my friends had pad Thai & sushi rolls… everything thing was DELICIOUS! The staff was courteous & friendly… we will be back!❤️
Great pad thai
Nice looking place on the inside, but the food is awful. Sushi rolls are gross and full of way too much cream cheese and spicy mayo. Flavor was also off on just about all the fish. Had 5 different rolls and not one of which we wanted to go back for more. Service also somewhat lacking. Never filled my water after 45 minutes of dining. Place was also empty on a Monday afternoon so not much of an excuse for lack of service/quality. Will not be going back and I am not sure why the reviews are so high at this place.

Food and service were 5 stars. But: the salmon roll is listed on the menu as $7.00, but we were charged $8.95. I substituted peanut dressing instead of ginger dressing on my side salad and was charged an extra dollar for the change. None of the charges are unreasonable, I just don't like surprises at the register.
Delicious! Pork fried rice and chicken fried rice were big portions. Sushi was fresh and well made. They were willing to prepare my mother's eggplant dish with some exceptions catered to her palate (no meat and certain veggies). Friendly staff and inviting atmosphere
Was absolutely delicious. Started with the cho cho roll and finished with the duck curry. Parked on the street out front at $1.75 per hour which was pretty good for nashville. The cho cho roll was so good! Absolutely get a ton of food on one roll. The duck curry was perfect, tasted wonderfull and absolutely filled me up.
Service, convenience, and the quality of food was all phenomenal.
I thought i would give this place another try
My sushi was warm to the touch
Tuna had a little rainbow coloring, which means is was about past or past seasons s due daye. Salmon was falling about a sign it was past it due
The plave is trying to be a little of everything Asian. Some japanese dishes some thai dishes even some Chinese dishes, but looking at the descriptions on the menu nothing authentic mostly the same wrong ingredients and repeat makings just mixed differently. Jalapeño peppers in Asian dishes..give me a break
Like my sushi those joint has had its hay day in the past
My special sushi roll was sooooo good! I’d come back and have it again. It was the cape cod. I also was a huge fan of this restaurants atmosphere with the dim lighting and instrumental jazzy and Asian inspired music. My server was one of the sweetest I’ve come across :)
We pigged out! We had the wontons and salmon and chicken thigh yakitori. My friend had the shrimp teriyaki and I had the Scorpion Roll and the Dragon Roll. We left full and happy!
This is THE FREAKING PLACE to get curry in town . The vegetables are just astoundingly good and so unique (think Brussels and zucchini as well as the basic peppers , carrots , cabbage , and bamboo shoots) and , for the same price as everywhere else in town (~$20) you get WAY more food . Also they dont charge a ton to upgrade the protein (only a dollar extra for shrimp !?! Wild . Game-changing). I am a HUGE curry person , and depending on the place , I usually get like 1- 2 meals out of an order of curry , but with Koi’s , it’s more like 3+ ! It is BY FAR the thickest and creamiest vegan red curry I’ve ever had (this is saying a lot bc I usually order curry 5+ times a month and have had it at AT LEAST 50 different restaurants over the past 10 years I’ve spent living all over the southeast). Also , the happy hour tuna roll ($5 for 6 pieces) was fantastic and not “stringy” at all !!! Happy hour wine ($5 a glass) was great ! No wait on a Friday night , but also not concerningly empty either ! Staff was SO attentive but not overbearing . Food was quick but not concerningly quick . I would definitely say it’s not your upscale fancy restaurant , but it’s not supposed to be either . While I had a WONDERFUL experience dining in for happy hour , it does EXCELLENT take-out . Beautiful and clean if you want some insane happy hour deals , but huge takeout portion for the curry even if you’re just ordering for home. In summary , I’d say it’s similarly to Eastern Peak , but FAR MORE REASONABLE on the quality , quantity , and pricing . It’s more out of the way for me to get to from home compared to eastern peak , but I will 100% be making the switch !! Well done !! 10/10 recommend
The food and ambiance were really nice. Very hospitalitable servers. The sushi is fresh as well as the sashimi. The ginger dressing is addicting. The cashew chicken was clean and not saturated in fat. The spring rolls are very fresh; others tend to ivercook their filling. The only dish that didn't meet my expectations was the Singapore noodles; I personally would have liked more curry powder. Besides that, if I lived here, I would come here once or twice a month. Thank you for your service!
Disappointed, the chef should check the food, you guy made sauce is to sweet, we tried mango margarita was sweet too, waste of money
Very yummy sushi! We had the shrimp tempura, Fuji roll, and the jumbo crab cake. Definitely worth checking out!
Good food and good service!
I would definitely not prefer you to order here, because they lied, the order that was said to be ready in 10 minutes was not ready in 30 minutes.
The service here was absolutely terrible. We didn’t get checked on to see how the food was, which was not good. The calamari was over cooked and once you bit into it, it swung back at you because it was rubber. We asked for boxes and the check and never got the check. Sat for a minute and then they came back to get the plates and had to ask for the check again.
Gift was an excellent waitress, the food was delicious but her top-notch service despite it being so busy was what made the experience so bright! Highly recommend the sushi, Thai tea, and pad Thai!
hunter was very friendly!
Kinda dark in there if there aren't alot of people but every thing else was amazing.
Clothes shopping and Google thought I was here!
Food looked good as I walked by.
Good place to go for an abundant and cheap meal. I’ve always ordered some noodles dish (Lad Nah, Pad Kee Mao), and they were pretty good. The egg drop soup was good
Love the food love the service!
Good sushi and affordable prices. Definitely would go back and recommend.
Good food, resonable prices, friendly service, full bar, happy hour. What's not to like?
Normally, Thai restaurants don't give you a food portion that one would consider reasonable for the price, but THIS restaurant offered us generous portions and were absolutely delicious. Definitely earns a visit every time my wife and I are in town.
I was craving Thai, and was reluctant to traveling from where I was to get here. Let me tell you, it was the greatest choice I could’ve made. This resultant is extremely modern, clean and well kept. Maris is an amazing server. She recommended the Chengdu spicy beef dinner and I was blown away. I usually order Mongolian beef but I’m so thankful for her recommendation. I also had amazing Gyoza’s.
This restaurant far exceeded any of my expectations. I will recommend this to everyone!
The best sushi in town
The food is always fantastic, the cocktails are delicious and handmade, the service is always friendly and consistent! We wondered in when the sushi place across the street had bad lighting and rude staff. We’ve been coming here ever since!
Ordered takeout last night because we arrived too late to dine in (9:15pm). We got $80 worth of sushi and other items. Got home and one was missing. ( I know. We shouldve checked.) Anyhoo, Restaurant closed and when I called today I was put off by staff. Told to wait until 4pm when the previous nights staff would be there. Ugh! I really wanted my soup!
Very mid experience. Customer service isn’t great.
We’ve had at least 3 different servers during our dinner. We asked for a Coke Zero and after the 3rd Time and the 3rd waitress we finally got it. I also don’t eat pork and specifically asked for veggie gyoza’s and what did I bite into….?? PORK GYOZA….. I’m disgusted and won’t be back. The food is also 4/10 at best.
The food and service was great, but they took a bigger tip off my card than what I put on my receipt. I don’t appreciate that at all. That’s called STEALING! I am currently trying to dispute the charge with my bank, smh.
We got there 45 minutes before closing and the waitress kinda rushed us. That's very understandable though. She forgot who ordered what but out of 8 people she got 5 wrong. I only got one refill because it took 10 minutes or so to get the first one refilled so I paced myself on the intake of water. The food was phenomenal though. Best sushi I've had in Nashville. Prices weren't bad either.
The food was amazing that we didn’t even get a picture. Once we go back I’ll take pictures and the price for the quantity is top tier! Best Gyoza I’ve ever had!!
Love this place!
Food was amazing!
This restaurant is one of the best restaurant in nashville, the service is amazing, the food is delicious.i will definitely come back with my family.
It was great sushi! They had a lot of different options for sushi, hibachi and other things incase people in your group isn’t a fan! They have something for everyone. The service was great! We didn’t have to wait long and atmosphere was calm and chill.
I live right by here and grab to go food on my way home from work all the time (dine-in on rare occasion). Some of their items are very hit or miss, can’t say I’m overly fond of the sushi rolls I’ve tried. However their curry dishes, crab Rangoon’s, Tom Yum and their Pho are really solid. I’ve started sticking to my regular dishes and order Beef pho to go quite often. Super underrated pho broth and beef. Their bartender is nice as well, can’t remember his name unfortunately.
The food here is amazing definitely a must try and great staff
Great happy hour with lots of good sushi options. Food is great!
It's a nice tucked away cozy restaurant, with warm welcoming staff. We started out with some delicious lettuce wraps and an eel roll. Both were really good, and had a nice fresh taste. We then ordered the Singapore dish that my girlfriend and I shared because the portions are pretty big for one person. Over all the entree was good, this is my go to, so I've had this dish all over the country. This one was a bit more on the sweet side for me, but still had that refreshing taste. After talking with the waitress she informed me that we could add more spice, so if you're like me and like it spicy, you'll have to ask for it. I'd definitely recommend it and it's great for date night!
Incredible food and service and the tablet menu with vibrant pictures of every roll is a nice touch. Almost makes it too hard to choose. Everything we ordered was delicious. Highly recommended!
Yum!!
Always my go-to choice for sushi. Their large menu means I can try something new each time.
Came in twice in the last 2 weeks and it was amazing both times. Got Sushi to go and man was it good. Both of the girls who helped me get my order was very kind. Will definitely be coming back and would definitely suggest to others😎👍
Fantastic dining experience, incredible service with flavorful food!
Koi is our goto thai restaurant and for a reason. The service is great, friendly staff and food is incredible.
Well maintained restaurant with clean restrooms. The service is great, food comes out quick just the way you ordered it.
There is complimentary parking available for restaurant guests.
Wonderful place that is fun, flavorful food and fabulous staff!
It looked good but the Bahama Blue roll tasted off. And after one bite of that everything else didn't taste that great.
That said, the squid salad was a decent starter.
Service was friendly and attentive.
It was a bit more expensive than other sushi places around town. I would be willing to try it one more time but honestly this place just didn't seem that great to me.
Ordered sweet and sour chicken and received a small scoop of plain rice and a plate of fried chicken for 14 bucks.
Stopped in for dinner. Had sushi and Thai and Bento. Food was good and came out quickly. Restaurant was dark, so in places was hard to read the menu. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The lighting, service, food and more is all great. The only Chinese dine in restaurant eat at.
I think I've been to most of the sushi restaurants in Nashville and this is my favorite. (I've eaten there now 8-10 times). The food is amazing the atmosphere is outstanding and the service is incredible. The waiter, June, is one of the best waiters I've ever had.
Good place, got wonton soup 10/10 , Singapore noodles 10/10 lots of good flavor , sushi from a special menu very good with lots of fish … 5$ happy hour beers ( huge selection ) , fast good service )))
Old white guys at bar is extra rude for no reason!
Delicious food, great variety and wonderful service.
My sushi was delicious. I also had yellow curry and it was great. Would definitely go back. Staff was very nice.
Gyoza was excellent! Super tasty. Sushi was mediocre, just not very tasty. Too much wasabi on some pieces and not enough on others and the rice was overcooked. Overpriced for the quality tbh. Atmosphere is nice altho it feels kinda bougie in there.
Great sushi with great jazz
This is my second time eating here. First time, pad thai, second time, red curry. Top marks for flavor each time. The atmosphere makes it even better. Quiet and elegant, but not too much so. Just right.
OUTSTANDING!! The sushi is great. I was shocked by the overall sizes of the portions. The fish was fresh. Everything was delicious. My only problem was trying not to order 1 of everything on the sushi menu.
Absolutely one of THE BEST sushi and thai cuisine restaurants I have had the privilege to dine in. Food, service, and atmosphere were on point. The interior design is absolutely beautiful and adds to the overall ambience of the restaurant. The staff is extraordinary and so professional. We were greeted with smiles and as we left, we exited with staff expressing the exact same smiles. This place is worth your time and money. Run! Do not walk!
The restaurant is very clean and lovely atmosphere. Service was attentive and pleasant and food was excellent. Will definitely come back for more!
Cocktails were delicious! Massive menu selection which is great for those that like sushi and those that don’t
Quiet, friendly, clean with good Japanese food.
I NEVER typically leave reviews. I have to say this is the worst restaurant in Nashville I have ever been to due to an incredibly rude staff, poor food quality, and the audacity to charge customers for food that was inedible. Stay far away from this place.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was very cold and uninviting. I felt as if I was putting people out for them to service us and actually take our orders. When we actually got our food it was HORRIBLE. My rice was inedible and tasted like it had chemicals in it. The chicken teriyaki bento box was cold when it came to me and it was so chewy and tasted like I was eating plastic. The ginger salad was gritty and horrible. The lettuce was very limp as if it had been sitting out all day. I mentioned all of this to the manager and they didn’t say sorry at all and rolled his eyes after he walked away. I would not go back and they didn’t comp my meal or even offer to take anything off for the horrible service and food. I spent $22 and I think any other sushi or hibachi place in town would be better to go to. Save yourself a trip and a stomach ache.
We love trying new restaurants around Nashville and we’re excited to try this place out on a Friday night. It was a disheartening experience, to say the least. The waitress rarely made eye contact and when we received the food, it was cold and subpar. A manager asked how it was and we were honest about how it wasn’t great. I ordered the vegetarian bento box which consisted mainly of onions and carrots and the flavors (if any) were terrible. The manager did not comp the meal in any way or offer any sort of apology for the service/food.
I have never made a 1 star review of a restaurant but if you’re wanting Thai in Nashville, please spend your money and time elsewhere.
Bad attention, we needed more water and the girl was just using her phone, is really expensive in compare with the food
We enjoy the food, atmosphere and the people.
Service and food is great with friendly staff.
service is fast and friendly. the food was pretty good. we enjoyed the shrimp tempura, tom yum soup, snake roll, and dragon roll. the server we had was really nice and she mentioned that it was her first day. she did a great job checking on us! the yellowtail is also quite good, melt in your mouth.
This restaurant has become a go-to place for my wife and I. Consistently very good in all aspects - the food, the service, ease of getting a table. And the menu is so extensive! A total gem of a place!!
Sushi is fantastic. Reasonably priced. Great service
Awesome sushi, and great food!!! I'll go back over and over again!!!
Sushi is made very well, the rice is perfect which is an art in itself, the fish was very fresh and a great cut. I don’t love the roll combinations they offer in general (I don’t like hard things like asparagus inside and I don’t like fruit in my sushi) but that is a personal preference. Prices are on the higher side: $16-$17 a roll.
Update: 40 min later, I reduced from 5 to 2 star. Ordered summer roles to finish our my dinner with. Waited 40 min and still didn’t receive. Server didn’t check on me once. I asked for my ticket before they came so I still ended up paying for them even though I didn’t get them. Service dropped off significantly once my primary dish was served. Restaurant was 1/3 occupied. Would have given them 1 star but their sushi was made proper so I can’t complain about that.
Very mediocre first impression. We got take out! The Pad Thai was delicious! Great pick. Everything else wasn't a hit. The fried rice was so bland, it basically looked like white rice with some peas and carrots. We had to spruce it up ourselves with some soy sauce. The gyoza sauce was soooo sour. Not sure if it had gone bad or if it was just different from what I'm used to. Both soups we got were not even worth a second bite. Kind of disappointing and will probably look elsewhere for Thai food in the future!
I'm here too much to not love this place. Great presentation, a wonder staff, and a lovely environment!
Food was delicious! Nice environment! Very good service all around!
Nice blend between jazz lounge and sushi restaurant.
Really good and authentic sushi! I have tried other locations and I have had a great experience at them all.
Great lunch today at Koi
I ordered the bento box and Ginger salad!!!!
Thanks very much!
We wanted a nice local place with tasty sushi and a chill vibe. That's what we got. Will definitely be back
Great gluten free Rock and Roll sushi! Friendly service as well.
This is not one of the places recommended when you come to Nashville but we found it one of our favorite places. The waitress was very kind and even though the variety of food was almost overwhelming, what we picked was memorably and delicious! I highly recommend eating here! Yummy!!!
