Unfussy eatery offering traditional Thai dishes as well as specialty sushi rolls, plus beer & wine.
Absolutely loved my experience at Lemongrass in Murfreesboro! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a casual meal or a special night out. The menu is a delightful fusion of fresh flavors, and each dish was fantastic.
The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The presentation was also on point, showcasing the care and creativity that goes into every meal.
If you're in the area, I highly recommend Lemongrass for anyone craving delicious Asian cuisine. Can't wait to return and explore more of their menu!
I was craving sushi and have yet to try a place out here in the Boro. Lemongrass was on my Yelp list and happens to be close to where I live so my family and I decided to try it out. I’ve seen others giving them raving reviews so that was a good sign.
Keep in mind they do close during the mid part of the day so check their hours before going! We arrived 11 minutes after opening for their dinner crowd and the place was already half full. Definitely a sign that they are popular in the area.
My husband and I each ordered Thai tea for drinks and their crab Rangoon for appetizer. Highly HIGHLY recommend both. The tea was just the way I like it, very sweet. And the crab Rangoon - honestly I could eat an order myself. Which I will probably do next time!
For our dinner, my husband got the Sex on the beach roll and the Do Re Me roll. I tried the JB roll and Dynamite roll. Both of us enjoyed our picks. They definitely have a bunch of options for both Japanese cuisine and Thai.
We will be back to try their Thai menu next! Service was good for them being so busy. I look forward to come back!
I gotta say I’m disappointed at the customer service. I had a pickup order, I got the Tom yam, noodles, egg rolls and sushi. There was a dead bug in the soup (picture attached). I called in and all the offered is that if I choose to come in again, I can get free soup of the same kind. And said that’s all they can do. First off, I don’t want to go back after having big in my food. Second, if I go in, do you really think I’d want to order the same soup? Lol. Lastly, it just didn’t sound like they were very concern about my experience or willing to make up for it. They almost treated it like it’s normal, which is a little concerning. Their treatment doesn’t make me want to go back. For a mistake like this, I except a refund or at least a gift card in the value of my whole meal and not this $7 soup. I clearly didn’t touch anything else I ordered that day.
This has become my number place for sushi. I brought my daughter and grandson for her birthday dinner. I had the Sashimi platter, with thick generous slices of tuna, salmon, and white fish and crab meat, which surprised me since expected thinner pieces, fried rice, while they had California roll and Rainbow roll platters. Our food came quickly, and everything was really good. We couldn't finish it all, and $75 for three people. My platter cost more than theirs, but I also had all of the fish. I've been to other sushi restaurants and paid much more. Lemongrass is reasonably priced with full menus on their website.
My first visit was for lunch, getting the bento box with sashimi that came with a California roll, rice, and Miso soup. Two adults and two children cost $55, and not bad at all.
I took photo of their hours. Weekend hours vary as Saturdays they close at 10pm and Sunday at 9pm. They are closed on Mondays. If you're looking for a good local sushi restaurant, Lemongrass is worth the visit.
Terrible customer service! My friend and I went for lunch. We ordered 2 lunch entrees and received a side salad and one spring roll each. My pad tai was too spicy (totally my fault for ordering a level 4). I asked to change my portion size the the dinner and they charge me the difference, this way I could add my spicy dish with the non spicy to balance the heat. Our server asked the manager and he said they couldn't do that. I didn't argue, I just said ok and ordered another lunch portion. I also placed a to go order for my daughter. Once they brought my second lunch order of pad tai and my to go order, I didn't receive the salad or spring roll. Again, the manager tells the server that I can't have another one because it's only 1 per person. Mind you...I paid for a total of FOUR meals but because 4 people weren't at the table, I couldn't have the additional salad and/or spring roll. When I told the manager it was terrible customer service, he simply said ok, thank you. My family and I come here often...today was my LAST time!
I’ve been here a few times. The first few times everything was so delicious but unfortunately things weren’t as good I remember a few years ago. It was good but not as great as I remember.
✨
Ordered: Crab Rangoons $6.95, egg noodles $3.95, egg fried rice with shrimp $7.95, Dynamite Sushi Roll $12.95

Been coming here for over a decade. Food is great and friendly service. Waiter and waitress remembers my orders like to put extra sauce in my crispy frog legs or no cream cheese in the spider roll. Highly recommend my usual order of drunken noodles crispy frog legs and spider roll.
One of my favorite places to eat at in Murfreesboro. Sushi is amazing and the Volcano Chicken is my go to non sushi option.
I'm a huge fan of the chicken jungle curry and everyone is always so nice here!
What a great place and loved the option of letting the chef surprise me with sushi

i loved it,food and service was great
Bit of a language barrier when I called to verify an allergy concern. I did take out a separate time and food was fresh and very good pricing was great as well compared to other local restaurants.
Nice place and great food
The best for vegetarians - i love the special roll section for vegetarians.
Delicious food as ex
Really enjoyed the red curry and spring rolls.
The sushi and Thai food was delicious
Absolutely delicious!

Exceptionally fresh food, great service, amazing food, ambiance was casual, impressed.
Even though we miss Eck, his tradition for delicious food survived. One of our favorites - Crab Rangoon - got a little too downsized, taste still good. Our rolls were fresh and tasty.
Chicken Pad Thai was great
I've never had a bad meal here. If you like sushi and your friend is less adventurous, this is the place.
I just found my new favorite place! I am trying to figure out how I never knew about this place. I literally took forever to order because I wanted everything on their menu. So many options and I ate my heart out. Thank you Lemongrass!
Lemongrass is one of my favorite restaurants. That have good service all around and food is great!

Wonderful food, even better staff. Back story: I had ordered sushi and an entree to go. After picking up my order and placing it (along with my purse) inside my vehicle on the passenger side, my car inadvertently locked! No keys...no phone...no food!! After going back inside and explaining my plight, I asked a staff member if I could use a phone. I was actually handed their personal cell phone! After numerous failed attempts to reach my kiddos, I went back to my car to see if maybe it now recognized my key fob. Yeah....it didn't. So, back inside the restaurant I go. With a different staff member, who I believe is the/an owner, now at the check out area, I explain my situation again and ask to use a phone. This gentleman, seeing my frustration, offered me a table, something to drink, and prepared me a meal...free of charge! My apologies for the long narrative, but I could not pass up this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to this family run establishment. The food is always fresh and delicious. They make some of the best sushi around. Their food presentation is colorful and alluring. For me though, now it's all made even better by the amazing and caring staff. And yes....a kiddo came through, and I was finally able to unlock my car, go home, and enjoy my sushi!
When you first walked in it's sort of looks like any Chinese Restaurant decor. But it's Thai food. And once you sit down and read the menu then you find out it's totally different and when the food finally appears the presentation is unreal and the food itself is totally delicious they give you large portions from crab and eel sushi to steak teriyaki, and other wonderful delights I myself had the shrimp tempura lots of big shrimp and it was very tasty it was a great experience bring your friends and family and you will witness what I did and you will walk away happy and full.
10/10 would recommend!
Great food and service
I’ve eaten here several times with my daughters and grandchildren, and literally every time has been a very positive experience. Great food and a courteous staff!
My husband and I love lemongrass. The thai and sushi choices are plentiful. The presentation is appealing. Good service.
Best sushi in town.
My family, friends, and church family have been here several times. From 3 people to 20 (we did call), they have always been friendly, helpful, and go the extra mile. I would highly recommend!!!
I got my usual (Thai tea, JB roll, and pepper steak) and I did ask for fried rice but I got regular rice, it was fine, no big deal. Other than that, I would recommend this place for Thai, sushi and boba lovers.
We come from Franklin for the curry, it’s delish, staff is always friendly in the food is always bomb. They also have the best crab wontons!
Food is lovely, service is great and you can’t beat the prices
Really great neighborhood restaurant.
I love Thai food and Lemongrass is some of the best I've had. Everything was so fresh and tasted great. They do have traditional dishes like fried rice and lo mein, but I would get Thai again in a heartbeat. Typical Asian restaurant decor and the service was good. I'm looking forward to stopping here next time I'm in Murfreesboro.
Was okay, good price and fast service.
Delicious curry, friendly people
The sushi here is the best! Such great combinations and options. The Add roll is amazing!
Our server was new and didn’t speak a lot of English, but his trainer did and was able to get all my dietary restriction questions answered and I was able to eat!
Food was tasty, staff very friendly! Drinks were yummy, get the spice rack, the hottest spice level 5 is more like hot. Overall we all loved our Thai food. Did not try sushi this time.
The food was bland and overpriced. Not worth it at all
Great place to eat.
We arrived less then 30 mins before closing. The waitress took our complete order (appetizer and entrée) quickly. The food was out in about 10 mins or so. Very delicious! I had the Pho with tofu. Yum 😋
I got sushis here
The fish mango curry is my new favorite. There are so many great choices! Sushi and Thai food: they've got it covered.
Best vegetable ,beef and seafood combo ever
Delicious and flavorful curries! Outstanding service from all the staff!!!!! Definitely recommend
Staff is really nice and the food is even better. Highly recommend the pad thai and sushi!
Sushi was fresh not fishy smelling. Good portions and reasonable prices. Would go back again.
Wonderful food
Delicious food, great service
Great sushi.
Been coming here for over a decade. Food is great and friendly service. Waiter and waitress remembers my orders like to put extra sauce in my crispy frog legs or no cream cheese in the spider roll. Highly recommend my usual order of drunken noodles crispy frog legs and spider roll.
Wish we could have tried everything on the menu♥️ The entire experience was amazing from start to finish 🎯❣
This is my favorite sushi/Thai option on this side of Murfreesboro - especially for one that is open fairly late and on Sundays.
Their sashimi appetizer is great. We always enjoy a variety of sushi rolls when the group is feeling sushi. (Though 100% honesty, if you’re going for sushi alone - the best spot in all of town is Oishiya)
And lately, my new found love of Thai curry has been solely because of Lemongrass! Their Mango curry is my personal favorite but the Massaman and Green are great options as well - seafood, chicken, tofu - whatever you prefer!
But I would be leading you astray if I didn’t at least tell you that their duck fried rice may be the best thing on the menu. Their fried rice in general is wonderful, but that duck fried rice…. Well, there’s a reason it’s over $25 yet I would still happily pay it. So much duck. So much flavor.
Gotta check them out!
The service and food is phenomenal!
Hands down some of the absolute best sushi I have had in a long time. I prefer the boat for 1 and a JB roll. Everything was amazing and so tasty. The flavors were so delicious and unique. Highly recommend this place over any sushi place in Murfreesboro.
I only ate sushi but everything that passed by my table looked great.
I will be back
Yum
We had sushi, noodles, tempura and a pho. The pho was ok, too much chili oil but everything else was SO GOOD AND FLAVORFUL! And at a great price! The service was great, food came out within a reasonable time, presentation was nice too! Get here early because it gets full by 530pm on the weekends. The only thing I’d say is the bathroom and hall area was in need of a lot of TLC but other than that, we’d go back for sure!
I love lemongrass but they recently have changed portion size but not price to reflect that. I ordered fried rice for $14 and got the side portion size, or rather the old version of a side portion as the full serving size. Was not worth the price for a to-go portion of fried rice. The paanang curry is amazing, the sushi is great. But i will not be ordering to go portion again.
Took my mom here for lunch after shopping. First time here and loved it. Service was friendly and quick and the food was delicious 😋 Would definitely go back.
Loved their Thai options. It was tasty.
Would have loved for the tornado duck to have fresh carrots vs frozen for the cost. The sauce is not brown like stated its pinkish red I thought I would be closer to the brown plum sauce but it was ok. I would go back again and try something else the sushi looked amazing so I will try that next time vs the chef recommendation selections.
1st time eating at this place. It was a really good lunch. $11 for lunch entree, salad and spring roll. I had the Pad See Ew with chicken. The ginger dressing on the salad seemed to be mayonnaise based. I didn't care for the dressing. My husband had Pad Thai. He said it was good but a little to sweet.
We'd definitely go back again.
This place is so good & my favorite sushi place in town. The only problem is both times I’ve ordered to go from here, it’s been about 20 minutes late, even if I order hours ahead of time. This most recent time, my order was 40 minutes late…turns out it was sitting on the counter the entire time & an Employee kept me waiting there for 49 minutes while it just sat. Frustrating because this is my absolute favorite sushi place in town.
Some of the best sushi I've ever had!
Food is always delicious. I hate the drive to get here, but it's worth the traffic.
My first time eating there and I love it! This place is the best. I had the basil chicken lunch special, with the salad with ginger dressing and a egg roll. Absolutely wonderful I will be back on a regular basis. Thank you thank you thank you
Just depends on the day in who was working on how your food’s gonna taste and what service she will get
First time ordering and we were pleasantly surprised! Our food was delicious... no complaints
It's my favorite sushi place in town. The servers are all wonderful and the food is fresh. There are plenty of vegetarian/vegan options. I have been there many times, and the experiences have all been absolutely top knotch. I HIGHLY recommend giving them a try. You won't be disappointed.
Best sushi in the boro!
Meh at best! The topping of the dynamite roll was just a giant blog of mayo dropped on top of the roll. The eel hand roll had two tiny strips of eel and the rest was rice & cuc. The rainbow roll was small and mediocre. The tuna roll was good, but how can you mess that up?! Don’t plan on returning nor would I recommend.
Best sashimi in town. Very high quality.
Fantastic! Rainbow Roll was great. Crab and shrimp in our seafood pho were light, tender, fresh, succulent, and wonderfully flavorful. Haven't had anything any better at the oceanside.
Best sushi I've ever eaten in murfreesboro, coustom service is amazing as well..
This Thai restaurant in Murfreesboro is one of my top picks. I really enjoy their Tom Yum soup with a spice level of 5, which I find just the right amount of spiciness. Their crab rangoons are a personal favorite, and my sister is a big fan of their freshly made and delicious sushi. The restaurant's friendly and welcoming atmosphere adds to the overall experience.
The food was good. Service was lacking. Very clean restaurant. Overall, okay. They're definitely trying to put their own spin on things with some unusual ingredients not traditionally found in sushi rolls... some were alright, others were not.
The floor was both slippery and very sticky. There isn't really a waiting area (it was busy at dinnertime, less so at lunch). The sushi is good and servers are pleasant. I had the thai tea, which seemed the same as what I've brought home from an Asian grocery store.
Lemongrass sushi is always amazing.
I was seated for dinner. I had 4 different waiters and waitresses go past my table time and time again. Not once in over 20 minutes, were we ever acknowledged. Not a greeting, drink order, nothing. We finally got up and left.
Great food!
Had dinner date before a movie and we ordered. Edamame (which was the only thing I will say they didn’t give very much..) and 3 plates of sushi. We had one each and shared one. We ate everything. I tried the plum wine which was sweet and delicious. (Miso soup also comes free when ordering any entree such as sushi rolls)
Delicious food. Great service
The food was good. We had the crab Rangoon wontons, the pork fried rice and the pad Thai. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because they took a very, very long time to deliver our food after we ordered.
One of the best Thai / sushi places I've ever been to. Only issue is that it gets crowded fast on the weekend - but that's to be expected when it's so freaking good!
Love this place! Sushi is amazing, and the staff is amazing. It's one of our favorite places to eat in Murfreesboro!
Good food but an overall poor experience. We ordered an appetizer and it was never delivered. We went thru three different servers and didn't get drinks filled that often. They lost our ticket and finally found it so we waited a long time to be served. We were having a good conversation with our kids so we didn't notice but probably 30+minutes before they let us know they had lost the ticket. They didn't do anything to comp or make up for the long delay. Food was good but wasn't fantastic. A bit disappointed that the men's bathroom wasn't as nice/clean as I expected.
Mid af. The eel was not good. Probably one of those Tim ford lake eels. My wife’s trying to grab my eel as I type.
I really love shusi here , the best of the best
No clue how they determine whether or not they are taking to go orders. 90% of the time they don't answer. And if you call enough they will just disconnect the line and make it go straight to voice-mail.
Sad cuz food is good. I wonder how much money and business is missed avoiding Togo orders. Oh well.
My business will go elsewhere tonight and next time.
Had a large family outing, and this place kept up with the multitudes of orders. It was a wonderful experience, thank you.
Food is good, the sushi is amazing, but it takes foreeever to get it. It's the only qualm, so I suggest ordering take-out or be prepared to wait. It's worth it though.
We love this place! It is our go to sushi restaurant!
Amazing every time we go!!!
I'm a huge fan of Asain food in general & I've sampled every option in Murfreesboro. For my taste, Lemongrass is hands-down the best Thai food I've ever had in & outside of Murfreesboro. Unfortunately, I don't live as close as I used to, but I never regret making the trip. I highly recommended you give it a shot!
The sushi was super good. I got the boat for two, which contained sashimi, nigiri, calamari, and I think two rolls. It was super good for the price and made leftovers.
Beat sushi in town!

Sushi was excellent! Though service was odd and impersonal. Your sign in instead of talking to a host and they were clearly a little understaffed for servers.
Went to Lemongrass for first time tonight. Was a great experience. Patrick was our waiter. He was very attentive and great with service checking in throughout our dining experience. We ordered sushi - red tuna! Delicious and so fresh. Also ordered spicy tuna sushi rolls ...yummy! I ordered drunken noodles with beef spicy level 3 of 5. Hubby ordered pho with beef and meatballs. He said it was delicious but would not order meatballs next time. Salad was good and dressing was not very ginger but still tasty. The miso soup was tasty. Had a few Sapporo premium beers. Pretty tasty. Our bill was like $70 for all this. Very reasonable and service by Patrick was great. We will definitely be back again. New favorite restaurant and sad we didn't find this gem sooner! Go visit soon! You will not be disappointed and the service and food especially the sushi is AMAZING! Thank you, Lemongrass Sushi and Thai Restaurant family! We are very happy and satisfied and will visit again soon! YUM! 😁🥰😄
Everything we ordered was delicious!
I don’t recommend the restaurant at all.
If you want to eat sushi that never ever related to it, come here and try it !!!! The sushi is like a burger or taco and they provide a soup is like to drink something from fish‘s stomach!!!!! I didn’t complete my dish.
You will be wait more that 30 minutes in your table .
Best sushi in the area
It’s hit and miss here. Fried rice is ok. I had a seafood mix with garlic it was ok.
Best in the area!
Food is great but portions got kid sized. Just make it myself from now on or find a new place
Great Thai food. I got the pad thai and was really impressed. My friend got the pho, and he said it was great. Said it was a little plain at first, but with the spice rack they give you, you're able to spice it up a good bit. Nice atmosphere, pretty fast service during a busy dinner rush, and pretty fair prices!
Lemongrass is a great place to grab sushi and some red curry. Plus the waitresses are nice.
Great Thai food!!! Red Curry was very good. Also Had Ginger Steak. Flavor was great, steak was a little tough. Friendly staff!!!
Very good food and friendly staff.. I enjoy this restaurant for its variety, quality, and overall atmosphere.
Dirty place. Service is poor. Food is ok at best. This place would go out of business in less than a month in a nice city.
Best chicken pad thai I've had in Murfreesboro.
The sushi is superb, the Thai food fresh and delicious, the wait staff friendly.
Food is amazing and everyone is very nice, been going since I was 15
If you like becoming violently sick after eating out you will not be disappointed here.
