Ordered pad Thai off uber eats and it was disgusting. Dry noodles stuck together, no egg and red chicken. Explains why it was buy one get one.

Diner Review №2

food is authentic… great portions and cost

Diner Review №3

The restaurant was very cold and the food was not good, the yellow curry so sweet it was inedible and the other dishes were not very good.

Diner Review №4

The food tasted good. However, the portion was very small(see the pics I posted). 4 shrimp for $15.00? Real rip off. Didn’t add utensils, shouldn’t have to ask no one else has you do that. There was a deal on Uber Eats for a BOGO, but this was like getting one portion between two people. Won’t order from here again. Sorry

Diner Review №5

Massaman curry and pad tai are just awesome here. I always love having take out here. Grab and go home, also the Tom kha soup made my life when I’m sick.

Diner Review №6

Diner Review №7

Diner Review №8

Worst massaman curry ever no flavor no peanuts and when you call the shop there only remedy is they will tell the chef for the future. Me while I now have dinner that is tasteless.

Cozy place with nice atmosphere, calming popular pop music (not Thai), amazing food, affordable prices and very polite and welcoming staff. I had a duck with vegetables and it was absolutely delishes! Will definitely visit again when nearby.

Diner Review №13

This is a hidden gem and must be saved at all costs.
Hands down the best Thai basil fried rice in the whole world😭. Every time I visit any other thai place the respect i have for this restaurant keeps increasing.

Diner Review №14

I came here for a lunch special and I wish I could say good things but I cannot. I’ve been visiting the Thai spots in the area and there a a lot and this one was the worst - lunch special came to $19 for just a very small salad and a small portion. I ordered red curry - what I ate was not red curry just some sort of sauce but didn’t have the flavor or spice level of red curry - hardly and chicken and I’m not even a protein person but there was barely any in there. The poor rating is more for the flavor than the portion because it didn’t taste like Thai food. The salad albeit very small at least had a nice peanut sauce. I would go elsewhere- too many better options in this neighborhood

Diner Review №15

Yummm best ($10!) cocktails we’ve had in NY all weekend 😂 Lychee martini and Manhattan.
Oh yeah the food was fire too! Tom yum soup especially
I’ll post a pic if google lets me!

Diner Review №16

Excellent service and food was delicious.

Diner Review №17

It tastes terrible, the beef is old and the rice noodles are clumpy. It is too sweet

Diner Review №18

Diner Review №19

Diner Review №20

Diner Review №21

Nice vibe food ok but can be better .

Diner Review №22

Their behavior is appalling. Save your time and money by choosing another nearby restaurant. In an emergency, I needed to use the bathroom briefly. Despite no other customers present, they insisted it was for patrons only. Considering the lack of public bathrooms nearby, I believe restaurants should provide this facility. Despite it being almost 5 in the afternoon, not mealtime, they could have shown humanity by allowing me access, possibly even covering the cost. Why support businesses that only value us as ATMs?

Diner Review №23

I work in the area and have ordered lunch a few times for pick up. I stopped by once for dinner. The food is okay. The last time was a week ago. I ordered the basil fried rice lunch special. The rice was kinda hard. I prefer other Thai restaurants in the area.

Diner Review №24

Diner Review №25

Nice reliable local Thai restaurant

Diner Review №26

It’s my second time. Normally I delivered their foods and finally I stopped by yesterday in store. I like House of Thai. Cozy and comfort place. Foods was good and Manager was kinds. I will be back.

Diner Review №27

Wir waren am ersten Abend hier essen und uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Sehr freundliches Personal und unglaublich leckeres Essen. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

Diner Review №28

Diner Review №29

Saw them bringing in Tyson chicken from the grocery store. I only had their crab rangoons.

Diner Review №30

Nice, small dining area, had the pad Thai, was very good

Diner Review №31

Small restaurant. Wonderful pad Thai!

Diner Review №32

The service was a little meh, but it was lunch so I know that was the B team. The food is good enough to overlook that. Lunch special is super reasonably priced. Don't miss out.

Diner Review №33

Their signs at the location and the time online says they open at 11:30. Got there at 11:45 and I was told they aren’t open yet. Change your open time then so I don’t waste my time coming there if you don’t open at 11:30. Won’t be coming back here.

Diner Review №34

We had the Dancing Chicken, Love Bird (chicken), Pad Khee Mao (beef), and basic Chicken Fried Rice. Everyone of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals! The service was fast and professional.

Diner Review №35

Beautiful space with an extensive menu -- a great retreat from all the new and urban to a cultural slice of warmth. Friendly staff, timely service, and delicious food as well :).

Diner Review №36

Great place for dinner with a limited seat, but it's awesome to find a spot with more than 2 tables. The food was excellent, the kid loved her duck, and the wife really enjoyed her noodles. My flat noodles were very good, the crab raccoon was uniquely sweet, which I enjoyed greatly, and the chicken sticks were also very good. It was a great meal.

Diner Review №37

1) Crying Tiger - meat very tough 2) dancing chicken was too salty and sweet while not spicy enough

Diner Review №38

We ordered the food around 8:00pm and it said the food was on the way and delivered by 9:30pm but we never got food. Waste time and money. Never order food again.

Diner Review №39

Diner Review №40

The Best in NYC!

Diner Review №41

Diner Review №42

Definitely for white/American palette. The larb is the blandest for any Thai restaurant. Where the fish sauce, the lime, the burst of flavor??? That was a miss. Also got the dancing chicken. There was no dancing on any level. Just sweet stir fry. Where’s the heat?? Where’s the spice??? I wouldn’t recommend to any one wanting something authentic. So many other authentic Thai in queens. THEY CANT COMPETE WITH HUG ESSAN.

Diner Review №57

After dining here for years, both in person and take away, I just received my order and there is a ROACH in the soup. Ordinarily, I probably would not have posted a review like this, but when I called for a refund the woman who took the call laughed, and offered to replace it. I had to argue for a full refund as she didn't seem to understand that replacing the buggy food was not a suitable option.

Diner Review №58

Always amazing!!

Diner Review №59

I will definitely be going back

Diner Review №60

Third time eating in-house (ordered takeout a couple times as well). Very accommodating, professional, prompt. Highly recommend! Price is also very reasonable.

Diner Review №61

Best Thai I’ve had for a AGES of the affordable variety.
AMAZING CALAMARI
*I just wanted to fill up because most affordable places offer calamari w tons of breading at least, then I got the best calamari I have had in ages.

Pasta and all other dishes were executed impressively. I can’t say enough,
I will be happily traveling to go back to this place!!

The vibe is clean and fine, the food is enough for 5 starts alone!

Diner Review №62

Diner Review №94

my fiancé and I LOVE Thai food and we always try new spots, this place didn't let us down. We did take out because we had to go to work but the food was fresh, nicely packaged and it was delicioussssss

Diner Review №95

We found live cockroach in our food. We ordered Basil -Sautéed onion, carrot, bamboo shoot, string bean, bell pepper with chicken and we found live cockroach walking in our food. They change the food and did not take money for that dish. We couldn’t eat after that…Disgusting! Never going back.

Diner Review №96

Overrated! The "chef" was using the microwave, huge red flag. They serve apple sauce with spring rolls. I see here and yelp several customers found roach in their food. Never again. I will not be back

Diner Review №97

Xtra charge! Xtra charge! Xtra charge! Beef salad was basically dry. Asked for more of the dressing, “that costs extra.” Even tho it was so dry. I asked why the pad thai wasn’t served with a lime and they said “that costs extra”. Then I asked for chili paste, a pretty standard condiment that is usually just brought to your table in a jar. Again they told me “that costs extra.” I’m never coming here again. The food was mediocre at best and the service was accompanied with snark. There are other better thai restaurants in Astoria. Avoid this one, at all costs!

Diner Review №98

Diner Review №99

Good dessert ummmm

Diner Review №100

Diner Review №101

Diner Review №102

Try the Jungle Curry! It's deliciously spicy.
We also got the tom kha soup with shrimp, fried vegetarian spring rolls, fried tofu, and sides of flat noodle and glass noodles.

Diner Review №103

Excellent meal and wine!!

Diner Review №104

Diner Review №105

Great service and food. Fried Tofu Pad Thai was a huge portion and delicious. The chef special Crying Tiger was tender beef, a bit spicy but not intolerable. Lychee Martinis were strong and tasty. Would highly recommend this spot.

Diner Review №106

Lunch special is great

Diner Review №107

Found this Place very close to where I was staying and I am so glad that I did.
I was so fortunate to try my three favourite dishes:

Yum Nua (beef salad)
Mussamun Curry (w/ chicken)
Pad Kee Mao (w/ chicken) (aka drunken noodles)

Each dish was prepared extremely well with fresh ingredients and the right herbs and spices. Where dishes were supposed to be a little spicier they definitely were and you could really taste the quality of ingredients.

Service was quick and customer service was excellent. When we asked for recommendations on dishes you could really tell that staff knew what they were talking about the level of detail around flavour and preparedness for each dish.

I have no idea if this is a popular restaurant or not but from a quality standpoint - it was some of the best Thai food I have ever tasted (and I have visited Thailand).

Definitely visit this restaurant if you are in the area - service and food will not disappoint!

Diner Review №108

My friend and I both got Pad Thai which was delicious! The sauce was perfect. But we were mostly impressed with the kind service. The waitress was so attentive and kind, and noticed things without us saying anything! She also told my friend she looked like Lindsay Lohan so she was beaming. The restaurant is also lovely with an adorable outdoor area. We will be back! Thank you so much!

Diner Review №109

The best drunken noodles and Pad See Ew I’ve had in LIC!

Diner Review №110

Delicious food and great service.

Diner Review №111

How I rate a restaurant:
+1⭐ Friendly Staff(s)
+1⭐ Clean Place
+1⭐ Wait Time
+1⭐ Food
+1⭐ Price
Each +1⭐star represents a normal/standard outcome, up to excellent of outcome.
Each -1⭐ represents a below standard of outcome.
And all would be based on my experience.

I'm very familiar with Thai food and been to many Thai restaurants all over US, hope this helps.

Ordered for pick up.
-Greeted by friendly staffs,
-Place was decent and seemed clean, pretty spacious if you want to dine in.
-Food was ready(12 min after ordered by phone).
-Beef Classic Fried Rice (lunch) and spicy Beef Pad See Ew (lunch) both come with side salad with peanut dressing on the side. Both had good portion, and tasted good and authentic too. Pad see ew was spicy as requested. No complaints!
-Price was reasonable for LIC area. Those 2 orders were total $32.56 after tax.

Nice experience overall! 👍

Diner Review №112

Buon ristorante di cucina cinese e thai con menù similare ai ns. In Italia

Diner Review №113

Posticino carino un po' caro. Non mi è piaciuto molto

Diner Review №114

Great food and very attentive service! I got the basil tofu for the lunch special, and both the salad and the entree were great.

Diner Review №115

This review is refer to a food delivery through GRUBHUB.

We order two lunch specials - Pad Khee Mao (chicken) and Classic fried rice (beef), both are along with a small box of salad. Also we got Golden fried tofu as our side dish. If you are in a hurry or just fancy Thai food but feel lazy to cook, go order House of Thai! Food comes quick and well packed, keeps hot and warm when we got.

Pad Khee Mao is kind of spicy pad Thai noodle, although it’s blending with heavy sauce, you can still tell the ingredients are fresh and the flavor is performing with harmony. Golden tofu tastes crispy outside yet solid of inside firm tofu.

Lovely experience with decent value. Would certainly go visit in person next time when craving authentic Thai food again.

Diner Review №116

Atendimento PERFEITO, comida maravilhosa, preços justos, e ENERGIA DO BEM ! INDICO E RECOMENDO A TODOS !

Diner Review №117

Good food! Nice service!

Diner Review №118

Have not had the pleasure of dining in here but I had the chicken wings and another dish for take out. Both the entrees were delicious but the chicken wings were truly the best and very crispy.

Diner Review №119

Diner Review №120

The Thai salad was delicious. I ordered the Pad Thai with beef which had a good flavor overall.

Diner Review №121

Food wasn’t seasoned and very bland. The thing that was most troublesome was the treatment i received by the staff. They seemed to be feeling overwhelmed during lunch time and I guess decided to take their frustration out on me. Very flippant and dismissive. They also yelled at me for asking for soy sauce cause there was none in the bag (mind you my take out order was over $100). I don’t think I’ll be visiting again. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Diner Review №122

Great taste, big portions

Diner Review №123

I Google for authentic Thai food and was one of the places that came up. I chose this place since it got such great reviews.

HOWEVER, THIS PLACE IS DEFINITELY NOT AUTHENTIC. How I know, I was dated a a Thai guy for 2.5 yrs, and this place definitely does not compare.

I feel like I was eating dessert as food, everything was extremely too sweet. If anyone can recommend a REAL AUTHENTIC Thai restaurant please let me post here.

Diner Review №124

Diner Review №132

Wings are amazing. They use a dry rub with lime powder that is amazing. Tom ka is best we've had.

Diner Review №133

*This review is referencing this restaurant as a takeout order*

We ordered pad see ew with mixed veggies and beef, and a small Tom Yum. All of it has been by far the best I’ve ever had of Thai food in this entire city. I’ve been to MANY and I felt these dishes had a perfect blend of flavor while light enough to finish and not regret the weight later.

Affordable for the LIC area. Dishes made quickly.

Diner Review №136

The employees are super unprofessional, rude, arrogant. Waitress Ann specially. Even they scam your Cc. Like I tipped them $ 5 on Cc and $5 cash. They made the Cc $5 , $15. And when I called them and inform them the waitress Ann was trying to make it so big she wanted me to wait for see the camera who did it and all nonsense. Wherever I had already sent her the recipe pic I have that clearly said it’s $5. The owner gotta take a strong initiative. Well I read the answer from your end, and just would like to tell you I’m in hospitality business and studied the same. Maybe we are serving wrong at our 5 stars Hotels. We got this type of billing issue everyday. And it’s pretty natural to make mistakes but we never ask our guests permission if we can check the camera!!!😉!!!!! Funny 😄 . Well we used to be your regular guest. At least twice month. And yes of course the food is good there. And you guys didn’t refund the amount yet.😄. Well the funny owner’s funny employee. Good bye you guys won’t see us again ever and business is marketing. You lose so many guests for your answer only. It made sure that not only the employees, the owner of the restaurant is arrogant too.

Diner Review №137

Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this restaurant for Thai food. Caught a pretty nasty case of food poisoning last week. Sorry....

Diner Review №138

I want to give this place five stars but I feel like I should give them three so I have compromised with four. Why? I would love to support local and their food is very good most of the time. We were so happy when they opened an added another lovely restaurant to our neighborhood. We were also super delighted when they added outdoor seating. Why 3? Since they’ve been open prices have jumped and portions have shrunk. We understand they had “getting to know us pricing,” but if we get delivery there’s other cheaper options. Drinks are just ok. We also found out (The hard-way) vegetarian might still include fish. Their outdoor seating is now all in-closed defeating the point but I suppose winter is coming but in the summer it felt like a steam room. Lastly certain food menu items have declined. Small example we all got noodle soup. Less veggies and no tofu. Oh, and the music offends most of my family but I tune it out.

Still. Their food is good and they have a very friendly staff. We will continue to support and eat there. We also love the 10% cash discount. They are clean and most of their dishes predictably good. I’m happy they’re here.

favorite place to get take out from in LIC.. get extra spicy if you love spice. I get the pad kee mao... really solid price point too!

Diner Review №144

Delicious food, friendly staff, extensive menu, good drinks list - a little on the dive-y side, but that's kind of my scene anyway. No complaints about the service or food, just needs an update in decor. Fresh, delicious food.

Diner Review №145

Diner Review №146

Awesome food they have. It would be great now if they open back up for dine in. Their lunch special for dine in is an awesome deal.

They didn't catered to my food allergies and I had stomach pain from eating they're spicy food after I said no spicy food please make it without the hot spices and they disregard my food allergies and gave me hot spices anyway.

Diner Review №151

Diner Review №152

You only can fool people from boondocks who gave this place 5 star reviews. But not New York people. Not only it is inauthentic, but it tastes no good. I think the chef needs to travel Thailand or at least Jackson Heights/East Elmhurst to learn how to cook Thai food properly.

UPDATE: The owner dared to answer my review. I ordered a Pad Kee Mao which is a very basic Thai food commonly known as Drunken Noodles. It came in Pad Thai noodle. Enough said. Mai au khrap! If the owner doesn’t want to validate my review, that is fine. But why doesn’t he/she try the same dish at a place on Broadway in East Elmhurst? Since the owner thinks all my reviews are “unsatisfied,” for the record, I don’t review good restaurants because I want to keep them secret. Oh! I don’t like restaurant owners who regard people in Queens not as sophisticated as people in other boroughs. They bring mediocre food and charge Manhattan price. I don’t have any issues with price for good food. So I take it as an insult. I usually review those places.

Diner Review №153

Amazing Vegetarian food!! Delicious Thai iced teas ❤️

Diner Review №154

The food here is amazing and they have very nicely lit outdoor dinning area but there’s a weird line of old beaten up chairs as you enter and some uneasy steps so not really handy cap assessable. The staff are nice though, I dined alone cuz I was on my lunch break.

Diner Review №155

Nice little spot with very good Duck dinner and Bourbon Thaitea. They even have a cute area out front that would be great for date night.

Diner Review №156

Diner Review №173

Indoor dining restarted today so my friend and I went for lunch. Tables are spaced far apart, they also take your temperature and have you sign a log. Food is absolutely delicious. We both got lunch specials, which come with jasmine rice and salad with peanut dressing. I got the basil chicken which had big pieces of chicken and lots of veggies in a slightly spicy sauce. One of my new favorite dishes. My friend got one of the curries which she liked very much as well. Extremely reasonably priced for what we got, I think the total for both of us was under $25. Hoping this place does well and I can return again.

Diner Review №174

This is possibly one of the best tasting Thai food around. The portions are enough and the food is extremely tasty. I drive from Long Island to this place in Long Island City. My favorite, drunken noodles, basil chicken fry rice, basil chicken & basil pork.

Diner Review №192

They don't have pineapple fried rice and is all halal

Diner Review №193

I had a lovely time here with my boyfriend. They have great drink specials, $5 margaritas. The lychee margarita is delicious and not too sweet yet flavorful. As far as food I order spring rolls and he ordered calamari. Portions are not huge so I would recommend getting an both an appetizer and entree if you're super hungry. The outdoor seating area was quaint, on a quiet and not too busy block which made our dining experience intimate. Lastly, we really enjoyed the music. It matched the ambiance of the restaurant in a modern way. They placed soulful and calming music. Will definitely be back to try some other options.

Diner Review №194

They cooked a lovely pineapple rice and Thai tea . It was very good. Thanks a lot!

Diner Review №199

The best chicken pad Thai, spring rolls. And the best Thai tea. I ever had.
