Authentic Thai restaurant.
ร้านอาหารพินไทย
Our food was good. The people serving us are great. The restaurant was nice and clean. Being black Friday Saturday they was a good flow of people. Our food was prepared, wonderful my husband soup was nice and spicy. My mongo sticky rice was just like it was in Thailand. Will be back, and you guys should try it too. Just look at the hours because they do close in middle of the day reopened later.
Absolutely the best Thai food in Knoxville. Everyone I've ever brought here says the same. Never once been disappointed. But come early and check their times on Google! They fill up quick. I recommend the wonton, spring rolls, and Pad Thai with chicken. Wontons not featured in the picture because we ate them too fast!
The food is absolutely delicious and bursting with flavor. The ambience is super relaxing. The speed of food delivery can be a bit hit or miss, but we’re okay with it. We absolutely love drunken noodles and pad pak. The only thing we’d change is that the second level of heat on the dishes is a bit too spicy for our taste buds, but it’s still delicious. The service is alright , and the thai tea is my favorite! Always super clean !
My new favorite Thai restaurant. It was so delicious and I took a friend that's never had Thai food before, and she fell in love too.
They have marks on the menu for vegan options and it's very helpful to see the little leaves 🍃 for vegan dishes. They are very acomidating for dietary restrictions.
Amazingly Authentic Thai Food!
If you're looking for authentic Thai food without the 30 hour travel time and jet lag to Thailand, be sure to stop here and grab you a bite!
Having lived in Thailand over a decade, this is amazing Thai food made with love and care. The Khao soi tastes just like a bowl from the streets of Thailand, you can't find any better around here.
Great portion sizes and attentive staff, clean and crisp atmosphere. Excellent food, excellent value.
The food is excellent! It is family owned, with only 4 employees and they were very friendly. They have a sign when you enter that says that the food may take 40 minutes to an hour to be prepared. They were extremely busy while we were there on a Wednesday night. They have a sign on the door that says that they only do to go orders 30 minutes prior to close. At 45 minutes to close they turned the sign around on the door to closed and stopped answering the phone. The only downside was actually eating in the restaurant. There was a large group of about 10 people and because they were so loud and the place was so small, the level of noise in the restaurant was at yelling level. Also, because they stopped answering the phone 45 minutes before they closed, we listened to the phone ring nonstop. It did take close to an hour for us to get our entrees. There was a steady stream of people coming in for to go orders so I highly suggest taking your food to go. Also, because the large party took extra chairs from another table there was a table empty, but it only had two seats and we had a party of four so we had to sit at the bar.
Before we went, we knew there might be an order because of the reviews said that there is a wait for a reason and it’s worth the wait. We absolutely agree. We are visiting from out of town so we won’t be returning, but if we did, we would probably stick with a to go order.
Delicious every time. I love this place!

Not friendly 🤦
Might be a wait but always good food and service

Their pad thai was delicious and there was a lot!
That Pad Woon sen was deeeeeelicious. I hate that I don't live here to eat this food whenever I want. The service was friendly and fast. The restaurant is easy to get to with plenty of parking.

My boyfriend and I went to Pin Thai on a whim. We wanted to drive different types of Asian food in Knoxville, and were so impressed with the dishes! Our favorites were the Drunken Noodles and Guay Tiew Tom Yum, which was so nutty and savory. One of the waitresses were even kind enough to pack our to-go order for us after we were done eating and was so kind to us throughout our whole dining experience. I definitely recommend this place to all who want to try Thai Food here in West Knoxville :)
The best and freshest Thai food in the area. Since taste of Thai closed down and was replaced by Asia cafe this is my go to place for Thai food. The service may be very slow when they are busy but the food is well worth the wait but I would go if I am not in a hurry to go anywhere else.
Really don't understand why the majority of the reviews seem to be so glowingly positive for this place. Yes, the people are very friendly, however the food is mediocre at best, the service is abysmal, and I'm not really happy about waiting nearly 1 hour for mediocre Thai food. I guess to each their own.......
Always fresh quality food, service always friendly. We love everything on the menu!
We got here at 8:22PM and they close at 9. The sign very clearly says they stop table service 30 minutes before closing. So we were good, they denied us table service and offered take out. We asked how long and they said 30-35 minutes. I don't understand the point of take out since it's still past closing. Just say you're order cut off time is 30 minutes before closing.
I wanted to try this place but now I'm put off.
This incident happened on 2024-08-17
Drunken noodle was dry and $16. Way too much for a sub par meal
Worst Drunken Noodle I ever had
I'm a regular here. The food was authentic and so good
Really, really good. The staff is friendly and courteous. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous.

A great little place with a huge selection and big portions. Very distinct, but not overpowering, flavors with each dish. Kind and attentive service.
My favorite restaurant! Not only is the food amazing but so is the staff. You need to go here.
The drinks and food are very delicious and the food is very fresh. Today I ordered pad Thai but it was a bit sweet for my taste.
Outstanding! My fiancé and I ate here today for the first time passing through from chattanooga and we were so impressed. We got the peanut chicken curry and the chicken pad thai and both were so delicious and fresh. Great service, clean restaurant. Absolutely no complaints!
Food too salty, long wait, pre cooked fried tofu rancid, not enough vegetables on the dishes, minimalist eating utensils.
So Good! Great people!
Amazing Thai food and outstanding service. They definitely got a new regular customer!
Our go-to place for amazing Thai food.
They don’t open everyday and they can take off an entire month to travel sometimes. Nevertheless, when they are open, this is the best bet for Thai in town.
Straight gas. No cap. Bussin FR. 6stars on god. This spot eats.
Best Thai food in West Knoxville area since Taste of Thai closed. Limited tables/seating.
Awesome Thai. Eat in or order to go.
The best thai around. If you're looking for an incredible soup, I highly recommend the N7. I go once a week just for it!!
I absolutely love Pin Thai. It is one of my favorite restaurants to go to with friends/family and even get takeout from. I really like how simple and cozy the atmosphere is and how flavorful the dishes are. I appreciate that their dishes also cater to vegetarians— it never disappoints! Thank you for all the amazing food.
We have been trying to find a good Thai restaurant for a very long time with no success. We have driven by Pin Thai more than a few times but never stopped. We decided to get lunch to go the other day and my goodness, was it ever delicious. My wife got the Pad See Ew and she really liked it. I got the veggie green curry and it was AMAZING!!!!! The lady that took our order was very friendly and the food did not take that long to make. This is our new go to Thai place in Knoxville.
I have eaten at Pin Thai 3 times and the food has been consistently really good to excellent. The waiter who was Thai indicated my dish was authentic. The service was good each time I visited. As for the atmosphere, it was acceptable but irrelevant. I went for excellent Thai food, and I had no expectations that I would somehow be transported to Thailand based on the atmosphere.
Best Thai in knoxville
Loved the drunken noodle. Everything we ate was magnificent. Nice clean space
Super busy ALOT of the time! Delicious soup and noodles! Love this place
This is definitely my favorite Thai place in Knoxville!! The servers are so sweet, and they are really good at accommodating special requests.
Lots of flavor! Fresh food and delicious Thai tea coffee
Great food every time come eat here.
I wouldn’t know what the food tasted like. I called in an order, for a significant amount of food/money, and when I got there they had made the wrong thing. Ok, no big deal, please just instead make me what I asked for. I politely advised I hadn’t ordered that, and they start arguing with me that I did, and ordered something I’ve never ordered off any menu in my life. They were clearly angry with me, and apparently couldn’t fathom that they were the ones who made the mistake. The guy who took my order wouldn’t even speak to me himself, he just kept sending someone else to talk to me. I don’t know about you, but I don’t trust angry strangers who are making my food. They eventually gave me what I asked for for the original price agreed on, but I can’t bring myself to try it for fear they took their anger out in the easiest way possible, at someone who didn’t even do anything wrong.
Love this place great food
Great service
Good prices
Highly recommend
Best Thai food in Farragut! Service is always really fast, takeout is my usual mode of cooking. But so delicious!
Best Pad Thai!!! Great Thom Kha as well.. Definitely best Thai in Knoxville! Go try it.
Unmatched food! Wonderful flavor and sizable portions. One of my new favorites!
Small place - limited seating - Thai Fried Rice (Beef - $2 upcharge) was average - sorry I didn’t stay with Little Bangkok a mile down the road - figured I try this place - first/last time.
The BEST Thai in the area, never had an issue with any order. Cannot recommend this place enough!
Enjoyed my first visit. I'll go back
Ordered carryout. Food was pretty good. Didn't care for some of it but that is probably just personal preference on seasoning and flavor profiles. It is a bit expensive especially on the appetizers. Smaller portions. The Pad Thai was good and it was more of a family portion ! I would definitely eat there again.
We order the drunken noodles and yellow curry they are delicious! Very clean tasting and always alot of meat in the entree! Definitely a new favorite! Thai tea is very good as well!
In my opinion this is the best Thai food in the Knoxville area. I have tried almost everything on the menu and have not been disappointed yet. Everything is so flavorful and just plain delicious. Sometimes it can take awhile for your food to come out, but honestly it's worth it for consistently amazing food.
Drunken Noodles were good except a little dry. I did not ask for any spice to be added to them so maybe that would have made a difference. I called to order them to go and they said it would be about 45 mins. I was willing to wait but wish they would have been a little better. Also, $15 I think and did not come with anything else.
I have known this amazing family for a long time. They have treated not only me with amazing hospitality and generosity but my family as well. When I found out they had opened this restaurant I knew I had to go and see it! The food is out of this world! The atmosphere is outstanding! They are growing so fast and will need more space soon! The amazing, loving, kind and one of a kind family will always have my business and future recommendations!
Best Thai curry I have found in the area.
Everything was flavorful and fresh.
The crab ragoon are in my top favorites for the area.
In addition to my entree of drunken noodles (which were amazing), I ordered the Pin Thai salad. I don't know how they made the simplest ingredients taste so good but they did!
Highly recommend!
It is a smaller place so keep that in mind. I went on a Sunday mid afternoon and did not have a wait.
Really good food. Expect a long wait for the food but it is made fresh so understandable.
I had the Chicken Pad Thai and it was delicious. Portions are large and the price is right. We got there a few minutes before opening and there was already a line. This place is clearly popular and for good reason!
This food is excellent!!! So thankful they are close by!!
Clean and service was excellent. Plentiful and tasty. My hubby and I share one meal. And we were so delighted. Quite and spacious for small groups. Non-smoking, love it. Even has ratings for how hot and spicy. 1, 2 and 3
Sneaks up on you. So good we choose 2..lol
We like heat and favor. Can be seen from street no issue with parking. Prices are reasonable for the quality and Serving sizes. A place you will enjoy come to and going back too.
I loved Pin Thai's chicken fried rice with broccoli and onions! The pot stickers was too delicious, do NOT miss this appetizer here! The music was far too loud to communicate or hear my family talking - this was my only complaint.
Best Thai food ever! Green curry is my personal favorite, but my husband likes the noodle dishes. Level 2 spice is my max, so be careful. No decor or atmosphere, just good food.
Absolutely delicious, not too spicy. Made fresh + great flavors.
Highly recommended!!
They have all authentic Thai food on the menu.
Kao Soi is a must! It tastes the same as when you eat in northern Thailand.
Moo Yang & Crying Tiger are also very good.
Don't forget to order homemade coconut ice cream. I’d recommend pairing it with mango sticky rice, you will thank me. LOL
Went with the whole family. Usually at least one of us does not like what we ordered at a new restaurant. Not here! Everything was delicious!!! This our new go to Thai restaurant.
Great attentive staff and the veggie curry with tofu was awesome . The Thai drinks were great! My Lady and I really enjoyed the freshness. Hope to return in the future.
Overall great place amazing food and staff was great
I’ve eaten a lot of Thai food, and this is probably the best I’ve ever eaten. It definitely lived up to all the 5 star reviews. Clean place, friendly service, and the food was perfect.
Food is fantastic! Staff is really nice, knowledgeable, and patient.
Excelent food, great and fast service. Cook to order and specials outstanding
Yummy x 10
I had the cashew chicken at level 3. It was spicy but delicious. The spring rolls were excellent as well.
I got takeout and was pretty blown away by the food. The khao soi was incredible - amazing flavor. REALLY enjoyed the fried taro and pad thai as well. Looking forward to the opportunity to have it again and try other menu items.
This place has replaced Surin as my favorite Thai restaurant in Knoxville. There is so much love put into their food and everything is so fresh. No lie, their regular sweet tea is off the charts. Who would have thought?!
Careful, will ruin pad Thai for you in the future. Best I've had. Hands down.
Delicious!
Food was OK. Veg. Pad Thai had very little vegetables in it (mostly just sliced carrots) and tasted way too fishy. The beef ginger sauce was good. Also, parking was a pain.
Amazing Thai food
Needs more staff
Very busy place. Yummy food.
Amazingly Authentic Thai Food!

Great portion sizes and attentive staff, clean and crisp atmosphere. Excellent food, excellent value.
Yummi for your tummy,!!
Such incredible food! I went with friends that have traveled to Thailand for an extended stay, and they said the food felt like it was from that country. I also love that they don't hold back on the spiciness, (if you ask for it!) I will be coming back again soon!
The best Thai food in Farragut.
Aggressive tip seeking but good food.
Went there a few times. The last time, we called them beforehand to confirm if we would be able to dine-in since it was 1 hour before their closing time. The guy over the phone said we could go in, and to expedite things I also placed the order over the phone, so that it takes less time for us to finish business. Upon arriving, the waitress lady told us that are closing and we are not to be served. We told her that I have spoken to the guy over phone and our order is being processed. Upon confirming with the guy she pointed us to a table, seemingly very annoyed, mentioning that we have limited time to finish our food. When we asked for water she did not even respond. We felt very uncomfortable for her hostile behavior. We barely finished our meal and got out of there, while there were other customers still having their meal.
Everything was just ok.
Dinner portion ($16) was more of a lunch portion. Food was ok, not as good as many others. No veggies in the khao soi, which usually it comes with. Their noodles were very good. I'd prob suggest one of their noodle dishes if you go.
Service was good. Very attentive.
Good but not great. Gets busy at lunch. 100 feet from interstate so convenient if craving this style, order 1,2, or 3 spicy level. 2 is quite spicy, I order 1 level to enjoy, 2 with drunken noodles is almost too spicy hot to enjoy meal. Full mounded plate of food, often get a to go box unless one is a big eater.
Well made food.
If you want a super clean restaurant with very accommodating owners & great service considering how busy they often are, this IS the best in the area. Food is enjoyable & filling. Tea served in beautiful earthenware mugs, so order some! I've enjoyed every single visit. Do not be surprised at how busy they can get- this says it all!!
This is the best Tai place ever.
Didn’t have the deep, savory, sweet and spicy flavor I’m used to getting from other Thai restaurants.
Great food, will definitely be back.
Yet another great meal! The quality of the meal and the services are excellent
So far very impressed with food. They are extremely busy might have to wait but it's worth it
Best pad thai I have ever had!!
This is high quality food. We just started coming here and it’s fantastic! Try the Potstickers as they are representing of what they should be.
This food was amazing!!! We had Tom kha soup to start and it was the best we have ever had! For entrees we had pad Thai level 3 and I had red curry level 2 and it all tastes so so good! Highly recommend!
Excellent food and well prepared. I'll not had a bad meal here. Seek it out.
Favorite Thai
I tried this place last night and it was so good! I got there about 5:45 on a Friday and there was only one other table, but the place filled up very, very quickly starting at 6. I'd recommend getting there a little early to beat the rush. The two employees working were so nice and they did a great job handling the huge crowd of tables, plus all the to go orders they were getting.
Food takes quite awhile here, but it is so worth it. We ordered right before 6 and got our food (pad thai w/chicken and pad thai w/tofu) around 6:45. It's totally worth the wait, but I just wanted to mention. They do have a sign by the door saying food will take about 40-60 minutes.
The Pad Thai was amazing! It's a little sweet and the spice level was perfect. They also put a lot of tofu in the dish and it was really good. Highly recommend this place, just be prepared to wait a bit!
We had chive cake, fried taro, khao soi, and tom yum. Everything tasted incredible, and even though they were super busy, the service was very good. Will come back ASAP!
Absolutely spectacular. Run by a wonderful family, portions are generous, place is immaculately clean, and the taste is *chef’s kiss*. This restaurant is extra special to me because the first time I ate here I was 40 weeks pregnant and my water broke right after (we were back at home, thankfully). I could eat everything on the menu - I think I did that night. Best quality food, staff, and atmosphere. If I’m ever on death row this will be my last meal. Can’t say enough!!
Order a few dishes for take out. The drunken noodles was a little plain and needed more flavoring. Portions was good.
Service and food was amazing.
Can’t say enough about this place. Food is amazing. Me and my boyfriend are opposite ends of the spectrum on heat and PinThai delivers for both us. Wonderful family that owns it and genuinely kind. After reading these reviews I will have to try some other things here.
My family and I were heartbroken when we learned Taste of Thai closed last week. We love Thai food! We decided to try Pin Thai… we are no longer sad! The food is ten times better than TOT. We will be back very soon!
Best Thai in Knoxville.
Taste of Thai boss’ legacy lives on.
The food is fresh and delicious!
Great Thai food. The chicken Pad Thai and beef Pad See Ew had tons of flavor. Staff was very friendly!
Some of the best Thai food I've had in a while
Most authentic Thai food I’ve seen in Knoxville
Everything was delish, will be back
Food is very freshly made to order. Flavors and textures of the few dishes I have tried are wonderful.
This is by far the most flavorful, delicious curry I have had in my entire life! The service was top tier, the place was spotless, and the intimate setting made this a perfect place for great conversation. What a wonderful hidden gem! I’ll absolutely be back time and time again.
Just ate here for the first time. I highly recommend it. I had the chicken potstickers and basil sauce with chicken. The sauce that came with the potstickers was great. The potstickers are fried so it would be great if they could add steamed as an option. I got the entree at a spice level 2 and will try level 3 next time.
Fantastic. Very clean quaint Thai eatery. Best thai between Knoxville and Maryville, our family loves Thai food and this place wins out for us.
Highly recommend
The best Thai food I’ve had in a while! Pad Thai was very flavorful and had the classic flavors it should, I was very pleased. Will definitely be coming back! So happy to have Thai food of this caliber in Knoxville. Staff is very kind as well.
This place is authentic and very delicious! Panang Curry was on point! Tom kha soup is delicious and always have it first to rate the authenticity of Thai food.
Best Thai food in Knoxville. We've been going regularly since they opened and have never been disappointed. Do yourself a favor and enjoy the drunken noodles 😋
I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while so I was excited to try Pin Thai's takeout! The first time, I ordered the yellow curry with chicken at a level 3, and it was incredibly delicious. The flavors are delicate yet pack a punch. The spicing level is perfect! Hot enough to enjoy the heat from each bite building, but not so hot that you're scared about what you've just done! My partner got the Penang curry which he loved. We also ordered the potstickers, which were very flavorful, savory, and crispy. This last time, we both ordered the green curry with chicken (level 3) and I liked it just as much as the yellow. We also ordered an additional appetizer, which were chicken wantons. You must try this app, it's so satisfying!
I'm looking forward to dining in at Pin Thai. It's definitely my new favorite Thai restaurant in Knoxville!
The rating well represents this place, it’s delicious- their khao soi is amazing. Quick service, quality food, and accurate spice levels (spicy is actually spicy!)
First time here. All 4 of us really enjoyed the food. Will come again.
Try the amazing Khao Kai Jiew (Thai omlette)
Drunken noodles level 3 are primo 👌
I temporarily passed out eating the soup cause it was so good. A note - spicy is out of 3 but it's not as spicy as you think
Delicious!
So good, everything we tried was really yummy!
Amazing authentic food, great price, great service, friendly staff, and great ambiance. This establishment is worth checking out.
