Mid February 2025. This is my second visit here in Sioux Falls. The last time I was here for a layover was 10 mthz ago. With my working flight being scheduled later in the afternoon I decided to explore a lil' and browse the local area. Upon my exploration I stumbled upon this Asian fusion restraunt. It was so nice to find a restraunt that served Thai curries and tom yum, asian beef stew, Vietnamese pho, Chinese dishes including wonton soup, and even Japanese sushi, sashimi and maki rolls. Only thing missing is ramen lol oh and I personally like tom kha more than tom yum. Everything I had from the fresh pork and shrimp spring roll, to my maki and chef zombie roll to the wonton soup and all the dipping sauces were delicious. The sushi chef Kim had such a great attitude and presence. I had the pleasure of chatting w/ him briefly as we was taking my order since my waitress wasn't near by to finish taking my order. I rate his service awesome, my waitress wasn't as inviting but at the same time wasn't rude jus' lacked in providing the customer service I have come accustomed to. Luckily Mr. Kim was able to shift my experience for the better. So mahalo (thank you) Sushi Chef Kim for providing such a great first time experience here at this amazing restraunt. Next time I'm in town I want to try the mango chicken and one of the Thai curries. Definitely recommend stopping by if you are a sushi and Asian food lover like me. All the food that was served was packed full of flavor and tasted even better than they appear. And they appeared like a work of culinary art. Can't wait till I have another trip here. I'll definitely be back

Our food was over $40 dollars. We got two appetizers, two drinks, and a papaya salad. It would be worth it if the food was worth raving about. I got the beef satay. It was like eating rubber it was over cooked and low quality. Son got the chicken satay. He said it was okay. He loves chicken satay he usually always get it’s when we go to an Asian restaurant that offers it. It’s not on a stick and it’s not flavored like a normal satay. Almost as if the meat was previously frozen and they warmed it up.

The papaya salad was good! You get a lot! It comes with one order of sticky rice. Which comes in a Saran Wrap warmed up bag. 1st it was extremely hot and hard to open. 2nd the idea of the rice being nuked in a plastic wrap is not appealing. Knowing that when plastic is heated it seeps into your food.

I got a Thai Tea and asked for a little more cream which they sweetly brought quickly. Service was great! The restaurant was newer so clean. The food not so good. We love Asian food and this missed the mark.

The restaurant has nice decor and quick service. I was seated right away and someone came to get my order as soon as I put the menu down the food came quite quickly.

The mango bubble tea didn't taste much like mango. It's more a milk tea taste as well, sorta bland but at least not overly sweet. Some may really like it but it's not what I expected.

I got the spring rolls. There is a choice of shrimp or pork. The rolls were good, tightly wrapped with vermicelli noodles and lettuce. They were served with two sauces, but neither was the traditional peanut sauce that goes so good with these rolls at the many other restaurants I've had them at.

The shrimp pad se ew was alright but had a bit of a burnt flavor. There was plenty of shrimp.

Your tastes may be different than mine but the food to me was average. They have a pretty extensive menu with different Vietnamese dishes and Thai dishes. They also serve sushi rolls.

A very pleasant experience overall - probably more in the 4.5 star range! Given the wide assortment of menu items ranging from sushi to Vietnamese to Thai, I was a bit concerned about the flavor authenticity. However, the flavor and the presentation of the Thai food were solid and it was a very enjoyable meal for us. Sushi was ok, but I didn’t feel the flavor profile came through as well as it did for the Thai food.

Service was very good. They were quick and attentive and a team member even went out and put out the awning outside when sunlight began hitting our table too much. The decor where we sat in the front was clean, simple, and on point - more like a Japanese eatery. I did walk to the back of the restaurant and it was more of a traditional Asian/Chinese restaurant feel.

Of note: The bathroom is on a second floor of the office building that the restaurant is in and it requires a passcode. There is street parking right outside; it is metered Mon-Fri until 5 pm and can pay in coins or credit or app.

HOLY BUCKETS!!! What an amazing place to have authentic food. Was honestly the best Pho we have had since moving from WA state. 🥰. Absolutely can’t wait until we go back! Would I recommend? YES!!!

Although the restaurant was packed with a wait out the door, seating time was reasonable and we were impressed with the menu selection. Our food came quickly - the service was very good, and our meals were delicious! We enjoyed the assortment of sauces, and we even found a new favorite! Update: We returned with our kiddos and found this to be family friendly. The kids loved the customized chopsticks (and even brought them home to practice)!

I have reservations about the authenticity of this place. It bills itself as Asian fusion, offering a mix of various Asian cuisines, but it falls short of delivering authentic flavors.

To start, we ordered the chicken wings and dumpling bag, both of which were deep-fried. The dumpling bag was basically dumplings filled into a bag shape and deep-fried, nothing particularly innovative. The chicken wings lacked seasoning and flavor.

For my main dish, I had the combination pho. The flavor was decent, but the portion size was smaller compared to other Vietnamese restaurants I've visited, though it was still quite filling. Despite requesting no cilantro, my dish arrived with cilantro initially, but they promptly corrected it upon request. My partner ordered drunken noodles, but a different dish was brought out. We opted not to send it back due to slow kitchen service and time constraints.

We didn't try other dishes, but the menu offerings seemed more tailored to Western tastes, which may have contributed to the higher pricing. Overall, while the food was okay, it didn't quite meet the expectations of authenticity.

This place is great! Food was fast and delicious! Had several vegan options (just order anything 'vegetarian' and let them know. The waitress clarified whether I wanted eggs, which was awesome, cause I forgot to say without.

Our sever kim was awesome very knowledgeable and great customer service he recommended the laddy gaga roll and it was the best sushi I've ever had.

We are regulars here because of the consistently high quality and affordable meals—particularly, the pineapple fried rice, which is phenomenal! Recently started going to their newly opened Louise Ave location and are loving it. Budi was a wonderful server. Overall very satisfied with Pho Thai!

Best Asian cuisine we've had in Sioux Falls. The spicy edamame was a fantastic way to start the meal.

After wanting to try Pho Thai for quite some time, me and my wife finally decided to order some carry out dinner. Kung pao chicken, orange chicken, and crab Rangoon, almost $50. The crab Rangoon is the only thing saving this from being a 1 star review, we both enjoyed it. The kung pao chicken tasted nothing like it should. I understand not everywhere will taste exactly the same, but this wasn't even close to what you would expect when ordering kung pao chicken. All I could taste was sesame oil and soy sauce. Wife said the orange chicken from hyvee Chinese is better than what she got from pho thai this evening. We could have went to Panda Express and been happier with the food along with spending half the money. Highly disappointed and likely won't bother going back.

The food was a disappointing experience overall. Their Beef Fried Rice is, quite frankly, just rice. You can barely detect any beef—it’s essentially a mountain of rice, and you’ll have to dig hard to uncover the rare piece of meat. Similarly, the Vietnamese BBQ ribs were underwhelming, with an overwhelming amount of onions and just a hint of meat clinging to the bones. It felt like paying for a plate of BBQ onions rather than ribs.
On the positive side, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere has a nice, casual vibe. However, if you're looking for a memorable dining experience, especially in terms of food quality, this place may not deliver.

The place and service were good. I wasn't pleased with the dish I had ordered (tofu pad Thai). Tofu was good and cooked well, noodles and vegetables were overcooked and oily. Small complaints overall, should have ordered the pho.

Would recommend stopping in downtown Sioux Falls at Pho Thai. I had the Classic Pho which was great for a cold night with some friends. Fairly priced and a great time there.

Unfortunately the curry did not taste like curry at all. I ordered Panang curry, it tasted like a bowl of liquid siracha with a Very slight taste of coconut milk. The steamed gyoza was good but that was about it.

I ordered takeout and they said I could pick it up in 15 minutes. I arrived after 20 minutes at which point my order hadn’t been started! I sat for another 20 minutes waiting for my food! So much for a quick lunch option.

Love the original menu already, came over to try the new sushi bar and it was delicious. New seating unique for this area and quality of sushi was great.

Pho Thai!!!! I can’t wait to come back and be in this restaurant again…. I travel for work.. I was at a job renovating the whole electrical system of a Walmart near this restaurant for 8 months and this was definitely a place that left a core memory for me and my family that made us feel at home… they have comfort food, definitely made with love.. The server became like family to me and my little family.. my son would always ask “where’s my bro?” (The server that I forgot his name sadly) but he was the best to us… he remembered our order since we would come almost every week and always have him as our server… these servers come here with a dream to better their families back home, losing time from their loved ones in their home country… yet, make us feel at home and definitely made it special to us the points where my wife is willing to move from our home in Texas all the way to Sioux Falls just because of the amazing memories this place has left on our life… God bless everyone working here and to the owner, you have a great restaurant here, great cooks and great servers! Many blessings and we will return someday!

So so yummy and not a long wait time. Prices are expensive for the amount of food that you get especially six crab rangoons for $10 and the cream it just seems like it's filled with the cream cheese instead of like you know crab and cheese so it was all right though I enjoyed it fully they're lo mein noodles were wonderful I also had the chicken pineapple fried rice

Green curry, yellow curry and red curry were all delicious. Pineapple fried rice was good as well.

First time trying this spot. Cozy, inviting atmosphere. Friendly, helpful staff. Delicious food and fair pricing. Definitely recommend.

3 tables seated after me were finished with their meals by the time my pad thai was brought to me. After sitting for another few minutes (an hour wait for food) I hunted down a fork to eat with. The pad thai was bland and very salty.

Nice venue in the historic downtown district! Great food, great presentation, and great service! Loved sitting on the stools by the window and watching the hustle and bustle of Phillips Ave.

Editing my review from a couple of years ago. Their food is still amazing but the prices have definitely gone up. Not quite as affordable as they used to be, but you do get a delicious meal so still worth it.

We dined here a few weeks ago. The food was good. I had the pineapple fried rice. This is enough to share between two people. It was a neat dish to try as it was served in a pineapple. I also had the crab rangoons which were good. The restaurant is located within the building (go in through the outside building entrance and then it is to the left).

We are from MN and came here place was lovely. Service was amazing and the food tasted wonderful. All the staff were just extremely kind and friendly it had such a lively and pleasant environment. If we visit South Dakota again this is definitely a stop we will have to go to! Absolutely recommend if you’re looking for some good Asian food. 5 stars!!

I've been here multiple times since they opened and have never been disappointed. The staff are so friendly and you get your food in a very timely manner! Everything I've tried has been very great and I'd highly recommend that anyone give this place a try! Plenty of food options, you can't go wrong!

Really great food downtown. Fair priced, delicious, and speedy service. They have this fried sushi roll that I recommend checking out, but you can go wrong with the pineapple dish either.

The sesame chicken is typically pretty tasty, but I've had it once or twice where it was kind of soggy, so I hope that doesn't happen again.

I've got Pad See-Ew for lunch today along with boba. It's not as good as I think it should be. Too salty and noodle still too hard. Boba is ok. Service is amazing but the food need a lot of improvement.

This is hands down my favorite pho place. The pho is phenomenal, you have to try the pineapple fried rice, and the sushi bar they have now??? Best sushi I've EVER had. Just amazing! The staff is always so sweet and accommodating!

We came in about an hour before they closed with our young one in tow, and the staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. My wife and I both ordered drunken noodles which were fantastic--portions were large, the spice level was on point, and everything was made fresh despite the late hour. Very good experience all around.

For our Thai selection in this area, which is limited, I have returned here more than once. Sometimes perhaps out of location convenience, but it is good Thai food. Depending on the time and day, service can be lacking, However it usually comes out quick so who really cares...

Ordered a large smattering of menu options for four. All were edible, but standouts were their spring rolls, so fresh and amazing! And then the green curry is transcendent - I will definitely be back for these two items! Looking forward to the new construction reveal as well :)

Got the chicken pad thai, was a little disappointed. Very strong onion flavor (large crunchy onions), which I personally don't like, but what was worse was the chicken. It tasted like maybe it was boiled in water too long? The texture was very unpleasant and mushy/grainy. The flavor of the dish was otherwise good.

Amazing food. Absolutely the best Pho I have ever had.

Not only was the food delicious, but the service was incredible. I came in with my 3 little kids and everyone that was working there greeted us with hi's, smiles, and happy commentary. They got the kids water when we didn't ask them to, grabbed high chairs, gave my one year old a spoon after he dropped his, and gave the kids candy as we were leaving. I don't think I've ever been to a public place, let alone a restaurant where I've been taken care of so well at a restaurant with my kids.

Food portions were huge and worth the price. I got sesame chicken with egg rolls and steamed rice. I left feeling full and satisfied. I will definitely visit Pho Thai again!

I cannot believe how good Pho Thai is. The AMAZING food, the professional, efficient, and kind staff, and the general atmosphere even when fully packed! We had a group of 7, everything downtown had a wait of over 40 minutes. We got to Pho Thai which was super busy itself, and were sat within 10 minutes! The staff are kind, and are obviously very dedicated to the presentation of the restaurant. We were served within 30 minutes of sitting, the food was downright AMAZING. I had the mango chicken, which had a beautiful presentation. My husband had the orange chicken, which was extremely tasty. One of our group had pho which came in a huge bowl, one had some sort of pineapple and rice dish, served inside the pineapple! Presentation, and satisfaction was top notch! The food was extremely filling, all 7 of us walked out stuffed with left overs. I know all of us, will be back soon. How efficient you guys were with our party size on a Saturday night, how delightful the food was, the fact that you guys serve so much food so your customers leave full. I am absolutely sold. The quality of this restaurant is up with the best in Sioux Falls. See you guys again very soon! My personal new favorite sit down restaurant.

Best place I’ve eaten! My friends and I were welcomed with the warmest smiles. The food was so good, it was nostalgic almost. It reminded me of my grandmothers cooking and when I tried the classic pho it left me with a really good feeling! Service was amazing as well. They weren’t too overbearing and it wasn’t overwhelming. The server came at perfect times to check in on us. As we left we got a goodbye from almost every person. Not only that it was affordable! We are definitely adding Pho Thai on our go to restaurant. It is worth the downtown traffic and finding a parking spot lol

I came here for the first time with my friends and I was not disappointed. The service was amazing and we got sat right away even during a busy holiday. The food was amazing and came out fresh, it was the best place to have pho for the first time. The staff always made sure to check on us throughout our dining and we never felt like we had to wait for service. The price point is also so fair and reasonable, I will be coming back :)

Great food! The Vietnamese coffee was delicious as well. They are quick to seat you and the food comes out quickly. I accidentally left one of my shopping bags there and didn’t realize it until I got home (2 hours away). I called and one of the employees had found it and mailed it to me. I offered to reimburse him, but he wouldn’t take it. Great people working there! Would definitely be back again.

I got 2 pad-see-ew combination it was horrible hard noodles and 1 scallop per dish 2 squid rings for about close to 20 per place you'd expect more quality and food

I’m giving five stars, but I wish I could give 10! Amazing food! Traditional cooking and amazing flavor. The kindest staff and such a good environment. If you haven’t tried pho Thai you’re missing out. Try the classic pho, bahn mi, or honestly anything. Really good curry too!!!!

First, let me say to the negative reviews, I always respect your opinion(s). But as an objective visiting critic, my experience was nothing less than sensational!

FOOD - ordered the Thai Chicken Wings and they came out fast, fresh, and hot with a mild sweet sauce that I used the hot chili pepper oil to spice up. Huge and Delicious! My main course was the Seafood Noodle Soup which had lots of seafood (shrimp/scallops/squid). Great flavors that blended together with the broth, jalapenos, cilantro, onions, and sprouts. 5⭐.

SERVICE - a little slow to be seated but once I was, very attentive and accommodating. Prices were reasonable and kudos for military and first responders discount!! 👍🏼💰.

ATMOSPHERE - quaint and nothing fancy but very clean and comfortable.

If you like Thai and Vietnamese food, I'd highly recommend this place!!

Excellent Pho as always. It seems however that shrinkflation has crept in as prices are roughly the same as the last few years. However, pho portions are now in a bowl about 20% smaller. Disappointing....just charge me more! Nevertheless, I will be back.

I always feel a bit picky when it comes to Asian/Thai cuisine, especially since I'm always looking for something a little more authentic here in SoDak. But honestly, we were so impressed by all the dishes we ordered. I got food for my family, and we tried the springrolls, bangkok rolls, panfried dumplings, the red curry, general tso's, the pad thai, pineapple fried rice, etc. Everything was well done and delicious--not overly sauced or syrupy. The rolls are, imo, some of the best here in Sioux Falls. The service was quick, and everyone was kind. Definitely my new fave spot for Asian/thai cuisine when i visit home now!!

The vegetable pad Thai was AMAZING. Highly recommend it. My partner’s Pho was also delicious.

Highly recommend! Ordered pineapple fried rice, and was pleasantly surprised to get it served in an actual pineapple!

The food here was incredible! Highly recommend the Wonton Soup (pictured). The broth was everything! The Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken was very good too and it was served in a pineapple which was fun. I will come back to Sioux Falls for this!

Solid quality. I had the drunken noodles with chicken. The portion was huge! The Thai iced tea was delicious. Very good service.

This place was incredible, our server Riza was very attentive and gave us great recommendations. We ordered the fried gyoza and panang curry which were both to die for. The chicken in the curry was cooked perfectly and the veggies tender as well. The decor and atmosphere of the place was also wonderful and reminded me of the time I spent in Thailand. I will come back here anytime I’m visiting Sioux Falls!

Would love to give more stars, but I sat and watched my friend eat their meal while I waited for mine.
Then, mine came out undercooked.
Would have been good if this wasn't the case.

First time there today! Lovely environment, The staff didn’t make my husband & I feel rushed & made us feel comfortable. Our orders came out fast, & was super delicious!!! Will be my go to next time I’m in Sioux Falls.

Love the pho here! always very big and filling servings! I am from Colorado but I have to stop here every time I come to visit.

We did the fresh Vietnamese spring rolls that were incredible with both the vinegar and the peanut type sauces. We also did the deep fried gyoza which were a perfect texture and taste.

I had the Pad Thai that had amazing flavor especially with the lime on top. My wife had the stir fry kana beef which is basically beef and broccoli and it was very very tasty.

Absolutely love the food here! I have become a regular here. Not only is the food good, this restaurant has top-tier customer service. Had many good experiences with Kim (host/waiter). He understands the menu very well and takes care of his customers diligently. I highly recommend people to come here if you crave authentic Asian food.

I love this place!!! Everything I have tried is so good!!! Last time I went I had a green chicken curry thing and it had a kick to it. I wanted to take some home but I couldn't stop eating it.

I get the special pho every time extra noodle and load it up with spices, and its wonderful every time!!! They get a 10 out of 10 for there PHO !!!!

First time in town and trying food here. The host was amazing and made amazing suggestions for food. I ordered Summer rolls, Mussels, Yellow Curry chicken, and Chicken pad thai. All of it was amazing, hot/fresh, and beautifully constructed. Please see the photos. Will highly recommend. Thank you Pho Thai.

This place has it all! Location is great, it’s clean, the staff were all really friendly and that created a warm atmosphere. We had the fresh pork spring rolls, they were excellent and the sauces they were served with were perfect, especially the sour/vinegar sauce. We had the pork (because of allergies) but I imagine that the shrimp is even better. We also had the classic Pho, the broth was so flavorful, the amount of meat was quite generous and the fresh greens were great, especially the Thai basil. Our other entree was beef pad Thai. The flavor was also fresh, seemed they really use quality ingredients. Service was fast and as I mentioned before very friendly. Seems like everyone likes working there and there is good organization/communication between the staff.

This place is doing something right, I highly recommend it and will definitely go back to if I’m ever in the area

Chicken satay was not good. Chicken was dry and the sauce was bad. Other dishes were average. Service was good and staff was friendly.

All of our food was great, especially the little sandwiches! I got roasted pork and it was by far the best pork I've ever had from an Asian restaurant. So good! I also got pad thai which was delicious. The service was excellent. Very friendly server who greeted us with a smile. In always so impressed when servers memorize the orders of many people. He repeated back to each of us on our 5 man crew what we ordered. I know that's probably not important, but I still think it's cool because I wouldn't remember 1 persons order.

May be because it was weekday. Pho noodle was not fresh at all or may be wrong time and wrong place. Noodles for pho was definitely left over because i had to use spoon to eat noodles instead of chopstick and I ordered 5 dishes to go and it was bit pricey for the quality of food.

The food is absolutely delicious. I ordered the fried spring rolls, fried gyoza, and shrimp pad thai. BEST fried gyoza I've had since moving to Sioux Falls. Plenty of leftovers for lunch. I ordered carry out, so I didn't actually sit in the restaurant; however, the place was clean and decorated nicely. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely order from Pho Thai again.
