Choose-your-own-spice-level dishes served in an easygoing Thai restaurant with traditional decor.
This place has fantastic food and a great staff. You know from the wonderful clean smell when you walk in the door you are in for a treat. Everything is prepared fresh and it shows. The fresh Thai rolls with peanut sauce is one of my favorites and they plate it uniquely, totally worth ordering! Everything else is delicious as well. I have been here several times and not had anything to eat that wasn't amazing. It is quiet and easy to carry on table conversations and be at peace. Highly recommend you try this place, you will be back for more!
Me and my husband came here instead of going to our usual spot for Thai food because my coworker recommended. We ordered Gaeng gang, duck noodle soup and fried calamari. Sadly to say, we didn't like it. Duck noodle soup is blend. Calamari has weird breading and taste. The sauce is definitely taste like store bought which has a very strong food coloring look. The curry is average. The service is good but I don't see my self coming back base on that. We did see some people order the fried rice. Maybe that's their best on the menu.
Great flavor full massaman curry! Very thick and creamy. My wife got 1 star spice and it had a little kick to it and my 3 star cleared out my sinuses! Lunch portions were a great value. We will be back.
The food was far better than most Thai places I've been too. I live 1 hour & 30 mins away and was well worth the drive compared to the Thai restaurants in Charlotte. The papaya salad was more of the Laos style, but I love that style too. My favorite here is the seafood lad na was excellent, almost the same as Vietnamese Hu Thiu dish. The duck was juicy, according to my niece. The curries, red & yellow, we order was great. My husband, white male, ordered the all meat fried rice, and loved it.
The BEST Thai food in Spartanburg. Hands down. It also helps that the service is great. Don't expect very much ambience or music, however, there is a lot to savor with good portions. My favorite items are yellow curry with scallops &Tom yum soup. Lunch is served with a soup and fried spring roll.
Great restaurant.
I love their food and service.

Very good food! I had the Masaman curry, it was great. The place on the outside looked a little questionable but was fine. Inside looked like a Thai restaurant.
Me and my Fiance and my friend got some food here tonight on nov 12 and the food we got
Was absolutely disgusting
I’ve been enjoying Thai Taste for over 23 years and have introduced many other, now loyal customers, to them as well! First starting at their original location in Greenville and then driving 45 minutes to Spartanburg once they built their own restaurant many years ago, by far, the BEST and authentic Thai food anywhere around.
The quality of food is A+, the taste cannot be compared to others, and the drive is worth every minute for their deliciousness!
Your tastebuds will certainly be doing the happy dance!!!
My favorites: #59 Pud See Ew, 3-stars (spicy), chicken, with fried rice. Add a small Tom Kai Kai soup with it, 3-stars (spicy).
Appetizer: #8 Deep Fried Goong Kar-bark (deep fried shrimp rolls)
It’s fine. Not great the way Thai food normally is. But not /bad/ either. Wouldn’t come out for but wouldn’t avoid either
A friend encouraged me to try the House Noodles yesterday & I was "blown away" by how GOOD it tasted! I told the cook I would definitely eat there again!!! He suggested I try the duck next time! 👍👍
The food is good. I've been going here for 10+ years
But the service/attitude has really gone down hill and the nickel and diming has gotten out of hand.
Non-Cash Adjustment
ToGo Fee
And now they are asking for a tip on to-go food
They used to provide white rice with certain meals. It's now $2 extra
If you ask for just 1 extra sauce it's extra, which is fine I know people really take advantage of this, but the cup is BARELY even half full every time
This really sours the experience and makes me not want to go back even if the food is good
Excellent and consistent food (had the beef fried rice). Attentive staff. Nice atmosphere. 100% will return.
This is the best Thai Restaurant in entirely South Carolina!!!!! I growing up in Spartanburg. Came here many time. Now married and bringing my lovely Wife here. We all LOVED IT.
We have been going here for a couple of years now. Food has been consistently good.
Service is always fast and friendly.
It's a pretty authentic Thai dining experience, including the plates and diahware.
I typically get the Chicken with carrots, cabbage, and broccoli in a garlic sauce.
All of the curries are good too.
The egg rolls are great. I get those every time.
Another great thing about this restaurant is the pricing. It is extremely reasonable and one of the last good deals to be found in this day and age of high inflation.
Highly recommend.
First visit and enjoyed the food and service
This place has been fantastic for years. I’ve been coming here for over a decade now and it’s been outstanding food every time I come. They have plenty of options to choose from and the food comes out quickly.
Fast friendly service. Great tasting food
Katie is the best up front! I'd say she deserves a raise! She always has great customer service and has great leadership skills at such a young age.
Love the food here!! However they seem to stay closed alot! Just left there looking forward to it and they are closed again!! 4/27/24. Guess I will have to find me another Thai restaurant.
Food was great. The service was great. Will absolutely be going again.
Huge portions and the food is really delicious .
🤎
Our family of 5 stopped by. Food was ready in less than 5 minutes from the time we ordered.
Delicious Pad Thai, Pad Sie Yu, Coconut soup, and rice.
Great Egg rolls too.
We’re going to make this a regular part of our trips
Nice restaurant for Thai dishes. I had the soft shell crab which was delicious. A good restaurant with a nice quiet atmosphere.
There is not much value for the buck here. Got a single order of curry chicken to go. I was very disappointed at the small portions. Such a small scoop if rice and not much curry fit $15bucks! Tasted ok but portions not worth the money. Will not return.
Loveeeee Thai taste always my go to. Are on the pricy side but def worth it. Great atmosphere on the inside as well.
Food is always delicious and super portion size.
You have to order rice separate with entrée where as it use to be included
Everything here is first class. I love the yellow curry. The thai tea is excellent. Service is fast, friendly, and refills are filled before you have to ask. This is my favorite Thai resteraunt.
Love this place.
This place use to be the "hot spot" 20 + yrs ago. Now it has loose it's flavor. I use to think they had the best pad thai, now it's flavor down and bland. The stuff chicken wings aren't that great either. It's not the whole wing only the flat and tip, stuffins inside werw dry
The fish was ok, the pad see ew was on point though, otherwise the atmosphere is pretty decent. Try it and let me know what you think 🤔 😉
Best Thai food out there. Been going here since I was a child, nearly thirty years. I hope this place lasts a lot longer, as I even take my kids here now. They loved being served by a robot! Whatever keeps the owners happy and able to operate, I support!
Massaman curry has been my go to for decades.
If this place ever closes, I’m doomed. Best Thai around by far and always super flavorful - not the greatest atmosphere but it’s clean and good, so that’s all that matters.
The food here is always good!!!
Egg rolls were spicy hot. Red snapper was chunks of fish advertised as filet. Fried rice seemed old. All completely bad. This place used to be a good restaurant. Not sure whats going on there but I will not be back. Absolutely not worth it..
We had an unfortunate experience here. Poor service as well as proffessionalism. Despite how things look on the exterior the ambience inside is surprisingly pleasant but it ended up being deceiving for our overall experience in the end. We'll look for a different Thai place when passing through here again in the future.
Always a great experience
Always the best food, fresh, great presentation
Spring rolls are wonderful with peanut dipping sauce. Pork rice is amazing as well.
Foods really good and the atmosphere is quite and peaceful, definitely will come back again
Best Thai food I've ever had really enjoy the fried rice but anything you get on the menu is good
Go to for pudthai in spartanburg. The egg rolls are exceptional!
Wonderful food!!!!!
Everything was great!!!!!
Love that place, owners & staff!!
By far my favorite Thai restaurant in Spartanburg. Their food is always delicious, and you get a generous helping to boot!
It's the worst Thai food ever. The rice was hard and cold, and the service was even worse, with bad attitude. No apologies, no smile, and charged me for food that I didn't eat. What a mess. They need to learn how to cook and train their server to give better service. I will leave big 0 stars if I can. Stay away from this place. Not Recommended
The food is great and the service is very good. Worth a try
First time I have been back since they worked on the inside. So glad the white table cloths are gone, as now spiders are less likely to hide under the table top. It took me 4 years to go back as my last visit, I suffered a black widow bite.
Always a classic
Our favorite Thai restaurant in the upstate. We’ve been eating here for over 20 years. My favorite is the Pad Thai with lots of jalapeños. The yellow curry is very good as well.
Horrible Horrible Horrible! The wings have a burnt taste and was super small for 4 for 6 bucks and those arent "wings" at all it's flats and drumsticks. The rice has absolutely NO flavor taste like someone took boil in bag white rice and added unseasoned shrimp to it and it barely had any egg yuck!!! First and LAST time coming here had to trash it all not edible please that is not shrimp fried rice! Worst $23 ever spent!!
Excellent and huge portions. Service was great to.

Absolutely amazing Thai food! Better than anything that I've found in Greenville. 10/10. Will def return
Fast service, great food, great price!
Quick, easy, cheap lunch.
Very tasty food. Spacious place, great for big family meals. Not my taste in atmosphere.
It's casual dining with amazingly great tasting food. They have traditional dishes, and decor. Just be careful NOT to get 5 stars on your food, because you will be breathing fire! Lol!
We have been coming here for years. Clean establishment and great service. We like to order the House noodles with chicken and ask for spice #2. Just the right amount of heat for us.
Overall, probably the best Thai food in the area. I enjoyed the Mark’s Twin Plate with shrimp dish.
Me and my husband came here instead of going to our usual spot for Thai food because my coworker recommended. We ordered Gaeng gang, duck noodle soup and fried calamari. Sadly to say, we didn't like it. Duck noodle soup is blend. Calamari has weird breading and taste. I traveled to come eat on this Saturday relying on the time they had on Google and they didn’t update the new hours🙄. Great restaurant just make sure to update social media sites when you change your hours! Gas is high ☺️
Best Curry i have ever had.
Tom Yum hot pot was ELITE!!
Everything so delicious! ❤️
One of the best thai restaurants in our area. Fabulous good and atmosphere
Always good. Usually eat lunch but dinner was a huge plate. Worth it!
I've not been here for years. But the food and service were as excellent as any other time I have been there.
This was my first time visiting Taste of Thia and I must say it was an enjoyable experience. By the time I arrived the restaurant was not packed . I was able to get seated immediately. The waitress was very helpful in making recommendations and I tried a vegetable spicy noodle dish. It was exactly what I wanted. I give this place a thumbs up 👍.
Moved here from MN and been searching for good Asian food in SC for two years with no success, until my wife and I was invited here. This place did not disappoint us. This is our go to spot now.
We ordered food. I requested two items to hold and one other item. There is a charge of $2 for added item and no credit for 2 hold items which I didn't think it is fair. Food just ok. We ordered appetizer rice paper wrap, they just filled all rice and one mint leaf nothing which is not how my past several experiences of Thai food.
I've been eating at this restaurant at least twice a year for almost 15 years, and every time I get food here, it is excellent. The taste has always been consistent, and the food is fresh. In all these years, I have never had an issue with the quality of their food or service.
Good Thai.
One of several Thai food-centric establishments in Spartanburg, and they appear to be holding their own. Prices are reasonable and the serving portions are sufficient. I was pleased by currey offerings and tried the Massaman dish with beef. Heat options are 1 to 4. I selected a 3, and it was plenty spicy, but good. The facilities could use a face-lift ; however, this does not detract from the good entree option and service.
Haven't been in years, good food but miss the traditional costume that servers wore. Was not busy but a week night.
Waitress was slow, did not get the appetizer we ordered but the food was very good. Will try again when back in the area.
It was not bad, but not impressed. Noodles were mushy and stuck together, barely any chicken in it. Food was Hot at least.
Thai Taste is my fav Thai restaurant for dishes that are not Pho.
Did not get much food but they like many places are short staffed and doing the best they can. Restaurant was full with what seemed to be 1 or 2 servers.
Always great food! Tonite they only had one waitress and she deserves an atta girl!!
I've been eating there since the late 90's. Their food has always been consistent, even throughout the years. Best Thai in town.
I have yet to find better Thai food in all of Spartanburg!!! Amazing customer service, quick, fresh, and delicious!
Short staffed but worth the wait. Food was authentic Thai. Fresh Spring Rolls are excellent.
Nice staff, food is good.
Delicious every time
Wonderful food. Fast service. Wonderful Workers and they were so nice.
My first Thai food experience and it was great! Friendly staff. Customizable heat levels.
I used to love Thai Taste food but I must tell you that the quality and quantity goes downhill with every visit. I may give them one (and only one) more chance. Ok, I got takeout again last week. The #15 soup no longer is made with straw mushrooms. Big disappointment. Also, my food was not wrapped in aluminum foil as it used to be, resulting in cold food when I arrived home. Why?
The 1st Thai food that I had and still the most delicious. I love other Thai restaurants in the area but you got to give props to what made you love a good.
My first time there. Food was excellent. I will be back.
Food so good and service so fast I forgot to take photos. We have had a lot of Thai food and this one ranks at the top. Very clean, fast service, great flavors and the right price for the portion. We had pad Thai and yellow curry chicken with soup & spring rolls. Fantastic! We found a regular spot for sure.
Great lunch! The food is good, the service is amazing, prices and serving sizes are more than fair. The interior is nothing fancy, but that doesn't matter because the food and service are great.
Stopped in with my family on the way to our vacation and love it. Friendly and tasty food. Dishes were full and authentic. Highly recommend.
Great food and service !
Where to begin. I literally just finished my meal and couldnt help but come leave a review. Simply put this place has changed my mind on Thai Food. Before Thai Taste I had sub par after sub par Thai Food experiences throughout my life so I just thought I didn't like it. My boss recommended I try the Green Curry with Shrimp and MAN ALIVE was it good. All the different flavors and spices complemented each other perfectly without any overpowering the other as if they all came in waves instead of hitting you all at once. My coworkers were all asking what I ordered once they saw it. Next time I'm going to try Scallops instead of Shrimp and I honestly can't wait. Very good chance that will be tomorrow 😅. If you're looking for the Thai food of all Thai foods you found it here. God what I'd give to be the chefs kids or spouse (lol sorry hunny🙏). 10/5 Stars
Best Thai in Spartanburg.
Best Thai food in Spartanburg. No question. They set the bar high.
Thai Taste is not as good as it used to be! Thai Taste appears to be under new ownership as the menu has changed and so too has the taste of several of their dishes. I wish I could say the change of taste was for the better, but sadly, it is not.
Check your food for plastic!!! My next call will be to DHEC after I write this review. Waitress or owner whomever she was came to the table and said, which one the “big one” referring to my sister and her body image. The lil boy that looks like he needs to go back to his mommas basement came to the counter while I was getting my sisters WHOLE mean refunded and said “did the egg roll have plastic too” little smart alec. My sister found plastic in her food and when the cook came out to have a look, the staff actually ADMITTED and said that a piece of plastic had broken off a container and they didn’t know where it went. Well my sister found it in her food and almost choked on it!! I’ve never been treated this horribly at Thai Taste with such nonchalant, rude, hatred, body shaming comment, unprofessionalism, lack of cleanliness and quick attentiveness to where scraps of plastic or any sort of rubbish falls. I won’t ever be coming here EVER. It’s a shame because I’ve been coming here for the past 12 years!! And anyone I know I’ll steer away from Thai Taste.
Good food
If you don't stop here and eat then we shouldn't be friends 🙂 my favorite restaurant
Service HORRIBLE, restaurant dirty and unappealing, some of the food was OUTSTANDING, which is why it got two stars. I would’ve taken a picture and shown you but they were rolling the floor mopping device by the table and it smelled so bad I had to walk out of the restaurant. My father sister and friend were also disgusted, but we managed to stay because the food was really good. The fresh spring rolls are excellent, the Massimo on curry is some of the best, the pud Thai is way below par, coconut soup outstandingly great!!!
It was like the adults were gone and They left for teenagers. Maybe the good people are in the back, but I cannot tell you how bad the service was.
I came here because of the reviews, he may want to call ahead and see if there are any adults present.
Not at all good, no taste at all except they put salt that also not adequately
Great experience love this place we ate there twice last week
Thai Taste is fantastic! The panang is delicious, and the food is always ready quickly and without mistakes.
To be a place just sitting off the road it had really good food maybe a little on the pricey side but really good and the service was excellent the Thai tea very nice I chose bowl of seafood soup have to try it at least once
I'm vegan and this is my favorite restaurant period. I would drive 40 miles just to eat there.
Really excellent Thai food. I had the yellow curry and it was some of the best curry I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!
Our masaman and pineapple curry just raised the bar for us in terms of local Thai options. I can’t believe we settled for boring flavors before. Great depth of flavor and we will return.
Great fresh rolls. Excellent curry chicken.
Very good and authentic
Food was delicious. Service was amazing, the servers were so nice. Hard to find good food AND service in Spartanburg. So happy we stopped in today!
Shrimp curry was outstanding. Chicken satay, eggplant and pad thai were okay. Service was okay.
Bad service and mediocre food...
Great
