Intimate & stylish Thai restaurant boasting a diverse menu of authentic dishes plus a full bar.
Very cozy with a wide range of seating. I wish they had a more readily available bar menu, because we didn’t even notice there was a bar until well into the meal. My dinner (Emerald Shrimp) was very well plated and decently prepared, though my broccoli was undercooked and quite plain. My partner’s meal (Pork Ginger Stir Fry) was “very flavorful except for the pork”. There are several gluten free dishes (though they do caution about cross contamination) and many vegetarian options.
The service was wonderful, and the waiter even chased after one of our party when she left her phone!
Overall, this is a good place to have a quiet evening with friends or a semi-casual date.
During my first visit to Lime Leaf, a Thai restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, I found it to be a nice spot for a casual meal. The service was great, with staff members who were friendly and attentive. I can't say that there was anything all that special about the food, but it was a satisfactory dining experience. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the place. Overall, Lime Leaf is a solid choice for those looking to enjoy a straightforward Thai meal in a pleasant setting.
It looked authentic but the food really doesnt reflect its authenticity. I've had Thai food in Thailand, Malaysia all over the USA I know a bit or two about Curries n noodle, being Malaysian n all. The padthai I had was mediocre n the chicken red curry my better half had was ok, though not the red curry that we are used to. Nothing special...expensive though. More expensive than any Thai food we had in California, New York, Chicago or Georgia n we have been to lits of Thai restaurent. Service was very good though...I wish the food would have been better than what we had last night...
First off, I definitely give a five star to our service. Noah took care of us, and he was super attentive, and was really helpful with the menu. This was our first time at this restaurant. One thing we noticed when we sat down, it looks like there might be food splatters on the wall. We ordered appetizers, the fried spring rolls in the calamari. The calamari was probably one of the better calamari I have had an a while, it was cut very thin and was in larger circles, and the sweet chili sauce was really good. (I accidentally got a blurry photo of those)
The entrées we felt like could have been better. My husband got the hibachi steak and chicken. He said the steak was tender, until you start chewing into it, it then felt grainy. I got the lobster and chicken. The lobster was extremely tough. I was hesitant to order it because it was a new restaurant for me, and I know that lobster is a difficult thing to prepare. It had a little bit of a bitter taste, which made me worried. Although I thought maybe it was just the seasonings they used. The cabbage was also bitter, kind of tasting like maybe it was from the centerpiece of the cabbage. We spent $74 for everything, and we just felt like for the price it definitely could have been better. We really enjoyed the dimmed lighting in the restaurant, that part was really calming. Everyone seemed pretty happy that was working there, and again we had great service.
We really enjoyed our first time visit here! Our server, Phillip, was friendly, courteous and helpful with the menu selections. We had the lettuce wraps, fresh rolls, Thai golden shrimps, Tom yum soup and the Clay Pot seafood. Eat dish was delicious. The sauces were very tasty and Phillip explained each one well. The Clay Pot was filled with seafood, was excellent. The atmosphere was relaxed and the inside was tastfully done. The cost for our entire meal including drinks, was great! They had $2 drafts which were nice and cold on this hot day! We would definitely come back.
Lunch here is an unreal value. I get the special every time and the food is delicious, fast, and affordable. Simply the best place downtown to grab lunch.
This is a special spot for me and my best friend. We love the service and the atmosphere. The waiter is amazing. So friendly . And the food 😋 to die for 🧡
Restaurant is dark...several lightbulbs out. Some of the serving utensils and plates were dirty, and most egregious, the food was just okay. Nothing special...
Decent Thai food
I was verbally ATTACKED by my server BRIAN. He is the only server there. I came to have dinner with my friends for our birthday and he messed up our order and when I confronted him about it on the Bill to ask why I was charged for things I did not order, he proceeded to cuss at me and my friends and tell me to pay for it. The situation escalated very very quick and we did not feel safe around him. This person should no longer work at this establishment. I have been coming to lime leaf for years! I am so disgusted and disappointed
Not very authentic, if you like spicy food their spice really isn't that strong. The pad thai is very average, there are much better Thai and other SEA options in Spartanburg.
I arrived at 2:30 and was told by a gentleman that he had to leave at 3 and so he wouldn’t take my order. I was trying to order takeout. So if I could zero stars I would. In fairness, I have never been here before, but I won’t give it a second chance.
Delicious food. Friendly Service
Food Quality: Okay. There was no difference between the Pad See Ew & Pad Kee Mow.
Food Quantity: For ~$20 per entree, the quantity was not great.
Service: Not bad. We were greeted right away by the bartender. Rather than informing us that the Thai Coffee was unavailable, he asked us whether we wanted to try the Thai Tea. We like both beverages but would've liked to be informed before offering the substitute. Other than that, the service was not bad.
Atmosphere: This was our first time trying the food out here so this was also our first time experiencing the vibes of the restaurant. The decor is nice and the lights are dimmed. The atmosphere was the best part of our experience here.
Return Gauge: Food-wise, we prefer Lemongrass Kitchen. We may return here to dine in once in a long while.
Stellar service! Came in for lunch on Friday 9/13/24. There were already 2 large parties in the restaurant, and many more people came in after us. There was only one server on the floor, from what I could tell, and buddy that guy knows how to wait tables! Even with how busy the restaurant was, we got our food quickly and felt attended to. The food was also amazing. 10/10 all around.
Love this place! The food is always great! Love the atmosphere too! Ryan is the BEST waiter! He does a great job even when they are busy!
Very cozy with a wide range of seating. I wish they had a more readily available bar menu, because we didn’t even notice there was a bar until well into the meal. Didn't get a chance to eat. Walked in at 2:40 and was told rudely that they don't seat this late. They close at 3 pm.
I ordered a meal from doordash and requested it Thai spice hot. This was not it. This felt very medium spiced. Very disappointed and I'm not ordering from here again.
Food and service both were great. We were there for lunch on a weekday and it wasn’t very busy.
My daughter attended Wofford College and this is her favorite restaurant.. the entire experience was amazing…
First time here and everything we ordered was delicious! Prices reasonable and we will definitely be back. Ryan was covering the whole place and did an amazing job!
Drunken noodles were great!
La comida y el lugar son espectaculares !… Precios , muy competitivos , las promociones de lunes a viernes para el almuerzo a $6.95 son inigualables !
100% Recomendable !!
I love Lime Leaf. It is a cozy, laid back restaurant in the heart of downtown. Their Thai fusion food is unsurpassed!!! Y’all the Gang Massamon is my favorite dish in life right now. I order it 2-3 times a week! I get a double order because it is even better the next day! I could eat it for Breakfast lunch and dinner for the rest of my life and be happy lol!!! My husband has tried almost the entire menu because of my frequent ordering lol. He never complains about order from here their menu is large and everything is stellar! Do yourself a favor and visit ASAP!
The food was really good . There was only one server there and he was amazing, Literally running the entire restaurant.
I did a doordash from this restaurant on Saturday today is Tuesday I drove there they are so good

Always have a great experience here. Terrific entrees. The calamari appetizer may be the best I've ever had. Try the key lime pie if you do desserts - outstanding.
So happy to have a tasty meal in Spartanburg !!!! Service was very nice effective but overwhelmed....I DID GIVE 20% tip. Lighting on tables could be added (dark)
A large amount of food for $12.49 per person. Soup, a spring roll, and an entrée for lunch. Was hot, fresh, and quick. And all of our food was great.
First time dinner after hearing about Lime Leaf. Excellent choice! Quality ingredients with on spot preparation. Seasoning was perfect. Wide selection on menu. Priced very reasonably. If you want the heat, this place can provide it. Having moved from Greenville county to Spartanburg, this is one of the best Thai experiences in the Upstate.
Food was horrible
Good food at reasonable prices.
We got Joe as our server a few days ago and the experience was awkward and uncomfortable throughout our visit. At one point he was talking to someone on the phone really loudly at the counter. The overall experience was robotic and rushed.
The curry was delicious but watery and the chicken is in bigger than bite sized cuts.
The location is neat but the experience was a bust here.
The Pad Thai was not good. There was not enough sauce and it was so bland! However, the Pad Kee Mao was really yummy.
If you want the Pad Thai specifically, go somewhere else.
Beef Lo Mein was delicious. Also the soup and spring rolls they bring out at lunch is fantastic. Great service. Highly recommend.
I can’t come here for lunch anymore. It just takes too long. Only one server for the whole place (which seems to be the standard). Count on an hour to have the “express lunch.”
Food was good but not overly so. Service was good.
We have been here for lunch a few times, and the food was always consistently good. However, on a recent visit, the food was disappointing. I had the coconut chicken, the lunch special. The chicken was almost none existing, and what was there was tough. I hope this is not an indication of the future. It was a disappointing visit.
First time in years of patronizing here, I did not have a good experience. The portions were small and over cooked. Not the best service either.
The food was good, but I ordered the eggplant and basil stir fry with beef. I couldn't eat it because the minimal amount of basil and the beef had sat in the baking soda far too long it had turned into the consistency of fat and was undercooked to the point of being rubbery. I will go back, but I'm def not going to order beef.
Always great food from Lime Leaf
My daughter and I very much enjoyed our visit to Lime Leaf. Authentic Thai food, friendly service.
We stopped here because it was convenient. But the food was nothing more than Chinese, definitely not Thai! Only thing I liked was the lemon grass tea.
The fried chicken dumplings were everything I was looking for! Reasonably priced for the amount given.
Atmosphere and service were very good. The food was over sweetened... much different from other Thai food.
Great Thai food. Best around
This was my first visit, and I ordered pad Thai with tofu. I came to pick it up and it was hot and ready, and the server that rang me up was very friendly! I got home to eat it, and the pad Thai was very overcooked and soft. The flavor was almost there but it was a mushy Playdoh-like texture. With all of their other Thai options in town, I don't plan on returning.
This place is awesome, I got the beef red curry with fried rice and it was amazing.
My friend and I went last night to celebrate her birthday and had a very nice evening thanks to our server, Ryan. He was over the top at accommodating our leisurely evening, made wonderful recommendations and the food/drinks and surprise birthday dessert for my friend were excellent.
I will also say that the restaurant could use to be refreshed, especially the bathrooms, but aside from that it was just what we were hoping to have for a relaxing girls night
Always delicious, we come almost every week for date day.
The service and food was great. The ambiance of the the place needs some attention. I would definitely visit again. Not many vegetarian options in Spantanburg so I am thankful for this one.
It's fine. Not the same as it used to be, but I won't say no to eating here if someone expresses an desire.
It's ok. There were only 3 tables (including the 2 of us), and the service was off. I saw 3 waiters walking around. We got our drinks, and we waited about 40 minutes for our tofu lettuce wraps. Meanwhile, the table of 4 that was seated after us got all of their food before us. One waiter, that wasn't ours, told us "your lettuce wraps should be done" and then walked back to the bar and sat down. Our waiter walked by us a few times, and never once mentioned to us that our appetizer was ready, explained why we were waiting so long, or even offered to refill our drinks. Lettuce wraps finally came, and it was just ok. The tofu was swimming in a sauce, which may be the way they make it here, but every time you tried to spoon it onto lettuce, it slid right off. Our waiter never stopped to tell us what was happening, and he actually avoided our gazes when he walked by, and didn't refill drinks. My husband ordered pad Kee mow, and it was a ton of food, and was swimming in sauce. I got the Tom Kha soup, and it tasted watered down, not very coconut at all. There were food splatters on the walls, and the place smelled like cigarette smoke and old oil. It was dark. Not "cool Thai restaurant" dark, but so dark I couldn't see my menu. It took an hour and a half to get lettuce wraps, pad Kee mow, and a small bowl (really small) of Tom Kha. If you have ever had Thai food in any other city, you will know this place is not good. Save the hassle, and go down the street to Monsoon Noodle House.
Delicious food and romantic vibe. The best Thai food we've had. Our waiter did a great job and service. We will be back.
Had pad Thai with tofu and crispy salmon! Delicious and delightful presentation. Yummy and filling.
Always great food, great service
Great food
Not even close to authentic Thai food. Absolutely do not recommend, I’d give it zero stars if I could. I have felt sick ever since I got home.
The food overall was great, however I didn't like the timely wait it took to receive our food. Myself and three others were the first to enter the restaurant and be seated, a group of four men walked in right afterwards and received their food within 15-20 mins of ordering. However, it took 45 plus minutes for our food to be brought to us. Which resulted in us asking to our food to be bagged to be taken on the go due to having to report to work at 6pm, which also took another 10 minutes to bag. As converse university students using our flex dollars, we were also not informed when asked if they would accept this form of payment that gratuity would automatically be added to our bill. I recommend better service.
I don't like how you all took an hour to prepare my food, our waiter didn't even come back to refill our drinks and he knew he was wrong because he kept walking pass us. I recommend that the waiter should give better service and be more communicative.
The food here was phenomenal
amazing food and service. I was surprised to receive an egg roll and soup at all and even more pleased with how amazing it was
We had excellent meals here... pulled pork and shrimp and grits. Yummy meals and bread. Great waiter.
Lovely atmosphere lovely people and the food is yum yums!
Loved the Lemongrass Chicken. Service was good, especially considering that there was only one waiter at lunchtime.
The soup was very satisfying as well.
Been eating here for years and I've not had any issue whether inside or to go.
The food was good. However, the food was not gluten free - contrary to what we were told. My wife is a celiac and is having a severe gluten reaction. We have tried to call and alert them, but no answer yet.
Dressing for the Thai Chicken Salad was a bit on the thin side. Tasted good though.
Nice waiter. Good food. Got #3 spicy. Perfect amount. Lips were warm
Thai Basil Chicken is great! Very good service.
Jusy OK.
It seemed that there was one waiter and one person cooking. The wait was a little long but our waiter was attentive. Food was hot but seemed one note. I had the Gang Na curry and it was very spicy(Yay!) But the actual flavor was boring and the curry was thin. My friends had padthai and basil fried rice, everything was just ok, not great. Fine place if you want something easy and with a large menu of Thai adjacent food.
Thai staple in Spartanburg 🔥 Definitely try the Tom Kha.
This is a wonderful and classy place to dine. The food is delicious and perfect!
Awesome, affordable lunch specials. Great food as always. Thank you for your continued service.
This review is purely about their business practices. The local college has a prepaid dining card that can be used at the local restaurants. What Lime Leaf doesn’t disclose is that they add in a 20% tip when using this form of payment - and leave space for an additional tip as well. Most students probably don’t notice or care because their parents are paying the bill. Also, this was a take out order.
This intimate and interesting venue serves classic Thai food and beverages. Nice, inexpensive lunch, and they were happy to accommodate 8 of us with a little rearranging. I highly recommend Lime Leaf!
Don't get the coconut soup, all other dishes are ok.
Really good!
Pad Thai wasn’t good. No veggies, plain and tasteless. Another dish was beef salad, beef was too sweet. Not authentic Thai food. Not even close. Anyway, I’d like to suggest to hire a real Thai cook for the restaurant.
Yellow curry was 🔥
Место интересное, еда необычная и вкусная.
Food is great but I wanna know why my group of friends and I each got charged a $2.50 "split table" charge. I asked the waiter what that charge meant and was told it was for splitting the tables bill. That's the first I've heard of something like that.
The atmosphere was nice. I was disappointed with the taste of my food. The calamari wasn’t fresh at all. It was frozen calamari. I ordered the Pad Thai entree. My food came out hot and fresh but I’ve had better. I rate 3 stars because our waiter was very nice and attentive.
We eat here at least once per week! Great staff, wonderful food, nice atmosphere.
Walked in at 10:15 and they told us they were closed and wouldn’t serve us. We had a group of 3 and there was very few people in the restaurant. It also happened to be a Friday night so it’s not like they were actually closed.
Excellent food and service, can't recommend this place enough
Good food and service
I've smelled the food from the street here before over a dozen times, and finally went in to eat, and I'll tell you, they did not disappoint!
When you first walk in, you'll notice the decor gives you much to look at. Many pieces strategically placed along the walls, dividers made of plants, plenty of seating, and for especially large groups, a cozy wraparound near the back.
I had a taste of the basil stir fry and the ginger stir fry.
I had voiced my concerns over my significant other having an allergy to tree nuts, and they made sure to clean their cooking surfaces before preparing our food, which not only shows a particular attention to detail, but also shows that they have a great attitude towards their customers and the safety of such.
The basil stir fry was a perfect savory mushroom sauce dish. Not too heavy, and absolutely satisfying!
The ginger stir fry was light with just a hint of sweetness that paired so well with the first dish!
If you haven't been here yet, I wholeheartedly recommend you give this place a try! Their warm welcome and delicious cuisine will make you glad you stopped in!
delicious curry and good service
I just enjoyed lunch at Lime Leaf. I had chicken Pad Thai and it was perfect. The service was impeccable even with a large crowd. I would definitely recommend!
Good service and a good amount of veggies in the chicken basil. The food is a little bland but that could be helpful if you’re looking for something simple. If you like spice, recommend ordering max spice. I tried “level 3” and it had less heat than a little fresh cracked black pepper.
The food was fantastic. The place was packed. Clearly they were understaffed, as are many restaurants these days. But our server did the best she could do and with a great attitude. Kudos to the staff for all the hard work and a wonderful meal.
5 stars for the food,
0 stars for the 40 minutes of waiting after ordering.
Food was wonderful, as was the quieter setting. This was the perfect place for a deep discussion meal with my best friend. My Pad Thai was delish! You can choose spicy or not, which I appreciate!
I loved the food and the solo waiter was doing an amazing job keeping up with all the customers. I left Greenville and sadly left my Yellow Ginger restaurant. Since coming to Spartanburg, I've tried many bad, bland Asian dishes. The noodle house down the road wasn't terrible, but the meat and sauce was always dry. Then I came to Lime Leaf. Lime Leaf is the Yellow Ginger of Spartanburg. Thank you for the delicious food and excellent service!
The food was very good and delivered promptly
So glad we were told to try this place out. My curry was really good and if we lived in Spartanburg we’d definitely come back!
Food is good. Service is SLOOOOOW.
The food was fantastic, the service was great, everyone was super friendly and everything moved smoothly!! I will absolutely be back.
Fantastic service. Great food. Loved it all.
Service was nice, food was a bit bland. Better Thai options around Spartanburg.
We really enjoyed our evening at Lime Leaf! We were sat at the table next to the window and the setting was beautiful! The service was wonderful and our sever helped us decide what to order. We loved both the curry and the fish we had and would recommend this spot for a romantic night with a loved one! Thank you Lime Leaf for a wonderful date night!
This is the worst Thai restaurant I’ve ever been too. The meat (All of it) was soggy/mushy. The food was sauces with a thick consistency that tasted bland at best. I didn’t like my meal and had literally 3 or 4 bites and told my server I was unsatisfied. At that point he took it back and the kitchen manager came out and told me I could only receive 50% off of my meal because I ate half of it. I politely explained I didn’t eat half of it and I was not going to pay for that. He didn’t charge me for the meal but he did charge me for the appetizer that came with the lunch. This place is gross and I highly suggest you don’t waste your money there. I repeat think twice before you choose this spot.
These best part was the server, you know who you are. Thank you
Great food and atmosphere.
One of Spartanburg's gems. We have been dining here for years now, and we are never disappointed. The food and atmosphere are consistently awesome and the waitstaff is top notch. We love Joe. He has taken such good care of us through the years...he has spoiled us rotten. We claim him as part of our family, we love him so much ❤. For the full experience go visit Lime Leaf. You will not be disappointed!
Great customer service
Very delecious, but they need help
Was taken there tonight for my birthday meal, got the table in front at the window( the best table) but then it went downhill. The meal was good, but the waitress was the worst!! She acted as if she was a zombie, no smile, no interaction, was slow in her actions, she delivered food then disappeared, she came back once and stopped at the wall which divided the table from the rest of the dining room, and asked if we needed anything? A good 3 or 4 foot from the table our table, she wore glasses, blond hair pulled back in ponytail, tattoo on her right inside forearm. Overall meal good, service wasn’t
The food is outstanding and presentations of the dishes were above average. Service was very efficient and friendly. Drinks were very tasty.
Was in the mood for Thai and rally glad I went here. Great server, fresh spring rolls, chicken lettuce wraps and ginger stir fry with chicken made for a great overall dining experience. I don’t get any of the salty reviews left on here about the service or the food, both were awesome.
Best yellow curry I've ever had in my life!!!!!!!!! And it tastes even better the next day! Thank you Lime Leaf!
The Parang duck was excellent! Crisp skin and generous portion for the price. The hibachi red snapper was presented nicely, however, my partner was convinced it was more like a Tilapia rather than a red snapper. Due to the appearance of the flesh and the flavor which you get more from a freshwater fish than a saltwater fish it just did not eat like a ref snapper!!! Humorously enough, if he were correct (and he has a very polished tongue) this would be very hard to prove. We asked the waitress and although she assured us it was red snapper, even if it wasn't, how could she even know?? Although fish dish also lacked authentic flavors like fish sauce and spice, asking for the picked chilies improved the flavor dramatically. It wasn't bad at all, just wasn't convinced it was what it said it was. Please don't lie!
Tasty food, beautiful/creative presentation, big portion sizes, reasonable prices. Lots of good vegan options too
Great Thai food! The basil fried rice with vegetable was excellent. Lots of menu choices. Higly recommend!
My server was wonderful he got my favorite vegan dish made for me, pad thai. Great atmosphere prices and employees, I just moved back here from Montana after 18yrs and so far this is my favorite place to go out to eat highly recommend their food.
I used to really enjoy this restaurant until tonight. My experience was the worst experience I've ever had with a restaurant to date. My husband ordered me a meal they had posted online. The person took the order over the telephone with no issues. We went to pick up the food, the restaurant is 25 minutes from our home. When we got the food home, it was completely different than what it was online. The picture showed sauteed chicken breast, and vegetables in a light sauce. What i received was dried out breaded fried chicken nuggets, almost no vegetables and a cup of mayonnaise on the side. When i called to explain that i had gotten the wrong meal, i spoke with a young man named Ken that claims he's the owner. I guess he's the "new" owner because he's never been the owner all the years i've eaten there. He was extremely rude. He said the restaurant didn't even serve this meal. He said he wasn't responsible for this meal being online and that it was my fault that his staff cooked a meal that supposedly didn't even exist on the menu. He continued to try to argue with me for almost 20 minutes. He was the most unprofessional and rude restaurant owner I have ever encountered. I said, if the meal didn't exsist on your menu and there was a mistake online, why didn't the person on the phone taking our order just say that and I would have just ordered something else. He continued to be rude and say he wasn't responsible for pictures and descriptions of their food being posted online. I was really confused at this point and just if he would replace the meal with one that was on the menu. He refused to replace the meal. So i just asked for a refund. For me, all it takes is one bad experience somewhere. I will NEVER be a customer here again. I've never been talked to that way by a business owner.
Very good service and wait time was minimal
This was my first time here and I have to say it was pretty good. We got some spring rolls, the most amazing lettuce wraps, some of the best pineapple fried rice OMG and noodles that were very good too. We will definitely be back. Great atmosphere and good friendly service and very good prices.
Literal terrible service waited 40 minutes for check, received no greeting from waitress, and never got a refill
Not bad food tho
Been there a couple of times n the food has degraded also need acceptable sylverware cause is disgusting n ofensive
Great food...amazing service. Never a disappointing visit here. Pineapple fried rice is ridiculously awesome. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I love this place! I've been twice now when traveling to Spartanburg and it's definitely a favorite of mine. Reasonably priced good food and tasty cocktails. Excellent service as well!
Pineapple fried rice is amazing!!
My family stopped here for lunch. They serve individual dishes; not sharing dishes. Their services were good. We ordered several dishes: green curry, pad thai, pad-see-ew, fried rice, and fried noodles. Each dish came with a cup of soup and an egg roll. The dishes were okay excepting their pad-see-ew and pad thai were very salty - wondering if the chief did taste the dishes that he cooked.
Best place in town to eat thanks for the hospitality your buds from O.C. thanks brian
Fantastic seafood combination plate! Shrimp, scallops, mussels, calamari. Wow! And if you crave hot and spicy, Gang PA will rock your boat. I got the tofu and smiled through my whole dinner!
Fresh and delicious in every aspect!
I ordered the crispy fish with red curry. The staff was friendly, the food was spot-on. Highly recommended.
I ordered takeout and it took them over 30 minutes to make the order. I was just standing there for 20 minutes waiting while being told multiple times that it was almost done. I asked them what their goal was in speed of completing a takeout, I was told 15-20 minutes. I told them they were taking 30 and I wished they had given me an accurate timeframe on the phone. My biggest frustration was the response. There was very little attempt to make a sincere apology. I understand things happen, but responding so apathetically to a decrease quality (norm or no norm) really just sucks. People will be more forgiving if their complaints are responded to more positively. They just responded like I didn’t matter.
