Everything was warm and fresh. Must say that the place has a great vibe and made the family feel cozy on a Christmas day Lunch. Beautiful setting and ambiance. The food is absolutely delicious. I did feel the portions of sushi were a bit smaller but the drunken noodles and curry had good amounts. Service was fantastic. Be sure to make a reservation they do seem to be popular. I fully recommend this restaurant.

Food was good. Chef was entertaining. Chicken was a bit dry and bland. Our server was not good. She did not speak any English and definitely cost the place one star. There was an AC fan blowing really cold air on us and when we asked her to turn it off she grabbed a dirty mop and tried to clean it. Really? How does that make sense in any language? I grabbed the server that had been waiting the table next to ours and he fixed the issue but it took him a while to get that AC off. We were freezing. Prices were reasonable.

We had an amazing time Monday night celebrating my grandsons 12th birthday. The cook was so engaging and funny. Our waiter,Daniel, was attentive and knowledgeable. He suggested some amazing drinks. The whole experience was top tier. It was the first of many visits. 20/10

Les doy una estrella porque me toca hacer la reseña si no no le daría ninguna estrella, hice una reservacion para ir a cenar hibachi hoy día de san Valentin con mi familia la reservacion la hice con 10 días de antelación para las 7 de la noche, llegue al restaurante a las 7 pero había fila un poco larga y demorada en la recepción del restaurante, cuando logre pasar a que me atendieran en la recepción eran las 7 y 30 me dicen que ya no puedo acceder a mi cena hibachi porque el chef ya había comenzado a cocinar y que ya había perdido la reserva que si quería podía comer en el sushi bar a lo que no accedí y decidí Retirarme del local , lo que me parece una falta de respeto

We took my mother here for her 78th Birthday! It was her first time ever experiencing Hibachi and she absolutely loved it. The staff and our Hibachi Chef, really made this a memorable experience. Will definitely return.

Horrible. They told us to pick up our food in 35 minutes and we got there and waited an additional 50 minutes. Terrible service/help from the hostess

Miserable experience. The worst Hibachi experiences of my life. Abismal service, pedestrian food, started close to an hour after reservation. Only reason I stayed was because it was my little girl's birthday and didn't want to upset her. I will NEVER go back to this place.

Have been here a year ago and went back with a large group as I really like teppanyaki. Unfortunately, after sitting down a bug ran across the teppanyaki cooking area (which was still cold) and disappeared in a gap on the side of the cooking area. Not sure what it was, but it should not be running around right where food is being prepared.

The bar and atmosphere are great. However, you will struggle to enjoy the hibachi presentation if you don’t fluently speak Spanish. Part of our table could speak both Spanish and English and our chef did the entire show in Spanish for them. When he wasn’t cooking, he was only holding conversations with the other party at the table in Spanish- as if he didn’t have customers at the other end. Our server also would switch back and forth with language. Our chef also favored the women of the table who spoke Spanish and would continuously give them all of the extra food. Which is fine, but if you’re paying the same price, you would expect the same treatment regardless of background. This was our experience, but if it happened to us, it could happen to you. If you’re a tourist and this is on your list of “go-see’s,” I would definitely skip it.

Great ambiance!
We had Crab Rangoon, Egg Roll for appetizers. Then we ordered the Cowboy, Angry Bird, and the Pirate Roll. Everything was good. My only complaint was that the Pirate Roll was not tight enough and started to come apart after dipping.
Would go back for sure!!

Two members of our party were gluten-free and they were able to accommodate in the hibachi dinner. The gluten-free people enjoyed a miso soup and the chef used gluten-free soy sauce and cooked their food first.
The Yum Yum sauce and the ginger salad dressing were also gluten-free. The only part of the experience they weren’t able to enjoy was the ginger dipping sauce.
The group got filet mignon, shrimp, steak, chicken, and calamari and all enjoyed their proteins.

Food was alright. Chef cooked 1 thing at a time so everyone's food was cold by the time the meal was completed on plates.

My family has been to OKKO on two separate trips to Hilton Head. We loved it each time. The food is soooooo good! The service is superb. Our Hibachi Chef was funny and soft spoken. Our waiter Danny was very accommodating and gracious. Whenever we are in Hilton Head we plan to definitely return.

We have been going to HHI since 1997 and never knew of this place. So happy we found it and I must say, this place is the best Japanese steakhouse that we have ever been to. Service, food and price is the best any where.
This will be our to go to restaurant for everytime we travel to HHI.

We went here during a trip to Hilton head, the sushi was very good. Their dumplings were delicious. We ended up ordering another order of them.

The pad thai was too sweet for me, my wife had the hibachi chicken and liked it. Service was good, and the atmosphere was nice.

Went in as a party of 10. They told my mom it was a 2 hour wait. I went in to put our names on the list and got behind a family of 5 and overheard that it was a 10 minute wait so when I asked if we could be split up 5 and 5 at the next available tables since we had 4 adults and the rest kids and they told us it was an hour wait but a family of 6 and a family of 4 came in after us and they told them it was a 10 minute wait an the girls up front cocked an attitude with me when I asked why it was only 10 minutes for everybody else. Whilst standing there talking to them trying to figure out why they were seating others besides us, water was dripping on us from the ceilings. I also overheard a family walking out that ate there stating “over an hour wait was overrated when the the food wasn’t even that great”. We ended up going to Sakehouse Japanese and the Hospitality was far beyond anything OKKO could give 🫡

Our cook was funny and had lots of tricks that he showed off while cooking and serving the meal. He cooks the food to order exactly the way you asked. It was overall a nice experience. We would go back. And of course the sake 🍶was good

Outstanding service and food.

We had a great first experience overall having dinner here. Vast menu with lots of options and something for everyone. We had a reservation and were sat immediately upon arrival. Waitress greeted us quickly and answered questions thoroughly. Food was all delicious, not a single complaint from any of us. The only issue we found was that condensation dripped on us and our table all throughout dinner from the A/C vent above us. Not exactly pleasant, but we also would not want to sacrifice the coolness inside. It might just need serviced.

Cool place with a laid-back vibe. Dark ambiance with low lighting makes for a cool experience. All the staff was friendly. Hibachi and regular dining options. We just did sushi, which was delish. The menu was nice with good variety! Would definitely recommend it!

We had an amazing experience celebrating my grandmother's 92nd birthday! We ordered the steak hibachi and sushi. My grandmother never had so much meat in her life! The meat was tender enough that she could eat it with her dentures on. My grandfather was especially happy because he claimed the food was so good that it made my grandmother the quietest she's ever been in 70 years. Our server, Blake, provided great service and made my grandmother's birthday spectacular! We will happily return!

First of all, we consider ourselves regulars here. The best hot and.sour soup.in the county and my wife loves the red curry.

It was our anniversary sp we thought we would order special.

The clam miso.soup was tasty and different. Six clams in the soup was a bonus.

Then things turned south.

I ordered the crispy squid. I am.a big squid eater both cooked and in sashimi form.

This was not crispy. It probably was lighty fried. The texture was.like raw octopus. It was almost impossible to crew

My wife had the $45 lobster. It is advertised as a "1.3 pound whole lobster". It was not a WHOLE lobster like The Palm or Shun Lee's in NYC. I took the first small piece, bit down and it was a shell. I liked it clean and all it was was a 2 inch spiney lobsters whole two inch claw. My wife bit down on a piece she thought was all meat and also hit shell. A piece actually stuck in her teeth and she couldn't remove it until she got home.

By far some of the best sushi I’ve had in so long, and I’ve traveled from Vegas to NYC. It’s a taste of the real ocean. My husband ordered Thai food, and it is the most authentic he’s had in years. If I could give over 5 stars. I would. We spent more money everywhere else on the island, and this is by far the best food we’ve eaten for an extremely fair price. So glad we found this place.

The restaurant is beautiful inside. We had a couple of Rolls,Drunken Noodles, Vegetable tempura, seafood soup and a ginger salad.

My two friends and I got a regular both. Our waiter only spoke to us to take our order, give us the food, and give us our checks. Our entires were underwhelming and mine was slightly burnt. Then on the check she put gratuity that was 20% for only three people.

When we arrived they sat us at a regular table when we preferred to have the hibachi table for the show. They didn't ask which we wanted. After that the experience was fine, the waiter was attentive and the food was good. I ordered the filet with chicken. I was not very excited about having teriyaki sauce on the filet, it would have been better on the chicken. But all in all it wad enjoyable and I'd eat there again.

We enjoyed our meal 2 years ago when we were passing through so much that we went out of our way to return on this trip through. I'm not sure what happened but the hibachi rice was mushy and lacked flavor, the saki tasted funny, the duck spring roll was ice cold in the very center and the sushi was drowning in sauce to the point that you couldn't even taste the fish much less ascertain if it was fresh or not. Sauce should be drizzled to enhance the flavor. Quite a disappointment

We had a group for my birthday dinner that had hibachi cook food. Love the restaurant and service was good but our cooked food was awful. I don't think the grill was hot enough. Food was soggy and tasteless. I was curious why there were no other tables eating cooked food. So disappointed

Lousy food.

Ordered primarily sashimi which was quite fresh and everything was prepared to or above expectations. The only area of improvement might be slightly fewer options on the menu or perhaps a sushi exclusive menu as the number of options can be overwhelming to some. The portions are roughly what you would expect for the price when it comes to fresh seafood, but the size of the plates is quite oversized and will quickly and unnecessarily cover the table.

My husband and I are on our return from a trip across the country, and we searched and searched for a Japanese Hibachi restaurant out west and down south that would compare and this place came extremely close to our favorite Japanese Hibachi Grill in NE. Staff was great! Food was delicious! Enjoyed the atmosphere!
We would return if we make it back to SC!

This is the first time we tried this restaurant but it will not be the last. The decor is lovely and the flavors of the food were outstanding.

Ordered take out and honestly worst sushi I even ate .. dry , no soy sauce provided , zero flavor . Definitely would not recommend nor would I do dine in or take out again .

Our table was in a dark section, and we had to use a phone flashlight to read the menu.
My Hibachi dinner should be served sizzling, not just dumped on the plate. I asked the waitress why I had not received my soup and salad, as my entree had arrived first. Her response was
“Would you like them to go.” It was truly so dark, that I could not see what vegetables I was eating. The chicken was dry and in cubes, instead of slices.
My Wife’s meal was better. She loved her soup. The edamames were good, though spread out on a large dish that allowed them to cool too quickly, taking up a lot of table space. Her roll was tasty, though smaller than most places serve.
We will not return.

Had a craving for Sushi while on our trip to Hilton Head, and found Okko not far from our resort. The atmosphere was very modern and nice, our server was prompt and attentive to our table, but the Sushi was phenomenal. I’m debating staying an extra day just to get another chance to eat here!

I called ahead of time and asked if the sweet potato roll was vegetarian and was told it was. Then when I ordered online I put all of my allergies - eggs, fish, shellfish. They put eel sauce on my roll. They did not apologize and did not offer to remake it. Horrible place. Do not recommend them.

Had an amazing dinner. The sushi rolls were fresh and the tempura batter was perfectly fried. Enjoyed the raspberry sakatini as well. Definitely putting this restaurant in our rotation when here on our yearly visit.

Great everything. I had the tofu panang curry. It was delish!!!! Tofu is not on the menu for entrees but waitress said they can make anything vegetarian or vegan. Tofu was cooked to perfection too. Really good.

We both love Japanese and Hibachi food and eat them often, especially when traveling. We didn’t sit at the Hibachi grill since all were full and sat at an individual table. We both ordered the Hibachi chicken entree. It was fair at best compared to others we have eaten. The vegetables tasted a little burnt and the chicken dry. Server was friendly.

The young lady serving us was phenomenal. I want to make that clear.
Unfortunately everything else about our experiences feels like a page out of nightmare.I have never in my life walked out of a restaurant my family and i absolutely had to here. First we drove 1 hour from Parris island to get this supposedly 4.3 star place. We were there to celebrate my Sons Marine graduation. If i could rate everything other than our great server who was very apologetic it would be zero.
Ordered 8 Wonton soups appetizers for our guests and myself. I bit into first Wonton noodle and it had a staple in it.
My MIL bit into hers and it had plastic shard in it. Manger came out briefly apologized and went to front counter and questions his chefs.our family friends cup was stained st top of it and Then my wife's appetizer of sushi came out and the sauce had a very noticeable hair in it. We left at this point.
Manager thanked me for letting him know.
Didn't try do anything else to make situation better. If i were anyone else considering visiting this establishment i would certainly check recent FDA health inspections results before you go there.

We got reservations through OpenTable. Sat down immediately. Ordered the sushi sashimi combo and it was excellent. Service was prompt and courteous. The restaurant was not very busy. Overall we were very happy!

Great food great service

We had made a reservation a couple days early for 7 at 6pm. We received a call the next day informing us they would not be able to honor the reservation, but it would be ok if we pushed it back 30 minutes. We said that would be fine. When we showed up at 6:30, we were told it would be a couple minutes to prepare the table. That turned into another 30 minute delay. When we were finally seated and tried to order some sushi, we were rudely informed there was a 50 minute wait for a sushi roll. Because of that, we only ordered one roll. It took another 30 minutes for the chef to arrive and start our meal. Needless to say, we were hardly in the mood for the show. The chef did do a good job and had a fun presentation. The food was good for the most part. The chicken did get a little dry. Also, we were having a hard time getting drinks ordered from our server. One of our party had to get up and walk to the bar to get his drink.

I’m not one to complain much, but the service was less than expected. The food was pretty good, but not good enough to make up for the poor service.

My wife and I went to Okko on a Saturday evening with some friends. For us it might have been the wrong evening to visit as the restaurant was almost entirely populated by 20 year olds and we are much older. This would have been fine if the music playing wasn't so loud it actually hurt ear drums.
Surprisingly the main 2 or 3 rooms almost totally emptied by 8 pm, but I believe their was a party going on in a room out of view.
I was hoping to eat Chinese food, but quickly saw the offerings were Szegewan, not Mandarin meaning - extremely spicy.
It's from Northern China vs Southern China. Our friends ordered Chinese food and verified it was "hot"!

The fish was very fresh and very good as sushi and in the rolls. However, the rice below the fish on every piece of sushi - fell off in our hands. Also the sushi chef's who didn't look like they had many years of experience, did not put wasabi between the rice and fish. I had not seen sushi served this way and have been eating sushi for over 30 years.
Our friends went back on a week night and told us the crowd was of all ages and the music subdued. They had Hibachi steak meals and enjoyed them.
I would say to try Okko as there is a good chance you'll find something you'll enjoy.
Their bar area is very nice looking as is the entire restaurant.

Horrible! We had a reservation, 20 minutes later nothing, had to wait to fill the cook table before we be served. A group came in well after us and fed before we were even ordering!!
