Food is the star of the show. If you're looking for an elegant ambiance and full table service, this isn't the place for you. If you want a large menu of delicious Thai and Vietnamese dishes, then step up to the counter and order. This restaurant is busy, but that is just part of the lively atmosphere. Prices are reasonable, and the portions are fairly large. The food was delicious and was brought to the table quickly. We spent about $50 for 2, but we ordered 2 entrees, dumpling soup, papaya salad, and a beer. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available. Some items can be ordered spiced to your preference.
Listen love love love love noodles lived in Japan for 3 years… there is nothing that can top that… but Lord have mercy this was so so good… 😊 they are busy esp when cold.. … from DoorDash to go and inside they are hopping, that’s all we need to know… food is fresh, fresh vegetables, AMAZING what a cute spot… it’s a vibe… 🥰🥰😍
I visited Duke's Pad Thai for the first time today, and I was thoroughly impressed! This charming hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant offers an extensive menu with plenty of gluten-free and vegan options, which I appreciated. I ordered the vegetarian spring rolls and tofu drunken noodles, and both dishes were delicious. The flavors were fresh and vibrant, and everything was made to order. The staff was warm and friendly, and the restaurant (including the restrooms) was spotless. I’m already looking forward to my next visit and trying more of their fantastic dishes!
We came by for lunch and I was excited to try it! The inside is decorated very nicely. We got the messy fries to share with the table and I got the Thai soy sauce noodles (pad see eew) with roast pork. We ordered at the counter, received a table number, and then our food was brought to our table. The messy fries were really good! They had spicy mayo and sriracha on them, and they had a great kick to them. They went super well with the yum-yum sauce. The Thai soy sauce noodles, or pad see eew, was also really good! The only thing I was not a huge fan of was that the slices of zucchini and carrot were really big, so they did not feel integrated with the dish. The pork was tender and flavorful, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. The portions are very generous! After you are done eating, they have a nice area in the back where you can get some takeout containers. We really enjoyed it here and I would definitely come back!
I ordered takeout in person, because I couldn’t make my mind up by looking on the online menu. So many options! :) I ended up ordering from the noodle bar, the Tom Yum soup was amazing, the ingredients were fresh, the taste was great, and I LOVED the pork and shrimp dumplings. I have been hearing rave reviews about this place for a while, and I’m glad I tried it. I will be back soon!!!
This place is always packed and for good reason. The food here is spot on, wonderful employees, and great atmosphere. My family eats here and we enjoy every second of it.
Excellent food and great customer service.
Love it
The food and drinks here are absolutely amazing!
Outstanding Thai restaurant. The service was class A++. Thank you Duke.
It was so delicious! The employees were very helpful
Best Thai cuisine in Columbia! Sometime the service is slow due to high volume of orders I guess.
Great food, good options in a satisfying setting.
Hands down the best Thai food in the Midlands. The price is extremely fair for the quantity and quality of food. This is a regular spot for us!

My friend and I were looking for a Thai place in Columbia. We were here visiting for the weekend, and this is the most authentic Thai food I’ve ever tasted and had great prices. Staff was very friendly. I highly recommend.
Great and affordable!

I grew up Jungle Asian, and this hit the spot sometimes when I felt homesick.
Heads great things so we decided to try it. Was a bit cramped so we thought this was a good sign. The spring rolls were terrible- no flavor, odd consistency and seemed frozen, not fresh. We both got the green curry chicken. It was almost perfect. Good combination of chicken, veggies, broth and heat. Sadly, it was combined with mushy rice, not sticky rice. Certainly not what I was expecting as a lover of Thai cuisine. Not the worst place and plenty of other options to try. We don’t feel a need to return.
I have been going here for a while now, they always have parking, the food is always good, and the people are polite. I have gotten the pad thai, kimchi fried rice with beef, and the pho, so far I haven't had any complaints the food always tastes fresh and well prepared. They do tend to get busy during the weekend and there is usually a line, however it moves quickly.
"Where's the beef?".....ask for extra meat.....$$$
A great place to go for some amazing food that warms the soul. Their noodles bar that you can build yourself are amazing.
Not too many of these kinds of places in Columbia. It's a real gem if you enjoy Thai food.
Delicious food, cute place, kind people!
The customer service was very helpful. I love the many vegan dishes.
The food was good. It took some time for all the orders to come out.

Food is so good!!!!! Ordered delivery for the Vegetable Delight with tofu (yum!) and the Red Curry with chicken (super yum!) and both were amazing. Only complaint is we wish portions were slightly larger for the price, but it was satisfying. Highly recommend!
Excellent vegan menu
Went here because of high reviews and the place was underwhelming. I wouldn't say it was bad, just average. I've tried their pho with beef and meatballs, and the broth was very bland. Also, I asked for hoisin sauce, staff brought me a bottle of soy sauce.
Authentic Thai food, in a small, self service environment.
Duke's is good. I wouldn't drive out of my way to go, but they have good sized portions and as a vegetarian they have better, and healthier, options than most of the places in the greater Columbia area.
Duke’s is the best! Big menu and everything is delicious. Great for vegan/vegetarian and other restrictions. Staff all works really hard to try to make things run smoothly and quickly (it can get busy in there!). Truly can’t recommend enough!
Very high quality food and wonderful atmosphere

This place is nice, clean, and fun. I got the chicken satay and the beef bulgogi omg so freaking yummy.
Excellent Thai food. GREAT Staff. Flash cooked food. Young and vibrant clientele.
Return visit, daughter really liked the wontons and spring rolls. My signature Ramen dish was good.
Have gone back again and again, and has not let me down.
First time there this past week, and all I can say is it blew me away. Nothing fancy, it's in a small duplex store in Cayce next to a yoga place and escape room. The food was amazing though. The dishes' appearance were great, I've included photos. The pho tasted better than it looked, which was something else. I'm going long here so let me just say, the staff was very friendly and helpful; and all the food, both in presentation and taste, was mouthwateringly good. Highly recommend.
Very good Thai food and service 👌.
a bit pricey

The food was amazing 👏 😋
They have very good food, but I notice the portion size definitely changes when you place a to-go order.
I always get the Basil Fried Rice - BEST FRIED RICE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE and AT A GREAT PRICE!!
always great. had the sweet and spicy stirfry with chicken. my wife had the pad thai. wife and I dined in, however when we were placing the order, we asked for two dishes to go. They brought the “to go” it out perfectly when we had nearly finished our meals. job well done
Visiting family in Columbia. Ordered (individual) lunches for family. Food very tasty. Serving amount very filling. And price was VERY reasonable!
Great dumplings and pad Thai!! The only issue that I have had here is asking for extra shrimp, which was $10 more, and they literally had the same amount that I normally get on the regular Shrimp Pad Thai. Definitely frustrating and not worth it. Otherwise, the food is always good and so is the service. I love the cozy atmosphere, I just wish they had more tables because it gets very crowded at lunch!
This has to be my favorite place to get food in West Columbia. To me, it’s comfort food. I love to get the Sweet and Spicy Ramen. It’s the most delicious blend of sweet and heat and perfect for a rainy day. I also get the beef bulgogi with udon which is another 10/10 dish. Their chicken potstickers and great and their wonton soup is great. Also, everything reheats well so order a couple things and eat it for a couple of meals!
$16 for a bowl of $2 of ingredients is crazy. The to go order portions are way smaller than the dine-in portions.
Take it back to $7 a bowl for the noodle bar.
Also, fix your Chownow issues. Adding the Noodle bar set my order as Pad Thai and my order was wrong.
The food and service are always good. Just Pho You is my go-to and it never disappoints, plus there's always enough for 2 meals. There's nothing unique about the building but there s usually plenty of seating. Parking is available but not necessarily obvious. I always make sure to take visitors here.
They had a vegan menu. I was super excited about this.
Came to Duke's Pad Thai for some Thai food and was not disappointed! I had the pad thai and my wife and son shared the Thai basil fried rice. We also had some fried chicken dumplings with the sweet chili sauce and it was so good. Definitely looking forward to coming back for another visit.
One of my favorite places for lunch. The drunken noodles and that basil are both consistently great
Food is fresh and hot !
Love discovering new places? This one is amazing! Food was delicious! Workers are so friendly!
Solid spot with good food. The stir fries and curries are all very tasty. The Bangkok basil chicken is my personal favorite however sometimes go for the curry.
I think the stir fries outperform the noodles or anything else on the menu.
The place gets crowded at lunch but service is still usually a very decent speed!
No parking space
10/10. Staff is always very nice and food is delicious. Definitely recommend!
Odd that the pad Thai comes flavored with a lemon rather than lime. Definitely didn't work for me.
It was also a lengthy wait (more than 30 minutes). They were very busy it was also lunchtime on a Monday nothing out of the ordinary.
Great food and service.
The food and smell of the restaurant looked and almost tasted fantastic, but sadly, what I ordered was served cold; I don't know if this is how the food was supposed to be served, as it was the first time ordering there. I ordered the Korean chicken bites, though from it being served cold, it made me think they make it in bulk and refrigerate, then heat up to serve to customers. Which granted that ain't bad, but to serve it cold, don't get me wrong, it was fully cooked, had to check and make sure. I also ordered an udon miso broth ramen bowl with chicken, steak, and vegetables; the miso broth tasted splendidly, but the ingredients surely didn't taste as if it stewed in the broth prior to serving; they too were cold, and actually flavorless, it was only the saving texture and flavor of the broth that made the soup great to eat. I'd surely love to give full 5 stars all round, but the coldness of the food as I was eating, very off putting.
This Thai restaurant is a hidden gem! The red curry is the best I've ever had—rich and flavorful. The green curry is equally amazing, with a perfect spice blend. Their basic fried rice is delicious, and the vegan options are impressive, full of vibrant flavors.
The staff is warm and welcoming, making the dining experience even better. If you're craving top-notch Thai food, this is the place to go. I'll definitely be back!
Amazing food. Very nice people!
Love my chosen dish, Pad Moon Sei. I cannot tolerate onions nor spicy so this is a perfect meal for me. Broccoli, zucchini, carrots, and clear noodles. Chose shrimp to add. Absolutely delicious and very healthy. We added spring rolls and fried chicken dumplings. Photo provided. 😋
Fresh and delicious! Some of the best food I've ever had.
Went in to place a Togo order for just three items. After seeing people who arrived 10 mins after me get their food I had to approach the counter and ask if they forgot about me. She said yes oh sorry we will make it now. At least 10 more minutes I finally got some soggy fried tofu and sloppy street tacos but the fried rice was ok at best. If you like cheap Thai then go here. Not great over all. Pretty terrible and not authentic. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
GOOOOD FOOD! Service is always great and people are nice. When I want noodles or asian based food I go here! Plus there's a really good drink spot connected to get a drink while you are there.
Great food. Only complaint is that I can’t get true Thai hot level of heat.
Too many flies, but the food is good, I suggest some insect medicine
I love this place I been here 3 times and this was the first time I was so disappointed. I asked for shrimp and they gave me squid. I came back to the store they redid the order and still gave me the wrong food. I think your food is great but the attitude of the people who gave me the wrong food in the first place was horrific. I just wanted my money back. I don't know what 🤔 think. Very disappointed customer. I have a video of my food if you want to see it(manager)
My favorite lunch spot in town! Hot Basil Chicken and Bulgogi Noodles are my go-to’s. Would also recommend grabbing a drink from Little Bee next door after your meal.
Had the chicken fried rice and it was plenty and delicious, my go to for lunch on my way to the airport from now on!
One of my favorite that places in Columbia. Everyone is so nice and the food is always great.
Best Thai in Columbia. Nice staff, clean restaurant and great food.
Delicious pad Thai and honestly the best in the Columbia area
Loved everything about this place! Highly recommend if you’re interested in some good pad Thai. It’s also a tea spot connected them where you can also get a fresh poke bowl. Born and raised here and never tasted pad Thai as good as this place. 10/10
I would aim to go just outside the lunch rush if you plan to eat in as their tables fill up quickly.
Food used to be excellent years ago but now is just average. My chicken Pho had hardly any flavor. Green curry was seriously lacking basil, lime leaf, and flavor in general. The Korean fried chicken was very good but served only luke warm. Girlfriend was served "vegan" dishes full of fish sauce and their "vegan menu" also includes eggs.
There are multiple gnats in my food. I’m so disappointed because I’m hungry and I know it tastes good, but I can’t eat it. I counted 3 dead gnats and I wasn’t even looking, they were just there. It’s clearly a gnat infestation in the kitchen. I don’t even want to examine the rest of the soup, I’m sure it more..:-/
Small, bustling restaurant, order at the counter so grab a menu or take a look online because there are lots of choices. Three dishes with two drinks $44 Hot Basal with chicken-delicious stir fry, Bogoli noodles has beef, Thai beef salad, bottle of Peach Tea, Sprite served to table. Drinks and utensils just past the register self-service. The food is fresh, hot, beautiful, friendly service and clean surroundings. Park on the side not in front. Easy to miss it in a strip of buildings.
Fantastic first experience. Had the pad Thai tacos and Korean chicken bites. Will be back.
Should not be advertised as Thai food. Food served in stained dishwasher. I tasted 2 items and left.
Food is delicious but I leave this review to point out one thing. Don’t order online. You save money by calling in your order. Taxes are included in the menu price but they charge you tax ordering online so you essentially pay tax twice. Collecting tax twice also sounds illegal. Anyways, you save 8% ordering by phone.
Was driving through Columbia on my way home to Charleston. I stopped in here for a quick dinner. Glad I did! The pad Thai was excellent! Hope to come back next time I’m in town.
Had the Pho with Tofu & veggies. Delicious beef broth (there are vegan options too and lots of other soup bases) and sauce bar. Can't wait to come back
Everything we got was phenomenal
Twice have had menu issues. Will probably try again but it would be nice if things were more clear.
Took 30 minutes for me to get my to go food when others got their food before me. I saw my order back there, and it had been sitting there for 15 minutes until an employee finally asked what I got and acknowledged me and brought me the bag I had seen sitting back there. Really disappointed in lack of service.
I have been wanting to try this place for a bit to see if it lives up to the community hype. The short answer is NO. Tom Kha soup was more watery than creamy coconut based and the Pad Thai was greasy and served with a lemon (no lime?). If you are willing to spend a little more for WAY better quality, take your business to the best, Mai Thai, just down the road.
Heard good things about this place, first time going and it must have been an off day. We ordered Pad Thai and the sauce was too sweet, and served with a lemon wedge not lime? Had the chicken satay, I don’t know what sauce they put on it but it had nothing to do with peanuts, disgusting. My granddaughters ordered noodles, Thai-tanic Tom yum while it was spicy the broth had no flavor. The other had ramen and said the broth was just warm. Based on todays food, I won’t be going back
I have been here about 10 times, always for dinner and it has been great every time. Usually it is pretty busy but doesn’t take long to get your food. Good portion sizes for the price.
The dish I got tasted like store bought sauce with some noodles in it.
Excellent food, nice location, sister spot next door needs to be tried. Wish I had dropped in months ago. Enjoy!
Delicious pad Thai & other dishes that are so reasonably priced, adjacent to sushi & tea room
I live a keto lifestyle, and the menu (online and in the restaurant) offered a pasta choice, shiritaki, that is very keto friendly. Order taker informed me they stopped carrying it. I went there because it was keto friendly... my daughter loved hers, and my plain broth with chicken and mushrooms was just OK. I'm really disappointed and won't return for myself.
I don't know what all the fuss is about. My daughter and I both thought the food was nasty. Will not be visiting again.
The food is great.
This last trip my was an experience.
Best Tom yum!
Fresh and tasty, the Basil Thai rice and chicken on a stick are must haves. The staff was very cordial and helpful as well. Adding this to my "will visit often" list
This place was great when they first opened. The quality has declined each time we have eaten here. The food was overall bland and disappointing. I ordered the spicy ginger stir-fry with spice level 5/5. I was disappointed that it was 0/5 spiciness. Not even a touch of chili paste. I only got a hint of ginger on the last bite. The Pad Thai was just ok. I think they put all of the chili paste in this dish.
I would not recommend placing Togo orders over the phone. Everytime I call it either goes straight to voicemail or rings and no one answers, so I could never place a Togo order. This is the only downside.
When I do go to the restaurant and place a Togo order in person, it’s never that busy.
Food was good overall. Food did take a while to prepare.
Great food, and service has been very fast every time I've dined here. Dining area is casual but remarkably tidy given how many customers come through during peak hours. Definitely recommend if you want a great lunch or dinner without the cost or time investment you would expect when dining in somewhere, fast casual at it's finest.
A little small of a place but a solid bang for your buck, hot plate, in good quantities keeps me coming back. Good job, thanks
Delicious. Friendly. Helpful. First visit and they went above and beyond. Highly recommend. They have something for everyone, even your pickiest eater.
This is the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had. Love this place !!!
Yum! Great place for lunch or dinner. I don't even live in Columbia, and this is one of my favorite restaurants.
Awesome food and a great atmosphere.
Delicious Thai food in a relaxed fun atmosphere! The owner personally greeted us as well.
Reminds Me of New York
Love The Bowls Delicious
Food was so delicious! Authentic, tasty, and fresh ingredients. Servers were very friendly and helpful. Gluten free and vegan options. Very versatile. Clean dining area.
Big hearty portions for your buck. Generous servings for the broths.
I stopped here because I was craving Thai food and I’m visiting from out of town. Best little excursion I’ve done in SC. If you are a local come support this family owned business. You are in for a savory experience!
Ps. They played this nice violin music. I would recommend lowering the volume just a little bit. Other than that everything was great!
I had a 3:15 pickup. Server indicated it will be ready soon when I arrived on time. Four customers who came in after me and ordered at the counter were served before me. One woman who had been waiting and told her order would be ready soon went to the counter and asked again for her takeout order. Her order had been there for 15 min and the server didn't take the time to check. I then assumed this was happening to me so I asked for my order. I was told again it would be ready soon. 15 min pass. Another server brings the order. It had been sitting there since 3:15 and the original server didn't check. Not sure if this is normal customer service at this place.
Food was 3/5. Portions were big. Food could have been better. Get the drunken noodles if you get anything.
The menu is authentic, the food is tasty and served fresh. I felt like I was back in Thailand. Great place
Forgot 3 meals from my order
Duke's is usually spot-on but this visit was less than expected. I ordered the Shirataki Noodles (Ramen) with Roast Pork. The broth was luke warm and the mushrooms were cut and thrown in like an afterthought. The place was super busy and I was super hungry, so I ate it. I would not have minded waiting a few more minutes if the restaurant would have taken the time to adequately prepare my food. My advice: It really is a great restaurant but find a different place to eat if they are busy.
Love, their food! I always get takeout, but I plan to eat in soon.
This was my second visit to Duke’s. The first time I ordered pho, which was very good. This time I ordered bang bang shrimp tacos and tom kha soup. I ordered the bang bang shrimp tacos because it sounded weird enough to try, and they were fantastic! The tom kha meanwhile tasted very classic Thai and was perfect on the coldest day of the year so far. I will say it’s not always the fastest on a busy Saturday night— good food takes time, and this isn’t Burger King! I don’t mind this, but the table next to me clearly did, so please adjust expectations accordingly.
I call In two ramens for pick up, was told 25-30 mins. Arrived 30 mins after calling, pay and am told foods not ready yet, ok that’s cool I’ll wait a few no big deal, 50 mins after the person who I payed walks over and asks if I’m waiting on a completely different order I say no I’m here for *my name* oh ok and walks over to a bag that was on the counter when I payed. Awesome waste of 20 minutes for cold food.
I've been here on multiple occasions now & it's delicious 😋. See photos & just go try for yourself, I promise you won't be disappointed. My Pho wasn't as strong of a beef broth as I would like but was still very tasty. The shrimp Pad Thai is always yummy. The shrimp dumplings are tasty.
Duke's Pad Thai never fails to impress regarding taste, quality and affordability! I've tried at least half the items on their menu and EVERYTHING has been delicious! I'm fairly picky and, in my opinion, Duke's is the BEST in the Metro area for Thai/Vietnamese food! Hands down!
The food here is amazing!! I got the Pad Kee Mao and it was some of the best I've had since I was on the west coast
I eat here at least once a week. The food is fresh and delicious with good sized portions. I have dietary restrictions and the clean, simple ingredients help me be able to enjoy eating out again.
