Casual sushi bar & restaurant serving Japanese, Chinese & Thai cuisine for lunch & dinner.
Absolutely great experience at this restaurant. To start, the sushi I ordered, 8 piece Amazon Roll was fantastic, really fresh, tasty and the sauce on top of that also was delicious.
The service of the place was great! Nice friendly staff who were really sweet. The atmosphere of the place was also great too, romantic lighting, the interior design was also very cool, a whole bar and a huge television is also there as well. I would say, the area where the restaurant is is very different, The area around it feels quite abandoned, looks old, otherwise. The location made the restaurant look off unfortunately.
Otherwise, amazing restaurant, I would absolutely come back here to have some more good food.
We went during a snowstorm. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken and my buddy got some California rolls and generals chicken. All of it was great. They weren't pushy with drinks or specials. The food came quick, fresh and hot. The cost was super reasonable for two people with drinks and an appetizer for $40. I'll definitely be back.
I have been a loyal customer of this establishment for years, and it consistently delivers an exceptional dining experience. The owner is both gracious and welcoming, always ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere. The menu features a wide variety of delicious dishes, all prepared with care and attention to detail. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food offered. I highly recommend this spot, especially for a satisfying lunch.
NO, NO, NO!!! I couldn't believe my eyes when they gave me my food. This was the steak lunch special. I literally added an extra piece of meat on my plate which was the steak negimaki. this was completely unacceptable, I know a lunch special is USUAL a smaller portion amount, but to give me this little was VERY ODD. The waitress was really nice and I just wanted to leave.
This is one of my Best Friend fav spots. They offer a 30% off happy hour for a large variety of sushi rolls. You'll see from the pictures we got a slew of rolls. All of which tasted fresh and we delicious. Staff were friendly and they didn't rush us out the door as my friend and I had plenty of time to catch up. Would absolutely recommend!

So my wife and I came here for the first time because we wanted some Asian food and were on a trip to Rhode Island.
This place has SO much potential and truly we don’t know because again our first time so maybe they were having a bad day because it was Valentines Day. I can only think to myself what if people came here on a first date with their Valentine’s.. that would’ve messed it all up. Because I mean it looks nice. But we had a horrible experience. And I LOVE Asian food.
We entered and saw it was packed but mainly for take outs by the door so we hoped it was good. We sat down pretty fast and our orders were taken right away and the menu had variety! But it nearly took 2 hours for our food to get there and when it did, when I tell you everything was cold, it was COLD. And I mean cold, not luke warm. You might as well had taken it out the fridge.
I ordered General Tao’s Chicken with rice and wanted the white rice replaced with fried rice. So that’s not supposed to be cold at all. I never got my fried rice and was charged (I didn’t pay for it though) That order was also supposed to come with Miso Soup and that never came. I love miso soup. Crab Rangoon was ice cold.
They seemed so unorganized and overwhelmed. I get it but damn, it was bad. Such a let down because it has so much potential. You’d think everyone there was on their first day. We had to ask for our own silverware. The crappy part is that they knew how much they were screwed up that day but didn’t offer any salvaging. No discount for anything, not even a take home bag for a lot of the food we left out. Just poor service imo.
Again, potential, and hopefully just a bad day. Menu was great, but it was such a let down. Totally lost my appetite.
Ordered food over hour and waited when I arrived. when I go to pay, lady said it wasn’t ready.
Having lived locally for years, I know I have many options for Asian cuisine. If you’re local to RI, it goes without saying you know we don’t drive far. I’d sooner drive just a bit farther and get Wasabi than go anywhere else. 5/5 every time.

Had a great lunch with some friends here. It has a nice, peaceful atmosphere and tasty, budget friendly food! Absolutely coming back soon!
First time with my niece and her husband! Xmas Eve plenty of parking and we got seated as soon as we walked in! Great menu selection and great food portions!
Pretty mid/downright disgusting food that made me crash out. Sushi rolls are insanely mid, nothing to write home about. You could get better tasting sushi at Whole Foods. Don't even bother getting anything other than appetizers or sushi. Everything else is horrible, unseasoned, and disgusting. This place sucks.
oh yes! late night Chinese food
Just got take out but the atmosphere looked great.
It was my girlfriend's son's birthday and I told our waitress who I think may have been the owner. After we eat our meals, the waitress came back with a special dessert call my girlfriend's son and she sang Happy birthday to him. She went above and beyond and that in itself is why I will be going back. We all loved our food that we ordered.
Food was great!

Love everything, but the shrimp fried rice is the best!
while out for dinner with a friend of mine, we both got a hibachi meal, the chicken uncooked, forgot multiple of our items when we clearly ordered them and the server looked at us like we had ten heads when we asked for our missing items that were ordered Before hand, not only that but when handing us the check the server stood there waiting for us to hand her the money and said I hope you know that you need to include tip because it is not included in the price of food. (when we re looked over the bill before leaving because we were in shock about everything that happend, we saw not only did she double charge us for something that she also tried to say that she didn't, me and my friend have been coming here for years and this place is over priced and not worth the money I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt but I will not be returning, this is not the place to get treated right and I've always wondered why the have no customers when coming inside.
After moving away from Providence I needed to find a new sushi restaurant. Wasabi fits the bill perfectly!
Good food good service Thai tea was great
By far the worst asian food I have ever had!
This place is one of the best place I’ve been to it’s so nice and I can relax there easily go follow their instagram.
Best sushi in town!
From the moment we entered, they welcomed us with enthusiasm, Gina treated us very well and recommended several dishes, I loved the angry dragon sushi and definitely the appetizers and the other dishes apart from mine were super delicious, because we shared to try a little of everything.
We will definitely be back soon!
We regularly do sushi take-out lunch from here. The happy hour sushi special makes it the best value in sushi we've found in RI.
The prices are not accurate on their menus or online, expect to pay about $2 per item more
There food is the best.
One of my favorite sushi places in Rhode island try their lychee martini it always keeps us coming back
The food was fantastic and the service was incredibly quick! This was a great place to celebrate my son's birthday!
Great food and fun environment
I had the chicken and steak teriyaki and it was sooo good 5 stars! Cute ambience good drinks
Incredible sushi for a very fair price! I love it there!
I've been to 4 sushi places in the area and this is easily the best sushi. Lots of different sushi to try and they were big so you get your money's worth.
Great food. Lovely staff. Very nice music. We love this place. We go there to dine in and get take out too. It's our favorite restaurant in town.
Chinese food has a really good wok flavor. Could be a little less oily but still great!
Not good for vegetarian.
If you look at my reviews, I don't pull punches. That said, this place is a gem. The sushi is top tier and well made. Service was excellent as well. I was captivated by the atmosphere. Absolutely wonderful place. Will be back. Save me a booth!
Edit- I previously gave Wasabi 4 stars, but this was a mistake. They deserve 5 stars. If you’re reading this, you should go to Wasabi.
Wasabi has amazing sushi, and their lunchtime deals are hard to beat. This is a frequent stop for when we are in the mood for a treat. The service could be better, but that's all I could complain about.

Found hair in my food.
food was okay, waited a long time for everything overcharged me also.
Loved this restaurant, the food was awesome and the service too.🫶🏼🫶🏼
Always good, service is great. Prices are reasonable!
Always delicious and they cater to my allergies with fresh alternatives , they always have a smile on their faces and they are very kind. Also very affordable
Again. I repeat myself …. 5 stars is not enough to rate this restaurant! This is my second time here and I’m extremely impressed with the quality of the food and the consistent quality of service.
It was a last minute decision to dine out but when I heard “Wasabi”, I couldn’t resist!
I highly recommend a visit to anyone who wants to have a truly memorable experience!
Food was delicious
All around amazing.
Best spot for sushi
Love this place the booths are cut and the food is excellent
Wasn't spicy enough when I asked for spicy.
No dessert mentioned even though I asked at the beginning and they were going to check.
I like the privacy options.
Food was very good probably best Japanese food I've had in the area. Sushi is nice and fresh and o wasn't everything else. Will definitely be back
Absolutely delicious food and sushi. Atmosphere was amazing and service was even better, highly recommend!
My boyfriend and I come here whenever we’re hungry. Love it each and every time! Favorite place to get sushi!
Excellent place for Japanese cuisine and sushi. The booths with the curtains are bomb dot com.
Food was awful worst wonton soup ever. Service was not that great.
Food is terrible, cut corners, food is not fresh, sushi is bad, will never come again
The restaurant is hidden near the back of a mostly empty plaza. But the inside looks nice. There are private booths with curtains which is pretty cool. They serve generous portions of sushi here. I got orange chicken with fried rice instead the first time. Basically the same thing as your usual Chinese takeout. Nothing to rave about. All other times I ordered sushi. Again, you can find better quality at other places. But I still enjoy it. It's always rather quiet here. Maybe it's the location, but I love knowing that whenever we go here we'll be seated right away and it won't be noisy. Will return again soon.
I have been here a few times and staff is very friendly, food is always delicious, and I love the private booths!
This is a great place , extremely clean restaurant with great great food. The inside atmosphere is really nice .. very clean, even the tables here have a nice shine to them
Ordered take out, money waisted... when I got hme the noodles were covered with some black char flakes which made it not edible. Money wasted, food went straight in the garbage.
It was my baby's 30th birthday 🎂! I brought him and his baby came as well. Sophia liked the spider roll. Danny enjoyed his meal. Waitress was attentative. Food came in a relatively short time. I would recommend.
Consistency in food - always very fast service
Best yaki udon in the whole state of Rhode Island. I like my noodles THICC! 😆
The private booths are delightful and the food is delicious. I wish there was a bit more sauce or juice on the plate to mix into the rice but it's a very minor criticism.
Wow! Such a hidden gem! Some of the best sushi, appetizers, and pad Thai we've ever had! The waitress was wonderful, and my daughter absolutely loved the "kids bear" ice cream. We'll definitely be back!
Excellend food. I will definitely come here again. It's a bit out of my way from where I live but my siblings and parents and I come here as our go-to for sushi and good food. Their salad dressing is also so so good and their servers are always so sweet. Overall, I am a little disappointed they're doing 30% off instead of 50% off sushi during lunch now but honestly it was too good to be true anyways
Great food and service
Expensive but great food, nice dark atmosphere and a good variety of food. Service was a tad slow but not offensive. The pricing was the real issue,
I will include they have a really unfortunate location, pushed in a hidden back lot next to chili's
Great ambiance, delicious food!
Great spot. Lots of rolls to choose from.
Great food, service, and prices. Can’t beat it.
Super nice people, best sushi ever. Oh of course you have to try the fried rice it’s amazing! Great environment and clean too.
The sushi I ordered was served in plastic to-go containers. It tasted bland and had a super mushy texture. The tempura my partner ordered was also served in a to-go container. The actual shrimp and vegetables weren't that bad but the tempura sauce tasted like rancid oil from the deep fryer. The sashimi we had was served on an actual plate but it tasted like it was frozen and was very tough and chewy.
We ordered everything to share and they didn't give us plates or utensils. We had to ask for chopsticks and silverware. The booth we sat at was nice but the table was dirty, the ceiling and decorations were incredibly dusty and had cobwebs all over them. There was a sign on the door saying the sprinkler system was broken but another sign said open. They came outside and they explained that they could still serve food but the bathrooms were out of order. How is that safe or legal? It's illegal to make employees work without access to a restroom.
Our waitress was wearing an Abercrombie & Fitch grey sweater and she didn't write down any of our orders. She wasn't rude but definitely felt unprofessional. We were supposed to get a soup with the tempura and it never came. Everything on the bill was about $1-2 more than advertised on the menu. We spent $50 for an incredibly disappointing and frankly gross experience. Would never recommend and would never come here again.
Took my daughter out for lunch here. She loves this place so I tried it. I had the Beef tattaki for an app, so good, then we split hibachi fried rice, yaki beef upon noodles, I've never had them, they look like thick gummie worms, but they are so delicious and we shared the steak teriyaki and was offered soup or salad, I had the salad, it came with a in house made ginger creamy dressing, made from ginger, orange and pineapple juice, so good!!!!! I even bought a quart to take home. I plan on coming here many times again. We finished with dessert, Limoncelle truffle, lemony and delish!!
Still the best sushi around
Wasabi has been our go to for consistent sushi in PVD. Buuuut, we would avoid eating in because the choice of music was bonkers.
They fixed it! No more country music! A nice classical that fades into the background and the environment is now 5*!
Food tasted alright, but the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Looks like they've never had a good cleaning. I can only imagine what a nightmare the kitchen must be.
Sushi always fresh. Private booths are great. Drinks are well made. Have loved Wasabi since opening.
Few places I am skittish about ordering the charasi (because there are MANY types of raw fish) this place has never failed me in taste and cleanliness and price and has never gotten me sick.
Small portion. General Tso's wasn't crunchy. They charged .50 extra to make it extra spicy. Fried rice isn't even fried it's just white rice with a little soy sauce.
Very underrated! Service is ⛓️ and the food is 🌝. So bring your food bib and nom nom nom.
Delicious food. I just wish the service was friendlier.
Geat sushi
Lo mein was the best I’ve ever had. My baby and 2 year old son gobbled it right up. The food came out quick, the sushi was fresh.
good food, will probably go again a few times this year
Great food and welcoming staff. Interior is a bit drab though. Went for lunch and it was priced well. 2 spicy tuna sushi (got it with miso) roles and Chicken hibachi (got it with salad) and a soda for $26 before tip.
Everything is delicious! Prices are just right and the service is great! Parking not an issue!
Love their food & all at a great price!
My wife came home with take out from this place. So bad I couldn't even eat it. Worst egg rolls I ever tried. The fried rice was just rice no veggies.
Best sushi in Kent County!
To charge for more sauce after being served an anemic amount seems unreasonable.
Best sushi 🍣. Love the little cubby hole tables
OMG the best Sushi
Everytime I go they are amazing .
This place has the friendliest and most accommodating staff! Food is top notch!
Great service, drinks were just right, food was great, the private dinning rooms were awesome. I recommend Wasabi over other dine in restaurants
Great food! The sushi is excellent.
We tried japanese! Good Japanese food! Recommend!
Thought this could have been a new good spot as I like to explore RI and find new restaraunts to try out as I consider myself a foodie. Came in on a Wed earlier and service and food was good so figured I would come back Sun to 5/15 and got quite frankly got one of the rudest and unpleasant dining experiences I've had in awhile and I usually eat out 2-4 times a week. I 1st asked to sit at bar but got told only tables open but no one was at the bar. Everyone knows the bar makes the money for the restaraunts period. So I politely took a table no biggie. My waitress was the most monotone robot I've ever had. No suggestions. Didn't ask me what type of rice I wanted, didn't check up on me thru entire night. Most definitely not coming back.
Was very nice! Good discovery!
I will try to go back!
Honestly I’ve had lots of Chinese food. I get it’s known for the sushi but it’s still Asian feel me? The Chinese food was not seasoned batter wasn’t there and I’m giving you how I feel my opinion not good Chinese food. Please season your good better, portion size to small. Bland chicken, rubbery & disgusting. I will not be going back & I don’t know how they’re open. Sorry . And I’m not angry at anyone this is the food I hate .
Excellent
Great service. Food was top notch. Little private booths with curtains are nice.
Fantastic food, and wonderful prices. Nuff' said.
Food was pretty average, but the atmosphere was pretty cool. Like the private tables they have! Deserts look really good too! Would go back!
One of the best Sushi and Asian food in RI ! Hands down my family's favorite place to go !
We were seated at a private booth for dinner on a Thursday evening. The table had just been cleaned, which was great because there are lots of places skipping this step nowadays. We both ordered garden salads and shrimp shumai to split. Both were great. For entrees, we ordered a combination of rolls, including spicy tuna, yellowtail scallion, eel avocado and a special roll. All of the rolls were very good. I found the spicy tuna to be slightly mushy, otherwise, it was good. The hostess and waiter were wonderful. We will definitely be going back.
Excellent service and SUSHI
Great food at a reasonable price. Just had apps and drinks and they were good. Server was attentive and personable.
Love your menu
Great place
The sushi was wonderful, and the service very good. We were seated in a lovely private booth that made it feel like we were the only ones there. The food was very reasonably priced and we had a great night!
I’ve been eating at Wasabi for a few years now and have done takeout and dined in for lunch and dinner. They have very fast service, delicious fresh sushi, good prices, and are clean. I’ve never had a problem and my order is always 100% correct.
- [ ] Ordered Nim Chow, unusually different,no peanuts but delicious. Substituted Wonton soup($2 extra), just okay. Probably should have gone with the free Miso that comes with sushi/sashimi combo deluxe. I found the combo to be very good. Overall my experience here was pleasurable.
