The food we had was bomb!!! So so good!!! The pork potstickers were DELICIOUS- perfectly crisp and tasty!!! The red curry with shrimp and mango was so good I wish the serving was bigger (so I could take some home!) I devoured it. It was chock full of veggies- carrots, red and green peppers, mango and zucchini and what seemed to me like a lot of shrimp! I would order this dish again and again. I did ask for the red curry not the mango one. So next time I’m there I’ll have to show my pics when I order. My bf ordered a curry with chicken- the broth was not thick at all, yet still flavorful and hearty.
Our waitress was awesome, wish I had her name. She was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was a bit cold, felt to me like the air conditioning was on. I could see one space heater near our table but no heat. The place could use a little sprucing up. I’ll be back sooner rather than later.
Really great Thai food! They have a wide range of dishes, some more authentic than I usually see. I got the fresh rolls and mango curry, it was delicious. Definitely will be back again!
I loved the service here. A very friendly woman.
We had crab Rangoon, chicken Tom yum soup and red curry. All great. I think the Tom Yum soup has seafood in it even if you get chicken. It tasted like it did but i forgot to ask and I did not die so it was good lol.
Two restrooms. There’s a parking lot here because it’s in like a small strip mall. A lot of people seem to do take-out here but there are plenty of seats for dine in because of it. We stopped by while going to the laundromat because it’s conveniently right across the street. Unfortunately, no alcohol is served here. Not sure if they allow BYOB or anything.
Excited to have lunch here again the next time I do laundry across the street.
Delivery was fast, food was hot and perfect. Their menu is amazing and they're food is fresh and delicious! My go to when I need a pick me up for something healthy! Thank you for the great service!
Updated in 2024. I love KhaoSan, I've been a customer since they opened in 2017. Nancy and her crew are truly wonderful. All of the dishes are fantastic, and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Come enjoy this local treat. I love the steamed pork gyoza, moo ping, and pad thai.
The food and tea are delicious! I really love the music as well. The staff was delightful. Highly recommend!
The food here is consistently great here. My favorite Thai restaurant!

Outrageously delicious. So good. Fried chicken is perfect. Good prices too.

Amazing service. Hot tea. And curry. Nothing better on a cold day.

Nothing fancy. Good food.good service. Priced right.
I love this place. Flavors and portions are always on point. Service is always friendly and attentive. Dine-in is comfortable and space is ample. Takeout is quick and easy. Parking is a little tight/tough.
Amazing food and my favorite place to get lunch. I get green curry or drunken noodle with crispy duck, it's sad it's not nearly as busy as it should be and I think that's because of the parking situation there is more parking in back just so you know.
Best Pad Thai. Hands down!
Very welcoming, amazing food.
Great spot to eat in or take out.
Highly recommend
The portions of food for the price is awesome, the food itself was great, and the lady that was out waitress was very nice. Get food from here - just know that as of writing this review their AC was out, so maybe choose to take it to go.
Very good pad Thai!!
Delicious food but often inedibly salty. I called her to say I would not post a review because I preferred to speak first. When I said was far too salty got all kinds of excuses and denials...we don't use soy sauce...haha..explained we could make it salter at home if need be...really refused to listen to client. Will not order here afain
The food was really good. It came out fast. Service was great no complaints 👌
Great food!! Absolutely quality food here! Been eating here for years. Never disappointed!
This place is an absolute gem - one of the Best Food joints in all of East Providence. Locals and Doordashers alike know the Shrimp Pad Thai (ผัดไทย) and Pad Kee Mao (ผัดขี้เมา) are S Tier here, you would be hard-pressed to find better - ANYWHERE.
Although Crab Rangoon is not authentic Thai at all, and is often this second-rate standard affair menu item at every other asian food establishment, KhaoSan has mastered it and makes the best I have ever had. I can never not include it in my orders here.
To shout out some other dishes: the Pad See Ew (ผัดซีอิ๊ว), 'Rad Na Noodle' (ราดหน้า), and Pad Woon Sen (ผัดวุ้นเส้น) are all ELITE here as well.
As much as I absolutely LOVE this business the restaurant's Interior Decoration really struggles hard. It is clear the owners have tried their best and the place currently gives a sort of Mom and Pop's family kitchen and dining room vibe, but this place really could use some professional designers to come in, take a page out of Ebisu's book just down the street, and improve the atmosphere.
As things currently stand it just undersells how good this place truly is - a rough but wonderful gem. You would not necessarily want to take someone out on a date here even though KhaoSan is one of the best represntations of Thai food staples I've run into. The owners have my many thanks for the many delcious meals I've enjoyed, and I wish them every bit of continued success in life and in business.
Er we’re party of three. My wife is Thai and we all agreed this was the worst Thai food restaurant so far. Don’t waist your time and money here. I’m not joking.
First time ordering from here. We ordered the fresh rolls, Yellow Curry, Mango Curry and Crab Ragoons and everything was fresh and delicious!
Great tasting Thai food.
Mostly a take out place.
But sitting at one of the few tables feels a little like Thai street place.
Service is very attentive.
They also have bubble (boba) drinks.
Getting out of the small parking area into the main road is a little tricky
Great fresh rolls, vege's nice & crisp
I always get the same thing so can’t speak for other items on the menu. The Thai iced tea, drunken noodles and steamed dumplings are great every single time!!
have had take out several time and always fresh and very good, best tai place in the area
Had lunch yesterday here yesterday, and thought I’d do takeout today.

Ordered takeout and everything was absolutely delicious, and the portions were great too. The homemade chili oil is to die for, the quality of everything we ordered was fantastic, it was very clean inside, and the young lady that helped us was very kind and welcoming- I can’t wait to go back!
The pad thai, the fried rice, and the pork skewers were deliciously fresh! Would eat again!
Always great food.
除了量有点少,其他都可以
I got food poisoning from this place. ordered chicken skewers with sticky rice. Never coming back !!
Best Thai in the area
If your familiar with good Thai food. You won't be happy. They probably stay busy, not much competition in the area. Nice people though.
They served spoiled fermented lemonade
Loved the Satay and Papaya salad! Pad thai was tasty, but a little too sweet for my taste (the chicken in it was very good, though)
The food is always good. And the takeout containers are sustainable cardboard.
Always tastes fresh and delicious. Eat here at least once a week and it is consistently tasty. Very fast which is perfect for lunch
Amazing! For appetizers we got Moo Ping, pork dumplings, and scallion pancakes plus I ordered a huge bowl of beef Pho for my main (which was delicious.) I recommend the bubble tea because it's reasonable and there are so many yummy flavors. The highlight of my meal was definitely the mango sticky rice-the portion was a little small but considering how full I was it's the perfect amount! Our server was friendly and accommodating. . .give Khao San a try!
Amazing food and service. I always forget to take pics but their sausage appetizer and kuay jab (tube noodle soup) are my fav. The lady who takes our order is always super awesome and kind!
I loved the service here. A very friendly woman.

This review for Khaosan is long overdue but it's never too late to rave about it! I came across this restaurant while searching for a place for dinner in Rhode Island and was thrilled to see that Khaosan served so many Thai street food dishes. I've never seen some of these dishes served in the US before. In fact, I didn't think the meal could possibly live up to the expectation that I'd created for myself, but it somehow exceeded them!
My husband and I shared a delicious spread - Gui Chai (Chive dumpling), Moo Ping (grilled pork skewers), Som Tum (papaya salad), and sticky rice.
If we hadn't been so full from a previous meal, we would've ordered 10 more things!
The chive dumplings were incredible and the sauce was perfect. It was JUST like I would have back home.
The grilled pork skewers had my husband raving as well. The sticky rice was also perfect.
They did seem to be more of a takeout restaurant, but when we dined in, service was super friendly and attentive.
If you're looking for good Thai food in Rhode Island, please don't hesitate to check out Khaosan! Order the traditional Thai dishes and you won't regret it.
High-quality ingredients and Thai favorites such as pad thai and green curry make this an easy choice for fans of Thai food. The lunch specials make it a good choice for an adventurous lunch on a budget. Ample vegan options here that stick to your ribs.
Delicious food and amazing service! Love the Tofu Drunken noodle! Great vegetarian options too!
One of the best Thai places to order from. I have not eaten in the restaurant, but have gotten several great takeout meals. Food is always delicious and prices are very reasonable.
Very good food.
Ordered with family on new years eve! Had the drunken noodle, yellow curry, and crab rangoon. All of them were so delicious and flavorful. ❤️ definitely coming back very soon!
KhaoSan has the most delicious Thai food I’ve eaten in the Providence area, or anywhere else in the US I’ve been, for that matter. I’ve gotten takeout here 5-6 times over the past year, and as someone who rarely eats out or orders food due to the cost, I always look forward to coming back. I highly recommend the papaya salad, the basil crispy duck, and the mango sticky rice, but everything on the menu that I’ve tried has been fresh and delicious. And, even in this era of inflation, I have not seen a decrease in the quality of their food. Everything is super fresh, well-seasoned (especially if you like spicy and garlicky, which I do), and the portion sizes are generous. Hands down among the best in RI.
Very good food..service was great
Best thai in town
The food was very good
I ordered papaya salad and it was so damn sweet with wings that were frozen wing ding with nasty sticky rice...If I could give less than one star...very disappointed
Food is good but a bit pricey
Excellent food and service
Delicious hot fresh food.
Good food
Really great food with a high degree of consistency.
The Pad Thai is pretty good and so is the Thai Tea with tapioca bobo's.
Delicious! I've ordered here several times, and it's never disappointed.
This is one of my most favorite places to order takeout from. Everything is always delicious and fresh. My family always raves about how the meat is good quality and the chicken satay is the best here. I'm a vegetarian and there are plenty of options for me here too.
Always great food. Lovely service. I’m so glad this restaurant is in our neighborhood.
Take out was terrible. Soggy, gross tempura, lousy dumplings. I’m done.
Love it here! The food is amazing and the bubble tea is always made fresh!!!
Prices are about the same as veggie fun but the food is nowhere near as good; every item left something to be desired. Massaman Curry barely had any protein (chicken) and the peanuts just seemed to have been dumped in. Yellow Curry veggies were soft/overcooked and the base was too sweet. Spring Rolls were greasy and not quite savory/salty enough. Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango was just too sugary. Meh.
They have the BEST pho broth ever!! Also I absolutely love their homemade peanut sauce. Food was nice and fresh snd full of flavor
I desperately needed a good meal after moving to Providence this weekend and I settled on checking out what I have read is the best Thai place in Providence.
Being that we're still under quarantine and I had to get takeout, I cannot give a complete review of the establishment, but I got the Pad Thai, arguably the foundational dish of American/Thai cuisine, and enjoyed it.
I crave this delicious food. I could eat this Thai food everyday and never tire of it. The house friend rice is delicious. Scallion pancakes, pork dumplings, chicken satay.. it's all amazing! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The staff is always friendly and even returned our missed call moments later on a day we thought they were closed. I simply love this place.
I lived in Thailand for 5 years and this is LEGIT Thai food. The best I’ve had in town and is just like the delicious street food in Thailand. This is definitely my “go to” for authentic Thai food.
Very delicious, exceptional food. We ordered delivery to give it a try and we were so happy with the quality of everything. We will definitely order again.
I am so glad that I tried this spot! Their Tom Yum soup is amazing! I have never had better! I have also tried the Papaya salad and their spring rolls, which were both delicious!
Worst food tonight. Asked for it mild, arrived very spicy 🔥🔥 with 🌶️🌶️ flakes. Called back was told to bad, nothing they could do. The worst customer service I've ever experienced
Always solid.
Some of the best Thai food I've ever had!!!! They were so kind in accommodating my gluten-free allergy. The food is seriously amazing it's super addictive. I can't wait for them to reopen.
Gai satay was delicious.
Best Thai food in Rhode Island!
Always delicious! Highly recommend
I mean what can I say he just gives good haircuts real nice guy
Slammin
Great food and nice people
Food is slammin and prices are good. Nice people who work there as well.
Always get wonderful food and service from the people here. My favorite Thai food place by far.
Great Place! And the Food is Amazing I recommend.😀👍
Amazing Delicious Thai food!! I’m addicted to this place.
Oh my gosh I could never say enough about this place! I am so in love with this restaurant, my favorite place to get food for sure. They are allergen friendly, I cannot have gluten or dairy or egg and they always are able to make my food the way that I need it to be made. They have sustainable packaging and can even make vegan dishes if need be. Their online menu is clearly labeled what is gluten free and vegan for your convenience. They remember me and make me feel welcome (as welcome as you can feel during the pandemic anyway). All of the employees here are kind and courteous to your needs. All of their food that I have tried is absolutely amazing! If you order from here, try the duck you won’t be disappointed, it’s sooooooo good!
The food is very good, everything is freshly made.
Our experience here has been inconsistent; portion sizes vary widely from time to time and quality is questionable. First time was good, second time was awful. Our curry was watery, with coarsely chopped random veggies. I took the recommendation of the manager to try their crispy pork belly basil stir fry which ended up being 90 percent bell pepper and onion with watery sauce and a scant amount of what seemed to be 5 day old pork belly remnants. Our entire order seemed rushed and was not prepared with care - I will not order from here again. Indeed I can do better myself at home for half the cost.
Ordered a few times now me & my fiancè absolutely love it 😀. Pad thai is amazing, chicken wings are great . Papaya salad delicious & very spicy omg can't forget coconut mango.sticky rice 😋
Food expensive. Meat is tough and chicken is dry.
I had their Massaman curry and my husband had their Sriracha fried rice and we both enjoyed the food! I only wish that I got more rice but asides from that we will definitely order again in the future 😊
I ordered from here on a whim through DoorDash and had a surprisingly memorable dining experience just sitting in my living room. Hands-down the best Thai food I have had in the area. Fresh, intense flavors, nice presentation, and if you order a dish extra-spicy as I did, you get actual extra-spicy, not the typical New England version of extra-spicy. If you love authentic Thai food you will not be disappointed.
Ordered online with Doordash and the food was really good. The only thing missing was the utensils to eat. Great experience!
Best Thai food around!
I’ve been looking for some good pad thai around Providence for awhile now. I’ve tried a lot of restaurants. This place is the best I’ve had for sure. Will be back to try the rest of the menu.
Incredibly fresh!
Best Thai food around! I have been to Thailand and food here is pretty authentic. I love that you can spice your food up with chilies.
As a chef in the industry ill say these folks are on point love it super nice as well !
I had the tastiest food I’ve had in a long time. Thanks.
Great food, awesome staff, cute interior!
Decent place to dine in.
some of their lunch dishes when converted to dinner, the price goes up substantially. but the food does not. When i bought a TAKE OUT vegatable dish it appeared to be an inexpensive 7 or 8 dollar dish, but the cost was I cannot remember but the exact price it was a few months ago, but it was at least 13 dollars of maybe much more a figure of $17 sticks in my head, but in either case felt it was a terrible value and the person I brought it to also could not believe it. Aalthough i like their soups and they are a good value and lunch time salads
Very good...fresh ingredients, good service definitely will return!
Great food...fast and friendly service
It's a hidden gem, severs were sweet would go back again. If I'm in the area
So good we went two days in a row !
Good food. Inexpensive. Friendly staff.
A great surprise. Food very fresh and delicious.
Very yummy
Fast service. Got a lunch special. Great deal.
I'm a white dude who has spent considerable time in Thailand, mostly to eat my favorite cuisine, and I have had countless Thai meals, both locally and in Thailand. KhoaSan Street Food, named after the famous street in Bangkok, is simply the best around for authenticity and taste. Everything on the menu is delicious and fresh, the two main focal points of any good meal. The woman who owns it is from Thailand and a ferocious business woman who hasn't had a vacation home since she started the restaurant. Support your local businesses and let's get this woman a vacation. I know I'll do my part, because I can't get enough of this place.
Amazing Thai food. Some of the most flavorful crab rangoons I've ever eaten.
Great Thai food in East Providence. Very fresh and delicious. The yellow curry is what I had ordered
Nice clean atmosphere. Excellent service and the food is terrific
Best Thai street food ever!!!!!
I went today (April 8, 19) in the afternoon, and gave us terrible service...
I don't want come back!
Good food. Their Pad Thai is just okay (it's a little wet and the noodles are broken into small pieces) but they have other flavorful options and they have duck and whole fish.
Was great
Went for a simple dish wonton soup but it was well seasond I loved it !
Khao San is amazing. The food, atmosphere and staff are the best.
A few things: I am very picky when it comes to Thai food, I have had authentic Thai when I was young (my best friend in 9th and 10th grade was from Thailand and her family owned a restaurant), there are no great Thai places where I live now.
I came in very near to close and the staff on duty was very friendly. I believe her name is Aisha and I don't know what the guy's name was, but he said he's the brother of the owner...? Anyway, I ordered kra pow moo grab (Thai basil with crispy pork belly), papaya salad, tom kar/kha (coconut coup), and Thai iced tea. My total was about $39, which is a really good price for how much food I got. I was able to eat 3 meals from this (with extra rice I had gotten from somewhere during lunch while at work).
The food was delicious! The salad was spicier than I expected, but not intolerable. (I think I ate a pepper without realizing it, cause my first bite was too intense, but after that, I picked out the chili peppers and everything was within my heat preference). Also, papaya salad is my favorite! I haven't had it since I was a teen and they make theirs the traditional way!
The tom kha wasn't my favorite, but it was still really good! I guess I am just used to it and prefer it being a simple light soup similar to tom yum, with mushrooms, sliced white onions, scallions, tomatoes, and a little bit of coconut milk. I also prefer mine with tofu, but they were out so I got just veggies. It had broccoli, carrots, onion, cabbage, tomato, and zucchini. Not what I thought was gonna be in it, but I wasn't disappointed.
As I mentioned, it was near to close and when I opened my food back at the hotel, I could tell it had been made fresh when I ordered it. Nothing looked or tasted like it had been sitting for any extended amount of time. The pork belly was crispy and delicious and the sauce was amazing! Also, how you can tell everything was fresh when it was made; leftovers sat in my fridge for 3 days, I've reheated it 2 times and it still tasted the same as when I first ordered it, plus the papaya salad didn't start to wilt until today (the 3rd day).
I will definitely be going back again a few times while I'm in the area and hopefully get to also try food from the restaurant called Pakarang in Providence. I hear that place is really great too!
